Kandi Burruss says her intimate one-woman show, I Do, I Did, I’m Done, differs from ex-husband Todd Tucker’s divorce series because she collected attendees’ phones and kept the performances private.
Burruss said Tucker pitched Til Divorce Do Us Part multiple times without success and criticized him for sensationalizing private details of their marriage during its promotion.
Burruss confirmed their divorce became official around March 28; the former couple continues to co-parent Ace and Blaze.

Kandi Burruss is drawing a clear line between telling her story and turning a divorce into a public spectacle.
During a sit-down with CNN anchor Audie Cornish, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star addressed the growing conversation surrounding ex-husband Todd Tucker's upcoming project, Til Divorce Do Us Part, revealing that the series had already struggled to find a home before its current rollout.

"He's tried to pitch the show multiple times," Burruss said. "They did not choose to do it."
Her comments arrive just days after Tucker intensified promotion for the project, which promises viewers "what went down behind closed doors" during their marriage.
The series has expanded into an unlikely gathering of Real Housewives alumni and former partners, with Apollo Nida, Peter Thomas, Ralph Pittman Jr. and Dennis McKinley all appearing alongside Tucker and his divorce attorney, Randy Kessler.

Cornish admitted she wasn't exactly sold on the concept.
"The man who shall not be named—Kandi's former partner—has a new project," she joked. "Not to be a hater, but I really don't want to see the men. One of the things I loved about Real Housewives, it was centering the story of women. Many over the age of 40. And I didn't really want to know about the dudes on the side."

Burruss suggested that reaction is exactly why the project struggled to gain traction.
"Because I think a lot of people feel the way that you do," she replied.
The conversation also addressed comparisons between Tucker's project and Burruss' own one-woman production, I Do, I Did, I'm Done, which she confirmed was inspired by the end of their marriage.

Asked whether the show centered on past relationships, Burruss answered plainly: "The divorce I just came out of."
She also confirmed that the split is now final.
"Yeah, it's official," Burruss said. "March 28th or something, it was official."
But Burruss pushed back on the idea that her show and Tucker's documentary occupy the same space.
"I think the answer or the reply to it is, 'Oh, she did her own one-woman show,'" she said. "But what people don't realize about the one-woman show is, we took people's phones. I purposely did it in intimate crowds. You would have to know somebody that went or who was there to be a part of it."

That distinction has become increasingly important as Tucker's promotional campaign has grown more provocative. Earlier this month, Burruss publicly criticized her ex after he discussed intimate details of their marriage while promoting Til Divorce Do Us Part.
"A man who has already hurt me to my core is furthering the damage by choosing to sensationalize our sex life to stretch his five minutes of fame," Burruss said at the time. "What consensually happens between a husband and wife in the privacy of their marriage is exactly that—private."

The former couple, who met while filming RHOA in 2011, announced their separation in November 2025 before finalizing their divorce earlier this year. They continue to co-parent their children, Ace and Blaze, and have occasionally appeared together publicly since the split.

Kendrick Lamar has reportedly earned the highest-grossing touring year by a rapper in history.
On Thursday (Sept. 24), box office reporter ChartData announced K-Dot's latest landmark. The Grand National Tour raked in $390.7 million. The tally comes from 2.037 million tickets sold across 47 shows in 2025.

On Friday (Sept. 25), TDE's Punch reacted to the news."390 is nuts lol. Extremely grateful!" he posted on X.
"Also lol. You guys are something else," he added. "You can’t discredit Dot by saying it’s cause SZA was on the tour. Nor can you discredit SZA by falsely claiming she didn’t headline. Both things are true. Dot got the highest grossing rap tour of all time AND SZA co-headlined. lol. Another truth, they both could’ve did separate stadium tours with similar results. But chose to do it together because… FAMILY."

Kendrick Lamar's Grand National Tour with SZA kicked off last April and ran through December. Last November, prior to the Australian leg of Kendrick's Grand National Tour, it surpassed Drake's 2023-2024 It's All a Blur Tour as the highest-grossing rap tour of all time. Drake's trek with 21 Savage pulled in $320.5 million, with a total of 1.3 million tickets sold in 80 shows.

Earlier this month, Drake revealed he will be heading out on tour in 2027 in promotion of his Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honour albums.

JAY-Z Sexual Assault Accuser Fully Recants Statement: ‘I Never Met Mr. Carter’

Last year, JAY-Z was embroiled in controversy as he was accused of sexual assault. Today, the woman has fully recanted her statement. According to Rolling Stone, the woman has entered a legal statement that her statements were false and she never actually met JAY-Z.

“Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter never raped me. I have never met or spoken to Mr. Carter. Mr. Carter never engaged in any inappropriate conduct toward me whatsoever,” the woman wrote in a declaration files in Manhattan federal court.
“There is no truth to any of my claims against Mr. Carter,” the statement read. “I understand my false accusations have caused Mr. Carter immense pain, suffering, and damage that can never be fully undone.”
In response, JAY-Z has dismissed the woman as a defendant in his lawsuit against Tony Buzbee and his law firm.

Buzbee issued a statement to Rolling Stone via email, stating, “We have multiple lawyers (at least four) who dealt with Ms. Doe long before she met me. She gave the exact same story to each. If for some reason now she is claiming she lied to us and the court, that’s new information.”

Keke Wyatt Denies ‘Extremely Serious’ Child Cruelty and Terroristic Threat Allegations After Arrest

Keke Wyatt is pushing back against reports surrounding her recent arrest in Georgia.
The R&B singer was booked into the Henry County Jail on Sept. 20 under her legal name, Ketara Wyatt Darring. She was released two days later after posting a $1,050 bond.
Initial reports said Wyatt was booked on several charges following an alleged confrontation. Those included terroristic threats, assault and third-degree cruelty to children. However, Wyatt’s representatives now say those reports do not reflect the case currently before the court.

