Hugh Jackman Talks to Entertainment Weekly about saying Goodbye to Wolverine (Logan)

Hugh Jackman’s ninth movie as the gruff and rough mutant from the north, began as a conversation between him and director James Mangold on the set of 2013’s The Wolverine: If there were to be another sequel, it had to be something smaller, something darker.

And that’s the film they made. Logan is unlike any other X-Men movie. It’s dark and dreary and — if Jackman is to be believed — the last time we’ll see his Wolverine on screen.

On the eve of Jackman’s final cut, EW sat down with the actor, who’s had the longest stint as a superhero than anyone before him, to talk about his year wearing the adamantium claws and why this movie was the one with which to say goodbye.

After eight movies, Jackman was having a hard time finding a reason to return. What was there to say about a rapid-healing, 150-year-old mutant? He kept coming back to his conversation with Mangold. What did one last Wolverine movie look like? The pair had several movie references—e.g., The Wrestler, Shane—but only one true touchstone: Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven.

Johnny Gill teams with Jaheim for “5000 Miles,” a sultry mid-tempo gem that has both men spreading heartfelt lyrics and melodies about an incredible love.

This is not just any woman; she is damn near perfection because she takes them “5000 miles past heaven.”

The record was originally featured on Gill’s 2014 album, Game Changer, but the new release, featuring fellow crooner Jaheim, lifts the song to new heights.

Is Beyoncé & Jay Z Eyeing Spelling Mansion In L.A.?

From the concrete jungle where dreams are made of to the city of stars. Beyoncé and Jay Z are reportedly looking to move into one of Los Angeles’ most lavish estates.

The New York-based couple reportedly went on a private viewing of the famed Spelling Manor, a 57,000 square-foot French chateau-style pad in L.A.’s Holmby Hills, which was built by late television producer Aaron Spelling and his wife Candy in 1991, according to PEOPLE.

Following her husband’s passing, Candy listed the home for $150 million in 2009. Sharing photos of the estate’s interiors, she revealed its extravagant features, including a bowling alley, wine cellar, library, gymnasium, doll room, screening room, and three gift-wrapping rooms. The home also apparently includes a five-acre backyard, featuring tennis courts and a swimming pool.

“This house is the equivalent of a mid-sized hotel,” Spelling said at one time. “It’s a lot of work…I have wonderful memories here, but I feel like it’s a new chapter in my life — and it’s just me in this big house!”

Octavia Spencer Jokes About The ‘Hidden Fences’ Flubs On ‘SNL’

Back in Jan this year, First by Jenna Hargar Bush who asked Pharrell about his nomination for Hidden Fences…. And then by presenter Micheal Keaton who also called the film Hidden Fences while announcing Octavia Spencer’s nomination.

The 2017 Oscar nominee hosted Saturday Night Live this weekend and may as well have taken home the award for best monologue.

“It’s a dream come true to be here,” she began. “No, really. I’ve spent the last four months of my life at awards shows, doing interviews and walking red carpets, so this is my first real night out … of my Spanx. I’m just kidding — I’m still wearing Spanx. And by the way, did y’all watch the Oscars? I mean, how insane was that? How crazy was it that I didn’t win?”

“I mean, I get it, I get it,” Spencer said. “There were three black movies at the Oscars this year and that’s a lot for Americans.”

“So,” she went on, “if you’re gonna get confused anyway, I thought I might as well make some money off it. So, that’s why I produced Hidden Fence-light. It’s the story of three black women who send an introspective gay boy to build a fence on the moon.”

A big congratulations goes out to Grammy-winning recording artist, Tasha Cobbs. The “Break Every Chain” songstress shocked the world with her surprise wedding over the weekend to music Producer, Kenneth Leonard.

The two exchanged vows in front of a small group of family and friends, who originally thought they were attending a private dinner party. Although the event was a shock for many, Tasha Cobb says the ceremony has been in the works for quite some time now. “After a year of pre-marital counseling and much planning, the timing was finally perfect. It was incredible to be able to surprise those closest to us!”

We would like to wish the new happy couple continued success as they embark on their journey of marital bliss.

Bobby Brown Launches Bobbi Kristina Serenity House Website Against Domestic Violence

Bobby Brown celebrated the 24th birthday of his late daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, by launching the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House website.

The purpose of the site is to educate the community about the cycle of domestic violence, provide outreach services to identify women and children in need of these services, and provide a 24-hour crisis line to provide crisis intervention and referrals for domestic violence victims.

The site also includes an auction page with items autographed by Bobby Brown. All proceeds will benefit the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House.

Bobby also took to social media to share photos beautiful photos of Bobbi Kris and celebrate her life.

'Logan' Dominates Box Office for Opening Weekend!

Hugh Jackman‘s Logan arrived in theaters this weekend, and the numbers have come in!

The film made a whopping $85,300,000 this weekend, making the movie the biggest opening of the year so far! In addition, the film made $237.8 million globally.

Next up was Jordan Peele‘s Get Out, which made $26,110,695 in its second weekend at the box office.

The Shack also opened this weekend and brought in $16,100,000, with The Lego Batman Movie slightly behind at $11,650,000.

