Kandi Burruss' son Ace Wells Tucker is about to get a new friend. The Real Housewives of Atlanta mogul is already setting up playdates for her son and the future child of one of her famous friends.
Kandi's good friend Toya Wright came to visit the RHoA singer during the New Orleans stop of her reunion tour with Xscape on Thursday. It was her last week to travel before she welcomes her second child.
Toya proudly showed off her baby bump in photos with Kandi, who couldn't be more excited for her pal. "I can’t wait until this little bundle of joy gets here!" Kandi gushed on Instagram. "@toyawright we have play dates in our future!"
Toya officially announced her pregnancy on September 28 in a video on Instagram. She shared that she will be giving birth to a girl with a banner that read "Issa Girl" attached to a plane that flew over an elaborate gender reveal party in October. Kandi attended the fête with her husband Todd Tucker, along with fellow famous friends Monica and Tameka "Tiny" Harris.

Empire star Terrence Howard, Wesley Snipes (Blade), Eiza González (Baby Driver), rapper and actor Tip “T.I.” Harris (Ant-Man), Demetrius Shipp Jr. (All Eyez on Me) and Shameik Moore (Netflix’s The Get Down) have all been tapped to star in post-Katrina heist drama, Cut Throat City, with Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA at the helm. The pic, currently filming in New Orleans, is produced by Elliott Michael Smith of Rumble Riot Pictures, Michael Mendelsohn of Patriot Pictures, William Clevinger, Kyle Tekiela, Sean Lydiard, Film Wealth, and RZA.
P.G. Cuscheri wrote the script which centers on four boyhood friends who return to New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward after Hurricane Katrina, to find their home decimated and prospects for work swept away. Turning to a local gangster for employment, the crew is hired to pull off a daring casino heist, right in the heart of the city.
Rounding out the cast are Joel David Moore (Avatar), Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries), Rob Morgan (Mudbound), Keean Johnson (Alita: Battle Angel), Denzel Whitaker (The Great Debaters) and Isaiah Washington (The 100).
The film was fully financed by Mendelsohn’s Union Patriot Capital Management. Jim Steele, Natalie Perrotta, and XYZ Films are executive producers, Jarod Einsohn is co-producing. XYZ is also repping international sales. RZA will also oversee the soundtrack and score for the film.
#MUSICNEWS: Justin Timberlake Teases New Music With A Mysterious ‘Motw’ Logo!
The speculation looks to be coming true. Justin Timberlake might have new music dropping at the top of 2018.
The international superstar has posted a mysterious logo on his official website, which appears to coincide with a trademark that he supposedly applied for earlier this month.
TMZ previously reported that Timberlake was trying to trademark the phrase “Man of the Woods,” leading to speculation that it could be the name of his new album. Now, a logo featuring the letters “MOTW” has popped up on his website without explanation.
At the time of the initial report, Timberlake was also trying to trademark “Fresh Leaves,” which could be the name of a single from the project, though that remains unclear.
On Dec. 21, Mary-Jo Morin, an assistant music director at Montreal radio station 92.5 The Beat, revealed that Timberlake’s first single would arrive on Jan. 5. The tweet and Morin’s account have since been deleted, but many believe that Timberlake will in fact release new material at the top of 2018.
In 2016, JT first sparked new album rumors sharing a studio reunion with Pharrell Williams, and two months after that he confirmed the album. Later that year, he told Variety that his new album will “just punch you between the eyes.”
In addition to Pharrell, Max Martin and others, Justin has been consistently working with Timbaland, who executive produced 2013’s The 20/20 Experience. “The music we just made? It’s gonna put him on another plateau,” the super producer recently told Rolling Stone.
The new album could arrive in time for his upcoming halftime performance at Super Bowl LII, which is scheduled to take place Feb. 4 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Travis Scott and Quavo capped off 2017 with the release of their highly-anticipated joint album Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, which debuts at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
Coming in behind Taylor Swift’s Reputation (No. 1) and Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (No. 2), the hyped-about Huncho Jack release sold 90,000 units in its first week. Much of the project’s success is due to streaming, with 17,000 traditional and 70,000 streaming equivalent album units.
Scott has reached the top 10 twice before as a solo artist, including 2016’s Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, which debuted at No. 1, and 2015’s Rodeo, which peaked at No. 3. Quavo hasn’t released a solo project yet, but topped the charts with Migos’ Culture last year.
Elsewhere, Eminem’s Revival falls 1-4 (84,000), Sam Smith’s The Thrill of It All holds steady at No. 7 (52,000), G-Eazy’s The Beautiful & Damned slips 3-8 (50,000), Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. jumps 16-9 (47,000), and Post Malone’s Stoney rises 13-10 (44,000).

The 36-year-old entertainer took to Instagram on Monday (January 1) to share a sweet video of herself and her 23-year-old model beau cuddling and having some fun with filters.

#OMG: Bernice King Calls Out Newsweek For Insensitive MLK Tweet
Newsweek posted and deleted a tweet on Monday that referenced the death of Martin Luther King Jr. after his daughter called out the publication for being thoughtless.
The post included a photo of the civil rights leader in his casket and the caption “Has anybody here seen my old friend Martin?” The quote is from “Abraham, Martin and Jack,” a song Dick Holler wrote in 1968 to memorialize the lives of Abraham Lincoln, MLK, former President John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert ― all of whom were assassinated after promoting social change.
The publication also linked to an article listing several upcoming milestones, including the 50-year anniversary of the assassination of MLK.
“Why, @Newsweek? Wow,” Bernice King tweeted in response. Many Twitter users replied to her, agreeing that Newsweek’s post was insensitive.
Newsweek deleted its post shortly after King tweeted at the publication, and apologized.
“@BerniceKing Earlier this afternoon we published an opinion piece with an insensitive image of Martin Luther King Jr.,” it said. “We sincerely apologize to the King family for this egregious error.”

Dave Chappelle Defends Louis C.K. Amid Sexual Misconduct Scandal
During the New Year’s Eve Netflix special The Bird Revelation, Dave called Louis‘ accusers “weak” for claiming his sexual misconduct kept them from pursuing a career in comedy.
“Louis was like the turning point. All these allegations were terrible — I shouldn’t say this — but his allegations were the only ones that made me laugh,” Dave said. “When you think about it, he’s jerking off — he’s surprising people. … I picture all the comics in comedy reading it like, ‘Word!’ It’s terrible, I’m sorry ladies, you’re right. At the same time, Jesus Christ, they took everything from Louis. It might be disproportionate, I can’t tell. This is where it’s hard to be man.”
Back in November Louis confirmed all the sexual assault allegations against him and ultimately lost his partnership with HBO.
“You think if Louis C.K. jerked off in front of Dr. [Martin Luther] King, he’d be like, ‘I can’t continue this movement? I’m sorry, but the freedom of black people must be stopped,” Dave went on. “I didn’t know this n—- was going to pull his dick out and jerk off like this.