“Contrary to information currently being circulated, the Henry County court documentation reflects one charge: simple assault,” her representatives said.
Her team specifically denied that Wyatt was charged with cruelty to children, terroristic threats and acts or aggravated assault. The statement comes as public booking information appears to conflict with the account provided by Wyatt’s representatives.

CBS News Atlanta reported that Henry County booking information listed aggravated assault and terroristic threats and acts. The entry also listed third-degree cruelty to children as a misdemeanor.
Wyatt’s representatives expressed particular concern about reports involving children.
“We are not offering excuses or asking anyone to prejudge the circumstances surrounding the case,” the statement said.
Her team said Wyatt plans to address the matter through the appropriate legal process. The child cruelty designation reported in the booking information does not necessarily allege that Wyatt physically harmed a child.

The booking entry reportedly identified the allegation as third-degree cruelty to children involving a witness. Georgia law can apply that provision when a child witnesses or hears certain alleged acts of violence.
New details about the alleged confrontation also emerged after Wyatt’s statement was released. An arrest warrant affidavit reportedly claims the incident occurred during a child custody exchange on Sept. 20.

A witness alleged Wyatt displayed a black 9mm Beretta during an argument and threatened another woman, according to reports. Three children were reportedly nearby during the confrontation.
Wyatt reportedly acknowledged having the firearm when speaking with authorities. However, she denied pointing it through a vehicle window or threatening anyone.

The allegations contained in the warrant have not been proven in court. Conflicting records leave questions about case
The case now carries two conflicting descriptions of the charges connected to Wyatt’s arrest. A Henry County booking entry reportedly lists aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts and third-degree cruelty to children.
Meanwhile, Wyatt’s representatives maintain court documentation reflects only a simple assault charge. The team has not publicly explained whether the initial allegations were changed, reduced or declined after Wyatt’s booking.

Wyatt, 44, rose to prominence through her collaborations with fellow R&B singer Avant. Their recordings included “My First Love” and “Nothing in This World.” Both appeared on Wyatt’s debut album, “Soul Sista.”
She later expanded her career into reality television. Wyatt appeared on all three seasons of TV One’s “R&B Divas: Atlanta.” She later starred in “Keke Wyatt’s World,” which followed her career and family life.
Despite the ongoing legal matter, Wyatt’s representatives said her scheduled performances remain unchanged. Her team said she intends to fulfill her existing professional commitments while the case moves through the legal system.

Radio Veteran #RIPAngelaStribling Has Died: BET & Radio Personality Was 58

Angela Stribling, a popular radio host and BET (Black Entertainment Television) television personality, has sadly passed away at the age of 58.
Journalist Ed Gordon confirmed her passing in a social media post. They worked together for years.
Ed wrote on Facebook, “It’s been a very difficult year for the BET family, we’ve lost a number of people and it’s gotten even more devastating. So very sad to hear Angela Stribling has passed away. We worked together and became friends during our years at the network and remained friends once we both moved on to other opportunities.”

He continued, “Her years at BET saw her host a number of shows and her sultry voice made her a staple on radio in the DC area and on Sirius. She did countless voiceover work, she sang and had parts in movies. I remember her calling me when she got a role in the Eddie Murphy movie, Distinguished Gentlemen. Lately, We would often cross paths at different conferences and events. We remembered to drop notes to each other for birthdays and holidays. During our last conversation, she told me that she and her husband would be spending more time in DC after being out west for a number of years. My prayers and best go out to him and her other loved ones. She was a sweet soul, RIP.”

Most recently, she hosted the radio program Pillow Talk with Angela. She rose to prominence on BET hosting Screen Scene.
Through her work over the years, she interviewed some major names like Janet Jackson, Bill Clinton, Stevie Wonder, and more. She is survived by her husband, Ken. Our thoughts are with Angela‘s friends, family, and loved ones. RIP.

Chadwick Boseman’s Widow Claims Lawsuit From Late Actor’s Family Is ‘PR Stunt’

Chadwick Boseman’s widow is pushing back against his brothers amid an ongoing legal battle over the late actor’s estate.
Taylor Simone Ledward filed a response Thursday, Sept. 24, in Los Angeles court. She disputed allegations made by Derrick and Kevin Boseman. The brothers previously petitioned to have Ledward removed as administrator of Boseman’s estate.
They filed the action on behalf of their parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman.
Ledward’s attorney, Adam Streisand, called the legal action a “baseless attack” against his client. He also described the petition as a “public-relations stunt to smear Simone in the tabloid press.”

“Simone has not only complied with the Order, but as a product solely of her own extraordinary generosity, she has gone well beyond what was required of her,” Streisand wrote.
The response claims Ledward distributed nearly all assets required under an October 2022 court order.
Boseman died without a will in August 2020 following a private battle with colon cancer. He was 43. Under the estate distribution, Ledward received 50% of the actor’s assets. His parents were each entitled to 25%.
Derrick and Kevin previously alleged Ledward failed to fully distribute the estate despite the 2022 order. They also questioned her handling of Boseman’s intellectual property, royalties and other assets.

In July, the brothers said their parents had sought answers about the estate for years.
“For years, our parents have sought clarity regarding matters connected to the estate of our brother, Chadwick Boseman, including his intellectual property and legacy,” they said.
The brothers said their parents authorized the legal action. Ledward now strongly disputes the suggestion that she withheld money from Boseman’s family.

Her filing lists several assets she says were distributed. Those include $151,558 from one bank account and another account containing $241,180.75.
The filing also lists a $40,000 life insurance policy. Additionally, 100 shares of Chadwick Boseman, Inc. were valued at nearly $3.4 million. Ledward claims only one roughly $300,000 IRA remains undistributed. Her attorneys contend the brothers’ legal action prevented that account from being distributed.

