#FlyEaglesFly: Eagles coach Doug Pederson, top executive Howie Roseman sign contract extensions through 2022
The Eagles rewarded coach Doug Pederson and top executive Howie Roseman with contract extensions through 2022 on Sunday, keeping the Eagles’ brain trust locked up together for at least five more years.
“We are thrilled to solidify continuity in our organization’s leadership with the extensions of Doug Pederson and Howie Roseman, whose collaborative partnership helped deliver our city its first Super Bowl championship,” Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said in a statement. “Doug and Howie are committed to the success of our franchise by ensuring that we remain competitive, both in the short and long term. That unified vision for the future of our team is what gives us the best chance to win moving forward.”
Pederson, 50, won the Super Bowl in his second year as head coach with the Eagles. The team had previously exercised a fifth-year option in his contract, but the new deal adds two more years to his deal.
Roseman, 43, is in his third year back in charge of personnel after losing his role in football decisions during the 2015 season. He holds the title of executive vice president of football operations, but he has only had final say on personnel decisions since 2016. During that time, he reshaped the Eagles’ roster, acquiring quarterback Carson Wentz and building one of the NFL’s deepest teams.
#RHoA: Kandi Burruss gets SHAMED over Video of Son Singing In Car to Lil Duval’s “Smile B—-,”!
Kandi Burruss just wanted to share a cute video of her son singing along to Lil Duval’s viral song, but what wound up happening was her getting skewered for the way her son was strapped into his car seat.
“My friend @katrinacwillis just sent me this video of @acewellstucker singing @lilduval song. π€£ Even my baby is living his best life! #LivingMyBestLife #SmileB,” Burruss captioned the post of Ace singing the same song his grandmother was vibing to days earlier. The song, called “Smile B—-,” has been making the rounds on social media as of late.
However, the cute moment was swiftly overshadowed when eagle-eyed Instagram users questioned why 2-year-old Ace wasn’t seemingly in his seat properly.
“That’s car seat looks like it’s for infants.. and the chest clip doesn’t go to the belly. That’s why it’s called a chest clip and the strap is twisted God forbid if something happened!”
“Please educate yourself on how to buckle Ace in properly. I’m not trying to be mean but this could save your kid’s life in a car accident.
However, some commenters chimed in to take up for Burruss and young Ace.
“So I take it that everybody who’s talking about the car seat didn’t notice the black straps on the front of him. π€¦πΎ♀️ The seatbelt is just an extra precaution. He is buckled in correctly. SMH.”
“Y’all stressing and guessing and seatbelt patrolling about somebody else’s child? Man, Lord give these people something to do for the rest of 2018! Smh.”
“I love lil’ ace cuteness but why are y’all so concerned about car seats if his very wealthy mother doesn’t? She got this, enjoy the song.”

Demi Lovato Reportedly Agrees to Rehab
Demi Lovato has agreed to go to rehab, TMZ reports.
The pop star is currently in the hospital, recovering from a drug overdose she suffered last week, and subsequent complications. Sources told TMZ that Lovato's family spoke with her about checking into treatment after she started feeling better, and she is consenting. According to one source, she'll be leaving Cedars-Sinai Medical Center "any day now" and will go straight to a live-in rehab facility, though the details of which one have yet to be revealed.
Earlier this week, TMZ reported those close to the "Sober" singer were going to give her an ultimatum: get help or lose some close relationships. At least one person who works for the 25-year-old star said she would quit if Lovato decides not to get help. "She could die if she doesn't, and that's not going to be on my watch that we did nothing," the source said.
Lovato was found unconscious in her bed her Hollywood Hills home following a night of partying on July 24. She would not say what drugs she took, but Narcan was used to save her life, which reverses the effects of opioids.

