#RHOA: Shamea Morton compares Angela Oakley to LaToya Jackson
Shamea Morton and Angela Oakley got into a war of words — for a second time — during Sunday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
While at castmate Kelli Ferrell’s “Mommy and Me” charity event at Balmain, Oakley approached Morton to see if they could move forward from their heated argument during their workout session in last week’s episode.
The real estate investor told Morton that they got off on a “bad foot” and that she would like to talk.
Morton replied, “I would love to talk. I would like to meet Angela and not Drew [Sidora’s] representative.”
Oakley corrected Morton, telling her, “That was Angela.”
The former NBA cheerleader, 42, then asked: “So you speak on Drew’s behalf? Well, then we don’t need to talk about nothing ’cause your feelings [are] what your feelings are.”
After Morton told Oakley she was “cool” on her and walked away, the mom of three told her co-star to “be nice.”
Oakley then called Morton “ShaMEANa.”Morton began poking fun at Oakley’s facial features, saying that she had a “’99 nose” then said, “Of all the noses you could’ve picked you chose that?”
Oakley compared Morton to Public Enemy group member Flavor Flav because she’s the “loudest one in the room” and because she “does all the work” for her BFF, Porsha Williams.
When Morton said Oakley needed glue to get her “nose back down,” the latter struck back, saying, “Can someone get your nose out of Porsha’s ass?”
During a confessional, Morton revealed she dressed as Flav for Halloween in 2023, but didn’t know Oakley would be “LaToya Jackson for today.”
It’s unclear if Oakley has undergone any plastic surgery procedures on her face.
In last week’s episode, the ladies clashed during a gym session when they spoke about Morton asking Sidora, 39, if she was dating Williams’ ex Dennis McKinley at her birthday party.
“I think I was just shocked that you asked a question for Porsha,” Oakley said to her castmate.
Morton said she asked the question for herself and not for the Go Naked Hair founder, 43. However, Oakley didn’t believe Morton and said she was “being Porsha’s assistant.”
Oakley revealed in Sunday’s episode that their conversation ended with Morton “storming away.”
New episodes of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” air Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.

#MusicNews: Erykah Badu Prepping First New Album In 15 Years, Along with Producer The Alchemist

Well, this is exciting. Erykah Badu is a treasure of American music, and she never goes away. Badu continues to give transcendent live shows and record occasional collaborations, though she doesn’t really do that many of those. (Jamie xx’s recent single “F.U.,” billed as a collab, was really more a track built from a sample of Badu’s stage patter.) Badu hasn’t released a full-length from the intentionally minor 2015 mixtape But You Caint Use My Phone, and she hasn’t dropped a proper album since the 2010 opus New Amerykah Part Two (Return Of The Ankh). But Badu is apparently working on a new album right now, and she’s doing it with the Alchemist!
For Billboard‘s annual Women In Music issue, the writer Damien Scott profiles Erykah Badu, and she reminisces on her early days — growing up in Dallas, moving to Brooklyn, recording her classic 1997 debut Baduizm. Badu also talks about being much more interested in performing live than recording: “I tour eight months out of the year for the past 25 years. That’s what I do. I am a performance artist. I am not a recording artist. I come from the theater. It’s the immediate reaction between you and the audience and the immediate feeling. The point where you become one living, breathing organism with people. That’s what I live for. It’s my therapy. And theirs, too. We’re in it together. And I like the idea that it happens only once.”
Even if Badu isn’t that into recording, she’s doing it again right now. The profile includes the news that Badu is recording a new album and that it’ll be produced solely by the Alchemist, someone who’s been in the game even longer than Badu. Alchemist remains as busy as ever. He recently teamed up with 2 Chainz and Larry June on the collaborative album Life Is Beautiful, and he’s lately been working on something called FORENSICS, a collaborative album with Badu’s contemporary Yasiin Bey. Badu doesn’t really say anything about the album in the Billboard piece — just that she can’t wait for it to be done. A few weeks ago, though, a teaser of a new song that seems to be called “Valentine” went up on Instagram, and it sounds really good.

