Idris Elba’s “Dark Tower”: New Photos Are Here!
Giving fans a little teaser, Sony Pictures just rolled out a new batch of official photos from “The Dark Tower,” slated to hit theaters on February 17th, 2017.
Starring Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey, Abbey Lee, Katheryn Winnick, Claudia Kiim and Fran Kranz, the forthcoming project is already getting all kinds of industry buzz.
Per the synopsis, “The Dark Tower series tells the story of Roland Deschain, Mid-World’s last gunslinger, who is traveling southeast across Mid-World’s post-apocalyptic landscape, searching for the powerful but elusive magical edifice known as The Dark Tower. Located in the fey region of End-World, amid a sea of singing red roses, the Dark Tower is the nexus point of the time-space continuum. It is the heart of all worlds, but it is also under threat. Someone, or something, is using the evil technology of the Great Old Ones to destroy it.”
#RHoA: Is Cynthia Bailey leaving ‘RHoA?’
Rumors have it that “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey may be turning in her Georgia Peach.
Now that she has officially filed for divorce from her husband of six years, Peter Thomas, and now that Thomas has forged business ties with Nene Leakes, and now that the couple have not been living together for the past several months – living in different states – Bailey is starting manufacture an existence outside of the probing, unforgiving RHOA cameras, according to Tamara Tattles.
Bailey has has moved to a secluded lake home, outside of Atlanta, with plans to leave the region and the show altogether, the blog asserts.
Further proving the point is the fact that Bailey has put her home she shared with Bailey up for sale and moved into a home on the lake with a paradise view.
She’s also been in Los Angeles much more often, helping her daughter get acclimated to the entertainment environs over the summer. Word has it that she is even considering moving herself and Noelle in with her ex and Noelle’s father Leon so they can co-parent and guide Noelle through the industry as a team.
#EMPIRE: Season 3 Alert! Taye Diggs Joins Empire Season 3 in Major Barack Obama-Infused Role

Taye Diggs has signed on for a major recurring role on Fox’s Empire, TVLine has learned. The Private Practice vet will first appear in the Fox drama’s Sept. 21 Season 3 premiere as Angelo Dubois, a city councilman hailing from a respected and affluent New York family.
With his pedigree and a Harvard law diploma, Diggs’ Angelo could have made a fortune in the private sector. Instead, he is ruled by his sense of noblesse oblige, and focuses his energies on community organizing and local politics, inviting comparisons to Barack Obama.
Diggs, who is currently starring in TNT’s anthology drama Murder in the First, joins a Season 3 guest roster that also includes singer Sierra McClain, rapper French Montana and music mogul Birdman (as himself). As TVLine scooped last month, rapper-actor Xzibit — who joined Empire last season as Lucious’ drug-dealin’, music-makin’ adversary Shyne Johnson — has been promoted to a series regular.

New Music: India Arie Releases New Song/Video “Continue To Breathe”
In such racially-charged times, it seems many artists are breaking their silence and speaking out about social injustice.
India.Arie is the latest to raise her voice with regards to #BlackLivesMatter. Though the soul singer hasn’t released an album in nearly three years, with a heavy heart, she shared her feelings about what’s going on with a brand new song, “Continue to Breathe.”
Debuting the song by way of a video that features her guitarist and a number of friends, “Continue to Breathe” isn’t about reassurance. It’s not necessarily about instilling hope. Rather, Arie just wants people to know that, as life goes on, so, too, must they continue to be strong.
“So much injustice in this life, and it happens right on your TV screen,” India sings, with her friends serving as a makeshift backup choir on the song’s soulful chorus. It’s therapy to the sound of an acoustic guitar, and it reminds listeners to persevere in the trying times. All they can do, whether holding down the ones who came before or trying to keep their heads up for the generation to come, is keep breathing and keep marching.

Speaking on the song, India tells ESSENCE that she hopes to remind the Black community of their worth and usher in a spirit of healing. “My mission all of these years has been to spread love Healing Peace and Joy through the power of words and music,” she says. “I am working on a new album called WORTHY – but with the climate of our country, I couldn’t wait for an album release to share this song called ‘BREATHE.’ Just like the rest of the country, I am hurting and wondering how we can heal – and so I’m offering what I have. Fetty Wap takes on 21 Savage. Inspired by Savage’s “Dip Dip” smash, Zoovier delivers a new freestyle over the menacing beat.
Fetty sends a shot at the haters and some love to his fam. “Count the Zoovie out, boy, I still remain strong,” he raps. “Did it for my family, then I put the gang on.” Then, Wap reinterprets 21’s original hook, putting his own touch on the track.

