The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Shamea Morton is accusing an Atlanta doctor of "negligently burning" her during a chemical peel.
On Oct. 31, Morton and her husband, Gerald Mwangi, filed a medical malpractice suit against Dr. Jing Jing Wong Harris and her company, Pretty Faces Atlanta, alleging that a treatment left Morton with "extensive permanent scarring."
The complaint claims that because of Morton's fungal skin condition, tinea versicolor, she "should never have undergone a chemical peel" and should instead have "been referred to a trained and qualified dermatologist."
The suit states that the treatment, which took place on March 13, 2024, was "negligently and recklessly applied" by Pretty Faces Atlanta employee Lauren M. Davis, whose license as an assistant cosmetic laser practitioner with the Georgia Composite Medical Board lapsed in 2019.
According to the complaint, Davis "applied double the amount of the chemical peel recommended by the manufacturer, resulting in second degree chemical burns, blistering and permanent scarring," also claiming that the treatment should have been done "under the supervision of a licensed and properly trained medical physician," and that Dr. Harris "failed to provide any supervision whatsoever."
The suit also states that the manufacturer of the chemical peel solution "warns that individuals with dark skin have the highest risk of developing skin discoloration," but alleges that there is no documentation showing that Morton "understood the increased risks for darker skin patients, especially African Americans, with this type of chemical peel."
Included in the filing is a photo of Morton's skin, which is appears to be severely discolored.
The reality star claims she "cried in pain" during the treatment, prompting Dr. Harris to enter the room "for the first time that day." When Morton reported that she was in pain, the suit claims Dr. Harris allegedly "told her she was being dramatic." After seeing her tears, Dr. Harris "applied an unknown solution from a spray bottle" to her back, the suit continues
The suit demanded unspecified damages but cited that Morton had "suffered severe personal injuries and other damages including, but not limited to, pain and suffering, permanent scarring, future medical treatment, future pain and suffering, loss of earning capacity, and other consequential, special and general damages."

#MusicNews: Stevie Wonder Cancels House Full Of Toys Benefit Concert: ‘Big Idea, Little Time’
To celebrate the 26th edition of his House Full of Toys holiday benefit concert, Stevie Wonder said in a promo video that he was “switching things up.” Instead of performing for one night, the 25-time Grammy-winning legend would perform across four nights — Dec. 18, 19, 20 and 21 — at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, however, Wonder is canceling his “big idea” owing to “little time” — with plans to present the benefit concert again next year.
In a statement Wonder read on his L.A. radio station KJLH, he explained, “A week and a half ago I came up with the idea of doing four nights at the Fonda Theatre to raise money for House Full of Toys. Big idea. Little time. So because of that little time, I’ve decided to cancel all four shows. Yet still I will this year put my money where my heart is by giving a substantial donation for the children for House Full of Toys. And next year, we will again do House Full of Toys with the big idea and enough time to put it together.”
People who purchased tickets are being emailed about refunds.
As per tradition, Wonder’s annual benefit concert asks that attendees bring an “unwrapped toy or unwrapped gift of joy.” Presented by the singer/songwriter’s nonprofit We Are You Foundation, House Full of Toys helps assist children, people with disabilities and families in need.
In past years, House Full of Toys has welcomed performers such as Lionel Richie, Queen Latifah, Jazmine Sullivan, Anderson .Paak and Ella Mai in addition to Wonder. The 2024 edition of House Full of Toys — tied to Wonder’s “Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart” tour that year — featured Jon Batiste, Lucky Daye and El DeBarge.

This past Saturday (Dec. 13), the Brooklyn rapper performed at MN Gold Room in Minneapolis, but things took an unexpected turn when someone reportedly threw a bottle at Bobby and yelled "F**k Bobby Shmurda!" The moment of the bottle being tossed at him wasn't caught on video, however, the big brawl that followed was.
Bobby can be seen fighting with multiple men in front of the bar. The situation heated up when many people were seen joining in rather than attempting to break up the violence. At one point, Bobby jumped into the DJ booth to throw a mic at the attackers. Eventually, police showed up and escorted the rhymer outside to his vehicle. Even then, Bobby wasn't going without a fight. He appeared eager to finish what the other men started by allegedly throwing a bottle at him.
The pendant on Bobby's chain apparently went missing during the fight, but it was soon recovered. He posted a video of himself on Instagram to show that he still had the pendant in his possession.
"Jeweler Come fix my sh*tt litt mob we always mobbing," he posted along with hashtags for Gang Violence, Two Armed and Local Famous.
He even put up another video of himself dancing around to 310babii's 2023 song "Soak City (Do It)" shortly after the club fight to show that he wasn't injured in the scuffle.

