#FASHIONFAB: HOT or NOT? Kim Kardashian Fronts Stuart Weitzman Fall Campaign by Mario Sorrenti
Fashion, business, social media mogul Kim Kardashian adds Stuart Weitzman brand ambassador to her portfolio. The campaign is photographed by Mario Sorrenti [IG], with styling by Alastair McKimm, editor-in-chief of i-D magazine, who teamed thigh-high boots with a latex bodysuit, oversized hoodie jacket and another sexy bodysuit. Kim’s regular beauty squad of hairdresser Chris Appleton and makeup artist Ariel Tejada were on hand.
"One of the most recognized figures of her generation, Kardashian is a cultural icon and trendsetter synonymous with strength," Stuart Weitzman noted in a statement that praised her "global influence and fashion authority."
Kardashian fronts the brand's fall 2022 ‘Stand Strong’ campaign, celebrating women for stepping into their power.
The SKIMS founder is also launching a new collection of bra solutions for her billion-dollar shapewear and loungewear brand. In February 2022, Kardashian’s Skims doubled its valuation from US$ 1.6 billion in April 2021 to $3.2 billion after raising US$240 million in its latest round of funding in January.
With Kardashian going into the bra business, too, ‘mogul’ is the right word to describe her. What’s so great is that her critics spend their unlimited time on social media, critiquing Kim and lots of other successful people. Meanwhile, Kim accomplishes in 30 minutes what others accomplish in a week.
Stuart Weitzman is also partnering with Vital Voices Global Partnership, a non-profit organization committed to investing in women leaders around the world, to further its empowering message. The luxury brand has teamed up with Vital Voices for many years.

#MusicNews: Iconic Latin Singer Jose Feliciano to Receive First-Ever Billboard Legend Award at the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards
José Feliciano will receive the first-ever Billboard Legend Award at the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards, Telemundo and Billboard announced Wednesday (Sept. 21). The special award was created to honor artists with a career and personality that are “larger than life,” according to a press release. “A person whose contribution to music makes them a household name and who maintains a career that has withstood the test of time.”
Feliciano, known for his bilingual Christmas classic “Feliz Navidad,” will be recognized during the awards show, which will take place Thursday, Sept. 29 at the Watsco Canter in Miami and will broadcast live on Telemundo beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The Billboard Latin Music Awards — where Bad Bunny leads the list of finalists with a staggering 23 nods across 13 categories — will be simulcast on Telemundo, Universo, Peacock, the Telemundo App, and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional.
From San Juan, Puerto Rico, Feliciano — who was born blind — began playing the concertina and accordion at age 6. Then, he studied guitar with Harold Morris and by the age of 17 was playing in Greenwich Village clubs. He recorded his first album in 1964 when he was 19 and since, the virtuoso performer has recorded more than 60 albums. Most recently, Feliciano’s “Feliz Navidad” celebrated its 50th anniversary and, to this day, it remains one of the top 10-performing hits in the decade-plus history of Billboard‘s Holiday 100 chart.
His special award coincides with the Sept. 29 release of his documentary José Feliciano – Behind This Guitar on Peacock in the U.S. The documentary, which chronicles the artist’s 60-year career, is produced and directed by Helen Murphy, Frank Licari and co-directed by Khoa Le. The film is executive produced by Emilio and Gloria Estefan, Carlos Santana and Rudy Perez.
As has been the case for more than 20 years, the Billboard Latin Music Awards coincide with Billboard’s annual Latin Music Week, the single largest and most important gathering of the Latin music industry, taking place Sept. 26-Oct. 1. Latin Music Week will feature panels, conversations and workshops at the Faena Forum and exclusive performances and fan experiences throughout the week in Miami.
Artists confirmed to speak at Latin Music Week so far include Chayanne, Maluma, Grupo Firme, Camilo, Ivy Queen, Romeo Santos and Nicky Jam, among many others.
#HipHopNews: Jam Master Jay Murder Trial: Judge Denies Motion To Dismiss Charges
Jam Master Jay‘s murder trial will reportedly move forward, after a motion to dismiss charges filed by the accused killers has been denied.
According to VladTV, a judge recently denied a motion for the charges against the two suspects — Karl Jordan Jr. and Ronald Tinard Washington — to be dropped.
U.S. District Judge LaShann DeArcy Hall rejected the defense team’s argument in a 17-page ruling, explaining he didn’t agree federal prosecutors deliberately waited 12 years to charge them in order to “hamstring the defense.”
