Juelz Santana Covers Rolling Out Magazine!

Rapper Juelz Santana got his big break as a part of the New York hip-hop group the Diplomats in the early 2000s. The rap group led by Santana and fellow rap legends Camron and Jim Jones rose to stardom, carrying unmatchable charisma and the borough identified as Harlem on their backs.

As a solo artist, Santana has been featured on various projects with some of music’s biggest stars. In 2005, he released a mixtape titled What the Game’s Been Missing. It was one of the top projects released that year. Santana landed his first top 10 hit with “There It Go! (The Whistle Song)” that earned a peak position of No. 6 and spent 24 weeks on the Billboard charts.

Santana has taken a step back to reflect on his achievements and tend to his family. Now a part of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop” show, he has given viewers a peek at his personal life. Joined by his gorgeous wife Kimbella, the two unveil the struggles and balances of being married within the entertainment industry.

Santana also started to release new music that has captivated the streets. With a new single out titled “Dip’d N Coke” featuring French Montana and fellow Diplomat phenomenon Camron, he has once again set himself apart in search of continued success.

#RHoA: Shamea Morton Wasn't the Least Bit Surprised Phaedra Parks Brought Up Those Rumors About Her and Kandi Burruss

"After her making those types of accusations, she just went too far," the #RHOA pal said.

Phaedra Parks shocked us all when she brought up rumors earlier this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta that Shamea Morton had hooked up with Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker. So imagine how Shamea herself felt when she watched that moment back on TV. "I played it back several times, but when I first saw it, my mouth just dropped open, I was like, 'Oh my God,’" Shamea recently told The Folks Over At Bravo’s The Daily Dish. "I was watching it with my fiancé actually, and he just burst out laughing."

Shamea said her fiancé, Gerald Mwangi, didn't take it too seriously because he knew it wasn't true, and after the initial shock of it all, she brushed off the comments as well. "They always say when you’re doing really well, your name is going to come up. When they’re not talking about you, that’s when you should worry. Half of those things and the person that kind of put them out there, she’s the devil in a dress," Shamea said. "So I always knew that. So when those things came out, I wasn’t too shocked."

Earlier this season of RHOA, Shamea had spilled some tea of her own about Phaedra, saying that she tried to "holler" at her ex-husband. When Porsha brought those comments up to Phaedra, that's when Phaedra mentioned the Kandi and Shamea rumors to Porsha and Shereé Whitfield. Shamea said that she never trusted Phaedra, but was still able to remain friendly with her prior to this incident. "I was cordial to Phaedra because of Porsha even last season in Miami, I tolerated Phaedra just because of Porsha’s new friendship with her," Shamea explained. "But now, after her making those types of accusations, she just went too far."

If there is a silver lining to this situation for Shamea, it's that her friendship with Kandi has not only survived but become even stronger through it all, especially since the RHOA hitmaker has faced her fair share of allegations about her sex life from Porsha as well this season. "We have been able to lean on each other through this ordeal," Shamea said. "I think we were able to vent to each other because we were both put in the hot seat and betrayed by people we once called friends."

Shamea can also thank Kandi for one of her favorite moments this season. "This season was definitely an eye opener for me, to say the least. I just could never [have] predicted some of the things that went on," she said. "I had some highs and lows this season, I had some exciting moments with me getting engaged and Kandi throwing me a surprise engagement party, and then I’ve had lows, like not having my best friend Porsha show up at the engagement party and things just kind of down spiraling from there. It’s been an emotional roller coaster."

#EMPIRE:  Wins the Wednesday night ratings!!!

“Empire” easily reclaimed its spot as Wednesday’s No. 1 show with its return. The FOX series came back from a three-month hiatus with a 2.8 rating among adults 18-49, a tenth of a point better than its last episode in December. “Shots Fired” had a more modest start, drawing a 1.1, a few tenths below “Lethal Weapon’s” average in the 8 p.m. timeslot earlier this season.

Elsewhere, “Law & Order: SVU” hit a season low on NBC with a 1.1, and “Chicago PD” (1.2) tied its season low. “Blindspot” (0.9) improved a tenth on its last episode. “Survivor” (1.7) and “Criminal Minds” (1.3) both held steady for CBS, while “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” (0.8) slipped a tenth.

ABC’s “Designated Survivor” fell 0.2 vs. last week to 1.1 following a block of comedy reruns. “Arrow” and “The 100” were both even with last week for The CW.

Sean Garrett is making his comeback this year as an artist, and he’s delivering something for the bedroom with his raunchy new single, “Do What You Say.”

