Zendaya for Essence - 50th Anniversary Issue!

Zendaya knows how to own a cover, and her latest for Essence's November/December issue celebrating the magazine's 50th anniversary is equal parts sexy, glam, and totally classic. Inspired by Donyale Luna, known to many as the world's first Black supermodel, the Euphoria star paid homage to the '60s icon and re-created her most groundbreaking photos. In one standout look, Zendaya wore an incredible barely-there long sleeve knit dress that was simply made for the actress.

"A lot of what I do, specifically within fashion, is a tribute to fashion icons who came before me — many of whom are Black women."

It's no surprise Image Architect Law Roach had a hand in the styling and creative direction for the stunning shoot, as the duo has proven time and time again that they are the ultimate fashion dream team. The Emmy Award winner shared in the corresponding cover story that she was "very excited" to "do something a little bit different" with Law, and in fact, it was "one of [her] favorite cover shoots [she's] ever done." She continued, "A lot of what I do, specifically within fashion, is a tribute to fashion icons who came before me — many of whom are Black women. I love the way it turned out. I'm very proud of it."

Zendaya also explained that it's always been a priority for the two to support young Black designers and photographers in their work. "A lot of smaller brands and designers were the ones that supported me before I was being dressed by bigger brands," she said. "There's rarely a look, or anything that we do in fashion, that doesn't have a story. Everything is done with intention."

This sentiment is reflected throughout the gorgeous black and white imagery of the shoot, which we can credit to African American photography duo Ahmad Barber and Donté Maurice. "The most challenging part for us would be doing the original photos justice. Donyale Luna was such a prolific figure and the photographers she worked with, such as Richard Avedon, hold such a powerful legacy that we wanted to make sure their essence lived through the work," they told POPSUGAR. "While it was very important to pay homage, we wanted to infuse a sense of our vision and aesthetic to keep the ideas a bit fresh and new as well."

Take a closer look at the striking images ahead, where Zendaya is seen wearing a mod metal shift dress and rocking spidery lashes reminiscent of the '60s. Then, check out Zendaya's full interview on Essence

#RHOA:Awwwwww, Kandi Burruss Celebrates Daughter Blaze's 1st Birthday!

The RHOA mom marked her daughter's milestone birthday with a precious photo.

Kandi Burruss’ daughter Blaze is officially one! The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member celebrated her youngest child’s milestone birthday in a recent Instagram post, marveling at how fast the past year flew by.

On November 22, Kandi took to social media to commemorate the special occasion, sharing a precious photo of little Blaze sitting in front of a pile of blue and silver balloons and looking downright adorable in a black party dress and a matching hair bow.

“Happy Birthday to my baby girl! You bring so much joy into our family,” she wrote in the caption. “Every day with you puts a smile on my face & in my heart.”

The mom of three went on to add, “You’re growing up too fast! Where did a year go?! Everybody give @blazetucker some birthday love.”

Kandi’s husband Todd Tucker also took to Instagram to mark his daughter’s big day, sharing a sweet clip of little Blaze drumming on a table.

“Happy birthday to the last Queen of the clan!” he captioned the video. “Your name fits you so well, [you’re] going to Blaze trails and change the world. I love you so much!”

Happy birthday, Blaze!

#MusicNews: PJ Morton Brings Us The ‘Deluxe Edition’ Of ‘Christmas with PJ Morton’ For The Holidays!

PJ has done it again just in time for the holidays with a Deluxe Edition release of his 2018 project Christmas With PJ Morton. The festive set features all 8 songs from the original collection, including gospel song "Do You Believe" with Yolanda Adams, he and Stokley Williams' update of Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and a NOLA bounce rendition of Donny Hathaway's "This Christmas" featuring HaSizzle. Two new songs are added to the tracklist this time around.

Gifted singer-songwriter/pianist Sheléa joins PJ for a groovy spin on the heartwarming classic "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." Unsurprisingly, their voices complement each other like hot chocolate on a snowy day. Speaking of snow, Morton adds another dose of nostalgia and wishes for icy weather with "White Christmas." Brightened with joyous horns and soulful harmonies, the perennial standard is the perfect way to close out the album.

#HipHopNews: Lil Baby Teases December 3 Release Date!

If Lil Baby didn’t want to do another verse in 2020 he would be justified in doing so. With the massive success of his My Turn album and the insane run of features, Baby has firmly cemented himself on top of HIp-Hop.

But the man is a machine and is ready to remind you all why he was the most successful artist of the first quarter of the year.

Previously, Lil Baby let fans know that he was getting ready for an album and was cutting off his line for features. Could it be time for some of that work to be heard?

Hitting the timeline, Lil Baby didn’t say anything beyond a date, December 3. No reports available yet if this is a single, EP, album or what. But when Lil Baby drops we will listen.