Hall also disputed the notion trying Jordan and Washington together would prejudice a jury.
Hall did, however, agree to excise eight drug trafficking counts against Jordan, even though prosecutors alleged those charges steam from an undercover operation they related to the motive behind the Run-DMC legend’s murder and involve many of the same witnesses. Prosecutors must now try Jordan on those counts separately.
“The Indictment is devoid of any facts underlying the charges, let alone any allegations connecting the 2002 murder with the 2016 conspiracy,” Hall said. “And, differences between the alleged conspiracies are apparent.”
Jordan and his defense lawyers initially filed a motion in New York federal court in April asking for the murder charge to be dismissed. They argued the over two-decade delay has left him unable to properly defend himself against the charges, noting the cell phone records that would support his alibi are longer available.
As Jordan’s attorneys explained: “Karl Jordan, Jr. has due process rights that must be respected and enforced and hauling him into court and forcing him to defend himself against a murder that happened decades ago is neither fair nor just.”
Jam Master Jay was killed on October 30, 2002 at his Queens, Jamaica recording studio over an alleged botched cocaine deal. Jordan was arrested and charged with the murder in August 2020 alongside Washington. The trial is tentatively set for February 2023.
PnB Rock laid to rest in Philadelphia
PnB Rock was laid to rest in his hometown of Philadelphia yesterday (Sept. 21). The rapper was fatally shot during a robbery while having lunch at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘N Waffles on Manchester Avenue in South Los Angeles on Sept. 12.
Sources say Rock was buried during a Muslim funeral at the Khadijah Alderman Funeral Home on 1924 W. Hunting Park Avenue. Yesterday, XXXTentacion‘s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, posted several photos on her Instagram Stories from the burial. In one post, she held a funeral service program. With a single photo of Rock smiling, the front of the pamphlet read, “In Loving Memory of Rakim Allen, December 9, 1991 – September 12, 2022.”
In another Story post, she was pictured wearing a black dress while speaking with another woman who was wearing all black. They were outside at what appears to be a cemetery and others were seen in the distance. “Fly high PnB,” the photo said with a white dove emoji.
Before XXXTentacion’s 2018 death, he and Rock collaborated on several songs together, including “Middle Child,” “Bad Vibes Forever,” and “SMASH!” On the day of Rock’s death, Bernard shared an old video of them on her Instagram page. The clip is dated May 10, 2019 and showed them hanging out. Rock held the camera and warned viewers not to play with “Mom Dukes.”
Today “Rode [through] the city with my brother one last time. Never imagined Rock leaving like this. I gotta be strong for the family [and] hold it down,” he began. Meen continued, “I will Inshallah. It’s not over, we just getting started Rock. I appreciate everyone that came. Rock truly loved [and] cared for everyone, [and] I mean everyone. The genuineness was just unreal. This [feels] unreal, but it’s real.”
Meen added, “I love you forever [and] your name [lives] through me. Long live Rock. My right hand, my heart, my big brother man. I got us.” His Instagram post contained a photo of them as kids as well as a mural that read, “RIP PnB.”
The Boston Celtics suspend head coach Ime Udoka for entire 2022-23 NBA season
The Boston Celtics have suspended second-year head coach Ime Udoka for the entire 2022-23 NBA season for violations of the team's code of conduct, the organization announced on Thursday night.
Assistant coach Joe Mazzulla will serve as the team's interim head coach in Udoka's absence, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. A decision about Udoka's longterm future with the team beyond the 2022-23 season, the Celtics said, "will be made at a later date." Udoka issued an apology in a vague statement.
"I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down," Udoka said, via ESPN's Malika Andrews. "I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team's decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment."
The Athletic's Shams Charania reported overnight on Thursday, citing anonymous sources, that Udoka allegedly "had an improper intimate and consensual relationship with a female member of the team staff."
Udoka led the Celtics to their first NBA Finals appearance since 2010 in his debut season as a head coach. Boston is the favorite to win the 2023 championship, according to BetMGM. Udoka played parts of seven NBA seasons for five different teams before joining the San Antonio Spurs as an assistant in 2012. The 45-year-old also spent time as an assistant with the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets before the Celtics gave him an overdue opportunity to lead a team. He finished fourth in Coach of the Year voting last season.