Rounding out the top five was Zoey Deutch‘s Before I Fall, which brought in $4,948,538 during its opening weekend.

The Kim and Nicki battle isn’t simmering anytime soon. T.I decided to bump gums on the beef when asked. Looks like Nicki Minaj is barking up a lot of trees these days…Peep what Trouble Man himself had to say:According to Billboards Reports:

Neither side looks to be calling a truce anytime soon, so Billboard asked the opinion of someone with perspective on the matter: rapper T.I.

Tip, who has engaged in and helped dissolve discrepancies in the past, believes that Kim’s issue with Minaj aren’t specific to women — or rappers, for that matter. “This is something that can happen to men too,” he says.

The chatter about Minaj potentially taking Kim’s spot, or Minaj boldly proclaiming herself the Queen of Rap, doesn’t help things either, T.I. says.

“Just because you heard another person say that you gonna be on edge,” he explains. “I feel like that’s more of the case with Kim and Nicki, even though I don’t know what started any of this, it’s a little more complicated to put to bed because of that fact.”

He also notes that Minaj being constantly compared to Kim has an impact as well. “It’s gonna put a chip on your shoulder in a different way too,” T.I. says.

Meanwhile, T.I. says his protégé Iggy Azalea “could be” collaborating on a song with Kim soon, though he wouldn’t confirm. The Aussie rapper has been pitted against Minaj before. “That’s a little more preposterous like ‘what the fuck’ because they’re not even in each other’s lane,” T.I. says of the Azalea and Minaj.

T.I. is currently busy readying his new album, Paperwork, and prepping the latest season of T.I. & Tiny’s: Family Hustle. He’s also executive producing a new reality show, The Sisterhood of Hip Hop.

Sara Stokes Arrested for Domestic Violence 

Back in 2009 MTV's Making the Band season 2 winner Sara Stokes was arrested on domestic violence charges for stabbing her husband Tony.

Apparently Sara is still kicking Tony's arse… 

According to TMZ Sara Stokes was arrested around 4am July 21 after police responding to 911 calls found Sara and Tony outside their house on the ground fighting. Sara was drunk.

This arrest violates Sara's probation for a previous domestic violence incident, also involving her husband Tony, earning Sara 93 days in jail.

12-Year-Old Detroit Boy Kills 9-Year-Old Playmate

A 12-Year-Old Detroit Boy is being tried as an adult after alledgedly stabbing his 9-year-old playmate.

Check out the details below.

Jamarion Lawhorn a 12-year-old boy allegedly stabbed his 9-year-old playmate, Michael Verkerke, on a Michigan playground two days ago. According to Detroit Free Press, four children—including the young suspect—were playing at the Pinebrook Village mobile home park in Grand Rapids, Michigan when the preteen pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed Michael several times in the back. A stunned Michael ran home screaming and collapsed on his porch, where his hysterical mother, waited for paramedics to arrive. A neighbor reported the following,

“We were sitting on our deck. We heard the kids run across the front … screaming. He (Michael) ran with the kids that were with him.”

“She (Michael’s mother) was screaming, ‘Where is the ambulance?’ while her boy was laying on the porch bleeding. The kids, I thought they were just playing.”

Another neighbor says she approached the 12-year-old who asked to use his cell phone. The boy was very calm as he called 911.

“I gave him my phone, and I heard him tell the 911 operator, ‘I just stabbed someone. Come and get me. I want to die.’ It was just a sad situation.”

“The only time he raised his voice was when the police came.”

When officers arrived on the scene, they first went to help a wounded Michael while the 12-year-old tried to get their attention by reportedly yelling, “Hello. I’m right here. You’re going the wrong way.”

Officers took the preteen to a hospital to be evaluated. He was later transported to a juvenile detention center. Investigators are still searching for a motive for the crime. The child pleaded not guilty to the open murder charge being brought against him in court yesterday. He is currently being held without bond and will be tried for the crime in the same manner as an adult, says Assistant Kent County Prosecutor Laura Clifton.

“This charging route was taken because if a juvenile is charged as a juvenile in juvenile court, the judge would have no option but to discharge at the age of 21,” she said.

Because he has been charged with open murder, if he is convicted, he will be eligible for a blended sentence.

“For example, a juvenile can have a juvenile disposition, the term used for a juvenile sentence, but also have an adult sentence that is delayed — basically held in abeyance,” Laura explained.

Lil Wayne sued by private jet company for nonpayment of more than $1 million in outstanding fees

Lil Wayne owes more than $1 Million to Signature Group for jet-setting lifestyle

According to a press release to media, Signature Group LLC, of Miami, Florida, has filed a lawsuit for more than a million dollars against popular rapper, entrepreneur and budding sports management agent, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., better known as Lil Wayne. The complaint states that Young Money Entertainment LLC and Dwayne Carter, president of Young Money Entertainment, owe more than $1 million in missed payments, fees and charges for leasing a Gulfstream private jet operated by Signature Group.

