#FASHIONFAB: Cynthia Erivo in Dior at the 2025 GLAAD Media Awards
We have no doubt Cynthia will be ramping up the Elphaba drag in a few months, for the runup to Wicked 2, but for now, she must be enjoying the prospect of wearing relatively simple items. Dior tasked a bunch of artists and designers with interpreting their iconic Lady Dior bag and Cynthia’s sporting the one by London artist Michaela Yearwood-Dan.
It’s fabulous.
#RHOA: Porsha Williams Makes Damning Statement About Drew Sidora Getting "Fired"
As The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Porsha Williams works to expand her lifestyle brand into a "a billion dollar empire," she's hoping to shrink her roster of Go Naked Hair ambassadors by one: castmate Drew Sidora.
During a team meeting in Season 16, Episode 4, Porsha's creative director, Johnnie, who's also a music executive, revealed that Drew "reached out" to him about sitting down with her and Dennis McKinley to strategize how he could help boost her music career. "It was random because I was like, 'When did Dennis become Quincy Jones?'" Johnnie quipped.
Instead of directly commenting on Drew working with her ex-fiancé in the meeting, Porsha brought up her status with the company. "As far as Drew, there are some other things that she has not done according to her contract that Go Naked corporate will handle," she said.
Claiming in a confessional that Go Naked Hair has "a full-blown team," including attorneys, admin, and HR, Porsha explained, "I cannot just say, 'Fire her.' That would not be proper business."
Crossing her fingers, though, Porsha confessed, "Am I hoping the bitch gets fired? Yes."
Though Porsha didn't elaborate on Drew's alleged contract violations, the topic of her involvement with the brand previously arose in Episode 2.
"My problem with you is this: You are a lowdown dirty individual. And you know what I'm talking about," Porsha told Drew during a confrontation at Shamea Morton's birthday bash, before asking producers for permission to break the fourth wall.
Able to speak freely, Porsha explained that one of her issues was that Drew had contacted the RHOA production team about filming a Go Naked photoshoot that she had set up without her permission.
What's more, Porsha added, "You have been trying to go behind my back and do something very dirty by asking Dennis to film with you."
As Porsha reiterated in another Episode 4 interview, one of her "main boundaries" with Dennis is that he "doesn't need to be filming with" Drew.
"It's giving Single White Female," she said of her RHOA castmate. "Which is cute when [we're] working together and [you're] wearing my wigs, but, bitch, you can't actually be me."
So, it likely didn't help their already-strained friendship when cameras caught up with Drew and Dennis in the studio, later in the episode. After the "I Did It to Me" singer explained that Dennis was "an intricate part" of her album, serving as executive producer and placing her with award-winning producers and writers, the conversation turned to her being in "quite a lot of trouble" with Porsha lately.
"When I go hang out with my girls, it's a little stressful of an environment," Drew admitted to Dennis. "She's goin' off because I'm working with you, and you told me she was all good with it. But now she's not OK."
Though Dennis claimed he didn’t "even know what's going on," a well-timed flashback to his hot mic moment in Episode 2, during which Porsha warned him it would "be a problem" if he filmed with Drew, proved otherwise.
As he put it to Drew, though, "When we started this, [Porsha] was in Nigeria eating fufu. I didn't have to be like, 'Hey, look, this is what I got goin' on.'"
When Drew asked Dennis to "bridge the gap" with Porsha and "clear the air" now, though, he responded, "You take the lead on that."
Are Drew Sidora and Porsha Williams friends now?
It’s unlikely she'll take that step anytime soon, though.
As Drew explained in a confessional, "Me and Porsha at this point, it's like a closed door for me. I have made several attempts to try and talk to her, and you have to just let Porsha be Porsha, and we'll talk on Porsha's time. And if not, it is what it is."
Even so, Drew and Porsha avoided conflict (and any meaningful conversation, in general) at Angela Oakley’s bank dinner, later in the episode. So, in the meantime, it seems the two will at least be able to peacefully coexist — for now, anyway.
As the drama plays out on RHOA Season 16, don’t miss the special reason Porsha and Dennis recently reunited.

