#RHOBH: Bozoma Saint John shades Garcelle Beauvais for quitting ‘RHOBH’
Bozoma Saint John is weighing in on Garcelle Beauvais‘ departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after five seasons.
The first-year housewife and her co-star Erika Jayne were on Bravo‘s Watch What Happens Live after the RHOBH Season 14 finale aired, and host Andy Cohen asked for their reactions.
Much to Cohen’s surprise, Bozoma and Erika remained mum as silence reigned on the precious airtime.
“You have no thoughts on it? Neither of you?” Cohen asked.
Bozoma then added, “Erika, say something,” who fired back and said, “You say something.”
Cohen was visibly shocked at Bozoma and Erika’s non-answer to Garcelle’s exit announcement.
Erika then looked at the camera with an inside joke saying, “Won’t he do it?”
Bozoma then mustered the courage to say something, telling Cohen, “I am disappointed that she is departing like this. I wish that she would’ve stuck around to work out another season.”
Cohen clarified that Bozoma was talking about Garcelle storming off the reunion set.
“I don’t think it’s a high note,” Bozoma added.
Erika noted that she had known Garcelle had quit since two weeks ago and knew that she was upset at the reunion.
Cohen clarified that he didn’t know Garcelle had quit RHOBH two weeks ago, adding, “When she left the reunion I wasn’t totally sure [she had quit].”
Erika said that Garcelle didn’t take the cast photo with them at the end of the reunion, which was a sign she was quitting the show. Cohen noted that Kyle Richards didn’t take a cast photo after her reunion last year and she was still on the show.
In the preview for the RHOBH Season 14 reunion, Garcelle is confronted by Dorit Kemsley over what she said about her home break-in, suggesting it was her husband, PK. Garcelle also has a heated exchange with Kyle over her her perception that Sutton Stracke wanted validation from her.
“I’m really pissed right now. So, I don’t want to answer anymore questions, honestly,” Garcelle says during a preview of the reunion and as she walks off the show’s set, she says, “Everybody can go f*** themselves, I don’t care.”

#HipHopNews: Redman Reveals He Doesn’t Hang With Method Man These Days
Redman and Method Manhave long been one of hip-hop’s most recognized and revered duos. Their musical and personal chemistry is well-documented, but — surprisingly — Redman recently revealed that he doesn’t hang out with his How High co-star anymore socially.
Red shared as much in an episode of the Julian Dorey Podcast.
“We do shows and we come back home,” the New Jersey rap legend explained. “I don’t hang out with a lot of rappers at all. This is work, this is home. We’re very inclusive with our movement. Once we’re off the road, we’re like, ‘Alright. You got family to deal with, I got shit I gotta do.’ My circle is very small. So we all have different lives. I don’t hang out with rappers. I might call.”
Redman went to list the few hip-hop stars he is more sociable with – including a couple of his fellow Jersey rap representers – while acknowledging it’s always love between him and Wu-Tang Clan.
“There’s a lot of MCs who I’m connected with. Of course, Wu is my crew or whatever, but there’s a lot of artists that we might chop it up on the phone – but no,” Redman continued. “The only artists I hang out with is my boy DoItAll from Lords of The Underground and Treach if I see him in the hood and that’s about it. And Kid Capri. Kid Capri is my big bro. I talk to him and go see him all the time. But he’s not a rapper though. He’s a DJ. One of the best.”
Redman dropped his critically acclaimed ninth solo album, Muddy Waters Too, late last year. Meanwhile, Method Man has been busy on screen, most recently appearing in the STARZ hit Power Book II: Ghost and he’s next set to star alongside Kerry Washington in the sci-fi action flick Shadow Force. And this summer, Meth is hitting the road with the Clan on the legendary group’s final tour.

