Adele is currently riding the biggest career wave in recent memory. She
swept that Grammys, she took home two Brit Awards, she’s breaking chart records,
and she’s the first artist to go double-platinum on iTunes. This time should be
all roses, right? Well, haters still want to hate. Although “hate” seems a
strong word for this one - The Enquirer reports that backstage at the Grammys,
Adele had an “incident” with Jennifer Hudson’s rude ass. Imagine this: you’ve
just won your sixth Grammy of the night, you’re riding high and you’re emotional
and grateful and so, so happy. Now imagine Jennifer Hudson comes over to you and
starts talking about how you need to lose weight. J-Hud better step off.
The
first thing Jennifer Hudson did when she ran into Adele backstage at the Grammys
was congratulate her on her impressive haul. The second thing she did was offer
weight-loss tips, which annoyed Adele. Hudson, a Weight Watchers spokesperson,
pulled Adele aside at the Grammys and offered to be her fat-fighting
mentor!
A source told the Enquirer, “Jennifer congratulated Adele on her six
trophies but then added, ‘I used to be heavy just like you and gosh, Weight
Watchers saved my life! I can hook you up.’”
Although Adele was outwardly gracious, friends say she was seething on the
inside. She huffed about Jennifer, “The nerve of that woman!” Adele has made it
known she’s happy just the way she is – at 165 pounds – and doesn’t intend to
diet..
This isn’t the first time Jennifer’s zeal for losing weight has
backfired.
“Her heart is in the right place, but her preaching is starting
to get on people’s nerves,” said the friend, who added that Jennifer may have
been motivated by jealousy. “I’m sure seeing Adele become the belle of the ball
at the Grammys got under her skin. Meanwhile, Adele has made it pretty clear she
doesn’t care what Jennifer or anyone else thinks about her or her weight.”
Chris Brown x Rihanna To Re-Unite On Stage
at American Idol Finale?
Rihanna and Chris Brown have been receiving all kinds of backlash for
reuniting on each other’s songs, so what’s a live performance together added to
the mix? Well it could be happening sooner than you think. Rumor has it that the
two ex-lovers may be hooking up to perform at American Idol’s season
finale.
Rihanna’s rep has denied any involvement of the two regarding a performance
together, while an insider has commented that “They [Producers] want Chris and
Rihanna to reunite on the show.” But is “American Idol” really the right avenue
to take for a long lost couple to get back to their business? A family show?
Promoting domestic violence?
Yes the altercation was more than three years
ago now, and nobody is saying that all can’t be forgiven at some point and time…
but many would argue that “American Idol” isn’t the right avenue to showcase it.
People have already been going hard at both of them for even reuniting on a
song, it’d be interesting to see how they would interact on stage with one
another. Because you know that if they got together for “Birthday Cake” it’d be
one big sexually explicit love fest up there– and that’d really get people
talking.

