#MAGFAB: Jason Bateman Covers ESQUIRE’s Winter Issue

JASON BATEMAN is the cover star of ESQUIRE’s Winter “Meaning of Life” issue, an annual event that features wisdom and advice from a variety of interesting people—because don’t we all need some of that right now? At 56, the former child star has achieved success as an actor, director, and podcaster. He makes it look easy—even when it’s not. So what’s the secret? He explains it all, in his own words, in “Jason Bateman: What I’ve Learned” on Esquire.com now and in the Winter issue, available by December 16 everywhere magazines are sold.
On his twenties: “My twenties were very confusing and challenging. There was therapy, there was seeking advice, there was a lot of self-doubt, and that was happening at the same time that I was doing a lot of partying. All those worries go away at night, but they come back the next day. I was getting a lot of stuff out of my system knowing that at thirty you got to get your sh*t together and try to execute the plan. I didn’t want to be fifty-six and think, God, I’ve never really been hungover.”
On his marriage: “I married a friend as opposed to a girlfriend. Since I only wanted to get married once, I thought, Find someone I’m sexually attracted to that’s also a friend. That’s the bull’s-eye.”
On the first scene of Arrested Development ever shot: “The first scene we shot on Arrested Development was a monologue that Jeffrey Tambor’s character was doing. He set a tone for the show, comedically. I was like, Oh, there’s not going to be any winking on this show. It’s going to be f*cking serious. If any of these characters knew that anyone was laughing at them, they’d be deeply offended and might get violent. So to me, that was like, Oh, great, this is the kind of comedy I’ve wanted to do.”
On being a people pleaser: “I am a people pleaser. I care about what people think about me. I read all the reviews. I am doing these projects for public consumption, so it matters to me what the public thinks about them. It matters to me what critics think about them. But what’s most important is that the weather inside is 72 and breezy. It takes a lot of work to stay happy, to stay clear, and to be proud of yourself. You can try to drink through it, but you’re sober in the morning and you got to live in those hours too.”

On his ideal SmartLess guests: “Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead were the big white whales for me. When they said yes, I couldn’t stop thinking about it until the day we recorded.”
On his sister, Justine: “My sister and I don’t see each other a ton. There isn’t the typical ‘We see each other every Thanksgiving or every Christmas and our kids want to be together.’ There isn’t that. In a great way. Our conversations are the rich conversations you would have with an adult friend, not the kind of petulant back-and-forth you might have with your adult sibling. We hang out, and we’re nice to each other because we respect one another as individuals regardless of the blood thing. I’m seeing her for lunch next week.”

