With roles in “Get Out”, “Knives Out”, “Selma” and more, LaKeith Stanfield is quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors.
The actor joined the Hollywood Reporter for an in-depth conversation about racism in the industry, explaining even he’s “had to take roles that sucked, or do things that were stereotypical, or do things they didn’t like in order for us to be here.”
He continued, “The kinds of stories you get in this business can be very racist. I’m not saying that I think society is super racist or anything, but there are definitely things that are ingrained into the fabric of how we tell stories in this country, especially in cinema, that have a racist history.”
But those experiences have made Stanfield a better actor, even developing his own methods.
“If that means I need to stay in character when the cameras aren’t rolling, then I will,” he explained. “If I have to read one line 1,500 times, then I do that. If I have to play a homeless man, I might need to go out there for a while.”
Next up for Stanfield is “Judas And The Black Messiah” which will reunite him with his “Get Out” co-star Daniel Kaluuya.
“This is someone who infiltrated the Black Panther Party, someone most people would think is a terrible human,” the star said of his upcoming role. “But he is a human. And he’s multifaceted. If I had made different decisions, I might be this exact same guy.”

As we wait for the return of Real Housewives of Atlanta, production sources have confirmed that one woman has said “goodbye” to the show halfway through filming.
Tanya Sam, who is not a real housewife but a “friend” of the show, is walking away from the show mid-season.
Why? Well, it all has to do with what went down at Cynthia Bailey’s bachelorette party. Well, rumors began surfacing about Tanya and Porsha Williams allegedly being with a male stripper on and off-camera. Tanya is reportedly unhappy about the “stripper sex incident” being so heavily promoted for the upcoming season.
Tanya has been fed up with the show for some time now and says this incident was the “final straw.” In season 12, she wasn’t too pleased that her relationship with her fiancé and his alleged cheating scandal developed into a major plot.
Though her goodbye is not permanent, she is done with the new season.
TMZ reports, “Tanya’s so ticked off she’s not even considering doing the reunion show when the season wraps up.”
Season 13 is set to premiere on Dec. 6.
#MusicNews: Mary J. Blige Releases Deluxe Commentary Edition of her Classic “My Life” Album!
Legendary singer Mary J. Blige is giving fans a special look at her sophomore album “My Life”. The sophomore album from the Queen of Hip Hop Soul originally released back in 1994, and now we get a special deluxe version with commentary on the songs from Blige herself.
“My Life” is one of the seminal bodies of work from Blige and is among four classic albums she released in the 90’s to make her an icon. The album featured the singles “Be Happy”, “I’m Goin Down”, “Mary Jane (All Night Long)”, “You Bring Me Joy” and “I Love You”. The album’s title track is also a true standout.
The project featured some standout production from Chucky Thompson who was the album’s primary producer along with Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs.
In addition to the original songs from the album, there are some rare remixes to enjoy as well.

Today would have been the 50th birthday of Phife Dawg, the co-founder of A Tribe Called Quest who passed away in June 2016 from diabetes complications. In a tweet posted on Friday, the official A Tribe Called Quest announced that "a new Phife album" is scheduled to be released at the beginning of 2020.
The rapper's widow Desha Head Taylor revealed the existence of an unreleased Phife Dawg solo album soon after his passing. Tentatively titled Give Thanks, the project was completed before his death and was originally scheduled to be released in 2017. Since then, we've heard the J Dilla-produced "Nutshell," released in 2016, and "Beat The System," shared in 2020.
Tyler Perry's Food Giveaway Attracts Thousands, Causes Heavy Traffic, Days Before Thanksgiving!
ATLANTA — People waited in their cars for hours on Sunday to get some help from a man who is giving back to his community time and time again. Many arrived as early as last night.
Tyler Perry Studios hosted its #TPSGiving food giveaway drive-up event where volunteers in protective equipment were handing out the non-perishable food items and gift cards to people in need.
They said they'd provide food to the first 5,000 cars that came through. And that didn't last long at all. Just before 10 a.m., they were out of food. They continued to hand out gift cards, though. The event was originally scheduled to run until Noon.
Traffic was backed up for miles in all directions around the studio in southwest Atlanta as people tried to make their way to the event. At one point, the line stretched for 5 miles south of downtown Atlanta, according to the Associated Press. Tyler Perry Studios is located at the former Fort McPherson army base.
Tyler Perry, himself, was once homeless, and openly speaks about his experiences on the road to becoming a billionaire.
In September of this year, Forbes magazine reported that Perry has earned more than $1.4 billion since 2005, with a fortune that includes homes, planes, and his mega-production studio in Georgia.
Perry has constantly supported various civil rights causes and has inspired thousands with his random acts of kindness. During the pandemic, he has given back to local residents and has offered tons of wisdom on his personal social media channels.
John Cleese Criticized For Tweets About 'Trans Folks': 'I'm Afraid I'm Not That Interested'!
John Cleese has sparked outrage on social media again while reinforcing his support of J.K. Rowling with fresh anti-trans commentary.
"I'm afraid I'm not that interested in trans folks," the Monty Python star replied to a question about his support for the Harry Potter author and her controversial stance on trans people. "I just hope they're happy and that people treat them kindly. Right now I'm more focused on threats to democracy in America, the rampant corruption in the UK, the appalling British Press, the revelations about police brutality..."
An earlier Tweet asked Cleese, "Why the f— can't you just let people be who they want to be?" To which he replied, "Deep down, I want to be a Cambodian police woman. Is that allowed, or am I being unrealistic?"
Further, the British actor made what he calls a "woke joke" the had fans wondering if it was finally time to cancel him. While others, reacted by following his lead.

