Former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak has been hit with another massive tax bill by the IRS.
Us Weekly was first to report that Zolciak owes more than $163,000 in back taxes for three years, according to a lien the federal government filed against her.
She reportedly owes the government $104,009.82 for 2019, $24,471.87 for 2023 and $35,322.71 for 2024.
That totals out to $163,804.30.
This is the second lien taken out against Zolciak. The first one was filed in April 2023, along with her now estranged husband, former Atlanta Falcon Kroy Biermann.
At that time, the couple owed $1.1 million for unpaid taxes, interest and penalties from 2013, 2017 and 2018, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.
This is not the first time Zolciak has faced financial woes.
In Dec. 2024, we reported that Zociak’s wages had been garnished because she owed more than $215,000 to American Express.
In June 2024, Zolciak was ordered by a Fulton County judge to pay her nearly $2,500 Target bill.
Since her split with Biermann, Zolciak has moved to Cobb County. The couple’s divorce still has not been finalized and continues to move through the legal system.
The couple were married in 2011 and first filed for divorce in May 2023, but was then called off shortly after. The couple filed for divorce again in August 2023, saying the marriage was “irrevocably broken.”
Biermann was forced to file for divorce for a third time last month after the couple sold and moved out of their Milton mansion and Zolciak moved to Cobb County.

#MusicNews: Bruno Mars Announces New Album ‘The Romantic’ Release Date

Bruno Mars fans won’t have to wait much longer for new music. The global star has announced his fourth album, The Romantic, will release Feb. 27 via Atlantic Records.
The first offering from Mars’ highly anticipated album is set to drop Friday (Jan. 9), as first reported by HitsDailyDouble. “New music this Friday,” Mars shared in an Instagram caption for the official album cover. “The Romantic coming 2.27.”
Mars first sent his fans into a frenzy when he confirmed his upcoming project — his first solo LP in 10 years — was complete. “My album is done,” he told his millions of followers across Instagram and X/Twitter.
The Romantic is the follow-up to his 2016 blockbuster 24K Magic, which spawned six Grammy wins, including for Album of the Year and Best R&B Album. The album also included Mars’ smash hit “That’s What I Like,” crowned Song of the Year and Best R&B Song at the Grammys.
Since then, Mars teamed with Anderson .Paak to form their duo Silk Sonic and released the smash album, An Evening With Silk Sonic, in 2021. The album was preceded by the D’Mile and Mars-produced “Leave The Door,” which racked up four wins at the 64th Grammy Awards, including the coveted Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
In 2024, Mars embarked on a short but impactful features run. He first joined forces with rapper Sexyy Red for their cheeky collab “Fat Juicy & Wet.” Then, he teamed with Lady Gaga for their immortal duet “Die With A Smile,” which spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Last but not least, Mars joined ROSÉ of K-pop group on “APT.,” another hit that peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 100 and is nominated in three categories at the 2026 Grammys: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
In October 2025, Mars achieved 10 new certifications from the RIAA. His debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, was upped to 9x platinum (nine million units sold in the U.S.). Among the album’s tracks, “Just The Way You Are” became 21x platinum — now the highest-certified single of all time — while “Grenade” reached 16x platinum, “The Lazy Song” hit 10x platinum and “Marry You” rose to 7x platinum.
The Romantic is available for preorder at Bruno Mars’ official webstore. As of now, the first pressing edition vinyl (numbered) is available for $29.98.