#RHOA: Drew Sidora Accused of Using ‘Scare Tactics’ to Avoid Paying Debt in Since-Dismissed Lawsuit
via US Weekly: The legal battle accusing The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Drew Sidora of using “scare tactics” to avoid paying the full amount owed on an alleged debt has been dismissed, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
Court docs reveal Sidora, 40, and a woman named Claudia Gregory were set for a trial on November 20, but the case was dismissed.
Gregory and Sidora have been going back and forth in court for months.
On February 20, Gregory filed a claim against Sidora in a Georgia court. Gregory claimed she provided Sidora a loan for $23,543, which was to be repaid by January. She said Sidora only paid back $12,543 and still owed $11,500. (Drew’s lawyer JJ Poole tells Us, “Please be advised that our client, Drew Sidora, categorically denies all allegations set forth by Claudia Gregory.”)
In the suit, Gregory claimed Sidora refused to pay the outstanding balance and had been using “scare tactics” to “coerce” her into accepting less than what was owed.
Gregory attached an alleged cease and desist that Sidora’s assistant sent her on November 9, 2024. The letter read, “Your repeated calls, text messages and threats directed at Drew Sidora, her team, family members and friends are unacceptable and must cease immediately.”
The letter continued, “We are aware of breaches you have committed against [the NDA]. While we will address these violations in detail once the [loan is paid off], please understand that your conduct has irreparably damaged the relationship between you and [Sidora].”
“Due to your behavior and NDA violations, Drew Sidora can no longer trust or communicate with you,” Sidora’s assistant allegedly wrote.
Gregory’s lawsuit demanded $11,300 in damages.
In an alleged email from Gregory to the RHOA star, dated January 21, Gregory wrote, “If you wish to avoid a lawsuit and public embarrassment, the right decision is to pay me the $11,500 immediately. This amount is not even the total sum I’ve loaned and spent on you, so let’s settle this fairly and end it.”
She added, “I strongly advise you to do the right thing and repay me. I regret that it has come to this, but your actions have left me no choice. Your team’s advice is clearly misguided, and any reasonable person would tell you that this matter can be resolved by simply paying the amount you owe.”
Alleged text messages were submitted into evidence, which show Gregory asking Sidora for an update on the funds. In one alleged text, dated April 18, Gregory asked the RHOA star, “Good morning any update on how we resolve the reminder on the loan?”
Sidora allegedly responded, “Good evening. We will discuss Monday.” Gregory texted Sidora that Monday at 10 p.m., asking her, “What happened?” to which Sidora replied, “I’m filming, but will hit you tomorrow.“
Later in the alleged text exchange, Gregory asked for another update. Sidora wrote, “I wrapped at 3am and back heading to set. I wrap on this movie on Friday and will have my life back. It’s been long hours.”
Sidora’s alleged message continued, “I’m working on things to take care of you for sure.” Gregory replied, “I hope that means payment because you have no idea what I am and have been going through.”
On September 25, Sidora filed court documents denying all allegations of wrongdoing in the case. The Bravo star asked for Gregory’s suit to be dismissed and for Gregory to be ordered to pay Sidora’s legal bills.
As Us previously reported, Sidora is also still dealing with her divorce from ex, Ralph Pittman.
On November 14, Sidora revealed to Us at BravoCon2025 that Pittman is still living under the same roof but in the basement.
“Man is still in the basement. Him downstairs, still there, and we’re still going through the process,” Sidora told Us. “I was actually supposed to be in my final trial today, so this has been a very difficult, challenging day, but the judge allowed me to be here because it was so important for me to show up and be here. So I’m grateful.”

#NewMusic from Leon Thomas Featuring Disclosure ‘Deeper’

Electronic music duo Disclosure has enlisted alt-R&B star Leon Thomas for their new song “Deeper.”
Produced by Disclosure’s Guy Lawrence, “Deeper” moves to a propulsive beat that carries the urgency of Thomas’ yearning to be “lost in the void” with someone special. “No, it ain’t all of the noise / Leading me to your love / Only wanna hear your voice,” he sings.
Regarding their new track, Disclosure shares, “‘Deeper’ with the great Leon Thomas. Wow what a year this man has had and rightfully so. So gassed to have him on this one – we reached out after we heard ‘Mutt’ and were delighted to find out he was a mutual fan of ours. We knew his voice was gonna slot in just perfectly over this beat. Probably played him 2 others that day but it was just obvious this one was meant to be.”
They continue, “Fun fact, the beat was named ‘Aquatic’ for the longest time.. guess because of the bubbly, underwater nature of the sounds used. So we just rolled with that theme for the lyrics & wrote the whole thing in an afternoon in LA. Leon is a beast in the studio, lyrically and production wise. It was a privilege to do this one together. Need to get some underwater headphones and get in the sea for this one.”
“Deeper” follows Disclosure’s “one2three” with Chris Lake and Leven Kali, released in September. Before that, in August, they released “NO CAP” with Anderson .Paak.
“Creating something with Andy has been a long time coming!” said Disclosure. “We first met at our show at Forrest Hills in NYC back in 2015 and have been fans of his for even longer. The time finally felt right and the right song appeared. He’s one of the most talented musicians we have ever worked with and we can’t wait for you all to hear this one and perform it live together soon.”
“NO CAP” is nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Recording at the 2026 Grammy Awards. At the same ceremony, Thomas is up for six awards, including Best New Artist and Album of the Year for MUTT. He is the most-nominated R&B artist at the 68th Grammys.
“Deeper” arrives amid Thomas’ sold-out Mutts Don’t Heel World Tour, which wraps up in April 2026. Before launching the tour, Thomas dropped his PHOLKS EP.
Aside from seeing success from his breakout single “Mutt” — a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 — and his sophomore album, Thomas has been on an incredible features run in 2025. Since joining Coco Jones on her “Here We Go (Uh Oh) [Remix]” in January, Thomas has collaborated with Annie Tracy (“Catching Feelings”), Odeal (“Miami”), Sasha Keable (“Move It Along“), Venna (“Twisting”), Ty Dolla $ign (“Mixed Emotions”), YG (“Lovers or Friends”), Aminé (“New Flower!”), 4batz (“Act XI: She Ain’t No Angel”) and Wale (“Watching Us“).