Mazzulla was an assistant for Boston's G League affiliate in Maine during the 2016-17 season. He coached West Virginia's Fairmont State University at the Division II college level for two seasons before joining then-Celtics coach Brad Stevens' staff as an assistant in 2019. Stevens moved into Boston's front office in 2021, assuming the role vacated by former president of basketball operations Danny Ainge and also hiring Udoka.
The 34-year-old Mazzulla coached the Celtics' 2021 Las Vegas Summer League roster to the championship game. He interviewed for the head coaching position that Udoka filled last year. Over the summer, Mazzulla also interviewed with Ainge, now the chief Utah Jazz executive, for the opening left by head coach Quin Snyder's departure. The Jazz ultimately hired Will Hardy, the lead assistant on Udoka's staff last season.
"I talked to everybody in the organization when I got hired, players included, and he got glowing reviews," Udoka said of Mazzulla in June, when news of his Jazz interview broke. "I didn't know much about him going into it, but I take the players' opinions at a high value, and he was a guy that was a consensus yes. ... It's easy to see why, once I got to know him and be around him. What I've encouraged our guys to do is be more vocal, be more out there, and get their own voice, in the same way I was brought up in San Antonio."
A monumental task awaits Mazzulla. Udoka drew rave reviews for inspiring Boston's transformation from a sub-.500 team at midseason into a juggernaut. Over the final three months of last season, the Celtics owned the league's best record (28-8), best offensive rating (120 points per 100 possessions) and best defensive rating (105.1 points allowed per 100 possessions). They captured the Eastern Conference's No. 2 seed, sweeping the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs and defeating the Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat in consecutive seven-game series, before losing to the Golden State Warriors in the Finals, 4-2.
Following the trade acquisition of former Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon in July, which bolstered Boston's chances of returning to the Finals, the Celtics have suffered a string of unfortunate news events. Veteran forward Danilo Gallinari, who signed a free-agent contract with the Celtics this summer, tore his left ACL while playing for Italy in a FIBA World Cup qualifier in late August. Wojnarowski reported on Tuesday that All-Defensive center Robert Williams III will undergo arthroscopic surgery this week on his left knee.
The Celtics are scheduled to host their media day festivities on Monday at 12 p.m. ET.
Detroit boxer Isiah Jones killed after shooting during family dispute, trainer says
Two years ago, local boxer Isiah Jones was in the prime of his career, featured in the undercard of a Top Rank boxing event on ESPN. This week, according to his trainer Roshawn Jones, the 28-year-old lost his life at the hands of his brother.
“I instantly broke down in tears and was hurt,” Roshawn Jones said. "It's a tragedy for it to happen like that.”
Roshawn Jones is based in Toledo, Ohio and says he got a call just an hour after the shooting, which happened Monday around 6:30 p.m. on Stout Street near Westfield Avenue.
Detroit organization sends help to Puerto Rico after destruction from Hurricane Fiona
Detroit police have not yet confirmed the name of the victim and have only said an adult male was shot and killed by a relative. Along with Roshawn Jones, neighbors also told 7 Action News that Isiah Jones was the victim.
“Isaiah was a hardworking individual. He was determined," Roshawn Jones said. "He was strong. He was a great father.”
Isiah Jones was a 2016 Golden Gloves National Champion. Roshawn Jones says he leaves behind two kids. Both Roshawn Jones and neighbors said it was Isiah Jones's brother who shot him during an argument.
“I was trying to get him for the last 30 days to come down (to Toledo) to the gym and start training at the gym, so he could isolate himself from his friends and that type of negative energy that was in Detroit at the time,” Roshawn Jones said. "People aren't perfect in life, but when they are fighting demons, sometimes the demons take over. Whether it's their friends they're involved with, family they’re involved with, they just can't overcome those obstacles.”
Police say the suspect in the shooting fled the scene. As the investigation continues, Roshawn Jones hopes Isiah Jones is remembered for who he was both inside and outside the ring.
"He set the tone for everybody. He was the hardest working person in the gym and he’s just a great overall guy,” Roshawn Jones said. "He was a great guy, great family man, loved his kids and he did the best he could to provide for his children.”
Kandi Burruss and Tiny Harris Dish on What Fans Can Expect from Their Reality Series with SWV
Bravo’s limited series about girl groups Xscape and SWV has yet to air, but already the ladies are promising that it will deliver on what reality TV fans enjoy most: Drama.
