#RHOA #TWIRL: Kenya Moore Says She Hasn't Filed for Divorce From Marc Daly!

Kenya Moore giving her estranged husband, Marc Daly, a chance to prove himself. The pair separated in 2019 but all hope is not lost for the couple, who share 2-year-old daughter Brooklyn.

"I have not filed for divorce," the 49-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta star told a fan on Sunday's Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. "He did file and withdrew it less than 24 hours later, so we've kind of gotten past that."

As for whether the former couple still has a chance, Moore isn't ruling out the possibility.

"Right now Marc is really fighting for his marriage. He wants to go to counseling. He's made appointments," she shared. "He's asking to publicly apologize to me and a lot of things that I never thought I'd see the day."

In a recent intervew the Bravo star about her relationship status and she got candid about where she and Daly stood.

"We're still separated, and I have gone through the gamut of emotions from being happy, and happy to move on and to see what my life is going to be like in the next chapter, and then I go from that to being kind of sad," she told ET. "Looking at Brooklyn, looking and gazing into her father's eyes and seeing the love and knowing what an amazing family we had -- and could we still have it. So, for me, the best way to describe it is that I feel turmoil a lot through the season, because I'm being pulled in different directions and just until recently things really shifted, as you saw from the birthday party."

No matter what Moore ultimately decides, Moore noted that she doesn't intend to be submissive to her future partner.

"I am in a very different place in my life," she vowed. "I will not bow down to a man. I will not beg for love and attention and those things kind of come from, as I've learned through the season and we reveal, things that happened to me when I was a child, in my childhood and what I needed and what I didn't get and how that manifests itself in my relationships. So, it's a really interesting journey if you follow along."

#NewMusicVideo from Joss Stone "Walk With Me"!

Platinum-selling and Grammy-winning UK soul singer/songwriter Joss Stone releases an empowering new gospel-tinged anthem "Walk With Me" on December 11 via S-Curve Records/BMG. The song speaks to a different kind of love, one of love for thy neighbors, even complete strangers and anyone seeking togetherness at this time of uncertainty and ignites just in time to warm the souls and unite festive folks this holiday season after a tumultuous and divisive year.

"The song started out as a romantic song asking someone to walk through life with you, kind of like a wedding song if you will," says Stone. "When we got to working on it so much had happened that I couldn't take my mind off. With the pandemic and what happened with George Floyd that unfortunately sparked so much violence it got me thinking that the problem is mostly with the us and them attitude. That is the biggest killer - separation and judgement. Everyone needs to come together in order to survive this life in peace. Without togetherness nothing is OK".

Co-written and co-produced by Jonathan Shorten who has worked with Stone since 2004's platinum-selling Mind Body & Soul album, "Walk With Me" embraces the voices of Legato Vocal Ensemble in a heart-warming round of harmony and consolation.

Originally penned as a love song, Stone did a rewrite in light of recent events over the year.

WATCH VIDEO HERE

"So I rewrote the song and I hope people take it in the way it was intended," says Stone. "When I speak of the 'heroes', I am speaking of the brave doctors and nurses that have given so much of their lives to help others have one. And when I speak of 'our brothers and sisters that cannot breathe', it is a reference to George Floyd and the many others who have suffered injustice and suffocation in any way, be that physical or emotional. When I say 'so take a hand', I mean any hand, love everyone, we are in this life together. The only way things will get better is if we throw the divides and lines away and love each other regardless of colour or job or health. The fix is not to make those lines thicker. Let's walk together. Through it all".

#HipHopNews: Offset Doesn’t Trust Coronavirus Vaccine, Won’t Take It!

President Trump announced via Twitter over the weekend that the vaccine for the coronavirus is on its way to the United States, but some rappers aren't feeling the latest preventive measure for the virus. Offset is one of those artists.

TMZ caught up with ’Set in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Saturday (Dec. 12) and asked the Atlanta native if he plans on taking the vaccine.

"I don't trust it, though," the Migos member told the reporter. "You ain't see the little app? The little thing online where the people face turning to the side? Yeah, I just don't wanna be the test dummy."

