Dionne Warwick Says Claims That Her Sister Molested Whitney Houston Are Absolutely Untrue: It’s Something I Will Never Forgive!😲

Back in August 2018, fans of the late Whitney Houston were absolutely shocked by claims that she was molested by her cousin Dee Dee when she was young. Dee Dee is the sister of legendary singer Dionne Warwick, who immediately shut down the allegations. Now, almost a year later, Warwick is taking a hard stance on those who accused her sister, saying she will “never forgive” them.

In a new interview, Dionne Warwick, 78, addressed the allegations that her sister Dee Dee molested her niece Whitney Houston when she was young. The claims were initially made public by Houston’s former assistant Marie Jones in the Houston documentary Whitney that was released last year. At the time, Warwick furiously shot down the allegations—and still feels the same way now

While promoting her new album She’s Back, Warwick got emotional discussing the molestation allegations against her sister, who passed away in 2008. She admits it still angers and saddens her that such damning allegations were aimed at her sister.

Warwick said this of the allegations:

“All I can say about Dee Dee is that she was a loving, caring, giving person. What was depicted of her is absolutely untrue and something I will never forgive.”

When the Whitney documentary was released, the singer’s mother, Cissy Houston, also supported Warwick, via statement, in slamming the accusations that Houston was molested by Dee Dee:

“We cannot reconcile the Public’s need to know about Whitney’s life as justification for invasion of her privacy or the charge against Dee Dee, a charge which neither Whitney nor Dee Dee is here to deny, refute or affirm. Neither I, Dionne, nor my son Michael who was very close to his sister, and in the film is VERY candid about their drug use, has ever heard these allegations; we have never heard anything remotely connected to the crimes charged against Dee Dee in the film.”

Dionne Warwick’s new album, She’s Back will be officially released on May 17th and she says the reason behind her return to music is simply the world’s current need for love. Warwick said,

“The world needs love. I hope they’re paying attention this time around. It’s time for that healing factor and it’s called love.”

Whitney Houston’s Mother Cissy Houston is Reportedly Diagnosed with Dementia!

Mother of the late singer Whitney Houston, Cissy Houston was recently diagnosed with early stages of dementia.

According to several sources, “She’s in the early stages of dementia… She repeats herself a lot and doesn’t remember what she says. She just says she’s getting old.”

The strain of the 84-year-old’s daughter Whitney and grand-daughter Bobby Kristina passing has been a huge factor in the decline of her health. The allegations of Whitney and her brother Gary being molested by their cousin Dee Dee Warwick also took a toll on Cissy. “The family is already fractured enough but she has had enough clarity to know what’s going on with these claims and is very upset,” the source said.

It’s reported earlier this week that Cissy disowned her son after the “Whitney” documentary in which he opened up about being molested. Gary said in the film that he was molested between the ages of 7-9 years old. He also added that he was violated by a female family member and that Whitney was too.

Warwick was 18 years older than Whitney and passed away in 2008. She often sang with Cissy gospel group Drinkard Singers and also back up to big names like Aretha Franklin.

Cissy Houston Addresses Whitney Houston Molestation Claims!

Whitney Houston’s mother Cissy Houston is taking issue with claims that her superstar daughter was molested as a child by her cousin, Dee Dee Warwick.

The accusations come from a new documentary, “Whitney,” which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival back in May, focused on the life of late pop star Whitney Houston. Cissy Houston, 84, told People magazine that she only found out about the claims two days before the film’s debut.

Cissy Houston denies that claim in a joint statement with her niece Dionne Warwick to People magazine.

“We cannot, however, overstate the shock and horror we feel and the difficulty we have believing that my niece Dee Dee Warwick (Dionne’s sister) molested two of my three children,” the statement read in part. “I spent many years in recording studios (sometimes with Dionne and/or Dee Dee) where I earned my living. I also went ‘on the road’ with my group The Sweet Inspirations to try to help provide a good life for my family BUT my children always came first in my heart and in my life.”

“When I was away they did not stay with four or five different families; they stayed at home where their longtime babysitter, Phyllis, or my dear friend Bae or their father took care of them. In all the years I traveled Dee Dee, who was 21 years older than Whitney, NEVER BABYSAT for them,” Cissy Houston and Dionne Warwick said in the statement.

“Dee Dee may have had her personal challenges but the idea that she would have molested my children is overwhelming and for us unfathomable,” the statement continued. “Neither I, Dionne, nor my son Michael who was very close to his sister, and in the film is VERY candid about their drug use, has ever heard these allegations; we have never heard anything remotely connected to the crimes charged against Dee Dee in the film. How can that be fair to my daughter, to Dee Dee, or to our family?”