The powerhouse ’90s R&B groups were last seen onstage together in May 2021 when they went toe to toe in a battle of hits on “Verzuz.” ”We tried to do something different this time around,” Xscape songstress Kandi Burruss shared while the group appeared on 93.5 FM’s “KDay Morning Show With Cece and Romeo” on Sept. 8.
She further explained, “We wanted to have, like you know, like with ‘Verzuz,’ I guess it inspired something for us to come together in a major way. To like, be able to put out shows together and not just, you know, us performing on the same show but actually merging the two performances together into one performance.”
The limited series is executive produced by reality TV maven Mona Scott-Young and is slated to premiere this winter. The concept for the series was first announced in June. According to a press release, “There is much at stake for these powerhouse women as they navigate different stages in their lives, both personally and professionally. From celebrating the power of collaboration and sisterhood to pushing to overcome obstacles, there is no shortage of wonder, watching two of the most iconic female R&B groups of the ’90s come together for this multi-part limited series.”
Burruss’ band mate Tameka “Tiny” Harris added that there was “a lot of hell” in merging the two iconic acts. She noted that, at times, dealing with everyone’s egos made filming a challenge. She continued, “Yup, that’s why I’m saying it’s going to be a lot of hell, you know? You’ll get a chance to see all of that. I mean, you know, you got two powerful groups. Two groups that have been doing their thing and successfully, we all deserve a certain amount of respect.”
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star previously shared that drama unfolded as cameras began to roll this summer. Surprisingly though, she said the challenges were with her band mates, which also includes singing sister duo LaTocha and Tamika Scott.
Phoenix Suns and Mercury Owner Robert Sarver Says He’s Selling Franchises Following Investigation
Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury owner Robert Sarver has said that he will be selling both of the franchises, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
“As a man of faith, I believe in atonement and the path to forgiveness. I expected that the commissioner’s one-year suspension would provide the time for me to focus, make amends and remove my personal controversy from the teams that I and so many fans love,” Sarver said via a statement, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday. “But in our current unforgiving climate, it has become painfully clear that that is no longer possible – that whatever good I have done, or could still do, is outweighed by things I have said in the past. For those reasons, I am beginning the process of seeking buyers for the Suns and Mercury.”
The news comes on the heels of the NBA conducting an independent investigation into workplace misconduct, which concluded that “Sarver, on at least five occasions during his tenure with the Suns/Mercury organization, repeated the N-word when recounting the statements of others.”
The investigation also found that “Sarver engaged in instances of inequitable conduct toward female employees, made many sex-related comments in the workplace, made inappropriate comments about the physical appearance of female employees and other women, and on several occasions engaged in inappropriate physical conduct toward male employees.”
Sarver was ultimately handed down a $10 million fine and was suspended from the Suns and Mercury organization for one year.
Suns Owner Robert Sarver Allegedly Asked Why Draymond Green Could Use N-Word, Proceeded to Repeat Word
After news of the fine and suspension broke, LeBron James wrote that the “league definitely got this wrong.”
He continued, “I don’t need to explain why. Y’all read the stories and decide for yourself. I said it before and I’m gonna say it again, there is no place in this league for that kind of behavior.”
Mike Tyson Admits To Offering Remy Ma His Luxury Car To Stay The Night With Him
Mike Tyson may not see a value in money these days, but back in his younger years, he used to think he could sway everyone with his wealth. The former boxer has admitted that he once offered Remy Ma one of his luxury cars to keep him company for the night.
The story was brought up by Fat Joe during a sit-down with Angie Martinez and Mike's wife Lakiha Spicer "Hotboxing with Mike Tyson" podcast. In the latest installment of the podcast series, the rapper said, "He wanted to keep Remy Ma.... Mike invites me to the house an he says bring Remy Ma with you. This is around lean back or some s**t like that."
"We go to the house. He opens the door butt naked. Mike opens the door a** naked," the "Lean Back" spitter continued as Tyson laughed on. Detailing the former boxing champion's antics, the musician continued, "I'm only worried about him. He takes me a tour of the house, I'm not lying to you. Every room I walked in there was a chick in every room, in every f**king room. I'm like what the f**k, I'm like this guy lives a f**king life. He offered us some f**king 500 bands. I was like, 'Oh my god.' "
Northwestern University issues statement after video shows alleged student in Blackface
Northwestern University hopped on Twitter to clear the air yesterday (Sept. 20) after social media users accused one of its students of making a racist video and posting it online. In the clip, a young Asian man sits next to a television screen watching Halle Bailey star as The Little Mermaid. Next, he puts a black mask over his face and adds a red wig. In the video, he wears a hoodie with the school’s logo.