Over a melodic track, The Pen requests his girl to undress, and he promises to follow her orders. “You know I want this / I’m gonna do what you say / When we start fuckin’ / I’m gonna do what you say / But I’ve got one question / How much can you take? / ‘Cause when we start fuckin’ / I’m gonna do what you say,” he sings.

“Do What You Say” follows Garrett’s Lil Yachty-assisted single “Look On Your Face,” and according to Sean, this is just one of the many emotions that his forthcoming album will feature.

New #HIPHOP from New Music: Kendrick Lamar – ‘The Heart Part 4’

King Kendrick returns. After posting a cryptic “IV” teaser on Instagram earlier in the day, Kendrick Lamar unleashes the fourth installment in his series “The Heart.” Part 4, which arrives nearly five years after “Part 3,” finds Kendrick fired up and firing on all cylinders.

“The five-foot giant woke up out of his sleep, ni**a,” declares K-Dot before taking shots at President Trump (“Donald Trump is a chump, know how we feel punk”) and an unnamed foe.

“My fans can’t wait for me to son your punk ass and crush your whole little shit,” he raps. “I’ll Big Pun your punk ass, you a scared little bitch / Tiptoein’ around my name, you’re lame / When I get at you, homie / Don’t you tell me you was just playin’.”

And make no mistake about it, Kendrick is here to claim the throne, with boastful rhymes (“I am the greatest rapper alive”) and a reference to Jay Z’s recent Songwriters Hall of Fame honor (“Ho, Jay Z Hall of Fame, sit your punk ass down”).

Over the explosive five-minute track, he also hints at the release of his next album on April 7. “You know what time it is / Ante up, this is here forever / Y’all got till April the 7th to get y’all shit together.”

“The Heart Part 1” appeared on 2010’s K. Dot Drops project, while “Part 2” was on Lamar’s Overly Dedicated mixtape, released later that same year. “Part 3,” featuring Ab-Soul and Jay Rock, dropped on the eve of good kid, m.A.A.d city‘s release in 2012.

It looks like Rihanna‘s two-year-old niece Majesty is following in her footsteps!

The 29-year-old entertainer took to her Instagram to share a super cute photo of the little girl, who is her cousin’s daughter, right after she got into her makeup!

In the photo, Majesty can be seen with eyeliner painted all across her face.

Awwww, “The T.D Jakes” Show Has Been Canceled

Tegna has decided not to renew The T.D. Jakes Show. Apparently Jakes was the one with poor ratings. After only six months, the show, which was only cleared in about 60% of the country, has officially been canceled.

“We are really proud of T.D. Jakes,” said Bob Sullivan, Tegna senior VP of programming. “The economics of daytime, not Jakes or the quality of the show itself, is what has taken us out of play for the second season, which is frustrating.”

The show premiered in Fall 2016 and aired primarily on Tegna-owned stations and re-aired on OWN at 5 p.m. ET. After two months of poor ratings, however, OWN executives moved the show from its daily evening slot to Sunday mornings, where the show ran as a marathon starting at 8 a.m. ET through the early afternoon.

Back in November 2016, Sony Music Entertainment is suing Producer/ Reality Star/ Tamar Braxton’s hubby Vincent Herbert after being accused withholding its share of money from Interscope Records.

Here’s an update on the situation.Tamar Braxton’s husband/music exec Vince Herbert has blown off a $3.4 million dollar legal battle with Sony Music – in which he is accused of refusing to hand over millions owed to the label – and now the company has headed to court demanding he be hit with a default judgement.

NBC Announces Premiere Date & Releases Trailer For ‘Marlon’ Starring Marlon Wayans & Essence Atkins

NBC has announced the premiere date and released the first official trailer for “Marlon” starring Marlon Wayans and Essence Atkins.

The new comedy series, loosely based on Marlon’s life, will premiere on Wednesday, August 16.

According to Deadline, “Marlon” centers on an inappropriate, but loving father (Wayans) who is committed to successfully co-parenting with his polar opposite ex-wife Angie (Atkins).

Angie is a type-A interior designer by trade and something of a control freak who did one reckless and spontaneous thing in her life: fell in love with Marlon.

Amir O’Neal and Notlim Taylor play Marlon and Angie’s children, Zachary and Marley. Diallo Riddle is Marlon’s right-hand man, Kevin, and Bresha Webb is Angie’s bestie, Yvette, aka the “THOT Princess.”

Mario Lopez to Host 'Candy Crush' TV Game Show

Mario Lopez has been announced as the host of the upcoming Candy Crush game show being produced at CBS!

The new series will premiere on July 9 and production began today (March 23).