#HipHopNews: NaS has Excitement For a DJ Premier Album & Mobb Deep Collaboration
Nas may have been relatively quiet in 2024 compared to his prolific run in recent years, but 2025 could be another big year for the rap legend.
Over the weekend, Esco gave fans a glimpse at his busy schedule by sharing a screenshot on his Instagram Stories of his Google Calendar while wishing DJ Premier a happy 59th birthday.
The image revealed that March has been (and continues to be) a packed month for Nas, with several days-long recording sessions booked in with Premo, including in the tropical location of the Bahamas.
In fact, the entirety of this week and next week are blocked out for the Illmatic MC to lock in with his longtime collaborator in the studio, presumably for their eagerly anticipated joint album.
There are also a number of other intriguing events in Nas’ calendar, including what appears to be studio time for Mobb Deep‘s upcoming album, listening sessions for Ghostface Killah and Raekwon, and a meeting with “Ruler,” presumably Slick Rick.
Nas and DJ Premier confirmed last year that they were releasing a joint album, almost two decades after the idea was first floated (and has remained at the top of many fans’ wishlist ever since).
The veteran duo, who have joined forces in the past on classic songs such as “N.Y. State of Mind,” “Nas is Like” and “2nd Childhood,” kickstarted the rollout with the single “Define My Name.”
The release of the track, which pairs Nas’ deft, braggadocious rhymes with Premo’s boom bap bounce, also coincided with the 30th anniversary of Illmatic.
“I got the rhymes, you got the beats… 30 years later we back in the streets, we back in the lab… It’s album time,” Premo says during a playful back-and-forth with Esco at the end of the song.
Further details about the album, including a title or release date, have yet to be revealed, but it is expected to be released via Nas’ Mass Appeal Records.
As for Mobb Deep’s upcoming project, The Alchemist confirmed in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club that he’s working with both Havoc and Nas to put it together.
“It’s me and Hav are doing the beats. Nas is involved,” he said. “It feels great just to hear [Prodigy’s] voice again. We missed it. It’s a void not hearing his voice anymore.”
The as-yet-untitled project will mark the Queensbridge duo’s first full-length offering since the death of Prodigy in 2017.
Meanwhile, Ghostface Killah’s most recent album Set the Tone was released last year via Mass Appeal Records and the Wu-Tang Clan legend is said to be working on a number of new projects, including a sequel to 2000’s Supreme Clientele.
Raekwon also recently announced that he was gearing up to drop a new album, which may arrive via Nas’ record label as well.

Stars Descend Upon Broadway For Denzel Washington’s ‘Othello’ Opening Night

Othello has finally returned to Broadway—40 years after its last theatrical appearance. Opening night went down on Sunday (March 23) and featured Denzel Washington in the titular role, with Jake Gyllenhaal playing the villainous character, Iago. The previous iteration of the play kicked off in 1982 and starred the late James Earl Jones and Christopher Plummer.
Suppose you have never read William Shakespeare’s Othello. In that case, the story follows the titular character, who is a Moorish military commander, as he falls prey to Iago’s manipulative ways as he mentally tortures Othello and convinces him that his wife, Desdemona, has committed infidelity.
Stars descended upon Broadway to experience Denzel in his element, starring in a role that his “hero,” Mr. Jones, once played. The red carpet was stacked with talent, both comprised of Washington’s peers and entertainers who have long studied the great thespian.

