#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey: Joining ‘RHOBH’?
Could a diamond replace her peach? Cynthia Bailey tells Page Six exclusively that joining “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” following her 2021 exit from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is plausible.
“‘Beverly Hills’ comes up a lot, and that’s one of those situations where it would just have to be organic,” Bailey, 55, says while promoting her role in ALLBLK’s scripted TV show “Terror Lake Drive: Single Black Female.”
The budding actress — who made the move from Georgia to Los Angeles after marrying sportscaster Mike Hill in October 2020 — notes that she already has solid friendships with “RHOBH” star Garcelle Beauvais and rookie Sheree Zampino.
“I know Garcelle, I actually know Sheree, who is one of the new ‘friends of’ on the show. I know [Lisa] Rinna, I know Kyle [Richards], I’ve worked with Dorit [Kemsley]. I’ve never met Sutton [Stracke],” Bailey says.
“I feel like I know those ladies well enough that if it ever wanted to make sense, it can make sense.”
For now, though, the former model is laser-focused on making her mark in Hollywood as an actress. In addition to “Terror Lake Drive,” Bailey has scored parts in scripted projects for the likes of AMC, Lifetime and Fox Entertainment throughout her self-determined reality TV hiatus.
“I really came out to LA to start my acting career. I really didn’t come here to join ‘Beverly Hills,’” she points out. “Now, once the acting kicks off — because that’s the priority right now — if I slide in there every now and then, I’m not opposed to it. It would just have to make sense, but it’s not my focus right now.”
If the stars do align for Bailey to appear on Bravo’s 90210-set franchise, she hopes to start over with series OG Richards, 53, with whom she memorably butted heads while filming Season 1 of Peacock’s “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” spinoff.
“We disconnected and then connected!” the “RHOA” alum says with a laugh, reflecting on the ladies’ fight at her Turks and Caicos Bailey-Q over a benign group dinner game.
“I gave Kyle a really hard time on that trip! I’m 55 and premenopausal. We’re just going to blame it on premenopause at this point. I was like, ‘Play the game, just play the game!’”
Until she potentially reunites with Richards on camera, Bailey is keeping up with the “Beverly Hills” drama from the comfort of her couch.
The CB VIOR founder tells us she is proud of Beauvais, 55, for how she handled a recent spat with Richards and Erika Jayne over the latter’s treatment of Beauvais’ children.
“I definitely felt bad for Kyle and Erika in that moment because I was like, ‘They’ve got some explaining to do. This is not coming out right. This is not looking right,’” she says. “But Garcelle is a class-act as well. She’s smart and rational. She’s a rational person so, you know, she’ll always say what she needs to say and move on.”
At Beauvais’ televised birthday party, Jayne, 50, hit on the “Coming 2 America” actress’ 31-year-old son, Oliver Saunders, and proceeded to tell her 14-year-old son Jax to “get the f—k out” of the event.
Richards later giggled about Jayne’s alcohol-fueled behavior during a get-together with Kemsley, 46, and their husbands. (Kemsley notably remained neutral in the kerfuffle.)
Bailey tells Page Six that she is pleased both Jayne and Richards apologized to her good pal Beauvais.
“I really am happy that Erika apologized immediately. Kyle, from what I saw online, has apologized. When you’re filming, you’re just going to have moments where you’re going to make mistakes,” she says. “Kudos to Garcelle for being open to their apologies.”

Law and Order: Organized Crime Crew Member Shot and Killed on Set
A Law & Order: Organized Crime crew member is dead after a fatal shooting on set.
According to a New York Police Department spokesperson, a 31-year-old parking enforcement worker, who has been identified as Johnny Pizarro, was shot while sitting in a car on the Brooklyn set on the morning of July 19. The victim, who was saving parking spots for the production according to the NYPD, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 6 a.m.
The death is currently being investigated as a homicide, with the NYPD describing the suspect as a Hispanic male, 5'4, of thin build wearing a black hoodie and black pants. No arrests have been made.
