Zendaya looking FAB for for Vogue US June 2019
Zendaya Reveals One of Her Dream Roles! Zendaya has emerged as one of the young voices for today's culture. Whether she's calling out societal racism or inspiring representation and diversity in fashion, the 22-year-old actress — who recently made a stunning appearance at the Met Gala — has used her platform to bring awareness to social justice for years. Still, she shies away from being called an activist. In Vogue's June issue, Zendaya is featured front and center as the cover star with photos shot by Tyler Mitchell (the young mastermind behind Beyoncé's September 2018 Vogue cover), but her interview characterizes a cool, down-to-earth young adult who's just finding her way.
In addition to talking about (not) being an activist, Zendaya also discusses her role in HBO's upcoming series Euphoria, her future plans for herself, and the historical figure she wouldn't mind portraying in a film one day. Read on to see some of her standout quotes from her chat with writer Maya Singer.

Former President Jimmy Carter has suffered a Broken Hip
Former President Jimmy Carter is recovering after falling and breaking his hip this morning, according to a statement from the Carter Center.
The center said Carter was preparing to go turkey hunting when he fell in his home. It added that he is now "recovering comfortably" after undergoing surgery at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia. His wife, Rosalynn, is with him at the medical center.

"President Carter said his main concern is that turkey season ends this week, and he has not reached his limit," the statement reads. "He hopes the State of Georgia will allow him to rollover the unused limit to next year."
The 94-year-old has had success with hunting — The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported last month that Carter had "bagged a large wild turkey" on a recent trip.

The former president was in office from 1977 to 1981. He was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2015. He announced several months later that a brain scan showed the cancer was gone following treatment.

We send our thoughts and prayers as he recovers!

#RHOA: Porsha Williams Reveals Baby Pilar’s Face For The Very 1st Time
Porsha Williams picked Mother’s Day to finally debut her baby girl’s face, and we can’t believe how gorgeous Pilar is!

The third and final episode of Porsha Williams’ RHOA spinoff, Porsha’s Having A Baby, aired on Mother’s Day (May 12), and during the last hour of the baby special, Porsha gave birth and debuted her baby’s face for the very first time! Up until now, Porsha’s kept her daughter, Pilar‘s, mug a secret but she had previously said she’d show her face for the first time during the finale of Porsha’s Having A Baby. So while it wasn’t a surprise to see Pilar’s face during this week’s episode, it was still exciting.

Before last night’s episode, Porsha said in an interview, “If anybody knows me they know that I wanted to post her picture the day she was born, but we definitely wanted to surprise everybody and let everybody enjoy the whole experience, so we’re going to show her on the last episode. You’ll see her as soon as she comes out and then you’ll also see me bring her home for the first time.” And that’s exactly what happened. Viewers got a chance to see “Baby PJ’s” face immediately after she was born.
Even though Porsha’s birth experience didn’t air until Sunday, it’s been nearly two months since Porsha actually delivered Pilar on March 22. So fans had to wait a long seven weeks before seeing the precious baby’s face. And now that we’ve seen her face, we can honestly say that it was worth the way. Pilar is so gorgeous!

And Porsha said that it wasn’t easy waiting so long to debut Pilar’s face. “When I saw PJ I was like, ‘Oh my god it’s a real life angel,’ and of course I wanted to share that with the world. It’s been so hard,” she admitted. “Every cute picture, every smile, every grin, every frowny face — I want to post it! It’s been super hard not to post her.”

Awwwwww!

#HipHopNews: Lil Uzi Vert Says He’s Done Recording New Album
After several months of delays, it looks like Lil Uzi Vert's Eternal Atake album could be right around the corner.
During his set at the 2019 Rolling Loud Miami Festival on Sunday night (May 12), the Philadelphia rapper gave fans a quick update. Although he didn’t mention the album by name, Eternal Atake has been the project Uzi's been promoting publicly, so it's pretty safe to say that's the album he's speaking on.
“I ain’t gonna lie, the other night, I finished the last song to the album,” he told the crowd. "Are ready for my album?" he asked, to which the fans loudly cheered in responding to his question.

"Okay, bye," Uzi replied back before dropping the mic and walking off the stage.

This news comes after Uzi dropped two new singles "That's a Rack" and "Sanguine Paradise" back in April, which will presumably be on the new LP. During an interview with The Hollywood Fix in that same month, the Philly rapper assured fans that Eternal Atake will drop this year. "Soon... I guess. Yeah soon," Uzi told the reporter.