The joint statement concluded, “After people have seen the film they will draw their own conclusions and we are not trying to change that. We just want people to know there is another side. While the filmmakers certainly had the legal right to make this film, I wonder at the moral right.”

At The Screening for the Documentary 'WHITNEY' Her long time Agent breaks their Silence!

The folks over at The Hollywood Reporter went inside a VIP screening of Kevin Macdonald's documentary hosted by Lena Waithe and Justin Simien and also attended by Donald Glover, Robert Pattinson and Tracee Ellis Ross.

Just as the credits started rolling, RuPaul Charles bolted for the exit to WME’s Beverly Hills screening room, too emotional to hang out in the lobby for the reception. Laverne Cox stayed but first had to run to the restroom to dry her eyes. Donald Glover, in gray sweatpants, hovered in a corner, sharing his reactions with screening hosts Lena Waithe and Justin Simien.

Filmmaker Kevin Macdonald’s Whitney documentary screened Friday night for the first time on the West Coast since its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival May 16, and despite the starry names in attendance — Robert Pattinson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Daniel Kaluuya, Lil Rel Howery, Tika Sumpter and EJ Johnson were also on hand — it felt less like a scene and more an experience. Like a cathartic therapy session.

“It was brilliant,” Lee Daniels told The Hollywood Reporter. "Because it was so personal.” Revelatory, too.

Macdonald, for the first time, uncovers through interviews with Houston's family members and inner circle that the superstar singer suffered sexual abuse when she was a child and that the perpetrator was female cousin Dee Dee Warwick. (She died in 2008.) The trauma of that mixed with family drama like her parents' respective affairs and divorce, a lesbian relationship with best friend Robyn Crawford that was never truly accepted by her church-going family, and a turbulent marriage to Bobby Brown all seemed to haunt Houston for most of her life, those close to her say.

The bombshells and the shade — Houston and her mother both dis performers Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul — have already garnered a fair share of headlines coming out of Cannes. Though it's nothing compared to the media's coverage of Houston's demons and downward spiral. But Simien says he only feels like leaning into her story more now after seeing the doc.

"Seeing the demons, it didn't make me want to distance myself from Whitney Houston, it made me love her more," Simien explained in the lobby afterwards. "Here you have folks that grew up with her; she means so much to us. A lot of us here are in the nexus of entertainment so we are understanding aspects of this film and her story on a personal level that we didn’t before. What’s so profound about it is that it’s not just about her, its about the bigger picture too. Everyone here is starving for that kind of content that tells the truth on a bigger scale. [The film] played amazingly well tonight."

This screening had the distinction for hosting some of the contributors who appear in the Roadside Attractions/Miramax release, many of whom were seeing it for the first time. Music producer, composer and author Rickey Minor, A&R veteran Joey Arbagey, writer Cinque Henderson, and former Brownstone executive (turned psychotherapist) Steve Lapuk. Waithe mentioned Minor in particular as he is the one in the film who addresses Houston's sexual fluidity.

"I love what Rickey Minor said about the fluidity. I just wish she had a freedom to explore who she was. I wish she didn’t think she had to hide. I wish we could’ve loved all of her and not just the pieces of her that made us feel comfortable," Waithe continued.

The film also addresses the tricky balancing act that Houston was forced to walk because of discrimination she faced, including from black audiences. (Reverend Al Sharpton led a boycott against the singer, calling her "Whitey Houston.") That, and her struggle with her own queerness, revelations which felt even more profound sitting in a theater with queer content creators like Waithe, RuPaul and Daniels, and creators like Glover. Each have contributed work about what it means to be black in America.

It’s said the film is "haunting" and "richly contextualized." "Without sensationalizing, the film lays all this out as an American tragedy, not of self-sabotage as some might glibly dismiss it, but the tale of a vulnerable woman never given the chance simply to figure out who she was. Whitney’s agent Nicole David told the filmmaker that she never really got the "why" of what happened to her despite the fact that she felt like she knew her so well. She also said "I was Whitney’s agent but I loved Whitney," David said the screening. "If I represent someone, I have to love them to do a good job. That’s why I was an agent. I was sick of having her be a tabloid sensation and always looking like this beautiful girl with a great voice that God gave everything to [who] just messed it all up and became a junkie. I thought that story was not true, and I knew there was a lot more."

David serves as an executive producer on the film and she teases that there's even more to Houston's story "than you've seen tonight." She credited Macdonald for piecing together a challenging puzzle by convincing many of Houston's family members to talk. He could not, however, convince Crawford to sit for an interview.

"I always knew that there was a pain in Whitney that I could not identify, which is part of the reason I worked with her. I saw fragility," David continued. "I feel I know many more facts now. Whitney’s soul I always knew. You know, some people you can look at for 20 years and they never let you see them, but she couldn’t help it. I saw her and I loved her. This gave me more facts, but it does not change how much I love her."