Police noted that the deceased wasn't employed by NBC or Universal Television, but rather a company doing work related to parking.
NBC and Universal Television expressed condolences to the victim's family in a statement. "We were terribly saddened and shocked to hear that one of our crew members was the victim of a crime early this morning and has died as a result," the statement reads. "We are working with local law enforcement as they continue to investigate."
They added, "Our hearts go out to his family and friends and we ask that you respect their privacy during this time."
Christopher Meloni, who reprised his role as Det. Elliott Stabler in the SVU spin-off, confirmed production is underway on season three July 14. The actor shared a video from the set to Instagram with the caption, "#OCseason3 #herewego."
Tyra Banks Was Given “Dancing With The Stars” Ultimatum: Accept Alfonso Ribeiro As Co-Host Or Be Fired
Tyra Banks is usually the one handing out ultimatums, but it appears as though the tables have turned.
Radar Online reported that the face of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ was given a firm choice: Co-host season 31 of ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ with Alfonso Ribeiro … or be out of a job.
According to a source,“Tyra was basically told that she would have to co-host the show with Alfonso or not host the show at all. Tyra tried to host the show solo, and it just didn’t work. She thought her personality and talent would be enough, but viewers didn’t agree. Focus groups showed they missed the chemistry of two hosts working together. Obviously, Tyra wasn’t happy about the decision, but she had no choice, if she refused, she would have been shown the door.”
Tyra Banks was controversially hired for ‘DWTS’ in 2020 to replace fan favorites Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews. While sources are saying something different, she seemed to be excited to be sharing screen time with Alfonso Ribeiro again all these years.
The pair previously appeared on ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air‘ during Tyra Banks‘ acting debut in the show’s fourth season.
She said,
“I’ve known Alfonso since I was 19 years old and he always puts a smile on my face whenever I see him.. Having such a fun-loving, longtime friend as co-host warms my heart. Plus, he’s won the competition before, so he knows exactly what the stars are going through. Bantering back and forth with him live is going to be so much fun!”
The given ultimatum may come as no surprise though to those who have witnessed Tyra receive cancellation requests due to her behavior on ‘ANTM.’ Sources close to ‘DWTS’ have also said she is a “nightmare” to work with and viewers despise her. They said,
“Alfonso has worked with Tyra before and knows what he is getting into. She might not [want] him around, but the good news is everyone else does.”
Alfonso Ribeiro, who is best known for playing Carlton Banks alongside Will Smith on the hit 90s sitcom [‘Fresh Prince’] took home the winning title for the dancing competition in 2014 and shared his excitement about re-joining the squad. He said,
“‘Dancing with the Stars’ has been such an important part of my life for so many years, and I am ecstatic to officially re-join this tight-knit family as cohost. Tyra and I have a longstanding friendship that I hope will resonate with all of the fans at home as we kick off this new season on Disney+.”

Elon Musk Denied Delay in Twitter Lawsuit, Trial to Begin in October
A US judge has ordered that Twitter’s lawsuit against Elon Musk go to trial in October, a blow to the world’s richest man who had asked for a delay.
After pushback from Elon Musk on the timeline for his faceoff in court with Twitter, the court has ruled that the trial will begin in October, NPR reports.
Twitter is prepared to go blow for blow with the billionaire in a courtroom after he made the decision to call off a $44 billion deal to purchase the platform.
As previously reported by REVOLT, Musk put a halt to the deal citing that the company failed to provide him with reports on the number of spam and bot accounts on the app.
“The reality is that delay threatens irreparable harm to the sellers and Twitter, said Kathaleen McCormick, the chief judge at Delaware’s Court of Chancery.
Initially, Musk’s lawyers were hoping that the case could be pushed back to early next year. “The longer the delay, the greater the risk,” McCormick noted.
On the other hand, Twitter already has a slight victory over Musk in the case. The social media networking site made a request for an expedited four-day trial in September.
According to the lead attorney for Twitter, Musk’s threat to pull out of the deal “inflicts harm on Twitter every hour of every day.”