The album, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, spawned his No. 1 hit “Run It!” featuring Juelz Santana, plus “Yo (Excuse Me Miss),” “Say Goodbye” and “Gimme That.”
“Yo” and “Say Goodbye” were also top 10 hits on the Hot 100 chart, peaking at No. 7 and No. 10, respectively.
The then-teen sensation landed his first two Grammy nominations at the 49th ceremony for Best Contemporary R&B Album and Best New Artist.
In 2019, Chris Brown was certified 3x platinum by the RIAA for selling over three million copies in the U.S.
Brown’s upcoming tour comes on the heels of his sold-out stadium concerts in South Africa and Brazil in December 2024. Both multi-night shows sold out instantly.
Earlier that summer, Brown embarked on his 11:11 Tour with special guests Muni Long and Maeta. The highly successful tour grossed $82.3 million and sold 446,000 tickets for 36 shows, according to Billboard.
The 11:11 Tour supported Brown’s 11th studio album, 11:11, released in November 2023. In April 2024, he reissued the project with his 11:11 (Deluxe), featuring 13 additional tracks, including his latest hit, “Residuals.”
“Thank you God for covering me in your love and thank you Team Breezy being my ride or dies! Thank you to my kids! Thank you to every producer, writer, management, RCA, street team, radio, photographers, directors, and thank you to the Grammys,” he wrote on Instagram.
Circling back to the Breezy Bowl, he has musical history with his special guests Walker and Tiller. In 2019, he joined Walker on “Something Real,” along with producer London On Da Track.
Walker’s appearance on the tour will align with her upcoming third album, Finally Over It. The highly awaited album will include the lead single “Heart of a Woman.”
As for Tiller, Breezy and Pen Griffey have a few collaborations under their belt, including “Need You Right Here,” “Run Away” and “Wait On It.”
The latter is Jeremih’s song, which he released in June 2024. The former is lifted from Brown’s album Breezy, while “Run Away” appears on 11:11 Deluxe.
Tiller will be promoting his self-titled album, released in April 2024 via RCA Records. The album included his popular track “Whatever She Wants.”

#HipHopNews: Trick Trick Goes On Transphobic Tirade During Heated Argument With Gay Man

Detroit rapper Trick Trick made waves on social media after a clip from his recent interview capturing a fiery tirade against transgender people quickly went viral and spiraled into chaos.
Trick Trick delivered the rant during his recent appearance on the alternative, conservative leaning platform No B####### News Hour. In the nearly four-minute clip circulating from his interview, Trick Trick wasted no time diving into his controversial views, attacking transgender athletes and educators with unfiltered aggression. As a result, he became enthralled into an argument with one of the other guest’s on the show.
“We got men beating the s### out of women in women’s sports and this, it was perfectly g###### legal,” Trick Trick declared.
Trick Trick then turned his attention to schools, ranting, “We got transgenders or transistors or whatever the f### they are coming in schools talking to children. What the f### is you doing talking to these babies about what? What are you? What the f###?”
His frustration only grew as he questioned the state of American society.
“How the f### did we get here?” he questioned rhetorically. “At this point, America, we got a g###### problem.”
As Trick Trick clashed with another guest, the conversation quickly took a tense turn when he was pressed on his inflammatory statements.
“I don’t give a f### about all that cuz,” he erupted, “He asked you a question about something else. You ain’t got to come back.”
His impatience mounted as he struggled to keep his composure.
“He’s still f###### talking,” he said. “I’m not here to talk to him bro. I’m here to talk to you.”
The discussion grew even more chaotic, as Trick Trick became increasingly agitated, shutting down any pushback over the transphobic rhetoric he was spewing. He then took aim at his critics, dismissing their concerns about his scathing rant.
“Who the f### made you the moral authority over how any-f######-body talk dog?” he questioned. “Where the f### do you get your positioning to tell anybody how to talk? I’ll wait.”
The interview ultimately devolved into a shouting match, with Trick Trick growing increasingly frustrated and nearly walking off set multiple times.
“You don’t get to tell me how to think you don’t get to tell me how to talk,” he said. “You don’t know nothing about me. You stated that from the beginning. So at this point yeah, you started wrong.”
His closing remarks were just as erratic, referencing Ukraine in a baffling attempt to shift the focus. As far as the bigger picture, Trick Trick’s comments follow Hip-Hop artists such as Janelle Monáe and Doechii calling out Donald Trump over his policies which strip transgender individuals of their gender rights. Trick Trick notoriously appeared alongside Trump on his campaign trail last year after he made an appearance at one of his rallies last October.

Iconic Actor Richard Chamberlain, known for ‘Dr. Kildare and The Thornbirds,’ dies at 90