Offset also said that former President Barack Obama volunteering to take the coronavirus vaccine on camera won't sway him either.

"Nah," Offset replied. "’Cause you know, in reality, we blessed. Certain people in certain opportunities get certain things."

The Migos rapper went on to reference former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani saying that his "celebrity status" helped him to get special treatment for his COVID-19 diagnosis.

"If I go to the hospital here, they're gonna admit me fast, they're gonna get me faster than the normal person, which ain't really fair. So, me seeing [Obama] do that wouldn't make me feel like I still wanna do it myself," Offset explained.

Offset added that he wouldn't want preferential treatment with the vaccine either because a lot of people, especially within the Black community, are dying from the coronavirus.

The image ’Set mentioned earlier in the conversation about the individuals with their mouths slightly distorted is likely from a Twitter post, which shows three people who supposedly took the Pfizer vaccine. The volunteers who reportedly took the vaccine developed facial paralysis, according to the tweet. However, there is no confirmed truth to this information.

As of Sunday (Dec. 13), NPR reports that more than 16 million U.S. citizens have tested positive for the coronavirus. Additionally, over 290,000 people have died from the illness. Currently, the highest-risk states include Rhode Island, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana and North Dakota.

‘Empire’ Spinoff Starring Taraji P. Henson Will Not Be Going Forward At Fox!

Fox has opted not to proceed with a spinoff of its signature drama series Empire that centered on the larger-than-life character of Cookie Lyon, played by Golden Globe winner Taraji P. Henson. Disney TV Studios’ 20th Television, which produces the project with Imagine TV, is currently shopping it to Disney outlets ABC and Hulu, I hear.

The mothership series, created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, ran on Fox for six seasons. A spinoff of such a successful series comes with a high price tag, which is hard for a broadcast network to cover, especially when it is not affiliated with the studio as is the case with Fox and 20th TV, which became separated by the Disney-Fox acquisition toward the end of Empire‘s run. (Fox Entertainment has no ownership in the spinoff, written/exec produced by Strong, Stacy A. Littlejohn and Yolonda Lawrence, with Empire vet Sanaa Hamri set to direct.)

While Fox brass felt this was not the right show for the network at this time, they are committed to staying in business with the creative collaborators of Empire and the proposed spinoff. The network recently opened a writers room for drama Our Kind of People, from Lee, Karen Gist and 20th TV, with an eye to a series order that appears likely.

20th TV and Imagine TV are currently exploring a potential new home for the Empire spinoff within the Disney TV universe, with ABC and Hulu as primary targets. Strong and Henson are both under deals at 20th TV and both have other projects in various stages of development. Strong is working on series Dopesick for Hulu, starring Michael Keaton and directed by Barry Levinson, which started shooting in Virginia last week. Henson also has a TV series in the works. Outside of her 20th TV deal, she will make her feature directorial debut and star in Two-Faced.

IT’S OFFICIAL Joe Biden is PRESIDENT ELECT! Electoral College finally Certifies Election!

President-elect Joe Biden pointedly criticized President Donald Trump on Monday for threatening core principles of democracy even as he told Americans that their form of self-government ultimately “prevailed.”

Speaking from his longtime home of Wilmington, Delaware, on the day that electors nationwide cast votes affirming his victory, Biden was blunt in critiquing the damage done by Trump’s baseless allegations that the contest was stolen. Such arguments have been roundly rejected by judges across the political spectrum, including the justices at the Supreme Court.

Democracy, Biden said, has been “pushed, tested, threatened.” But he said it proved to be “resilient, true, and strong.”

“The flame of democracy was lit in this nation a long time ago,” Biden said. “And we now know that nothing, not even a pandemic or an abuse of power, can extinguish that flame.”

Biden and his team hope that the formal victory in the Electoral College combined with his record-setting 81 million-vote count will help the country unify and accept his presidency. But the challenge facing Biden was evident as many congressional Republicans, including some of the party’s top leaders, refused to officially accept Biden’s win. Trump, meanwhile, shows no sign of conceding.

The president-elect acknowledged an irony in the circumstances, noting that he won with the same number of electoral votes — 306 — as Trump did four years ago. Trump hailed that win as a “landslide.”