T.D. Jakes Reveals He Suffered A “Massive” Heart Attack Onstage
T.D. Jakes breaks his silence on the medical emergency he suffered last year, and revealed that it was actually a massive heart attack— that he was completely unaware of until he went to the hospital.
“The reason I didn’t realize it was because I had none of the symptoms that they say,” Jakes said during an interview with TODAY shared on Wednesday (March 26). “No numbness, no sharp pain, no anything. I just kind of drifted off to sleep. I didn’t know what it was, but I almost died. “[The doctor] said five minutes later, I’d have been dead on arrival. The right side of my heart had completely stopped getting blood at all.”
The 67-year-old was preaching on Nov. 23, 2024 at his church home, The Potter’s House, in Dallas, when the incident occurred. Footage of it shows him pausing onstage and shaking as he lowered his microphone. Officials rushed to help him before the video cuts off.
While he was standing and preaching, he felt fine, but the adrenaline wore off once he sat down and succumb to the heart attack.
Jakes shared, “It exposed the fact that I was preaching with half of my heart closed through a clot. And they had to go get it.
When looking back on the video, he confessed that it’s hard to watch. “In my mind, I was in a quiet, peaceful, serene, white-enveloped, cloud-enveloped space. I was on my way out,” he reflected. “Afterwards in retrospect, it was such a privilege to stand on the other side, to get a little glimpse of what it might be like, or at least what it was like in that moment for me. I think it was absolutely amazing.”
Jakes is grateful for the prayers, the work of the surgeons who operated on him, and expressed that he has no plans to slow down.
At the time of the ordeal, he shared on X, “The event could’ve been fatal if it weren’t for God’s intervention.”

Bishop Marvin Sapp Instructs Ushers To Close Church Doors Until Congregation Ponies Up $40K

In an undated clip circulating online, the 58-year-old instructed ushers to close the doors of his church, demanding both online and in-person worshippers give $20 to reach the high-dollar total before leaving service.
“Close the doors, we all gon’ leave together. Y’all ain’t going no place but to the restaurant,” he dictated to the congregation. “There’s 1,000 of you tonight, and those that are watching…it’s 1,000 that’s watching online. This is a small seed. If I get 1,000 online to give this, if I get 1,000 in the sanctuary to give this, that’s $40,000 tonight.
“I’m challenging each of you all down here to give a $20 seed,” he continued.
“Now, everyone up here, we’ve all sowed and seeded, but I need everyone up here to sow $100 because it costs to sit up here,” shared the Bishop, speaking to members who stood or sat alongside him in the pulpit.
“So, put your $20 away,” he instructed. “That $20 wasn’t for you,” he continued, requesting that the offerings be walked to the front so that he could see the massive effort.
“Giving is worship,” he repeated.
The user who shared one of the most viral posts of the incident to X uploaded the video with the caption “Marvin Sapp is clearly HUSTLING his congregation for 40k— and using God’s name to do it.” He continued to detail, “he’s calling for the doors to be locked? that’s not faith, that’s a shakedown and a false prophet. someone had a bill to pay, and it wasn’t to the church.
“Like- i thought he was just a singer? Black churches need to STAND UP against mess like this. They be sitting down ‘mhm’ and ‘uhh huh’ing’ knowing this is BS,” they added in the replies.

Via TikTok Fans React To Ed O’Neill Revealing He Has A Black Wife And Daughter
Social media has opened the door for fans to learn many things about their favorite celebrities that they otherwise may not have known. This week, fans reacted to actor Ed O’Neill appearing in a TikTok with his daughter and learning that she was…*GASP! Black.
In the video, his youngest daughter, Claire, stands in front of the camera and mouths the opening to 2Pac‘s hit diss record “Hit ‘Em Up.” Eventually, the Modern Family star pops into the frame and joins the late West Coast rapper in saying, “That’s why I f**ked your bi**h, you fat motherf**ker.” According to Claire’s caption, the video was all his idea; while it was likely meant to just be funny, the 78-year-old actor may not have realized that he was about to break the internet.
“Wait a minute!!!!!????????” one fan wrote on X. “Al Bundy has been Married… With Children to a Black woman this whole time?!?!?” they added, referencing his breakthrough role on the FOX sitcom. Another fan quoted that tweet and wrote, “Ed O’Neil having a black wife is surprising as hell.” TikTok commenters also reacted to the fact he has a Black daughter, writing, “Him having black kids makes SO much sense.” The majority of comments raved about the fact his real-life daughter’s name is Claire since his daughter in Modern Family had the same name. Watch the TikTok below.
Claire’s mother is none other than Catherine Rusoff, who also appeared on Married..With Children. The couple has been married since 1986 and has two children together, Claire and her older sister, Sophia. Rusoff herself is also biracial.
O’Neill’s most recent acting work was playing the Donald Sterling role in Clipped, a Hulu miniseries focusing on the Los Angeles Clippers franchise. He has also appeared on Family Guy, The West Wing, Wreck-It Ralph, and more.

