Zendaya covers Hype Harir Magazine Sept Issue!

Actress Zendaya is on the cover of Hype Hair’s Sept issue. The magazine says that she is a force to be reckoned with, and has garnered the respect and love of many in the hair, beauty and fashion industries. In fact, in just a few short years, Zendaya has managed to nab several major deals with many of the most cutting edge and innovative brands in the world!

So, they’re glad to have her grace the cover of Hype Hair magazine’s September 2016 issue. Inside, they highlight the beauty chameleon’s partnerships with such industry heavyweights as CoverGirl, Material Girl and CHI.

R.H.o.A: Kandi Burruss Has a Touching Tribute for Aaliyah on the 15th Anniversary of Her Death

Fifteen years after Aaliyah tragically passed away in a plane crash at the age of 22 on August 25, 2001, the world hasn't forgotten about her influence on the music industry, as well as her friendship. 

Kandi Burruss paid tribute to Aaliyah on Instagram Friday morning with a touching throwback pic of herself with the R&B singer, as well as rapper Foxy Brown. "I've always loved this pic," Kandi captioned the photo.

Of course, Aaliyah had many famous friends who continue to carry on her legacy today, including Beyoncé, who posted a sweet video of the pair gushing about how "fine" D'Angelo is during a red carpet appearance on Instagram Thursday.

Luckily, Aaliyah's music lives on in some unreleased tracks, her frequent collaborator Timbaland revealed during his appearance on Watch What Happens Live last November.

#EMPIRE: Phylicia Rashad Joins ‘Empire’ Season 3

Phylicia Rashad has been cast in the third season of “Empire,” joining the growing slate of prominent guest stars.

“The Cosby Show” alum will recur as Diana Dubois, a powerhouse from one of New York’s oldest and most prominent African-American families, and the on-screen mother of Taye Diggs, who will portray an ambitious city councilman, Angelo Dubois. Diana (Rashad) has her sights set on higher office for her only son and she’ll stop at nothing to groom him. Her interactions with Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), Lucious (Terrence Howard) and the rest of the Lyon clan will lay bare the stark class divides that can exist, even within the black community.

Rashad joins other previously announced “Empire” guest stars, including Mariah Carey, Sierra McClain, French Montana and Birdman.

Rashad famously starred on “The Cosby Show” as Bill Cosby’s TV wife, Clair Huxtable. In more recent years, she had had television roles on NBC’s short-lived “Do No Harm,” USA Network’s “Psych” and Lifetime’s “Steel Magnolias.”

“Empire” returns to Fox on Sept. 21 at 9 p.m

New Music: Usher – ‘Missin U’ + ‘Champions’

With the news that Usher has changed the title of his eighth studio album to Hard II Love, and it has gone up for pre-order, two brand new records have been released as well.

The first, “Missin U,” is a bass heavy banger, where the R&B star rides the beat while singing out about his desire to reunite with his lady, who has him entranced in her beauty.

“I mean everybody wants somebody that’s got confidence,” he says in the intro. “You know it’s in her attitude, the way she walks, nice legs, she’s got to be beautiful.”  The song uniquely segues in between a hard club banger and sweet, contemporary love song.

The second track is “Champions,” from the film Hands of Stone, which Usher co-stars in as legendary boxer Sugar Ray Leonard. This one is an empowering ballad that switches between English and Spanish, as a duel kind of duet between Usher and actor Édgar Ramírez, who portrays the films leading character, boxer Roberto Durán.

“I’ll fight for my country / You’ll fight for your country / We see the victory, they’ll get the victory / Man to man and heart to heart / Face to face, but worlds apart,” he sings.

Hands of Stone lands in theaters on Friday (Aug. 26). Usher’s eighth studio album Hard II Love is set to be released on September 16.

New Hip Hop Video: Jeezy Feat. 2 Chainz & Future – ‘Magic City Monday’

Jeezy turns “Magic City Monday” into a night out at the strip club in the video for his 2 Chainz and Future collaboration.

Filmed at famed Atlanta gentlemen’s club Magic City, the Snowman and Tity Boi make it rain throughout, joined by a crew of their pals including Trey Songz.

“We ain’t playing about this money,” raps Jeezy. “Feel like a Magic City Monday.”

While Hairweave Killer and Trigga join Jeezy at the club, Future wasn’t able to make it. Instead, he Skypes in through the club’s televisions.