Gemma Chan wants to issue a clarification about That 'Liked' Tweet About Constance Wu Being 'Mean-Spirited'
Gemma Chan, who worked with Constance Wu on last summer’s smash hit film Crazy Rich Asians, “liked” a tweet from her personal Twitter account that said some unfavorable things about her former co-star.
The tweet (which has now been deleted) read, “Constance Wu’s conduct today comes as no surprise to anyone who has worked with her in recent years. She has a reputation for being rude, petty, mean-spirited, and ungrateful.”

Well, Gemma took to Twitter to clarify that she did not mean to “like” that tweet and it was a total accident.
“Just to clarify – it was an accidental ‘like’. Anyone looking for drama or beef, sorry to disappoint,” Gemma tweeted to her followers.
The “like” came right after Constance was forced to clarify some comments she made amid the renewal of her TV show Fresh Off the Boat.

Aaron Rodgers Lands a Side Gig as an Extra on ‘Game of Thrones’
Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been taking it easy during the offseason of the NFL, and has been keeping his feet quick while running from fire breathing dragons!
The Green Bay Packers quarterback was seen Sunday during the penultimate episode of “Game of Thrones,” as he played an extra trying to flee the destruction of King’s Landing by Daenerys Targaryen’s merciless dragon.
Rodgers was also highlighted at the end of the episode as an “extra,” and explained how, “I was helping a woman who was injured … set her down … then the hell with her I’m getting out of there.”
Fans were debating which scene exactly Rodgers was featured in, but he later showed off his “GoT” garb and said, “It was just for a few seconds, but I’ll always be thankful to have been on the penultimate episode.”

There is one episode of “Game of Thrones” left before it all ends.

Venus Williams has invested in self-care range Asutra
Venus Williams has invested in the self-care range Asutra.

The 38-year-old tennis ace has announced that she is the chief brand officer at the wellness company, which launched in 2015, and now the star has revealed that the collaboration was a natural choice for her because she uses their products in her daily regime because it fits in with her ”active lifestyle”.

She told WWD.com: ”I love their focus on active self care. Obviously I live and breathe that, and I was able to use their products as a part of actively taking care of myself. I also love that their products work and they use all natural ingredients, so you can use the products for your mind, body and soul. That was a huge appeal for me and just fit right into my lifestyle.”

And Venus has always loved ”wellness” and beauty because her mother, Oracene Price, instilled the importance of looking after your body into her from a young age.

She added: ”I’ve always been in that [wellness] realm. I grew up that way with my mum. She kind of grew up in California in the Seventies, so you know how that goes. It was all natural and that sort of thing, and even for my own health I do a lot of things that enhance my health to keep inflammation down, the way I eat and all of that.

”It’s an opportunity to collaborate with other people as well. I enjoy that. Tennis is a solo sport, so in my businesses I’ve found that opportunity to work with other people and to collaborate and share ideas and to push each other and that’s what I really look forward to.”

Asutra’s beloved products include their Chill Pain Away Magnesium CBD Cream ($34.50), Peaceful Lavender Yoga Mat Cleaner ($10.95) and Pure Soothing Comfort Aromatherapy Mist ($14.95) to name a few, which are meant to help customers ”amp up their self-care time,” according to the brand’s founder and chief executive officer, Stephanie Morimoto.

The seven-time Grand Slam winner also insisted that she is ”careful” about what she gets ”involved with” because she has ”limited time” because of her tennis career.

She continued: ”I came to Asutra as a customer…the more I learned about the company, the more intrigued I became. I have limited time because of the tennis, so I am very careful about what I get involved in because I want to give it my all and am invested in living up to the ideals of the products I’m associated with.”

Steve Harvey Replaced As Host Of NBC's 'Little Big Shot' After Season Three with Melissa McCarthy!
We’ll be seeing a lot less of Steve Harvey on TV soon, sadly.
News leaked that he will be replaced by Melissa McCarthy as the host of NBC’s kids’ talent show Little Big Shots only days after it was announced that his daytime talk show Steve was being canceled.

Although Harvey hosted Little Big Shots for its first three seasons, McCarthy will take over when the show returns for its fourth season, People reports.
“Melissa’s just an incredible performer and incredible comedian,” NBC’s co-chairman of entertainment Paul Telegdy said in a statement. “Melissa is a strong creative force with her own ideas. Changes will be apparent.”