50 Cent Opening Sports And Entertainment Venue In Louisiana
50 Cent is looking to continue building his empire in Louisiana with a new sports and entertainment venue.
KSLA News 12 reported the news on Tuesday (March 25) and uploaded a YouTube video showing off the event, with the Shreveport City Council approving of leasing StageWorks to 50’s G-Unit Film & Television. The lease is set to run for 30 years on the once-abandoned facility, which could be extended for another 15 years if Jackson chooses to do so. With the current lease, 50’s G-Unit Films & Television company will be required to pay rent for just $200 a month. The Queens native will also be asked to cover all maintenance and operational costs.
Jackson told the council that he plans to make minor renovations to the facility so that it may be able to host MMA, boxing, basketball, and volleyball sporting events. Additionally, the structure will be home to various concerts, conventions, and even car shows.
Curtis Jackson made light of the situation before making ambitious declarations that have become synonymous with the emcee throughout his rap career.
“I just want to say, in the short period of time, I’ve come to like the people of Shreveport in a different way. It feels like home for me, and eventually, it’ll be home because I have some work to do… I remember [Councilman] Alan [Jackson], the first time I spoke to him after Humor & Harmony, the first thing he said was, ‘Well, what’s next?’ And I was like, ‘I think I need to talk to tourism. I think I need to talk to all of these other people to build it out.’”
He continued, “I’m excited about building those things, and I want to say openly to [Councilman] Jim [Taliaferro] that — I haven’t had to talk to you directly — I promise you, I’ll over-deliver with Shreveport… Like you see, it was filled to capacity when we was here for Humor & Harmony. I have programs and plans for the facilities, so you’ll be able to look at the things that are happening throughout the year, and it’ll be actively used in a different way.”

Meek Mill firmly rejects false kidnapping allegations

Meek Mill swiftly confronted baseless allegations this week after rumors circulated claiming he had been kidnapped by Los Angeles Crips members. The unfounded story suggested fellow artist Rick Ross paid $50,000 to secure his release — a narrative Meek firmly rejected through a series of definitive social media statements. The Philadelphia-born rapper’s quick response demonstrates his commitment to protecting his reputation in an industry where rumors can potentially damage careers and personal relationships.
The fabricated kidnapping claim originated from an individual named Luce Cannon, prompting Meek’s immediate response. The Philadelphia rapper expressed bewilderment at the situation, suggesting Cannon might be using the fictional account to create confusion surrounding his own legal troubles. Meek emphatically stated he had never encountered Cannon personally and would not allow himself to become entangled in such schemes, calling Cannon a “fake thug.” Industry observers noted how quickly the allegations spread across social media platforms, highlighting the challenges artists face in the digital age where misinformation can gain traction rapidly.
In his defense against these allegations, Meek highlighted his substantial relationships within the Los Angeles hip-hop community. He specifically referenced his connections with respected California artists including the late Nipsey Hussle, YG, and Mustard. These relationships, Meek emphasized, are built on foundations of mutual respect and positive community building rather than conflict or illegal activities. His long-standing collaborations with West Coast artists serve as evidence of his genuine ties to the region’s hip-hop ecosystem.
Meek underscored his commitment to cultivating constructive relationships regardless of regional boundaries. His collaborations with West Coast artists demonstrate his dedication to transcending geographical divides that have historically created tension within hip-hop. This approach aligns with Meek’s broader vision of community empowerment and artistic solidarity. Throughout his career, the rapper has actively worked to foster connections between different hip-hop scenes, particularly between his native East Coast and the West Coast, where the kidnapping allegation falsely placed him in a compromising position.
Despite receiving considerable support from fans, some observers questioned the timing of Meek’s public statement. Critics noted his response came after Cannon’s arrest, raising questions about whether the timing was strategic. Nevertheless, Meek’s forceful rejection of the kidnapping narrative demonstrated his determination to protect his reputation and integrity within the industry. Throughout his career, Meek has generally been forthright in addressing controversies directly, establishing a pattern of transparency with both fans and critics alike.
Notably, Meek utilized the same social media platforms where rumors spread to issue his rebuttal. This approach allowed him to address speculation directly and transparently, reaching his audience without intermediaries. The strategy illustrates how contemporary artists increasingly manage their public image through direct digital communication rather than traditional media channels. By controlling his narrative through personal social media accounts, Meek maintained authority over his own story, preventing further distortion of facts surrounding the alleged incident.
Throughout this incident, Meek has remained focused on reinforcing his credibility and positive standing in hip-hop circles. By emphasizing his legitimate artistic relationships and collaborative spirit, he effectively countered narrative elements that attempted to associate him with criminal activities. His response exemplifies how established artists navigate and neutralize potentially damaging rumors in today’s fast-paced information environment. The rapper’s continued emphasis on community-building and positive relationships serves to strengthen his position as an influential voice in contemporary hip-hop.
This incident highlights a larger pattern within hip-hop where artists frequently contend with manufactured controversies and fabricated stories. The genre’s competitive nature and rich history of regional rivalries create fertile ground for such rumors to emerge. Meek’s situation serves as a case study in how established artists must remain vigilant about their public image and be prepared to address false claims promptly. Industry veterans recognize that allowing such allegations to go unchallenged can potentially impact business relationships, touring opportunities, and broader career prospects.
The situation serves as a powerful reminder of the challenges public figures face in an era where misinformation spreads rapidly across digital platforms. Meek Mill’s decisive response not only addressed the immediate false claims but also reinforced his commitment to positive community influence and cross-regional unity within hip-hop culture. As he continues navigating the complexities of public life, his dedication to authenticity and community uplift remains evident through both his words and actions. This incident, while unfortunate, ultimately demonstrates Meek’s resilience and determination to protect both his personal reputation and his professional relationships in an industry where credibility remains a valuable currency.