Here is the show’s premise, according to THR: “Teams of two will have to use their wits and physical agility to compete on enormous interactive game boards, which CBS says will feature next-generation technology, as they conquer Candy Crush and are crowned champions.”

Mario is currently the host of Extra and he has previously hosted The X Factor and America’s Best Dance Crew.

“As a player, I am excited to step into the real-life Candy Crush arena,” Mario said in a statement.

Becky G, New Yellow Power Ranger, Will Play First Big-Screen LGBT Superhero

The Power Rangers‘ Trini will come to terms with her status as a superhero — and her identity as a queer woman — in the series’ upcoming movie reboot, marking a first in cinema.

The Yellow Ranger, played by Becky G, will be in the early stages of exploring her sexuality in the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and it just so happens that she’ll be the first big-screen superhero to be a decisive part of the LGBT community.

“For Trini, really she’s questioning a lot about who she is,” Power Rangers director Dean Israelite told THR. “She hasn’t fully figured it out yet. I think what’s great about that scene and what that scene propels for the rest of the movie is, ‘That’s OK.’ The movie is saying, ‘That’s OK,’ and all of the kids have to own who they are and find their tribe.”

Trini’s sexuality will come into question in the movie’s second act, when a fellow character assumes she’s out of sorts because of “boyfriend problems” — ultimately, they’re corrected to “girlfriend problems.”

David Yost, a gay actor who played the 1990s origin series’ Blue Ranger, said Trini’s new story marks a huge step for the community and will likely inspire many young kids who are having a tough time nailing down who they are.

“They really stepped up to the plate,” says Yost. “I think so many people in the LGBTQ community are going to be excited to see that representation.”

Bishop T.D. Jakes says The Church changing stance on LGBT community!

There’s long been a negative and tense history between the black church and the LGBT communities in America. And even though the LGBT rights movement has grown tremendously over the past few years and same-sex marriage has been legalized nationwide, there’s still a common thought that Black Christians are hostile and homophobic towards the LGBT community. However, Bishop T.D. Jakes recently sat down for an interview with “HuffPost Live,” and argued that the Black church is slowly progressing on the idea of sexuality.

While chatting with host Marc Lamont-Hill, Jakes explained that he thinks the relationship between the Black church and the LGBT community is improving.

“I think that it’s going to be diverse from church to church, every church has a different opinion on the issue and every gay person is different. And I think that to speak that the church, the Black church, the White church — or any kind of church you wanna call it — are all the same, is totally not true, ” Jakes said.

Jakes then explained that he believes that churches, although they shouldn’t be turning away people, have the right to worship as they see fit. And on the other hand, LGBT people have the right to find churches that embrace them and fit their beliefs.

“LGBTs of different types and sorts have to find a place of worship that reflects what your views are and what you believe like anyone else,” he said. “And the church should have its own convictions and values.”

Jakes then shared his own thinking on the matter and shared that it’s “evolved and evolving.”

“I think that where I am is to better understand we, the church, bought into the myth that this is a Christian nation,” Jakes said. And once you get past that …once you begin to understand that democracy, that a republic actually, is designed to be an overarching system to protect our unique nuances, then we no longer look to public policy to reflect biblical ethics.

“If we can divide, or what you would call separation of church and state, then we can dwell together more effectively because atheists, agnostics, Jews, all types of people, Muslims, pay into the government, the government then cannot reflect one particular view over another just because we’re the dominant group of religious people in [this] country because those numbers are changing every day. We need a neutralized government that protects our right to disagree with one another and agree with one another.”

Tamar Braxton Throws Daggers at Kenya Moore and Kenya STRIKES BACK!

Tamar Braxton appeared on Bravo's "WWHL" Monday and Andy Cohen asked her about Kenya Moore's "Gone With The Wind Fabulous" single. Tamar came back with, “She sings?” I didn’t know that was a serious record. No shade.”

When asked directly about Kenya, she said “She’s not my favorite..My favorite is NeNe."  She then gave a "disgusted" look and added, "Something about the thirst of it all...the whole pageant thing.”

Shots fired....and Miss USA was not pleased.

Are Safaree Samuels And Nicki Minaj No Longer A Couple?

Rumor has been spreading that Nicki Minaj is no longer dating her boyfriend Safaree Samuels since May when she tweeted, “SINGLE N READY TO MINGLE,” but now there might be some photographic evidence to confirm the breakup.

TMZ has obtained photos of Safaree with his shirt off and his chest tattoos of Nicki’s face and name appear to be covered up completely. Along with this, his arm forearm tattoo of Nicki has considerably faded, leading to speculation that he is in the process of getting it removed completely.

