Justin Timberlake Tells ‘Variety’ His New Album Material “Punches You Between The Eyes”
It’s hard to believe that after a seven-year wait, during which time it wasn’t even clear if Justin Timberlake would ever return to music and follow up FutureSex/LoveSounds, we could possibly get a new JT LP just four years after he offered up a double album. Timberlake already revealed he’s working on his next full-length with Pharrell, Timbaland and Max Martin, and in a new cover story with Variety he details the project a bit more.
“I wouldn’t say [my new material] is the antithesis of 20/20, but it does sound more singular,” he told the magazine. “If 20/20 sounded like it literally surrounds your entire head, this stuff feels more like it just punches you between the eyes.”

As for a timetable? “I think everyone I’m working with right now knows that I’m notorious for being like, ‘Yeah let’s work. I have no idea when I’ll put it out, though.’ I’ll put it out when it’s done — when it feels right.”
Pharrell did give an indication of how far into the process they are, though. “Songwise, I think we’ve got a good solid six that are like, ‘Whoa, what was that? Play that again,'” the producer explained, adding that Timberlake is really beginning to master how to channel honesty and vulnerability in his music.

There’s plenty more insight into his creative process and how his partnership with Timbaland works so well, but the most interesting non-JT tidbit came when Max Martin discussed “Can’t Stop The Feeling.” Even after all those smash hits, the Swedish super-producer still has doubts whenever one of his new songs is released: “I personally am always nervous and paranoid before a song comes out — if it’s going to work or not.”

#RHoA: Janet Hubert Comes for Kenya Moore, AGAIN For Allegedly Being A Fraud!
(via TSR) Lordt Janet Hubert aka the OG Aunt Viv from Fresh Prince is coming for Kenya Moore once again!!
If you guys remember, Hubert blasted Moore on Facebook last year after she accused the RHOA star of trying to con her out of her coins. The two worked together on Moore’s “Life Twirls On” pilot back in 2014, but Miss Hubert claimed that she wasn’t paid since she refused to be double-filmed for #RHOA.
“Beware the new Reality TV Scam. Obtaining SAG contracts to promote their own story lines. I was used…beware Reality TV personalities!” This ended the actresses’ relationship with each other but it looks like the drama is far from over.
Apparently, Hubert was eventually paid for her work on the tv pilot, back in 2015, but this weekend, she’s calling Kenya Moore a fraud! The IRS allegedly called Hubert demanding that she cough up receipts from working with Moore, because the money wasn’t adding up. Just like most things, the actress took to Facebook to lament about the situation. “Lord help me I thought I was done dealing with this horrible horrible woman,” Hubert began. “I got a bill from the IRS the other day for working with…Guess Who… Lying to the IRS that you paid me more than you did is fraud Cuntya Moore. Punishable big time. My accountants have proven my figures. Good luck proving yours.” Yikes!
Janet Hubert did not retire until she left Kenya Moore with one last good read. She said, “Thank goodness you have all that hair to cover the 666 on your scalp that you were born with. I don’t know why you thought you could get away with this. And you filed them in the wrong year… you are really really stupid. I am so weary of it all.”
Now, Kenya isn’t the devil, but you’ve got to wonder what she did to Miss Hubert to make her react this way–if she did anything at all. I guess we’ll have to wait for her reaction, because Kenya never lets someone come for her especially if they weren’t sent for!

#EMPIRE: Jussie Smollet ‘I love where Jamal is right now’!
The third season of “Empire” premiered Sept. 21, and last season, Jamal was shot by Freda Gatz (Bre-Z) at the ASA Awards and left in critical condition. This season finds him battling PTSD, and Smollett noted how he had to do “real research” about post traumatic stress disorder and panic attacks. It’s “extra work… and I love it,” he said. “I love exactly where Jamal is.”
On Jamal being gay and his music mogul father Lucious (Terrance Howard) still not being accepting of it, Jussie explained how the one point that he keeps on “trying to drive home” is that, “We don’t all have to see the world in the same way. Lucious has every right to think, and to believe, Jamal being homosexual is wrong. He has every right to believe that,” he said.
“It only becomes wrong when he sh*ts upon Jamal, and Jamal’s basic freedoms. We don’t all have to agree, and it doesn’t make us bad people if we do agree. It only makes it bad if your disagreement and your beliefs then traces over my simple basic freedoms. And that goes for Lucious and Jamal as well.”
Smollett recently guest-starred on the hit series “Underground.” He next co-stars in Ridley Scott’s “Alien: Covenant”; and the biographical drama “Marshall,” in which he portrays renowned poet Langston Hughes.
We asked the actor about his character in the anticipated “Alien: Covenant,” but he jokingly explained how doing so would violate the “phone book” sized agreement he signed.
“What I can say is that he is a member of the Covenant, and it’s awesome working with Ridley Scott and Michael Fassbender, and Carmen Ejogo, and Billy Crudup… Danny McBride.”
Not only is Jussie “very happy with where Jamal is going” this season on “Empire,” his ‘Covenant’ experience serves as another reminder of how “blessed” he is to “be a part of these casts that are cool with each other,” he said.
“Empire” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Fox.