Taylor Swift's Lawyer Threatened Kanye West Over Secret Phone Recording
Taylor Swift had her lawyer threaten Kanye West with criminal prosecution after learning his wife Kim Kardashian had recorded their phone conversation without permission.
The Shake It Off hitmaker has been left fuming after Kim shared a series of videos on her Snapchat page on Sunday night (July 17), in which Taylor can be heard on loudspeaker discussing a controversial line in Kanye's song Famous with the rapper.
In the footage, Kanye tells Swift he wanted to call her as a "friend" and get her opinion on the lyrics, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex..." The singer can be heard calling it "a compliment".
However, when the track was made public in February (16), Taylor's representatives slammed claims suggesting the star had approved her shout-out, which included the boast, "I made that b**ch famous" - a reference to Kanye's infamous stage invasion at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when he interrupted Swift's acceptance speech to protest her win.
Kim's Snapchat reveal aimed to prove Taylor had lied about having no knowledge of the tune beforehand, prompting the 26-year-old to fire back via Instagram on Monday (18Jul16), insisting she was unaware of the fact Kanye would be calling her a "b**ch".
Now editors at TMZ.com have obtained a legal missive from Taylor's lawyer, who contacted Kanye's attorney in February (16) and demanded the hip-hop star destroy any evidence of the phone call, because it was recorded in secret - a violation of California law. Sources reveal the conversation took place while the Stronger rapper was in a recording studio in Los Angeles.
The letter states: "Demand is hereby made that you immediately destroy all such recordings, provide us of assurance that this has been done, and also assurance that these recordings have not been previously disseminated."
It is not known if Kanye's attorney responded to the warning, but it's clear the rapper and his reality star wife paid little attention to the legal threat.
Secretly taping a phone conversation without warning is considered a felony in California.
Taylor still reserves the right to sue Kanye and Kim over the violation of privacy.

"It was truly a magical and heartfelt ceremony," Michael Russo, Ali’s wedding planner, told ET. "Tatyana was glowing as she walked down the aisle." The ceremony also included Caribbean touches to pay tribute to her roots.

Here’s the rumored shortlist for Michael Strahan’s ‘Live!’ replacement

It’s been several weeks since Michael Strahan’s messy exit from “Live! With Kelly and Michael.”
Now, a rumored shortlist (for Strahan’s replacement) has surfaced, featuring an interesting list of players sure to bring something different special to the syndicated morning show.
So, without further ado, let’s break down the top runners.
The latest name to be thrown into the mix is Nascar driver Jeff Gordon, who said in June he’d love to work alongside Ripa. “I had a great time co-hosting on that show, and I certainly would welcome it. My priority is Fox and Fox Sports and NASCAR,” said Gordon. “If there was something that would fit into and around that, great.”
Next up, is former “Boy Meets World” star, Fred Savage, who appeared as Ripa’s onscreen partner earlier this week.
“I enjoy it so much. I love interacting with the audience. I love sitting beside Kelly—to work with someone who’s just at the top of her field is a thrill, so it’s all enjoyable,” Savage recently told ET.
Also on the list, is Rob Lowe, who coincidentally was a contender prior to Strahan coming on board back in 2012. Now, it appears, the network is circling back around, giving the “The West Wing” alum a second look. “My kids are out of the house, they weren’t then. Who knows … But listen, man, I don’t want to go up against Anderson Cooper,” he told ET in May. “I don’t know if I’m going to go back as an actual guest host yet … You never know! You never know.”
At the bottom of the totem pole is none other than Ripa’s BFF, Anderson Cooper. The pair have co-hosted together a handful of times. The CNN host has even called the possibility a “dream,” but nothing has been set in stone.
Although the show has not yet commented on the co-host rumors, we could absolutely see Lowe, Cooper and even Gordon stepping up to the plate. Who would you like to see replace Strahan?
