#GOSPELNEWS: The Choir Master Ricky Dillard with New 'G' Scores Another # 1 CD with their Latest project ‘10’! 👐

#GOSPELNEWS: The Choir Master Ricky Dillard with New 'G' Scores another # 1 CD with their latest project ‘10’!
Ricky Dillard & New G's 10 roars in at No. 1, earning 5,000 equivalent album units. Aptly, 10 is Dillard and his choir's 10th studio full-length, as well as their second Top Gospel Albums No. 1, among nine top 10s. The act debuted at No. 1 with prior LP Amazing in 2014.

Ricky Dillard is the inimitable choir master with an extraordinary flair that is surpassed only by his one-of-a-kind gift. For 27 years he has electrified church congregations and taken the choir performance presentation to new heights.  “I remember how excited we were when Dr. Dillard joined the family with Keep Living (2011). He worked, made history and we celebrated the success Amazing (2014) brought him & New G, with him. To be standing here again, as we anticipate the impact “10” will make, we know the music embodies hope and encouragement, which is needed at this time more than ever before. It’s an honor to be on this journey with Ricky, as he preserves and presents this new body of work for choirs, churches and worshippers around the world.”, says Gina Miller – VP and General Manager, eOne Nashville.
Dillard, who serves as minister of music at Ebenezer A.M.E. church in Washington, D.C., first appeared on Top Gospel Albums in 1991 with the No. 15-peaking The Promise….

“The Hunger Games” Stars Cover Entertainment Weekly Magazine!
While the end of the “Hunger Games” franchise is bittersweet, fans are getting pumped for the November 20th release of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.”
To that end, Entertainment Weekly is featuring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth on the latest cover, and Lionsgate just released a handful of new still images from the forthcoming flick.
Of the way he’s greeted in public, Hutcherson shares, “When you see the tons of people screaming and going crazy… I have the same problem that Peeta does of distinguishing reality from not reality. So for me, that’s not real. It seems so strange.” Lawrence adds, “It’s like you’re an avatar of yourself,” and Liam chimes in, “You get back in to the car after a premiere and it’s dead silent and you’re like… ahhhh.”

TRUE or FALSE? A Real-Life BEEF At EMPIRE? Taraji P. Henson & Terrence Howard ALLEGEDLY BEEFING On the Set of "Empire" ?!
While Taraji P. Henson famously lobbied Lee Daniels to hire Terrence for the lead role on "Empire," one insider claims the two are not getting along.
The source opened up to In Touch magazine, revealing Taraji and Terrence constantly bicker back and forth, and it makes everyone on set uncomfortable.  The relationship has become sour, allegedly.  According to the source:

“It’s gotten so bad that Taraji can’t be on set for more than 30 seconds without staring daggers at him,” the source said. She’s irritated by the pompous, bigheaded braggart that Terrence has become.”
While Taraji and Terrence have been close friends since their Hustle & Flow days, insiders say the success of the show might be getting the best of Terrence.  And ya'll know Terrence has anger issues and doesn't do well around powerful women!
“In the beginning, Taraji was the key supporter and apologist for his behavior.  But as his arrogance increased, she began to get annoyed."
Within all this rumor and speculation, it's also being alleged that "Empire" producers think tension between Taraji and Terrence will “prompt some amazing, volatile scenes between them. The animosity is working to the show’s advantage.” #Messy
Meanwhile, Taraji’s rep shot down any reports that she and Terrence are beefing.  In fact, the rep says the two “are the best of friends and professional colleagues … always."

Do we believe it?  Or are rumors like this expected to be concocted when a hit show has an ensemble cast? Whatever the case may be the execs at FOX still seem pleased with how the show is going.

In R.H.o.A News: Kim Field speaks on how it’s like being an Atlanta Housewife!
Lil Tootie, from ‘Facts of Life’ or Regine Hunter from ‘living Single’ but she’s just Kim Fields and she has made the foray into the reality world by becoming a cast member of Bravo's #1 rated Housewives franchise, The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Fields will be joining the cast of: Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams. Noticeably missing from the lineup is Nene Leakes who announced that she would not be coming back to the reality show that turned her into a celebrity.