Richard Chamberlain, an actor who got his start playing a hunky TV doctor and went on to become a miniseries maestro, died on Saturday, according to his publicist. He was 90 years old.
Chamberlain died in Hawaii of complications following a stroke, publicist Harlan Boll said in a statement. The award-winning “Thorn Birds” star would have turned 91 on Monday.
Chamberlain, a three-time Golden Globe winner, wore many hats over the years – actor, singer, soldier, painter, author – but he first rose to prominence and cemented his heartthrob status playing a handsome young physician in the 1960s series, “Dr. Kildare.”
The series aired on NBC between 1961 and 1966. In 1963, Chamberlain won a Golden Globe for best male TV star for his performance as Dr. Kildare.
“It took right off all around the world, as a matter of fact,” Chamberlain said in a 2021 interview. “I was getting all of this attention and stuff and it was my absolute, total dream come true. I was so happy with it.”
Chamberlain also had a thriving film career. In 1970, he played Octavius Caesar in “Julius Caesar,” alongside Charlton Heston and Jason Robards, and appeared in 1973’s “The Three Musketeers” alongside Raquel Welch and Oliver Reed. In 1974, he had a role in the Oscar-winning film “The Towering Inferno.”
In the 1980s, Chamberlain also became known as the “king of the mini-series,” according to the Associated Press. And it’s clear to see how he earned the moniker.
He starred in the hit miniseries’ “Shōgun” in 1980 and “The Thorn Birds” in 1983. Each earned him a Golden Globe. In 1996, he reprised his “Thorn Birds” role of Father Ralph de Bricassart in the TV movie “The Thorn Birds: The Missing Years.”
Chamberlain also played the role of Jason Bourne in the first on-screen iteration of the “Bourne Identity” franchise, appearing in the TV miniseries in 1988. He later went on to star in several films and TV movies throughout the 1990s including “Birds of Prey” and “The Lost Daughter.”
Through the aughts, Chamberlain appeared as a guest star on many modern-day sitcoms and TV comedies, including “Will and Grace,” “The Drew Carey Show” and “Desperate Housewives.”
His final credit on his IMDb page is for the 2019 drama-mystery “Finding Julia.”
In addition to a brief career as a recording artist, Chamberlain took several memorable stage roles over the years, including a run as Henry Higgins in “My Fair Lady” and a brief stint on Broadway opposite Mary Tyler Moore in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” which closed in previews.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Chamberlain grew up in Beverly Hills with his parents and older brother Bill before earning a bachelor’s degree in arts from Pomona College, Boll’s statement noted.
After graduating, Chamberlain joined the US Army and served 16 months in Korea, where he earned the rank of sergeant.
Chamberlain is survived by his longtime partner Martin Rabbett.
“Our beloved Richard is with the angels now. He is free and soaring to those loved ones before us,” Rabbett told CNN in a statement Sunday. “How blessed were we to have known such an amazing and loving soul.”

#FINALFOUR: Duke, Auburn, Houston, and Florida battling in the Final Four in San Antonio
The field is set and, as it turns out, the first four rounds could have been an email.
For the first time since 2008, the Final Four will consist entirely of No. 1 seeds, with No. 1 overall seed Auburn becoming the last to join Florida, Duke and Houston in San Antonio after a 70-64 win over Michigan State in Atlanta.
Every team's path has been different. For Houston, it has been marked by stifling defense in the face of an exceptionally difficult region. For Florida, it has involved a pair of huge comebacks and some clutch shooting down the stretch. For Duke, it has been almost alarmingly easy, with the Blue Devils averaging a margin of victory of 23.5 points per game. And for Auburn, it has featured wins over a pair of Big Ten schools to get to the final weekend.
One side of the bracket will feature Auburn vs. Florida in an SEC showdown between the conference's regular season and tournament champions. The other side will see Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel and the vaunted Blue Devils taking on a Houston team led by coach Kelvin Sampson, who has carved out a bit of a legend in Space City ahead of his second Final Four appearance with the Cougars.
Here's the full list of teams to make the Final Four in 2025:
Who is in the Final Four?
No. 1 Florida (West)
No. 1 Duke (East)
No. 1 Houston (Midwest)
No. 1 Auburn (South)
Final Four schedule
Game 1: No. 1 Auburn vs No. 1 Florida | 6:09 p.m. on CBS
Game 2: No. 1 Houston vs No. 1 Duke | 8:49 p.m. on CBS