Another commenter questions whether his opinion on the topic has to do with him having a "superficial understanding of."

Mulatto Slams Black Business Owner Who Accused Her Of Stealing Hair In Bizarre Twitter War!
Who would've thought that the topic of hair would be enough to bring up a heated exchange between a celebrity and a Twitter user? As weird as that may sound, read below to see what happened in a bizarre online exchange between a woman and rapper Mulatto.
Mulatto has responded to a woman on her Twitter account on November 20 after being accused of stealing her hair, finally calling her a "clout chaser." The woman, named Deborah Lianiii, Owner of Capelli Amore Hair, shared screenshots of Mulatto stating she received the hair but not tagging it. In her caption for the screenshots, Lianiii wrote, "Mulato legit stole my hair 2 years ago and I’ve just been pim watching her blow up lol now she’s blocked us what a loser had the nerve to say that was 2 years ago like money’s changed in 2 years get the f*ckk outa here silly bitch."
In one of the screenshots, Lianiii had called out the rapper for not responding, not paying for it, and not even promoting it, saying, "you took our hair didn't promote it and if it's a thing that you didn't like it then you should've returned it to do that to a black business that has spent a lot of money on hair for you is a big shame and now you've gotten bigger I doubt you'll care you could have paid for the hair if you wasn't going to promote it." In the screenshots, Mulatto replied, "Girl, that was 2 years ago.”
Lianiii then added in another tweet, "I really didn’t want to do this but how can she say girl that was 2 years ago is she mad or is she dumb or both." After Lianiii's post, Mulatto addressed the claims, saying, "2yrs later Im getting 10k a post &STILL woulda tagged/reimbursed u if u approached me different boo..my last hairstylist stole all my wigs when we parted ways &Im still resolving issues today bcus of it..waiting 2yrs for me to “blowup” sounds opportunistic its giving clout chaser." Mulatto then added more tweets. "What y’all fail to realize is I have no problem buying a whole different wig on my own and tagging that girl as if it was hers but u not gone talk to me crazy without knowing the facts first & still expect to get what u wanted.. 2YRS LATER," she said. When a fan asked her directly if she wore the hair, Mulatto responded, "NO! My last hairstylist stole all my wigs when we parted ways!! And I STILL would’ve tagged or just paid for the shit cause it’s out of BOTH of our control!! But approach is everything u gone get what u asking for every time w me! This exactly why I just PAY for all my hair now."
However, Mulatto's treatment of the incident has become a subject of debate amongst fans. We'll list the fans in agreement with Lianiii first. "I mean it did happen last year, and she did dm you before going public. You didn’t fulfill your part of the deal. What else did you want her to do," said a Twitter user. One user wrote, "Some people get a following followed by a big head they suddenly think their above everyone and the things sent to them for promo become “free gifts” there entitled to." Another user said, "I fucks with Big Latto, but she was definitely wrong for this. That’s lame af, even though it was 2 years ago, she could have step to the plate and made payment. #rightisright."
Meanwhile, Mulatto fans also had a lot to say. "Very much "clout chaser" vibes," said a fan while another wrote, "Of course she want her wigs or money whatever but why wait 2 years later then you watched her glow up so why say some now that she up that’s why it’s clout chasing vibes fasho." Lena Waithe’s Wife Alana Mayo Files For Divorce Months After Announcing Split!
Alana Mayo is divorcing wife Lena Waithe, one year after announcing they had secretly tied the knot.
Earlier this week, Mayo filed a petition for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court, per court records obtained by The Blast.
In January — two months after Waithe, 36, had confirmed the nuptials — the pair revealed they had separated.
“After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways,” read a joint statement from Waithe and Mayo’s reps to E! News. “We have nothing but support for one another and ask that you respect our privacy during this time.”
Last November, Waithe said on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that she and Mayo got married at the courthouse in San Francisco, where they wed in front of a bust of the late Harvey Milk, one of the first openly gay elected officials in the US.
“We snuck and did it, you know,” she said. “We didn’t really make any announcements or a big … you know.”
A rep for Waithe did not immediately return our request for comment.
Flex Alexander Opens Up About Past Eviction From LA Home!
Flex Alexander — who starred in hit UPN sitcoms “Girlfriends” and “One on One,” and is married to singer Shanice — recalled to Page Six how the Hollywood couple was evicted from their LA home in 2010, with their kids, when they hit hard times.
“It was a real estate crash. We bought a lot of property so the hard times came along and I continued to try to hold onto that property and pull from savings,” he said. “Real estate was a great way to attain wealth and it was something I wanted to pass down to our family and our kids. So I tried to hold on — but I should have just jumped ship early.”
He and his wife have opened up about their financial struggles on their OWN reality show “Flex & Shanice,” which ended in 2016, but Alexander says he doesn’t regret going public with their story of bankruptcy.
“I never had regrets. I am from the projects in the South Bronx and that type of stuff don’t faze me,” the 50-year-old said.
These days, their careers are back on track, and he’s also been DJ’ing on Zoom. There’ll also be a “One on One” holiday marathon in December.
Mahershala Ali Opens Up About Refusing To Do A Sex Scene In ‘Benjamin Button’!
Acadamy-award-winning actor Mahershala Ali stopped by Common’s Mind Power Mixtape podcast and opened up about the one major condition behind him accepting a role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Ali, 46, said that when he accepted the role of Tizzy Weathers in the 2008 film, it was under the condition that he would not have to perform a sex scene with co-star Taraji P. Henson.
“So my old agent called me and said, ‘Mahershala, you got the part.’ And I said, ‘There’s just one thing … There is that one sex scene where they kiss … If there’s a sex scene, I can’t do it,’ ” he said on the podcast, according to Page Six.
The actor converted to Islam while getting a master’s degree at NYU. Performing the sex scene would go against his religion. “I don’t do simulated sex,” he told his agent.
“Taraji and I begin to kiss, and we fall out of the frame … It wasn’t clear if [Fincher] was trying to have like some bumping and grinding … which I doubt he was,” Ali added. “But for me even … at that time, 15 years ago, I was still like, ‘OK, I can only go up to this point,’ just because of — just trying to hold a space of respect for my religion.”
According to PEOPLE, Ali became the first Muslim actor to win an Acadamy Award in 2017 when he took home the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in the movie Moonlight. He again won an Oscar in 2019 for Best Supporting Actor for playing Don Shirley in the film Green Book, becoming the first Black actor to win an award in the same category twice

