#RHOA: Kenya Moore Calls NeNe Leakes a 'Vile Person' After Claims About Her Marriage and Daughter!
Kenya Moore is setting the record straight. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 49, clapped back at castmate NeNe Leakes, who claimed that Moore is not legally married to husband Marc Daly and that she did not use her own eggs to conceive their 1-year-old daughter Brooklyn Doris.

“Yes, I’m legally married. I have my marriage certificate. I have witnesses,” she told ExtraTV. “She’s basically calling pretty much everyone in Turks and Caicos a lie, my family a lie … I just think that she crosses lines. She’s a vile person, and kids are off-limits.”
During Sunday’s season finale, Leakes, 52, said Moore had a “handshake” agreement with Daly and “paid” to have a baby with him. She also alleged that Brooklyn is not biologically related to Moore.
“It was Marc’s sperm and some eggs that they bought or found out of the country somewhere,” Leakes said. “That’s why the baby looks so much like him.”

Moore has long denied the allegations,“rumors like this are completely baseless and I won’t be spending any energy addressing them further.”
And speaking to ExtraTV, Moore said she wasn’t surprised to be the target of Leakes’ attacks.
“I just think when people make comments like that it is to try to hurt them where they are most vulnerable,” she said. “It is who she is. … She is who she is. She’s never going to change.”

never supported me during my pregnancy and even now that my beautiful baby is here … making these accusations and targeting my family.”
Moore also gave an update on her relationship with Daly, saying the two are continuing to work on their marriage nearly seven months after announcing their split. But whether they make it the distance or not, the reality star isn’t worried about her future.

“I don’t know what the chances are, only God knows that,” she said. “If it works, I’d be super happy because that is Brooklyn’s dad and if it doesn’t, I think we’ll all be okay.”

#Empire: Sort-Of Series Finale Ends on a Happy Note for the Lyons!
Empire has come to an end. Sort of. Maybe. But also maybe not.
The Fox drama was in the middle of shooting its second to last episode ever when production had to shut down due to the pandemic, meaning tonight's episode currently serves as the series finale, but it might not serve as the series finale forever, depending on what happens when production can resume.
As showrunner Brett Mahoney told TVLine, there's a lot to consider, including whether the sets and the cast are still available.

So for now, we've got tonight's episode, a sort of mishmash of what was supposed to be the second to last and third to last episode that featured two deaths, a breakup, a music festival, and a movie premiere, as well as a ton of Lyon family flashbacks as Cookie and Lucious found their way back to each other, after getting their company back.
The breakup belonged to Lucious and Yana, who were already pretending their relationship was nothing more than professional for her father's benefit, but she soon realized that Lucious still loved Cookie, and then got on stage at Cookie's music festival to sing a song that Lucious wrote about Cookie.

Yana and Lucious then celebrated with a hug, which caused Yana's father to lose his mind and shoot them, killing Yana in the process.

Lucious and Yana's dad then had a scuffle, and Lucious killed Damon and only survived himself with help from his prosthetic leg, though Cookie certainly thought he was dead for a second.
The whole family (minus an unmentioned Jamal) then enjoyed the premiere of the movie all about Lucious and Empire, celebrated with one last performance by Hakeem. So we didn't get any sort of closure on the cliffhanger flashforwards from earlier in the season where Cookie's car blew up, but hopefully that's coming if Empire ever gets a real series finale. Let's hope that day comes!

Empire aired on Fox.

#HipHopNews: Young Thug Calls Out French Montana After Saying He Has More Hits Than Kendrick Lamar!
Young Thug had some words for French Montana after French made claims that he’d beat Kendrick Lamar in battle against their hits.