Le Pen may still appeal the four-year sentence, two years of it suspended, and five-year political ban, which came after she was found guilty of misusing $3 million to pay party staff.
Far-right French leader Marine Le Pen was handed a four-year prison sentence and banned from holding public office for five years by a French court Monday, in what could be the biggest setback for her political cause in a generation.
Until this week, Le Pen had looked like the likeliest winner in France's next presidential election set for 2027, but she was found guilty Monday by a court of embezzling European Union funds.
When handing down the sentence, the court said the crimes committed by Le Pen, 56, warranted an immediate ban from public office, Reuters reported. The court also handed her a fine of 100,000 euros ($108,195).
Le Pen’s lawyer said she would appeal the verdict, but she will remain ineligible while she does and could therefore be ruled out of the 2027 presidential race. She was also sentenced to four years’ imprisonment, with two to be served under house arrest and two suspended.
Speaking to French TV channel TF1, Le Pen said that a ruling barring her from seeking public office is "political" and aims to keep her out of the race for France's top job. She added that millions of people were “outraged” about the verdict and the ruling was a violation of the rule of law.
Even if she does appeal the ban on public office, only an appellate ruling could overturn it and restore her hopes of running, although time is running out for that to happen before the election as appeals in France can take several years to conclude. There is also no guarantee that an appeals court would rule more favorably.
The nine-week trial, which began in November after almost a decade of investigations, saw Le Pen and 24 other figures from her National Rally (RN) party accused of misusing more than 3 million euros ($3.3 million) of European Parliament funds to pay party staff between 2004 and 2016 in violation of E.U. regulations. All of those accused have denied the charges.
Delivering his ruling Monday, Judge Benedicte de Perthuis said Le Pen had been “at the heart” of the scheme. “It was established that all these people were actually working for the party, that their (EU) lawmaker had not given them any tasks,” he added, according to Reuters.
He said that the investigations also showed that “these were not administrative errors ... but embezzlement within the framework of a system put in place to reduce the party’s costs.”
Shortly after being convicted, Le Pen was seen abruptly leaving the Paris courtroom before her sentence was announced.
The ruling has the potential to reshape French politics, with Le Pen having spent decades turning her far-right vehicle into a mainstream and popular political force and herself into the favorite to win the country's next presidential elections, set to be fought in 2027.
After taking over the leadership from her late father, Jean-Marie Le Pen, she has transformed the RN, with its far-right nationalist roots, into the biggest single party in France’s parliament by making it more mainstream and popularizing it among younger and more blue-collar voters.
RN party president 29-year-old Jordan Bardella, who is expected to take Le Pen’s place if his mentor is forced to step down, said Monday that she had been “unjustly condemned,” adding that French democracy had been “executed,” Reuters said.
While RN won the largest number of votes in the first round of last year's parliamentary elections, it failed to win a majority and remains outside of France's governing coalition. Emmanuel Macron, the country's centrist president, has since attempted to steer his country through months of razor-thin majorities, no-confidence votes and political uncertainty.
Macron has experienced a mild recovery in the polls during that time — partly due to the ripple effect of President Donald Trump's first months back in office — but he cannot run for the presidency a third time due to term limits and any of his centrist successors risk losing to their ultraconservative rival.
A recent poll conducted by the French Institute of Public Opinion for the French broadcaster Sud Radio found that Le Pen would, with around 42% of the vote, easily win the first round of the next presidential election.
Even if she appeals the verdict, a "provisional execution" could see Le Pen, a three-time presidential contender and front-runner in the polls ahead of the 2027 vote, barred from running in the election.
Under the ban, Le Pen will not be removed from her seat in parliament until the end of her current term. She can also seek a last-minute reprieve from the French Constitutional Council, which is expected to hand a separate decision Friday on whether immediately barring elected officials from running for office is legal.
RN has accused prosecutors of seeking Le Pen’s “political death” to keep the popular far-right leader from seeking public office.
Le Pen said Saturday that she expected leniency from the judges, telling the French newspaper La Tribune Dimanche that “with provisional execution, the judges have the power of life or death over our movement ... but I don’t think they’ll go that far.”
The trial has also whipped up fierce debate within France around on the subject of how much judges should be allowed to intervene in the country's politics.
Across Europe, too, far-right leaders said the ruling showed democratic backsliding.
Hungary’s Viktor Orban posted on X saying “I am Marine!” Meanwhile, Deputy Italian Prime Minister Matteo Salvini described the ruling as a declaration of war by Brussels and called Le Pen his friend.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said in a media conference Monday that “European capitals show that they are not at all reluctant to go beyond democracy during the political process.”

Morgan Wallen Abruptly Walks Off ‘SNL’ Stage Before Show’s End, Posts Cryptic Message from Airplane

The 31-year-old country star appeared as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on March 29, alongside host Mikey Madison, who won best actress for her role in Anora at the 2025 Oscars.
After performing a pair of songs from his forthcoming album, I’m the Problem, Wallen briefly joined the SNL cast at the end of the show, as is customary on the long-running sketch comedy series. He then whispered something into Madison’s ear, gave her a hug and abruptly walked off the stage at Studio 8H.
Soon after the incident, Wallen shared a photo on his Instagram Stories from his private plane, with the caption “Get me to God’s country” written over an image of the runway.
During his March 29 appearance on SNL, Wallen performed the title track from his upcoming album and later delivered the post-heartbreak anthem “Just in Case.” I’m the Problem is set for release on May 16.
The incident sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some criticizing Wallen’s actions on the show as rude. “Wow, Morgan Wallen just walking off the stage during the @nbcsnl credits? In decades of watching SNL, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that. For so many of us, that is sacred ground. What an a——,” one user posted on X. Another remarked that the artist’s behavior “couldn’t be more lame & undercutting coming from a country star.”
Other observers expressed support for the “Last Night” hitmaker. One X user commented that there’s “something SO pleasing about seeing Morgan Wallen storm off stage during goodnights. Don’t let the door hit ya!!!!!!!!!!” Another person added, “If you go back and watch the clips of Mikey with Morgan and Chloe from midweek (the hi I’m Mikey Madison and I’m hosting SNL this week with Morgan Wallen clips) you’ll see he didn’t want to shoot those either, and probably only did SNL cause his manager and agent made him.”
The singer-songwriter previously appeared on SNL in December 2020, performing “7 Summers” and “Still Goin Down” from Dangerous: The Double Album, which spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Wallen was originally scheduled to appear two months prior but was replaced at the last minute for breaking SNL‘s strict COVID-19 safety protocols at the time. During his debut appearance, Wallen also appeared in a sketch poking fun at the controversy surrounding him when he was photographed partying and not wearing a mask in Alabama.
This week’s SNL episode follows Lady Gaga’s appearance on March 8, where she performed double duty as both host and musical guest. Past season 50 musical guests have included Tate McRae, GloRilla, Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Shaboozey, Chappell Roan and Billie Eilish, among others.
In the upcoming weeks, Lizzo, Elton John, and Brandi Carlile are set to perform on episodes hosted by Jon Hamm and Jack Black.