Fields is most recognized as roller-skating Tootie from the 1970's mega-hit show, Facts of Life and as the super, sassy Regine Hunter from the 1990's hit Living Single. Fields has been in front of the camera since she was 7 years old and continues to hone her craft as an actor. Her most recent acting credits are a Hallmark TV movie, For Better or for Worse, and motion picture, What to Expect when you are Expecting, starring Cameron Diaz. She has also been very busy behind the scenes as a sought after director and producer. She has directed successful televisions shows on TBS, BET and TVOne. Fields said, "I'm an actor, director, producer, entrepreneur, mom and wife."

It's because of Field's celebrated history as a "legit" actor and director that many have questioned her choice to join a sometimes tasteless, oftentimes embarrassing, generally degrading and always controversial reality show like the The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Fields said, "When there were rumors about me joining the The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast I was intrigued by how much chatter there was. I was humbled by how many fans were protective of me. Not the brand, but of me."

In an interview with Tanya Young Williams for The Huffington Post, she gave a very candid and humorous Kim Fields opens up about her entertainment career, her decision to join The Real Housewives of Atlanta, The Real Housewives of Atlanta drama, and her family.

Tanya: Over the past few years you have taken on more directing jobs than acting. Are you still passionate about acting?
Acting is my first love. There are still so many characters inside of me that are waiting to come out.

You are married and have two children. How do you balance your career and family?
Yes, my husband's name is Christopher Morgan and we met in Atlanta. My two children are Sebastian and Quincy. I am 46 with a two year old and an eight year old. You'd think I would be a size two running after my kids like a do. There is no nanny. We have the occasional sitter. If my work causes me to be gone more than 2 days, the kids come with me. My husband and I are involved in school activities. Again this year, I am the Chair of the Black History Month events. The kids have lots of extracurricular activities too. We are 1000 percent hands on. We just make it work.

What made you decide to sign on to The Real Housewives of Atlanta?
I've been asked for years to do a reality show. One of my criteria is that I would be given the opportunity to show a strong family unit. When they came to me to do the show, they said, "We love you. We love your light and we love your opinions and you can give them in your way." So far they have been great in letting me be me.

In order to be a part of the Housewives of Atlanta cast, the ladies live in the Atlanta area. What brought you to Atlanta from California?
There has been a tremendous growth in the entertainment industry throughout Atlanta. There are many opportunities in film, television and theatre. I was offered an opportunity to direct Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns. It was a time when I was thinking about leaving California anyway so it was a great fit.

How has your experience been during taping The Real Housewives of Atlanta?
Overall, its been an quite the adventure. Let me just say, it's been "different". But at this stage of my life I welcome - "different". This experience has awakened many creative voices in me. I love that I get to be me and not play a character. It has been an eye-opening experience to say the least.

How has it been working with the ladies in the cast?
For 14 years I was in an ensemble cast filled with women. I can surely navigate my way through this. Throughout the process, I've gleaned a little something from each lady. A pinch of each of them is in me. Kenya is very girly, ultra famine - in terms of her exterior. I say, yeah, I can do more of that. Kandi is straight forward - all the time. I'm a bit more diplomatic - sometimes to a fault. Yet I say, how can I use some of her candid style. Going out with ladies and having ladies night out has been very healthy for me. I give and give and sometimes I can't find me. I'm sure many moms and wives go down that same rabbit hole. I realized that I hadn't really had "me" time since 1998. Living Single was ending and I was going through a divorce, contemplating a move from Los Angeles, so I thought that since I was by myself I was having "me" time. But my sister said, "healing time" is not "me time". I realize that I was healing from a lot of pain and my faith was shaken. So I was just going through the motions of being happy. Hanging with the ladies helps me see that "me time" doesn't mean I'm a bad mom or wife. If fact, it recharges my battery to be a better mom and wife.