This week, Courtney B. Vance was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, beyond receiving one of the industry’s most coveted honors, the ceremony was made extra special with speeches by Vance’s wife, Angela Bassett, and their children, Slater and Bronwyn.
“As an actor, Courtney is committed, relatable, and deeply reliable. He shows up fully every time, onstage, on-screen, and on television, grounding each performance in emotional truth and the human complexity,” Bassett said of her husband, whom she has been married to since 1997. ”You feel it. You trust him, and you remember him […] Courtney has built a body of work that endures. Audiences don’t just watch, they absorb.”
“Today’s honor is deeply deserved,” she continued. This star recognizes not only his artistry, but his integrity, his generosity, and his grace with which he moves through the world. I’m proud of you. I love you, and I’m grateful that the world now has a star that bears your name.”
The actor’s son Slater then stepped to the podium, crowning his father as “the most altruistic public servant,” before praising his father’s caring nature.
“Empathy and taking care of people are one thing, but consistently bearing witness to others existences is entirely another. I’ve never seen someone cherish people like my father, expecting and wanting no award,” he continued. “This man goes out of his way to make sure that people around him are at ease, helping in any way conducive to that goal.”
Reflecting on a recent conversation he had with Vance about balancing investing in both others and himself, Slater recalled his father’s advice: “’You have to be like water, son. Permeable at everything to everyone before you, but not so fluid that you forget it. That when it’s time to take solid form, you have it in your capacity. There is a time for everything and wisdom, which comes from God is knowing, is knowing, and what time it is.”
“Well, I know what time it is today. It’s time for the giver to receive, and I couldn’t be prouder. Witnessing a man who asks for nothing, receive everything,” Slater added, concluding his speech. “Father, you’ve been an exemplary role model to me every day I work to become at least half the man that you are.”
His twin sister, Bronwyn, echoed these sentiments in her speech, during which she described Vance as “the greatest man I have ever known.”
“The world knows him as an award-winning actor on stage and screen, but today I want to share how he’s been an award-winning father at home,” she said. “No matter how far away his work took him, whether he was gone for months doing a Broadway show or filming ‘The People v. O. J. Simpson,’ my dad called me every single night, and every night he prayed with me.”

Romy Reiner and Jake Reiner broke their silence following the death of their parents Rob Reiner, 78, and Michele Reiner, 70. The couple were found dead in their Los Angeles home Dec. 14.

The daughter and son of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner shared appreciation for the outpouring of support the family received after the couple were found dead in their Los Angeles home Dec. 14.
Rob and Michele’s 32-year-old son Nick Reiner has since been arrested and booked on suspicion of murder in connection to their deaths, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
"Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day," they said in a Dec. 17 statement obtained by NBC News. "The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience. They weren't just our parents; they were our best friends."
"We are grateful for the outpouring of condolences, kindness, and support we have received not only from family and friends but people from all walks of life," they added. "We now ask for respect and privacy, for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity, and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave."
Previously, the family—which includes Tracy Reiner, whom Rob adopted while married to late ex-wife Penny Marshall—said in a statement that they were “heartbroken” by Rob and Michele’s deaths.
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner,” they told Variety Dec. 14. “We ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.”
And Romy and Jake shared a special bond with their parents. In fact, Romy gave a recap of the family’s tropical vacation weeks before Rob and Michele’s untimely passing.
In a carousel posted to Instagram Dec. 1, Romy shared a video of dad Rob, 78, swimming in the ocean and a photo of mom Michele, 70, wrapped in a green and white towel on the beach.
“Thankful for family, health,” she wrote in the caption, “and followers of any age.”
The You People actress also proved she and Rob shared the same sense of humor, quipping that her career “hadn’t really taken off” and jokingly asked her dad if he thought a Brazilian butt lift would help as she gave him a haircut in a 2024 Instagram video.
“You think that would make people take you more seriously?” Rob questioned. “Or they'll just say, ‘Boy, your ass is big.’”
While Romy explained that it would help others pay attention to her “craft,” her filmmaker dad joked, “Look at her crack. Her craft and her crack.”

The Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective (BMC) will host the fourth annual Recording Academy Honors, celebrating the careers of Pharrell Williams, Brandy and Kirk Franklin on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026. The GRAMMY Week event will take place at the Fairmont Century Plaza, just days before Music’s Biggest Night.
Williams will be presented with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, recognizing his musical achievements along with his entrepreneurial innovation, philanthropic efforts and far-reaching cultural influence worldwide. Brandy will receive the Black Music Icon Award, recognizing Black music creators whose artistry, innovation and service have shaped the industry and inspired generations around the world. Franklin will also receive the Black Music Icon Award.
Since its inception, the BMC has remained dedicated to championing and empowering Black music creators and industry leaders. Past honorees include Alicia Keys, Dr. Dre, JAY-Z, John Legend, Lenny Kravitz, Lil Wayne, Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, and Sylvia Rhone. In further support of its mission to cultivate the next generation of Black leaders in music, the BMC awarded $85,000 in scholarship grants last year to Black college students and HBCU music programs.

The GRAMMY Week event will take place at the Fairmont Century Plaza, just days before Music’s Biggest Night.
Williams will be presented with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, recognizing his musical achievements along with his entrepreneurial innovation, philanthropic efforts and far-reaching cultural influence worldwide. Brandy will receive the Black Music Icon Award, recognizing Black music creators whose artistry, innovation and service have shaped the industry and inspired generations around the world. Franklin will also receive the Black Music Icon Award.
Since its inception, the BMC has remained dedicated to championing and empowering Black music creators and industry leaders. Past honorees include Alicia Keys, Dr. Dre, JAY-Z, John Legend, Lenny Kravitz, Lil Wayne, Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, and Sylvia Rhone. In further support of its mission to cultivate the next generation of Black leaders in music, the BMC awarded $85,000 in scholarship grants last year to Black college students and HBCU music programs.

Maryland to consider slavery reparations after Gov. Wes Moore's veto is overridden
Maryland will create a commission to study potential reparations for slavery after lawmakers voted Tuesday to override a veto by Gov. Wes Moore — currently the nation's only Black governor — that disappointed many fellow Democrats.
Moore said in his veto letter in May that it was a difficult decision to veto the bill, which was a priority of the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland. But he wrote there has been enough study of the legacy of slavery, and it was now time to "focus on the work itself" to address it.
But Democrats who control both chambers of the Maryland General Assembly decided the commission was needed to better examine how to do that.
"This topic isn't easy, but, again, without formal study, reparations risk being dismissed as symbolic or unconstitutional, regardless of moral merit," said Sen. Charles Sydnor, a Democrat.
After his veto was overridden, Moore said that while he disagrees with the legislature's decision, "I am eager to move forward in partnership on the work of repair that we all agree is an urgent and pressing need."
"I believe the time for action is now — and we must continue moving forward with the work of repair immediately," Moore said in a statement. "That mission is especially vital given the immediate and ongoing effects of this federal administration on our constituents, including communities that have been historically left behind."
Potential reparations outlined in the bill include official statements of apology, monetary compensation, property tax rebates, social service assistance, as well as licensing and permit fee waivers and reimbursement. Reparations also could include assistance with making a down payment on a home, business incentives, childcare, debt forgiveness and tuition payment waivers for higher education.
Maryland's Black population is about 30%, the highest percentage of any state outside of the Deep South.
Support for reparations gained momentum in the wake of the murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer in 2020. However, the issue has been a difficult one, particularly for high-profile Democrats, and comes amid a broader conservative backlash over how race, history and inequality are handled in public institutions.

The legendary super producers are teaming with 100 Billion Meals cofounder Tony Robbins for “The Next Verse,” a project that features the recording of a new fundraising song produced by Jam and Lewis at the iHeart Theater in Burbank, CA. The final song and its music video will premiere globally on Dec. 25 across all streaming platforms, and it will air nationally on iHeart stations.
The recording happened Tuesday, Dec. 16, and features Dr. Dre, Janet Jackson, Sheila E., D.M.C., Aloe Blacc, Duran Duran, Pitbull, The War and Treaty, Andrea Bocelli, Sammy Hagar and Leona Lewis. The project is billed as “the first time ever, both live and remotely via Zoom, that celebrities and the public around the world can join in a creative effort of this magnitude.”