#HipHopNews: Latto Says She’d Tap Doja Cat, Cardi B And More For A Modern-Day Version Of “Ladies Night”
Latto’s picks include Cardi B, Doja Cat, GloRilla, YKNIECE and herself for a reimagined “Not Tonight (Ladies Night).”
She also shouted out Pooh Beatz, Go Grizz and Coupe as producers she’d want to work on the beat.
Her vision highlights the collaborative spirit and evolution of women in Hip Hop today.
Although posse cuts, especially ones led entirely by women, are a rarity in today’s era of rap, Latto already has her dream lineup ready to go. On Tuesday (Jan. 6), the Atlanta rapper revealed who she’d recruit for a modern-day version of Lil’ Kim’s “Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)” in her interview with Okayplayer.
“Hmmm… probably me, Doja Cat, YKNIECE, GloRilla and Cardi B. I think that checks a lot of boxes and is unexpected, haha,” Latto told the publication. She also knows who she wants behind the boards: “My favorite producers are Pooh Beatz, Go [Grizzly] and Coupe, so definitely one or all of my boys.”
Many of the artists that Latto mentioned are people she’s teamed up with before — some more recently than others. In September, she reunited with Cardi for “ErrTime (Remix),” their first record together since “Put It On Da Floor Again.” Meanwhile, Big Mama and Doja both appeared on Summer Walker’s TikTok-viral “Go Girl” back in November.
Latto and GloRilla already have multiple collaborations under their belt, while YKNIECE is a relatively new face compared to the other artists she named. As mentioned in Rap-Up’s Women In Hip Hop To Know Beyond The Major Stars list, the “Pressure” artist has popped up on plenty of big records over the past year, including PLUTO’s “WHIM WHAMIEE” and Metro Boomin’s “Take Me Thru Dere.”
Only time will tell if another “Ladies Night” ever materializes, but there’s at least a chance it could land on Latto’s next LP, which she confirmed is in the works. “I’m working on a new album, and no lie, I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited to share a body of work,” she told Okayplayer.
“With my last album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, I felt like I bet on myself and took a step into a new chapter. This is feeling like the new and improved version of that,” the Grammy-nominated artist continued.

Thousands gather to memorialize woman killed by ICE agent in Minneapolis
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent shot and killed a woman in south Minneapolis during a morning confrontation between community members and federal officers on Jan. 7. The incident aggravated an already tense standoff between the Trump administration, as it cracks down on immigrants in Minnesota, and state and city leaders who demanded the federal government pull back.
The mother of the woman who was killed identified her as Renee Nicole Good, 37, a Minneapolis resident.
At a late afternoon news conference, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem characterized the incident as an act of domestic terrorism on the part of the driver, alleging she “weaponized” her vehicle against federal officers. Republican President Donald Trump, in a statement on the incident, said the driver “viciously ran over” the ICE officer, though several videos captured by bystanders do not support that claim.
Several residents of the area who witnessed the scene said agents were ordering the woman out of the vehicle. A video showed agents around the vehicle as the driver reversed and then pulled forward. One agent appeared to fire multiple rounds into the car.
The agent, who has not been identified, is seen walking away after firing the fatal shots. Noem said he was struck by the vehicle and then later treated and released from a local hospital.
In a fiery news conference at City Hall, Mayor Jacob Frey called on ICE to “get the fuck out of Minneapolis.” Frey and Gov. Tim Walz, both Democrats, took issue with the administration’s version of what happened. They put out calls for calm, but also said Minnesotans have the right to peacefully demonstrate over what happened.
“To the family, I’m so deeply sorry,” Frey said.

Dr. Karri Bryant Addressed the Dress Controversy With Tamron Hall
Pastor Jamal H. Bryant and his wife, Dr. Karri Bryant, are facing critics head-on. The two had tongues wagging when a photo surfaced of the two attending the 2025 UNCF Atlanta Mayor's Masked Ball at Signia by Hilton Atlanta on Dec. 20, with Dr. Bryant in a flesh-colored dress with black lace.
Some on social media were outraged by the dress and incorrectly accused her of wearing a sheer one, shaming her, as first lady of a church, for wearing such an outfit. Pastor Bryant, who heads up Atlanta’s New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and is the ex-husband of the Real Housewives of Potomac and Beyond the Gates star Gizelle Bryant, fired back at critics on Instagram. He stated:
I needed to get this straight. I needed to deal with it head on. Because the other day, the internet went crazy about a dress my wife had on. Now they didn't say anything about the $4 million dollars that was raised for the United Negro College Fund. They never mentioned that she prayed until Heaven came down. They never said anything about how this was the largest fundraiser for HBCUs in the country. But insecure, jealous, petty small-minded people got in their feelings and set up a false barometer of holiness based off of a dress.
The two appeared on Tamron Hall to talk about their marriage, the activism Pastor Bryant is involved in, and the infamous dress. Dr. Bryant told Hall she picked the dress she wore to the event and read the comments where some claimed she wanted the attention. She remarked:
My ego is not that big. I don’t dress for people. I dress for myself and for my husband.