Bailey has faced public backlash for being a Black woman starring in the live-action remake of Disney’s 1989 animated film — which features a white mermaid as Ariel. While some critics were upset that Disney decided to change Ariel’s look, many cheered on the company’s decision to allow little Black girls to see themselves in Bailey.
It’s safe to say Black Twitter was not about to let the alleged student’s disrespect slide. “Has Northwestern addressed the racist Indonesian man who made that disgusting Little Mermaid mockery, yet?” one tweet read. Other posts listed the university’s phone number to the International Programs Department and the Dean’s Office urging social media users to call and alert the school of the young man’s behavior.
The school heard the complaints loud and clear and released a statement. “We have learned of a racist video that is circulating on social media,” Dean Hari Osofsky began. “Based on our investigation, we have confirmed that the person who made this video is not a current student, but someone with a similar name appears to be a former student at the law school,” the Northwestern official continued.
Osofsky condemned the viral clip, adding, “The views expressed in the video in question are abhorrent and disgusting. The university’s and law school’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is unwavering. We strongly denounce the video.” Osofsky shared the statement via Twitter and her post was retweeted by Northwestern University.
Kadeem Hardison And Jasmine Guy Talk About "A Different World" Wedding
On Wednesday (Sept. 21), actors Jasmine Guy and Kadeem Hardison appeared on “The Breakfast Club” to talk about the 30th anniversary of their iconic wedding scene from the classic Black television series “A Different World.”
Hardison spoke in detail about the scene in which his character, Dwayne Wayne, interrupts the wedding of his ex-girlfriend Whitley Marion Gilbert, portrayed by Guy. “We have done so much real things on the show. So many things that felt real—from the AIDS and the apartheid and all of that and for me to crash this wedding like this felt like a complete leap. It didn’t make any sense,” Hardison started.
The actor shares how he prepared his mind and body for the infamous wedding scene. “And I read [the script] two weeks before. It was a two-part episode, so I knew for two weeks that I was [going to] have to get to that place where I had to break up this wedding. And it was really hard. And one thing that I gave myself was — as I [was] coming down the aisle, there was a dude on my left. [So] I told him, ‘When you grab me, make sure you get a good grip on my left arm because I am going to struggle and try to get away.’ And as soon as I felt him go to grab me, I gave him a swim move and got out of it, and that propelled me forward.”
The 57-year-old actor said he was “nervous” and forgot his lines while shooting the scene. “I was so nervous about if I don’t get it right the first time, it’s going to degrade, it’s going to get worse because I am really having a hard time committing to all of these words. I don’t believe it. Kadeem don’t believe it,” Hardison confessed.
In response to Hardison saying he was “drowning” during the taping of the iconic scene and ended up adding ad-libs, Guy chimed in, saying: “And there will never be [a scene] like that. That was the first and only take in front of that audience, and the audience lost it.”
Labeled as one of the “greatest wedding scenes in TV history,” Hardison and Guy’s nuptials aired in May 21, 1992, viewed by millions.
“A Different World” followed the lives of several Black students of “Hillman College,” a fictional historically Black college in Virginia. The show motivated many Black children to attend historically Black Colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the late 1980s and early 1990s. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, in 1994, about 280,000 students attended 103 HBCUs. Between 1976 and 1994, HBCU enrollment rose by 26 percent, but most of the increase occurred between 1986 and 1994.

Here’s More ‘Beverly Hills Cop 4’ News: Original Stars Judge Reinhold, Paul Reiser, and More will Join Eddie Murphy for the Revival!
Eddie Murphy isn’t the only OG “Beverly Hills Cop” back for the revival film. After “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley” was announced earlier this year with Murphy reprising his titular role of Detroit detective turned L.A. police officer Axel Foley, Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser and Bronson Pinchot will now reprise their respective roles for the fourth film installment.
While plot details for “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley” have been mostly kept under wraps, it is rumored to follow Axel (Murphy) returning to Beverly Hills to look into the death of an old friend while uncovering police corruption within the force. In Los Angeles, he reunites with his daughter (Taylour Paige) and teams up with her by-the-book cop ex-boyfriend (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) to solve the case.