Erykah Badu Just ‘Trying to Stay on Trend’ By Trashing Her Tesla
Erykah Badu has loudly and proudly always marched to the beat of her own drummer. But the “Call Tyrone” singer admitted this week that she’s happily hopping on a recent trend to protest the deep cuts to government agencies being led by Elon Musk as part of his DOGE team by trashing one of the richest man in the world’s signature vehicles.
“Just vandalized my own Tesla,” Badu tweeted earlier this week. “Trying to stay on trend.”
There have been a number of attacks on Teslas and Tesla dealerships around the country over the past few weeks, from Cybertrucks set on fire to molotov cocktails hurled at Tesla dealerships and vandalism of charging stations. Attackers have also taken their ire out on the all-electric vehicles with anatomical drawings and NSFW messages such as “Hail Elon” and “Nazi car,” in seeming reference to Musk’s Nazi-like salute at Donald Trump’s inauguration in January.
It was unclear if Badu — who recently revealed to Billboard that she is working on her first new album in 15 years — was joking or actually dinged up her Tesla, but she is not the only one breaking up with the pricey vehicle that was once considered a badge of environmental courage. Sherly Crow announced last month that she had sold her Tesla and donated the proceeds to NPR in protest; NPR and PBS executives will be on Capitol Hill on Wednesday (March 26) to testify in a hearing titled “Anti-American Airwaves: Holding the Heads of NPR and PBS Accountable” as DOGE is reportedly homing in on drastic cuts to public radio and television.
While many protests across the nation, and the world, have focused on Teslas and Musk, Green Day took aim at the billionaire during shows in January, where singer Billie Joe Armstrong swiped at the unelected DOGE boss while performing in Musk’s home country of South Africa. “I’m not part of the Elon agenda,” he sang in a switch to a classic “American Idiot” lyric.
Jack White also slammed Musk during a performance of his 2018 single “Corporation” at a February 18 show on his No Name tour. “I was thinking about becoming an oligarch, who’s with me?” White sang in Boston. “I was thinking about taking government subsidies and starting my own electric car company. Who’s with me?” he added. “I’m thinking about not being elected. Never holding a public office. Never serving one day of military service. But somehow having the authority to control parts of the U.S. Government. Who’s with me?”
Then, on the debut episode of Netflix’s Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney earlier this month, 1960s folk legend Joan Baez lamented that “our democracy is going up in flames… we’re being run by a bunch of really incompetent billionaires.” And while she didn’t name names, when Mulaney joked about Baez owning a Tesla, she noted that she did used to have one, but that she sincerely regrets the purchase now.
“I hated that thing,” Baez, 84, said of the car from the company that has lost $800 billion in market share since December after once being valued at $1.54 trillion. “But I thought I was supposed to like it. So I drove off in it. Within 45 minutes I had smashed it into an oak tree on my property… I was thinking, ‘That’s a sign.’” Without saying when she ditched it, Baez added, “I hated it… It was too big… I sold it and got one-half the amount of money I paid for.”