Lizzo To Star As Sister Rosetta Tharpe In ‘Rosetta’ Biopic
Lizzo is tasked with bringing the story of Sister Rosetta Tharpe to life in a pending biopic. Exclusively reported by Deadline, the Grammy-winning musician will play the iconic Rock ‘N Roll pioneer in the Rosetta film for Amazon MGM Studios.
A director has not been named for the project currently in development with Lizzo, Kevin Beisler, Significant Productions’ Nina Yang Bongiovi, and Forest Whitaker producing. Natalie Chaidez and Kwynn Perry are set to write the screenplay.
“Black people made rock n roll yeaaaah,” exclaimed the 36-year-old as she shared the announcement on social media with musical note emojis.
The news comes as Lizzo makes her return to music after a brief hiatus. Earlier this month, the Houston-raised artist released her new single, “Still Bad,” her second release this year following last month’s “Love In Real Life.” Both songs are her first drops since 2023’s “Special.”
“Saying my brand of ‘poptimism’ doesn’t work in a ‘post Covid world‘ is a lazy take.. As if I didn’t release ‘About Damn Time’ post-pandemic,” explained the singer to online critics of her fresh sound.
“I think seeing and hearing a black woman make real music with radical joy triggers miserable people… but I follow in the footsteps of Janet, of Funkadelic, of Earth Wind and Fire… nobody’s doing it like me for Us. And I stand on that.”
In December 2024, Judge Fernando L. Aenlle-Rocha granted a partial motion to dismiss several claims alleging racial and sexual harassment by members of Lizzo’s management team in a lawsuit filed by Asha Daniels, an ex-employee of Lizzo’s Big Grrrl Big Tour company.
In the decision, the judge ruled that US labor laws do not apply because Daniels worked for Lizzo while on tour in Europe.
“I was literally living in my dream, and then the tour ended, and three ex-dancers just completely, like, blindsided me with a lawsuit,” shared the “Truth Hurts” performer later that month. “I liked them and appreciated them as dancers, respected them as dancers. So I was like, what? But then I heard all the other things like sexual harassment, and I was like, they’re trying well, I don’t know what they’re trying to do, but these are the types of things that the media can turn into something that it’s not.”

Rick Ross opens upscale cosmetic dentistry in Atlanta
Rick Ross has expanded his entrepreneurial empire into the world of cosmetic dentistry with the launch of Smiles by Mario Montoya, a premium dental practice in Sandy Springs, Atlanta. The March 20 grand opening marks a significant milestone for the rapper-turned-businessman, who has joined forces with acclaimed Colombian dentist Dr. Mario Montoya to revolutionize dental care in one of America’s cultural capitals.
The new upscale facility aims to serve both everyday clients and celebrities seeking top-tier dental transformations. Already counting T-Pain, Safaree, and MoneyBagg Yo among its clientele, the practice offers a comprehensive range of services designed to create what Ross calls “Billion Dollar Smiles.”
Patients can access reasonably priced essential treatments including root canals, gum bleaching, and gum contouring. For those seeking more dramatic transformations, the clinic provides permanent implants starting at $4,400, while complete porcelain veneer sets — the premium option — run approximately $25,000.
Ross’s trust in Montoya stems from personal experience. In October 2020, the music magnate traveled to Montoya’s Cali, Colombia practice for a six-hour procedure that resulted in the gleaming porcelain veneer grills he proudly displays today.
The decision to establish the practice in Atlanta was deliberate and meaningful. Ross considers the city an iconic cultural hub, particularly significant to the African American community.
Ross believes that when it comes to the culture, when it comes to his people, when it comes to investing in themselves, the level of artistry is unmatched in Atlanta.
The venture also addresses a practical need—many Atlantans have historically traveled to Colombia for premium dental work. By bringing Montoya’s expertise directly to Georgia, Ross and his partner have eliminated this inconvenience while maintaining the exceptional quality that made the Colombian dentist famous.
For Ross, whose business portfolio already spans fast food restaurants, real estate, and spirits, this dental venture represents a natural extension of his personal philosophy about self-investment.
The rapper’s journey into cosmetic dentistry began with his own dental challenges. Ross reflects that it was all about investing in himself. Running around and smoking had caused his teeth to turn nearly brown, which motivated him to invest in himself.
This transformative experience convinced Ross of Montoya’s exceptional talents. Ross considers Montoya the best in the field. He sought out the dentist because of his superior equipment and machines. Ross admires that Montoya is truly dedicated to his dental care practice.
Growing up in Miami, Ross witnessed firsthand the evolving standards of dental aesthetics in the African American community, particularly the once-popular gold teeth trend. Now, he advocates for a different approach—one focused on healthy, bright smiles that can change perceptions and create opportunities.
Ross believes strongly in the professional advantages of dental improvements. He encourages others to consider quality dental work as a strategic investment rather than merely cosmetic enhancement. Ross urges people to invest in themselves, smile bright, and walk into business meetings showing others they are serious and not playing games.
At its core, the Smiles by Mario Montoya venture represents more than just another business for Ross—it embodies his commitment to community empowerment. By making world-class cosmetic dentistry more accessible to Atlanta residents, Ross and Montoya aim to transform both smiles and confidence levels throughout the region.
The practice balances luxury with accessibility, offering services across multiple price points to ensure that quality dental care isn’t exclusively for the wealthy or famous. This approach aligns perfectly with Ross’s broader business philosophy of creating pathways to success and self-improvement.
As the venture takes its first steps, it stands poised to redefine cosmetic dentistry in Atlanta while further cementing Ross’s reputation as a diversified entrepreneur with a genuine interest in community enhancement. By bringing international dental expertise to a city he deeply respects, Ross continues to demonstrate his commitment to investing not just in businesses, but in people.

