Drake Is British GQ’s Best Dressed Man Of 2016
The British edition of GQ has revealed its selection of the 50 best dressed men in world, and coming in at number one is Drake. It's the rapper's first appearance on the list.
"Drake has been keenly and consistently developing a unique look over the last few years, which combines grime-y terrace fashion inspired by Italian menswear brand Stone Island, with preppy American court-side sportswear," Conrad Quilty-Harper wrote. "If men can wear incongruous, colourful, even cosy clothes out and about without losing an iota of their masculinity, it’s mostly thanks to Drake." This praise is a far cry from how Drake's sartorial choices in videos like "No New Friends" made him the subject of memes.
Other stars on the list include Zayn Malik, A$AP Rocky, Skepta, Pharrell, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who is more stylish than Riz MC but less so than Jaden Smith. Check out the whole thing here.
#RHoA: Kenya Moore Calls Phaedra Parks A ‘Greased Pig,’ Doesn’t Believe Kandi Burruss Threesome Rumors
Kenya Moore has never been one to mince words, especially when it comes to talking about Phaedra Parks — her longtime nemesis and fellow “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-star. The duo appeared to be forging a friendship in Season 9 of the Bravo reality show, but it seems their relationship has returned to its former, more contentious state.
The former Miss USA made an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” Tuesday night during which she discussed Phaedra Parks’ feud with Kandi Burruss and more. Kenya told host Andy Cohen she wasn’t “surprised” when rumors began circulating about Kandi and husband Todd Tucker having had a threesome with a “friend” of the “RHOA” cast. She also said she wasn’t quick to believe anything being spread around by Phaedra. Kenya said Kandi has always been truthful in the past, noting that Phaedra has been caught “in several lies.”
“You know Phaedra, she’s like a slippery, greased pig, you can’t catch her,” Kenya quipped (via Daily Mail). “You just can’t reel her in.”
Kandi and Shamea Morton, the woman accused of having joined the Grammy award winner and her husband in bed, have denied Phaedra’s claims. Shortly after the “RHOA” episode in which the allegations were made aired, Kandi retweeted a fan’s post about haters resorting to lying in a last-ditch effort. Shamea also addressed the situation on social media, sharing a picture of text regarding “a best friend” — likely a reference to Porsha Williams, who did nothing to stop Phaedra’s story — sitting back while someone else spreads lies about you.
The drama played out in a Jan. 1 episode of “RHOA.” During the show, Phaedra, Porsha and Sheree Whitfield, who returned to the series in Season 8, sat down to spill some tea. During their conversation, Porsha revealed that Kandi and Todd had gotten “close” to Shamea. The real meaning behind what she said went right over the mother of three’s head, forcing Phaedra to say it flat out. Sheree was taken aback, as was evident from her one-on-one interview following the sit down. She called the entire situation “messy,” not taking a side.
“That sounds like she just sorta outed her for being a lesbian,” Sheree said. “So now you’re rolling in the dirt with Phaedra and Kandi too? They are just airing out each other’s laundry.”
Taraji P. Henson On the Math of Hidden Figures and Trying to Keep Her Cool Around the Obamas!
Hidden Figures made a huge splash this year as a movie that paid due to the real-life women who worked for NASA in the segregated West Area Computers division of Langley Research Center in the 1960s, pushing forward the message that STEM is, and has always been, an area for women of color–no matter how much men have historically tried to erase and keep them out.
In the film, Taraji P. Henson plays mathematics genius Katherine Johnson, who Henson considers to be a personal hero. The intense memorization the role called for, she says in this clip from Jimmy Kimmel Live, was essentially choreography with the supervision of a mathematician. We can see how Henson really nailed the math in the opening scene. I’m reminded a bit of Rami Malek talking about how he had to take typing lessons for Mr. Robot.