Ledward says she went beyond legal requirements
The response also highlights money Ledward says she personally provided to Boseman’s relatives. According to the filing, Ledward gave more than $300,000 of her own money to Derrick’s four children.
Her attorneys cited the payments as evidence against claims that she sought to deprive Boseman’s family. The estate also reportedly received approximately $300,000 in SAG-AFTRA residuals between 2020 and 2024.

Ledward says $150,000 was distributed to Derrick and Kevin at their parents’ request. Her attorneys also pointed toward Ledward’s work surrounding Boseman’s artistic legacy.
Those efforts include the Chadwick Boseman Foundation for the Arts and projects involving Boseman’s work. Ledward’s attorneys said those projects were structured to benefit both sides of the family.
“Simone’s generosity has been both financial and collaborative,” Streisand wrote.

“She has always included the Boseman family in her efforts to ensure Chadwick’s memory would endure and flourish long after her husband’s tragic and untimely death.”
Derrick and Kevin have maintained their legal action is about transparency and enforcing the court’s previous order. They said in July that they remain committed to protecting their parents’ interests and preserving their brother’s legacy.
Ledward is asking the court to reject the petition and allow her to remain administrator of Boseman’s estate. The court dispute comes six years after the “Black Panther” star’s death. Boseman was also known for portraying Jackie Robinson, James Brown and Thurgood Marshall during his celebrated career.

Colin Kaepernick’s Memoir ‘The Perilous Fight’ Debuts At No. 1 On New York Times Best Sellers List

Colin Kaepernick can officially add another accomplishment to his résumé.
The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback’s new memoir, “The Perilous Fight,” debuted at No. 1 on The New York Times Best Sellers list. The book landed atop the hardcover nonfiction rankings following its Sept. 15 release. Kaepernick celebrated the news on social media shortly after the ranking was announced.

“#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER,” Kaepernick wrote.
He also thanked readers who purchased the memoir and attended stops during his book tour.
“It’s been a long time coming,” he wrote.
The achievement comes a decade after Kaepernick’s national anthem protest became one of the biggest stories in professional sports.
“The Perilous Fight” was published by Legacy Lit, an imprint of Hachette Book Group. Journalist and author Nick Chiles collaborated with Kaepernick on the memoir.

The 288-page book traces Kaepernick’s childhood, football career and evolution as an activist. It also revisits his controversial departure from professional football. An audiobook version is narrated by Kaepernick and was released alongside the hardcover and e-book editions.

Kaepernick tells his story in his own words
Kaepernick entered the NFL after the San Francisco 49ers selected him in the second round of the 2011 draft. He eventually became the team’s starting quarterback and helped lead San Francisco to Super Bowl XLVII. However, his career took a dramatic turn during the 2016 NFL preseason.
Kaepernick initially sat during the national anthem to protest racial injustice and police violence against Black Americans. He later began kneeling after discussing his protest with former NFL player and Green Beret Nate Boyer.

The demonstration sparked a national debate surrounding race, policing, patriotism and athletes using their platforms for social causes. Kaepernick has not played in an NFL regular-season game since the 2016 season.
In “The Perilous Fight,” he provides his perspective on the events surrounding his protest and subsequent exit from the league.
The memoir also explores the experiences that influenced his political and social awareness. Kaepernick writes about being adopted by white parents and navigating predominantly white environments while growing up. He also discusses his growing interest in Black history and racial justice.

His reading included “The Autobiography of Malcolm X,” which became influential in the development of his worldview.
Kaepernick also addresses several high-profile moments that followed his protest. That includes his relationship with the NFL and his disagreements with some prominent figures in sports and entertainment.
“The Perilous Fight” arrives as Kaepernick continues building projects outside professional football.
He founded Know Your Rights Camp, an organization focused on education and empowerment for Black and brown youth. His other ventures include Kaepernick Publishing and Kaepernick Media.

Kaepernick previously expanded his story into television with Netflix’s “Colin in Black & White.” The scripted limited series examined his teenage years and experiences surrounding race and identity. His newest project gives readers a more extensive account directly from his perspective.
The memoir also arrives roughly 10 years after his protest first drew widespread national attention. Kaepernick has continued discussing the decision during interviews surrounding the book’s release.
He told Time that he intentionally avoided becoming the only voice associated with the movement after leaving football. Kaepernick said he wanted other athletes and activists to have room to speak.
Now, readers appear eager to hear more of his own story. With “The Perilous Fight” reaching No. 1, Kaepernick’s story has found a sizable audience beyond the football field.

Nicki also told the youth that they shouldn't think their voice "will not be heard," but rather recognize their "voice is very necessary right now for the country and for the world."

She went on to say that young voters are needed more than ever beyond just presidential elections because they will "reap the benefits of whatever vote decisions we make now."

Michael Jackson’s half-sister Joh’Vonnie Jackson is opening up about her relationship with their late father, #JoeJackson, and says the man portrayed in the “Michael” biopic isn’t the dad she personally knew.

During an appearance on FOX 5 Atlanta’s “Portia,” Joh’Vonnie praised her nephew #JaafarJackson’s portrayal of Michael but admitted she wasn’t a fan of Colman Domingo’s depiction of Joe. “That’s not the Joe Jackson I experienced,” she said. Still, Joh’Vonnie acknowledged that her experience was different from that of her older siblings, explaining, “I didn’t have to deal with the young Joseph.” She also made it clear Joe wasn’t exactly a pushover with her, adding, “I got my fair share of spankings from him as well.”

