Will Smith Grabs Up Part Ownership Of The Philadelphia 76ers

Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith just became the next entertainers to own a professional sport team. He went back home to Philly to buy a percentage of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Despite going through crazy breakup and cheating rumors as a couple recently, the Smiths just made a major move in the sports world. Will became the 4th major recording artist, along with his wife Jada, to own part of an NBA team.
The dad of 3 is part of an investment group, headed by multi-billionaire Joshua Harris, who made the major purchase and was unanimously approved by the NBA Board of Governors.

“My partners and I are thrilled to have become owners of the Sixers,” Joshua Harris said in a statement. ”It is an honor to become part of this storied franchise. We have a lot of work to do, but we have a rich history, a strong foundation and a bright future.”

The Smiths join the likes of Usher (Cleveland Cavs), Nelly (Charlotte Bobcats), and Jay-Z (New Jersey Nets).

Ne-Yo And Monyetta Shaw Welcome A Baby Boy

Many of us found about the Ne-Yo’s girlfriend (wife?) Monyetta Shaw being pregnant kind of late. Apparently, it was super late because the couple welcomed a baby boy into the world this past Wednesday night. Ne-Yo was actually scheduled to perform at the Hotel on Rivington’s Co-Op Penthouse but dropped out once he found that Monyetta was about to have the baby.

While Ne-Yo did have to drop out of the performance, all was well because Jay-Z showed up to the event to support the designers of Yellow Fever, Mikkel and Hege Eriksen. I am so happy that Ne-Yo and Monyetta’s family is growing. The couple are now the proud parents of a baby boy and girl! I wonder if a marriage is soon to come although Ne-Yo vehemently denied engagement rumors. What are your thoughts on the birth of their newest child?

BLACK STAR POWER come out to Support Angela Bassett & Sam L. Jackson's "The Mountaintop" Opening Night

It was Angela Bassett & Samuel L. Jackson's big Broadway. The duo cast of "The Mountaintop" celebrated their official Opening Night at the Benard Jacobs Theater in NYC with their celeb friends, after being in previews for several weeks.

The Deans made it a date night. Alicia Keys (who is set to start working musically with director Kenny Leon on next month's Broadway production of "Stick Fly") and Kasseem "Swizz Beatz" Dean hit up the theater to support the talented duo.

A history lesson mixed with a rare inside look into Martin Luther King Jr.'s (who Sam Jackson played) paranoia, his women, and how he second guessed himself when the road to civil rights got tough. Angela Bassett plays maid "Camae" (which was the role Halle Berry had to back out of due to her custody battle) with a very interesting twist.

Alicia Keys kept it cute in this green tailored blazer with a spiked Christian Louboutin shoulder strap purse and her black pants. And her hubby also rocked green with his leather sleeved coat.

And she rocked her graphic print Louboutins for the occasion.

Angela & Sam took their bow with director Kenny Leon and playwright Katori Hall.

Cam'ron To Star In Drama Film "Percentage," Produced By Queen Latifah

Killa Cam will star alongside Omar Gooding in the drama flick.
Cam’ron is set to star in the upcoming film Percentage, a drama produced by Queen Latifah and Flavor Unit Entertainment.

The flick, directed by Alex Merkin and written by Elya Ottenberg, will be the first shot in Flavor Unit Studios in Miami, Florida. Cam’ron stars alongside Omar Gooding as “two New York hustlers who are on the run from a drug deal gone bad.

They settle in Miami to build a new empire in the world of credit fraud, but their success brings unwanted attention from law enforcement and Miami’s most notorious criminals.”
Additional stars include Macy Gray, Ving Rhames, Antwan Tanner, Robert Watson and Malinda Williams. Cam’ron and Latifah’s Flavor Unit partners will independently finance.

Kim Kardashian is afraid she's made a huge mistake by getting married to Kris Humphries.

Kim Kardashian should've been giddy with excitement on the day her E! Special, Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, was premiering. However, Life & Style has learned that instead, she was venting to a friend about her fears on tying the knot so quickly!

"I didn't know marriage was going to be so hard," she complained to a pal while getting a mani-pedi at Clover Nails in NYC on Oct. 9. "With all this travel and work, it's been a big adjustment for both of us."

And it's a huge change that Kim, 30, isn't sure she wants to settle for. "She doesn't feel like she's ready for the commitment," a friend reveals to the new issue of Life & Style, on newsstands now. "Kim feels this all happened too soon."
Most devastating? Kim's family had been warning her from the start but Kim was always quick to defend Kris, 26, when her sisters called him rude and attention-hungry. "I just wish they had more time with him," Kim lamented to Life & Style.