French Montana and Kendrick Lamar are both great artist, and that’s undeniable- but, in a battle between the two, who’d win? French took to his social media to clear about some comments he made about Kendrick. During an interview French claims, “I mean honestly you can put somebody like Kendrick Lamar next to me on the same stage, in a festival. I might outshine him, not because I’m a better rapper, I just got more hits. Kendrick Lamar got albums..”
He later wrote via Twitter, “If we just talking anthems !! Me vs Kendrick hit for hit ! I believe I can go neck to neck !!”
Now, French Montana’s comments clearly didn’t sit well with Young Thug becuase he took to his social media to throw mad shade at French. “Stupid a*s said he got more hits than Kedrick Lamar. Fool.” He continued, “Listen bro. Get out of your feelings. I’m only speaking from an artist’s standpoint. You do not have nowhere near more hits than Kendrick Lamar whatsoever. You probably won’t ever have more hits then buddy. So get that out of your head, I don’t know what you’re taking but get that out of your head.”

The two have been going back and fourth

#COVID19 Pres. Trump to Kemp: ‘I disagree strongly’ with some reopening decisions!
President Trump says he told Gov. Brian Kemp he disagreed with some of his decisions to reopen businesses in Georgia.
“I told the governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, that I disagree strongly with his decision to open certain facilities which are in violation of the Phase 1 guidelines for the incredible people of Georgia,” Trump said during a news conference Wednesday.
“At the same time, he must do what he thinks is right,” Trump said. "But, I disagree with him on what he’s doing.”

This was after Kemp announced Monday that gyms, barbershops and nail salons could reopen Friday.
“They can wait a little bit longer, because safety has to pre-dominate,” Trump said. “I told the governor very simply that I disagree with his decision, but he has to do what he thinks is right."
The president was questioned again later on in the news conference about why he disagreed with Kemp and if he would advise small businesses to listen to him or their governor.

Trump went on to say he thought it was “just too soon” to reopen salons and spas.
“They can wait a little bit longer, because safety has to pre-dominate,” Trump said. “I told the governor very simply that I disagree with his decision, but he has to do what he thinks is right."
Trump said he has a lot of respect for Kemp, reminding reporters that he helped get the governor elected.

“As you know, Brian Kemp, governor of Georgia. I worked very hard for his election. He beat their superstar (Stacey Abrams). He beat the superstar of their party. I think you can say I helped a lot. Michelle Obama, Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey -- they all went into campaign for him very, very hard and he lost. He also was way down in a primary and ended up winning a primary after I came out and endorsed him. So, a lot of good things, and there’s a lot of good feeling between myself and Brian Kemp. I like him a lot,” Trump said.Trump said he just disagrees with reopening things so soon.

“When you have spas, beauty parlors, and I love these people -- I know the people from spas and beauty parlors, tattoo parlors, Bikers for Trump -- A lot of tattoos. I love them. I love these people. And barbershops, these are great people. But you know what? Maybe you wait a little longer until you get into Phase 2. So, do I agree with him? No, but I respect him, and I will let him make his decision,” Trump said.

Kemp took to Twitter Wednesday night to respond to the president’s comments.

“I discussed Georgia’s plan to reopen shuttered businesses for limited operations with @POTUS. I appreciate his bold leadership and insight during these difficult times and the framework provided by the White House to safely move states forward,” Kemp said in his series of tweets.
“I am confident that business owners who decide to reopen will adhere to Minimum Basic Operations, which prioritize the health and well-being of employees and customers,” Kemp said.

Whitney Houston Biopic “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” In The Works, Produced By Pat Houston & Clive Davis!
A new project surrounding the late Whitney Houston is in the works. Titled“I Wanna Dance With Somebody”, the biopic will reportedly be written by Anthony McCarten, who will also produce the project.
The film will also be produced by Clive Davis, who discovered Whitney Houston in her teens and her estate. Clive Davis describes the upcoming film as a “no hold barred, musically rich screenplay that finally reveals the whole Whitney”.
In a recent interview, Clive Davis (who is the CEO of Sony Music) said that he was “very disappointed” in the two recent documentaries that came out about Whitney Houston.
“Whitney” came out in 2018, while “Whitney: Can I Be Me” was released in 2017.
Pat Houston, Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law and manager will also be a producer, who will act on behalf of the estate. Pat Houston says,

“The Estate of Whitney Houston is more than elated to be involved with a group of people that are as passionate about Whitney’s life story as we are. Whitney’s legacy deserves only the best that can be given. I stand with the hearts of these partners being the chosen ones to produce a film that’s uplifting and inspiring to all that loved her, giving you a reason to continue to celebrate The Voice that we all fell in love with and will cherish forever!”
There is currently no word on who will play the legendary songstress or who the supporting cast is as the film is still in the development stages.

