#RHOA: Ms. Marlo Hampton wants to return to RHOA as a "Friend
Is Marlo missing coins? She wants to return back to Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Speaking on her latter spell on RHOA, Hampton told the Across Gen Podcast, the 48-year-old said:
“After 8 years, I finally got my peach. The world was happy. To fans of the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ that was a big deal. To be honest with you, I was not happy about it. I loved being a Friend. The show was in a bad place and don’t think I can just come and save the show. I came on with the originals. It was a different kind of show. A different time and age.
The show got dark. A lot of us didn’t have respect for each other. We went too far below the belt – including me. And a lot of the girls have never respected me. They hated my story and hated that I was sitting on the couch with them. I’ve been to jail before. I’m from 5 different foster homes. I’m from the hood. But [being there] is what God has my story to be.”
Asked if she would return to RHOA, Hampton surprisingly shared that she actively would want to be back in a limited “Friend” capacity. She said:
“Would I go back? If I go back, I want to go back as a friend. I would want [the peach] money. But I’m not big on a title. And I don’t know if it’s because of my upbringing. I’m big on getting the job done, being the best at my job, and getting paid. The title could be a janitor, but as long as I’m getting the money I want and need…I’m ok.”
Interesting! Would you want to see Ms. Hampton back on RHOA?

#MusicNews: In Memoriam, Peter Yarrow, Peter, Paul and Mary musician, dies at 86
Peter Yarrow, the titular Peter of 1960s folk group Peter, Paul and Mary, has died. His daughter issued a statement to the musician’s representatives (via Deadline), confirming that Yarrow had died today in New York City from bladder cancer. He was 86 years old.
“Our fearless dragon is tired and has entered the last chapter of his magnificent life,” his daughter Bethany wrote, referencing perhaps the group’s most famous song “Puff The Magic Dragon.” “The world knows Peter Yarrow the iconic folk activist, but the human being behind the legend is every bit as generous, creative, passionate, playful, and wise as his lyrics suggest.” Added bandmate Paul Stookey in his own statement, “I was five months older than Peter – who became my creative, irrepressible, spontaneous and musical younger brother – yet at the same time, I grew to be grateful for, and to love, the mature-beyond-his-years wisdom and inspiring guidance he shared with me like an older brother. Politically astute and emotionally vulnerable, perhaps Peter was both of the brothers I never had — and I shall deeply miss both of him.”