Musk’s lawyer, Andrew Rossman alleges that Twitter’s call for a September trial is “completely unjustifiable.” Furthermore, he believes that it would take months to analyze the application’s data while also seeking additional information from experts.
He also doubled down on Musk’s belief that Twitter has continuously given him the runaround with providing receipts for the number of spam and fake accounts that are currently active on the site.
“The answers that he got were alarming,” said Rossman. “The runaround that he got from the company was even more alarming.”
Twitter’s lead lawyer, Bill Savitt, simply believes that this is all a part of Musk’s plan to delay the trial “long enough to never really face a reckoning.”
Deion Sanders to Donate Half His Salary to Jackson State to complete Football Facility
Jackson State University head football coach Deion Sanders has committed to giving up half of his annual salary to ensure that his team’s new facility is completed in time for the upcoming season.
According to the Jackson Clarion Ledger, Sanders has a deal worth $1.2 million over three years which averages out to $300,000 a year.
Constance Schwatz-Morini, who is the founder of SMAC Entertainment which represents Sanders, told him that the budget for the project had been reached. She encouraged him to donate a quarter of his salary to get the upgrades completed.
“This is your legacy we're talking about," Schwartz-Morini told Sanders.
“I’ll put more than that on it to get this done for these kids,” Sanders, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, says in a viral video. “… I’ll put half on it to get this done. If you don’t believe me, check me. I will send you the receipts.”
Sanders wants the facility done by August 4—one month before the Tigers opener against Florida A&M.
“Coach Prime,” as he is known, signed a four-year agreement to coach Jackson State in 2020. In the 2021 season, he led the team to an 11-1 record and went 8-0 in the SWAC conference. He recruited his sons Shedeur and Shilo to play for the team. His daughter, Shelomi, has committed to playing basketball at the university as well.
Although Sanders has entered a new phase as a college football coach, he is still best known for his years in the NFL as a defensive back from 1989 to 2000, playing mainly for the Atlanta Falcons and the Dallas Cowboys for 11 years and coming out of retirement briefly to play for the Baltimore Ravens for two seasons before permanently retiring.
He also played Major League Baseball concurrently for several teams including the Cincinnati Reds, the Atlanta Braves, the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants from 1988 to 2001.
Linda Evangelista, 57, appears in her first campaign since being 'permanently deformed' by cosmetic procedure
Linda Evangelista is back in front of the camera for the first time since opening up about her CoolSculpting nightmare.
The model took to her Instagram on Saturday to share a photo of herself from the latest Fendi campaign, which is the first she's done since saying she'd been "permanently deformed" by a cosmetic procedure years ago.
"I am so grateful," she wrote on her latest post.
Evangelista, 57, has long been considered one of the most influential supermodels of all time after rising to fame in the 80's, but in September 2021 she opened up about taking a step out of the spotlight for a couple years after a fat-freezing procedure.
"Today I took a big step towards righting a wrong that I have suffered and have kept to myself for over five years. To my followers who have wondered why I have not been working while my peers' careers have been thriving, the reason is that I was brutally disfigured by Zeltiq's CoolSculpting procedure which did the opposite of what it promised," she wrote in an Instagram post alongside the hashtags #TheTruth and #MyStory.
Within her explanation of the procedure gone wrong, Evangelista wrote that CoolSculpting increased her number of fat cells instead of decreasing them and left her "unrecognizable." She was eventually diagnosed with Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH) — a rare condition that explained the adverse effect of the CoolSculpting — and even underwent corrective liposuction surgeries that she said were unsuccessful.
While talking to People in Feb. 2022, the model went into further detail about the "bulges" of hardened fat that appeared on her body after seven sessions of CoolSculpting between August 2015 and Feb. 2016. "If I walk without a girdle in a dress, I will have chafing to the point of almost bleeding. Because it's not like soft fat rubbing, it's like hard fat rubbing," she told the magazine. "I don't recognize myself physically, but I don't recognize me as a person any longer either."