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ Beats ‘Christopher Robin’ for the Top Spot!
With an estimated $35 million, Mission: Impossible - Fallout finished atop the weekend box office for a second weekend in a row as the film's domestic cume now stands just shy of $125 million after ten days in release. The film's 42.8% second weekend drop is the second best sophomore effort in the franchise behind Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, which isn't quite an apples-to-apples comparison considering it kicked things off with a limited debut over the holiday season in 2011.
Landing in the runner-up position is Disney's Christopher Robin, falling short of expectations, delivering an estimated $25 million from 3,602 locations. While this is an improvement over the $21.5 million debut for 2016's Pete's Dragon, it's not a strong start for the film, though with little competition over the coming weeks and an "A" CinemaScore from opening day audiences it could hope for some decent legs. Overall, the film played to an audience that was 56% female and 50% of the audience was 25 years of age or older, both metrics compare closely to Pete's Dragon, which played to an audience that was 53% female and 47% was 25+.
Lionsgate's The Spy Who Dumped Me delivered an estimated $12.35 million for a third place finish. The performance is just below the studio's expectations. Looking ahead, the film can be compared to Hot Pursuit's Mother's Day debut in 2015. The $35 million production debuted with $13.9 million and finished with a domestic run just shy of $35 million.
#BROADWAY: Julia Roberts Goes to See ‘Pretty Woman’ on Broadway and Hangs With the Cast
Julia Roberts spent her evening watching another woman get in bed with Edward Lewis.
The actress, who famously played the prostitute-turned-trophy wife, sat in the audience of the Broadway musical “Pretty Woman” — arguably the film which launched Roberts’ career into superstar status — and even hung with the cast after the show!
The 50-year-old kept it casual in an orange tee, black blazer and leather pants. Wearing her hair up to keep those gorgeous red locks away from her face, Roberts rocked her signature big smile as she exited the venue on Thursday evening.
Having the original Vivian Ward in the audience must have been tough, but judging from the smiles on these faces, it’s clear everyone enjoyed having Roberts around.

Judge Orders Trump Administration to Fully Restore #DACA Program
A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to fully restore the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that prevents deportation of some undocumented immigrants who were brought to the country as children. In a 25-page decision, Judge John D. Bates of the Federal District Court for the District of Columbia harshly criticized the administration for failing to justify the need to end the Obama-era program.
By ordering a full restoration within 20 days, Bates also says the United States must also start accepting new applications to enter into the program. But his decision could run head-on with one that a federal judge in Texas is expected to issue shortly. In that case, the judge is expected to rule on the side of states that are trying to end DACA as a whole.
Friday’s decision marks the second time Bates has ordered the restoration of the DACA program. He had ruled the same way in April but gave the Department of Homeland Security 90 days to explain why it needed to end it. Bates, however, said that ending the program was “arbitrary and capricious” and said that the explanation for the decision didn’t really justify the need for such drastic action. On Friday evening, the Department of Justice made it clear that it will appeal the ruling.
#POSE Season 2, And the category Is……. 1990’s Ballroom that will Bring a crescendo up to The Madonna 'Vogue' Era!
And The Category is……….Queen Madge and VOGUE!
Season 2 of FX’s acclaimed drama Pose will kick off a full year after the events of Season 1, co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed during the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Friday. “We’re gonna do a one-year time leap,” Murphy said, adding that the sophomore season will begin in 1989 and “end in March of ’90, when Madonna’s ‘Vogue’ was released.”
That song becoming a worldwide hit was a pivotal moment for the LGBT and ball community, Murphy says: It “took something that was unknown in the culture and made it mainstream. And [Season 2] will be about the reaction of our characters to that moment, where their community… is suddenly put on display.” Murphy doesn’t plan on asking the real Madonna to make a cameo as herself, though: “We haven’t tried to do too much of my typical stunt casting, and I don’t think we will… that’s not what the show is about.”
While the Pose writers’ room hasn’t convened for Season 2 yet, co-creator Steven Canals says the time jump is already giving him ideas: “Around that period is when we saw [playwright and activist] Larry Kramer emerge, and ACT UP. Personally, I would love for us to delve deeper into AIDS activism.” Season 2 will also “very much involve Blanca and Pray Tell’s HIV experience,” Murphy adds. “We want to be truthful about it, because it was a very dark, troubling time.”
Pose — which chronicles the ball culture world of 1980s New York City, with gay and transgender “houses” facing off in underground competitions — debuted in June with an eight-episode freshman season. FX handed it a Season 2 renewal last month.