“By his own standards, these numbers represent a clear victory then, and I respectfully suggest they do so now,” Biden said.

A candidate needs to win 270 electoral votes to clinch the presidency.

The fact that Biden had to even give such a speech shortly after electors voted to make him the president — a usually routine and even mundane step — shows how extraordinary the post-election period has been, with Trump trying to thwart Biden at every turn.

Despite that, Biden struck a familiar theme of his presidential campaign, pledging to be “a president for all Americans” who will “work just as hard for those of you who didn’t vote for me as I will for those who did.”

“Now it is time to turn the page as we’ve done throughout our history,” he said. “To unite. To heal.”

He said that was the only way the country could overcome the worst health crisis in more than a century, saying that in the face of the pandemic, “we need to work together, give each other a chance and lower the temperature.”

Whether his message will have any effect remains to be seen. Top Republicans have mostly continued to back Trump and his unsubstantiated claims of a rigged election and, even once Biden takes power, are unlikely to give him any of the traditional honeymoon period.

Biden recalled that one of his jobs as vice president four years ago was to formally recognize Trump’s electoral victory in the Senate after 2016, and he said he expected the same process to occur this time — saluting the small number of GOP senators who have acknowledged his victory. But there are many other leading Republicans who have continued to side with Trump.

And after losing dozens of legal challenges on the state and federal level, Trump is expected to push forward with new litigation this week. Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani says he expects five more lawsuits at the state level.

Even after he takes the White House, Biden faces a narrowly divided Senate. Next month’s runoff elections in Georgia will decide which party controls the chamber. There’s also a thinned Democratic majority in the House as the GOP picked up seats even as Trump lost.

Meanwhile, Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin is set to hold a hearing Wednesday on election “irregularities.” Johnson has questioned why Congress wasn’t informed that the taxes of Biden’s son Hunter were under federal investigation during Trump’s impeachment trial last year.

The president was acquitted in a Senate trial that centered on Trump’s dealings with Ukraine’s president and on whether he abused his office by seeking an investigation into the Bidens. Hunter Biden served on the board of directors of a Ukrainian energy company.

The younger Biden said in a statement last week that he just recently learned that he was under investigation. He also said he committed no wrongdoing.

Biden’s deputy chief of staff, Jen O’Malley Dillon, downplayed the notion that the investigation could hamper Biden’s ability to pursue his agenda.

“The president-elect himself has said this is not about his family or Donald Trump’s family,” O’Malley Dillon said. “It is about the American people’s families. And I think we’re going to continue to stay focused on the issues that are impacting their daily lives.”

Will you be tuning in for her TV debut?”

Alongside her Instagram post, Kandi Burruss-Tucker wrote, “I sense a big a movie coming?,” and Porsha Williams also seemed to get the memo as she commented, “Come on actress. I can’t wait for whatever it is.”

Hilson’s “pregnancy” announcement comes after Summer Walker, Cassie, Victoria MonΓ©t and Christina Milian announced that they’re expecting. The “Energy” star has not provided any clarification for her followers, but according to IMDB, production for her upcoming film called Don’t Waste Your Pretty wrapped up in August and will premiere in 2021.

Did You Know That Netflix's 'The Prom' musical was inspired by Mike Pence?

Ryan Murphy's highly anticipated latest directorial project premiered Friday on Netflix and in select theaters. Based on the 2018 musical of the same name, "The Prom" tells the heart-wrenching story of a 17-year-old teenager who is prohibited from bringing her girlfriend to her high school prom. Why? Because they're both girls.

Starring Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Andrew Rannells, Kerry Washington and Keegan-Michael Key, the musical is set in small-town Indiana. With a fictional plot that easily could have been lifted from real life, it may make some audience members ask: What was "The Prom" inspired by?

Is 'The Prom' based on a true story?

The answer is: Sort of. Chad Beguelin, the musical’s co-writer and lyricist, told NBC News back in 2018 the idea was inspired by producer Jack Viertel, who kept encountering similar stories in news headlines.