Mark Malloy helms the film, using a script penned by “Aquaman” screenwriter Will Beall, who previously wrote the “Training Day” TV series. Beall also is writing other ’80s revival film “Legend of Conan” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Jerry Bruckheimer produces “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley” along with lead star Murphy. Charisse Hewitt-Webster and Ray Angelic serve as executive producers, with Chad Oman and Melissa Reid as co-producers for Jerry Bruckheimer Films.
The original supporting star Reinhold previously played Detective William “Billy” Rosewood, Axel’s antagonist within the LAPD. “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley” marks Reinhold’s first film in five years since 2017’s “Bad Grandmas” and Lifetime TV movie “Four Christmases and a Wedding.”
Ashton will play the now-retired Sergeant John Taggart, with Emmy winner Reiser as Axel’s pal and Detroit Police Department partner. Pinchot reprises his role of art dealer Serge. “Beverly Hills Cop” spurred two sequels, released in 1987 and 1994, respectively. The fourth film comes 38 years after the original, much like the history-making blockbuster “Top Gun: Maverick” sequel 36 years later. “Beverly Hills Cop” earned an Academy Award nomination in 1984 for Best Original Screenplay.
Reiser reflected on reuniting with co-star Murphy, telling Slash Film, “I was finally glad to see that he actually didn’t quite look 23 anymore. It’s like, a year ago, this fucking guy looks exactly the same.”
The release date for “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley” has yet to be announced. The film is currently in production.
Jeff Garlin Reveals He's Living with Bipolar Disorder: 'I'm Doing the Best I Can'
The 60-year-old actor and comedian opened up about the mental health struggles on Instagram Tuesday. "Bipolar is a motherf—er. Sometimes it's just too much to deal with," he wrote. "I'm doing the best I can. This is the first time that I've opened up about this."
Bipolar disorder is a manic-depressive illness of the brain that causes extreme changes in mood and energy levels, according to the National Institute of Mental Health.
There are four basic types of the disorder, which are characterized by periods of elation and hyper-activity known as manic episodes, which are then followed by depressive stages where the patient experiences feelings of sadness and depression.
Patients will often experience intense emotions as well as disruption to sleep patterns and their ability to think clearly. These periods can last for an extended time — days or even weeks — with no clear way of predicting when one period will end and another will begin. This can cause patients to have difficulty at work, school or in maintaining their relationships.
It's estimated that nearly 6 million Americans have some form of the disorder, including celebrities such as Kanye West, Bebe Rexha, and Mariah Carey, who have previously opened up about their experiences.
Garlin's message about bipolar disorder came hours ahead of the season 10 premiere of The Goldbergs, which he was excluded from after exiting the show last December amid allegations of inappropriate behavior on set.
The actor owned up to "silly" behavior in a conversation with Vanity Fair that same month.
"There has been an HR investigation on me the past three years. HR has come to me three years in a row for my behavior on set," he said at the time. "It's always the same thing. It's about me and my silliness on set. They don't think it's appropriate. I do. That's where we're at. I've not been fired because of it. We just think differently."
Garlin also insisted he never meant to harm his colleagues, saying, "I'm sorry, I truly am sorry, to have hurt anyone's feelings, or made anyone feel greatly uncomfortable."
Tiffany Haddish claims she lost all her jobs amid child molestation lawsuit
Tiffany Haddish claims she “lost everything” as a result of the now-dismissed allegations of child molestation and grooming made against her and fellow comic Aries Spears.
“All my gigs, gone. Everything, gone,” she told TMZ on Wednesday. “I don’t have no job, bro.”
According to IMDB, Haddish, 42, has two projects in post-production, but none that she is currently filming or listed as in pre-production.
She also has no upcoming tour dates for her comedy tour, per Ticketmaster.
Haddish and Spears, 47, were accused of grooming and molesting a brother and sister when they were 14 and 7 years old, respectively, in a lawsuit filed earlier this month.
The alleged victims claimed Haddish coerced them into participating in explicit comedy skits.
One of the shoots allegedly involved the “Girls Trip” star teaching the alleged victim’s sister, known only as Jane Doe in court records, how to mimic fellatio for a skit about kids arguing over a sub sandwich.
The suit also claimed that the little boy was molested by Haddish and Spears while filming a disturbing video published via Funny Or Die and more online platforms, titled “Through a Pedophile’s Eyes.”
