American model fired after speaking about 'passionate'
relationship with Gaddafi's son
The Italian-American ex-girlfriend of Mutassim Gaddafi has
been fired from her lucrative role as the face of an international
telecommunications company for speaking about her passionate love affair with
the Libyan dictator's son.
23-year-old model Vanessa Hessler, who spent much
of her childhood in Washington, DC, told Italian magazine Diva e Donna that she
had spent four years with Mutassim Gaddafi and that their relationship had been
a 'very beautiful love story.'
The 34-year-old died with his father outside
the city of Sirte on October 21, bringing to an end Muammar Gaddafi's 42-year
regime.
The blonde model, who was born in Italy, said in the interview: 'I
didn't have any contact with him since the uprising broke out, but our
relationship was one of passion.'
Ms Hessler, who has appeared in campaigns
for Georgio Armani, Calvin Klein and L'Oreal and has acted in several Italian TV
shows, went on to say that she feels for the people of Libya.
'We, France and the United Kingdom, financed the rebels but
people don't know what they are doing.
'The Gaddafi family is not how they
are being depicted, they are normal people,' she told the magazine.
Officials
initially said that Colonel Gaddafi's fifth son was killed in a gun battle
during the final push on Sirte in October. Conflicting accounts describe his
capture after attempting to escape the city with his father.
Grainy images
prove that he was indeed captured alive, but events leading to his death remain
unclear. Just hours later, photos emerged of an apparently dead Mutassim, his
neck and chest mortally wounded.
Chillingly at odds with the playboy image of
the leader's son, his bruised and bloody body was moved to a makeshift morgue in
Misrata where it lay for public viewing until an unceremonious dawn burial in an
unmarked grave on October 25.
The model's largest client, German firm Telefonica, reacted to
Ms Hessler's comments immediately, publicly announcing the end of the business
relationship by tweet.
A spokesman for the company wrote on Twitter:
'Vanessa Hessler’s relationships are private business. However we cannot accept
her comments on the Lybia [sic] conflict.'
Ms Hessler had been a household
figure in Germany, France and Italy, where she is publicly known as 'Alice,'
after gracing TV and billboard advertisements as the face of the multinational's
Alice internet service.
Telefonica's Albert Fetsch said yesterday that
'Vanessa Hessler has failed to distance herself from her comments on the
conflict in Libya' and that the model's face would be removed from the company's
site within 24 hours.
Fans on the model's Facebook page seemed undeterred by
her support of the dictator's family, heaping praise on her for 'speaking
honestly' and 'standing up for her beliefs.'
Many users, however, echo
Telefonica's position, weighing in with their criticism of the model's poorly
judged comments.
One, Lance VanOvermeiren, said: 'This man and his family
murdered hundreds of thousands of people... disgusting...'

Another, R. Gerrit Vanderwest, wrote on her Facebook wall:
'Anyone who thinks the Qaddafi family is normal ignores the well-documented,
long, tawdry, and criminal history of a tyrant.'

'Gadhafi's family, normal? I can understand you loved his son, but you need a
serious reality check, woman!'
Glamorous: Another of Mutassim's
ex-girlfriends, Talitha van Zon, was pictured arriving in Malta in August after
escaping from Tripoli
Born to an American father and an Italian mother, Ms
Hessler moved to Washington, DC, when she was eight, returning to Italy to
pursue a modelling career in 2002.
It is not known how she came to meet the
Libyan despot's son, or when the couple were together.
A known womaniser, Mutassim Gaddafi had a string of model
girlfriends, including Talitha van Zon, who fled Libya in August after claiming
that rebel soldiers had threatened to burn her alive.
Ms van Zon's portrayal of the playboy contrasts starkly to
the 'normal people' described by Ms Hessler.
Dutch Playboy cover star, Ms van Zon, dated Mutassim Gaddafi
for three months in 2004 and had partied with the whiskey-lover the night before
a Nato-led air attack on Tripoli in August.
Escaping with her life by leaping
from a balcony after being ambushed, the injured model told the Telegraph that
on her latest visit to Libya, Mutassim's eyes were 'cold,' and that he looked
capable of 'killing someone.'
Mutassim's playboy lifestyle was infamous - Ms
van Zon said he had once told her how much his lavish way of life cost.
'I
asked him once how much he spent, and he took a minute to add it up in his head.
He said ''about $2 million''. I said ''you mean a year?'' He said ''no – a
month."'
She told the newspaper that Mutassim was power-hungry, idolising
leaders such as Adolf Hitler, Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro, and recalled how he
longed for that kind of success.
Instead, he spent his life in the shadow of
his older brother, Saif, who many considered to be Gaddafi's heir.

Jessica White only recently announced her engagement but it
appears she won't be making it to the altar.
Jessica White’s surprise engagement has already been
dissolved, we’re told. According to sources, model White is telling friends that
her engagement to British banker Bruce DeWitt “is over.” The lingerie model and
Maybelline spokeswoman broke the news of her engagement last month by flashing
her giant ring on the red carpet at Beyoncé’s perfume launch party at the Dream
Downtown hotel. Friends of White, who previously dated Sean Penn and Terrell
Owens, told us at the time that the couple “want to get married as soon as
possible.” A rep for White couldn’t be reached for comment by press
time.

R&B beauty Alicia Keys lent some of her time and talents

Are Diamond and Souljah back together? Recently the femcee

for a simple “:)” and “;) ITS A PHOTOSHOOT”. Judging from the pics it looks like

Tito Jackson Battled Michael’s Security Over
Drug Problem
*Two of Michael Jackson’s siblings say they tried to intervene
to prevent his drug abuse but could not get close to their brother because of
his security team.
Tito and Rebbie Jackson said Tuesday the family was aware of
Michael’s drug problem, reports the AP. Tito Jackson says his late brother’s
security team acted as if he was the President of the United States and kept his
entire family away. He says he got into physical fights with security personnel
and was sometimes barred from his brother’s gated property.
The two Jacksons
are in London to promote Wednesday’s premiere of a documentary about his
life.
Their mother Katherine Jackson canceled her trip to London to
attend the final days of the Los Angeles trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, accused of
manslaughter in the pop star’s death.