Sabrina Carpenter Cast as Ginger Rogers Opposite Tom Holland in Fred Astaire Biopic

Sabrina Carpenter will play Ginger Rogers opposite Tom Holland's Fred Astaire in Paul King's untitled biopic, with Margaret Qualley joining as Fred's sister and first dance partner, Adele Astaire, according to Deadline.
Director Paul King said no footage of Adele Astaire dancing survives, making the challenge of bringing her and Fred's legacy to the screen impossible to imagine without Holland, Qualley, and Carpenter.
Holland revealed the project himself in December 2021 and says he wants the film's dance numbers shot the way Fred Astaire filmed them, in single takes with no doubles.
Paul King wrote the script with Steven Levenson based on Kathleen Riley's book "The Astaires: Fred & Adele," and Fred Astaire's daughter Ava Astaire McKenzie is supporting the project.

Sabrina Carpenter is set to portray half of most famous dance partnerships in film history, signing on to play Ginger Rogers opposite Tom Holland's Fred Astaire.
Margaret Qualley is joining the untitled biopic too, according to Deadline, which confirmed the two castings Friday. Qualley will play Adele Astaire, Fred's older sister and his partner on Broadway before Hollywood ever came calling.
Director Paul King put the sister at the center of the film in a statement announcing the news.

"I am thrilled and honored to have been entrusted with telling the story of Fred Astaire and his original dance partner, his big sister Adele, to the big screen," King said. "Fred left a timeless legacy of dance on film, most famously in his collaborations with Ginger Rogers, while Adele's work has been lost to history; indeed, no footage of her dancing survives. The cinematic challenge of bringing to life these icons of the 20th century is one that I could not imagine without Tom Holland, Margaret Qualley and Sabrina Carpenter by my side."

King, who directed Wonka and the first two Paddington films, wrote the script with Steven Levenson, adapting Kathleen Riley's book "The Astaires: Fred & Adele." Riley is also on board as script and story consultant.
Amy Pascal and Rachel O'Connor produce for Pascal Pictures, with Ben Holden and Josh Hyams of Lightbulb Pictures and Holland through his Billy17 banner. The Astaire family is involved as well: Fred's daughter Ava Astaire McKenzie is supporting the project, and her son Tyler McKenzie serves as consultant and co-producer.

The announcement lands nearly five years after Holland let the news slip himself, telling the Associated Press in December 2021 that the script had just arrived and that Pascal had FaceTimed him about it while he was in the bath.
Holland has since started putting in the hours, and he wants the dancing on screen to be his own, shot the way Astaire shot it, in single takes with no doubles.
"I did my first few rehearsals recently, and it both filled me with excitement and absolute dread," Holland said. "Because I've got so much work to do to try to do Fred proud."

‘Drag Race’ Star Gottmik Arrested for DUI

Gottmik has been arrested. On Saturday (September 26), TMZ reported that the 30-year-old RuPaul’s Drag Race star, whose real name is Kade Gottlieb, was arrested earlier in the month for a DUI.
Law enforcement sources said that on September 16 at 4:50pm, Burbank Police responded to a traffic collision involving a black Porsche and multiple parked vehicles. They determined that the driver of the Porsche had collided with a parked Toyota Camry, which pushed into two additional vehicles.

The source said that Gottmik was the Porsche’s sole occupant. Police say the drag queen displayed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was arrested for DUI. Gottmik was released the following day.

Gottmik made history as the first trans man to compete on RuPaul’s Drag Race for season 13 where he came in 3rd/4th place with fellow contestant Rosé. Gottmik returned for season 9 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars and came in 4th place.

'90 Day Fiancé' Star Jenny Slatten's ALS Battle Worsens

Jenny Slatten’s ALS has progressed to the point that speaking hurts, leaving her husband, Sumit Singh, to serve as her voice and full-time caregiver in India.
The 68-year-old 90 Day Fiancé star is taking Edaravone and Riluzole to slow the disease, but her friend Penny says she is “getting weaker by the day.”
With Slatten uninsured in India and unable to travel alone, supporters have launched a GoFundMe and Stand Up for Jenny comedy benefits to help cover her care.

Jenny Slatten’s ALS battle has reached a heartbreaking new stage, with the beloved 90 Day Fiancé star now so weak that speaking has become painful—and her husband, Sumit Singh, has become her voice.

According to Page Six, the latest update came through a GoFundMe created to help cover Slatten’s medical care in India, where Singh is caring for her full-time. According to Slatten’s friend Penny, the 68-year-old reality star is “getting weaker by the day” while taking Edaravone and Riluzole, two medications intended to slow the progression of ALS. Penny said Slatten is also taking B12, melatonin and magnesium, but the treatments have left her drained.
“Jenny is getting weaker by the day,” Penny wrote, adding that Slatten now “hardly speaks” because it hurts too much.
“Sumit speaks more for her and is the main spokesperson for his wife,” she continued. “Sumit is Jenny’s main caregiver and doing a great job each day.”

Slatten and Singh were never just another franchise couple. Their relationship became one of the show’s most unlikely, stubbornly romantic storylines: an American woman and an Indian man fighting through family opposition, cultural pressure, distance, and a 30-year age gap before finally marrying in India in 2021 on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way.
Slatten and Singh went public with her ALS diagnosis in May, months after she received the diagnosis in December 2025. Her symptoms reportedly began about a year earlier, including frightening choking episodes while drinking water. Since then, the couple has kept fans updated as Slatten’s condition has worsened.

Last month, the decline became impossible to miss. In a video shared with followers, Singh asked Slatten if she wanted to say something to fans. Her answer was brief and devastating: “No, I can’t talk.”

Singh then explained what was happening. “Unfortunately, the ALS is progressing and it’s starting to show more in her talk, like, it’s hard for her to talk now,” he said.
The couple has also had to defend asking fans for help. Slatten does not have medical insurance in India, where Singh is caring for her, and she previously said she did not want to become “a burden” to her children in the United States.
Singh has explained that relocating is not simple either, because getting a U.S. visa is difficult for him and Slatten is not in a position to travel alone.