“He had seen several instances where, you know, same-sex couples were banned from their prom,” Beguelin said. “The depressing thing is, they keep sort of happening … Every once in a while a few months will go by, and then someone will email us another, you know, high school that decided that no gays or lesbians can come to the prom. You know, it's sad that it still happens.”

For instance in 2017, a Catholic high school in Connecticut barred one student from bringing another girl who was more than just a friend to her prom. A year prior to that, two boys in Louisiana were told at first they couldn't go to prom together because according to the school's regulations, "they didn't allow same sex to go to prom together."

Why is 'The Prom' set in Indiana?

While the plot of "The Prom" wasn't inspired by one specific real-life event, the location was purposefully selected for a very specific reason: Indiana is where Vice President Mike Pence is from.

In 2018, Beguelin extended a personal invitation to Pence, who has a well-documented record of anti-LGBTQ stances, to come see the musical on Broadway for himself. Beguelin said, “I think you really need to come and see ‘The Prom,’ and also, we set it in Indiana because of you.”

“Our show isn't about ostracizing people,” Beguelin explained at the time. “Our show is not about telling people, ‘You are wrong.’ Again, it's about listening and empathy and accepting, and so my invite (to Pence) would just be like, ‘Listen to our show. It's about love.’”

“We get so many people that after the show come up to us and say, ‘You changed my point of view,’” Beguelin said. “There are some people that are like, ‘I was that homophobic parent, and I didn't know what the show is about, and now I've really got to sort of reexamine my point of view.'"

Today, Murphy hopes that people from all walks of life appreciate this new film and its message of acceptance, especially during these troubling times.

"#THEPROM is for anyone who ever felt like an outsider, and for anyone who just wants to be their authentic self - which I think is a universal conceit," he wrote on Instagram, adding, "My greatest Christmas wish is that this movie brings a sense of hope and community to anyone who needs it in these troubling times.”

Jeff Bridges Reveals Shaved Head, Says He’s ‘Feeling Good’ Battling Cancer!

Jeff Bridges revealed a newly shaved head and a new friend in his latest update.

“Here’s the latest,” the Dude himself wrote on Twitter Monday. “Feeling good. Shaved my head. Got a puppy — Monty. Had a Birthday — 71, man.”

Bridges accompanied the update with a picture of himself displaying his newly bald pate, lounging in a chair with the adorable dog on his lap.

Bridges revealed in October that he had been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Later in the month, he said, “This cancer thing is bringing on feelings of preciousness, and gratitude, and good old fashion love, and lots of it, big time.”

The actor, who revealed on a long-lost tape unearthed in December that he and had his mother both nearly died during his birth, said in October that, “I’m realizing if I have s—t to share, now’s the time.”

Bridges expanded on his tweet on his personal website Monday.

“Well … here’s the next batch of what I want to point out. Music — we need it, man & all our musicians are having a hell of a time making a living these days w/ the COVID deal,” he wrote, making sure to mention his “dear old friend” John Goodwin.

Alongside a link to No Kid Hungry, Bridges added, “The health of our children can serve as a compass, letting us know if we’re on course or not — we’re off course.”

And in a truly Lebowski-esque finish, Bridges featured a video of several surfers, calling it “such a great reminder [of] how wonderful life can be.”

Charley Pride's Funeral and Memorial Plans Revealed!

A few days after the tragic passing of country music trailblazer, Charley Pride, his family has announced the plans for his funeral and memorial. A pioneer in the industry, Pride was the first Black country star to pave the way for future generations. He passed away at the age of 86 over the weekend after complications from COVID-19.

His family and close friends will hold a private wake and memorial in Dallas this week. A public celebration of his life and accomplishments will follow at a later time. The family is asking fans of his that want to donate flowers, to instead donate to The Pride Scholarship at Jesuit College Preparatory School, St. Phillips School and Community center or any other local charity or food bank. His legacy will also be honored this Wednesday when CMT airs a special CMT Remembers Charley Pride that will showcase his career and all of the achievements and milestones he set throughout his time as a musician.