#RIP: David Dinkins, New York City's 1st Black Mayor, Dies At 93!

David Dinkins delivers his first speech as mayor of New York in 1990. Dinkins, New York City's first Black mayor, died Monday at 93!

David Dinkins, New York City's only African American mayor, died Monday night at 93.

Dinkins led New York in the early 1990s as its mayor, a position he called "the greatest job there is."

Dinkins' office operations manager, Lynda Hamilton, confirmed his death early Tuesday.

Dinkins broke barriers with his 1989 election, managing to defeat three-term incumbent Ed Koch during the Democratic primary that year and later to best Republican Rudy Giuliani in the general election. Giuliani would go on to defeat Dinkins for the position four years later.

Early Tuesday, Giuliani expressed his condolences on Twitter, saying of Dinkins, "He gave a great deal of his life in service to our great City. That service is respected and honored by all."

Dinkins' tenure came at a contentious time for a city that was plagued by economic woes, crime and racial tension. Many criticized his handling of those tensions in some of the city's neighborhoods and, particularly, with a slow response to the 1991 Crown Heights, Brooklyn, riots.

In an interview with NPR in 2013 following the release of his book, A Mayor's Life: Governing New York's Gorgeous Mosaic, Dinkins expressed deep love for the city.

"I think it's the greatest town in the world," he said, adding that he thought the passage of time would put a new light on his legacy.

"I'm confident that when people look back ... 20, 30 years, they might say, 'Oh, gee, you know? Those guys did a pretty good job,'" he said.

Dinkins was a graduate of Howard University and Brooklyn Law School. After his political career, he was a professor at Columbia University.

His death comes just a little more than a month after his wife, Joyce Burrows Dinkins, died at the age of 89.

Dancing With The Stars 2020 Crowns Its New Winners!

Kaitlyn Bristowe was crowned the Season 29 winner of "Dancing with the Stars."

Monday night's finale featured four celebrity and pro-dancer couples each performing one past dance ensemble and one freestyle. Bristowe, a "Bachelor" alum, competed against finalists Nev Schulman, Grammy-winning rapper Nelly, and "One Day at a Time" actress Justina Machado for the coveted mirrorball trophy.

Bristowe, 35, danced her way to the top with her professional dancing partner, Artem Chigvintsev, who is engaged to "Total Bellas" star and former WWE diva Nikki Bella. The duo received two perfect scores for their repeat of the tango to Britney Spears' "Toxic" and a dazzling performance of "Sparkling Diamonds" from Moulin Rouge.

Schulman, 36, known for hosting MTV's "Catfish," and pro Jenna Johnson came in second place.

Nelly, 46, and his professional partner Daniella Karagach came in third. They performed a samba to as well as a freestyle to Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage" and "Hypnotize" by Notorious B.I.G. while Machado, 48, and Sasha Farber came in fourth after performing the cha-cha set to "Respect" by Aretha Franklin and a freestyle featuring Jennifer Lopez's "Let's Get Loud" and The Gypsy Kings' "Bamboleo."

It was the first time Chigvintsev has won the competition. He explained it was an "emotional" win for him, as he returned to the ABC competition show this year after not being asked to return in 2019 for Season 28.

"I was thinking about where I was a year ago, exactly. Where I was not a part of last season, how I felt that [my] old dancing dreams were done and dusted, and that I was never going to be able to perform on that stage at all," Artem said via Entertainment Tonight. "And then just standing with Kaitlyn in the final and being called as the champion of the season? I mean, it was such a surreal moment that I never thought it would be, in the reality of this world."

Bristowe, similarly, said it had long been a "dream" of hers to join the show.

"So for me, it makes it all so much better that I had this dream. That it was taken away, that I still believed in it, that I worked hard for it, that I stayed true to myself through it," she continued. "Same thing with Artem. You just never know when it's going to happen and the fact that everything just aligned for us and that we're here with the mirrorball, like, what?"

After the duo performed, Chigvintsev took to his Instagram Story with Bristowe to reflect on the final night.

"I'm just so on a high right now," Bristowe said, reminding voters at home that they "need all the help they can get."

Chigvintsev also teased how he and fiancee Nikki Bella celebrated his win at home. Early Tuesday morning, he posted a photo to Instagram of his kitchen table featuring red roses, champagne and sushi, along with his trophy.

LisaRaye Alleges That Halle Berry Isn’t Nice In The Bed Room—“That’s What I Heard”!

Hey, when you’re a celebrity, unfortunately your personal life is put underneath a microscope for everyone to comment on—and the latest round involves LisaRaye and Halle Berry. During a recent episode of “Cocktails With Queens,” LisaRaye alleged that she heard widespread rumors that Halle Berry isn’t great in the bedroom.