(AP) — Former U.S. Rep. Mia Love of Utah, a daughter of Haitian immigrants who became the first Black Republican woman elected to Congress, died Sunday. She was 49. Love's family posted news of her death on Love's X account.
She had undergone recent treatment for brain cancer and received immunotherapy as part of a clinical trial at Duke University’s brain tumor center. Her daughter said earlier this month that the former lawmaker was no longer responding to treatment.
Love died at her home in Saratoga Springs, Utah, according to a statement posted by the family.
“With grateful hearts filled to overflowing for the profound influence of Mia on our lives, we want you to know that she passed away peacefully,” her family said. “We are thankful for the many good wishes, prayers and condolences."
Utah Gov. Spencer Cox referred to Love as a “true friend" and said in a statement that her legacy of service inspired all who knew her.
Love entered politics in 2003 after winning a seat on the city council in Saratoga Springs, a growing community about 30 miles (48 kilometers) south of Salt Lake City. She later became the city’s mayor.
In 2012, Love narrowly lost a bid for the House against the Democratic incumbent, former Rep. Jim Matheson, in a district that covers a string of Salt Lake City suburbs. She ran again two years later and defeated first-time candidate Doug Owens by about 7,500 votes.
Love didn’t emphasize her race during her campaigns, but she acknowledged the significance of her election after her 2014 victory. She said her win defied naysayers who had suggested that a Black, Republican, Mormon woman couldn’t win a congressional seat in overwhelmingly white Utah.
She was briefly considered a rising star within the GOP and she kept her distance from Donald Trump, who was unpopular with many Utah voters, while he was running for president ahead of the 2016 election.
In an op-ed published earlier this month in the Deseret News, Love described the version of America she grew up loving and shared her enduring wish for the nation to become less divisive. She thanked her medical team and every person who had prayed for her.
Love said her parents immigrated to the U.S. with $10 in their pocket and a belief that hard work would lead to success. She said she was raised to believe passionately in the American dream and “to love this country, warts and all.” America at its roots is respectful, resilient, giving and grounded in gritty determination, she said.
Her career in politics exposed Love to America's ugly side, but she said it also gave her a front row seat to be inspired by people's hope and courage. She shared her wish for neighbors to come together and focus on their similarities rather than their differences
“Some have forgotten the math of America — whenever you divide you diminish,” Love wrote.
She urged elected officials to lead with compassion and communicate honestly with their constituents.
“In the end, I hope that my life will have mattered and made a difference for the nation I love and the family and friends I adore,” Love wrote. “I hope you will see the America I know in the years ahead, that you will hear my words in the whisper of the wind of freedom and feel my presence in the flame of the enduring principles of liberty. My living wish and fervent prayer for you and for this nation is that the America I have known is the America you fight to preserve.”
In 2016, facing reelection and following the release of a 2005 recording in which Trump made lewd comments about groping women, Love skipped the Republican National Convention and released a statement saying definitively that she would not vote for Trump. She instead endorsed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in the GOP race, but he dropped out months later.
While seeking a third term in 2018, Love tried to separate herself from Trump on trade and immigration while still backing her party's positions on tax cuts. Despite Republican voters outnumbering Democrats by a nearly three-to-one margin in her district, though, she lost by fewer than 700 votes to Democrat Ben McAdams, a former Salt Lake County mayor.
Trump called out Love by name in a news conference the morning after she lost, where he also bashed other Republicans who didn’t fully embrace him.
“Mia Love gave me no love, and she lost,” Trump said. “Too bad. Sorry about that, Mia.”
After her loss, Love served as a political commentator on CNN and as a fellow at the University of Sydney.
Following Trump’s election in November, Love said she was “OK with the outcome.”
“Return of the Mack” Singer Mark Morrison Arrested After Alleged Altercation With Florida Restaurant Manager
Mark Morrison, best known for his ’90s hit “Return of the Mack,” was arrested over the weekend in Palm Beach, Florida, after an alleged physical altercation at a high-end restaurant.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Morrison stormed into Le Bar à Vin on Saturday evening and began yelling and cursing at the restaurant’s general manager, Nicola Lavacca, over a disagreement tied to an event he had been planning with the venue just the day before.
Witnesses told police that the confrontation escalated when Morrison allegedly pushed Lavacca in the upper body. The manager reportedly did not retaliate, and another bystander quickly stepped in to separate them and asked Morrison to step outside.
Police arrived and, based on the witness statements and evidence, arrested Morrison on a charge of simple battery. A photo from the scene shows the singer in handcuffs, wearing a black shirt, khaki shorts, and bright yellow shoes.
He was later booked and posed for a mugshot in a blue jumpsuit, appearing visibly unhappy. Morrison was released on Sunday morning after posting $1,000 bond.
Neither Morrison nor his representatives have issued a public statement on the incident.

