Nicole Scherzinger for Cosmo! Shesays eating disorder 'stole' her happiness
Former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger has opened up about her battle with an eating disorder and has admitted that it has "stolen" her memories, happiness and confidence.
The 39-year-old X Factor judge has said she has battled with bulimia and was 14 when she began to have body image issues.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, she said landing the Pussycat Dolls gig amplified the situation because she was constantly showing off her body in music videos.
"I'm more accepting of my body now. I was always very critical of myself from a young age, and when I was 14, I started running," she told the magazine.
"I would go outside in the middle of the night and run, because I thought I had to be thinner and that my thighs should look a certain way.
"When I got The Pussycat Dolls, it really amplified that because it had so much to do with showing your body off."
The star who is known for her crazy and funny phrases on the X Factor said she felt imprisoned and ashamed while suffering with bulimia.
"I have a lot of fans and I never wanted to come out about it, because I was ashamed. But once I finally did come out about it, I realised how many people it had helped."
The singer advised women to embrace themselves and love their curves.
"You should embrace and accept yourself more. Don't be so hard on yourself, and love your curves," she said.
Nicole dated Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton for seven years but they parted ways in 2015.
She is now with Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov.

#EMPIRE: ‘Empire’ Season 4 Won’t Be ‘Any Less Sexy’ in Earlier Time Slot, Lee Daniels Promises
Fox’s “Empire” is (finally) shifting to 8 o’clock this fall, after dominating the 9 p.m. hour for each of its three seasons. The shift to a self-starter time slot doesn’t have show producers scared, they assured TV critics Tuesday at a press event.
Asked about the move to a more family friendly time slot and whether that will force to show to become “any less sexy,” creator, writer and executive producer Lee Daniels initially answered this way: “We get to get off earlier,” only semi-joking it seems.
“It doesn’t make us change the way we do things,” showrunner Ilene Chaiken added during the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour panel. “Whether it’s at midnight or 2 in the morning — 8 o’clock, 9 o’clock…”

Vocal powerhouse Ledisi and Gospel superstar Kirk Franklin have teamed up to co-headline “The Rebel, The Soul & The Saint Tour.” The two will interweave an amazing show that will touch your heart, body, and soul.
The 27-city tour will kick off October 25 in Oakland, CA and stop in major cities across the country including New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Nashville and more, before culminating December 2 in Richmond, VA. Supporting acts will be PJ Morton and MAJOR in select cities.
Both Ledisi and Kirk Franklin will be performing various fan favorites as well as songs from Kirk’s current album Losing My Religion and a few songs from Ledisi’s upcoming album Let Love Rule. This tour will mark the first time that both artists have been on the road together performing for adoring fans.
“This tour is non-traditional on purpose,” says Ledisi. “The goal is to not alienate anyone, bringing all people together and to perform music that inspires and reflect the human experience. This is an event for Music as a whole. That is why it is called ‘The Rebel, The Soul, and The Saint.’” She also goes on to say, “How awesome will it be to see all these wonderful people on stage, fearlessly expressing life, spirit, and LOVE through music. I am looking forward to this tour with the great Kirk Franklin.”
In addition, Kirk Franklin says, “In this climate the world definitely needs to be reminded of the power of love. From God’s heart to the human touch, Ledisi and I are excited to bring the power of love to the people!”
Ledisi, who is a nine-time GRAMMY nominee, is gearing up to release her new album Let Love Rule on September 22. VIP presale tickets are available now, and general public tickets will be available on Tuesday (Aug. 29) in most cities.

Bang, bang, bang! As summer ’17 winds down, Fabolous is ready to fire off Summertime Shootout 3.
The veteran Brooklyn rhymer has announced the forthcoming mixtape and teased the first single “Flip Mode.” The song, which features appearances from Chris Brown and Velous, is set to drop Friday (Sept. 1).
After promoting the track on social media, Loso added the hashtag “#SummertimeShootout3OnTheWay” in the caption.
The original Summertime Shootout dropped back in 2015 and its sequel, Summertime Shootout 2: The Level Up, followed the next year.

Gil Duldulao Janet’s Creative Director said challenge for State of the World was starting the show from scratch, this time with "free-r, stronger, more powerful, clean" choreography.

Your First Look At Heartbreaking “Bobbi Kristina” Biopic
TV One just released the trailer for it’s upcoming biopic Bobbi Kristina and it’s definitely going to be a tearjerker.
Per the network, the film “aims to restore what has been lost amidst the tabloid headlines: the real Bobbi Kristina Brown, a.k.a. “Krissy” — the vibrant, talented and troubled only daughter of pop music royalty Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, who died too young, and whose memory has been overshadowed by the circumstances of her death.”
In the heartbreaking first look, we see Bobbi Kristina played by Joy Ravaris trying to cope with the sudden death of her mother Whitney Houston. In one scene she tearfully tells her aunt Pat Houston played by Vivica Fox that Nick Gordon, is “the single best thing that’s happened” to her since losing her mom.