The ladies of “Cocktails With Queens”(Claudia Jordan, Vivica A. Fox, Syleena Johnson and LisaRaye) have proved time and again that they will spill tea on anyone, including an Oscar winner. While on a recent episode of the show, LisaRaye hurled out a shocking accusation about Halle Berry’s status in the bedroom…or lack thereof. The women were discussing celebrity relationships and how some women can’t keep their men, while mentioning both Toni Braxton and Halle Berry.

However, LisaRaye took things a step further and called out Halle’s alleged weak bedroom skills. When Claudia noted that Toni had “some fine men back in the day,” LisaRaye came back with “But she done lost some too. So we don’t know what she be doin’ in the bedroom. It could be like Halle Berry.”

Claudia then asked LisaRaye, “What you mean LisaRaye about Halle Berry? She not supposed to be good in the bedroom?”

LisaRaye then elaborated and said, “That’s what they said… That’s what I read… And that’s what I heard…That’s what they say.”

As we previously reported, earlier this year Halle Berry confirmed that she is currently dating R&B/soul singer Van Hunt and the two made their relationship public for the first time on social media

Tamar Braxton Is Being Sued by Her Agents!

Tamar Braxton sued by her agents for refusing to pay their commissions...

From The Blast

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Tamar was sued in L.A. County Court for allegedly stiffing her agents on massive commissions they claim to be owed on several projects including a giant 75,000 per episode fee she gets for her new reality show.

According to the lawsuit, the company claims in 2016 they entered into an "oral contract" with Tamar Braxtonto represent the reality star as her talent agents and were to receive 10 percent of anything she made on television.

The suit says the company "procured employment" for Braxton to appear on a new docu-series called "Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!" which they negotiated and entered into a contract at the monster fee of $75,000 per episode. If correct, the companies take would be $7,500 in connection with any episode of the show.

The company also claims they negotiated another huge deal for the reality star to appear on "To Catch a Beautician" which she earns $30,000 per episode as the host of the program.

Again, they accuse Braxton of not paying them the $3,000 for each time she appeared on the show. As for 'Hip Hop Squares' the price was $17,350 and a few other spots they claim to have helped her snag in the TV business.

All together, Pantheon claims they are owed over six figures in commissions and only filed a lawsuit as a 'last resort.'

Bad Bunny Tests Positive For COVID-19!

Bad Bunny was forced to cancel his AMAs set after testing positive for COVID-19.

The Latinx artist’s publicist, Sujeylee Solá of Acoustyle Communication, confirmed his positive test results to multiple outlets on Monday (November 23). One report was published by The Associated Press, who learned via his representative that “Bad Bunny wasn’t showing any major symptoms as of Monday” and that the star “was not granting any interviews” at this time.

Word of the Reggaeton musician’s coronavirus diagnosis came after he was awarded the trophy for Favorite Male Latin Artist and Favorite Latin Album for his second studio album, YHLQMDLG, at the 2020 American Music Awards last night.

Although the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter was unable to celebrate his first-ever AMAs presentation by delivering his number-one smash hit “Dakiti” alongside Jhay Cortez during the broadcast, he did present the Favorite Female Artist in the Latin category, which was given to Becky G.

The 26-year-old’s latest shows came just a week ago when he performed live at the 2020 Latin Grammys, where he delivered "Si Veo a Tu Mamá" and “Bichiyal.” By night’s end, the superstar went home with the Best Reggaeton Performance for his bop “Yo Perreo Sola.”

Bad Bunny is one of the latest music entertainers to fall ill with the wide-spreading novel virus. Among the recent musicians to have tested positive for COVID-19 include Jeremih, Ben Platt, Lee Brice, and Joe Budden.

Ken Jennings Will Be The First Interim Host To Replace Alex Trebek on “Jeopardy!”

Next Monday, when “Jeopardy!” resumes production, record-holder Ken Jennings will be the first in a series of interim hosts to replace Alex Trebek.

Producers announced that Jennings, who won 74 games in a row and claimed the show’s “Greatest of All Time” title in a competition last year, will host episodes that air in January.

The show has yet to name a long-term host who will replace Trebek, who died of cancer on Nov. 8.

“Jeopardy!” executive producer Mike Richards said, “By bringing in familiar guest hosts for the foreseeable future, our goal is to create a sense of community and continuity for our viewers.”

The show is in its 37th year of syndication, and Trebek was its only host. It is still airing shows that Trebek filmed before his death.

Art Fleming hosted earlier editions of the game show, including the original “Jeopardy!” that debuted in 1964 on NBC and aired for a decade.

According to Richards, “Jeopardy!” will air repeat episodes for the holidays, beginning on Dec. 21 and 28.

Trebek’s final week of shows will air starting Monday, Jan. 4, and Jenning’s episodes will begin on Jan. 11.