CONGRATS! Toni Braxton’s Son, Denim Braxton-Lewis, Is A College Graduate!

It’s hard to believe that Toni Braxton’s oldest son, Denim Cole Braxton-Lewis, is a college graduate–but he is. The 23-year-old walked across the stage, and his mother couldn’t be prouder.
“My first born @denimbraxton, is officially a college graduate! 🎓” The singer wrote in a caption under an Instagram post of herself, Denim and his father Keri Lewis. “Words can’t even express how proud I am of you! I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll do! Proud #BoyMom! 🧡”
The Un-Break My Heart singer also shared clips from the graduation ceremony on her Instagram stories. In one of them, she wrote, “That’s my boy” as the crowd cheered and Denim crossed the stage.
The 23-year-old attended Grand Canyon University and studied sports management during his time there. Denim’s choice to study sports management isn’t a surprise considering he used to play basketball when he attended Oaks Christian High School.
When the 23-year-old isn’t busy studying, he’s in his modeling bag. The recent graduate and his younger brother Diesel walked as part of designer Marcell Von Berlin’s Spring 2022 runway show in Los Angeles.
Toni and Keri Lewis gave birth to Denim in 2001. The former couple married earlier that year but divorced in 2012 after 12 years of marriage. Luckily, according to an interview with AmoMama in 2021, their split didn’t negatively impact Denim.
“They kept a great friendship, which really helped me and my brother feel comfortable,” he told the platform.
“I think because they handled it so well and sat my brother and me down numerous times and explained it to us, it never really affected our relationship with them in a bad way, at least,” he added.
Toni and Keri have clearly continued doing a standout job seeing as they have now have a multi-talented graduate.
During the mentioned interview, Denim also praised his parents for teaching him this ‘biggest lesson’:
“Nothing comes easy – you have to work for what you want in life – and never limit yourself to one thing,” he said. This a lesson that keeps on giving. Congratulations, Denim!