What are your thoughts on this biopic?

Shirley Knight, Oscar-nominated actress, has died at 83!
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Shirley Knight, the Kansas-born actress who was nominated for two Oscars early in her career and went on to play an astonishing variety of roles in movies, TV and the stage, has died. She was 83.
Knight passed away Wednesday at her daughter's home in San Marcos, Texas, according to her daughter Kaitlin Hopkins.

Knight’s career carried her from Kansas to Hollywood and then to the New York theater and London and back to Hollywood. She was nominated for two Tonys, winning one. In recent years, she had a recurring role as Phyllis Van de Kamp (the mother-in-law of Marcia Cross’ character) in the long-running ABC show “Desperate Housewives,” gaining one of her many Emmy nominations.

Knight’s her first Academy Award nomination for best supporting actress came in just her second screen role, as an Oklahoman in love with a Jewish man in the 1960 film version of William Inges’ play “The Dark at the Top of the Stairs.”
She was nominated for best supporting actress two years later for her role as the woman seduced and abandoned by Paul Newman in the 1962 film “Sweet Bird of Youth,” based on the Tennessee Williams play.
As success beckoned in 1960, she told columnist Hedda Hopper that she was struggling to keep on an even keel and keep bettering herself as an actress.

“So many actors, once they became famous, lose some beautiful inner thing, something they should try hard to keep,” she said. “They begin to think too highly of themselves and success.”
For a time, she lived in New York, where she studied with Lee Strasberg. She turned down an offer to play Ophelia to Richard Burton’s Hamlet, preferring to appear on Broadway in 1964 with Geraldine Page and Kim Stanley in Anton Chekhov's “The Three Sisters,” a play directed by Strasberg.

Her beauty helped bring her roles in such films as “The Group” (1966), based on Mary McCarthy’s novel about the lives of a group of college girls, and “Dutchman” (1967), from Amiri Baraka’s explosive one-act play about a middle-class black man and a sexually provocative white woman. After playing a pregnant woman who runs off with a football player in Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Rain People,” released in 1969, she wearied of the Hollywood routine, terming the studio bosses “blockheads.”
Knight moved to England with her second husband, British playwright John Hopkins, with whom she had a daughter, Sophie. (Her first husband was producer Gene Persoff, father of her older daughter, Kaitlin).

Over the next few years, she raised her daughters and did needlework. But “I decided that acting is what I do best,” she said. The family moved back to the U.S. and she returned to films in “Beyond the Poseidon Adventure.” She also appeared in such films as “Endless Love” (as Brooke Shields’ mother), “As Good as It Gets” (as Helen Hunt’s mother) and “Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood.”
Meanwhile, she thrived on stage and television. She won a Tony award in 1976 as best featured actress in a play for “Kennedy’s Children.” Knight played, in the words of The New York Times review, “a very tart tart with an ambition of gold.”

She was nominated for another Tony in 1997 for best actress in Horton Foote’s “The Young Man From Atlanta.” As the Times put it, “the splendid Ms. Knight, who doesn’t waste a single fluttery gesture, brings an Ibsenesque weight to a woman frozen in the role of petulant, spoiled child bride.”
Knight became active in television starting in the ’80s and was nominated for Emmys eight times from 1981 to 2006. She won a guest actress Emmy in 1988 for playing Mel Harris’ mother in “Thirtysomething,” and then won two Emmys in the same year, 1995: one for a supporting actress role in the TV drama “Indictment: The McMartin Trial,” and a second for a guest actress role as a murder victim in “NYPD Blue.”
Lyons. Her family was musical and she learned to sing, tap dance and play instruments.

She was the first in her family to enter college, winning a scholarship to a church college in Enid, Oklahoma, then moved to Wichita State University. She appeared in 32 plays in two years and did two seasons of summer stock.