Pride, whose first studio album came out in 1966 and would mark the first of his eventual 41 albums, broke down color barriers to become the first Blacks country music superstar and the first Black member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. In 1971, he was named the CMA’s Entertainer of the Year, eventually earning a Lifetime Achievement award at this November’s ceremony. While there, he also performed for what turned out to be his final time on stage alongside Jimmie Allen. In the days since his passing, many of the industries’ biggest stars, including the likes of Allen, Darius Rucker and Mickey Guyton, have shared the impact he had on their careers. In his memoir, Pride wrote that “we’re not color blind yet” when it comes to the industry and society as a whole, but he believes “we’re advanced a few paces along the path.”

To sum up his impact, Allen said that the loss of the “legend” feels as though “Superman died” in his case. Seeing Pride’s music as a younger kid growing up in Delaware, Allen said it showed him that anything is possible, “That really showed me that it doesn’t matter what people might think you can’t do because of the color of your skin.” Similarly, Rucker noted the impact he had on the music world, calling Pride not just an icon or legend, but someone that “destroyed barriers and did things that one ever had done.”

#RIP: Ann Reinking, Broadway Legend and 'Annie' Star, Dead at 71!

Ann Reinking, a legendary Broadway performer known for her appearances in productions such as Chicago and A Chorus Line, has died. She was 71. According to Variety, Reinking's sister-in-law, Dahrla King, confirmed the news of her passing. Reinking, who also appeared in the films Annie and All That Jazz, reportedly died in Washington while visiting her brother and his family.

“The world and our family have lost a vibrant, amazing talent and beautiful soul. Ann was the heart of our family and the life of the party,” the late performer's family said in a statement. “She was visiting our brother in Washington state when she went to sleep and never woke up. We will miss her more than we can say. Heaven has the best choreographer available now. I’m sure they are dancing up a storm up there! Annie, we will love and miss you always!!!” The news regarding Reinking's death was first announced on Facebook on Monday by Christopher Dean, who teaches Reinking's niece.

"The lights on Broadway are forever more dim this morning and there is one less star in the sky," Dean wrote alongside a slew of photos of Reinking during happier times. "The good news is that heaven has the very best choreographer on earth now. Thank you Ann for having the most profound impact on my career. We are even more blessed by the entire Reinking family who have welcomed us in and been a huge part of our lives this past year. The world will miss Ann so much!! The angels are all singing 'We got Annie!!'"

Reinking got her start in the industry by performing in productions of Bye Bye Birdie and Cabaret. But, she may be most well known for portraying Roxie Hart in 1977's Chicago, a role which she took over from Gwen Verdon. The Broadway star even earned a Tony Award for Best Choreography for her work on Chicago. She reprised the same part once again in 1996 when there was a revival of the production. At the time of Chicago's revival, Reinking told the New York Times, “The hope is that in rediscovering Chicago, audiences will rediscover what theater was. It was sophisticated, complicated, adult.”

In addition to performing, Reinking was also a dancer, actor, and choreographer. Over the years, she worked on several other Broadway productions including Sweet Charity, Over Here! and Goodtime Charley. Reinking's final turn on Broadway came in 2001 when she served as a replacement ensemble member on Fosse, a production that she co-created, co-directed, and co-choreographed. The late Broadway legend is survived by her husband, Peter Talbert, and her son, Chris.

Dr. Jill Biden Responds to “Sexist” Wall Street Journal Opinion Piece!

In a coded rebuttal against a “sexist” Wall Street Journal opinion piece that belittled her qualifications, Dr. Jill Biden has said that women’s achievements should be celebrated “rather than diminished.”

Early this morning, the incoming first lady wrote in a tweet, “Together, we will build a world where the accomplishments of our daughters will be celebrated, rather than diminished.”

Her comments came days after Joseph Epstein wrote an article for the WSJ in which he offered Dr. Biden “a bit of advice.”

Mr. Epstein, 83, referred to the educator as “kiddo” before going on to suggest that she should drop the “Dr” in front of her name because she does not have a medical background.

He wrote, “Any chance you might drop the ‘Dr.’ before your name?”  He added, “‘Dr. Jill Biden’ sounds and feels fraudulent, not to say a touch comic.”

“A wise man once said that no one should call himself ‘Dr.’ unless he has delivered a child.”