Telegdy did not appear to comment on Harvey’s departure.
It was announced last week that Harvey’s daytime talk show would be airing its last episode in June after his time slot was replaced by Kelly Clarkson’s new talk show, set to debut this fall. Harvey also filmed Steve’s final episode last week.
Harvey seemed to have taken the news of Clarkson’s new show by surprise, saying that he assumed he was coming back for another season when he was interviewed at Variety ‘s Entertainment Summit in January.

Many speculate that Harvey was a casualty of the animosity between NBCUniversal and Endeavor’s IMG Original Content over IMG’s takeover of the show two seasons ago. After the IMG transition, NBCUniversal executives were said to be furious at losing their ownership stake in Harvey’s show, even though it remained the distributor of Steve.
“I thought I was until they made an announcement a couple weeks ago that they wanted to give Kelly Clarkson … my slot,” he said. “I’m an honorable guy and I’m just an old school guy and I just thought that you’re supposed to talk to people and go, ‘Look, you’ve been good business for us. This is what we’re thinking of doing. Are you okay with that?’ No, you don’t just put something in the paper and say, ‘I’m gonna make this move right here’ because it’s crazy.”

Harvey has yet to publicly comment since news of the Steve cancellation and his replacement at Little Big Shots was announced.

According to TMZ, the famed director will have a large memorial celebration at the University of Southern California on May 21st from 11 am to 2 pm. Details are still in the works, including celebrity guest speakers and performers.

A private funeral and Celebration of Life was held last week for close friends and family, like Ludacris, Ice Cube, Tyrese, Maxine Waters, Ving Rhames, and Jim Brown. The memorial service will reportedly showcase Singleton’s past work and pay homage to his life and career.

Kenan Thompson Is Headed To Primetime With ‘The Kenan Show’ On NBC
Some folks know Kenan Thompson as a longtime Saturday Night Live cast member, while others remember him as a child star from Nickelodeon’s ‘All That’ and ‘Kenan & Kel’ shows in the ’90s. Now, Kenan Thompson will have another opportunity to become a household name with the announcement of his new NBC sitcom, ‘The Kenan Show.’

The show, which was initially ordered to pilot in January, focuses on Thompson’s character, who “strives to be a super dad to his two adorable girls while simultaneously balancing his job and a father-in-law who ‘helps’ in the most inappropriate ways.” Thompson will executive produce the series alongside Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, and Chris Rock, who is also credited as a director.

Kenan recently appeared on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ and shared that his newly busy schedule won’t keep him from SNL. “It’s the best job in the world. I can’t see myself just walking away from it like that, even with how busy I’ve been with another show on NBC called ‘Bring the Funny.’” His other new series ‘Bring The Funny’ is a new reality competition for up and coming comedic acts, which also features comedian Jeff Foxworthy and model Chrissy Teigen.

According to HuffPost, Kenan is staying true to his sketch-comedy roots and also still serving as executive producer, along with Kel Mitchell, for an ‘All That’ revival, premiering this summer and including him, Kel, Lori Beth Denberg and Josh Server in the first episode.

Congratulations to Kenan Thompson!

Felicity Huffman pleads guilty in college admissions scandal
Actress Felicity Huffman on Monday pleaded guilty to accusations that she paid $15,000 to fraudulently boost her daughter’s SAT score as part of a nationwide college admissions scam.

The “Desperate Housewives” actress pleaded guilty to a single charge of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.
Huffman, 56, is one of 14 parents who agreed to plead guilty to allegations stemming from a far-reaching federal investigation, known as Operation Varsity Blues, that has led to the arrests of dozens of wealthy parents, coaches and college officials.
Prosecutors say Huffman paid Rick Singer, the high-profile college admissions consultant who orchestrated the scheme, to hire a proctor to correct her elder daughter’s answers on her college entrance exam. Huffman allegedly considered doing the same for her younger daughter, but ultimately decided against it.

Huffman faces up to 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000, but prosecutors have recommended she serve four months behind bars and pay a $20,000 penalty.

China Announces Tariffs On $60 Billion Worth of U.S. Goods Beginning June 1st
The U.S. and Chinese governments have begun the biggest game of tit for tat in World history. In retaliation against Trump’s latest round of U.S. tariffs on Chinese imports, China has announced tariffs on $60 billion worth of U.S. goods; and as we all know, damn near everything we have is “Made In China.”