#HipHopNews: Method Man Explains Passing On A Verse For Drake’s “Wu-Tang Forever” Remix
Method Man said the track didn’t reflect Wu-Tang’s sound or legacy, so he passed on the remix.
The 2013 song sampled Wu-Tang but leaned more into Drake’s romantic themes.
Although some verses were written, the remix was never released and remains a what-if moment in Hip Hop.
Method Man likes what he likes, and that’s that. The Wu-Tang Clan rapper apparently was just as confused as the general public was about Drake’s 2013 song “Wu-Tang Forever” and its connection to the rap supergroup it name-dropped.
Because of the tune’s title, it would be safe to assume that it was a homage to the gritty Hip Hop crew from Staten Island. However, the Noah "40" Shebib-produced track, which appeared on Nothing Was The Same, didn’t sonically match up with the Wu. The song has a breezy atmospheric instrumental and its content leans on the 6 God’s conquests with women.
Drizzy does sing “It’s yours” on the hook, which is a passing homage to the Wu’s “It’s Yourz” (which is also sampled on the track) from their Wu-Tang Forever album. However, that’s where any similarity ends, which was perplexing to Mr. Meth when he was asked to add a verse to the song.
In the Monday (Dec. 8) episode of the “7PM in Brooklyn” podcast with hosts Carmelo Anthony and Kazeem Famuyide, the rapper-turned-actor explained what happened. “I like Drake. I think he's a dope artist,” Method Man said in the clip that can be seen below. “He puts out some great music, obviously, or else he wouldn't be as big as he is. But, when he sent the record, we were overseas. He did send the record. Some brothers were trying to write to it and s**t. I'm sitting there and I'm like, 'I don't like it.' I was like, 'What does this have to do with Wu-Tang Forever? I'm not questioning his artistic ability or anything. I'm just saying, for my taste, that was more or less like, 'I'm not getting on that.'"
By 2013, it had already been about 20 years since the Wu-Tang Clan dropped their debut album. So going out of their way to hop on the song of a then-up-and-coming rapper wasn’t necessarily a priority.
Added Meth, “No one knew it was gonna be that big … You become jaded when you've been in the business for a long time.”
A number of Wu-Tang Clan members allegedly wrote verses that were supposed to appear on a remix of Drake’s song. Unfortunately, the version has never seen the light of day. Nevertheless, even if solely out of curiosity, we’re sure there are plenty of Wu and Drake fans who wouldn’t mind giving it a listen.

Family Matters Star Darius McCrary Released from Custody amid No-Contest Plea Following October Arrest
The actor was initially taken into custody on Oct. 5 due to an out-of-state felony warrant that stemmed from a missed court appearance
Darius McCrary has been released from custody in Michigan.
The Family Matters alum, 49, entered a no-contest plea to felony charges and was released on Monday, Dec. 8, a representative for the actor confirmed to PEOPLE. Jail records from Oakland County in Michigan confirm he was released Monday shortly before 6 p.m. This follows his October "fugitive arrest" at the U.S.-Mexico border on an out-of-state felony warrant.
TMZ was the first to share the news.
The actor was arrested on Oct. 5 by the United States Border Patrol for the out-of-state felony warrant. Prosecutors later argued he was a flight risk, with a judge agreeing, per ABC10 News. The warrant was issued after he missed a court appearance for alleged unpaid child support. His public defender said he was in Tijuana to work with a charity building houses.
McCrary's lawyer, Paulette Loftin, also confirmed the news of his release to TMZ, adding that his "fight for justice and truth has been painted as an attempt to shirk his responsibilities to his child."
"The resolution reached today makes it clear that family does matter and that it always has," she said. "This resolution allows Mr. McCrary to correct the misleading narrative and put this matter behind him."
McCrary's representative, Ann Barlow, confirmed the report that he pleaded no contest to five felony charges and is set to return to court for sentencing in February 2026.