A Museum Dedicated to Civil Rights Is Opening In Harlem
A new museum that is dedicated to the Civil Rights Movement will be opening in Harlem, New York, this summer, thanks to the National Urban League. The Urban Civil Rights Museum will be New York City’s first institution dedicated to the movement, with a focus on how it played out in Northern U.S. cities.
The museum is slated to open in June in coordination with the organization’s anniversary, and will be housed in the Empowerment Center, which is the National Urban League’s recently opened headquarters in Harlem. In a recent commemoration of the center, National Urban League CEO Marc Morial stated that the new building “is a declaration that we will not be erased, that our history matters, and that our communities deserve investment—not neglect.”
“It would be misleading to present the history of the northern cities outside the context of the Atlantic Slave Trade and the institutionalized enslavement of African people and their descendants,” said Urban Civil Rights Museum Executive Director Jennifer Scott in a press statement. “What did it really mean to be a free Black New Yorker, pre-Civil War, when states as nearby as New Jersey were still enslaving people, and how complicated was the idea of freedom at that time?”
The Urban Civil Rights Museum will also focus on earlier eras of the movement, such as the establishment of the free Black and independent community in Weeksville, Brooklyn, in the 19th Century as an example. Scott was previously a public historian at the Weeksville Heritage Center earlier in her career. In addition, the social and artistic renaissance periods in Chicago, Detroit, and Washington, D.C., among other cities
will be covered.
There will be rotating exhibitions in the space, as well as immersive experiences for patrons who visit. There will also be a planned cafe and retail space. For more information, those interested can check out their website.

Ray J Reportedly Rushed to Hospital After Experiencing Heart Pain
Ray J has reportedly been hospitalized after suffering from severe heart pain. Recent reports have emerged claiming that the singer is experiencing some serious health issues and has received immediate medical attention.
According to a recent report by TMZ, Ray J was admitted to a Las Vegas hospital on Wednesday. Sources close to the singer have claimed that he is suffering from a “severe” case of pneumonia and heart pains. The singer has received an echocardiogram and X-rays.
The reported medical issue comes four years after Ray J battled another serious bout of pneumonia in October 2021. At the time, the “Wait a Minute” hitmaker told TMZ that the doctors initially placed him in the COVID wing of the hospital before figuring out the official diagnosis.
“I thought it was over. I started praying and knew God is good, so I just kept praying,” Ray J told the outlet when doctors assumed he had COVID. However, all COVID tests came out negative, and the singer was removed from the wing two days later. According to insiders, Ray J reportedly thought that the illness stemmed from his “busy schedule” and “constant travel.” Following the trip to the hospital, the singer reportedly “realized he needs to take care of his health.”
Ray J’s recent pneumonia scare comes a few weeks after the singer shared a bizarre update on his Instagram. He posted a reel on December 13, 2025, announcing that he is filming a new show called “Celebrity Hitchhiker.” “I’m hitchhiking right now to try to get a place to stay tonight,” the singer stated. “Hopefully I can meet a new family, and it can take me in and teach me about their rules and their goals and life, and then send me on my way to the next destination.”
Ray J told his followers that he was in Tampa, Florida, all by himself, and he needed to get back to Los Angeles. “I do have a change of clothes right here in my bag. I need to get back before December 22nd, so I’m on a Celebrity Hitchhiking scouting run,” he added.