She aimed to become an opera singer, then switched to acting when she saw Julie Harris in a touring company of “The Lark.” She traveled west to study acting at the Pasadena Playhouse. Warner Bros. signed her to a contract.

Dixie Chicks Postpone 'Gaslighter' Album Release Indefinitely!
After waiting 14 years for a new album, Dixie Chicks fans will have to wait even longer. The trio announced they have postponed the release of Gaslighter indefinitely.
A statement from the group's reps said that "their highly anticipated fifth studio album, Gaslighter, originally scheduled to drop on May 1, 2020, via Columbia Records, has been postponed. Additional details are forthcoming. Fans should continue to check @DixieChicks social media for additional updates and announcements.”
At this time, no comments directly from the trio-consisting of Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer- have been made. The Dixie Chicks certainly aren't the first to delay an album release due to the coronavirus pandemic. Within country music, Luke Bryan also postponed the release of his Born Here, Live Here, Die Here album to August.

The Dixie Chicks announced their new album in early March along with the release of the title track. "Gaslighter" was written by the Maines, Maguire and Strayer alongside Jack Antonoff while the music video was directed by Seanne Farmer.
As described in a press release, the "Gaslighter" music video shows "the militant strength of women through the centuries and the unbreakable bond they create through any of life's unforeseen circumstances." This is depicted through old footage of women in the military, hard at work at jobs like riveting and more.

Gaslighter, whenever it's finally released, will be the Dixie Chicks' first album since 2006's Taking The Long Way. Stay tuned for further details regarding the official album release date, which has yet to be announced.

Tiffany Haddish Reveals She's Dating Common After Months Of Relationship Rumors!
Tiffany Haddish doesn't sound like she's putting all her money on Common but the duo is dating, on Bumble at least. After months of relationship speculation, the "Girls Trip" comedian went public with their romance by revealing their recent social distancing date, which turned out to be a paid ad with the popular dating site. The 40-year-old actress pretended to get matched with the Grammy-winning rapper and fans watched excitedly as he wined and dined her all from the comfort of their individual homes.

In the video, Tiffany Haddish was seen all dressed up with a gorgeous face full of makeup, including some fire red lips. “You look very beautiful,” Common, 48, told "The Last OG" star on the Bumble date, which each of them posted to their Instagram pages on Wednesday, April 22. “You looking very handsome yourself,” a clearly enchanted Haddish responded before calling Common “so sweet and romantic.” On their virtual date, the rapper turned actor had a giant bouquet of flowers delivered to her, the duo ordered in food, and Haddish joked about underwear being optional.

"I wore the black dress (drawers optional) for my @bumble virtual date with @common this weekend. He sent me flowers, we ordered food, and we talked into the night," she captioned the video. Haddish seemed to double down on their longtime rumored relationship while talking to Hoda Kotb on "Today" this morning. When asked about their dating status, the comedian grew a big ole smile on her face and coyly responded, "Get out my bedroom, Hoda!" before shutting down the conversation. Weeks ago, it was revealed that Haddish and Common were isolating together at home.

Former 'The Chi' Star Jason Mitchell Arrested For Ecstasy, Marijuana & Gun Possession By The Harrison County Sheriff!
Former “The Chi” star Jason Mitchell was arrested by Mississippi police after being found with a lot of ecstasy and marijuana. According to court records obtained by The Blast, the actor was arrested on Wednesday around 2:27pm. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office took him in in on four felony charges including; possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (marijuana), weapon, possession of by felon (Glock19), weapon, possession of by felon (mini draco) and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (ecstasy).

Court records show Mitchell was released at 7:58pm. Further details on the arrest were not yet available. The Shade Room first reported the arrest.
As previously reported, Mitchell has had quite the year after being accused of sexual harassment on the set of “The Chi.” His costar, Tiffany Boone complained to producers about Mitchell making her feel uncomfortable on set.
In a matter of months, Mitchell was dropped from the Showtime show, fired by his talent agent UTA and dropped by his management team.