Jesse Williams and his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, faced off at court last week, where the Grey’s Anatomy star was awarded sole legal custody regarding their children’s healthcare, but he was shut down in his demand for answers about her new boyfriend, In Touch can exclusively report.
Jesse, 43, and Aryn, 43, appeared in court on March 20, months after the actor demanded their current custody arrangement be modified to provide him with 50/50 custody.
According to the minute order from the court hearing obtained by In Touch, Jesse and Aryn presented a custody plan where they will share physical custody with alternating weeks.
In addition, the judge said, “The parties shall have three consecutive weeks for vacation during the summer every year, with each parent choosing a week between their two custodial weeks to comprise the three weeks.”
Further, Jesse must keep Aryn informed of all information regarding the minor children’s health, education and welfare.
Jesse also accused Aryn of not returning their daughter’s Apple Watch that he purchased, which the court said she must return within 48 hours of the hearing.
The deal stated no party shall have more than 14 consecutive overnights parenting time with the kid.
The recent live-action remake of Disney's 1937 classic "Snow White" has been marred by underwhelming box office returns and off-screen controversies, with the son of the film's producer, Jonah Platt, blaming star Rachel Zegler for the movie's poor performance.
Despite initial projections, the film managed to garner only $43 million domestically and $87.3 million worldwide in its first weekend, against a massive production cost of $270 million.
Jonah Platt, son of producer Marc Platt, took to Instagram to voice his criticism. His harsh comments came in response to suggestions that his father's actions - flying to New York to speak with Zegler about a politically charged social media post - were inappropriate.
Jonah Platt did not hold back, arguing that Zegler's political statements were detrimental to the film's success. He stated, "You really want to do this? Yeah, my dad, the producer of enormous piece of Disney IP with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, had to leave his family to fly across the country to reprimand his 20 year old employee for dragging her personal politics into the middle of promoting the movie for which she signed a multi-million dollar contract to get paid and do publicity for."
"This is called adult responsibility and accountability. And her actions clearly hurt the film's box office."
Zegler's comments on social media, including a "Free Palestine" post and critiques of the original 1937 "Snow White" film's gender dynamics, have sparked controversy.
These posts reportedly led to Disney's proactive measures including security arrangements for co-star Gal Gadot and hiring a social media specialist to manage Zegler's posts.
In one instance, just days after promoting the "Snow White" trailer at Disney's D23 convention, Zegler tweeted, "and always remember, free Palestine," which garnered significant attention and mixed reactions online.
Jonah Platt emphasized that the issue of free speech in private employment contexts has limits, especially when a major financial project is on the line. He added, "Free speech does not mean you're allowed to say whatever you want in your private employment without repercussions."
"Tens of thousands of people worked on that film and she hijacked the conversation for her own immature desires at the risk of all the colleagues and crew and blue collar workers who depend on that movie to be successful. Narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged."
On the other hand, Gal Gadot also got political, voicing her support for Israel. Her Hollywood of Walk of Fame ceremony drew significant protests, clearly showing that her statements have alienated a huge number of fans but Jonah Platt made no mention of that.

Wendy Williams has offered her forgiveness to her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., for his alleged financial mismanagement. According to Ginalisa Monterroso, Williams' health care advocate, the forgiveness is deeply rooted in the unconditional love that Williams has for her son despite the controversies that have surrounded them.
The saga began in 2022 when Wells Fargo froze Williams' accounts, suspecting she was a victim of undue influence and financial exploitation. Hunter Jr., who had power of attorney at the time, was accused of taking a large sum of money from her account without proper authorization.
Wendy Williams was subsequently put under guardianship that she's now fighting hard to get out. Her mental state was questioned and dementia diagnosis was announced in 2023, leading to more recent claims that she's "mentally incapacitated," which she vehemently denied.
Hunter Jr. has denied these allegations, maintaining that his mother approved all financial transactions. In the Lifetime documentary "Where Is Wendy Williams?" he vehemently asserted that his mother's lavish spending habits were well-known and that he never took money without her consent.
Before the debacle with Hunter Jr., Williams' ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, was also accused of financial mismanagement during his marriage to the TV host.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Monterroso clarified some misconceptions by explaining that the financial difficulties occurred three years ago and that Williams has since moved past it.
"What people have to understand is that Wendy told the world now that this happened three years ago... That will always be her son, unconditional love," Monterroso stated.
Despite the family friction, Williams has maintained a relationship with her son. She recently visited him during a trip to Florida to celebrate her father's birthday. Monterroso highlighted that Williams and her son remain in communication, emphasizing their enduring bond despite past grievances.
Most recently, Williams claimed she "passed" the mental competency test "with flying colors." Monterroso shared Williams was looking forward to a jury trial to evaluate her guardianship status, underscoring Williams' desire to regain control over her affairs.