John Legend Expected To Testify In L.A. Reid’s Sexual Assault Case, Trial To Begin Next Week

Music executive #LAReid is scheduled to stand trial next week in Los Angeles over s3xual assault allegations made by former Arista Records vice president #DrewDixon, stemming from incidents she says occurred in 2001 while they worked together. Dixon claims Reid assaulted her twice and then damaged her career after she refused his advances, an assertion Reid has denied.
Dixon, who has since become a prominent advocate for survivors of abuse in the music industry, also claims Reid used his influence to have her blackballed and even blocked her signing of singer John Legend at the label. Sources told Page Six that John is expected to testify as a witness. Dixon’s advocacy helped advance the Adult Survivors Act, a law that temporarily lifted time limits on bringing historical abuse claims, a key factor that allowed this lawsuit to proceed.

#RIP XXL & The Source Magazine Founding Editor James Bernard Dies

James Bernard, a pioneering Hip-Hop journalist and media executive who helped shape the editorial voice of The Source and later co-founded XXL, has died. His death was confirmed by colleagues in media and friends. Additional details surrounding the cause of death were not immediately available.
“His passion of music was legendary. A Class Act. James helped shepherd Hip-Hop from skepticism to seriousness, from novelty to culture,” said Questlove on his Instagram page. “This loss hits deep for everyone who learned how to listen through his words. Rest In Beats Sir.”
Bernard was a central figure in the rise of Hip-Hop journalism during the late 1980s and 1990s, a period when rap music was emerging as a dominant cultural and commercial force.
He is best known for his work at The Source, where he rose to become co-editor-in-chief and helped establish the magazine as the most influential Hip-Hop publication of its era.
At The Source, Bernard played a key role in developing an editorial approach that treated Hip-Hop as both an art form and a social force. Under his leadership, the magazine blended music criticism with political commentary, investigative reporting, and cultural analysis, helping to legitimize Hip-Hop journalism within mainstream media while remaining rooted in the culture.
In 1994, Bernard was among senior editors who abruptly left The Source following internal disputes over editorial independence and business practices. The departure became one of the most significant moments in Hip-Hop media history and marked a turning point in the magazine’s leadership and direction.
Following his exit, Bernard co-founded XXL alongside fellow editor Reginald Dennis. Launched in 1997, XXL quickly became The Source’s chief competitor and established its own identity through long-form journalism, in-depth artist profiles, and a broader editorial lens that connected Hip-Hop to fashion, politics, and popular culture. Bernard’s role in shaping XXL’s early vision helped solidify the magazine as a long-running institution in Hip-Hop media.
Author and journalist Rob Kenner said, “He took a stand for editorial integrity and journalistic independence—values that are still under threat to this day.”
Beyond magazine publishing, Bernard’s career reflected a wider engagement with culture and civic life. He later served as national field director for the Hip-Hop Political Convention, an effort aimed at mobilizing young voters and translating Hip-Hop’s cultural influence into political participation. He was also involved with initiatives supported by the Rockefeller Foundation that focused on race, democracy, and public discourse.
Bernard contributed writing to mainstream outlets including The New York Times, The Village Voice, and Entertainment Weekly, expanding Hip-Hop’s presence in legacy media. He also co-authored The New Book of Rock Lists, demonstrating a breadth of knowledge that extended beyond rap.
In recent years, Bernard continued public service work, including community outreach efforts in New York City connected to public health initiatives. Friends and colleagues described him as deeply principled and committed to the idea that media should serve both truth and community.
Chris Latimer, an album of The Source, said, “There was nobody on this earth like James Bernard. The brother not only embodied brilliance and a high IQ, but he was genuinely excited about Hip-Hop and genuinely excited for you as a Black entrepreneur. There were no signs of ego, no disdain that sometimes comes with superintelligence.”
He also graduated Juris Doctor c## laude from Harvard Law School in March, 1992 and received his Bachelor of Arts (Honors), at Brown University with a concentration in Public Policy and American Institutions.
James Bernard is remembered as a foundational figure in Hip-Hop journalism and an editor who helped build the standards, language, and infrastructure. His life’s work continues to shape how the culture is reported and understood, especially with AllHipHop. His influence endures in generations of writers, editors, and platforms that followed the path he helped create.