The actor faced similar accusations on the set of a Netflix film “Desperados.” He was fired after an actress complained about his behavior on set.
Earlier this year, Mitchell was sued over a $60,000 loan. The bank says he defaulted on his payments weeks after losing his job on “The Chi.”
Comerica Bank filed suit against Mitchell and his company Blackunicorn, Inc. The bank loaned the money to the actor in December 2016. He made all payments until June 2019 which was the month he was accused of sexual harassment by Boone.

Comerica Bank says despite numerous demands for payment Mitchell has refused to pay up. The current balance of the loan is $59,268.50 (principal) + $3,149.46 (interest) and $145 (late charges). They say “no part of such balance has been paid.” The case is ongoing.

DC Black Pride has been canceled due to coronavirus!
DC Black Pride has decided to cancel its 2020 celebration, citing the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
The announcement comes as many other Pride celebrations around the country postpone or cancel their festivities — including D.C.’s Capital Pride Parade and Festival — due to the potential of COVID-19 to spread rapidly amid mass gatherings.
“There is no higher priority than the health and wellbeing of Black LGBTQA community,” a statement on DC Black Pride’s website reads. “In light of the continuing global impact and community transmission of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) — and in accordance with public health recommendations — the Center for Black Equity has made the unprecedented decision to cancel DC Black Pride 2020. For the first time in 30 years, we will not gather in D.C. to celebrate our community during Memorial Day Weekend.

“This too shall pass. We will celebrate the 30th DC Black Pride in 2021, bigger and more celebratory than ever,” the message concludes. “Be sure to stay connected with us.”
In an interview, Kenya Hutton, the program director of DC Black Pride, said that the decision was influenced by a number of factors.
“First, our host hotel announced it would be closing its doors until late May or early June. The hotels are just shutting their doors altogether,” Hutton said. “The other thing is the president said on Sunday that they’re extending the federal call for social distancing until April 30. Knowing that our event is a month later, we had to make a decision of: ‘Okay, is it going to be safe for us to gather within 30 days?’ We’re not too sure. I don’t think so.”
The economic fallout from social distancing also influenced the decision.

“Many members of our community aren’t working right now. They’re unemployed, because everybody’s locked in the house,” Hutton added. “So it would be unfair and even selfish of us as an organization to expect folks to come out of this, and a month later, come to DC Black Pride — which in all honesty, is very expensive and can cost a lot of money, between hotels, transportation, et cetera — knowing that this whole country is experiencing financial hardship right now.

“For me, given that my background is in public health, my main instinct was: ‘This is not going to be a safe time for us.’ The president said we’re expecting to see the recovery from this starting June 1. That’s after our Pride,” Hutton said. “And our community is going to take a little longer to ramp up and rev up. We had to make that decision that’s for the betterment of public health, which is to cancel.”
Hutton said that organizers had looked into rescheduling DC Black Pride, but didn’t want to conflict with other Black Pride celebrations, or Pride celebrations from the spring that are being rescheduled for the fall.

“It would be unfair to move it to July 4, for example. That would have been competing against Chicago and L.A. Black Pride,” Hutton said. “If we moved it to sometime in October, we’d conflict with some of the other Prides that were being rescheduled, as well as Baltimore Black Pride. We were looking at going into November and December, so instead of doing that, and then having to turn around and try to do it again in another five months, it made sense to just cancel the gathering and come back for next year.

“Now, canceling doesn’t mean that we’re not going to do anything,” he added. “We’re already looking to hold some virtual events. Once we gain some sense of normalcy, we’ll do some smaller events in person.”
Hutton said that some of those virtual events will include workshops or town halls. He said that DC Black Pride will be sending out a survey to attendees to see what other events they would like to do once it becomes safe to hold mass gatherings once again.

“We’re basically asking them what they would like to see us do,” he said. “I can’t really answer what that is at this time. It’s going to depend on what the community wants. We’re going to do everything we can to make sure the community stays engaged. We also want them to know that we are here fore them, and that the decision to cancel wasn’t made for any other reason but public health.”

AND FINALLY FROM “THE CRAZY PEOPLE SHOPPING AT WALMART” FILES
‘SOCIAL DISTANCING’
Geez Bagel Boss, tone it down a bit. With those stubby arms someone could still get close enough to give you Coronavirus and not get swung on.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND ALL!!!