Petey Pablo Serving A 3-Year Jail
Term
The former platinum selling rapper Petey Pablo who was arrested for trying
to smuggle a gun through an airport on September 11 of all days finally began
his 3 year prison in West Virginia.
According to court docs obtained by TMZ,
the court recommended Pablo receive “intensive substance abuse treatment,
vocational training and educational opportunities” while locked up.
He is scheduled be released on July 17, 2014.
Atlanta Gay Beating Victim Brandon White
Lied, Thugs Jumped Him For Threatening To Expose Their DL Ways?
Members of Change Atlanta, a gay rights organization, report Brandon White
is a lier and got the ass whipping of a life time cause he was trying to expose
all his DL friends.
White is the 20-year old Atlanta man who was beaten by three men outside a
neighborhood store in Atlanta’s Pittsburgh community on Feb. 4. While the men
were beating White, they yelled gay slurs at him.
CBSATL reports Devin Ward was among the first in the community to speak out
against the beating. Ward said he supported White when he first saw the beating
video on TV. He thought the three men beat White because he is gay. But Ward
said now he doesn’t believe that’s the case.
“If indeed this is shown to be
truthful in that Brandon did have prior interaction with these young men,
Brandon needs to come forward and make his wrong wright,” Ward said.
Terik Jackson is also with Change Atlanta.
“In the beginning we thought this was a random attack because Brandon was
gay, because of his sexual orientation. The video did depict that there were
some slurs that were used,” Jackson said.
When White spoke publicly for the
first time after the beating, he told reporters he did not know his
attackers.
“I have never seen those guys before. I go to that store plenty
times. I don’t bother anybody I don’t talk to anybody. No, I have never seen
those guys before,” White said.
Several days after the attack, police arrested Dorian Moragne, Christopher
Cain and Dareal Williams.
Gary Nichols said he and several other members of the community searched
for White’s attackers before they were arrested. NIchols said when they
interviewed witnesses and those in the Pittsburgh community who know White and
his alleged attackers, he found out new details about White’s prior relationship
with some of his attackers.
“I would tell the Atlanta community we were
duped. We were all duped and it’s a shame. It’s a bitter shame,” Nichols
said.
Nichols said the attack was not a hate crime. The motivation was
revenge.
“Brandon was agitating these young men about personally exposing them for
being DL gay – on the down low possibly gay. The young men responded because
they don’t want their families to know,” Nichols said.
Jackson said he spoke
directly with one of the suspects, Dorian Moragne, who also confirmed that they
knew White.
“He was very clear about being sure that Brandon White in fact
knew the other attackers in question,” Jackson said.
Jackson and Nichols said
the attack was centered around a video that’s supposed to be on White’s phone.
The video of the attack shows one of the men grab White’s phone.
“It’s a video of somebody performing a sexual act with one or a few of
these young men,” Nichols said.
“That’s why the cell phone was a target. They didn’t just beat him up
because he was gay,” Jackson said.
Atlanta Police is still investigating the
beating. A spokesman said whether or not White knew his attackers will not
affect their case. A crime was still committed. The FBI is investigating as to
whether or not a hate crime was committed.
“It’s very important that we know
the truth and the community deserves to know the truth,” Jackson said.
CBS Atlanta tried to contact White through his attorney, but she did not
return our call.
CHURCH BANS KIDS, TO ALLOW PEDOPHILIA PASTOR TO
PREACH
Christ Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church has banned children from
attending Sunday services because their new pastor, Darrell Gilyard, is a
registered sex offender and cannot have contact with children. In 2009 Gilyard
plead guilty to lewd conduct and lewd molestation of two underage girls. While
he was the pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church Gilyard molested a 15-year-old girl
and sent a lewd text message to another. Under the conditions of his plea
agreement, Gilyard cannot have “unsupervised contact with children under 18
years old,” and his new church has taken extraordinary steps to help Gilyard
stick to the terms of his deal.
WATCH:
Despite the seriousness of his offense, Gilyard’s return to the pulpit was
swift. After being released from jail on December 28, he resumed preaching in
January, and told reporters he hopes he can move past this incident and continue
with his work. “Somehow I will prove that life isn’t over when one has committed
a crime for which he receives this heinous label,” Gilyard said. “You don’t have
to languish on the fringes of society.”
I believe in second chances and I know God believes in many chances — I
wouldn’t be were I am today, if he didn’t. So, no shade to this congregation or
its pastor, but this leaves me with a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach!

September
Azealia Banks had the Internet abuzz with her raunchy single “212,” but
she’s just getting started. The Harlem rapper-singer is prepping her debut album
for a September release.
“It’s called Broke With Expensive Taste and it’s
coming out in September,” the 20-year-old newcomer told Nylon. “The theme is a
young girl trying to find it.”
She elaborated on the concept. “That girl who’s at the end of her childhood
trying to get a job and make some money,” she explained. “She needs to get what
she can get! She needs to go out there and show people she knows how to work for
it.”
Banks, who is signed to Universal Music, has quickly been embraced by the
fashion community, performing at Karl Lagerfeld’s Net-a-Porter collection
launch, shooting a video with Thierry Mugler designer Nicola Formicetti, and

It seems Madonna‘s taste for controversy has rubbed off on those around
her; namely producer Martin Sloveig.
For, the ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’
crafter made quite the gaffe when talking up the 53 year old in a recent
interview.

Speaking to French radio station Europe1 this week,
Sloveig had the following to say when quizzed on Madonna’s legacy:
“She has
left her landmark in music and fashion in every era. In the 80s, in the 90s. And
she has succeeded – what I think Michael Jackson has failed to do – to still be
relevant in the 2000s working with Mirwais and Stuart Price. I’m more a fan of
those albums than the ones she released when she started. And THAT is impressive
to me.”
And that’s not all. When inevitably questioned about the singer’s
“beef” with Lady GaGa, the hitmaker added:
“No (GaGa did not take her
crown). I think she’s a disciple. There’s a master and a disciple. It’s very
simple. We all have a role model, don’t we?”
Clearly, those Live Nation cheques have Sloveig feeling all sorts of dizzy,
because he’s spouting hot doo doo on a platter. Especially when it comes to
MJ.
For, in his brief 50 years, Michael achieved a level of legend (and had a
cultural impact) which will almost certainly never be seen again. Ever.
Though MJ and Madonna are routinely hailed as the King and Queen of Pop,
it’s worth noting that Michael achieved such status without flashing his
privates, leeching on younger stars, or courting controversy. And while troubles
may have consumed the final years of his career, he boasts a catalogue of hits
which aren’t confined to the era they were created. They remain relevant till
this very day. Can the same be said for the material which has mobilised
Madonna’s longevity (particularly her latter efforts)?
And that’s not to take away from ‘M’, as her run (how ever cunning) has
been wholly impressive. However, Sloveig highlights what not to do when working
with an artist of Maggie’s caliber: become blinded. It’ll only lead to
soundbites such as those above, which make him sound wacker than the material
he’s been cooking up with Madge as of late.