Hidden Figures is an important movie in so many ways, so it makes sense that Michelle Obama held a screening of the film at the White House. The actress pokes some fun at the image of Octavia Spencer meeting the Obamas that circulated, joking that she pulled her starstruck face together the best she could. Another amazing feat, as we’re not sure we could maintain any amount of chill next to the First Lady.
Henson also talks about Empire, which comes back in March, meeting Prince, private islands, and how she doesn’t indulge in math.
New Music: Ray J – How Did I Know
Ray J is looking for Raydemption all year and he’s getting started with his new single “How Did I Know.”
Over a head-boppin’, piano-laden instrumental, Ray recaps his life, including his days as a “player” on “For the Love of Ray J.” But he also focuses on his 2016 marriage to Princess Love.
“Now I got a wife that will kill me, man / You know I’m a new man / Look at the ring on my left hand / I got business out in Thailand / I’m doing deals with the white man,” he sings.
Speaking of big deals, Ray is celebrating a major one. TMZ reported that the singer/reality star signed a $1 million deal for his appearance on “Celebrity Big Brother UK.”
Prior to dropping “How Did I Know,” Ray released his Chris Brown-assisted single “Famous,” which is also reportedly set to appear on the album. The track raised eyebrows in November due to lyrics inspired by his ex, Kim Kardashian.

New Hip Hop Video: Big Sean – ‘Moves’
Released today (Jan. 4), the Mike Carson-directed clip finds Sean dancing in the hypnotic clip, which plays with special effects throughout. As the visual continues, the Don is surrounded by leotard-clad ladies who are showing off some moves of their own.
Recently, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper revealed that the upcoming LP will be a form of rebirth.
“I [told my friend], ‘Sometimes I feel like I was an old man and didn’t succeed in life and asked for a second chance, and this is my second chance.’ He was like, ‘Make that the album,'” explained Sean. “People who can be inspired by it, that’s who I’m doing it for. Everybody else can f**k off or whatever.”

Mariah Carey Fires Creative Director Following New Year’s Eve Blunder
And the BLAMING Continues………
In the wake of her ill-fated performance on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest,” Mariah Carey is opting to move forward without her creative director, Anthony Burrell.
A source confirmed the news with ET Online on Wednesday (Jan. 4). “He’s not being brought back [in 2017] for a number of reasons,” said the insider.
One of those reasons apparently stems from the botched New Year’s Eve performance. Burrell reportedly had Carey’s back-up singers moved off stage prior to the mishap-filled set, leaving her without their vocal support when her in-ears malfunctioned.
Burrell has not addressed the alleged firing on social media. But he said he was “heartbroken” following the New Year’s Eve incident.
“I haven’t been able to watch NYE performance. 30 sec from live TV, boss couldn’t hear her own vocal in her in-ears from Mic. #heartbroken,” he tweeted. “Sucks to see all of the hateful messages. Peep are so quick to judge, not knowing we were all in a state of panic.”
Following the New Year’s Eve performance, Mariah revealed that she felt “mortified” on stage. “It’s not going to stop me from doing a live event in the future,” she added. “But it will make me less trusting of using anyone outside of my own team.”
Anthony Anderson and his Estranged Wife are Reconciling?
Anthony Anderson and his wife Alvina Stewart have reconciled. According to a report, his wife of 17 years rescinded her divorce petition. Initially, she had filed in 2015, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of their split. But it appears that the pair have worked out any issues that they may have had.
The couple married in the late 90’s and have two children, Kyra and Nathan. Neither have commented on their split or reconciliation.
In other news, the 46-year-old actor was nominated for a 2017 Golden Globe for best performance by an actor in a television series for his work on “Black-ish.”
Azealia Banks Has Been Suspended From Facebook
According to reports, Facebook suspended Azealia’s page after she made some crude remarks about the entire nation of Brazil — referring to the population as ‘third world freaks.’
You know Brazilian social media users do not play! It appears as though enough people reported Azealia’s hateful rhetoric and thus her account got suspended.
It’s unclear if her account is gone for good or just temporarily.