Haddish and Spears were both dismissed from the lawsuit this week.
However, the two siblings who made the accusations dismissed the lawsuit this week.
“My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years – and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us,” the woman told TMZ on Tuesday, on behalf of herself and her brother.
“We wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us.”
For his part, Spears previously slammed the claims, calling them “extortion.”
New York Man Who Claimed To Be In Bed With Bobby Shmurda Apologizes After Getting Death Threats: ‘It Was A Harmless Joke, I Would Never Expose Or Hurt Anyone’
A few days ago a New York man named Xavier Raza claimed he was in bed with Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda. Bobby eventually responded to the allegation, essentially claiming his opps were trying to sabotage him and his tour. Now, Xavier is apologizing for taking his “harmless joke” too far after allegedly receiving death threats.
Before his newest post on social media, Xavier reposted a clip of Bobby in bed with two people. Both of the people on each side of the rapper had their faces covered under the sheets. Taking that to his advantage, Xavier captioned the post, “I’m mad shy, but Bobby loves meee.”
After the Facebook post went viral, Bobby took to his Instagram and said, “I’m really that scary. Ay, they trying to f**k up my tour cuz I’m not with them anymore and I’m taking they artist on tour. Like they try sabotage m EP, lower my sound, all kinda crazy nerd sh*t. They don’t want it played nowhere. They pay for they artist to get played.”

Xavier took to social media and said:
“I’m still trying to wrap my head around all of this.. but I wanted to address everything that’s going on right now. I owe everybody an explanation but most importantly I owe an apology to Bobby Shmurda and his fans.
“I’m sorry for everything that’s going on and confusion I have caused anyone this past weekend. That was NOT me in the video. What was meant to be a harmless joke, shook the internet. I never thought my post would go viral and it was never my intention to mislead anyone.”
Continuing, Xavier said, “I have been receiving death threats and keep seeing my name attached to headlines that are far from the truth.. I have been hesitant to speak out, but I wanted to clear my name and put an end to this rumor.
Although I have realized that no matter what I say or do they’re always going to be people that will not believe my intentions or think that I’m lying. I know what it’s like to be bullied for being gay, I would never want to put that on anyone else.. Anyone who knows me understands I was not doing this for clout and would never want to ‘expose’ or hurt anyone.”

Two People Claim Nearly $2 Billion Mega Millions Lottery Prize
Two people are the winners of a nearly $2 billion prize.
Imagine winning the lottery only to find out someone also has won the same jackpot you have. That’s the situation for two lucky peeps, who came forward as the winners of $1.34 billion.
Both tickets were purchased in July at a Speedway gas station in Des Plaines. Both winners have decided to split the money. Both winners chose to stay anonymous, and they both opted to receive a lump sum payment of $780.5 million, reports CNN.
“I’ve been working for the Illinois Lottery for over five years and this is by far the largest prize I’ve ever had to process. When we met with the winners’ lawyers there was a real buzz of excitement in the room,” said Illinois Lottery Claims Manager Luis Rodriguez.
“It’s a surreal feeling giving away this amount of money and knowing what a huge impact this is going to make on the winners’ lives, and for others close to them as well. It was an incredible feeling just to be part of that process – so I can only imagine how the winners themselves are feeling,” Rodriguez went on, CNN reports.
College Student, 19, Dies From Frat Hazing; Family Receives $1 Million In Settlement
A family is set to receive $1 million in a settlement deal after a college student died being hazed by a fraternity.
In February 2021, the Delta Chi fraternity gave 19-year-old former pledgee Adam Oakes the instruction to drink a large bottle of whiskey. The next morning, the Loudoun County native was found dead. His death was caused by alcohol poising, according to a chief medical examiner, NBC News reports.
The fraternity was expelled from Virginia Commonwealth University months later, in June 2021.
This past Friday, Adam’s family was approved to receive a settlement of $1 million.
“This is a blueprint to foster a safer and healthier community for students who are part of fraternities and sororities and to create a climate of respect and inclusion that is needed for academic success,” reads a joint statement from the family and university, NBC News reports.
The statement continued: “Adam was a beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin, student and friend. He had a tremendous future ahead of him and his senseless death brought unspeakable pain and tragedy to all who knew him.”
Philadelphia Ex-Cop Convicted In 2017 Fatal Shooting Of Unarmed Black Man
A jury convicted a former Philadelphia police officer on Wednesday of the 2017 fatal shooting of a 25-year-old unarmed Black man in what was described as the city’s first murder trial in almost half a century for a civilian’s death at the hands of law enforcement.