A group of Beverly Hilton staffers who spoke to the press after Whitney
Houston was found dead at the swanky Los Angeles hotel have been fired. The
hotel employees that talked to the media were fired because they violated hotel
policy. They weren’t high-level employees, but the hotel didn’t want anyone to
talk about Whitney’s death. A lot of drama has ensued at the hotel, now claims
that an unspecified number of guests are asking for a refund due to the ensuing
Whitney chaos, including an onslaught of emergency service workers, media, fans,
security and the morbidly curious. The hotel has allegedly refused requests for
a refund or discount, and instead directed people to Hilton’s website to file a
complaint. The Beverly Hilton hasn’t responded to either story as of yet!
Jay-Z “Deeply Disappointed” By Rihanna,
Brown Collaborations
It doesn’t sound like Jay-Z is going to be spending much time listening to
Chris Brown and Rihanna’s two new singles. RadarOnline.com is citing a source
who says the rap superstar is “deeply disappointed” that the two have decided to
work together. The insider says Jay was “disgusted” by Brown’s behavior back in
2009, and has no idea why “Rihanna is doing the things she is doing.” Rihanna
and Jay-Z’s relationship dates back several years. He signed her to Def Jam in
2005, and appeared on her hit single “Umbrella” in 2007.
Rihanna and Chris Brown made headlines earlier this week when they released
their collaborations “Birthday Cake” and “Turn Up the Music.” It’s also been
rumored recently that they’ve been growing closer on a personal level. Rihanna

Bill Maher Donates $1M to Obama’s
SuperPAC
At the close of Bill Maher’s comedy special “CrazyStupidPolitics: Live
from Silicon Valley” Thursday night, which streamed live on Yahoo, the comedian
brought out a check and pledged a personal donation of $1 million dollars to
President Obama’s SuperPAC, Priorities USA Action, reports
Deadline.com.
According to his longtime publicist Sarah Fuller, he explained
that having a country governed by Barack Obama rather than any of the Republican
candidates is “worth a million dollars” and said “this is the wisest investment
I think I could make.”
He also encouraged other wealthy liberals like himself to do the same.
Maher’s pledge comes at a time when Hollywood financial support for President
Obama’s re-election has been ebbing rather than flowing, according to
Deadline.
Maher’s longrunning HBO show, “Real Time With Bill Maher,” is
currently in its 10th season. In his nearly 20 years hosting political talk
shows, Maher has earned 27 Emmy nominations but has never won in what is the
longest such losing streak on record.
IS OUTKAST FINISHED?
Antwan “Big Boi” Patton and his homie Andre 3000 Benjamin, aka the
legendary duo known OUTKAST, have been toying with fans for years now as we
patiently wait for another classic Outkast album.
Dre recently spoke with GQ
about his new “Masters of Style” Gillette sponsorship, and of course the
unavoidable question regarding an Outkast reunion was asked.
Here’s what Dre had to say about it:
There’s been a lot of talk on the
Internet about an OutKast album and I have to say that as of now, there are no
plans for another OutKast album. There’s a lot of music on the horizon. I’ve
been living off the excitement of new artists.
I’ve been privileged to have
these new artists kind of reach out and grab back and say, “Hey, Andre, we want
you on this song.” So I’ve been taking those calls and for the last two years,
I’ve been doing collaborations. So these new artists have kind of been keeping
me alive.
I’ve just really been feeding off of that and this year I think I’m
planning to do a solo project. I don’t know when it will come out, but hopefully
it’ll come out this year. As far as OutKast, I really don’t know if or when that
will happen.

“Outkast” is up in

Limp Bizkit Signs To Cash Money Records :
Wayne Says Ashanti Signing Next
Limp Bizkit is joining the ranks of Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake and more
as the newest addition to the Cash Money family. Frontman Fred Durst recently
took to Twitter to confirm reports he and the band have been signed to the
record label founded by current co-CEOs Ronald “Slim” Williams and Bryan
“Birdman” Williams. In a subsequent press release, Durst says Cash Money is
“without a doubt” at the top of its game, adding that he was most attracted to
their family atmosphere. On the label’s behalf, Birdman says they’ve always
admired Limp Bizkit’s blend of rock and hip-hop and says they’re looking forward
to the unique sound the band will bring to the label.
Meanwhile, fans shouldn’t have to wait long to hear the Cash Money version
of Limp Bizkit. The band is reportedly working with Birdman at Miami’s famed Hit
Factory studio on what would serve as the follow-up to last year’s “Gold
Cobra.”
VH1 reports another exciting piece of news came as Lil Wayne also
revealed that Ashanti might be joining the Cash Money family. Yep, so you won’t
ever have to say things like, “What ever happened to Ashanti?” or, “I miss
Ashanti” or, “What’s Luv?” ever again. We’d love to see the diva with some of
her own new tracks and yep, in one of the roles we love her best for: super