Chris Redd Opens Up About “Pill Issues” He Had During ‘SNL’, Admits He Sold To Castmates
Nearly four years after his Saturday Night Live exit, Chris Redd is opening up about his behind-the-scenes mental health journey.
The comedian said he’s “leading with a lot more vulnerability and openness” as he revealed that he struggled with a pill addiction during his stint on the NBC sketch comedy show from 2017 to 2022.
“While I was at the show, I had some pill issues. I had some pill problems, nothing too crazy, but crazy for my Black ass,” he admitted in an Instagram video. “And I was even selling some to the people, some of my castmates. I’m not gonna snitch on y’all motherf*ckers, man.”
Redd continued, “But I found it really funny that I would be around, on this sh*t, and people would talk sh*t about it and buy. People would talk sh*t about me, because I would hear them—you know, some of the Adderall got you super hearing and sh*t—but wouldn’t help me. I would have panic attacks, and [they] wouldn’t be concerned about me or nothing like that. Just would talk shit. It’s crazy how somebody would watch you destroy yourself.”
In the video, Redd also opened up about dating his castmate Kenan Thompson‘s ex-wife Christina Evangeline, “the only one to call me on my sh*t, to help me with my sh*t,” who also helped him with his therapy journey.
“But I did choose love, and that’s what this story is. And it made me look terrible,” added Redd. “It made me look terrible to people I love and a lot of my fans.”
Redd said he and Thompson “talked about it, and we were cool, and we continued to work together for a year after,” but noted that “sh*t changed” after everyone else found out.
The comedian’s tearful confessional comes as he prepares for his stand-up show on Jan. 28 at Caveat in New York City. He can also be seen in the upcoming comedies Run and What the F*ck Is My Password?.

Snoop Dogg's Daughter Cori Broadus Shares Her Baby Girl Is Home After 10-Month NICU Stay

Snoop Dogg’s family has some news and it’s beautiful.
The rapper’s daughter Cori Broadus revealed that her daughter Codi—who was born last February when she was 25 weeks pregnant—has been released from the hospital after spending 10 months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) following her premature birth.
“She’s home,” the 26-year-old wrote alongside the Jan. 6 Instagram carousel that featured snaps of her and her baby girl in bed. “Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”
She also offered another glimpse at her daughter—whom she shares with fiancé Wayne Deuce—as she playfully ticked her while she laid beside her.
Cori—whose mom is Shante Broadus—announced Codi’s birth in February, sharing that she arrived six months into her pregnancy and reflecting on the emotional journey.
“I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself that I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed,” she wrote in the Feb. 28 Instagram post. “But no matter what God always shows me that I’m His Child!”
As for Snoop, he credited Codi’s birth and improvement with her health as one of the highlights of his year.
“My granddaughter being born,” Snoop—who shares children Corde, 31, and Cordell, 28, with his wife of 28 years as well as son Julian, 27, from a previous relationship—told People in September. “My last granddaughter was born earlier this year. She was born premature and she’s doing very well now.”

Michael B. Jordan Regrets This Most After Chadwick Boseman’s Death
Michael B. Jordan got candid about the impact of Chadwick Boseman’s passing on him in a new interview. He garnered immense praise for his performance as the twins, Smoke and Stack, in Ryan Coogler’s 2025 period horror film, “Sinners.” In the interview, he discussed how the movie pushed him out of his comfort zone and opened up about his biggest regret about Boseman’s death.
Michael B. Jordan reveals he has this regret after Chadwick Boseman’s death
During his interview on CBS’s Sunday Morning, host Tracy Smith asked Michael B. Jordan about a comment “Sinners” director Ryan Coogler had made about how Boseman’s passing affected Jordan. Coogler had said that the star’s death “messed everybody up,” but Jordan might have had the hardest time.
The question had clearly shaken up the “Creed” star, who took a moment to compose himself. Then, he replied, “I mean, I don’t know… yeah. Chad’s a very special person. I just wish I had more time with him. I think that’s the hurtful thing.”
Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan famously co-starred in the MCU movie, “Black Panther,” as T’Challa and Erik Killmonger, respectively. Not only did the movie catapult them to global stardom, but it also forged a lasting friendship between the two actors. Boseman passed away in 2020 at the age of 43, leaving behind his dear friends and family.
Elsewhere, in the interview, Jordan recalled how Boseman’s dedication to his work inspired him even after his passing. The 38-year-old revealed that maintaining a Southern accent for “Sinners” was challenging. So, early on during the production, Coogler posed a simple question to help his lead actor lock in. He asked Jordan, “What would Chad do in this situation?”
The “Fantastic Four” actor said there was nothing he needed to hear after Coogler asked him that question. He recounted how Boseman never lost his accent while working on “Black Panther,” saying, “When Chadwick was playing T’Challa, he never broke. Always kept his accent, at home, on set, everywhere. He always had it.”