Politically astute and emotionally vulnerable, perhaps Peter was both of the brothers I never had — and I shall deeply miss both of him.”
Peter, Paul, and Mary broke through in 1962 with their rendition of “If I Had A Hammer (The Hammer Song)” and went on to score six top-ten hits over the course of the decade. Aside from “Puff The Magic Dragon,” the group’s biggest hits were a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ In The Wind” and their chart-topping “Leaving On A Jet Plane.”
Yarrow was born in Manhattan in 1938 and began creating music as a student at Columbia. In 1961, Peter, Paul and Mary was formed after an audition process by music manager Albert Grossman. They quickly became a known presence as the folk craze took hold in American pop music in the 1960s, releasing eight albums over the course of the decade, two of which topped the U.S. album chart.
In 1970, the group broke up to pursue solo careers. The same year, Yarrow admitted to and was convicted of molesting a 14 year old girl, serving about three months in jail. He was eventually pardoned in 1981 by President Jimmy Carter in the final hours of his presidency. In 2021, The Washington Post published an investigation on the subject, suggesting that this was the only time in U.S. history where a presidential pardon was used to wipe away a sexual conviction involving a child. The paper also reported that at least one other woman came forward in 2021, alleging Yarrow molested her in 1969.
In 1978, Peter, Paul, and Mary reunited for a tour, which proved successful enough to continue playing and touring as a group until Mary Travers’ death in 2009. Yarrow later appeared in Noah Baumbach’s 2015 film While We’re Young, and remained politically active, campaigning for President Barack Obama and lending support to the Occupy Wall Street movement.
#HipHopNews: Ye Accuses Adidas of Stealing His Designs and Oppression in Fiery Instagram Post
Ye is blasting Adidas in a fiery Instagram post where he accused the shoe giant of stealing his designs and oppression.
Following signs of a possible reconciliation last February, it looks like Ye still has smoke with the Three Stripes. On Tuesday (Jan. 7), Ye shared a post on IG that has a screenshot that shows the company is still selling its existing Yeezy inventory despite famously terminating Ye's partnership in 2022.
"When you google Yeezy.com the adidas site comes before the Yeezy site Members at adidas Stop doing this Stop doing your moves to hold me back Our partnership is done," Ye began in the lengthy caption, which can be seen in full below. "You’re a 60 billion dollar company that froze my accounts Now I’m back on my feet (no pun intended) and I’m not going to stand for this (no pun again) I did phenomenal work for you guys and because I stood up for myself yall tried to intimidate and oppress me everyone remembers I had major issues with adidas because of design theft and oppression before 'the tweet.'"
Ye continued, appearing to call out fashion designer Jerry Lorenzo for working with Adidas following the Ye fallout.
"Side note yall know Jerry was corny and disloyal for doing work with adidas after the way they handled things I still showed up to his show that was a copy of my Hollywood bowl show being the so called bigger man but I’m never doing that again for no one It’s Yeezy over everything," he added. "Everyone that ever took a picture next to me that had their own clothing lines and agendas everyone knows they was acting like they were my friends to promote they weak a*s fake Yeezy lines They never wanted to truly work for the king They wanted to use the king Get paid more than they would get paid anywhere else be yes man and be happy for any time I didn’t accomplish what 'we' were working towards Now they banished NO MORE HUGS Yeezy over everything."
Adidas parted ways with Ye in October of 2022 following a 10-year partnership after the rapper began spewing anti-Semitic rhetoric online and in interviews. The company took a major hit as a result and later decided to sell off its remaining Yeezy stock to recoup.
In September of 2023, Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden seemed to open the door for a possible reunion after he downplayed Ye's antics. He and Ye had a meeting the following February.

Stephen A. Smith hurt by news of Skip Bayless’ lawsuit
“His vice is a Diet Mountain Dew, and he doesn’t socialize with people,” Smith said on the Jan. 6 episode of his “Stephen A. Smith Show” podcast. “That’s the guy I know. So imagining him being in this kind of position is shocking, to say the least. All I could tell you is that it’s not the Skip Bayless I know.”
Noushin Faraji, a hairstylist at Fox Sports during Bayless’ employment there, filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles on Jan. 3. Faraji claimed that starting in 2017, he repeatedly made sexual approaches toward her, rubbing against her and giving her “lingering hugs” and “kissing on the cheek.” In 2021, she claimed he offered her $1.5 million for sex, and when she declined, he threatened to fire her.
“I can’t imagine it,” Smith said as he reflected on the accusations. “The Skip Bayless I know has a hard time giving away $15. He’s one of the cheapest people I know. That’s just me, but that doesn’t mean that I have any inside knowledge about any of this.”
Prior to Bayless leaving for Fox Sports 1, Smith and Bayless hosted together ESPN’s “First Take” from 2012 until 2016. Before declaring his departure from the network last year, he assisted in running the program “Undisputed” there. From 2012 until 2016, Smith and Bayless worked together as sports analysts on ESPN’s “First Take” before Bayless left for Fox Sports 1. He helped lead the show “Undisputed” on the network before announcing his resignation in 2024.
On his podcast, Smith said he doesn’t know Faraji in real life, but that in the last 24 hours he’d spoken to people who did know her or at least have “some knowledge about her” and told him that she’s “meticulous with her details.”
News of the suit was first reported by Front Office Sports, and they finally received a statement from Fox Sports.
“We take these allegations seriously,” the statement said, “and have no further comment at this time given this pending litigation.”
“I don’t know them; I know Skip,” he added. “I’m very, very heartbroken that he finds himself in this situation, being accused of these allegations. But I can’t be over the airwaves being irresponsible and attaching truth or … guilt to anything that I know nothing about.”

