Drake To Pull Double Duty As Host & Musical Guest In His Return To ‘SNL’
With his Views album projected to sell over 850,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week, Drake is set to return to the Saturday Night Live stage on May 14th.
The “One Dance” rapper will be pulling double duty, according to Vulture, as host and musical guest – just as he did in 2014.
More on Views – the LP has already sold more than 770,000 copies; earning Drizzy his largest sales week ever, and is on track to debut at No. 1 – giving him his sixth chart topper.
Views follows Drake’s five consecutive No. 1-debuting full-length albums on the Billboard 200: 2015’s What a Time to Be Alive (with Future), If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (2015), Nothing Was the Same, Take Care (2012) and Thank Me Later (2010).
His debut EP, So Far Gone, was his only charting album to miss the top. It peaked at No. 6 in 2009.

Daniels will also be making a "generous" contribution to charity.
Sean Penn will be pulling a $10 million defamation lawsuit against Empire creator Lee Daniels thanks to a settlement that includes a profuse apology and a charitable donation.
The actor filed his lawsuit in Sept. 2015 after Daniels spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about domestic abuse troubles for Empire star Terrence Howard. "[Terrence Howard] ain't done nothing different than Marlon Brando or Sean Penn, and all of a sudden he's some f—in' demon," said Daniels at the time. "That's a sign of the time, of race, of where we are right now in America."
Penn saw the comment as a slur on him. He blanched at being likened to someone who admitted to physically abusing women. The actor said he was never arrested for domestic violence, and in his complaint, asserted he would "no longer tolerate the reckless and malicious behavior of others, who seek to aggrandize themselves or their projects at his expense."
When he amended the lawsuit in December, Penn even provided a declaration from his former wife Madonna that there was never any assault.
"I am so sorry that I have hurt you, Sean, and I apologize and retract my reckless statements about you," says Daniels now in a statement that ends the lawsuit. "How thoughtless of me. You are someone I consider a friend, a brilliant actor and true Hollywood legend and humanitarian."
Daniels adds, "I too have been the subject of false attacks by others, like those made here. My most important role is as a father, and it is important to me that my children learn that it is wrong to reference gossip as fact, as I did here. That can be very damaging and hurtful. Domestic violence is a very serious issue. My comments were cavalier; it was not my intention to diminish the severity of the issue, but rather to express a view regarding the disparate treatment of men of color in our national conversation. I apologize again for the distress that this has caused you and your family."
"I accept Lee's heartfelt apology and appreciate the sincerity with which it was delivered," responds Penn. "I also accept and appreciate his generous donation to J/P HRO, which will have a transformative effect on the lives of those we serve in Haiti."
These words bring an end to the defamation handled on behalf of Penn by attorney Mathew Rosengart and defended on behalf of Daniels by James Sammataro. Before it ended, the legal action spurred a First Amendment defense premised on whether Daniels' comments amounted to a non-actionable opinion. There was also the issue of whether Penn, as a public figure who had tolerated years of gossip stories, could show actual malice. But the answer may have to await a future court action as Penn and Daniels are moving forward.

On the track, which he teased earlier this year, Breezy sings out to his girl that things aren’t always better on the other side.

The brand new single is the first release off his upcoming eighth album ‘Heartbreak on a Full Moon.’
In addition to readying new music and his “Welcome to My Life” documentary, Chris will head to Europe later this month on his “One Hell of a Nite Tour.”

#NEWHIPHOP: The Game feat. Sonyae – ‘Mama’
The Game honors Afeni Shakur. Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Compton rapper shows his appreciation for Tupac’s late mother on “Mama” featuring Sonyae.
He quotes lyrics from Tupac’s 1995 classic “Dear Mama” and salutes all the mothers including his own on the touching tribute, produced by StreetRunner and Tarik Azzouz.
“And even though your only son grew up to be a thug, you ain’t never stopped showin’ me love,” raps Game, adding, “We ain’t shit without our mamas.”
He also honored Afeni’s memory with a post on Instagram. “In the wake of Afeni Shakur’s untimely death, I would like to wish her well on her journey to heaven,” he wrote. “My condolences are with Sekyiwa Shakur & their immediate family in their time of mourning. You have endured a great loss but her soul can now fly free & she is reunited with her only son in time to hug him for Mother’s Day.”