When loving your soulmate is unlawful: ‘Loving’s’ Ruth Negga and Joel Edgerton
Actors Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga portray Richard and Mildred Loving in the Jeff Nichols-directed film Loving.
It’s hard to believe the story about Richard and Mildred Loving has gone unscripted for so long. It’s been nearly 50 years since the Supreme Court of the United States declared Virginia’s anti-miscegenation statute, the “Racial Integrity Act of 1924”, unconstitutional, as a violation of the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause.

The case of Loving v. Virginia ended in a landmark civil rights decision of the U.S. Supreme Court, which invalidated laws prohibiting interracial marriage.
The law designed to control free Blacks as part of the Black Codes – laws passed in the Southern states in 1865 and 1866 post the Civil War to preserve slavery – disallowed intermarriage, miscegenation and cohabitation even though the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution had been passed by the Senate in April 1864 and the House in January 1865 and declared slavery and involuntary servitude illegal and unconstitutional.
The film Loving tells the story of Richard and Mildred Loving, a white man and Black woman who fell in love and married in 1958. Their home state of Virginia sought to end their love story by first jailing and then banishing them, and it became a landmark Supreme Court case and important victory in the Civil Rights battle.
The Jeff Nichols-directed film stars Joel Edgerton as Richard and Ruth Negga as Mildred. Neither of them is native American so preparing for their roles required history lessons.

“I read scenes from the script and watched Nancy Buirski’s documentary, The Loving Story, which is fantastic is full of contemporary footage of the Lovings. And it gives you a sense of that time and place. It was informative on many levels. I locked myself in my hotel room because I was filming something else. I watched it over, and over, and over again,” shares Ruth, who’s of Ethiopian and Irish descent, and lived most of her life in London.
Edgerton also watched the documentary and was fascinated by the triumphant story. “It was a nine-year oppressive situation. You don’t really know about Richard and Mildred but know Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks,” the Australian actor starts.
“This story is about a civil rights and marriage equality and it laid the foundation for what we’re witnessing today.”
As part of their ban from Virginia, the Lovings had to live outside their sleepy hometown in Virginia and take up residence in Washington, D.C. where they reared their three children until Mildred became fed up.
Using their quiet strength fueled by their love, the couple made a series of extraordinary sacrifices to enjoy a life that was ordinary for couples of the same race. Mildred was humble, but not fearful which worked in her favor. Richard cared for her deeply and supported her as long as she was happy.
Loving is an impactful film that showcases the strength of a woman of color who so humbly created a gateway for us to love and marry freely, without court interference.

A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Nichols’ appreciation for the south and it’s delicate history shines in this film. From the shooting locations to the wardrobe, and especially the dialogue, cinema goers will be immersed in this love story and will not leave the theaters the same.
“People ask me why this story? There was no question in my mind. It’s something we all need to know about,” Nichols explains. “I wasn’t aware of their story. I attended Little Rock High [School] and graduated 40 years after the desegregation crisis in ’57. I felt I was pretty up to speed on civil rights history and to not know about this, it seemed unfortunate and something we should try and correct.”

The Loving’s only living child Peggy has reportedly given the film her blessing and was happy to share that Negga had the “right energy” to portray her mother.

Loving is in theaters Friday, Nov. 4, 2016. Follow the social conversation: #ThisIsLoving.

SHADE? Some Packers thought Aaron Rodgers was gay because he didn’t ‘brag about his penis size
In an article titled, “Some Packers thought Aaron Rodgers was gay because he didn’t ‘brag about his penis size’,” Outsports.com brings up the Aaron Rodgers is he or isn’t he debate again.

When Aaron Rodgers joined the Green Bay Packers as a rookie in 2005, he struggled initially to fit into an established culture led by iconic quarterback Brett Favre. It made for a tense locker room, according to a new book about Favre.
An excerpt about the Favre-Rodgers relationship from the book “Gunslinger:The Remarkable, Improbable, Iconic Life of Brett Favre,” by Jeff Pearlman contains this anecdote:

“Rodgers was the butt of jokes — some that he heard, many that he did not. A rumor circulated around the locker room that he was gay, based upon the fact that — unlike many of his teammates — he wasn’t one to brag about his penis size or his endless string of sexual conquests. Favre sought out Rodgers’ weaknesses (a bad throw, a clumsy scramble) and took a selfish pleasure in noting them. The problem, however, was that they were tough to find. Rodgers was Favre’s equal when it came to arm strength, and he was already, as a rookie, a far better decision maker. He read defenses like a 12-year veteran and stayed in the pocket without cowering.”

Speculation about Rodgers being gay have been longstanding in Green Bay. When Rodgers’ male ex-assistant and roommate sent out tweets that some construed as those of a jilted lover, Rodgers went on radio in December 2013 to announce that he is straight. “I’m not gay,” Rodgers said. “I really, really like women. That’s all I can say about that.”

Rodgers is dating actress Olivia Munn and the ex-personal assistant hasn’t been heard from since deleting his Twitter account.