SADNESS: Actor Gene Wilder Dies At Age 83

Gene Wilder, who regularly stole the show in such comedic gems as “The Producers,” “Blazing Saddles,” “Young Frankenstein,” “Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and “Stir Crazy,” died Monday at his home in Stamford, Conn. His nephew Jordan Walker-Pearlman said he died of complications from Alzheimer’s disease. He was 83. He had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 1989.

The comic actor, who was twice Oscar nominated, for his role in “The Producers” and for co-penning “Young Frankenstein” with Mel Brooks, usually portrayed a neurotic who veered between total hysteria and dewy-eyed tenderness. “My quiet exterior used to be a mask for hysteria,” he told Time magazine in 1970. “After seven years of analysis, it just became a habit.”

Well him and Gilda are now reunited again…*sheds tears* R..I.P Gene and Thank You!

SADNESS: Latavia Roberson Reveals She Lost Her Unborn Baby Girl Due To Complications

Remember when former Destiny' Child star Latavia Roberson was rushed to the hospital for pregnancy complications, she stayed mum about the validity.  She was reportedly fighting for her life and the life of the baby. Now, we know it was true.

The singer turned TV One reality star shared the news about losing her baby girl late last night saying:

Hey lovers! I do truly appreciate every prayer and everything positive that was sent my way. I was, in fact, in the hospital. And during that time, unfortunately, I lost my daughter but MY GOD never makes mistakes. Thank you for your ongoing prayers! I know my angel is watching over our family!!! I love you all

Her first born, Lyric Richardson, just recently had her first day of school

Beyoncé & Jay Z Dine In NYC With Kanye, Kim Kardashian, Diddy, Cassie, Alicia Keys And Swizz Beatz After The VMA's

It was a star-studded affair as Beyoncé, Jay Z, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Diddy, Cassie, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz and Steve Stoute and his wife, Lauren Branche, dined at Pasquale Jones following the VMAs.

They were all smiles as they snapped a photo from inside the restaurant the NYC restaurant. “Family Zone,” Swizz captioned the photo as he shared it on Instagram. Good times!

Alison Carey, Mariah Carey’s Sister, Reportedly Arrested On Prostitution Charge In New York

Alison Carey, the older sister of R&B diva Mariah Carey, was arrested for prostitution at a hotel in Saugerties, New York, on Friday, The Daily Freeman reports.

Carey, 55, was arrested by Saugerties police after they underwent an undercover investigation looking into allegations of prostitution against her, according to The Daily Freeman. Described as “transient” by police, Carey reportedly solicited money in exchange for sexual favors from a police officer who was undercover as a client.

Carey told police she was the “Obsessed” singer’s sister after she was arrested, police chief Joseph Sinagra told the Daily Freeman. A source told People the sisters have been estranged “for years,” and according to Woman’s Day New Zealand, their conflict is a result of Carey’s attempt to publish a tell-all book about Mariah.

Sinagra said that the police were investigating Carey after receiving a tip about her online advertisements promoting her services. The Daily Freeman reports one ad contained two photos of Carey along with the following message, which references Mariah’s “Fantasy.”

Carey reportedly posted two other ads earlier this summer, according to the Daily Freeman. She was also arrested for prostitution back in 2005.

Following the most recent arrest, Sinagra urged any individuals who may have had a sexual encounter (especially unprotected) with Carey to get checked out for sexually transmitted infections. According to Us Weekly and Heavy.com, Carey is HIV-positive.

Carey was arraigned in Saugerties Town Court and sent to Ulster County Jail. Her bail is currently set at $1,000 and she is expected to appear in court in Aug. 30.

Huma Abedin Announces Separation From Husband Anthony Weiner

Hillary Clinton's longtime aide Huma Abedin will separate from her husband, disgraced former New York congressman Anthony Weiner, following a report in the New York Post suggesting he had fallen back into his sexting habit.

"After long and painful consideration and work on my marriage, I have made the decision to separate from my husband," Abedin said in a statement. "Anthony and I remain devoted to doing what is best for our son, who is the light of our life. During this difficult time, I ask for respect for our privacy."

Idris Elba’s “Dark Tower”: New Photos Are Here!

Giving fans a little teaser, Sony Pictures just rolled out a new batch of official photos from “The Dark Tower,” slated to hit theaters on February 17th, 2017.

Starring Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey, Abbey Lee, Katheryn Winnick, Claudia Kiim and Fran Kranz, the forthcoming project is already getting all kinds of industry buzz.