Still, she promised, "I'm not going to hide anymore."
Now, months after sharing her story and ridding herself of the shame that she was experiencing, Evangelista is receiving praise for her return to modeling.
"Linda Forever!" one person commented on her latest post. "Still the greatest model of all time," wrote another.
Murder Charges Dropped Against NYC Bodega Owner
On Tuesday (July 19), the Manhattan District Attorney’s filed a motion to drop all charges against New York City bodega owner, Jose Alba. The 61-year-old stabbed Austin Simon to death during an altercation inside of his store earlier this month. The filing from D.A’s office stated, “A homicide case against Alba could not be proven at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Simon, who was unarmed, allegedly confronted Alba over the payment for a bag of potato chips for his girlfriend’s 10-year-old daughter. The 35-year-old went behind the counter and shoved the old man. Alba then retaliated by stabbing him three times.
Prosecutors requested for Alba to be held on $500,000 bail because of an alleged planned trip to the Dominican Republic. But a judge slashed it down to $250,000. As the surveillance footage began surfacing online, the judge lowered the bail to $50,o00 if Alba agreed to wear an ankle monitor and hand over his passport. He was released the same day after his boss and relatives scraped up the minimum required payment of $5,000.
Austin Simon’s cousin Candra addressed the filing. “We are all clearly disappointed and can’t understand how it’s OK to take an unarmed man’s life,” she said. “This decision sets a dangerous precedent.”
New York City mayor Eric Adams publicly supported the “hardworking” bodega owner. “My heart goes out for this hard-working, honest New Yorker that was doing his job in his place of business, where a person came in and went behind the counter and attacked him,” he said during a press conference. But he didn’t question the charges the Manhattan D.A. filed against him. “The DA has a non-mandate, where we cannot dictate or mandate how he determines how he’s going to prosecute crimes. That is up to the district attorney, and I’m not going to second-guess the district attorney for his actions.”
Mo'Nique's very own comedy special is coming to Netflix
Today (July 19), Netflix has officially announced that Mo’Nique’s first original stand-up comedy special is coming to the platform very soon. The Grammy-nominated, Oscar and Golden Globe award-winning actor and comedian is expected to film the special this year in Atlanta. The show is yet to be titled and additional details are on the way.
The big news was announced with a short clip that sees Mo’Nique sharing her excitement for this new journey. “Can y’all believe this (bleep)? Can y’all believe this (bleep)? I done came on home to Netflix,” says Mo’Nique in the beginning of the video.

What Mo’Nique says in the beginning of the clip is in reference to the well-known, years-long standoff between the star and the streaming service. Last month, Mo’Nique reportedly settled a race and sex discrimination suit against Netflix that she initially filed back in November of 2019. The suit alleged that “Netflix’s treatment of Mo’Nique began with a discriminatory low-ball offer and ended with a blacklisting act of retaliation.”
The aforementioned The Deliverance film will also feature Andra Day, Glenn Close, Aunjanue Ellis, Caleb McLaughlin, Tasha Smith, Omar Epps, Demi Singleton, Miss Lawrence, and Anthony B. Jenkins. The Deliverance is inspired by a true story about a mother who fights for her life and the souls of her children after she discovers a strong demonic presence is taking over her home.
Comedian Jak Knight's cause of death revealed
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner confirmed Jak Knight’s cause of death on Monday (July 18). The comedian was found on a Los Angeles embankment with a gunshot wound, as reported by PEOPLE. The coroner ruled Knight’s death a suicide.
The 28-year-old’s family confirmed his passing with Entertainment Weekly on Thursday (July 14). Knight’s untimely demise was met with an outpour of love on social media from his industry peers. “RIP Jak Knight. Praying for his friends,” Chance the Rapper wrote. “Everything’s Trash” star, Phoebe Robinson, also shared her sentiments on Twitter. “Truly shocked to hear about Jak Knight’s passing. Only 28. A brilliant stand-up comic and dope person. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and loved ones.”