Beijing will increase tariffs on more than 5,000 products as high as 25%, while duties on other goods will increase to 20%. Those rates will rise from either 10% or 5%. China’s retaliation is in response to Donald Trump’s decision to raise duties on $200 billion in Chinese products from 10% to 25%. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The products affected include peanuts, sugar, and wheat, according to CNBC, as well as, American cotton, machinery, grains and aircraft parts, according to CNN; and in response to the increase, the U.S. may retaliate back. Trump has already threatened to put 25% tariffs on $325 billion worth of Chinese goods that are untaxed and claims to be content leaving the duties in place, arguing they will damage China more than the U.S.
In a series of tweets, Trump argued that tariffs are “very bad for China” and that  “China should not retaliate” as it “will only get worse!” Trump tweeted, “I say openly to President Xi & all of my many friends in China that China will be hurt very badly if you don’t make a deal because companies will be forced to leave China for other countries. Too expensive to buy in China. You had a great deal, almost completed, & you backed out!”
China’s move in the trade war has shaken things up for investors, with major U.S. stock indexes diving more than 2% at the start of the week.

The world’s two largest economies have been struggling to sign a trade deal and end an ongoing conflict that threatens to damage the global economy.

The Daily Buzz For Nov 3

Justin Timberlake Tells ‘Variety’ His New Album Material “Punches You Between The Eyes”
It’s hard to believe that after a seven-year wait, during which time it wasn’t even clear if Justin Timberlake would ever return to music and follow up FutureSex/LoveSounds, we could possibly get a new JT LP just four years after he offered up a double album. Timberlake already revealed he’s working on his next full-length with Pharrell, Timbaland and Max Martin, and in a new cover story with Variety he details the project a bit more.
“I wouldn’t say [my new material] is the antithesis of 20/20, but it does sound more singular,” he told the magazine. “If 20/20 sounded like it literally surrounds your entire head, this stuff feels more like it just punches you between the eyes.”

As for a timetable? “I think everyone I’m working with right now knows that I’m notorious for being like, ‘Yeah let’s work. I have no idea when I’ll put it out, though.’ I’ll put it out when it’s done — when it feels right.”
Pharrell did give an indication of how far into the process they are, though. “Songwise, I think we’ve got a good solid six that are like, ‘Whoa, what was that? Play that again,'” the producer explained, adding that Timberlake is really beginning to master how to channel honesty and vulnerability in his music.

There’s plenty more insight into his creative process and how his partnership with Timbaland works so well, but the most interesting non-JT tidbit came when Max Martin discussed “Can’t Stop The Feeling.” Even after all those smash hits, the Swedish super-producer still has doubts whenever one of his new songs is released: “I personally am always nervous and paranoid before a song comes out — if it’s going to work or not.”

#RHoA: Janet Hubert Comes for Kenya Moore, AGAIN For Allegedly Being A Fraud!
(via TSR) Lordt Janet Hubert aka the OG Aunt Viv from Fresh Prince is coming for Kenya Moore once again!!
If you guys remember, Hubert blasted Moore on Facebook last year after she accused the RHOA star of trying to con her out of her coins. The two worked together on Moore’s “Life Twirls On” pilot back in 2014, but Miss Hubert claimed that she wasn’t paid since she refused to be double-filmed for #RHOA.
“Beware the new Reality TV Scam. Obtaining SAG contracts to promote their own story lines. I was used…beware Reality TV personalities!” This ended the actresses’ relationship with each other but it looks like the drama is far from over.
Apparently, Hubert was eventually paid for her work on the tv pilot, back in 2015, but this weekend, she’s calling Kenya Moore a fraud! The IRS allegedly called Hubert demanding that she cough up receipts from working with Moore, because the money wasn’t adding up. Just like most things, the actress took to Facebook to lament about the situation. “Lord help me I thought I was done dealing with this horrible horrible woman,” Hubert began. “I got a bill from the IRS the other day for working with…Guess Who… Lying to the IRS that you paid me more than you did is fraud Cuntya Moore. Punishable big time. My accountants have proven my figures. Good luck proving yours.” Yikes!
Janet Hubert did not retire until she left Kenya Moore with one last good read. She said, “Thank goodness you have all that hair to cover the 666 on your scalp that you were born with. I don’t know why you thought you could get away with this. And you filed them in the wrong year… you are really really stupid. I am so weary of it all.”
Now, Kenya isn’t the devil, but you’ve got to wonder what she did to Miss Hubert to make her react this way–if she did anything at all. I guess we’ll have to wait for her reaction, because Kenya never lets someone come for her especially if they weren’t sent for!