Disney's live-action remake of "Snow White" earned $43 million during its opening weekend in North America, according to Box Office Mojo. Despite its $270 million budget, the film fell short of the projected $48-$58 million, making it one of Disney's lowest-earning live-action remakes.
The global box office tells a different story. With an additional $87.3 million from 52 international markets, the film is off to a more promising start outside North America. This global performance has kept it from being a total disappointment, despite the underwhelming domestic numbers.
The film, starring Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, unseated the Chinese animated epic "Ne Zha 2" from its top spot at the global box office.
"Ne Zha 2," which is based on Xu Zhonglin's 16th-century novel "Investiture of the Gods" and has accumulated $2.1 billion globally, had held the top spot for eight consecutive weeks.
"Snow White" faced a barrage of backlash even before its debut. The casting of Rachel Zegler, who is of Colombian and Polish descent, led to racist criticism. Additionally, Peter Dinklage accused Disney of "hypocrisy" for perpetuating the story's portrayal of dwarfs.
Despite the controversies and a slow start, the film does have a precedent of overcoming initial hurdles. Disney's "The Little Mermaid" (2023) similarly had a modest opening but eventually grossed nearly $570 million worldwide, far exceeding its budget.
Director Marc Webb praised Zegler's casting, stating, "Rachel's extraordinary vocal abilities are just the beginning of her gifts. Her strength, intelligence, and optimism will become an integral part of rediscovering the joy in this classic Disney fairytale."
Zegler's onscreen love interest echoed the sentiments, "I had an absolute blast working on that. I think Rachel is truly a once-in-a-generation talent, and I hope people will be as moved by what she did as I was."
As for Gadot, she shared her excitement about playing the Evil Queen, "I'm so excited and I cannot wait to get into the shoes and the crown of the Evil Queen."
In contrast, other films struggled at the domestic box office. Steven Soderbergh's "Black Bag" and Marvel's "Captain America: Brave New World" earned $4.4 million and $4.1 million, respectively.
As moviegoers eagerly await new releases, the coming weeks will tell if "Snow White" can, like its protagonist, rise above adversity and achieve a fairytale ending. Disney hopes that with the right mix of marketing and audience goodwill, the film will follow in the footsteps of its live-action peers and exceed its initial limitations.
"Snow White" - $43 million
"Black Bag" - $4.4 million
"Captain America: Brave New World" - $4.1 million
"Mickey 17" - $3.9 million
"Novocaine" - $3.8 million
"The Alto Knights" - $3.2 million
"The Day the Earth Blew Up" - $1.8 million
"The Monkey" - $1.5 million
"Dog Man" - $1.5 million
"The Last Supper" - $1.3 million