He previously appeared in court on Oct. 15, when Barlow told PEOPLE at the time that McCrary had no ties to Tijuana, accidentally crossed into Mexico due to "a mix-up" while volunteering to build homes and that he planned to continue to fight the case in Michigan.
After being held in a San Diego jail for several weeks as he waited for Michigan authorities to take him into custody after a judge denied him bail, McCrary was extradited from California on Oct. 29.
McCrary is best known for his role as Eddie Winslow on the hit '90s sitcom Family Matters, which he starred in from 1989 to 1998 alongside on-screen parents Reginald VelJohnson and Jo Marie Payton.
He was previously involved in a divorce battle with ex-wife Tammy Brawner regarding their 2017 filing, which was later finalized in 2019. Brawner, 39, was granted full legal and physical custody of the former couple’s then-3-year-old daughter, Zoey, at the time. McCrary was also ordered to attend alcohol/drug abuse and batterers’ intervention classes within 12 months.
Later in 2018, PEOPLE reported that Brawner alleged that McCrary “partially dislocated” their daughter's arm, per court documents obtained by The Blast. Brawner reportedly told doctors that the incident occurred when McCrary “grabbed her arm," while he rportedly denied the account and claimed he “grabbed one hand to lift her up and immediately grabbed the other.”

Wendy Williams’ conservatorship could end later this year, according to her lawyer

Williams was placed under court-ordered guardianship in 2022 after her bank, Wells Fargo, requested a court hearing about her well-being and believed she was "a victim of undue influence and financial exploitation."
The 61-year-old talk show host and radio legend’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, claimed Williams will be “out” of her conservatorship by the end of 2025 during an appearance on ABC’s “Nightline” on Monday (Dec. 8).
“The plan is this … there are guardianship attorneys … and we’re watching and waiting, and they’ve assured Wendy by year’s end she’ll be out of guardianship,” Tacopina said.
Williams’ lawyer also suggested that a jury trial be ordered to release Williams from the court-ordered conservatorship she was placed under in May 2022 after her bank, Wells Fargo, requested a court hearing about her well-being and believed she was “a victim of undue influence and financial exploitation.”
Williams was then diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2024 and aphasia, but in a shocking revelation, a neurologist determined that she did not have dementia, overruling a previous diagnosis made earlier this year. Frontotemporal dementia, which actor Bruce Willis was diagnosed with, affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, which are associated with personality, behavior, and language, according to the Mayo Clinic. Symptoms can include difficulty speaking, loss of inhibition, muscle weakness, tremor, or trouble walking.
The battle for Williams’ freedom has seen various chapters over the last four years, from an attempt to gain control of the conservatorship by her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, to an explosive interview on “The Breakfast Club” where she asserted she had all her mental faculties and was made to feel like she was “in prison” after eing forced to live on a memory floor in an undisclosed medical facility.
“I am definitely isolated,” Williams said at the time. “To talk to these people who live here, that is not my cup of tea.”
In October, a judge dismissed Hunter’s $250 million lawsuit, which was an attempt to gain control of the conservatorship. Hunter sought to remove Williams’ court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, but his ex-wife was never in favor of the lawsuit and told TMZ that she had “no idea” he had filed the lawsuit, nor did she want him to have any part in her life.
“Because I’m divorced forever,” she continued, adding, “He’s a money-grubber; he’s always been that way.”
“It’s good to know that he’s doing such evil things — again,” she said, before giving her thoughts on his chances of succeeding with the case, “he won’t win.”

Chris Paul 'at peace with everything' after Clippers ouster
Chris Paul said he's "at peace with everything" following his stunning removal from the LA Clippers roster earlier this month.
The Clippers cut ties with one of the greatest players in franchise history following a three-hour, late-night conversation between Paul and top basketball executive Lawrence Frank. Paul and his leadership style reportedly clashed with head coach Ty Lue and the team believed he had become disruptive.
"Stuff's been a little crazy in the past few days -- to say the least," Paul told People.com in an interview published Tuesday. "But honestly, I'm home. My daughter had tryouts yesterday. My nephew had a basketball game. My son has a game coming up on the 12th."
The Clippers and Paul, who said he is retiring after this season, are currently in a holding pattern as he's not eligible to be traded until Dec. 15 at the earliest. Paul said he's excited about whatever comes next.
"I'm actually at peace with everything," he told People.com. "More than anything, I'm excited about being around and getting a chance to play a small role in whatever anything looks like next."
Paul had rejoined the Clippers in late July on a one-year deal. He averaged a career-low 2.9 points and 3.3 assists in 16 games for the Clippers this season.