That reality has turned their fundraiser into a lifeline. Penny said Slatten’s loved ones still hope additional care may improve her comfort and mobility. “There are trials that have shown great response with Acupuncture and other Holistic services that can greatly improve mobility and feeling less tired,” she wrote.

#RHOA: Shamea Morton's $1.5M Mansion Renovation

Shamea Morton apparently decided that if The Real Housewives of Atlanta cameras were coming into her home, they'd have something worth filming.
The RHOA star and her husband, HVAC entrepreneur Gerald Mwangi, dropped $1.5 million renovating their sprawling Atlanta mansion, adding everything from custom Versace wallpaper and 14-foot sofas to a dedicated Housewives lounge. And then there's the detail that pushes it over the top: Morton has a glass elevator connecting her two closets.

Morton and Mwangi purchased Sterling Hall, a 20,000-square-foot mansion in Atlanta's Kingswood neighborhood, for $9 million in 2022. At the time, Morton was still making occasional appearances on Real Housewives of Atlanta rather than holding a full-time peach. But she enlisted Chicago-based designer Jennifer Kole to transform the home, with several spaces specifically designed to accommodate filming.

"When we started, everybody was on this wave of doing modern minimalism, and I was like, 'That is so not me,'" Morton said to The Wall Street Journal. "I wanted it to be over-the-top—I need gold and marble—jaw drop!"
Kole spent roughly two years working through the house, prioritizing the rooms most likely to appear on RHOA along with private family spaces. Just off the foyer sits the parlor where Morton films her confessionals, outfitted with enormous custom sofas.

The entryway, meanwhile, announces itself with custom Versace wallpaper.
"We do have Versace wallpaper as you walk in," Kole said, while noting that simply piling designer logos into the house wasn't the goal. Instead, she said the home's extravagant look came from layering materials and letting Morton's taste dictate how far the design could go.
"My biggest challenge was reminding myself that I could just go for it and that I didn't have to pull back," Kole said. "And when I thought that I went for it, I needed to go extra."
Morton's primary walk-in was sizable, but apparently not sizable enough for her wardrobe and the glam squad handling her hair, makeup, and styling during RHOA filming.

The solution was to take over a tea room directly beneath it and turn that space into a second dressing room. The home's original builder then installed a small glass elevator between the two closets, which Morton compared to a bank's pneumatic tube system.
The finished product got exactly the reaction she wanted when her castmates finally saw it.
"When the ladies came over to film for the first time, they were all in awe of the home," Morton said. "They were like, 'Who the hell has Versace on the walls?'"

The lavish reveal comes after a turbulent stretch for Morton on RHOA. Her longtime friendship with Porsha Williams disintegrated after Morton became a full-time cast member, eventually spilling into an ugly Scotland confrontation involving accusations about both women's mothers. Their feud continued online, where the former friends traded allegations and competing "receipts."
Morton has since tried to distance herself from the chaos. During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, she admitted the Scotland dinner went too far.
"The dinner was not the appropriate time to do it," Morton said, explaining that she apologized to the other Housewives for making them uncomfortable.

Her mansion, at least, was designed for considerably more glamorous RHOA drama. And despite spending $1.5 million making Sterling Hall camera-ready, Morton insists the $9 million property isn't some untouchable television set.
"I never want to make my children or my family feel like they can't touch or do or be comfortable at home," she said.

#HipHopNews: OutKast Takes Ovrkast to Court After Rapper Misses Agreed Name-Change Deadline

OutKast is taking its legendary name to federal court.
High Schoolers LLC, the trademark company controlled by André 3000 and Big Boi, filed a lawsuit in Georgia accusing Oakland rapper and producer Silas Wilson of infringing on the OutKast brand through his stage name, Ovrkast.
According to the complaint, the dispute had already moved toward a private resolution. Wilson allegedly agreed to change the spelling from ‘OVRKAST’ to ‘OVERKXST’ by July 15. The deadline passed without the promised switch, prompting OutKast’s company to pursue legal action.

The suit asks a judge to block Wilson from using Ovrkast across recorded music, merchandise, websites, social media pages and other commercial ventures. High Schoolers LLC is also seeking profits connected to the disputed name, financial damages and additional legal relief.
Wilson, 28, has built a respected presence in underground hip-hop as both a rapper and producer. His credits include work with Earl Sweatshirt and Drake, placing him inside the same broader industry occupied by the Atlanta duo. He previously told Rolling Stone that listeners regularly confuse his name with OutKast, even though Ovrkast was inspired by the word ‘overcast.’

That admission could become important. Trademark cases often focus on whether consumers are likely to believe two artists, products or businesses are connected. Streaming searches, promotional graphics, merchandise and social media handles can make similar names increasingly difficult to separate.
OutKast also enters the dispute with decades of brand recognition and a history of protecting its intellectual property. The duo’s company previously sued an electronic act called ATLiens over its use of the title OutKast created for its 1996 album and song. That case eventually ended in a settlement.

Online reaction to the Ovrkast lawsuit has included accusations of overreach, especially in a genre built on altered spellings and creative wordplay. The alleged agreement gives the case another dimension. The lawsuit now concerns the similarity between two stage names and Wilson’s reported commitment to change his.
A judge will ultimately decide whether the name creates unlawful confusion. For OutKast, the filing sends a clear message: its name remains active, valuable and protected, even during the duo’s long recording hiatus.