NFL Star Rashee Rice’s Ex Posts Shocking Bruises, Documenting Years of Alleged Abuse and Control

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is facing serious allegations after his former girlfriend accused him of domestic abuse in a public social media post.
Rice, a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of SMU, has shown promise on the field when healthy, emerging as a key target in the Chiefs’ offense. His NFL career, however, has already been marked by off-field challenges, including a multi-vehicle crash that led to a six-game suspension earlier this season. Now, new accusations could place him under further scrutiny.
On January 7, Rice’s ex-girlfriend, Dacoda Nichole, shared an Instagram post alleging years of physical and emotional abuse. Nichole, who says she shares two sons with Rice, posted photos showing visible bruising and injuries to her face, lips, and legs, alongside a lengthy caption detailing her claims.
“DOMESTIC AWARENESS WARNING‼️” Nichole wrote. “I’m so tired of keeping quiet. I’m so tired of protecting his image. I’ve been through too much in a span of 8 years, and I’ve had ENOUGH!” she continued. “I’ve dealt with abuse for years, me and this man decided to break up a couple months ago, and since then it’s been nothing but hell.”
Nichole further alleged that the abuse continued while she was pregnant.
“He’s very controlling there’s been times he’s came to my new home broken my door, there’s been times when he would put his hands on me while I was pregnant even had the audacity to lock me outside all night in ten degree weather because he got caught cheating,” she wrote.
In addition to the abuse claims, Nichole accused Rice of infidelity and failing to consistently support or communicate with their children. “I’m just tired of him not doing right by my boys,” she wrote. “It’s not fair he doesn’t call them.”
The allegations have not been addressed publicly by Rice as of this writing. The situation remains ongoing, and these claims have not been independently verified. Situations involving alleged domestic violence are deeply serious, and our thoughts are with all those affected as more information emerges.

Trump Says Venezuela Is Turning Over 30–50 Million Barrels of Oil and He’ll Control the Money
A new flashpoint in U.S. foreign policy took shape Tuesday night after Donald Trump announced that Venezuela will transfer tens of millions of barrels of oil to the United States following a dramatic shift in power.
Trump said Venezuela’s interim authorities have agreed to turn over between 30 million and 50 million barrels of what he described as high-quality, sanctioned oil. The announcement came days after a U.S. military operation that resulted in the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and a rapid restructuring of the country’s leadership.
“I am pleased to announce that the Interim Authorities in Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 MILLION Barrels of High Quality, Sanctioned Oil, to the United States of America,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He added, “This Oil will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me, as President of the United States of America, to ensure it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States!”
Trump has been clear that the U.S. plans to take an active role in Venezuela during what he calls a transition period. He has said the United States will “run” Venezuela until a “safe, proper and judicious transition” can take place, with American oil companies stepping in to manage and rebuild the country’s petroleum infrastructure.
In his post, Trump said Energy Secretary Chris Wright was tapped to oversee the logistics, with oil moved by storage ships directly to U.S. ports.
Addressing comparisons to the Iraq war, Trump dismissed the criticism outright. “The difference between Iraq and this is that [George W. Bush] didn’t keep the oil. We’re going to keep the oil,” he said, according to Joe Scarborough. He added, “In 2016, I said we should have kept the oil… Well, we should have kept the oil. And we’re going to rebuild their broken-down oil facilities, and this time we’re going to keep the oil.”