Are you prepared to deal with the attacking and controversial conversations that are the breeding grounds for high drama on all of the reality shows?
I don't have the brain space to worry about, or strategize what I'm going to say in an upcoming conversation. I'm too busy worrying if I've missed my son's appointment, making sure by boobs aren't hanging to low, or what I will I feed my family for dinner. I don't have time to prepare for pettiness. What you see is what you get. My faith keeps me grounded. My faith causes me to hold myself to a higher standard. It takes a lot for me to reach my tipping point. Also, I don't take for granted the love and respect the public has for me. They've invited me into their living rooms for many years. They've experienced the highs and lows of my life. They don't view me as a stranger, they see me as their sister, niece or cousin and so, I will always be the Kim they know and respect.

Well just hang on and see how she will fair in the new season of R.H.o.A when it premieres on Sunday, November 8 at 8/7c.

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for … Janet Jackson has officially released her first album in seven years!
The pop star, who kicked off her world tour this summer, dropped Unbreakable on Thursday night which fans are absolutely loving … and so are we.
Out the gate, the 19-track disc gives us the Janet we love, nostalgia at it’s highest. After a stellar introduction, the album goes right into the singer’s new track, “BURNITUP!”  with Missy Elliott, who tweeted on Friday morning her excitement for Janet’s new project.
It is also worth noting that the only other feature on the project is J. Cole, who collaborated with Jackson on her lead single, “No Sleeep.”

This labor of love, produced by legendary producing duo, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, includes a sweet tribute to the 49-year-old’s late brother, Michael Jackson, who passed away in 2009. “It was a long, long time ago, But I remember it like yesterday, Amazing times while we were growing, Round all the bright stars,” Janet sings.

“The fall and winter never felt so cold, And though the words can never express it, I guess you feel I miss you much, There were days like never before, We can’t laugh together till we cry, But our love ain’t no material thing, And shall I see you in the next life,” the beauty sings before launching into the chorus.
‘UNBREAKABLE’ project is available now on iTunes.

Only Grace! Grace Jones Flashes Full Boobs During Book Signing
The legendary model hit the red carpet for her I’ll Never Write My Memoirs book signing on Thursday night in New York and spiced things up when she not only showed up two horse late, but when she flashed everyone in the room. Photographers had a field day and of course, the photos hit social media in a blink of a nipple eye.
The 67-year-old’s body, however, looked amazing. What’s ironic about this entire situation is that Jones’ flash session was during the promotion for her book where she calls out Rihanna, Kanye West, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus and other world renown pop stars for being “copycats” and following trends.
“Trends come along and people say, ‘Follow that trend’. There’s a lot of that around at the moment: ‘Be like Sasha Fierce. Be like Miley Cyrus. Be like Rihanna. Be like Lady Gaga. Be like Rita Ora and Si. Be like Madonna.’ I cannot be like them – except to the extent that they are already being like me,” she wrote.
Jones continued, “I have been so copied by those people who have made fortunes that people assume I am that rich. But I did things for the excitement, the dare, the fact that it was new, not for the money, and too many times I was the first, not the beneficiary.”

Showing off nipples in 2015 isn’t exactly what we would call out the box, but it is very … Grace.

The Festival of Praise Fall Tour 2015 is Coming to a City Near You
The biggest Gospel tour of the year –  The Festival of Praise International Tour – is coming to a city near you.
Festival of Praise, a 50-city concert tour features some of the best names in Gospel music including multiple GRAMMY®, Dove and Stellar Award-winning recording artists Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, Kim Burrell, with Hezekiah Walker (in concert 9/30-10/31)  and Israel Houghton (in concert 11/1-11/29). The tour also features Isaac Carree, Jessica Reedy and Zacardi Cortez.

Marcus Wiley of the “Yolanda Adams Morning Show” will be this year’s festival host. The national tour kicks-off at Fallbrook Church in Houston, TX today, September 30, and runs through November 29. The Festival of Praise International Tour will kick off in the first quarter of 2016.
Festival of Praise Tour 2015 will be held at arenas, performing arts centers and theaters, across the country. The family style tour, a phrase coined by Hammond and McClurkin, is a platform to uplift, motivate, encourage, inspire and entertain. The tour will feature some of Gospel’s biggest and brightest on the same stage with ensemble performances and music by each artist highlighting their classic hits and most memorable anthems.