Per the synopsis, “The Dark Tower series tells the story of Roland Deschain, Mid-World’s last gunslinger, who is traveling southeast across Mid-World’s post-apocalyptic landscape, searching for the powerful but elusive magical edifice known as The Dark Tower. Located in the fey region of End-World, amid a sea of singing red roses, the Dark Tower is the nexus point of the time-space continuum. It is the heart of all worlds, but it is also under threat. Someone, or something, is using the evil technology of the Great Old Ones to destroy it.”

#RHoA: Is Cynthia Bailey leaving ‘RHoA?’

Rumors have it that “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey may be turning in her Georgia Peach.

Now that she has officially filed for divorce from her husband of six years, Peter Thomas, and now that Thomas has forged business ties with Nene Leakes, and now that the couple have not been living together for the past several months – living in different states – Bailey is starting manufacture an existence outside of the probing, unforgiving RHOA cameras, according to Tamara Tattles.

Bailey has has moved to a secluded lake home, outside of Atlanta, with plans to leave the region and the show altogether, the blog asserts.

Further proving the point is the fact that Bailey has put her home she shared with Bailey up for sale and moved into a home on the lake with a paradise view.

She’s also been in Los Angeles much more often, helping her daughter get acclimated to the entertainment environs over the summer. Word has it that she is even considering moving herself and Noelle in with her ex and Noelle’s father Leon so they can co-parent and guide Noelle through the industry as a team.

#EMPIRE: Season 3 Alert! Taye Diggs Joins Empire Season 3 in Major Barack Obama-Infused Role

Wait until Cookie gets a load of that million-watt smile.

Taye Diggs has signed on for a major recurring role on Fox’s Empire, TVLine has learned. The Private Practice vet will first appear in the Fox drama’s Sept. 21 Season 3 premiere as Angelo Dubois, a city councilman hailing from a respected and affluent New York family.

With his pedigree and a Harvard law diploma, Diggs’ Angelo could have made a fortune in the private sector. Instead, he is ruled by his sense of noblesse oblige, and focuses his energies on community organizing and local politics, inviting comparisons to Barack Obama.

Diggs, who is currently starring in TNT’s anthology drama  Murder in the First, joins a Season 3 guest roster that also includes singer Sierra McClain, rapper French Montana and music mogul Birdman (as himself). As TVLine scooped last month, rapper-actor Xzibit — who joined Empire last season as Lucious’ drug-dealin’, music-makin’ adversary Shyne Johnson — has been promoted to a series regular.

New Music: India Arie Releases New Song/Video “Continue To Breathe”

In such racially-charged times, it seems many artists are breaking their silence and speaking out about social injustice.

India.Arie is the latest to raise her voice with regards to #BlackLivesMatter. Though the soul singer hasn’t released an album in nearly three years, with a heavy heart, she shared her feelings about what’s going on with a brand new song, “Continue to Breathe.”

Debuting the song by way of a video that features her guitarist and a number of friends, “Continue to Breathe” isn’t about reassurance. It’s not necessarily about instilling hope. Rather, Arie just wants people to know that, as life goes on, so, too, must they continue to be strong.

“So much injustice in this life, and it happens right on your TV screen,” India sings, with her friends serving as a makeshift backup choir on the song’s soulful chorus. It’s therapy to the sound of an acoustic guitar, and it reminds listeners to persevere in the trying times. All they can do, whether holding down the ones who came before or trying to keep their heads up for the generation to come, is keep breathing and keep marching.

New Hip Hop: New Music: Fetty Wap – ‘Dip Dip (Freestyle)’

Fetty Wap takes on 21 Savage. Inspired by Savage’s “Dip Dip” smash, Zoovier delivers a new freestyle over the menacing beat.

Fetty sends a shot at the haters and some love to his fam. “Count the Zoovie out, boy, I still remain strong,” he raps. “Did it for my family, then I put the gang on.” Then, Wap reinterprets 21’s original hook, putting his own touch on the track.

Taylor Swift's Lawyer Threatened Kanye West Over Secret Phone Recording

Taylor Swift had her lawyer threaten Kanye West with criminal prosecution after learning his wife Kim Kardashian had recorded their phone conversation without permission.

The Shake It Off hitmaker has been left fuming after Kim shared a series of videos on her Snapchat page on Sunday night (July 17), in which Taylor can be heard on loudspeaker discussing a controversial line in Kanye's song Famous with the rapper.

In the footage, Kanye tells Swift he wanted to call her as a "friend" and get her opinion on the lyrics, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex..." The singer can be heard calling it "a compliment".

However, when the track was made public in February (16), Taylor's representatives slammed claims suggesting the star had approved her shout-out, which included the boast, "I made that b**ch famous" - a reference to Kanye's infamous stage invasion at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when he interrupted Swift's acceptance speech to protest her win.