Jason Lee Claims Megan Thee Stallion Has A Drinking Problem

Jason Lee is once again raising questions about Megan Thee Stallion and alcohol based on his observations. Facts or fake news?
Suddenly, with no warning, Jason Lee got to talking about something considerably heavier than her love life: her relationship with alcohol.
Lee has reportedly revived his long running contention that Megan drinks too much, essentially arguing that people are paying attention to her romances while ignoring the alleged bigger issue. Jason Lee saying Megan has a drinking problem does not mean Megan Thee Stallion actually has one. That is his assessment, not a medical diagnosis or an established fact.

During the fallout surrounding Tory Lanez, Lee publicly claimed he had personally witnessed Megan drinking heavily and becoming aggressive. At the time, he said, “Megan was drunk as hell and super aggressive, and she’s a big girl. I’m telling you right now, she has a problem.”
Earlier this summer, Lee questioned the narratives surrounding her former partners, particularly hooper Klay Thompson. He acknowledged that he did not know what happened between Megan and Klay, but wondered why the men connected to her repeatedly wind up being portrayed negatively.

Does Jason actually know something that the public does not know? Is he basing everything on personal experiences from years ago? Or has his criticism of Megan become a permanent segment of the Jason Lee cinematic universe?
I know he is an insider and a shot caller, so I am only asking questions here.
Megan has endured enormous public scrutiny, legal drama and personal tragedy. None of that proves or disproves Jason’s allegation. Jason Lee certainly believes what he is saying.

Maybe he cares more than the rest of the people that would sooner watch a train crash than tell the conductor danger is ahead.

Kris Kross’s Chris Smith Responds To Jermaine Dupri Parents Allegations

Kris Kross star Chris Smith fiercely defended the group’s parents after Jermaine Dupri questioned their presence during the duo’s big money days.
Kris Kross‘s Chris Smith is pushing back hard on Jermaine Dupri after the So So Def architect suggested the parents of Kris Kross were not around when the money started coming in.
And this one clearly struck a nerve.
JD has been talking about the early days of Kris Kross, the teenage duo of Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly and Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith who became a Hip-Hop phenomenon after “Jump” exploded in 1992. But apparently, something Dupri said about their parents did not sit right with Smith.

Smith responded with a lengthy statement defending his family and challenging Dupri’s version of events.
“It’s disappointing how, culturally, we’re so quick to tear each other down. As the saying goes: ‘It be your own people.’ But let’s set the record straight: claiming ‘the parents were not there when it started’ proves you have no clue what you’re talking about.
Our parents were our only constant.

They protected us.They did what any good parents would do. I’ve learned there are no true friends in this business, and targeting my parents is low.

There is obviously history here. Dupri did not simply produce Kris Kross. He discovered the duo and helped transform two Atlanta kids into international stars. Their success also became a foundational chapter in the So So Def story.

But Smith is making an important distinction. Being central to Kris Kross professionally does not necessarily mean JD saw everything happening inside their families.
And Smith is unequivocal about what he remembers. His parents were there.
The reference to his late father makes the disagreement considerably more personal. This is no longer simply Hip-Hop veterans debating who remembers the 1990s correctly. Smith believes the reputation of people who protected him as a child is being questioned. There may be two radically different perspectives on what happened behind the scenes during Kris Kross’ meteoric rise.
But one thing seems certain.

Chris Smith is not letting anybody rewrite his parents out of his story.

Former Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Melody Shari Rodgers turned herself in at the Madison County Jail on a Domestic Violence charge on Tuesday.
According to her publicist, the charges stemmed from “allegations of harassment by her ex-husband and former co-star, Martell Holt.”
According to Madison County Jail records, Rodgers turned herself in on the charge of Domestic Violence - 3rd Degree - Harassment. She was booked just before 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday and was released by 11 a.m.

Rodgers claims that the charges are “fabricated” and that she has been working with state lawmakers on a bill, named after her, that “prioritizes protections for victims of false reports and aims to prosecute perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law.

“I have endured years of harassment that has affected my family, children, and livelihood,” Rodgers said. “While this is traumatizing, I know that it is far bigger than me. This is a national issue because it’s far too easy to get warrants on innocent people. That’s why Senate attorneys have written a new bill based on my situation.”

She states that Alabama State Senator Merika Coleman is supporting Rodgers with this bill. She states that Coleman “pre-filed legislation intended to strengthen accountability when someone knowingly files a false report resulting in another individual’s arrest.”
Alabama State Sen. Merika Coleman confirmed the upcoming legislation, stating she plans to introduce it on the first day of the 2027 legislative session on Feb. 2.
“I hate what Ms. Rodgers and her children are experiencing, but I am grateful that she has chosen to use her experience to advocate for change, not only for herself, but for other families who may find themselves in similar circumstances.

This legislation is about accountability. The current draft strengthens Alabama’s false-reporting law by expanding it beyond reports made to law enforcement to include knowingly false reports made to regulatory agencies, professional licensing boards, and the Ethics Commission. It also provides stronger penalties in certain serious cases and recognizes individuals wrongfully named in false reports as victims for purposes of restitution.

No one should be able to intentionally misuse governmental or professional processes to harass, harm, or retaliate against another person without meaningful consequences.”

Doctors are treating him with an AFib ablation — a minimally invasive procedure that creates small scars in the heart to block faulty electrical signals and restore a normal rhythm. The canceled shows were set for Saturday in #SanFrancisco, September 30 in #Chicago, and October 2 in Columbus, Ohio.

This marks Richie’s third hospitalization in as many months. He previously checked himself into a St. Louis hospital in late August after a concert, spending several days in the ICU for cardiac testing before being released. In June, he was rushed to a hospital by ambulance after feeling “dizzy” and “strange” during a concert in St. Paul, cutting the show short.

Chris Brown Calls Out Journalist Over Claims About His Abuse History

Years of allegations and legal cases resurface after Chris Brown challenges a writer to show where he has recently abused a woman.
A criticism of Chris Brown’s fan base has turned into another public fight over how his history of violence should be discussed. After journalist David Dennis Jr. argued that Brown’s supporters minimize a pattern that extends beyond his 2009 assault of Rihanna, the singer entered Dennis’ Instagram comments and challenged him to produce evidence that he is “actively abusing women to this day.”