In conjunction with this year’s theme, Hammond produced “Trying to Make It Home,” a song which features vocal performances by Hammond, McClurkin, Burrell, Walker, Carree, Reedy and Cortez.  The single is co-written by Hammond, Burrell, Carree, Reedy, Calvin Rodgers, and Phillip Feaster.
“The concept of ‘Trying to Make it Home,” is a collaborative effort by the artists on this tour and ties in perfectly with our purpose,” says Hammond, the co-creator of Festival of Praise. “With all the discourse, upheaval and negativity happening around the world, we all agreed that there’s one common thread that people are searching to find.  People are trying to reach a safe place and home represents that for many people.
Many of us are trying to make it home to family, trying to make it home from college, trying to make it home to a better marriage, trying to make it home from sickness and disease, and ultimately, all of us are trying to make it home to heaven.”

The Festival of Praise Tour 2014 was overwhelmingly successful, “We were blessed,” continues Hammond. “But we are back bigger and better. It will be an awesome evening of inspiration filled with a message of hope and restoration.”
The Festival of Praise Tour is created by Fred and Ray Hammond and produced by Face To Face, Inc.  Adam Zagor of Universal Attractions Agency is the booking agent and Al Wash of ALW Entertainment is the entertainment consultant.

Nia Long, Taye Diggs & Sanna Lathan Cover JET, Talk Black Hollywood Actor Struggles
In the latest issue of JET, the cast of The Best Man Holiday opened up about some of the obstacles Black actors struggle with in Hollywood.  And while looking gorgeous on the brand new cover, the trio, who carry on their love triangle drama in this sequal, spoke candidly about what they deal with as black actors.

Nia Long on getting the movie made:
“It wasn’t like we were just able to make this movie; we had to go through a process. So I feel successful in that alone….”

Sanaa Lathan on the portrayal of African-Americans in films:
“We as moviegoers want to see ourselves. A lot of Black films that have been out lately have been of a certain...stereotype and humor. This has a lot more depth. It’s not fitting the mold of what’s out now.

Taye Diggs on how films have changed since The Best Man:
“Our films were really starting to explode and it was an interesting time. But then, people started making movies without us in them…Sadly, we’re still slaves to a system we don’t really control.”

Best Man Holiday hits Theaters Nov 15
The November 25th issue of JET magazine is on newsstands November 4th.

Nicki Minaj wears a chain jumpsuit for Powerhouse event
Nicki Minaj is a big fan of the shock factor, especially when it comes to her outfits.
And the rapper didn't disappoint in a cleavage-bearing gold chain jumpsuit for a New York City event on Saturday.
The garment was black with a gold chain print that ensured the 30-year-old stood out when she attended Power 105.1's Powerhouse 2013, presented by Play GIG-IT, at the Barclays Center.
She wore her hair long and straight and her dark roots were quite visible, but Nicki didn't seem to mind.
Nicki's makeup was heavy and her fake eyelashes stood out much like her bright pink lipstick.
Holding a drink in hand, the rapper posed for photographs with other celebrities including rapper Lore'l and TV personality Yandy Smith.
Also the Queen Bee Lil Kim was in the house as well.
Recording artist K. Michelle was also in attendance along with singer-songwriter Sevyn Streeter and rapper Big Sean.
Nicki was joined at the bash by her boyfriend Safaree Lloyd Samuels and posted several pictures of the evening on Instagram.
Last month, the rapper launched her clothing collection for Kmart and shopyourway.com.
The star has defended creating her clothing line despite having no experience in the fashion industry.
The rapper said skepticism of stars lacking formal design training is 'understandable,' but she insists it's 'not about being a designer.'
Nicki explained that her intention is simply to make clothes that she would love to wear.
Aside from music, the star has formed part of the American Idol judging panel and even filmed a role in a movie this year, The Other Woman, also starring Cameron Diaz and Kate Upton.