According to the complaint filed by Mrachek, Fitzgerald, Rose, Konopka, Thomas & Weiss P.A.,  on behalf of Signature Group, Young Money Entertainment and Lil Wayne have not paid their bills under their current lease agreement or otherwise for the greater part of 2014.

The complaint shows how Carter and his entourage used the aircraft throughout 2013 and 2014 for domestic and international flights for the purposes of business, including a European tour, and leisure, and in 2014 Young Money Entertainment, guided by manager, Cortez Bryant, and at the direction of their new business manager, started missing payments under the lease agreement and failed to pay in full the operating expenses relating to flights on the aircraft.

Lil Wayne and his management team requested several costly custom improvements to the aircraft to accommodate his unique lifestyle preferences consisting of satellite telephones, a custom bed and sophisticated medical equipment.

Right now, Dwayne Carter and Young Money Entertainment owe Signature Group more than $1,066,751.67 for fees and late charges under the lease agreement and the amount continues to increase until payment is remitted.

“We provided Lil Wayne and his Young Money organization with the service they desired and expected since 2006. We’ve mutually benefited from our longstanding working relationship and have had the pleasure of flying several artists under the Young Money Entertainment umbrella,” stated Kevin Parrott, owner of Signature Group LLC. “This suit could have been avoided if Young Money Entertainment paid Signature Group, as promised, before the upcoming 2014 Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour.

“We have multiple text messages from his management team, to Mr. Parrott, stating that they have ‘no money’ to pay the bills currently, contrary to the earlier and repeated promises to pay,” said attorney Scott Konopka, who represents Signature Group.

Signature Group has repeatedly attempted to communicate with Young Money Entertainment, by phone, in writing and even text message, but Young Money Entertainment will not communicate and that has necessitated this lawsuit.

Signature Group is seeking a trial by jury and damages against Young Money Entertainment and Carter, as well as interest and attorney’s fees.

Nicole Murphy SPOTTED On Vacay With Former NBA Star Jim Jackson…Amid Michael Strahan breakup

A new twist has been added to the on-going drama between “Live With Kelly & Michael” host Michael Strahan and “Hollywood Exes” star Nicole Murphy.

New pictures of the reality star have surfaced of her snuggling up with ex-NBA star Jim Jackson on vacay in the Caribbean LAST month. Yep…one month before the former couple announced their split.  We can't post them here, but...

The twosome enjoyed a 3-day getaway at the Dorado Beach Ritz-Carlton in Puerto Rico on July 7th-July 10th. A source told TMZ that they were really affectionate with each other, hugging up on one another and KISSING. Chick sure moves fast.

We hear Nicole and Michael actually called off their engagement several weeks before the official announcement. Reportedly, back in July, she had a hunch that there was another woman. But it seems the relationship may have been over even before then, because last month Nicole was spending her free time cup-caking with this handsome baller. Hmmm... So who was cheating on who?

Other sources claim Nicole went to Puerto Rico with some girlfriends and just so happened to have bumped into Jim. Sources also allege Nicole and Michael were on a break during her trip, but claims she didn't think the relationship was completely over. Messy boots.

Guess we will see all of this play out on the next season of "Hollywood Exes."

Jay Z, Rick Ross & Dr. Dre – Win Legal Battle Against Gospel Group

Earlier this year, Jay-Z, Rick Ross & Dr. Dre were sued by gospel singers Clara Shepherd Warrick and Jimmy Lee Weary. The singers claimed the rappers infringed on their copyright by using their 1976 song “I’m So Grateful (Keep in Touch)” in the rappers song “3 Kings”. They even alleged that their song had been forever defaced by “unsavory language”.

The rappers fired back claiming the duo didn’t own the copyright to the 1976 song and that they signed over all rights to Universal Music, who gave them permission to use the song in their song.

The legal battle has been going on ever since, until the federal court judge came back with his decision on August 5th. 

The judge stated in the order that neither Universal Music, Jay-Z, Rick Ross or Dr. Dre can be held liable for copyright infringement because the gospel group signed away their rights to the song back in 1976.

Further, the judge says that while Shepherd and Weary may have wrote the song with the intention to create spiritually uplifting music and hoped their music would continue to be used in that context, the agreement they signed doesn’t state anything about it not being able to be sampled in songs like “3 Kings”.

The order says that the rappers used the sample with full permission by the true copyright owner, Universal Music, and thus the lawsuit is dismissed forever and the gospel group is awarded NOTHING from their legal action. Take a listen to both 3 Kings and “I’m So Grateful (Keep in Touch)”.

Word on the street is Big Sean and Ariana Grande are dating? The two were spotted making out at a movie theater according to a fan’s tweet!

It seems finding a new beaux is not an issue for rapper Big Sean! Supposedly, he was spotted booed up with “Problems” singer Ariana Grande. A fan snapped a photo of the two at the theater making out!

“Ariana Grande and Big Sean were seen at the movies last night,” was the caption that @ArianaTodayNet used for the picture of the two!

Big Sean and Grande have been friends and music collaborators for the passed few years. Not to mention, both were in some pretty high-profile relationships, and both are now SINGLE. Let us hope this fan was reporting the truth and not for 15 seconds of fame via Twitter!