In a recent interview with L’Uomo Vouge, Nicki opened up about her future but did not mention Safaree once, saying that she was still looking for her soulmate.

“In order to earn her success, she has created the image of a volatile and man-eating woman, who places her career above all else.” the Italian Vogue magazine writes.”It is therefore surprising to hear her dreaming about a traditional family with ‘an upright man, who will take care of me. The time is not yet ripe, but when I decide to get married and become a mother’, she adds, speaking of her future soul mate, ‘I would like to take a hiatus and dedicate myself completely to my child’.”

This time she’s bringing along a panel — model Chrissy Teigen, fashion guru Joe Zee, DIY YouTuber Leah Ashle and interior designer Lauren Makk round out the co-hosts for The F.A.B. (Fun And Beautiful).

According to Deadline,

Banks will moderate the panel of lifestyle experts who also will bring in celebrities, Internet influencers, experts and everyday people and tackle topics ranging from fashion and beauty to food and design to doing it yourself and even starting a business.

We’re here for it. The F.A.B. will air on ABC sometime 2015.

While Nelly continues to make moves in his business life and will soon be co-starring with Ms. Jackson in a BET reality show, his biggest pride has always been his children, two of which are his and two of which he adopted when his sister passed away in 2005 after a three year battle with leukemia. He’s always been very vocal about his love for all four of them and had a few choice words for an Instagram troll who took a shot at one of his daughters.

Nelly recently uploaded a picture of his daughter, with a loving caption, reading:

“Awwwwwww look at my babe..!!!!! Wow STINK I am so proud of the woman you are becoming..but you will always be my lil girl.”

One follower felt the need to throw his negative energy at the St. Louis rapper, calling her a “Thot,” with Nelly responding that he would legit lay hands on the troll, but decided to chill.

Bishop Jakes Calls Critic A Coward, Defends Preachers Wearing Bling

Apparently, us sinners aren’t the only ones that clap back at each other on social media — apparently, so do saints. We caught Bishop T.D. Jakes politely checking one of his critics, who questioned the fact that he was wearing a diamond ring in one of his Instagram photos. An Instagram user by the name of @photo_syn_the_sis, left the following observation on Jakes’ Instagram page:

I didn’t know that preachers wear diamond rings, preachers are supposed to be humble Like Jesus was and preach the real truth. You are not even close being like Jesus, you flash your ring, but the truth is you say you know God but do you really. God wouldn’t flash Jewelry around you really need to read your Bible. Acts 2:38 everything in the Bible is the truth, people need to open their eyes and read there Bible not listen to the things you want them to hear. Their BLOOD is on you @bishopjakes The things you say is sad you teach what you think they need to hear, But do you teach on how the Hair is a women’s Glory no you teach what you want them to hear. The ring is not nearly as opulent as the jewels on the high priest’s vest that God designed. It had diamonds also Exodus 39:11  Incidentally, heaven is paved with gold so don’t go there either. It is people like you who have taught what they couldn’t explain. Pharisees indeed! I hope one day you will move from thinking women having uncut hair is more important that bridling your tongue. I love you nonetheless and I pray that all that water you were baptized in would soften your heart! Don’t follow people you don’t believe are preaching truth and you won’t have to lock your page! Retailers Promote ‘Ebola Costumes’ For Halloween (And Some of You Think It’s Cool)

*With Halloween only a few short weeks away, costume outlets are ablaze with what kind of dollars they can bring in from the latest costume craze. What will it be this year? A superhero? A scary monster? A hazmat suit? An Ebola victim?

Social media buzz is leaning towards the last two.

Oh yeah, remember “Breaking Bad,” the super-popular TV series with Bryan Cranston as chemistry professor-turned-drug-kingpin “Walter White” and Aaron Paul as the lovable, strung-out-junkie-turned-sidekick, “Jessie?”

Well, costume sellers say they still have left over yellow jumpsuits, rubber gloves and masks from last Halloween, when that costume was the sh*t. This year they predict some of you Breaking Bad cult members may want to re-purpose those digs to display your take on Ebola.

For anyone who thinks that might be cool, I’ll bet you wouldn’t if it hit closer to home.

Harlem has given birth to some of hip-hop’s most colorful stars including Puff Daddy, A$AP Rocky, and Teyana Taylor. G.O.O.D. Music’s First Lady, who’s known for her massive sneaker collection, takes Elle on a tour of her hometown while modeling some of fall’s coolest looks from Ellery Mayfair, Calvin Klein, and her favorite, Alexander Wang.