Madden 19: EA Apologizes For Censoring Colin Kaepernick's Name In A Song
EA says it made an "unfortunate mistake" by censoring Kaepernick's name in the PS4, Xbox One, and
It was recently discovered that Madden NFL 19, which is available now for EA and Origin Access subscribers before its public release, removed Colin Kaepernick's name in the YG song "Big Bank" featured on the game's soundtrack. The line is supposed to be "You boys all cap, I'm more Colin Kaepernick." However, his name was scrubbed from the verse sung by Big Sean, leading to a really strange edit that caught the attention of pre-release players.
EA has now explained that it was an "unfortunate mistake." According to EA, some of its developers did not believe they had the rights to Kaepernick's name, so that's why it was censored out of the song. EA indeed does not have the rights to Kaepernick, as he's not signed to any NFL roster, but this doesn't apply to the soundtrack.
"We messed up, and the edit should never have happened," EA Sports said.
Kaepernick's name will be added back with an update due out on August 6. "We meant no disrespect, and we apologise to Colin, to YG and Big Sean, to the NFL, to all their fans, and our players for this mistake."
Kaepernick made international headlines in 2016 when, as the QB for the San Francisco 49ers, he sat during the national anthem. He told NFL media at the time that he did this in protest over the treatment of black people and people of color in the US.
EA Sports initially said Kaepernick's decision to sit would be briefly mentioned by the Madden commentators in Madden NFL 17, but this apparently never happened.
Madden 19 officially launches on August 10
Alex Trebek Names Legal Analyst Laura Coates As Possible New “Jeopardy” Host
Alex Trebek’s contract to host “Jeopardy” is up in 2020, and he’s already thought of a possible replacement, legal analyst Laura Coates.
“I’ve mentioned to our producer not so long ago that the fellow who does play-by-play for the Los Angeles Kings, they should consider him,” Trebek told TMZ. “[Also], there is an attorney Laura Coates, she’s African-American and she appears on some of the cable news shows from time to time.”
Laura Coates Named Possible New Host of "Jeopardy"
Afterwards, Coates took to Twitter and expressed her gratitude for being considered, especially since she’s always been a fan of the show.
“Incredibly honored and humbled @JeopardyAlex Trebek 1) knows who I am, 2) thinks I’d be a great host of my fave game show ever that I grew up watching with my family and still watch with my own kids, who saw him say this and now think I’m a genius,” she wrote.
Coates, who’s a native of St. Paul Minnesota, appears on CNN and also hosts “The Laura Coates Show” on SiriusXM — where she discusses various topics with entertainers, taste-makers, politicians and others.
She’s also a graduate of Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public International Affairs, as well as the University of Minnesota Law School.

Michael Jordan Stands By LeBron James After Donald Trump Insults His Intelligence – Ignores His ‘I Like Mike’ Comment!
Despite being Donald Trump’s favorite, Michael Jordan still stands by fellow NBA star LeBron James following the president’s ‘dumb’ insult. Here’s what the basketball legend had to say!
It all started when LeBron James gave an interview to CNN’s Don Lemon during which he called out Trump for using sports to divide people.
‘We are in a position in America where this race thing has taken over. One, because I believe our president is trying to divide us. He’s kind of used sports to divide us, and that’s something I can’t relate to,’ LeBron told the interviewer.
As expected, Trump did not like that, so he took to his favorite social media platform, Twitter, to insult both Lemon and LeBron’s intelligence.
‘Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!’ he tweeted.
Funnily enough, it doesn’t seem like ‘Mike’ reciprocates your feelings, Mr. President!
In fact, through his publicist, Michael Jordan responded with: ‘I support LJ. He’s doing an amazing job for his community.’
Indeed, LeBron is worthy of praise for his initiative.
The man has opened a public school in his hometown Akron, Ohio, where underprivileged children can attend cost-free.
Not only that but they are also gifted bikes to ride to school and back in addition to receiving FREE college tuition as soon as they graduate!
And the help does not stop at the kids!
The I Promise School provides job assistance for their struggling parents as well!
Doesn’t it sound like Donald Trump should have applauded LeBron’s efforts instead of calling him dumb? Come on, Donald! Not cool!
AND FINALLY FROM THE CRAZY PEOPLE SHOPPING AT WALMART FILES
‘STAND FOR THE FLAG’
Just a reminder the NFL is back in action tonight, and with it comes 7 more months of a bunch of irrational opinions about the national anthem. Can’t wait.