Knight was known as a multifaceted comedic talent and started his career opening for the likes of Dave Chappelle, Aziz Ansari, and Joel McHale. He recently co-created executive produced the Peacock comedy series, “Bust Down.” The show centered around four friends who work for minimum wage at an Ohio casino. Knight celebrated his recent career milestone on social media. “A lot of unbelievably talented people worked hard to make one of the dumbest shows ever. The era of ashy had begun. Musty niggas lets get in formation!”
Peacock and UTV released a statement regarding the rising talent’s death: “We are devastated by the passing of Jak Knight. He was a brilliant comedian, visionary and artist and we were all lucky to experience his greatness. Our hearts are with Jak’s family, friends and community during this heartbreaking time.”

Sesame Place Will Undergo Bias Training After Being Accused Of Racism
Sesame Street will undergo new bias training following a recent incident where a costumed character appears to ignore two Black children at a Philadelphia theme park, ABC News reports.
According to the nonprofit that runs the company, Sesame Workshop, a bias training and “a thorough review of the ways in which they engage families and guests” will be conducted at Sesame Place.
As previously reported by REVOLT, a video of someone dressed in a Rosita costume went viral after she ignored two little Black girls as they waved excitedly at her.
While the character issues high-fives to other attendees eagerly awaiting acknowledgement, the video shows her seemingly shaking her head at the two little Black girls before walking away from them with no further recognition.
A woman who is said to be the aunt of one of the young girls took to Twitter to reveal that the little girl was there celebrating a birthday, prompting the hashtag #BabyPaige to spread like wildfire.
After backlash from several people, including Kelly Rowland, the company issued an apology.
“As a global nonprofit educational organization with a mission to help children grow smarter, stronger and kinder, Sesame Workshop has always stood for respect, inclusion and belonging and is committed to providing the highest quality engaging experiences for all children and families,” read the statement.
Despite the organization’s response, the family has revealed plans to sue to the company for the treatment of their loved ones.
“While we hate to speculate and consider ‘race’ as the motivating factor, which would explain the performer’s actions, such actions both before and after the young girls reached out only leads us to one conclusion,” said the attorney, B’Ivory LaMarr, representing the family.
Now, the park says employees will undergo training in an effort to provide an “inclusive, equitable and entertaining,” environment for attendees.

On Monday (July 18), Cher recalled suffering her miscarriage at 18-years-old while married to ex-husband Sonny Bono.
“When I was young I had 3 miscarriages. 1st at 18. I was alone in our house,” Cher tweeted. “Son came home & I was sobbing & rocking on our floor.”
“When I got 2 dr I was screaming in pain .Couldn’t even stop in elevator,” Cher continued. “Dr sent me straight 2 hospital & in2 operating rm. WHAT WOULD HAPPEN 2 ME TODAY😭”
Cher eventually welcomed two children – first Chaz Bono with Sonny and Elijah Blue Allman with her second husband Gregg Allman.
Police Accidentally Release Man Who Shot Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker
Authorities accidentally released the man who shot Lady Gaga’s dog walker from jail and said he’s “armed and dangerous.”
In a statement, the US Marshals seek the public’s help after James Howard Jackson,19, was accidentally released from jail in April and offered a $5,000 reward. They said a clerical error occurred after Jackson attended court proceedings at the Clara Shortridge Criminal Justice Center in Los Angeles. He was awaiting trial after being charged with attempted murder.
Ryan Fischer said in an Instagram post that he is concerned but hopes police will undo the error. “I ask for Mr. Jackson to turn himself over to the authorities, so resolution to the crime committed against me runs its course, whatever the courts determine that outcome to be,” he wrote.
“The U.S. Marshals are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man who was one of three charged with attempted murder and robbery following the February 24, 2021, attempted kidnapping of three French bulldogs belonging to American popstar Lady Gaga. James Howard Jackson, 19, was erroneously released from custody April 6, 2022, due to a clerical error. Jackson is alleged to have shot dog walker Ryan Fischer with a .40-caliber handgun while he was walking the three dogs in Los Angeles. Fischer sustained a through-and-through gunshot wound to his chest and was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Major Crime Team has requested the U.S. Marshals Service’s assistance to find and arrest Jackson. Jackson is a black male, with black hair and brown eyes. He stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds.”