The 28-year-old singer and rapper teamed up with Italian artist Francesco Vezzoli in a brand new shoot for W magazine where she dresses up as various famous 18th century courtesans.
The star channels Louis XV's last mistress Jeanne Bécu, Comtesse du Barry in one photograph which shows her wearing minimal makeup and an ornate white and blue embroidered gown, by Dior Haute Couture, along with vintage Manolo Blahnik shoes.

Another photograph features Nicki posing in a frilly blue and white dress and long dark wig in the guise of Russian-born courtesan Madame Barbe de Rimsky-Korsakov.
Vezzoli, who has worked with the likes of Lady Gaga and Eva Mendes in his fashion-meets-art projects, tells the magazine he was interested in working with Nicki because he 'wanted to play with the public image of a female hip hop star.'

Just days ago, Nicki appeared at an American Music Awards event in a typically striking outfit, which consisted of a multi-coloured skirt, electric blue boots, a very low cut bra top and fluffy green jacket.

An electric blue and blonde wig finished the look which provided a stark contrast to W magazine's pictures.
'In her performances, Minaj makes very explicit and ­challenging use of her beauty and her body, so I thought of comparing her to some of the most famous courtesans in history: the Marquise de ­Montespan, Comtesse du Barry, Madame de Pompadour, and ­Madame Rimsky-­Korsakov,' says Vezzoli.

'My idea was to reproduce four iconic portraits of some of the most fascinating females of the past in a series starring an American pop-culture role model.

'Luckily enough, the result came out as surreal as it could be, just as I wished.'

The artist says he tries to use original furniture, props and clothing for the pictures, another of which shows the rapper as the Marquise de Montespan, who was chief mistress of Louis XIV of France.
The star looks stunning in a silk embroidered purple Dior Haute Couture dress, with a dark ringlet hair style.

Another shot features her as Jeanne Antoinette Poisson - better known as the infamous Marquise de Pompadour, chief mistress of Louis XV.

The singer is well known for her experimental sense of style. She once told Teen Vogue: 'I've constantly tried new things, even as a child, and have always been obsessed with pink.

Snoop Dogg's wife, Shante Broadus, showed up at the Playboy Club where Snoop was partying in London and chased all the bunnies out of his VIP... From The Mirror

Snoop, who turns 40 later this month, went on a pre-birthday night out to the London Playboy Club with Ashley Cole, former Blur star Damon Albarn and David Haye.

And sandwiched between two puffy-tailed girls with big fluffy ears, Snoop – whose new single, Young, Wild And Free, is out now – would have been looking forward to a good night. Before long, 20 of them were whooping and grinding in his VIP area, which was beginning to resemble a late-night version of Watership Down.

A reveller said: “It was hilarious. There were 20 women in pink bunny outfits whooping, cheering and gyrating as he got up, but by the time he sat back down they’d all been cleared out – and there was a much sterner looking woman sat there instead.

Rapper Young Buck Facing Liquidation & About Lose Everything

Young Buck’s already difficult financial situation is taking a turn for the worse. The “Wall Street Journal” says the hip-hop star is now facing Chapter Seven liquidation. Young Buck and his Chapter Eleven trustee, Jeanne Burton, filed for bankruptcy back in June. At the time, they were hoping they could modify Young Buck’s agreements with 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records and Universal Music Group so that Buck could receive the necessary revenue to pay off his creditors. 

Unfortunately, Burton filed court papers last week stating that Young Buck and 50 Cent haven’t been able to come to an agreement. To make matters worse for Young Buck, Burton has become aware of a misappropriation of some of his funds. Burton says she discovered that a “former acquaintance” of the rapper was having performance and appearance fees wired to an unauthorized bank account opened for one of Young Buck’s companies.

Young Buck has battled several financial and legal problems over the past few years. In August of 2010, the IRS raided his Nashville home over 300-thousand dollars in unpaid taxes. During the raid, officials found a firearm and ammunition in the house. Young Buck, who’s a convicted felon, isn’t allowed to possess a gun. The rapper appeared in court back in March to plead not guilty to federal felony gun possession charges.

Kim Kardashian Opens Millions of Milkshakes in Dubai!

As she draws an end to her United Arab Emirates trip, Kim Kardashian stepped out for the grand opening of Millions Of Milkshakes at the Dubai Mall on Friday (October 14).

Tweeting about the evening plans - which were the main reason for the overseas adventure - Kim wrote to her millions of followers, "About to head out to the Dubai Mall, who is there?"Once arrived at the largest shopping mall in the world, the E! star was decked out in a bright red frock as she and her mother, Kris Jenner, were welcomed by a huge crowd of fans lining the entrance, many of whom held up cardboard signs proclaiming their admiration for the brunette beauty.