Ye Addresses JAY-Z, Pusha T, John Legend And Others While Wearing Black KKK Garb
Ye (f.k.a. Kanye West) has, once again, set the net ablaze with a jaw-dropping interview that left no name unsaid. While appearing in a new interview with Akademiks this week, Ye used the highly anticipated conversation as an opportunity to re-air grievances and share new claims about his Hip-Hop peers — all while dressed controversially.
The unedited version kicks off with Ye wearing a Sean John shirt as a symbol of solidarity with Diddy, before swapping into an even more shocking outfit: a black Ku Klux Klan-inspired ensemble. From there, Ye spent an hour taking shots at an extensive list of his past collaborators, and those he once had a personal connection with.
In his usual unpredictable fashion, Ye didn’t hold back when it came to JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T, Playboi Carti, and even his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. No holds barred, Ye directly addressed Hov, calling out his lack of support. “JAY-Z, Beyoncé, you ain’t help me when I was having problems with my kids… You ain’t show up to my first wedding. You ain’t my family,” he said. His grievances extended to Lamar as well, accusing the Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper of lifting elements from The Life of Pablo for Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. “It’s like, ‘Oh, these are the drums from this song. This is the approach to this song’,” he claimed.
Ye’s stance on his ex-wife Kim Kardashian further fueled the fire, with his frustration over custody and control of their children. He claimed, “This white woman and this white family have control of these highly influential Black kids that are half the children of Ye.” His discontent extended to Playboi Carti as well, whom he accused of reaching out to Kim in a way he deemed inappropriate. “Carti, you can leave me off the album and do that fa**ot-a** Trav sh*t if you want, but now you mentioned my daughter.”
Even longtime collaborator Pusha T wasn’t spared, as Ye blasted his silence on personal matters, stating, “If you ain’t gonna speak on my behalf with the situation I’m in right now with my children, don’t talk about my political views.”
Frank Ocean, Travis $cott, and J. Cole were also caught in the crossfire, as Ye dismissed their artistry while reinforcing his own superiority to them. Of Ocean, he remarked, “When I made ‘Moon,’ it basically ended Frank Ocean’s [career]. He ain’t have a song since then!” Meanwhile, he accused $cott of replacing his vocals on “four [Utopia] songs [recorded] from the ranch in Wyoming, [swapping] his choruses, and exact vocals for Future and SZA’s.”
Beyond music, Ye spoke on deeper controversy, voicing support for Diddy despite the serious allegations against him. He drew comparisons between his struggles with corporate America and Diddy’s legal battles, arguing that the music industry is weaponizing accusations to destroy Black artists. “I related to Puff,” he insisted, while downplaying abuse allegations, adding, “I don’t know somebody that hasn’t gotten into an altercation with their girl at one point.”
West’s unfiltered tirade didn’t stop there — Jim Jones, Ty Dolla $ign, and John Legend were also targets of his rant. He ridiculed Legend, dismissing him as ungrateful despite the success he claimed to have helped him achieve. “Look at John Legend’s old sissy a**… I changed generations of his life. And he got on that fa**ot-a** hot sweater — this ni**a wears sweaters in muthaf**king August in Barbados.” Jim Jones, meanwhile, was accused of withholding financial details and scoffing from Ye. “You gonna lie to me about a PDF, you fa**ot-a** ni**a?! After I sat and took the meeting for you and I didn’t even ask your broke-a** for a percentage?” he said.
As for Ty Dolla $ign, Ye was outraged over what he saw as industry coercion, claiming executives pressured Ty to publicly distance himself from him or risk losing his career. “Ty put up the tweet before we landed, he said, ‘I gotta say something.’ I said, ‘Say I’m not racist but Ye is.’ We agreed upon that. When we landed, he put up, ‘I don’t condone hate speech.’” And in perhaps the most self-aware moment of the interview, when asked about his decision to tweet “f**k Virgil” after the passing of fashion designer Virgil Abloh, Ye admitted: “I’m evil. I am evil person.”
However, the 808’s & Heartbreaks rapper had positive words for his longtime frenemy Drake, throwing his support behind the Toronto superstar in his ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar. “Drake is a million times better than Kendrick and a million times more important,” Ye proclaimed.