Dennis, a senior writer for Andscape, argued in his video that fans often defend Brown by treating the Rihanna assault as an isolated event from nearly two decades ago. Brown responded by narrowing the question to criminal convictions. “Can you show me where I’m actively abusing women to this day,” he wrote, asking Dennis to provide “charges and convictions” involving violence against women from the past 17 years.

Dennis answered by asking Brown directly whether every subsequent accusation and restraining order involving women was false. The exchange quickly spread past the original post, with social media users circulating screenshots of Brown’s lengthy Wikipedia section documenting arrests, lawsuits, restraining orders, and allegations. Those matters do not all carry the same legal weight. Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault in the 2009 Rihanna case, while other accusations have resulted in civil proceedings, dismissals, or no conviction. In 2017, Karrueche Tran was granted a five-year restraining order against him after presenting the court with threatening messages, The Los Angeles Times reported at the time.

That distinction sits at the center of Brown’s defense. He argued that allegations should not be treated as convictions simply because they generated headlines. Dennis’ criticism, however, was broader than Brown’s criminal record and focused on the repeated accusations of violence that have followed him since the Rihanna case.
Brown’s recent legal history is not limited to allegations. In July, he pleaded guilty in London to affray stemming from a 2023 nightclub confrontation involving music producer Abe Diaw. The Guardian reported that the plea was to a lesser offense and involved a male victim, making it separate from Dennis’ specific claim about violence against women.

The online argument appeared to leave Brown fed up with more than Dennis. He later posted on his Instagram Story, “I don't want your fake love. I hate the music industry,” as criticism of his response continued circulating.
Brown has repeatedly objected to having past allegations folded together with conduct for which he was actually convicted. The latest exchange shows why that argument remains contentious. His 2009 felony assault conviction is established, while the years that followed include a mix of accusations and civil cases with very different outcomes. Brown wants those categories separated. His critics argue that the broader pattern is precisely what should not be ignored.

Converse Apologizes and Pulls Ad Campaign Over Racist Imagery

Another major U.S. corporation has apologized and pulled an ad campaign over racist imagery.
Boston-based sneaker maker Converse apologized and pulled its latest ad campaign over complaints that it mimics KKK and lynching imagery.
Converse is the latest corporation to green light an ad campaign featuring imagery that is offensive to Black people.

The backlash began when Converse posted an image of singer Karina holding a pair of Converse sneakers. But critics say the lighting mimicked Karina holding the feet of someone being lynched.
The lighting on Karina’s white robe depicts a pointed hood similar to the robes worn by Ku Klux Klansmen, a white supremacist group founded in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Converse, which is owned by Nike, issued a statement on Friday apologizing and announcing it had pulled the ad.
“This should not have happened and we will do better,” the company said in a statement.

Dolly Parton’s Manager Files for Restraining Order Against Her Nephew After Firing Him From Security

The battle between Dolly Parton‘s nephew, Bryan Seaver, and her manager, Danny Nozell, is getting heated.
The late country music singer’s nephew, who was the chosen family member to announce her death, and his security companies were recently fired from her properties following her death, and he called out her longtime manager for the change.

While he was fired from working on her properties, Bryan‘s personal interest as a beneficiary of her trust still remains.
However, on Tuesday (September 22), it was revealed that Danny filed for a restraining order against Bryan, and some disturbing details were unveiled in court documents.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Danny claims that Bryan started “invoking his self-proclaimed military-contractor experience, access to weapons, and capacity for violence” to extort him into giving in to his demands for money.

Danny says he was forced to fire Bryan due to the threatening conduct, including starting a campaign of threats and intimidation, as well as coercion in the weeks before Dolly‘s death.
Per TMZ, one of the threats said, “Her money better be bigger than I can make elsewhere or I’m going to f*** everyone. I am about to become the hand of retribution for my entire family.”

Another threat read, “I’m going to set up a podcast dedicated to ruining Dolly’s brand partnership and telling the violations these people have done on us.”
The docs claim Bryan sent another message saying, “All I do is warfare … everyone needs to be worried about what I might do,” while he also claimed, “I’m not an entertainment person. I’m a killer” and “I’m going to ratf*** every entity I can possibly conjure,” in messages submitted with the restraining order request.

The lawsuit requests that Bryan does not interfere with Dolly‘s businesses and leave her business partners alone, as well as stay 1,000 feet away from the offices.
Speaking with TMZ, Bryan denies the claims in the suit, saying, “I am a career soldier and military contractor and do conduct arms deals for foreign governments. I am a security professional and I am a killer.”
“However, nothing in this lawsuit were threats and most of the comments I stand by,” he added, saying the messages submitted were taken out of context to make it look like he was threatening people.

“I was talking frankly in a private way with Danny who I thought was my friend and he fancies himself a gangster,” he shared with the site. “A lot of these messages are two guys having rage talk and crying on the phone together while we were grieving.”
Responding to the “I’m going to ratf*** every entity I can possibly conjure,” Bryan said he was “talking about people that have done bad to Dolly in business – a specific company that scared her and intimated her. Those comments were about specific, horrible business partners that have done wrong to her and I stand by that.”

According to Variety, the restraining order says Bryan‘s alleged threats “have already produced the harm they were designed to cause. Ms. Parton’s trusts and estates attorney withdrew after Mr. Seaver targeted her. SAL [She’s Alive, LLC] personnel have resigned; others no longer report to the office because they fear Mr. Seaver and his armed associates. SAL and its related vendors have been forced to retain private security for its personnel —including at their homes. Ordinary operations have given way to an atmosphere of fear.”