Dr. Biden, the wife of the president-elect Joe Biden, has a bachelor’s and two master’s degrees, and in 2007 she earned her doctorate from the University of Delaware.

In the piece published on Friday, Mr. Epstein went on to criticize Biden’s qualifications, “Between the honorary degrees given to billionaires, the falsely intelligent, entertainers and the politically correct, just about all honour has been drained from honorary doctorates.”

Communications director, Elizabeth Alexander, described the piece as “sexist and shameful.”

Michael LaRosa, Dr. Biden’s transition team spokesman, said the WSJ “should be embarrassed to print the disgusting and sexist attack.”

The opinion piece was also criticized by Northwestern University, where Mr. Epstein was once listed as an emeritus lecturer of English. His page on the university website appears to have been removed.

In a statement, the university said that it is “firmly committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and strongly disagrees with Epstein’s misogynistic views.”

On Sunday, the WSJ’s opinion page editor defended the article, saying criticism of it was “overwrought” while accusing Dr. Biden’s team of politicizing what is a “relatively minor issue.”

Meghan Markle Honors COVID-19 Heroes In Surprise Appearance On CNN!

Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance on the annual “CNN Heroes” TV special Sunday to pay homage to the people who’ve made a difference in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The Duchess of Sussex thanked the “individuals (who) stood up and made sure the most basic needs of our communities were met” in the past year, which she described as being “universally challenging for everyone.”

The 39-year-old added: “They made sure those around them did not have to suffer in isolation.”

Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, announced earlier this year that they were abandoning their roles as “senior” royals and relocated to California while the deadly bug was spreading across the globe.

The couple has been volunteering with several charities in the Los Angeles area. In April, they delivered meals to city residents through Project Angel Food, a program to feed the chronically ill, CNN reported.

They recently distributed supplies to needy students with Baby2Baby, and the Duke of Sussex was spotted volunteering with the Walker Family Events Foundation, which supports veterans and their families, according to the network.

“In the face of this devastating reality, we … saw the power of the human spirit and the remarkable ways that communities respond in challenging times,” the Duchess said on CNN.

“We saw the good in people, in our neighbors and in entire communities coming together to say they would not stand by while our neighbors went hungry,” she continued.

“We saw communities standing up and taking action. When kids’ lunch programs came to a halt, we saw our neighbors make sure that those children received the nutrition they need. And when those who are immunocompromised or most vulnerable couldn’t leave their homes, we as a community showed up to deliver the food they needed to their doorsteps,” Markle said.

“We know the value of food — as nourishment, as a life source — and in moments of crisis, the warmth of a meal can feel as comforting as a much-needed hug, especially in the absence of human contact due to the social distancing we’re all experiencing. These moments reminded so many that they’re cared for,” she added.

University Of Florida’s Keyontae Johnson In Critical But Stable Condition After Collapse; ‘Following Simple Commands’!

University of Florida basketball player Keyontae Johnson is still in critical but stable condition, but he is “following simple commands.”

Johnson fell face-first as he was headed back onto the court after a first-half timeout during Florida’s game against Florida State on Saturday, ESPN reports. The player immediately received medical attention and was taken to Tallahassee Memorial. Johnson’s collapse has not been linked to any underlying issue, however, it was reported that the baller tested positive for Covid-19 during the summer.

On Monday, the school issued a statement, saying that Johnson is in critical but stable condition and is “following simple commands.” After his two-day stay at  Tallahassee Memorial, he was transferred to UF Health in Gainesville, Florida.

Johnson’s grandfather, Larry DeJarnett told USA Today that Johnson was medically induced coma and that doctors are hoping to bring him out of it that afternoon. Florida team spokesperson Denver Parler said that that team did not practice on Monday, but the workout facility was open to those who wanted to lift weights or exercise. The team is set to go up against North Florida on Wednesday in Gainesville, but Parler says he’s not sure how the team will move forward. “Not sure what tomorrow or Wednesday will bring,” Parler told ESPN.

Despite Johnson not having Covid-19 at the time, coronavirus can lead to myocarditis, a viral infection that can lead to inflammation of the heart muscle, the outlet reports.