Tony Award nominee Lupita Nyong’o turned heads when she stepped out on the red carpet at the 2016 Met Gala in a sparkling green Calvin Klein gown and her sky-high sculptured hair.
Once again, VOGUE tried to explain the Kenyan beauty's look to the masses comparing Lupita’s updo to Audrey Hepburn’s hairstyle in her 1963 VOGUE shoot.
We’re not sure how they still got it wrong being that she told Andre Leon Talley the inspiration behind the updo (one of them being iconic singer Nina Simone) on the carpet:

Uh Oh? Whoopi Goldberg Threatens to Bolt From ‘The View’
Co-host, whose contract ends soon, has told friends that she is fed up
Whoopi Goldberg may be ready to disappear from “The View. According to The Wrap ”The outspoken Oscar winner has informed friends that she’s fed up with ABC’s morning chatfest and wants to bail from the panel, where she has held forth on topics weighty and trivial since 2007.
“Whoopi has told those close to her she will exit the show,” said one daytime TV veteran, who spoke with TheWrap on the condition of anonymity.
Whether she really means it or could be persuaded to stay remains to be seen. Goldberg, 60, is in talks with ABC about extending her contract, which is up at the end of this season. Making noise about leaving is a time-honored tactic used to increase bargaining leverage.
The network bosses seem open to an agreement. “We want her back and are trying to make that happen,” said a source close to the show.
But change of one sort or another is likely coming to “The View” soon. Raven-Symone, who joined the panel last year, probably won’t be returning, one insider said.
The remaining panel members are Joy Behar (the sole original co-host), Michelle Collins, Candace Cameron Bure and Paula Faris.
The hosts’ reps aren’t talking. Goldberg’s publicist did not return a call and e-mail, and one of her agents at CAA likewise remained mum. A Raven-Symone rep did not respond to an e-mail.
ABC’s morning lineup is facing major changes this year. Last month, the network announced that it would move Michael Strahan, co-host of “Live With Kelly and Michael,” to “Good Morning America.” Executives are trying to help “GMA” recapture an advantage in its nonstop ratings battle with NBC’s “Today.”
Kelly Rowland Makes A Visit To Her Hometown To Give Back To The Boys & Girls Club of Atlanta
Did you know on average the children of today are exposed to 30 minutes of sunlight per day? Chasing Destiny’s Kelly Rowland is known from her life in Houston, Tx. The singer’s roots lead all the way back to Atlanta, Ga. Last week, the songstress engaged with the Boys & Girls Club Atlanta as she joined in their outdoor activities.
Kelly is an all around humanitarian, as she serves as the national spokesperson for the Boys & Girls Club of America and collaborates with Claritin to help renovate the playground for the Salvation Army’s Boys & Girls Club of Atlanta at the Bellwood Club on the westside of Atlanta.
It was also the perfect opportunity for Rowland and the innovators of Claritin to promote the outdoors and demonstrate how Vitamin D from the UV sun rays help to counter the effect of allergies. Kelly and the innovators of Claritin have the makeover of outdoor spaces at Clubs in three cities across the country, including Atlanta.
The angelic Rowland, whose love for kids is genuine, spoke to them about the importance of outdoor activities and being the best they can be. Afterwards, she and the kids took to the new playground and engaged in activities in the renovated field behind the Boys & Girls Club.
Dr. Jonathan Field, the clinical allergist and member of the Claritin C.L.E.A.R. Council, made the trip from New York to Atlanta for the event coordinated by Stephanie Ross of Edelman. Field was there to elucidate the need for children to spend more time outdoors to counteract the allergies, as well as how seasonal allergy irritations and symptoms can be easily managed with Claritin.

This year’s Tony Award nominees are partying it up before the big night. Broadway’s finest will be awarded during a live show set to air Sunday, June 12th at 8pm EST on CBS.
But before the winners are announced, the nominees are enjoying the fancy dinner soirees. The folks in the running stepped out to the Tony Awards Meet The Nominees Press Reception held at the Paramount Hotel for the fun.
Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o is gunning for her next big award. After making her debut on Broadway in Danai Gurira's drama “Eclipsed,” she has been nominated for Best Leading Actress in a Play.
After serving up a hair-raising look for the Met Gala, the Kenyan beauty is picture perfect once again. We’re obsessed with this color on her flawless skin.
The gorgeous star shook hands with President of the American Theatre Wing Heather Hitchens as she made her way down the carpet.
Danielle Brooks is another one that made her Broadway debut this year and nabbed a nomination. The curvy diva is being nominated in the Best Featured Actress in a Musical category for her role in “The Color Purple.”
Stage director John Doyle and Tony Award nominee Cynthia Erivo joined Danielle on the carpet. Cynthia is up for the Best Leading Actress in a Musical award for her portrayal as Sofia in “The Color Purple.”
The man behind the hit Hip Hop musical “Hamilton” was in the mix. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s highly popular musical is up for a whooping 16 Tony Awards.
"Hamilton" actress Renee Elise Goldsberry came out to enjoy the festivities.
Tony Award winning tap dancer Savion Glover, who currently stars in the Broadway musical "Shuffle Along" with Audra McDonald, came out to meet the nominees.
