Rihanna has snagged another cover. This time, she’s sharing the spotlight with the
wild kingdom, sporting snakes (we’re guessing some of ‘em are photoshop trickery) as hefty accessories. Directed by artist Damien Hirst, this will be GQ’s 25th anniversary issue.
The full portfolio will be on newsstands and available to download from 31 October.
Shannon Brown Traded to Washington Wizards
The Phoenix Suns traded four players to Washington Wizards in exchange for Center Emeka Okafor and a protected first round draft pick in 2014.
Phoenix sends Center Marcin Gortat, Point Guard Kendall Marshall, Guard Shannon Brown and Guard Malcolm Lee to the Wizards in exchange for Okafor and a top 12 first-round pick.
The trades put the Suns in position to possibly have four first-round draft picks in 2014: the Suns’ pick, Indiana’s pick (top-14 protected), Minnesota’s pick (top-13 protected), according to a team press released.
All four players have just one year remaining on their current contracts with the Suns. Gortat was due $7,727,280 this season, while Shannon Brown is owed $3,500,000, Kendall Marshall with $2,005,560 and Malcolm Lee at $854,389. The team had two more years of team options on Marshall averaging around $2.5 million per season.
General Manager Ryan McDonough said all four players have been “valuable members of the Suns family the past few years” in a released statement. “We have enjoyed working with each of them and appreciate their hard work and professionalism.”
Like the Suns players, Washington Center Emeka Okafor has one year left on his deal worth $14,544,687.

OOOPS: TLC tells Pebbles, Crystal Jones to ‘get over’ biopic portrayals
TLC & Pebbles - Cover Since the acclaimed TLC biopic, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, premiered this past Monday, the girl group’s former manager, Pebbles, and their ex-member, Crystal Jones, have both voiced their disdain over the biopic, saying it falsely paints them in a negative light. Although the surviving members of TLC have previously taken the high road when it comes ot dealing with their former associates, T-Boz and Chilli are now saying that Pebbles and Jones just need to “get over it” and let their old issues go. This week, T-Boz and Chilli stopped by V-103 Atlanta’s “The Big Tigger Show” and Chilli vented her growing frustrations over Jones’ gripes. “So Crystal, I would be mad if I got kicked out of my own group too and TLC blew up. I would have some harbored feelings so I understand her, so sorry,” T-Boz said. “She put out our movie, trying to sabotage it with a code and put it on the internet. It’s no need for all that. I’ve apologized for the way things went down,” said T-Boz, before lamenting Jones’ unceremonious exit from the group. “I did bring Pebbles to the table.
The way me and Lisa handled it may have not been the best, but I’m not, at 43, after saying sorry, gonna talk about some mess. T-Boz then sent out a message to anyone who’s mad about their biopic. “All these scorned heffas need to get over it. Pray about it and grow. Like, get over it!” she said. T-Boz also shared some critical words for Pebbles as well. “The one thing you can’t take from her, we’ve always said, she helped us out so much. She did a lot for our career and that you can’t take. But if you’re telling a story and it’s even 20 years ago, you can’t tell someone how they’re perceived situations from their end, how they felt. That doesn’t take away the good that you did. We’re telling a story of what happened when we were 19 and 20 years old. No, I didn’t appreciate paying a million dollars per name. There are certain things we don’t have to like. You move on from certain people. I’m not a bitter person. I let things go and I move on,” said T-Boz. Well, clearly TLC isn’t budging on their stance, regardless of whether or not Pebbles or Jones sue them for slander.
Amber Rose Celebrates 30th Birthday With Wiz Khalifa & Sebastian At The Beach
Amber Rose hit the beach with her hubby Wiz Khalifa, and their son Sebastian, in celebration of her 30th birthday. The couple shared pics on Instagram of their day of fun in the sun, and also posted a few from their evening outing.
Amber held onto their 8-month-old son while he enjoyed the water – and captured a shot of his little feet as he bounced in the sand.