According to testimony presented during a December 12 complaint authorization hearing, police allege that Sherrone Moore had a “long history of domestic v*olence” connected to a secret two-year relationship with a University of Michigan staff member.
A detective told the court that the claim came from the alleged victim’s attorney and described a pattern of escalating behavior.
Pittsfield Township Police Det. Jessica Welker testified that attorney Heidi Sharp contacted emergency dispatch on December 10, reporting that Moore was inside her client’s apartment, attacking her, and had been st*lking her for months. Police said the situation intensified after the staffer cut off communication with Moore on December 8. Two days later, he allegedly arrived uninvited, entered without permission, and refused to leave.
Welker further testified that Moore appeared emotionally distraught and allegedly grabbed knives from the kitchen, accusing the woman of “ruining” his life before turning the knives on himself and threatening self-harm. The staffer told officers she was “terrified,” according to testimony. Moore later denied a$$aulting her or threatening her with weapons.
The allegations surfaced days after Moore was fired by the University of Michigan. The school confirmed an expanded external investigation by Jenner & Block is underway. Moore now faces one felony count of third-degree home invasion and two misdemeanor charges. He was released under strict conditions, including a GPS tether and no contact with the alleged victim. His next hearing is scheduled for January 22, 2026.

The financing structure combines $41 billion in fresh equity capital supported by the Ellison family and RedBird Capital, along with $54 billion in debt commitments from major financial institutions including Bank of America, Citi and Apollo.
The competitive landscape shifted recently when Jared Kushner’s Affinity Partners, previously counted among Paramount’s financing partners, withdrew from the bidding contest according to recent reports. Neither Paramount nor Affinity Partners provided immediate responses when asked to comment on the development.

Christina Aguilera’s ‘Magical’ Holiday Special Is Coming To Tv Screens
The festive film set in Paris previously premiered in theaters. Christina Aguilera lit up the Eiffel Tower while filming her holiday special, and now, she’s ready to light up your TV screens this Christmas.
As revealed Tuesday (Dec. 16), the vocalist will unveil Christina Aguilera: Christmas in Paris on Dec. 22 following a theatrical premiere earlier in the month, with the hour-long program premiering at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network and Paramount+. It celebrates the 25th anniversary of Aguilera’s My Kind of Christmas album, which reached No. 28 on the Billboard 200 in 2000.
A description reads that the special features “magical live performances from the City of Love” — filmed with a live orchestra above the Musée du Quai Branly with Paris’ most famous tower sparkling behind the singer — as well as a “look into Aguilera’s remarkable career.” There will also be “exquisite costume changes” and cameos from special guests Sheila E. and Yseult, with Xtina set to share her “thoughts on love, motherhood, reinvention and her career’s artistry.” The news comes just a couple of days after Christmas in Paris premiered in theaters on Dec. 14. There will also be screenings on Dec. 21, before the film arrives on CBS and Paramount+.
In addition to the special, Aguilera recently dropped a corresponding live album featuring recordings of her performances in Paris. The set includes her takes on classics such as “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “The Christmas Song,” as well as renditions of her own hits “Genie in a Bottle” and “Lady Marmalade.”

Love Island USA season seven winner Amaya Espinal was hospitalized this weekend.
According to TMZ, the reality television star was rushed to an area Los Angeles hospital after experiencing abdominal pain. While the 26-year-old is now recovering, the cause of her illness has not been confirmed.
Espinal has reportedly been filming the new season of Love Island spinoff Beyond the Villa, but was not on set at the time of her medical emergency. During the most recent season of the dating competition, Espinal won alongside Bryan Arenales, but the two are no longer an item.
"My Papayas—Bryan and I are no longer together," Espinal wrote in a statement on her Instagram Story in August, per NBC. "After leaving the villa, it became very clear that we were on two different journeys. Our visions didn't align and relationships are supposed to be a team sport. You don't have to drink the whole sea to know it's salty."
"All love here and I truly wish him the best," she concluded.
Since the latest Love Island season wrapped, Espinal has been active on social media and in press rounds. Her TikTok account last posted on Tuesday (December 16), although it appears to be pre-recorded.