As they made their way inside the gigantic shopping mecca, Kim and Kris proceeded to strut down a catwalk in the middle of the mall before answering a few questions and heading to the Millions Of Milkshakes shop to step behind the counter and whip up some tasty ice cream treats.

Chris Tucker To Lose $6 Million Home

Rush Hour star Chris Tucker's $6 million Florida mansion is in foreclosure, with more than $4.4 million owed to the bank, reports the Orlando Sentinel, citing papers filed in Circuit Court in Lake County.

Tucker, 39, bought the 10,000-sq.-ft. waterfront home on Lake Apopka, near Orlando, in 2007. The newspaper says the residence contains five bedrooms, three fireplaces, a personal spa, an outdoor kitchen overlooking a pool, and a basement outfitted to resemble a pirate ship, including the sail.

Court documents reportedly show an $11.5 million IRS lien on the home in 2011 in order to collect federal income taxes from Tucker, whose monthly mortgage payment, the documents also show, was $25,812.50.

There has been no comment from Tucker, but the Times Union of Albany, N.Y., reports that his comedy show scheduled in the city for this Sunday – and was a rescheduling of a postponed Sept. 3 performance – has been canceled because of "unforeseen circumstances."

Child BOO! Norwood Young Isn't Broke Or Using A Sugardaddy Afterall?

Looks like Norwood Young isn't going broke afterall. Despite reports of selling his L.A. mansion at a dirt cheap price and having to reach out to an alleged sugardaddy, we've found out that's not the case.

We were one of the sites to receive the bad info about just what was going on with Mr. Norwood Young and how his lifestyle came to be. And we decided to get to the bottom of it for the real deal once and for all.

Folks have been wondering for years exactly who Norwood is and how he copped his interesting 7 Bed/7 BR & 4,832 sqft home for $1.2 mill back in '97. Most haven't heard his songs he stays he makes his money from. Young is a singer, author and activist. He is also the author of Getting Back To My Me, an inspirational memoir that sheds light on the devastating effects of childhood sexual abuse. He first auditioned for the leading role of James Thunder Early in the off Broadway production of Dreamgirls, wherein he got the lead role.
He was also seen on the Broadway shows, Momma I want to Sing, Part.2 and Don't Get God Started and A Good Man is Hard to Find. He is also the owner of the nightclub, Club Collage.

Norwood also told us recently that his "look" is due to sex abuse issues, not vanity or sexual orientation reasons as previously reported. He actually revealed details about it back in February when he included it in his book:

"Keeping this a secret, it manifested into drug abuse. It manifested into psychosis. It manifested into self-mutilation in the form of more than 15 plastic surgery procedures. I had the voice of my cousin in my head saying, 'Shut up! It's supposed to hurt. You're a pretty boy,' so I didn't want to look like that, didn't want to look like myself. I don't like my eyes, I don't like my cheeks. I would just change this stuff. And I was able to mask the reality with these idiosyncrasies in a show business community where they're not only accepted, but admired."

R. Kelly’s Ex-Girlfriend Chante Speaks With Blogger Freddy O About R. Kelly, Abuse Rumors, and Life After

Chante has been the center of media attention not only because of her high profile relationship with Grammy Award Winner R. Kelly, but also due to rumors circulating about possible domestic violence during their relationship. Here she speaks with Freddyo to address these rumors and set the record straight. Check out our exclusive interview inside.

How did you and R. Kelly meet?

I met Robert in 1995. I was an extra in one of his videos. Actually I was asked by one of my girlfriends to go with her and as we were leaving [the video shoot] his people approached me and gave me his number. I called him a week later and that was it.

When did you start dating and how long was the relationship?

I met him in ’95 around Halloween and we started talking a week later. Then he flew me out to visit him and it turned into 7 years after that.

7 years?

Yeah it was pretty much off and on but that’s how it started.

There were rumors about R. Kelly being abusive and possessive in your relationship. Is there any truth to these rumors?

What I want to say about that is absolutely not. R. Kelly was never abusive towards me and that’s what makes me so upset about these rumors. He has a possessive personality and that’s with anything he does like his relationships and his music. He was like that with his staff too, he’s just a very dominating person but as far as being physically or verbally abusive towards me, no he wasn’t. Now if he wanted something his way he wanted it his way but it never got to the point where I considered it abuse. That was just how he was and people can see that in his music. He does have an assertiveness about him where it was his way or no way.

So basically you’re saying your relationship was never physically abusive or harmful in any way.

No absolutely not. He has never hit me. The only time we argued was like twice in our entire relationship and those weren’t even real arguments. He’s never been abusive or put his hands on me. He never even called me out my name or talked down to me. He was never anything like what the rumors said.

Now of course this is an old relationship but sometimes you may speak with your ex, are you and him still in communication?