‘The Fall of Diddy’ Trailer Chronicles Disgraced Mogul’s Downfall: ‘We Did Not Realize the Extent of the Darkness’
The first trailer for Investigation Discovery’s upcoming four-part docuseries, The Fall of Diddy, dropped on Thursday morning (Jan. 9), with a preview of its effort to unpack disgraced mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ rise to global stardom and precipitous plunge amid dozens of allegations of sexual abuse, rape and assault.
“Spanning Combs’ decades-long impact on music and popular culture, from his early days as a talented creative to his 2024 arrest, the docuseries uncovers the insidious and terrifying allegations of sexual assault, abusive behavior, violence, and other disturbing claims that lay beneath his success,” reads a release about the series from Maxine Productions (Quiet on the Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV) with original reporting from Rolling Stone Films.

The series will air on Jan. 27 and Jan. 28 (from 9 to 11 p.m. ET on Investigation Discovery, later streaming on Max), promising to tell the story of Combs’ life from the perspective of those who, “saw his alleged violence and temper during his college days at Howard University and the onset of his career with Bad Boy Records, to those who knew him at the height of his influence and power in recent years.”
The 90-second trailer features a series of interviews from a number of music industry peers and artists attesting to the dark side of the Bad Boy Records founder, with many of the subjects revealing their previous long-held fears of speaking out about the once-powerful music impresario. “I’ve been quiet for 18 years,” says an unseen woman in voiceover at the top of the trailer. “I am absolutely nervous sharing what I’ve seen,” she adds, as a man says, “I can no long just remain silent.” Former VIBE editor-in-Chief Danyel Smith — speaking for the first time on camera about Diddy’s alleged violent behavior toward her — adds, “This is where I’m supposed to be.”
The first glimpse intercuts scenes from Diddy’s glory years in the 1990s with somber shots of the many Combs insiders and industry figures interviewed in the series, which will include former Danity Kane singer D. Woods, as well as Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who has accused Diddy of sexual harassment. In addition, the doc will include comments from journalist Cheyenne Roundtree, former bodyguard Roger Bonds, former personal chef Jourdan Cha-Taun and former driver Wardel Fenderson (who speaks for the first time and testified about Combs’ attempt to bribe him), in addition to Thalia Graves, a woman who has alleged that Combs violently raped her in 2001 and threatened her into silence.
“Through these interviews combined with a vast collection of archival footage, The Fall of Diddy paints a holistic picture of a mogul who is alleged to have wielded his extensive power and influence to obscure, for decades, a pattern of abuse and violence that left an unprecedented amount of pain and suffering in his wake,” reads the statement.
In a particularly harrowing soundbite, Jones recalls Diddy allegedly saying, “I’m Puff Daddy, I’ll eat your face off!”
The trailer includes the now-infamous 2016 footage of Diddy running down a hotel hallway in just a towel in pursuit of longtime ex-girlfriend singer Cassie before he appears to assault her in an incident caught on surveillance footage. Cassie sued Combs in November 2023 over allegations that he repeatedly physically abused her over a decade during their relationship, including claims he raped her and forced her to “engage in sex acts with male sex workers” as he masturbated; the lawsuit was settled a day after it was filed, with the terms kept secret.

Last July, in an emotional New York Times personal essay, Smith opened up for the first time about Diddy’s alleged harassment and intimidation of her in the late 1990s. It included a scene from a 2015 party — six months before the assault in the hotel video — where Cassie shakily asked her “How are you doing it?” Smith, who said she’d also been a victim of sexual assault, said she replied, “doing what?,” to which Cassie added, “like, how are you managing?”
“We each wanted to say something. It seemed that neither of us could find the words,” Smith wrote.
Combs, 55, is currently in federal custody after being denied bail three times as he awaits trial on counts of sex trafficking and racketeering in a federal case that is slated to begin on May 5; he has pleaded not guilty to the charges that could land him a life sentence if he’s convicted. He is also facing more than two dozen lawsuits from people accusing him of drugging, raping, assaulting and intimidating victims, with attorneys for some of the victims saying they are representing at least 120 other alleged victims; Combs had denied all the allegations.
“We did not realize the extent of the darkness,” says one of the interview subjects in the trailer. Another Diddy doc, the 90-minute Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, will debut on Peacock on Jan. 14.