A$AP Rocky told the press that he appreciates that ”urban culture and street fashion” is being recognized by “people who have a level of taste for high fashion or art.”
During the Style Icon Awards ceremony, A$AP also took the stage to perform his tracks “Fashion Killa” and “Wild for the Night.”
Among the other winners at the Style Icon Award winner were actress Tilda Swinton and South Korean rapper G-Dragon.

Marlo Hampton Denies Trying to Upstage NeNe Leakes, Says People Should Stop Hating On Her
Some love her. Some hate her. But most agree, she certainly keeps the show interesting. Whom are we referring to? The fashion forward reality star, Marlo Hampton. In addition to becoming a regular on the Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA), the reality star is also stirring up a bit of controversy on BRAVO’s ‘I Dream of NeNe: the Wedding‘. What’s more? Off camera, there are rumors that she and NeNe were involved in a verbal spat, weeks ago, on RHOA. And while she’s not answering all the questions we’d love to hear about, she is giving a bit of insight while chatting with Egypt Sherrod on Atlanta radio station, V-103. Check out a few excerpts:
On how she gives back, via her community service program ‘Glam It Up Girls’:
It’s called Glam It Up Girls. It’s all foster care girls between the age of 13-18 that’s in foster care. You know just letting them know the world is there. Doing activities once a month. We went to a Keri Hilson concert. We have glam it up events where they get their hair and nails done. Just all different kinds of activities.
On causing friction on ‘I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding’, by not wearing the appropriate dress for one of the bridesmaids events:
Hindsight, I will say I could’ve worn the blue dress. But don’t come to me asking me to wear the dress the day before. You had already told me the week before something blue. I went and found that dress, had it altered, then you’re going to come the day before…can you wear this ugly shade of blue dress? They left the ugliest shade of blue for me.
On why NeNe’s other bridesmaids seem to be against her:
I have no idea.
If she’s trying to upstage NeNe:
I would never do that to a friend. I’m just Marlo. And I mean it is what it is. And like this morning when I got up and got dressed, my friends were like, just be you. I’m like oh my God. She’s like, ‘Do your sequins!! Do you!!’ Didn’t you say that Heather? She’s sitting here. So no I’m not trying to upstage her at all. I don’t try to upstage anyone. I just do me. When I look in the mirror I wanna look good. When I walk out, it’s for me.
If she’s happy that Greg and NeNe have remarried:
I’m super happy for that. Super happy. I wish nothing but the best for them.
On if she was in a physical altercation with NeNe, while filming for RHOA:
None of that is real. I’m going to tell you this much. I definitely didn’t get into a fight with anyone, to where I was going to have a physical altercation. And I definitely didn’t see Nene bust no producer upside the head with a bottle.
What She Wants People To Know About Her:
I mean come on you guys. You know there’s some editing. What you see is real but Marlo’s real. What you see is usually what you get. But the thing about Marlo, I’m just real. Stop hating and being upset and forming an opinion about me because of some damn clothes. I mean, you don’t even know my middle name. Just because of the way I dress, that’s intimidating you? Get on my team and maybe I could help you out sometime….So it’s like I just want people to realize I’m human. I’m human. I have feelings. I’m a great person, I’m a fun person, I’m an Aquarius. So, if I don’t get along with you, something’s wrong. And I mean, as black women, we need to stick together more and stop going against each other.
On why she isn’t an official housewife or cast mate:
You know what, I have no idea. And I know one reason I’m not a housewife and then other people say well some of the other ladies are not housewives, but at least they have a fiancé. Kenya, you know had the fiancé. Everyone had that boyfriend/girlfriend, so you know I don’t know, but I’m having fun, so I don’t care what the title is. Just as long as I’m on there, I have a blast. I mean it has opened so many doors for me, me and these young ladies, and just being able to work with Bravo, it’s just an awesome network.