Damon Dash Abandons Mansion After Failing To Pay Rent [PHOTOS]
It's not hyperbole to say that Damon Dash's finances are a wreck. The Roc-A-Fella Records founder allegedly abandoned an upstate New York mansion; leaving behind clothes, artwork and drug paraphernalia after his failure to keep up with the rent payments.
Reports Page Six:
The hip-hop mogul — who once said he was worth $50 million — owes $162,000 in back rent on the upstate Carmel pad, which boasts a music studio and pool.
The landlord's lawyer, Thomas Mullaney, told The Post that Dash “held the house hostage” for a year in a half while he dodged rental payments of $15,000 a month before he left it all behind.
The carpets were ruined, and his “clothing strewn on the floor as if it were trash,” according to the landlord's Putnam County lawsuit.
Check out photos of the Carmel, NY crib Dash left disheveled. Sitting on over two acres, the plash mansion is on sale for almost $3 million.
“Mr. Dash simply abandoned the property,” owner Elad Yoran huffs in his lawsuit filed in Putnam County.
Dash claims that he's fallen on hard times, but Yoran's lawyer said, “When I look online, he's rolling around in a chauffeured Roll Royce, and he's riding in a private plane.
Umm, those might have been older pictures, just saying.
Yoran has placed Dash's items into storage. However, reportedly Dash doesn't have enough money to go and retrieve said items that include clothes, artwork and jewelry, as a well as a bong.
For now, Dash is letting his lawyer handle things.
Dash's lawyer, Gregg Pinto, responded to the accusations in an e-mail, saying, “Elad Yoran reneged on a deal that he made and now wants to use bad press to gain leverage. Mr. Dash is not scared and wants to let a judge decide.”

Giving Back: Kevin Hart Donates $250,000 To Philly Schools
Philly native Kevin Hart is putting on for his city.  And also putting his money where his mouth is.
The Think Like A Man Too star recently announced his donation of $250,000 to the school system in the form of 200 computers.
With all of the struggles the Philadelphia school district (as well as many school districts), Kevin wanted to pitch in where he could.

"I am blessed to be in a position that allows me to give back to the city that made me who I am," Hart said in a statement.

Love it!
The funny man, who posted a pic of himself still fitting into kiddie desks at an elementary school, also posted a video pledging his cash.  And he said he's doing it not because someone told him to, but because he loves the people:

By the way, for anybody who has something negative to say about him making his donation pubic. Kevin has some Twitter words for you.  He popped back at a Twitter critic saying:
Tell em why you mad!

Kev's also got another movie on deck with Joy Bryant, Michael Ealy, Regina Hall and more called About Last Night. And his stand up comedy flick Laugh At My Pain is now on DVD.

Rumor Control! Worm Infested Weaves Are Making Women Sick?

The story, that was initially published by iReportersTV.com went viral. However, it’s apparently a HOAX. Snopes.com revealed that the same story was published in 2010. However, the name of the woman and the city had changed.
The story also lacked a specific date or name of the salon. Snopes.com also suggested that it would be impossible for maggots to live and hatch eggs in the weave after the first cleaning.

As a result, it’s still safe to wear weave without the fear of being eaten by maggots. OH LAWD…thank ya lol!

FYI…here’s the story…again…it is NOT true…
A woman claimed she was plagued with blinding headaches after she was fitted with a human hair weave reportedly filled with flesh-eating maggots that burrowed into her head.
Irene Myangoh, a personal assistant at a law firm in Nairobi, Kenya, paid a salon for the hair piece which doctors believe may have come from a corpse. After two weeks, she started suffering from severe headaches which painkillers did little to ease.
When blood tests and a brain scan also came back negative, she went back to her doctor who examined her scalp and reportedly found maggots eating into her skull. #FAINT

The doctor said the maggots had likely hatched from eggs contained in the hair which she believed came from a dead body, it was reported by African internet TV station iReportersTV. No further details were given about the maggots and the doctor could not be reached for comment by the station.

The manager of the salon said she had fitted ten weaves from the package where Miss Myangoh’s came from, adding that she had sold 150 pieces from the entire batch in less than two months. The woman, who did not want to be named, said: ‘I am shocked to hear this because this is the first time such a thing is happening to my clients. ‘I will get more information from my supplier because we import these weaves from the UK, USA and India.’ The USA…awww hell!