Kim's Snapchat reveal aimed to prove Taylor had lied about having no knowledge of the tune beforehand, prompting the 26-year-old to fire back via Instagram on Monday (18Jul16), insisting she was unaware of the fact Kanye would be calling her a "b**ch".

Now editors at TMZ.com have obtained a legal missive from Taylor's lawyer, who contacted Kanye's attorney in February (16) and demanded the hip-hop star destroy any evidence of the phone call, because it was recorded in secret - a violation of California law. Sources reveal the conversation took place while the Stronger rapper was in a recording studio in Los Angeles.

The letter states: "Demand is hereby made that you immediately destroy all such recordings, provide us of assurance that this has been done, and also assurance that these recordings have not been previously disseminated."

It is not known if Kanye's attorney responded to the warning, but it's clear the rapper and his reality star wife paid little attention to the legal threat.

Secretly taping a phone conversation without warning is considered a felony in California.

Taylor still reserves the right to sue Kanye and Kim over the violation of privacy.

JUST MARRIED: Tatyana Ali Weds Dr. Vaughn Rasberry In Beverly Hills Nuptials!

37-Year-Old actress Tatyana Ali walked down the aisle Sunday afternoon in a custom-made Amsale gown over her cute baby bump.  She married her man of two years, Dr. Vaughn Rasberry, in front of 120 guests at the Four Seasons.

"It was truly a magical and heartfelt ceremony," Michael Russo, Ali’s wedding planner, told ET. "Tatyana was glowing as she walked down the aisle." The ceremony also included Caribbean touches to pay tribute to her roots.

Tatyana previously revealed she met her Stanford professor groom on eHarmony.

Rumored Reggie Bush Sidechick Joins Basketball Wives LA

Basketball Wives LA has recruited a few new faces but one, especially, comes with an interesting past. January Gessert, one of the show's newest cast members, is rumored to have been the woman involved in the inevitable break up between Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian back in 2010. Allegedly Reggie was cheating with January while he was dating Kim. By now we also know Kim was secretly seeing Kanye while she was with Reggie. Either way, this is the woman that was all over the tabloids. She even hired supper attorney Gloria Allred to clear her name.

In 2013, January made headlines again when she was arrested for forging checks.

As far as January's ties to Basketball Wives, she's allegedly dating New Orleans Pelicans forward Tyreke Evans. Evans also happens to be the father of BBWLA cast member Angel Brinks' daughter. Expect tons of drama from these two.

Former Destiny’s Child Singer Latavia Roberson Releases Statement, Following Rumors of Her ‘Fighting For Her Life’

Earlier this month, there were rumors that the former Destiny’s Child singer/reality star had a medical emergency related to her pregnancy and was “fighting for her life”. Here’s the rumored shortlist for Michael Strahan’s ‘Live!’ replacement

It’s been several weeks since Michael Strahan’s messy exit from “Live! With Kelly and Michael.”

Now, a rumored shortlist (for Strahan’s replacement) has surfaced, featuring an interesting list of players sure to bring something different special to the syndicated morning show.

So, without further ado, let’s break down the top runners.

The latest name to be thrown into the mix is Nascar driver Jeff Gordon, who said in June he’d love to work alongside Ripa. “I had a great time co-hosting on that show, and I certainly would welcome it. My priority is Fox and Fox Sports and NASCAR,” said Gordon. “If there was something that would fit into and around that, great.”

Next up, is former “Boy Meets World” star, Fred Savage, who appeared as Ripa’s onscreen partner earlier this week.

“I enjoy it so much. I love interacting with the audience. I love sitting beside Kelly—to work with someone who’s just at the top of her field is a thrill, so it’s all enjoyable,” Savage recently told ET.

Also on the list, is Rob Lowe, who coincidentally was a contender prior to Strahan coming on board back in 2012. Now, it appears, the network is circling back around, giving the “The West Wing” alum a second look. “My kids are out of the house, they weren’t then. Who knows … But listen, man, I don’t want to go up against Anderson Cooper,” he told ET in May. “I don’t know if I’m going to go back as an actual guest host yet … You never know! You never know.”

At the bottom of the totem pole is none other than Ripa’s BFF, Anderson Cooper. The pair have co-hosted together a handful of times. The CNN host has even called the possibility a “dream,” but nothing has been set in stone.

Although the show has not yet commented on the co-host rumors, we could absolutely see Lowe, Cooper and even Gordon stepping up to the plate. Who would you like to see replace Strahan?