A’ja Wilson Named TIME’s Athlete of the Year for 2025

A’ja Wilson has been named TIME’s 2025 Athlete of the Year, capping a campaign in which the Las Vegas Aces forward achieved a series of milestones unmatched in professional women's basketball.
Wilson became the first player in either the WNBA or NBA to win a championship, Finals MVP, League MVP, and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season. She also claimed the scoring title and became the fastest player in the history of the North American women's elite league to reach 5,000 career points. She’s also one of just four players in either league to win four MVP trophies before the age of 30, the others being Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and LeBron James.
Wilson's year unfolded against the backdrop of a turbulent Aces season, which began inconsistently before the team produced a 16-game winning streak and ultimately swept Phoenix in the inaugural best-of-seven WNBA Finals to claim the title - the third of Wilson's career.
The double Olympic gold medallist with Team USA, who was named MVP of the women's basketball tournament at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, was also credited by TIME for her prominence off the court as she became a central figure in discussions about the league’s growth, player equity, and the upcoming collective-bargaining negotiations.

Diddy Prepares $1 Billion Lawsuit Against Netflix, Report
Diddy is moving toward a massive courtroom fight as he and his family prepare a $1 billion defamation lawsuit against Netflix in a clash that goes back to the most watched documentary on the platform right now. The rumored development arrives as attorneys for the Combs family push back at explosive claims featured in the 4-part series executive produced by 50 Cent.
The Netflix special has dominated viewing charts with more than 25 million streams and ignited a storm of allegations about the Hip-Hop mogul’s personal life. The project includes accusations that Diddy abused women, assaulted male employees, forced the Notorious B.I.G.’s family to cover funeral costs and even slapped fired out of his mother Janice Combs. Those claims traveled fast across social media as the series gained traction.
Representatives for Biggie’s estate contacted Media Take Out directly and disputed the suggestions about funeral expenses. According to the estate, the idea that Combs made the family pay for the legendary rapper’s funeral is completely false. The allegation is being described as inaccurate and unsubstantiated.
Janice Combs’ team followed with their own response after the documentary included claims that Diddy mistreated his mother. Her representatives rejected the narrative entirely and called it “deeply hurtful” and “fabricated,” adding fuel to the Combs family’s argument that Netflix allowed harmful material to flourish.
Inside Diddy’s camp, people familiar with the situation insist the project was built on unreliable interviews and misleading statements that mischaracterize his life at a critical moment.
One insider told MTO, “This documentary was made to assassinate his character. It isn’t journalism — it’s entertainment.” Their position is that the series goes beyond sensationalism and crosses into defamation as it presents what they view as fiction dressed up as fact. Interesting.
Behind the scenes, the family has hired one of the country’s most powerful firms with plans to seek at least $1 billion in damages, the source says. Sources say the number could rise if Netflix refuses to retract certain claims. If the case moves forward, it would eclipse the high profile $750 million defamation settlement reached in the fallout over the 2020 election. That comparison alone underscores how far the Combs family is willing to go.
Presently, Netflix stands behind the program while 50 Cent continues to comment online, creating a volatile mix of views, memes and more making this a complete spectacle. What began as a docuseries could become a legal showdown that could reshape celebrity defamation battles for years. Le Sigh.
I guess the fans will wait and see.

#RIP: Jo Ann Boyce, civil rights icon and grandmother of Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce, dies at 84