#EMPIRE: Jussie Smollet ‘I love where Jamal is right now’!
The third season of “Empire” premiered Sept. 21, and last season, Jamal was shot by Freda Gatz (Bre-Z) at the ASA Awards and left in critical condition. This season finds him battling PTSD, and Smollett noted how he had to do “real research” about post traumatic stress disorder and panic attacks. It’s “extra work… and I love it,” he said. “I love exactly where Jamal is.”
On Jamal being gay and his music mogul father Lucious (Terrance Howard) still not being accepting of it, Jussie explained how the one point that he keeps on “trying to drive home” is that, “We don’t all have to see the world in the same way. Lucious has every right to think, and to believe, Jamal being homosexual is wrong. He has every right to believe that,” he said.
“It only becomes wrong when he sh*ts upon Jamal, and Jamal’s basic freedoms. We don’t all have to agree, and it doesn’t make us bad people if we do agree. It only makes it bad if your disagreement and your beliefs then traces over my simple basic freedoms. And that goes for Lucious and Jamal as well.”
Smollett recently guest-starred on the hit series “Underground.” He next co-stars in Ridley Scott’s “Alien: Covenant”; and the biographical drama “Marshall,” in which he portrays renowned poet Langston Hughes.
We asked the actor about his character in the anticipated “Alien: Covenant,” but he jokingly explained how doing so would violate the “phone book” sized agreement he signed.
“What I can say is that he is a member of the Covenant, and it’s awesome working with Ridley Scott and Michael Fassbender, and Carmen Ejogo, and Billy Crudup… Danny McBride.”
Not only is Jussie “very happy with where Jamal is going” this season on “Empire,” his ‘Covenant’ experience serves as another reminder of how “blessed” he is to “be a part of these casts that are cool with each other,” he said.
“Empire” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Fox.

Bobby Brown Doesn’t Want Money, Thinks Nick Gordon Should Be Behind Bars
Bobby Brown doesn’t want any money from Nick Gordon now that he’s been held legally responsible for the death of Bobbi Kristina — he wants him behind bars.

“I think he should be in prison,” Bobby will tell Dr. Oz on Thursday’s show.

Back in September, her boyfriend Nick was found legally responsible by default after failing to show up to two hearings in a wrongful death civil suit filed by Bobbi Kristina’s estate.

When loving your soulmate is unlawful: ‘Loving’s’ Ruth Negga and Joel Edgerton
Actors Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga portray Richard and Mildred Loving in the Jeff Nichols-directed film Loving.
It’s hard to believe the story about Richard and Mildred Loving has gone unscripted for so long. It’s been nearly 50 years since the Supreme Court of the United States declared Virginia’s anti-miscegenation statute, the “Racial Integrity Act of 1924”, unconstitutional, as a violation of the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause.

The case of Loving v. Virginia ended in a landmark civil rights decision of the U.S. Supreme Court, which invalidated laws prohibiting interracial marriage.
The law designed to control free Blacks as part of the Black Codes – laws passed in the Southern states in 1865 and 1866 post the Civil War to preserve slavery – disallowed intermarriage, miscegenation and cohabitation even though the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution had been passed by the Senate in April 1864 and the House in January 1865 and declared slavery and involuntary servitude illegal and unconstitutional.
The film Loving tells the story of Richard and Mildred Loving, a white man and Black woman who fell in love and married in 1958. Their home state of Virginia sought to end their love story by first jailing and then banishing them, and it became a landmark Supreme Court case and important victory in the Civil Rights battle.
The Jeff Nichols-directed film stars Joel Edgerton as Richard and Ruth Negga as Mildred. Neither of them is native American so preparing for their roles required history lessons.