Last February, Fischer was walking Lady Gaga’s dogs in West Hollywood when Jackson and his accomplices jumped and shot him during the altercation. After the shooting, the men took off with the two bulldogs, Koji and Gustav, and Fischer suffered from a collapsed lung. He was later transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
“Police arrested five people in April in connection with the attack, two of whom were charged as accessories after the fact. Jackson — along with Jaylin White, 19 and Lafayette Whaley, 27 – were all charged with one count of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and second-degree robbery.”
The animals were unharmed and dropped at a police station in Los Angeles by a woman named Jennifer McBride.
Fischer also expressed feelings of abandonment after the attack and thanked his supporters for donating to his GoFundMe to help with his medical expenses.
“I mean I am human) from the growing media story. I will write and say more later, but the gratitude for all the love I feel from around this planet is immense and intense. I felt your healing support! Thank you. I am humbled and grateful that attention and focus from the police were enough to get Koji and Gustav back to safety, and I know they are committed to bringing these criminals and attempted murderers to justice.”

Cops recently arrested a man at his California pad who claimed that the rapper is his pops! LAPD tells TMZ that cops were called to Drizzy’s Beverly Hills-adjacent mansion last Friday after an employee saw someone near the pool house. When police arrived, they found the 23-year-old who claimed that 35-year-old Drake was his dad and he was just waiting for him to come home.

Drake became a father to a son back on October 11, 2017 and we probably still wouldn’t know who his son is had rapper Pusha T not aired out his business in a 2018 rap song. It took him a month to release a brief but telling acknowledgment of fatherhood. Drake also spoke about Adonis in one of his tracks titled “Emotionless. “I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid,” he rapped.
“I am a single father learning to communicate with a woman who, you know, we’ve had our moments,” Drake said when he presented his son to the world. “I do want to be able to explain to my son what happened. But I don’t have any desire for him to like, not love his mother, or I don’t ever want the world to be angry at his mother. We have found ourselves in a situation, and we are both equally responsible.”
Adonis’ mother is Sophie Brussaux, the artistic director of Arts Help. The rapper previously said he has unconditional love for Brussaux because he wants Adonis “to love his mother and I have to project that energy.”
However, during an interview with Lil Wayne, Drake explained why he wanted to keep his precious son a secret, saying, “I want to be able to go places with my son and share memories with my son.” He added at the time, “I don’t want to feel like just because of a life choice I made to be, you know, a ‘celebrity’ that I got to make everybody live under this blanket. I just wanted to free myself of that.”

Michael Henderson: Legendary R&B/Soul Singer/Bassist Has Died at 71
Michael Henderson has died aged 71. Henderson grew up in Yazoo City, Mississippi, he then moved to Detroit in the early 1960s to chase his music career. It was there where everything began for the budding bassist, and he soon began establishing himself as a premier session musician. He later worked with the likes of Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and The Dramatics.
On top of his session work, Henderson also released an array of solo albums. His first record was 1976’s Gold, and his final release was 1986’s Bedtime Stories. Additionally, Henderson also featured as a vocalist on several tracks by Norman Connors, such as, ‘You Are My Starship’ and ‘Valentine Love’.
Henderson’s death was confirmed on his official Facebook page. The post read: “Singer, Songwriter, Bass Innovator, Music Producer, Father and Son Michael Henderson has peacefully made his transition surrounded by family and loved ones today at his home, Atlanta Georgia.”
It continued: “Bless his heart and soul… He touched the lives of many and returned that love through his many live concerts, music recordings, social media, interviews and incessant touring which he loved… Please stay posted for details pertaining to The Michael Henderson ‘Celebration of Life’.”