She rocks a red Coach houndstooth parka, Balmain biker jeans, and Valentino camouflage sneakers while posing in front of the “Big L” mural and shows off her tomboy style and toned abs in a Kim Haller bra and T by Alexander Wang leather track pants.

Ben Vereen's Son Arrested for Shoplifting

Actor Ben Vereen's son, Ben Jr., arrested for shoplifting in New York…

Ben Vereen Jr. was arrested yesterday after getting caught swiping toothpaste, toothbrushes, and phone chargers from an Upper West Side CVS.

According to Page Six Ben Jr. tussled with security guards before cops showed up to arrest him.

The actor's son has since been charged with robbery. Turns out sticky fingers isn't Jr's only problem…

Apparently police officers found a crack pipe with crack residue in the police car that transported Ben Jr. to the station.

Now, in addition to robbery, Ben Vereen Jr is being charged with tampering with physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance.

Jackie Christie confirmed the news telling Hip Hollywood,

 “I do know production is starting, sooner than later I hope. But yeah we are going to get started pretty soon.”

Basketball Wives LA season 3 starred Jackie Christie, Draya Michele, Maylasia Pargo, Sundy Carter  Brittish Williams and Brandi Maxwell.

No word on who is returning.

Funk Fest Tampa brings a sharp Jill Scott to Raymond James Stadium

 “Those off you that have true love, I hope you make that good love tonight,” Jill Scott laughed as she wound up her 90-minute set at Funk Fest Tampa just outside Raymond James Stadium.

“Think of me once – maybe twice,” the Philadelphia soul singer encouraged the crowd of more than 10,000 as she prepared to sing her big hit, He Loves Me (Lyzel in E Flat).

Oh No Ma’am: Scientist Stumbles Upon ‘Puppy-Sized’ Spider in the Rainforest

What would you do if you were walking along the forest and stumbled across what you thought was a small furry animal — but it turned out to be a MASSIVE spider?

That’s exactly what happened to Piotr Naskrecki during a nighttime walk in a rainforest in Guyana. He heard a rustling sound of a critter at his feet & turned on his flashlight.

“When I turned on the light, I couldn’t quite understand what I was seeing,” said Naskrecki, an entomologist and photographer at Harvard University’s Museum of Comparative Zoology.

It took a second, but that’s when he realized he was looking at a ginormous spider.

Known as the South American Goliath birdeater (Theraphosa blondi), the colossal arachnid is the world’s largest spider, according to Guinness World Records. Its leg span can reach up to a foot (30 centimeters), or about the size of “a child’s forearm,” with a body the size of “a large fist,” Naskrecki told Live Science. And the spider can weigh more than 6 oz. (170 grams) — about as much as a young puppy, the scientist wrote on his blog.

Some sources say the giant huntsman spider, which has a larger leg span, is bigger than the birdeater. But the huntsman is much more delicate than the hefty birdeater — comparing the two would be “like comparing a giraffe to an elephant,” Naskrecki said.

As Naskrecki moved in closer to the spider, he noticed the creature rubbing its legs against his abdomen. As it turns out, the spider was brushing off hairs that have microscopic barbs on them. Whenever they get caught in a predator’s eyes or any mucous membranes they are “extremely painful and itchy,” and can stay there for days, he said.

Lucky for him, the venomous spiders aren’t deadly to humans. While a bit from the creature would really hurt, it’s not nearly life-threatening. They attack anything they encounter, but primarily feed on insects and earthworms that come out at night.

After catching the specimen he found in Guyana, which was female, Naskrecki took her back to his lab to study. She’s now being studied in a museum.

We have absolute no desire to go to Guyana. In fact, we’ll stay away from neighboring countries just to be safe.

Chris Webber part of group trying to purchase Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks have had a rough couple of years. Even though the team has had moderate success on the court, making it to the playoffs, the arena is usually pretty empty on game night. The Hawks most recent troubles stem from a racist tinged e-mail sent by owner  Bruce Levenson, and inappropriate comments from team GM Danny Ferry.

Levenson is selling his majority shares, and so far there are about six potential buyers, including a group that involves Hawks legend, Dominique Wilkins. But, he isn’t the only retired NBA that’s interested, NBA TV analyst Chris Webber is too.

Chris Webber is part of a potential ownership group that has submitted a letter of interest to the NBA about its desire to purchase the Atlanta Hawks, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Webber would have a modest financial investment in the partnership, but is expected to emerge as a face of the bid with an ultimate goal of becoming a prominent figure on the basketball side for the Hawks, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Webber, 41, has had a home in Atlanta for the past decade and has been working to connect with community officials and organizations to make a case for reselling the organization to an increasingly dubious public.