Former New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner and his wife, Jessica, are mourning an unimaginable loss as they announce the death of their 14-year-old son, Miller.
Miller Gardner passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of March 21, after falling ill during a family getaway. The heart-wrenching news was shared by Brett and Jessica Gardner via a statement released on the New York Yankees' X account.
"With heavy hearts, we are saddened to announce the passing of our youngest son, Miller. He was 14 years old and has left us far too soon after falling ill along with several other family members while on vacation," the couple began.
"We have so many questions and so few answers at this point, but we do know that he passed away peacefully in his sleep."
The Gardners described Miller as "a beloved son and brother" and reflected on the joy he brought to their lives. "He loved football, baseball, golf, hunting, fishing, his family, and his friends. He lived life to the fullest every single day," they wrote, emphasizing the loss of his "infectious smile."
The couple, who also have another son named Hunter, expressed their gratitude to those who have offered support during this difficult time.
"We are thankful to all who have reached out to offer support and encouragement during this difficult time and we are confident our faith, family, and friends will help us navigate this unimaginable loss," the statement continued.
They also requested privacy as they mourn and search for healing.
The New York Yankees sent condolences with a deeply heartfelt message, "Our hearts are heavy, and the Yankees family is filled with grief after learning of the passing of Miller Gardner."
"Words feel insignificant and insufficient in trying to describe such an unimaginable loss," the team wrote. "It wasn't just Brett who literally grew up in this organization for more than 17 years - so did his wife, Jessica, and their two boys, Hunter and Miller."
Brett Gardner, a well-loved figure in the baseball community, played his entire 14-year MLB career with the Yankees, ending his on-field journey after the 2021 season. He earned accolades such as a 2015 American League All-Star selection and a 2016 Gold Glove award.
As the Yankees' statement concluded, "We grieve with Brett, Jessica, Hunter, and their community of family and friends in mourning the loss of Miller, who had a spark in his eyes, an outgoing and feisty personality, and a warm and loving nature."
As the family was navigating this hard time, Miller's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Billy Porter to make UK directorial debut with new play starring Omari Douglas and Alexander Lincoln
Billy Porter, of Pose fame, will make his UK directorial debut this summer in London.
Porter is set to direct This Bitter Earth by Harrison David Rivers which will run in the Soho Theatre from 18 June through 26 July and will star Omari Douglas and Alexander Lincoln.
This Bitter Earth has been described as “an intimate, romantic and gripping play about
a young black writer and his white activist lover that asks, ‘What is the real cost of standing
on the sidelines?'”
It tells the story of an interracial couple who meet at a political demonstration that inspires one of them to dive head first into the world of activism, whilst the other resists.
Douglas is best known for his turn starring opposite Olly Alexander in the Russell T Davies drama It’s A Sin. He has also appeared opposite Billie Piper in I Hate Suzie, and performed in the West End adaptation of the seminal queer novel A Little Life with James Norton.
Lincoln will be recognizable to many from the steamy gay rugby drama In From The Side. He first found fame on Emmerdale, and he also features in the upcoming gay romance A Night Like This which is currently screening at BFI Flare.
While Porter has not directed theatre in the UK before, he is currently on the West End playing the Emcee in Cabaret, having stepped into the shoes of Eddie Redmayne and Jake Shears who have both played the role in recent times. The Tony and Grammy-winning performer is also set to be headline Manchester Pride this summer.
“Harrison David Rivers has written a searingly poignant and necessary play about love and loss through the lens of the fraying American Democratic experiment,” Porter said. “Simple. Complex. Direct and filled with compassion all at once. I’m thrilled to be a part of bringing this very special piece to life.”
The play is being produced by Thomas Hopkins who has described Porter as “a creative visionary”.

Is Gayle King’s Future at CBS in Doubt?

*CBS anchor Gayle King is reportedly outraged after CBS decided to downgrade the CBS Mornings studio just after she extended her contract for another year.
As RadarOnline reports, the show is being relocated from its high-tech Times Square studio to the older CBS Broadcast Center on West 57th Street. Insiders say King, 70, was given no prior notice and is demanding her new dressing room be upgraded to match her previous accommodations.
“Gayle is livid. She sees this as a personal attack,” insiders said. “She only signed a one-year extension, and this was not part of the deal.”
“She made it very clear—she’s not going to be shoved into some dingy little room,” an insider stated. “She expects the same level of comfort and prestige she had at 1515 Broadway. No exceptions.”
If the network does not meet her demands, King is reportedly prepared to walk away.
“This is the final insult. Gayle is done putting up with this,” another source explained. “She’s got Oprah in her corner, she has options, and she’s not afraid to use them.”
The decision to move the show’s studio stems from CBS CEO Wendy McMahon’s aggressive cost-cutting efforts, aiming to slash $500 million ahead of a possible merger with Skydance Media. The FCC is currently reviewing Skydance’s proposal to acquire CBS’s parent company, Paramount, in a $28 billion deal expected to close in the spring. Sources suggest the new ownership, led by David and Larry Ellison, could introduce sweeping changes to the network, particularly in the news division.
“The place has been in freefall for years, and if the sale goes through, there’s no way the new owners will settle for status quo,” a source revealed.
CBS has faced recent shake-ups, including salary cuts for high-profile anchors like Norah O’Donnell and declining ratings for King’s CBS Mornings. As the potential takeover looms, network employees fear for their jobs.
“Morale is at the bottom,” one insider admitted.
“Everybody knows their jobs are on the line. If this purchase goes through and there’s no reason it shouldn’t – there’s going to be a massive fire sale in the news division.”