Pregnant Hilary Duff is currently in quarantine after being exposed to COVID-19.
The former Disney star, who is expecting her third child, and second with husband Matthew Koma, informed fans that she’d come in contact with someone with the novel virus and has since been quarantining at home. Dressed in a hoodie while in bed, the actress took to her Instagram Stories with the update on Saturday (November 21).
“Exposed to covid. Quarantine day 2 Fml,” Duff shared with a selfie of her looking pretty irritated. Wearing the same outfit in another photo, the soon-to-be mommy of three can be seen reading Cazzie David’s new book of essays, No One Asked For This. “Just me and Cazzie. Cazzie and I,” she captioned the image.
Lately, the 32-year-old has been filming the upcoming seventh season of Younger in New York and was recently photographed on set with co-star Sutton Foster earlier this week.
Duff has been very serious about taking health precautions amid the pandemic. Back in July, she called out a bunch of California residents for throwing “a raging house party” on the Fourth of July, clearly neglecting coronavirus safety protocols.

15-Year-Old Arrested In Wisconsin Mall Shooting That Injured Eight People!
A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with Wisconsin Mall shooting.
On Sunday, Wauwatosa police stated that an altercation between two groups, sending eight to the hospital and injuring four “innocent bystanders.”
According to Wauwatosa Police Chief Barry Weber, the unidentified 15-year-old suspect is Hispanic, and that a firearm was recovered at the scene of his arrest. Weber states that he did not release the alleged shooter’s photo to preserve the investigation and felt that an initial investigation did not reveal an immediate danger to the public.
The chief shared that the shooter exited the mall as shoppers were running out. The process to clear the mall (all 1.2 million square feet) took six hours with seven tactical teams.
Police want the public to know that Mayfair Mall is a safe place. “This is an incident that can happen at any time and any place.” He continued to encourage people to “show support” for Mayfair.
The teen was arrested on Saturday night following the execution of a search warrant. The chief believes that the shooter was arrested during a traffic stop.
Milwaukee Jornal states that wants investigators to balance getting information out to the public while ensuring that the information that is being shared is factual and accurate, and that the release of such information does not compromise the investigation.
Two Dead In Shooting At A Nebraska Sonic Drive-In, Suspect In Custody!
Two people were shot and killed and two others wounded after a shooting at a Sonic Drive-In in Bellevue, Nebraska, on Saturday night.
According to CNN, officers initially responded to a call about a possible bomb inside a moving truck in the parking lot of the drive-in shortly before 10:30 pm ET. Once they arrived, they received more calls, but this time about a shooting.
Two of the shooting victims were transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, while the other two were pronounced dead on the scene, Bellevue police said in a statement. A suspect was also taken into custody.
Lt. Andy Jashinske said there was a moving truck on fire in the Sonic parking lot. However, no bomb was found, and police would not disclose the victims’ names, as families were still being notified, but they did reveal there is no indication there are any other suspects involved in the shooting.