Beyonce’s mother’s beach house in Galveston foreclosed on, taken by bank
Beyoncé's mother's Galveston beach house sustained significant damage during Hurricane Ike in 2008.
The city deemed the property a public safety hazard, leading to a years-long legal battle.
The house was recently foreclosed on after failing to attract any bids at auction.
After years of back and forth, the City of Galveston is taking action on Beyonce's mom's beach house.
The house, owned by Tina Knowles, was damaged during Hurricane Ike in 2008 and city officials eventually deemed the home a public safety hazard.
On December 6, a notice for demolition of the structure was issued.
Now, we've confirmed the home was foreclosed on.
The house went to auction Tuesday. But no one made a high enough bid, so it was taken by the bank.
Neighbors said they're relieved.

BET To Revamp ‘106 & Park’ Ahead Of The Show’s 25-Year Anniversary
BET is currently working on a reboot of 106 & Park, the popular music video countdown series that once stood as a cornerstone of the network’s programming throughout the ’00s.
During an appearance on The Breakfast Club morning show, BET President and CEO Scott Mills touched on the show’s enduring legacy and the network’s plans to bring back 106 & Park, albeit packaged for the online and digital age.
“We understand people love 106 & Park,” Mills, who was appointed President of BET in 2017 before assuming CEO duties in 2021, said while speaking of a potential revival.
“The fact that it doesn’t work as a linear television show doesn’t mean it’s over,” he added. “We can bring 106 & Park back as a podcast. We can bring back 106 & Park back as a digital experience.”
According to Mills, a revamped version of 106 & Park is expected to be unveiled sometime this year and will likely coincide with BET’s celebration of the 25-year anniversary of the show’s launch back in 2000.
“We are evolving what 106 & Park will look like in 2025 because it does have that very important role,” he explained. “We’ve got a number of really exciting executions. We’re approaching the 25th anniversary of 106 & Park as well, so there’ll be some things that y’all will really be excited about.”
Debuting on Sept. 11, 2000, 106 & Park remained on-air until 2014 and ran for a total of 3,710 episodes. R&B star Chloe Bailey, who was a guest host on The Breakfast Club during Mills’ visit, touched on 106 & Park‘s impact and influence.
“For me, I grew up loving 106 & Park,” Bailey said of the landmark show. “I think I can speak for everyone of my generation, that was the show for me to be inspired, to get excited, that was it.
“I’d run home from school and that’s what I would put on. So I was used to seeing people who looked like me, who were succeeding in a field that I wanted to succeed in one day. So BET has always had a special place in my heart.”

Nelly And Ashanti Docuseries Headed To Peacock
According to Deadline, the married couple is currently filming a docuseries for Peacock that will give fans an inside look at their lives. Reportedly, filming started several months ago with production by Critical Content (Netflix’s Sly and MTV’s Catfish). The new series will feature both stars as executive producers under their legal names, Cornell and Ashanti Haynes.
Nelly, 50, and Ashanti, 44, rekindled their romance in 2023 after dating from 2003 to 2013. By April 2024, Ashanti announced she was expecting their first child, a baby boy born in July, and the couple quietly tied the knot in December 2023.
This docuseries will be a first-of-its-kind for Ashanti, as the “Country Grammar” rapper starred in BET’s 2014 unscripted series, Nellyville.
The show—titled after his 2002 album—profiled Nelly as a rapper and much more, while also highlighting him as a father raising children Chanelle and Cornell Jr., and taking in his late sister’s children: Sydney and Lil Shawn.
Nellyville also gave a glimpse into Nelly’s entrepreneurial and mentor side, and documented his relationship with ex-girlfriend, Shantel Jackson.
Since the public announcement of a rekindled romance with the Grammy-winning singer, many have pointed out how much “happier” he appears with Ashanti. Although Nelly has never addressed those assumptions, he did speak very highly of his wife to Entertainment Tonight.
“She’s a great person, she’s a great mother,” he gushed about Ashanti. “Even when it comes to doing this—having birthday parties and things like that. So to have that person with you, it’s like, ‘yeah, that’s it.’”
Ashanti added, “It’s priceless, honestly, just to have my soulmate, like my person, like my best friend, like my protector. The universe doesn’t make mistakes. I don’t tell him all the time, but I’ve learned a lot about… just being grateful, graceful, and giving people grace. Being open minded and level headed and not too emotional.”