Do You Know About the Planned April 1st Wendy Williams Protests in LA and NYC?
*If you haven’t heard, discussions about protests in support of Wendy Williams are gaining traction, with demonstrations scheduled for April 1, 2025, in both Los Angeles and New York.
These planned events have emerged from post discussions circulating on X (formerly Twitter), claiming supporters are mobilizing to advocate for the former talk show host amid her ongoing guardianship battle and health struggles. As the date approaches, the unfolding narrative raises questions about the motivations behind these protests and the broader implications for guardianship reform.
The Guardianship Battle: A Timeline of Controversy
Williams, now 60, has been under court-ordered guardianship since 2022. This legal arrangement arose following serious concerns regarding her welfare and financial management, primarily presented by Wells Fargo Bank, which cited “unusual and disturbing events.”
In early 2023, her care team disclosed that Williams had been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. Despite these diagnoses, Wendy has been vocal in her recent complaints, emphasizing her cognitive capabilities in calls to shows like “The View” and “Good Day New York.”
Her determination to assert her independence is evident. During her appearances, Wendy described her living situation in a New York care facility as akin to a “prison,” where she faced restricted access to family and was unable to manage her financial assets, estimated to be around $12 million. The strings of this guardianship have been pulled by her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, an elder law attorney, whom Wendy has criticized, alleging mismanagement and expressing the desire for her removal.
The Grassroots Response: An Echo of the #FreeBritney Movement
The recent posts on X regarding the protest suggest a grassroots response reminiscent of the #FreeBritney movement, which successfully raised awareness and sparked conversations about conservatorship reform. Supporters are rallying to “free Wendy,” reflecting a broader concern about the dangers of guardianship systems that many argue can become oppressive and abusive rather than supportive. Some posts indicate that the upcoming demonstrations aren’t solely for Wendy’s case, but also aim to protest against what’s perceived as a “corrupt and crooked guardianship system.” This sentiment showcases a dual focus—support for Wendy and a broader critique of institutional failures in guardianship and conservatorship.
As the planned protest approaches, there are unclear details regarding the organizers, raising questions about the authenticity and scale of the movement. April 1, also known as April Fool’s Day, introduces a layer of skepticism—will the protests materialize, or are they just an elaborate prank? However, the X account of IBDCute1 firmly states “THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!! I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A DRILL.”
Legal and Familial Battles: The Stakes for Wendy Williams
Wendy Williams’ legal battle has been marked by significant family involvement. Her family, including her niece Alex Finnie and son Kevin Hunter Jr., have sought to challenge the guardianship, emphasizing Wendy’s right to a dignified life. They’ve engaged the services of the Ben Crump Law Firm, renowned for handling civil rights cases, in pursuit of Wendy’s freedom.
Recent developments in Wendy’s case suggest a significant level of legal scrutiny. In March 2025, both the NYPD and Adult Protective Services initiated separate investigations following complaints from caregivers regarding “troubling circumstances.” A judge recently permitted Wendy to have more autonomy within her facility, moving her from a memory unit to a more private, condo-like setting, though ordered additional cognitive evaluations, which remain pending. The outcome of the protest, should it happen, could potentially influence New York courts that handle guardianship cases, opening discussions to re-evaluate Wendy’s situation. Critics of the system argue that mislabeling issues like substance abuse as cognitive impairments like dementia often leads to unjust controls over individuals’ lives.
Broader Concerns: The Systemic Issues of Guardianship
The story of Wendy Williams offers a compelling backdrop to larger discussions around guardianship reform. With her case being one of the high-profile examples drawing public attention, discussions about autonomy rights and the responsibilities of guardianship are becoming increasingly relevant. Just as the #FreeBritney movement illuminated the plight of individuals under conservatorship, Wendy’s struggle could also catalyze a reconsideration of how exclusively guardianship systems have the power to dictate an individual’s life choices.
In a cultural moment where advocacy for autonomy and rights is gaining traction, the outcome of this situation could redefine the public’s understanding of guardianship systems. Should the protests gain momentum, they may prompt authorities to provide answers and accountability within an opaque system that often lacks oversight.
A Call for Awareness
As the April 1 protest looms, supporters are poised to demonstrate their solidarity with Wendy Williams and raise awareness about broader issues with guardianship reform. The legitimacy of the demonstrations will hinge not only on the outpouring of support but also on the collective willingness to address the deep-seated issues that arise from current guardianship practices.
Whether the protest provides Wendy Williams with the platform she seeks or remains a momentary splash in the media spotlight, the implications could reach far beyond her individual case. Advocates and supporters are fostering a narrative that invites society to confront a complex, often misunderstood aspect of legal guardianship. The eyes of the public will be watching closely as the date approaches, eager to see if the buzz translates into tangible action and meaningful dialogue around an important issue that affects many individuals facing similar circumstances.
In summary, the situation surrounding Wendy Williams reflects not only her own struggles but also a growing movement advocating for reform in guardianship systems. With the planned protests on April 1, 2025, supporters are not merely rallying for Wendy; they hope to ignite a broader conversation about personal rights, individual dignity, and the need for rigorous oversight in guardianship practices. As this narrative unfolds, one can only hope it helps pave the way for both Wendy’s liberation and systemic change.