Eric Ruch Jr., 34, was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter and possession of an instrument of crime in the killing of Dennis Plowden. The jury found Ruch not guilty of third-degree murder. The ex-officer was denied bail, and his sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 17.
Ruch was in an unmarked police vehicle on Dec. 27, 2017, when he spotted Plowden driving a car the officer claimed he believed was connected to a homicide case, and he called in for more backup. But prosecutors argued that Ruch’s message to other police officers contained no information indicating that anyone confidently knew the vehicle may have been involved in a homicide.
The increase in police cars led to a high-speed chase that prosecutors said lasted about 2½ minutes, until Plowden crashed into several parked cars and a pole. Plowden was reportedly dazed and sitting on the ground while raising his left hand to try to obey police commands when Ruch shot him in the head. Plowden was shot about six seconds after Ruch arrived on the scene.
Ruch and other officers who were at the scene, none of whom was equipped with a body camera, claimed that they believed Plowden was using his right hand to reach for a weapon in his jacket. But prosecutors accused the officers of lying, arguing that Plowden could not pose a threat when he was dazed, on the ground and defenseless. There was no gun found on the man after he was shot.
The Philadelphia Police Department fired Ruch about 10 months after the shooting. Former Police Commissioner Richard Ross, who was responsible for the firing, said that Ruch used “poor tactics” and went “too far” in killing Plowden, according to WCAU-TV.
A grand jury in 2020 recommended four criminal charges against Ruch, including one for first-degree murder. The first-degree charge was later thrown out.
Ruch’s prosecution was one of three homicide cases brought against police since progressive Larry Krasner became Philadelphia’s district attorney in 2018. The other two are pending and accuse Ryan Pownall in the death of 30-year-old David Jones, as well as Edsaul Mendoza in the death of 12-year-old Thomas “TJ” Siderio. Pownall and Mendoza were also dismissed by the police department after the killings.
Before Krasner, the last time Philadelphia held a murder trial for law enforcement in the death of a civilian was almost 40 years ago, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. A jury acquitted former police officer John Ziegler in 1984 in the fatal shooting of a teenager.
In a statement on Wednesday, Krasner thanked the jury and he thanked his team for their work on the case. He said he will “say more about this trial” upon Ruch’s sentencing in November. Plowden’s family had already won a $1.2 million wrongful death settlement from the city
The FBI Believes the Grand Theft Auto VI Hacker Could Be a Kid
A week after anonymous hackers breached both Uber and Rockstar Games’ network servers, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice are investigating a British teenager as the prime suspect.
According to Forbes, the alleged hacker is only 16 years old and possibly the leader of Lapsus$, a crime group in the United Kingdom. On Sunday (Sept. 18), a total of 90 video clips of the in-development version of the Grand Theft Auto VI video game were shared by uploader teapotuberhacker on the GTAForums website.
The publication reports that the alleged hacker, possibly the uploader, was arrested in March by the City of London Police for activities involving the Lapsus$ group. In a BBC report, the 16-year-old, who could not be named for legal reasons, reportedly earned $14 million from his crimes. In both cases, the young hacker’s group was behind his identity reveal.
On Monday (Sept. 19), Uber released a statement to its customers detailing the breach allegedly caused by Lapsus$. “An Uber EXT contractor had their account compromised by an attacker. It is likely that the attacker purchased the contractor’s Uber corporate password on the dark web after the contractor’s personal device had been infected with malware, exposing those credentials,” the statement reads.
It continued, “From there, the attacker accessed several other employee accounts, which ultimately gave the attacker elevated permissions to a number of tools, including G-Suite and Slack. The attacker then posted a message to a company-wide Slack channel, which many of you saw, and reconfigured Uber’s OpenDNS to display a graphic image to employees on some internal sites.” The company realized its servers were compromised last Thursday (Sept. 15), forcing it to take several internal communications and engineering systems offline while investigating the attack.
Rockstar Games also issued a statement via Twitter, describing the breach as “an intrusion by a third party.” “We are extremely disappointed to have any details of our game shared with you all in this way. We will update everyone again soon and, of course, will properly introduce you to this next game when it is ready,” the statement concludes.
As of yet, no arrests have been made in relation to the Uber or Rockstar Games hackings