No as of today Robert and I do not communicate. I seen Robert and spoke to him in July at his L.A concert and that was just briefly. It wasn’t anything major and that was it. We respect one another and we were able to end as friends.

So you two didn’t end on a bad note?

We did not. At that time when we did end we didn’t speak for awhile because his life went into another direction and mine too. But when we see each other its cool, it’s no animosity. I don’t even know what he feels about the rumors. I haven’t spoke to him about it but we’re not in any kind of beef.

Domestic Violence is a very serious issue. Of course we have the highly publicized Rhianna and Chris Brown relationship. Even with the rumors being associated with your name, what is your stance on domestic violence?

It’s unacceptable. I completely feel it’s unacceptable and that’s what upset me most about the rumor because I don’t tolerate that. I don’t care who you are, what’s your status, nothing. It’s just unacceptable 110% and I wish so many women would learn from the Rihanna situation and other situations. That’s why I wanted to speak about it because I have family members calling me and asking me about it and it really pissed me off.

How do you think the rumors surfaced?

Well Robert had a lot of staff with him at the time and we did get into an argument in front of people and I think it just kind of escalated. It was a lot of people around [in his camp] and at the time a lot of these people were friends with some of my people and I think someone felt like they wanted to say that. What happened most of the time between me and him no one was even around. A lot of the times we spent alone together. It was just always a lot of people around and I guess they really were trying to just get him into trouble and keeping his name in a negative light.

Since your relationship with R. Kelly what have you been doing?

Well I’m a personal chef. I went to culinary art school so I do that and I also have a blog on YouTube with my friend which is doing better than we expected.

What’s the name of it?

It’s called DollzTalk and we just talk about different issues in the media. We started it for fun and then if kind of took a life of its own so we’re doing that and I’m just enjoying life.

People tend to think that if you date one high profile celebrity you continue to pick from that celebrity pool. If you don’t mind me asking, have you dated any other celebrities?

No I’ve never dated anyone before Robert or after him. At the time I didn’t even want to date him but like I said it’s just something that happened but no I haven’t dated anyone else. I know that people in the industry jump from one person to the next but I’ve never done that. I don’t even think I want to date another celebrity because it’s very hard and I like my life simple as possible. It’s so much being involved in that kind of relationship because you have to deal with their stress and tip toe around certain situations because their stressed out. The media is looking at everything and it’s just horrible. I wouldn’t date anyone else.

If you can tell us one thing about Chante what would it be?

I’m a strong woman; I’m very secure with Chante. I would never stand for a domestic violence relationship or a verbally abusive relationship. I would never allow myself to stay in a situation like that. I was a girl who dated a man who happened to be a celebrity figure and certain situations got out of control because of the staff he chose to surround himself with. I would never allow myself to be in a situation that wasn’t in my best interest. I would have never been with him just to say I’m with R. Kelly. I do want people to know I may not be “Team R. Kelly” but he’s a very good person and he never was disrespectful to me. I don’t know how he is now but when we were dating he was a very respectful man.

HORIFFIC! Teen charged with death of child, one, after he 'repeatedly banged his head against the wall'

A teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with the beating death of the one-year-old child of his girlfriend.
Joshua Guzman, 18, from Staten Island, was charged with assault and child endangerment after allegedly hitting the child's head twice against the wall.
Seth Azemi, aged 14 months, was declared brain dead after spending a week on life support when he was admitted to hospital with two skull fractures.
His mother, 25-year-old Stephanie Soto, left Seth in the care of her younger boyfriend.
Court papers say that Guzman was walking with the baby in his arms when he swung his body around, hitting the child's head against a bedroom wall.

Then, when he shut the door as he was leaving the room, he struck the boy's head in the process.

Police allege that he repeatedly banged the child's head against the wall.
A medical examiner is still working to determine the cause of death but depending on the results the charges may be upgraded to murder.
According to the New York Daily News, Soto was a no-show at a family court hearing on Friday over the custody of her two other children.
Seth's father Agim (Jimmy) Azemi said at the hearing: 'I had to see my son take his last breath and then spend all day in this courthouse - and they're not even here.
'I'm sick of telling the same story again. My son died.'

Soto's two other children by Mr Azemi, a five-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl, were removed from her custody by the city Administration for Children's Services after Seth's death.
He said he wanted the mother of his children arrested in connection with Seth's death but police have not yet brought any charges against her.
He told the Daily News: 'She knew what was happening. Her mother who lived with her warned about the boyfriend.

'He weighed 20 pounds when he was brought to the hospital. That's not normal. When I was involved, he was healthy - 35 to 40 pounds.'

He also said ACS officials had been monitoring the children for the past ten months and failed in August to notice bruises on the child's face.