As a member of the “Clinton 12,” Jo Ann Allen Boyce helped integrate Clinton High School in Tennessee in 1956.
She later became a nurse and author, sharing her story in an award-winning memoir.
Her grandson, actor Cameron Boyce, often cited her as a major influence in his life and activism.
Jo Ann Boyce, a member of the barrier-breaking “Clinton 12” and grandmother of the late actor Cameron Boyce, has died. She was 84. Her daughter, Kamlyn Young, confirmed to ABC News that Jo Ann passed away on Wednesday (Dec. 4) at her Los Angeles home after living with pancreatic cancer for a decade.
At just 14, Jo Ann became one of twelve Black students who integrated Clinton High School in Clinton, Tenn., in 1956 — making it the first public high school in the South to desegregate after Brown v. Board of Education. She stood on the front lines of the fight for equal education. What began as excitement about new clothes, new friends, and a shorter commute quickly turned into a national flashpoint. Segregationists and Ku Klux Klan members flooded the small town with violent protests, prompting the National Guard to intervene and restore order. “She was thinking about, ‘What clothes was I going to wear? How would I do my hair? Who were going to be my friends?’” her daughter-in-law, Libby Boyce, told ABC News.
As the outlet reported, the first few days of school swung from calm to chaotic in a matter of hours. Monday brought only a handful of curious onlookers. By Tuesday, more people gathered. Then came Wednesday — the first day she truly felt unsafe. “On Wednesday morning, I almost cried to go back home because there were so many people, and they looked so mean,” Jo Ann recalled in a television interview at the time. “They looked like they just wanted to grab us and throw us out. They didn’t want us at all. I could just see the hate in their hearts.” Some students inside the building offered kindness or kept to themselves, but others called her names, left hostile signs on lockers, and threw things. Even then, Jo Ann kept going and was later elected vice president of her homeroom.
The Los Angeles Times reported that violence in the city grew so severe that Jo Ann’s family ultimately left Tennessee for Los Angeles in 1957. Still, she never lost her optimism, a trait her children and grandchildren say guided her for the rest of her life. She went on to become a pediatric nurse, perform in a family music group called The Debs, and co-author the award-winning book “This Promise of Change.”
Tributes poured in from the Green McAdoo Cultural Center, where life-size statues of the “Clinton 12” now stand. “We’ve lost such a caring and humble soul,” the museum wrote on its Facebook page, adding that “Jo Ann inspired everyone she met.”
Cameron Boyce called his grandmother Jo Ann Boyce one of his biggest inspirations
Jo Ann’s legacy deeply shaped her grandson Cameron, who spoke about her impact before his own death. “My Nana stuck up for what she believed in and did something amazing,” the Disney Channel star told PEOPLE. “Things are going to happen in your life, and you’re going to face adversity, but if you grow from that and learn from that, you're a better person because of it.”

Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Split Speculation Shut Down by Insider
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been the subject of split rumors lately.
The 56-year-old No Doubt frontwoman and the 49-year-old country music star have been together for several years after meeting on The Voice, and were married in 2021.
Now, amid speculation of a breakup, a source is speaking out and confirming they are still very much together.
“There is no truth to the split rumors. They’ve just been juggling demanding schedules,” the inside tells People. “When they are together, it’s just so obvious how solid they are.”
“Sometimes they spend a lot of family time together and really treasure that, and then there are periods when the focus is more on work,” the source added. “They’re both at a place in their careers where they still genuinely enjoy what they do and they don’t want to give that up. Is it easy all the time? Of course not. They have a lot on their plates and a lot to balance, but that’s just how it is when you’re a family and both parents have careers.”
The couple were also just recently seen going on a grocery run in Los Angeles this week amid the split rumors.

Kardea Brown Responds to 'Nasty Comments' About Replacing Valerie Bertinelli on 'Kids Baking Championship'

Kardea Brown is responding to some of the rude feedback she’s gotten lately.
The Delicious Miss Brown host shared a post on Facebook regarding the hate and backlash she’s received as of late because she replaced Valerie Bertinelli as a co-host on Kids Baking Championship earlier this year.
“Cousins, I need to get something off my chest……,” she started “The amount of adults leaving negative comments on my last post is alarming. I hear you……you’re tired of competition shows and you want Valerie back. But guess what?! I can’t control any of that, so leaving nasty comments on my page won’t change a single thing.”
It comments appear to have stemmed from a promo she posted last week for the new show Baking Champions: Next Gen.
She continued: “Kids genuinely love these children focused baking competitions, which is exactly why they’ve lasted for so many years. It’s not always about one person’s preference…..there are billions of people in this world, and what YOU don’t enjoy, someone else might. If it’s not for you, simply don’t watch .”
“And honestly, I think as adults some of us have forgotten the core principles we teach children: be nice, be kind, and if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all,” Kardea added. “We need to get back to the basics of manners. Social media has become a breeding ground for unnecessary meanness and unhappy people and it doesn’t have to be.”
And while she noted in the comments that it might be easy for people to say she should “ignore the trolls,” Kardea argued that while she might be able to contend with having haters, but she doesn’t like how the comments can “impact the kid bakers and families” who follow her.
“That’s not fair to them, and I won’t stay quiet about it,” the chef said.
The new series will debut on January 5, 2026.