Bootsy Collins were among those who paid tribute to Henderson, and he wrote: “Dangit, we lost one of the Real One’s our Bass brother Mr. Michael Henderson (July 7, 1951-July 19,2022) was an American bass guitarist and vocalist. He was known for his work with Miles Davis, Dramatic’s, Stevie Wonder & many others. Prayers going out to his family & friends!”
Meet Nehemiah Juniel, 15, is Youngest Graduate at Sam Houston State University
*Nehemiah Juniel is set to make history at Sam Houston State University by being its youngest graduate at age 15.
Juniel will receive his bachelor’s degree in health sciences in August, according to Click 2 Houston. The outlet notes that the teenager is a master pianist and at age 5, “he was doing pre-algebra and received his Associate of Arts degree at 13 years old,” the outlet writes.
“Words can’t express how proud we are of him,” Raphael Juniel, the boy’s father, said, according to the report.
“Nehemiah was reading and writing at two. So, we always knew this kid was special,” said Nehemiah’s mother Corie Juniel.
Nehemiah was home-schooled by his parents “along with his sister, who will also graduate ahead of schedule from SHSU in the fall at 19 years old,” per the report.
“The sky is the limit,” Corie said. “We never focused on what grade [Nehemiah] was in.”
“‘Can’t,’ was like a curse word in our house,” Raphael said. “That came from my grandfather.”
The family decided on Sam Houston State University “because of their great efforts to work with the family,” per the outlet.
“Financial aid spent hours with us to get Nehemiah’s award package worked out. They went the extra mile when speaking with the Federal Student Aid office, and were the most patient, resilient staff we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with,” said Corie. “With my husband being a veteran, we used his Hazelwood benefits, and the Veterans Resource Center walked us through the process.”
Nehemiah admits that his educational journey so far has been met with great challenges.
“The biggest challenge was staying focused. It was especially difficult when the course material was uninteresting or something I already knew,” Nehemiah said. “I often needed encouragement from others to put effort into such work before I put myself back on track again. My professors and teaching assistants were the most positive aspect of my experience at SHSU.”
According to the report, Nehemiah will study for the MCAT as he dreams of one day working as a cardiologist.
“Around the age of 8 years old, I decided I wanted to become a surgeon of some sort,” Nehemiah said. “As I grew, I continued to change and specify what kind of career I wanted to pursue. This culminated in my decision to study cardiology.”
Nehemiah hopes to inspire others to not get discouraged while pursuing their dreams.
“Don’t get discouraged if you run into a few issues or if you fail a couple of times. As long as you keep trying, you will eventually reach your goal,” he said.

From Awkward Black Girl to bona fide mogul, Issa Rae has managed to become one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry without compromising her privacy.

While a glimpse at baby Rae is not entirely ruled out, she has had to make it clear that she's not expecting, even after rampant internet speculation led to her own mother thinking she was pregnant.
"My sister sent me a screenshot of my mom texting her an article like, 'Did she tell you ... Are the rumors true?' I was like, 'What?!' [My sister] was like, 'Not Mom believing in gossip!' I was like, 'But she texted you and she didn't even ask me!' I'm like, 'Mom, a pregnancy … you really think that I would hide a grandchild from you? That you've been begging for?!' So I had to say something, because it was getting out of hand," she explained.
While she has managed to control how much of her personal life the real world is privy to, navigating her work-life balance is an ongoing adjustment.
"Last year taught me that the balance needs to be planned in advance for me, because, otherwise, I would just work, work, work, work, work," she said.
While she enjoyed being a part of numerous projects, she said she understands the unsustainable ramifications of burnout and is cautious not to light her candle at both ends.
"I know myself. I know how frustrated and/or tired I can get in some cases, and I'm not doing my best when I'm like that," she said.

Brad Pitt is sporting a new kind of red carpet look. The Once Upon a Time in…Hollywood star, 58, appeared in Berlin at a stop during the promotional tour for his new film Bullet Train wearing a brown linen skirt. He paired the look with a matching brown jacket, black boots and a red top.