Amidst his ongoing Las Vegas residency, 50 Cent has found himself at the center of controversy due to a viral TikTok review that criticized his show. The reviewer claimed the audio was poor, the hype men were louder than 50 Cent, and his stage presence seemed disinterested.
The video sparked discussions among fans and detractors alike, with some agreeing with the critic's assessment while others defended 50 Cent.
In response to the criticism, 50 Cent addressed the issues during a recent residency performance with his signature humor. "[They] supposed to say some s**t like, '50 be doing this s**t,' " he said. "That's what I'ma do. You won't say the music was bad."
He also poked fun at other performers' elaborate stage antics, "What, you thought I was going to be out here roller-blading like Usher and s**t? I seen some s**t, Chris Brown was flying in Africa. I don't have records that require me to fly in Africa."
Despite the criticism, the six-day run, launched on December 27, reportedly earned 50 Cent a staggering $15 million. The residency features a mix of his greatest hits and deeper cuts, along with elements of his entrepreneurial endeavors.
Celebrities such as Amanda Bynes and Danielle Fishel attended the show while T-Pain, DaBaby, and Jeremih made appearances as surprise guests. As for his adversary Ja Rule, he mocked 50 Cent over the negative review.
As the residency is still ongoing, it remains to be seen how history will judge 50 Cent's Las Vegas run. However, the controversy and humor it has generated have undoubtedly made it a memorable experience for fans and observers alike.
Additionally, 50 Cent has other ventures on the horizon, including a potential collaborative album with Eminem, adding to the anticipation and intrigue surrounding his future endeavors.

The Pacific Palisades fire, which started amidst a severe windstorm on Tuesday, January 7, has burned over 15,000 acres and destroyed more than 1,000 structures. One of the many victims of this tragedy is actor Billy Crystal, who has confirmed that his home of more than four decades, where he and his wife Janice raised their children and grandchildren, has been reduced to ashes.
In a heartfelt statement shared with PEOPLE and CNN, Crystal said, "Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing. We ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy."
Reflecting on the memories created in their home since 1979, he added, "Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can't be taken away."
Despite their loss, Crystal remained hopeful, emphasizing the strength of the Pacific Palisades community. "We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this. We pray for the safety of the firefighters and first responders. The Pacific Palisades is a resilient community of amazing people and we know in time it will rise again. It is our home," the actor stated.
Crystal is not the only celebrity to have suffered from these devastating fires. The blaze has also claimed the homes of James Woods, Diane Warren, Paris Hilton, Denise Crosby, Cary Elwes, Paris Hilton, Anna Faris, Adam Brody, Miles Teller, Anthony Hopkins, and Eugene Levy, among others.
Woods, who broke down in tears during an interview with CNN, described the chaos as "an inferno," while Warren shared on Instagram a picture of her lost beach house, finding solace in the safety of the animals at her rescue ranch.
The fires, which have prompted the closure of iconic landmarks such as the TLC Chinese Theater and the Magic Castle, have claimed the lives of at least five people, with hundreds more affected. The Los Angeles County Fire Department has confirmed that many of the current wildfires are 0% contained.
As the fires continue to rage, the outpouring of support and community solidarity offers a glimmer of hope. Many, like Crystal, remain determined to rebuild and support each other through this harrowing time. The strength of the affected communities, coupled with the relentless efforts of first responders and firefighters, provides a beacon of resilience amid the devastation.

Donald Trump & Barack Obama Share Laughs During Conversation At Jimmy Carter’s Funeral In D.C.
It looks like President-elect Donald Trump is on friendly terms with former President Barack Obama.
The two politicians shared smiles and laughs while sitting next to each other at Jimmy Carter’s funeral in Washington, D.C., earlier today (Jan. 9), causing “poor Obama” to briefly trend on X.
The sighting seems to suggest that Trump may have had a change of heart toward Obama, as he has heavily criticized the 44th president in the past over his political choices and even questioned whether Obama is a true American citizen.