She said the supplier may have sent her rejects from a factory and promised to compensate Miss Myangoh, who had to shave her hair and take antibiotics for two weeks after her ordeal. Dr. CK Musau, a surgeon at Nairobi hospital, told iReportersTV that he had dealt with ten similar cases in the last six months.
He added: ‘It is unfortunate how the West has influenced Kenyan youth, especially ladies. ‘They should stick to their natural African beauty as opposed to trying to ape what they see.’

“Ape” what they see? What do you think?

Phil Jackson Blames The Kardashians For Lamar Odom’s ‘Drug Abuse’
Phil Jackson, who use to coach Lamar Odom during his days as an L.A. Laker, thinks he may have found Odom’s problem.
Jackson blames Lamar’s highly publicized marriage to Khloe Kardashian for the former baller’s downfall.

“We thought the Kardashian arrangement or marriage was a terrific thing for him because it was a family, it was structure, it was something that would give him support,” Jackson said during an interview with The Seth Davis Show.  ”Maybe it wasn’t.”
Lamar is believed to be on a path towards recovery from his alleged drug abuse at the moment, but much of the situation remains unclear. Odom and his estranged wife were seen together for the first time in months earlier this week; the Kardashian klan reportedly invited Lamar to see Kanye West’s concert at the Staples Center as a reward for staying sober.

Jill Scott and Dan Aykroyd have joined that cast of ‘Get On Up,’ the biopic on the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, states The Hollywood Reporter.
The Philadelphia native will play one of James Brown’s ex-wives, but the name hasn’t been given at this time. According to Brown’s wiki page, “Brown was married three times. He married his first wife, Velma Warren, in 1953. Over a decade later, the couple had separated, with their divorce finalized by 1969. Despite this, Brown and Warren maintained a close friendship that lasted until Brown’s death. Brown married his second wife, Deidre “Deedee” Jenkins, on October 22, 1970. The couple were separated by 1979 and their divorce was finalized less than a year later on January 10, 1981. His third and final marriage was to Adrienne Lois Rodriguez (March 9, 1950 – January 6, 1996). Brown married her in 1984. After a contentious marriage that made headlines due to domestic abuse complaints, Rodriguez died in January 1996.”
Aykroyd will play Ben Bart, the president of Universal Attractions, at one time one of New York’s largest agencies. The agency repped Brown for over 40 years.
The Help’s Tate Taylor will be directing the film with 42′s Chadwick Boseman portraying Brown. The story centers on the singer from humble beginnings to the height of stardom while recounting his battle with drug addiction, arrest for domestic violence, and flirtation with financial ruin.

Already cast in the film are cast members from The Help (Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, True Blood’s Nelsan Ellis) and AMC’s Low Winter Sun actor Lennie James.
Universal Pictures is distributing the film, with Imagine’s Brian Grazer and Erica Huggins serving as producers, along with Mick Jagger and Victoria Pearman under their Jagged Films banner. Production starts shooting in November as the film is set for an Oct. 17, 2014, release.
Scott was last seen in David E. Talbert‘s romantic comedy, ‘Baggage Claim.’ Aykroyd last appeared in HBO’s Behind the Candelabra with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon. He is also executive producing the upcoming John Belushi biopic that will star Emile Hirsch and is to shoot next year.

Chris Brown: ‘I Have Anger Issues’
The first step to dealing with a problem is admitting you have one. Chris Brown admits having trouble controlling his temper...

From TMZ
Chris Brown met with his probation officer Friday, and he squarely acknowledged he has a BIG problem with his temper ... TMZ has learned.
Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... Brown and his lawyer, Mark Geragos, went to the L.A. County Dept. of Probation Friday afternoon and had an hour-long chit-chat with his new probation officer. It's unclear to us why a new officer was assigned.
We're told Brown did not talk about allegedly throwing a punch at a guy in D.C. last Sunday. He did talk a lot about his current stint at a Malibu rehab joint, and the treatment he's receiving. We're told that treatment includes a heavy dose of psychological counseling.

Good Luck Dude!