“I read scenes from the script and watched Nancy Buirski’s documentary, The Loving Story, which is fantastic is full of contemporary footage of the Lovings. And it gives you a sense of that time and place. It was informative on many levels. I locked myself in my hotel room because I was filming something else. I watched it over, and over, and over again,” shares Ruth, who’s of Ethiopian and Irish descent, and lived most of her life in London.
Edgerton also watched the documentary and was fascinated by the triumphant story. “It was a nine-year oppressive situation. You don’t really know about Richard and Mildred but know Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks,” the Australian actor starts.
“This story is about a civil rights and marriage equality and it laid the foundation for what we’re witnessing today.”
As part of their ban from Virginia, the Lovings had to live outside their sleepy hometown in Virginia and take up residence in Washington, D.C. where they reared their three children until Mildred became fed up.
Using their quiet strength fueled by their love, the couple made a series of extraordinary sacrifices to enjoy a life that was ordinary for couples of the same race. Mildred was humble, but not fearful which worked in her favor. Richard cared for her deeply and supported her as long as she was happy.
Loving is an impactful film that showcases the strength of a woman of color who so humbly created a gateway for us to love and marry freely, without court interference.

A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Nichols’ appreciation for the south and it’s delicate history shines in this film. From the shooting locations to the wardrobe, and especially the dialogue, cinema goers will be immersed in this love story and will not leave the theaters the same.
“People ask me why this story? There was no question in my mind. It’s something we all need to know about,” Nichols explains. “I wasn’t aware of their story. I attended Little Rock High [School] and graduated 40 years after the desegregation crisis in ’57. I felt I was pretty up to speed on civil rights history and to not know about this, it seemed unfortunate and something we should try and correct.”

The Loving’s only living child Peggy has reportedly given the film her blessing and was happy to share that Negga had the “right energy” to portray her mother.

Loving is in theaters Friday, Nov. 4, 2016. Follow the social conversation: #ThisIsLoving.

LL Cool J Developing New Comedy Titled ‘Brotherhood’ At CBS!
CBS is furthering the relationship with one of the network’s biggest stars: LL COOL J.
The rapper, actor and host — who stars on “NCIS: LA” and has hosted the Grammy Awards many times for the network — is stepping behind the camera to produce a scripted CBS comedy.

Titled “Brotherhood,” the series, based on the U.K. format of the same name, follows two brothers who find their lives turned upside down when they have to move in together to raise their 10-year-old brother. The project hails from “Friends” alum Michael Borkow, who is adapting the British series and will serve as executive producer with LL COOL J, Kenton Allen, Matthew Justice.
CBS Television Studios is behind “Brotherhood,” which is in early development.
The project marks LL COOL J’s first-ever executive producer credit, and his first scripted series that he’s worked on behind the scenes. He’s a producer on Spike TV’s unscripted hit “Lip Sync Battle,” which he hosts.

LL COOL J, Borkow and Big Talk, the U.K. banner behind the original series, are repped by WME.

SHADE? Some Packers thought Aaron Rodgers was gay because he didn’t ‘brag about his penis size
In an article titled, “Some Packers thought Aaron Rodgers was gay because he didn’t ‘brag about his penis size’,” Outsports.com brings up the Aaron Rodgers is he or isn’t he debate again.

When Aaron Rodgers joined the Green Bay Packers as a rookie in 2005, he struggled initially to fit into an established culture led by iconic quarterback Brett Favre. It made for a tense locker room, according to a new book about Favre.
An excerpt about the Favre-Rodgers relationship from the book “Gunslinger:The Remarkable, Improbable, Iconic Life of Brett Favre,” by Jeff Pearlman contains this anecdote:

“Rodgers was the butt of jokes — some that he heard, many that he did not. A rumor circulated around the locker room that he was gay, based upon the fact that — unlike many of his teammates — he wasn’t one to brag about his penis size or his endless string of sexual conquests. Favre sought out Rodgers’ weaknesses (a bad throw, a clumsy scramble) and took a selfish pleasure in noting them. The problem, however, was that they were tough to find. Rodgers was Favre’s equal when it came to arm strength, and he was already, as a rookie, a far better decision maker. He read defenses like a 12-year veteran and stayed in the pocket without cowering.”

Speculation about Rodgers being gay have been longstanding in Green Bay. When Rodgers’ male ex-assistant and roommate sent out tweets that some construed as those of a jilted lover, Rodgers went on radio in December 2013 to announce that he is straight. “I’m not gay,” Rodgers said. “I really, really like women. That’s all I can say about that.”

Rodgers is dating actress Olivia Munn and the ex-personal assistant hasn’t been heard from since deleting his Twitter account.