The story behind one of Atlanta’s most popular adults-only landmarks will soon be available on streaming. The STARZ network has acquired Magic City: An American Fantasy, a five-part docuseries exploring the legacy of the famous strip club and its powerful influence on Hip-Hop.
“Magic City: An American Fantasy is a riveting behind-the-curtain look at one of the most unique places in Black culture,” explained Kathryn Busby, President of Original Programming at STARZ in a statement. “The docuseries’ unprecedented insider access and history unveiled from those who built its empire is a perfect complement to STARZ’s slate of adult, culture-driving shows.”
“From politicians to artists, to drug kingpins, Magic City has been a home for a broad cross-section of Black Atlanta for decades. Everyone should know the unbelievable story of this institution and the man who founded it, and STARZ is the perfect partner to bring it to the world. We’re thrilled,” added
Creator and executive producer Cole Brown.
Magic City has been a legendary Atlanta institution and launchpad for countless Hip-Hop artists since 1985, raising the club’s reputation as the “Black Studio 54.” The program aims to dive deeply into its storied rise to global prominence and how it became a definitive king-maker with regular clientele including 2 Chainz, Nelly, Shaquille O’Neal, Quavo, Killer Mike, Big Boi, and more.
Magic City: An American Fantasy also tells the story of its founder, Michael “Mr. Magic” Barney as well as touching on the many lives of the women most responsible for the club’s mystique.
The documentary series first premiered to critical acclaim at the SXSW Festival in 2024 and will make its STARZ debut this summer.
“When our family became the Majority Owners of The Atlanta Hawks, the Barneys were the very first people to welcome us to the city,” shared executive producer, Jami Gertz. “They reached out to us with open arms and that great southern hospitality, not to mention the fact that Juju Barney and my sons became fast friends. I am honored to be a part of bringing their family’s story to the world. It’s a tale of tremendous heart and hustle! And a true love letter to our adopted home of Atlanta, Georgia!”

JD Vance Allegedly Caught on Leaked Audio Blasting Elon Musk’s Influence: “He’s Not Even an American”

JD Vance is facing heat after a leaked audio recording allegedly revealed him expressing deep frustration over billionaire Elon Musk’s growing influence in American discourse, and it’s raising eyebrows across the political spectrum.
In the clip, Vance allegedly accuses the Tesla CEO of overstepping boundaries and acting like he’s a political leader, despite having no elected office. “Everything that he’s doing is getting criticized in the media, and he says that he’s helping, and he’s not,” Vance is heard saying. “He’s making us look bad. He’s making me look bad.”
But the remarks didn’t stop there. Vance called out Musk’s nationality, highlighting the tech mogul’s South African roots. “He wouldn’t like it if I said it, but he’s not even an American,” Vance said. “He is from South Africa, and he’s posing as this great American leader.”
The audio appears to have been recorded in a private setting, possibly among political peers, as Vance references being in a room with “portraits of some of the greatest men that ever lived in this country.” He continues, criticizing Musk’s public persona and influence: “He has the audacity to act like he is an elected official. I am an elected official. I am an important one in this situation, not him.”
Vance’s frustrations seem to boil over toward the end of the clip, even suggesting that Musk’s economic ventures, including his electric vehicles, should suffer consequences. “So if he wants to tank the economy and his cars, maybe that’s what he deserves.”