On making new music and doing a solo album:
"It’s so crazy, timing for me is everything. I think that everything seems to be working right on time. People have been asking about my solo album for such a long time. When I originally came from Cheetah Girls, I was making music that was real to me but not believable. I think there was a disconnect there. I am a grown woman and I’ve been through a lot. The most important thing about my music is that we don’t jump the gun and throw anything out there. I want to make sure that it’s going to actually connect with my audience."
Advice to men on the first date:
"The best thing a man can do on a first date is be a friend. I think that’s the biggest mistake men make on the first date. Just get to know me. Be my friend. Just kick it with me as if I was hanging with a homeboy. It shouldn’t be this awkward situation. It should be that we’re there, having a great time. But the worst thing a man can do on a first date is act like he’s your boyfriend. I think attempting to hold hands is completely ridiculous. A lot of PDA, that’s awkward and uncomfortable. I think be cool, be chill and you’ll be successful."
On dating Rob Kardashian and keeping her love life private:
I think the most important thing that I’ve learned is that you live and you learn. Try not to make the same mistakes twice. This time around for me, I think it’s just something you have to keep sacred. You have to keep to yourself and keep things private. Control it as much as you can.”

Berry Gordy To Be Honored By Ebony Magazine & The Jacksons As Part Of ‘Power 100’ Gala
Ebony magazine’s celebration of its “Power 100” list will have a Motown vibe — Berry Gordy is being honored with a lifetime achievement award, The Jacksons will perform in his honor, and the cast of “Motown The Musical” is due to appear, as well.
The Jacksons will pay tribute to the Motown founder at a gala event at Lincoln Center in New York City on Nov. 4. Gordy signed the brothers when they were known as the Jackson 5, led by pre-teen Michael Jackson.
The event will also honor those who made the list of power brokers in the black community, including President Barack Obama, Kerry Washington, “Fruitvale” actor Michael B. Jordan, Harry Belafonte and others. Nick Cannon is slated to host the event.
Snooki & JWoww Throw "Night Of The Living Drag" Halloween Bash
Hitting the red carpet for their signature Halloween gig in New York City, former "Jersey Shore" starlets, Nicole Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley attended the Snooki and JWoww Halloween Event: "Night Of The Living Drag."
Straight out of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Game of Thrones," Jenni and Nicole posed for multiple photos each dressed in their own iconic queen costumes. "Snooki" took the look of a sort of ice maiden, clad all in white from head to foot. JWoww stood tall and regal, looking like the ferocious Queen of Hearts.

Michael Jackson named top earning ‘dead’ celebrity
Just weeks after Forbes released its list of the 100 top-earning celebrities with Madonna sitting pretty at the #1 spot, banking $125 million between June 2012 and June 2013, they released a list of the top earning ‘dead’ celebrities. At the top of the list, is Michael Jackson, the King of pop, who even after his passing earned more than Madonna, by well over $30 million.
Jackson earned $160 million in the past year, more than two years after his death. According to Forbes, that makes him the “top-earning celebrity overall.”
A majority of Jackson’s “afterlife” earnings come from the Cirque du Soleil tribute show, “One,” which was created in his honor. Jackson’s estate also deemed to be lucrative, earning money for his music catalogue, Cirque’s Michael Jackson Immortal tour and album sales.
Jackson, the clear leader in earning this year, is followed on the list by rock legend Elvis at $55 million, beauty icon Elizabeth Taylor at $25 million and Bob Marley at $18 million.
Mother rips off her son’s genitals and attempts to superglue it back on him
A deranged mother in Houston ripped off her 6-year-old son’s genitals and attempted to superglue it back on him. According to the Houston Chronicle, Jennifer Marie Vargas, 34, became upset with her son and began berating him.
She eventually grabbed his penis and pulled him to her as hard as she could. The hard pull caused the boy’s scrotum to become detached. Bleeding occurred and Vargas poured alcohol on the laceration and attempted to reattach her son’s genitals by using superglue. Once the bleeding slowed, she put paper towels in her son’s underwear and told him to go to bed.
The boy’s father came home from work and discovered the boy crying and his underwear full of blood. He rushed his son to the hospital and doctors discovered a laceration that was 4 centimeters long and his penis was bruised. The child went into surgery and is now recovering with his father.
Jennifer Vargas was arrested and charged with assault. She faces 10 years in prison.