Dr. Charles J. Sophy filed his declaration in the case against Dre, 60, obtained by In Touch, on March 14 in Los Angeles Superior Court.
In October 2024, Dr. Sophy filed his lawsuit claiming Dre had started to harass him with menacing text messages, despite them not speaking for over a year.
In his newly filed declaration, Dr. Sophy detailed the alleged emotional distress he has experienced. He said he believed Dre had sent a bunch of fake FBI agents to his gated community in an attempt to scare him. Dre previously denied the claims.
Dr. Sophy said Dre’s actions caused him to take “extreme measures out of fear for” his own safety.
He said, “As a result of this incident, [Dre’s] unlawful conduct, and the numerous harassing text messages sent by [Dre], I have been forced to resort to extreme security measures out of fear for his life.”
Dr. Sophy continued, “Such drastic measures include but are not limited to installing robust security cameras at my residence, hiring private security to protect my home and physical safety at all times, and even wearing a bulletproof cap and vest upon leaving my house, for fear of being shot by [Dre] or his associates. I am afraid to leave my home, and I am constantly looking over my shoulder.”
Dr. Sophy added, “Additionally, the threatening and harassing text messages [Dre] sent to me over a period of seven months have caused and continue to cause me to suffer severe emotional distress, panic, debilitating fear, extreme worry, pain and suffering, and mental anguish, given [Dre’] past violence and abuse.”
Dre has denied all allegations of wrongdoing. The case is ongoing.
Mo’Nique Says ‘Madea’ Is A Better Human Than Tyler Perry
Mo’Nique is not done letting Tyler Perry have it. During a conversation with fellow comedian Rodney “Red” Grant, Mo’Nique shared why she and her husband Sidney Hicks believe that Perry’s character Madea is a “far better human being” than he is.
“Madea is a far better human being because of the principles and values that she stands on, once he goes back to Tyler Perry, he drops it off,” Mo’Nique noted.
She then went on to explain why she called Perry a “hypocrite” for his speech at Angie Stone’s funeral where he claimed the music industry owed the singer money.
“Angie Stone was a warrior. Angie Stone was a fighter, baby and to watch that man up there be hypocritical over top of my sister? No sir,” the comedian said.” You cannot do that because if it was the other way around, I know my sister would’ve done the same damn thing. It’s like what you will not do is be a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I won’t allow that, Tyler Perry.”
Mo’Nique also said that Perry shows kindness to bring attention to himself.
“He does [do ‘such nice things for people’], but he gon’ make sure you damn well know about it,” Mo’Nique said. “When you do things from [your heart], that [should be] between you and the universe.”
She also said that Perry helped to blackball her career for 12 years.
I’m not tryna dress it up. I’m too damn grown to be scared to say it out loud, but when that brother says ‘Oh she’s difficult to work with,’ people ran with that. It affected my career for 12 years […] What I will say is that people that have worked with me, nobody has ever said ‘Oh my God, she’s difficult to work with.’ And Tyler Perry a** ain’t never worked with me! So figure that out.”

Randy Fenoli Says Martha Stewart Once Slapped Him While Filming 'Say Yes to the Dress'

Randy Fenoli of Say Yes to the Dress says Martha Stewart once slapped him on the show.
The 61-year-old fashion designer revealed that he and Martha had a playful exchange when she visited Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City in 2016 for the season 14 premiere of Say Yes to the Dress on TLC.
“Martha and I are friends, okay? She knows me, I know her, I’ve been on her show many times. I’ve known her for many years,” he said to People in a recent interview, explaining that he was there to help an employee of Martha‘s publicist before her wedding day.
“So, we worked an appointment with the bride, and the bride said, ‘You know, I don’t like these bones of mine.’ And I said, ‘Well, I think that’s one of the most beautiful parts of a woman,’ and Martha‘s like, ‘Don’t touch her there,’” he added, saying that Martha then jokingly smacked him.
“And I said, ‘Martha, I think she knows she’s safe with me,” Randy said.
However, Randy said that the cameraman missed the interaction, leaving him “very disappointed” that the fun moment did not make it onto air.
Meanwhile, when it comes to Martha‘s recent endeavors, the premiere date of her new cooking show has been revealed.