While discussing his early career and creative influences, the Washington, D.C. rapper addressed speculation about whether he and Solange were romantically involved. According to Wale, their relationship was rooted more in friendship, mutual respect, and artistic support than anything else.
"No, we was real good friends," Wale said. He went on to praise Solange's taste and instincts, calling her one of the first major celebrity figures to genuinely support his music at a time when he was still largely underground. Corey Feldman Alleges That Corey Haim ‘Molested’ Him While Making ‘The Lost Boys’
In Marcie Hume’s new documentary “Corey Feldman vs. The World,” the child star alleges that Corey Haim molested him while making the 1987 film “The Lost Boys.”
Feldman and Haim skyrocketed to fame in the 1980s after working together on the blockbuster movie and quickly became young Hollywood heartthrobs. They collaborated on popular comedies, including “License to Drive” and “Dream a Little Dream,” and basked in being Hollywood royalty in their early teens. Haim died in 2010. He was 38 years old.

“When we did ‘Lost Boys,’ Corey said to me, ‘Hey man, let’s mess around,'” Feldman says in the doc. “And I said, ‘What do you mean?'”
According to Feldman, Haim said, “‘This is what, you know, what guys in the business do, right? You know, you suck each other’s dicks, or you fuck around, you do this stuff.’ And I said, ‘What are you talking about?’ And he said, ‘Well, Charlie [Sheen] told me it was OK.'” (Sheen has denied and contested Feldman’s claims, saying, “These sick, twisted and outlandish allegations never occurred. Period.”)
Feldman goes on to tell Hume that, although he knew what Haim wanted from the meeting, he “set it up.”
“I called [Haim] and said, ‘Come over.’ But you know, when you have got somebody that’s trying to come onto you sexually, and you don’t want that, and you are a kid, and you are scared, you do whatever you can to stop it from happening. And that’s what was happening. I was being molested by Corey Haim. Truth be told,” Feldman tells Hume.
The actor had previously revealed that he and Haim were victims of sexual abuse in their youth. In 2017, while the doc was being filmed, Feldman launched a so-called “Truth Campaign” to finance a documentary about his life and uncover the truth surrounding sexual abuse in Hollywood. The goal was to raise $10 million. The result of those efforts was the 2020 documentary “My Truth: The Rape of Two Coreys.” The film emphasized that Feldman and Haim were victims, and centered on alleged sexual assaults experienced by them in the 1980s. There was no mention of Haim abusing Feldman.
Hume doesn’t press Feldman about his accusations against Haim. At the time of the interview, the #MeToo movement was at its height, and Feldman was being asked to name Hollywood predators.
“It was an incredibly emotional moment where Corey was almost reliving what that was like to live in this hypersexualized environment as child actors in Hollywood,” Hume says.
Hume says that “Corey Feldman vs. The World” started out as a comeback story of sorts. Close to a decade in the making, the actor-turned-singer invited Hume to film him and his all-female band, “Corey’s Angels,” during their 2017 nationwide tour.
“Corey wanted to tell his truth,” says Hume.
That truth is hard to watch, which might be why Feldman refuses to promote the film.
In the doc, Feldman says that he formed Corey’s Angels to support female artists in realizing their dreams. But what those dreams might be is unclear. Some Angels are actual musicians hoping to further their music careers, while others are clearly just seeking fame via Feldman’s fading stardom. Feldman is filmed dressing his bandmates in barely-there lingerie for a photo shoot and hitting on a female fan, who looks intoxicated. Hume’s cameras captured a hyper-sexualized environment that Feldman created.
Eventually, ex-Angels tell Hume about what she didn’t catch on camera: Feldman restricting what they ate, wore, and when they could shower, as well as not paying them.
“I couldn’t capture everything,” she says. “I definitely did capture a moment in time, but I don’t feel like I got the entire, complete picture.”
One Angel who lived with Feldman and his then-wife/Angel Courtney Anne Mitchell Feldman tells Hume that the band was a “straight-up sex cult.”
“Corey has many, many layers that contradict one another,” Hume says. “Part of what emerged with this film is opening up as many questions as possible and opening up the view of Corey. Even though I knew that I couldn’t answer many questions about him, I could only open the aperture.”
Representatives for Sheen and Feldman did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment.