Awards Lineup
The list of performers for the 2011 American Music Awards has
just received a much needed boost of excitement as Chris Brown has been named as
one of the ceremony’s featured entertainers. Set to air live on November 20th at
8pm ET on ABC, the event will also include a showing from LMFAO.
Brown has been nominated for two trophies for the 2011 AMA –
Favourite Soul Rhythm & Blues Album for ‘F.A.M.E.’ and Favourite Male Soul
Rhythm & Blues Artist. He has joined the ranks of Nicki Minaj, Justin
Bieber, Katy Perry, David Guetta and Pitbull as this year’s headlining acts.
Furthermore, Mary J. Blige was listed to perform at the show last
week.
Interestingly, Latin crooner Marc Anthony has been named as one of the
performers at the 2011 AMA. Meanwhile, his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, is also

Ricky Ross claims he’s Diabetes, Heart
Issues & HIV Free Just needed to get some sleep?
Rapper Rick Ross has claimed lack of sleep caused his
seizures.
The star was hospitalised twice in the space of a day after he
tried to travel to a show a fortnight ago.
And now he has spoke out to try
and explain his medical issues.
He said: 'It was a case of me not getting
enough rest, enough sleep.'
He made the claim on BET's 106 & Park.
He
also said his doctors tested him for cancer, diabetes, HIV and more, but the
tests revealed he is 'totally healthy.'
Last month the internet was abuzz
with rumours he had died after the news broke that he had been hospitalized due
to the serious seizures.
Ross, 35, was hospitalized twice for seizures as he
tried to travel to Memphis for a show which he ended up never
performing.
Ross was taken to an Alabama hospital after losing
consciousness mid flight, again according to TMZ.
He suffered another
episode yesterday on a flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Memphis, which
had to be diverted.
His entourage jumped out of their seats to alert plane
personnel - at which point a doctor on board administered CPR on the
rapper.
The plane immediately made an emergency landing.
However, after
being rushed to hospital, Ross was later released and reported to be '100%
okay,' and even tweeted from the airport, writing: 'Memphis here I come.'
He
then posted a video of himself boarding the private jet and a message to fans
promoting his forthcoming album.
But shortly after, the plane was diverted and landed in
Alabama after Rick had a seizure on board.
It has been reported that drink
and drugs were not the reason for the attacks.

taken to Broward County Medical Centre via ambulance
50 Cent, who has been
engaged in an ongoing feud with Ross since 2009, tweeted about his rival's
episode yesterday.

Ross referenced 50, then made a mock funeral of the G Unit rapper in his music

Meanwhile, 50 Cent has gone as far as to call out Rick Ross
based on his background as a correctional officer.

Cuba Gooding Jr., Tuskegee Airmen to Share
Parade Float
*Organizers of New York City’s Veterans Day Parade say actor
Cuba Gooding Jr. will ride on a float with members of the Tuskegee
Airmen.
Gooding stars in an upcoming movie called “Red Tails,” about the
legendary airmen, America’s first black fighter pilot group in World War
II.
The United War Veterans Council announced Monday the “Jerry Maguire”
actor will join several surviving members for the annual parade.
It was previously announced five Congressional Medal of Honor
recipients will march in the Nov. 11 parade up Manhattan’s Fifth
Avenue.
Those medal recipients include Marine Corps veteran Dakota Meyer.
President Barack Obama recently awarded Meyer the nation’s top military honor
after he saved 36 lives with repeated charges into Taliban gunfire in an
Afghanistan battle.

Gucci Mane Still in Jail After Being Denied
Sentence Reduction
Gucci Mane won’t be getting out of jail early, or anytime soon
for that matter. (Somebody please let Waka Flocka know!)
The “Lemonade” rapper appeared in court on Friday and was
denied a reduction in his jail sentence stemming from an incident back in
January when he pushed a woman out of his vehicle after she declined his offer
to pay her for sex.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Davis’
attorneys attempted to get his sentence cut in half by offering to have the
31-year-old emcee stage a concert on behalf of the DeKalb County Battered
Women’s Shelter.
But DeKalb State Court Judge Eleanor Ross was not moved,
saying, “I don’t think it would be appropriate to let him out just because he’s
a rapper.”
Gucci has also been hit with a civil suit from the victim, who
identified him by that retarded ice cream cone tattoo on his face.
“He
thinks the rules don’t apply to him,” the victim’s attorney stated.

Black Eye Peas Win Boom Boom Pow
Lawsuit
The Black Eyed Peas have won a long running legal battle over
their hit track Boom Boom Pow.
The band was issued with a lawsuit last year
(10) from musician Phoenix Phenom, who alleged the 2009 track used parts of her
song Boom Dynamite, which she claims to have submitted to the Black Eyed Peas'
Interscope Records label.
Phenom - real name Ebony Latrice Batts - and her
associate Manfred Mohr filed suit, accusing the group of copyright infringement,
and the case went to court in California last week (ends23Oct11).
U.S. District Judge John F. Walter ruled in favour of the band
and issued a summary judgment on Friday (23Oct11), insisting a jury would
struggle to find any "substantial similarity of ideas and expression," according
to Allhiphop.com.

Fresh off of a full day of filming, Blake Lively got all
glammed up to join designer Christian Louboutin for his cocktail party and book
launch event in New York City.