#BoxOfficeNews A Working Man Is #1 at the weekend box office
Well, it’s only been one week, but Snow White is already taking a snooze at the box office. The controversy-laden Disney remake didn’t exactly have a great opening weekend either, but it still managed to claw its way to the top of the list, even with a disappointing $43 million pot. This weekend, it dropped a massive 66% to $14.2 million, giving room for the mirror to choose a new fairest film in the land: Jason Statham’s Royal-Marine-turned-construction-worker thriller, A Working Man. The action movie checked in for its first performance review with $15 million, just enough to dethrone Rachel Zegler’s princess.
This was really a weekend of upsets, as Blumhouse’s The Woman In The Yard (it’s about exactly what it sounds like) took slot number four, dealing a fatal blow to A24’s Death Of A Unicorn, which landed in fifth position. The Woman In The Yard did have Danielle Deadwyler and a great marketing campaign to its name—the contrast of the film’s overly obvious title paired with the mystery of its actual plot seems to have worked—but Death Of A Unicorn also had a stacked cast including Jenna Ortega, Will Poulter, and Paul Rudd, the A24 banner behind it, and a wacky, original plot to boot. The trades, at least, thought it would come out on top, but the film’s horn proved to be pretty blunt in its opening weekend. The Woman In The Yard managed to scare up $9 million, while Death Of A Unicorn cantered in at a mere $6 million.
Check out the rest of this week’s top 10, courtesy of Box Office Mojo, below:
A Working Man, $15,215,874
Snow White, $14,200,000
The Chosen: Last Supper, $11,492,369
The Woman in the Yard, $9,450,000
Death of a Unicorn, $5,787,425
Princess Mononoke (4K restoration), $4,004,482
Captain America: Brave New World, $2,800,000
Black Bag, $2,150,000
Mickey 17, $1,920,000
Novocaine, $1,450,079

Kim Delaney, the 63-year-old actress renowned for her portrayal of Detective Diane Russell on the hit series "NYPD Blue", was arrested on Saturday, March 29, at her Los Angeles home on suspicion of felony assault.
Delaney's partner, James Morgan, was also taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence following what TMZ reported as a "heated argument that turned physical."
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department revealed that Delaney was arrested for "assault with a deadly weapon" at 10:15 a.m. while Morgan was taken into custody about half an hour earlier.
Paramedics were called to the scene to assess any potential injuries, and after being medically cleared, authorities proceeded with the arrests.
Delaney remains in custody while Morgan has been released on a $20,000 bail. Both are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, April 1.
Kim Delaney's acting career spans several iconic television series, including "Army Wives", "The O.C.", "All My Children", and "Chicago Fire". She won an Emmy in 1997 for NYPD Blue and received two additional nominations in 1998 and 1999 for the role that made her a household name.
This recent investigation is not Delaney's first run-in with the law. In 2002, she was arrested for drunk driving and subsequently went to a rehabilitation facility the next year. In 2005, another DUI incident resulted in Delaney losing custody of her teenage son.
Most recently, in 2024, she was ordered to complete community service and a safe-driving program after an alleged hit-and-run incident in late 2022.
Details of her latest run-in with the law are still scarce, but her court date will undoubtedly shed light on the incident.

O.J. Simpson's 1994 copy of "The Living Bible" gifted by his friend and attorney Robert Kardashian, has fetched $80,276 at an online auction. The sale, managed by the Goldin auction site, attracted 49 bids, with the winning bid at $65,800 plus a buyer's premium fee.
The auction took place after Robert's daughter, reality-TV star and media mogul Kim Kardashian, unsuccessfully attempted to buy the book directly from the O.J.'s estate.
The Bible was a significant token of friendship and support, given to Simpson amid his tumultuous legal battles following the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.
Robert Kardashian, a key member of Simpson's defense team, presented the Bible inscribed with a heartfelt message, "O.J., This book will help. God loves and he will speak to you with his words. Read this book every day. God has a definite plan for your life. You are his child and he will use you again. I love you and God loves you.”
Kim's offer of $15,000 was declined by Malcolm LaVergne, the executor of Simpson's estate. LaVergne explained to People magazine, "Why would I spend $15,000 in attorney's fees - to sell it to Kim for $15,000? That's a zero-sum game. If Kim had offered $150,000 for it, we would've been in court getting this approved outside of the auction."
Despite her initial bid being rejected, Kim Kardashian had the opportunity to participate in the online auction. It's unclear if she's among the online bidders.
The Kardashian family's connection to O.J. Simpson is deeply rooted. Robert Kardashian, who passed away from esophageal cancer in 2003, remained a loyal friend to Simpson during the high-profile murder trial while Kris Jenner, Robert's then-wife and mother to the Kardashian children, was also close friends with Nicole Brown Simpson, adding another layer of complexity to their intertwined lives.
O.J. Simpson, who was acquitted of the criminal charges in Nicole's murder, was later found liable in a civil trial and served nine years in prison for an unrelated armed robbery. He passed away in April 2024 at the age of 76 from prostate cancer.