Audiences also see her relationship with her mother (played by Demetria McKinney) and her struggles to live up to her enormous singing abilities.
Directed by Ty Hodges, Bobbi Kristina also stars Hassan Johnson as Bobby Brown and Nadji Jeter as Nick Gordon.
The film comes just two years after BK’s untimely and tragic death at her Georgia home. Her autopsy showed that she died due to drowning in a bath tub mixed with a lethal dose of alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine.
Gordon was found legally responsible for her death and was ordered to pay her estate $36 million. He remains a person of interest in the criminal investigation.
Jamie Foxx hosting fundraiser to aid Hurricane Harvey victims
Jamie Foxx is responding to Hurricane Harvey’s devastating impact on Houston by hosting a telethon.
Foxx, who was born in Terrell, Texas, announced the big news via Instagram, writing, “Just wanted to let everyone in Texas know, we got you.”
“From a fellow Texan, my heart goes out. My prayers go out. Sept. 12 we have a telethon that we’re doing. We’ll give you more details, so we can raise as much money as we can for everybody down there,” the actor continued, revealing that he’s donated $25,000 to GlobalGiving, a non-profit organization that provides a global crowdfunding platform for grassroots charitable projects.
According to TMZ, the telethon will take place simultaneously in Los Angeles, New York and Nashville, Tennessee, airing on all the major networks for one hour. The star-studded event is reportedly being organized by Houston rapper Bun B and music manager Scooter Braun, who produced Ariana Grande’s One Love show in Manchester, according to the Associated Press.
Meanwhile, Reese Witherspoon and Blake Shelton will head the Nashville hour, with Foxx and tentatively Hilary Duff — who was born in Houston — hosting from sunny Los Angeles.
Stars such as Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson and most notably Sandra Bullock, who donated $1 million to the Red Cross on Tuesday, have already donated to Hurricane Harvey relief.
On Sunday, Hart, 38, announced via Instagram that he’d donated $25,000 to the American Red Cross and asked that megastars including Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, and Jerry Seinfeld, among others, do the same.
“This is a serious matter,” Hart said in the brief video clip. “I think the people are in bad shape and they need help. I’m going to lead the charge and step it up in this way.”
Though overseas in London, rapper Drake also extended a helping hand. “We are currently overseas in London and all I can think about is how devastated I am as I look at images of the damage Hurricane Harvey has caused,” he wrote via Instagram.
“I am praying for the safety of all those affected. Houston has truly been a home to me over the last eight years. Myself and @futuretheprince are working with local relief groups to aid and assist the people of Texas in any way we can and in the most immediate way possible. I also want to thank all the men and women of service and volunteers for their courageous efforts to help people in need. I encourage everyone to do what they can to assist the people of Texas knowing whatever effort you can make to help will go a long way.”
From The Cobb County Georgia Police: ‘We Only Kill Black People’
A Cobb County police officer is under investigation after a dashcam video shows him telling a nervous woman during a traffic stop, “Remember, we only kill black people. We only kill black people, right?”
Via WSB-TV:Cobb County police Chief Mike Register told Channel 2 Investigative Reporter Mark Winne that after Channel 2 Action News submitted an open-records request, he and his command staff looked at the video.
Register said the officer heard on video is Lt. Greg Abbott. Register said Abbott has been assigned to administrative duties pending the outcome of the investigation.
According to Register, the recording is part of a DUI stop. The woman said she was hesitant to put her hands down to pick up a cellphone because she didn’t want to get shot.
“No matter what context it was said, it shouldn’t have been said,” Register said.
Suri Chadha Jimenez, who is representing the woman in the case, said he believes the officer was being sarcastic after the woman “gave him some lip.”
“It makes you cringe when you hear it. It’s unacceptable,” Jimenez said.
Jimenez says the fear minorities have when stopped is real.
Register said Abbott had been a good officer and he wasn’t aware of any racial bias complaints.
“We’re not making excuses. We’re meeting this head-on and we’re going to deal with it,” Register said.
According to Register, the incident happened last year, before he became chief. This was also before an International Association of Chiefs of Police report gave the Cobb Police Department a high community approval rating, but also mentioned a perception of discriminatory and biased policing.
Register said they’ve responded to the report by instituting a faith forum, precinct discussion groups, training changes and more.
“We are going to keep going forward to make sure we, as a police department, service the community in a most professional way — all segments of the community,” Register said.

Kathy Griffin Takes Back Apology for Gory Trump Photo “I am no longer sorry”
Kathy Griffin has officially taken back her apology for releasing a gory photo of herself holding a severed fake Trump head.
The photo sparked widespread backlash, as several companies severed business ties with the comedian. Griffin’s bloody picture even caught the attention of Donald Trump, as he strongly condemned the photo.
“Hey, everybody, it’s me, Kathy Griffin. I sincerely apologize. I am just now seeing the reaction to these images,” the comedian said following the criticism. “I’m a comic. I crossed the line. I move the line. Then I cross it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. It wasn’t funny.”
But, now three months later, Griffin is firing back at critics, saying she is no longer sorry about the controversial photo.
“I am no longer sorry. The whole outrage was B.S.,” Griffin told an Australian morning TV show on Tuesday. “The whole thing got so blown out of proportion, and I lost everybody. Like, I had Chelsea Clinton tweeting against me. I had friends, Debra Messing from ‘Will and Grace,’ tweeting against me. I mean, I lost everybody.”
“I’ve been through the mill. My entire tour was canceled within 24 hours because every single theater got all these death threats,” Griffin said, as she addressed Trump supporters. “These Trump fans are hard core. They are a minority, but they know how to act like they’re a majority.”