Last year, Twitter suspended Azealia’s account when she went off on Zayn Malik with racist and homophobic comments.
IN POLITICS: Eric Holder Hired By California To Help Fight Upcoming Legal Battles Against Trump White House.
Former Attorney General Eric Holder has been hired by the state of California to fight any possible legal battles against the incoming Donald Trump regime. Many in the California Legislature, which is overwhelmingly controlled by Democrats, are wary of Trump’s cabinet picks and their white supremacist, xenophobic, sexist, and science refuting stances on issues such as immigration, the environment, civil rights, and others. The announcement of Holder’s hiring came on Wednesday. Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton won California by more than four million votes. Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States of America on January 20th. Holder was Attorney General under President Barack Obama‘s administration from 2009 to 2015 and was the first African-American to ever hold the position. Attorney General Loretta Lynch took Holder’s place, which made her the first African-American woman to ever hold the position. Holder is currently a partner at the law firm Covington & Burling and focuses on representing states against the federal government. The payment Holder and his firm will receive has yet to have been decided but will be made publicly available once it has.
Holder remarked in a statement, “I am honored that the Legislature chose Covington to serve as its legal adviser as it considers how to respond to potential changes in federal law that could impact California’s residents and policy priorities. I am confident that our expertise across a wide array of federal legal and regulatory issues will be a great resource to the Legislature.”
California Senate Democratic Leader Kevin de Leon and California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon, in a statement made after the election of Trump, vowed to “lead the resistance to any effort that would shred our social fabric of our Constitution.” They also called Trump’s views “inconsistent with the values of the people of California.”
Muhammad Ali’s estate finalized, family feud looms
Details of the will are now emerging and some are saying it could start a family feud. One media outlet reported that a family insider stated, “They all play nice-nicey now, but simmering tension goes back decades. None of the kids trust Lonnie, all are from different mothers and hate each other. Lonnie is said to get double what the kids have, which has left many seething. They didn’t like her before their dad passed away, accusing her of preventing them from seeing him. When he died some sucked up to Lonnie just to get as much as they can, but the truth is that they all did it — then accused the other siblings of doing it. Once [the] money is in the bank it looks like they will cut all ties with each other but not before their true feelings are aired.”
An attorney for the Muhammad Ali Trust, which governs the distribution of his estate, said, “It was crafted to reflect his specific wishes and to protect his legacy.”
According to information released, each of the children will receive $6M and Lonnie Ali is to receive more than double that amount. There were reportedly deep family divides around the time of Ali’s death regarding the non-compliance with Muslim burial practices. Muslim family members were upset that Ali was not buried within 48 hours of his death and that his pallbearers included Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and Will Smith but did not include his two sons.
Ali’s only biological son, Muhammad Ali Jr., had until recently been living in poverty and dealing with a drug addiction. He was living with his mother and recently moved to an upscale Chicago hotel and has not been in contact with his siblings for support. He recently revealed to the media that his family is at odds with his brother Asaad who was adopted by his father and Lonnie in 1986.
Clooney Twins activate Gweorge and Amal expecting?
The Daily Beast reported yesterday that the Daily Star in Lebanon is reporting that Amal and George Clooney are pregnant with twins. I don’t know the accuracy rate of Lebanon’s Daily Star. And Amal has been pregnant-but-not-really-pregnant like once a month since she and George got married. So, obviously, keep your skepticism close. But… but…
The story might be worth considering and not dismissing immediately. We’re not hearing about it from the Daily Mail, or a British paper. It’s not coming from the Enquirer or Star Magazine. These are, supposedly, “family sources” talking to a Lebanese publication. Also, the Clooneys have been undercover for a couple of months now. Like, really, really quiet. Didn’t see them on holiday with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. No sightings in Cabo. No dinners in Malibu. Because he’s busy in post for his new film Suburbicon? Or because they’re keeping it low during her first trimester? The twins thing would be in line with all those rumours that she’s been seen at fertility clinics.