The actor’s look was posted by GQ’s Instagram account, where the style got plenty of love from commenters. One wrote, “Brad Pitt in a skirt was exactly what I needed on this Tuesday evening.” Another added, “A master class in how to remain on top of the game.”
Pitt, who stars in the upcoming movie with Sandra Bullock, Joey King and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, has spoken about his fashion sense before. In a 2021 interview with Esquire, the star called his preferred sense of dressing “no-style style.”

KFC Testing Nuggets To Entice Younger Generation Of Chicken Eaters
KFC wants the youth to patronize their restaurants by introducing chicken nuggets aimed at a younger crowd.
The fast food chain unveiled Kentucky Fried Chicken Nuggets for a limited time. The white meat boneless snack is only being tested in locations in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the moment. Depending on the success, the tasty chunks could expand nationwide.
KFC incorporates its 11 signature herbs and spices, ensuring the nuggets have that same great taste as their famous bone-in chicken. As younger foodies move away from the dine-in experience, KFC hopes that the nuggets will satisfy on-the-go snacking.
“We’re targeting younger customers, like Gen Z and Millennials, who are interested in boneless chicken options,” stated a KFC spokesperson. Gen Z is the age group of 18 to 24. According to Robert Byrne, director of consumer and industry insights at the restaurant consulting firm Technomic, the earlier the restaurant engages with consumers, the better the chances of establishing loyalty.
This is not the first time that the brand has experimented with nuggets. Earlier this year, as many restaurants tried their hand at healthier alternatives to their menus, KFC introduced plant-based fried chicken nuggets. They also carry popcorn chicken, which are boneless chicken pieces that tend to be smaller than traditional nuggets, favoring popcorn.
Netflix Planning to Charge Users an Extra Fee for Password Sharing, Will Block Usage in Other Homes If You Don’t Pay Up
Netflix is trying to find a way to block its users from sharing passwords by offering users the ability to buy added households.
According to reports, Netflix users haven’t just been sharing passwords with family members who live a few miles away. Some users are sharing their account information with loved ones in foreign countries, including the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Argentina and more.
To combat that, Netflix is offering up the option to purchase homes. Suppose Netflix sees that a user has been on their Netflix account in a different location repeatedly for more than a week. In that case, the user will be prompted to “buy” an additional household. The cost would be an additional $1.17 per month. In other regions, there may be an added price of $2.99.
Now, if you choose to ignore the options or not choose one, Netflix will block that newer location from being able to watch. The streaming platform will reportedly be able to figure out a user’s primary household through their devices and IP addresses.
There’s no word on when the new account share policy will begin for U.S. users, but the new program will impact Netflix users in Honduras on August 22.
Toys “R” Us To Be Available in Every Macy’s Location in the US During the Holiday Season
A classic toy superstore is being revived just in time for the holiday shopping season.
On Monday, Macy’s and Toys “R” Us parent company WHP Global announced that The Toys “R” Us brand would be available in every Macy’s location in the United States.
According to a press release, the rollout of the new pop-up stores will start in late July, and all locations should be finished by October 15. In-store shops will range in size, but in major cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Honolulu, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and San Francisco, they might be up to 10,000 square feet.
In 2018, Toys “R” Us closed its U.S. locations after declaring Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2016. The competition from online merchants like Amazon caused the brick-and-mortar toy superstore to fall apart.
In February 2019, Richard Barry, the CEO of Tru Kids Brands and a former executive at Toys R Us, said that his company planned to explore opening new standalone stores, shops inside existing stores, and expanding e-commerce.
Macy’s has been offering Toys “R” Us products exclusively online since last summer. Since then, toy sales have been 15 times higher after the retailer’s partnership with Toys “R” Us, according to Macy’s first quarter 2022 earnings report.
“Macy’s cannot wait to bring the Toys ‘R’ Us experience to life in our stores,” said Nata Dvir, Macy’s chief merchandising officer. “The customer response to our partnership with Toys ‘R’ Us has been incredible, and our toy business has seen tremendous growth.”