'Real Housewives' star Teresa Giudice and her husband owe $3M in taxes

New Jersey reality TV star Teresa Giudice is facing more trouble with the law after she and her husband were found to owe more than $3 million in taxes, online records show.
Giudice, who rose to fame as a cast member of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," was issued more than $303,000 in tax liens last week, the New Jersey Courts website says. Her husband, Luis Ruelas, owes an additional $2.6 million after he was hit with a $163,000 lien in December.
The court documents list the couple's home on Pond View in Montville, which they purchased in 2021.
Giudice, 52, has not commented publicly on the records. Her latest post on X on Tuesday morning, which limited comments from users, advertised a trio of June dates for her live stage show "Party with a Housewife" in Washington, D.C., Cincinnati and Chicago.
The news marks the latest legal issue for Giudice, the only cast member to appear in all 14 seasons of "Real Housewives."
In 2013, she and her then-husband, Joe, were charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud, wire fraud and bank fraud, making false statements of loan applications and bankruptcy fraud. Teresa Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in jail as part of a plea deal and was released in December 2015 after serving 11 months.
Joe Giudice received a 41-month sentence, after which he was deported to his native Italy. The couple split up in 2019, and Teresa Giudice married Ruelas in East Brunswick in August 2022.
Giudice's new financial woes come as the "Real Housewives" series faces an uncertain future.
Show executives canceled the traditional reunion at the end of season 14 due to ongoing rifts among the group of women. Last summer, executive producer Andy Cohen hinted that season 15 could feature "all fresh faces," but there has been no filming to date with new or returning cast members.

Beyoncé Told Michael Caine on “Austin Powers” Set That She Wants to 'Win an Academy Award for a Movie' One Day

Michael Caine had a front-row seat to Beyoncé’s brilliance way back in 2002.
Caine, 92, opened up about working with Beyoncé, 43, on 2002’s Austin Powers in Goldmember in his new book Don’t Look Back, You’ll Trip Over: My Guide to Life. The film — the third and final installment in the Austin Powers series — saw Caine play Nigel Powers, the father of Mike Myers’ super spy Austin. Beyoncé played Foxxy Cleopatra, who parodied blaxploitation heroines, while Caine’s character referenced the Swinging ‘60s parts he played during that decade.
“The whole series was a send-up of the Sixties, and the fashion, and all the psychedelic stuff,” Caine said in the book, which is a conversation between the actor and journalist Matthew d'Ancona. “Just lampooning the whole decade in the best possible way.” Getting asked to do the movie was “too good an opportunity to pass up.”
“I loved doing that movie, poking fun at the Sixties but also celebrating it all again. It was great fun,” he said.
d'Ancona, 57, then asked about Caine’s memories of Beyoncé. “Only nineteen at the time, I think, and a very nice person,” Caine said of the Cowboy Carter singer. “You could already tell how focused she was and how big a star she was going to be.
And that focus was apparent immediately to the two-time Oscar winner. “I remember the first day on set, I asked her what her ambition was, and she said, ‘I want to win an Academy Award for a movie.’ Not a trace of arrogance, just clarity,” Caine remembered. Goldmember was Beyoncé’s big screen debut, and it came just before she left Destiny’s Child to go solo.
d'Ancona pointed out that Beyoncé was nominated for an Oscar in 2023 for her song "Be Alive" from King Richard. Caine said, “I’m sure she’ll win an Oscar eventually. She’s already won a bunch of Grammys!” He called her 30 Grammys a “phenomenal achievement.”
As for Beyoncé in the comedy film, she said, “On set, she was totally engaged in the comedy, as we all were – Michael York and Robert Wagner, and the late Verne Troyer, who played Mini-Me so brilliantly. Mike Myers is a sort of crazy genius, and a lovely guy, who kept us all laughing and enjoying ourselves.”
“I remember him playing loud rock’n’roll between takes, which was a new one on me!” Caine said. “He knew a lot about my movies and couldn’t have been more charming to me. I had a really good time.”
As for acting in general, Caine said in his book that he thinks it’s important to not worry about having a “perfect score card” in one's career. He explained, “Everybody makes mistakes – in fact, something’s gone wrong if you don’t. It shows you’re being too cautious, too wary of risk. What makes the difference is how you deal with failure, how you get its measure, and move on.”