“SAL therefore seeks immediate, narrowly tailored relief pending a full hearing on a temporary injunction,” the statement in the request continues. “Every day without relief gives Mr. Seaver another opportunity to frighten away a trusted employee, counsel, licensee, brand partner, or other essential counterparty. The campaign is ongoing, its consequences are mounting, and SAL should not be required to wait for the next resignation— or the next threat — to obtain protection.”

Clavicular Responds to Rape Case, Shares Alleged Messages With Accuser

Following reports that Clavicular has been charged with rape, drugging a person for sex, and providing alcohol to a minor, the controversial looksmaxxing streamer has responded to the allegations.
In a series of posts shared on X, Clavicular shared videos and screenshots in an attempt to dispute the claims leveled against him by influencer Aleksandra “Alorah Ziva” Vasilevna Mendoza, who filed a lawsuit against Clavicular earlier this year. While she isn’t named in the court records, which have been verified by Complex, they appear to match the claims in her lawsuit, and he also shared videos featuring her in his response.

“Trying to get my attention in anyway possible, a lawsuit?” he wrote alongside a video in which she denied dating Clavicular, real name Braden Peters. “Seriously… really petty of you.” The post also included screenshots of text messages allegedly between him and the alleged victim, whom he named “Leksy” in his phone. “I want you ngl,” she wrote in one message to him dated from December. When propositioned to be in a relationship, Peters responded, “I’ve been pretty busy.” Also included was an alleged handwritten letter from her, in which she promised to give him her “loyalty” and thanked him for letting her stay with him.

In his second post on the matter, he accused her of wanting to work at Bacara, the Miami Beach nightclub he formerly owned shares of. “Lmao was literally trying to work at Bacara as a bottle girl… how about don’t finance cares you can’t afford,” he continued, sharing a screenshot of a DM she appeared to send another bottle girl on TikTok and a video of her showing off a car. “Happens to all successful young men, people try to come for your money. Greed is evil.”

In the DM, she wrote, “Hey so I have a question I know your [sic] a bottle girl and I’m so curious how much you make and how the job is and if it gets scary just your thoughts in general.

He also responded to a post from FearedBuck reporting on the lawsuit. “What is this shit? Community notes?” The post later received a community note, showing that he was, indeed, charged with rape, drugging a person for sexual intercourse, and providing alcohol to a person under 21.
In her lawsuit filed earlier this year, Aleksandra “Alorah Ziva” Vasilevna Mendoza alleged that Clavicular promised to help get her career started only to take advantage of her. She alleged that he had sex with her before she turned 18 and injected her face with drugs. She claimed that she first met him when she was 16, and he paid her $1,000 to record videos.

After they recorded videos together, Clavicular allegedly sent her in an Uber to his parents’ home in Cape Cod, where she was provided with “excessive amounts of alcohol”. She alleged that he took advantage of her when she was inebriated and unable to consent to sexual intercourse, and that she later woke up during the assault.
Clavicular, in a statement issued by his attorney, denied the allegations earlier this year.

Simone Biles Says 3 Masked Men Stole Her Porsche From Chicago Home: ‘We Recovered the Car’

Simone Biles said three masked men stole her Porsche GTS from her Chicago home, but authorities recovered the car and she now plans to replace it.
Biles called the full account a “story for another time” and said the break-in helped prompt her and husband Jonathan Owens to get a Doberman.
The couple has since left Chicago after Owens signed with the Indianapolis Colts, while their permanent home base remains their newly completed Texas mansion.

Simone Biles says three masked men broke into her Chicago home and made off with her Porsche GTS—and although she eventually got the car back, she's decided she doesn't want it anymore.
The 29-year-old Olympic champion revealed the incident on TikTok on Monday, September 21, while getting ready to shop for a replacement vehicle. According to Biles, the break-in happened during the final months that she and her husband, Jonathan Owens, were based in Chicago, where Owens spent two seasons playing safety for the Bears.
“I feel like I need a new car because during our last few months in Chicago, three men in masks came to our house and stole my Porsche,” Biles said in a TikTok video. “Stole the GTS.”

Biles didn't offer specifics about how the men entered the residence, when the theft occurred, or how authorities recovered the vehicle. She did confirm that the Porsche was returned, captioning her post, “yes we recovered the car, onto the next.”
The gymnast said the full account was a “story for another time,” but revealed the incident led to another addition to the Biles-Owens household: a Doberman.
“The things that happen to me are absolutely insanity,” Biles said. “It’d be really easy for producers to just film regularly. That is one of the reasons why we also got our Doberman.”

It wasn't the couple's only encounter with an attempted theft this year. While Biles and Owens were in Italy for the 2026 Winter Olympics in February, Owens said someone attempted to snatch a shopping bag from him on the street in Milan. The attempt failed because Owens had the bag wrapped around his hand.
“Not somebody just tried to snatch my shopping bag in Milan,” Owens wrote on X at the time, adding that the person “took off running immediately.”
The Chicago chapter of the couple's life has since ended. Owens signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts in March, and Biles has already been spotted supporting him on the sidelines in Indianapolis. She told People earlier this month that she plans to “officially move” there later in the season after spending much of her time in Houston.

Their permanent home base remains Texas, where Biles and Owens recently finished the custom waterfront mansion they spent years designing and building. The project started with the design process in 2020, broke ground in 2022, and was completed in November 2025.
Biles has since shown off portions of the property, including its massive kitchen, outdoor entertaining area, pool and dedicated spaces for the couple's dogs.

As Owens settles into his first season with Indianapolis, Biles said her priorities are straightforward.
“I’m just excited to watch my husband,” she said. “It doesn’t matter, as long as he’s safe and healthy and he’s having fun, then I don’t care.”