David also addressed the controversy surrounding Kanye West purchasing an image from Houston's drug- and trash-filled bathroom to put on the cover of rapper Pusha T's Daytona album cover. "It was tacky and thoughtless," she said. "With Kanye, I didn’t judge it too much. He is where he is in life, and he doesn’t need me to judge him because everybody is judging him, and I don’t know his story any more than people knew Whitney’s story."

Added Simien: "I don’t know what the intention in buying that photo was. It's an image I don’t need to see again. I know exactly what it conjures. Procuring that painful frame, I don’t know what the purpose behind that would be, for me in my life, but you know, we all participated. I feel this way about Whitney, I feel this way about Michael [Jackson] — we all participated to some degree.

He then mentioned a sketch that appears in the film from Saturday Night Live, one that is paired with another from American Dad, both of which took aim at Houston's substance abuse and which now are viewed through a different lens. Needless to say, no audience members laughed during the screening when those clips aired in the documentary. However, at least a dozen audience members laughed out loud with Houston's label boss, veteran music industry heavy weight L.A. Reid, insisted on camera that he did not know anything about her substance abuse problem despite the fact that she was under his employment at the time.

"I remember that sketch, I remember thinking in the back of my mind that none of the laughter would get to Whitney because she’s Whitney," Simien concluded. "We put these people in like a God-like place, and we think they’re impervious, but we’re complicit because we all consumed it."

When people consume this film, Simien said, he hopes that viewers take in the "bravura film making."

"The editing and the sound design and the way he culled his images," he explained. "He used images that are 'typical documentary' images, and I would never think to put those things together. He told us about her, he told us about her place in the culture, what she meant to blackness, what she meant to whiteness. But then it also told this very personal story. It's what we try to do on [Dear White People]: You try to tell a big story and a small story, and this wasn’t just a biopic, it also had the story of black entertainment and black culture. It is so profound."

Kanye West Spent $85,000 on Photo of Whitney Houston’s Atlanta Drug-Covered Bathroom for Pusha T's new Album!😲😒😡

On Tuesday, the “Power” rapper, 40, revealed the new cover art for Pusha T’s upcoming album DAYTONA – which West produced.

The new release’s cover features a contentious photograph of Whitney Houston‘s bathroom taken secretly by a family member in 2006 as the late singer struggled with drug addiction.

And, Pusha T has revealed the image cost West a lot of money.

The rapper told Entertainment Weekly on Thursday that the album art “definitely does match the energy of my album.”

“I feel like the cover represents an organized chaos. The energy of the album is a bit chaotic, but it’s all in place,” he continued. “Looks at that cover, I’m sure whoever frequents that bathroom or area knew whatever they wanted to find and knew where it was.

Pusha T, 41, appeared on The Angie Martinez Show on Wednesday to promote his album, which comes out Friday and revealed West had called him with last minute changes to the album cover’s artwork.

“He changed my artwork last night at 1 a.m. He wasn’t feeling it,” the rapper told radio host Angie Martinez. “[Originally], the artwork — it was pictures that we all agreed on.”

“He picked the photographer, I took these pictures, I was like, ‘Yo, these are fresh.’ I picked all of these pictures out, he had a little edit to it, how he wanted the actual grading of the picture to look. Picked the picture, great, we look, boom, boom, boom, it’s good.”

Despite their agreement on the artwork, Pusha T said that all changed when West called him in the early morning hours.

“One a.m., my phone rings. No caller ID. [He says,] ‘Hey, yeah, I think we should change the artwork. And I like this other artwork. And this other artwork is 85 grand,'” he recalled.

“I said, ‘Hey, I don’t want to pay for that and I wasn’t even going to ask you to pay for that. We picked what we picked, it’s here, it’s ready,'” he continued, adding West told him, “‘No, this is what people need to see to go along with this music. Imma pay for that.’ I say, ‘You my man! You my man!'”

The “Mercy” rapper said that while the change began as a surprise to him, he quickly took to West’s idea.

“I love it, I actually do love it. [But] I absolutely did not want to pay for it,” he said, laughing.

In 2006, the National Enquirer featured the photo showing Houston’s bathroom filled with drug-covered spoons and drug paraphernalia on its cover.

It is understood West paid to license the photograph but it is not clear if he paid the Enquirer or Houston’s sister-in-law Tina Brown, sister of the singer’s ex-husband Bobby.

Houston was found dead in a bathtub at The Beverly Hilton hotel in 2012. The icon’s death was ruled an accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use also to blame. In August 2012, her autopsy stated she also had marijuana, Xanax, Benadryl and other medication in her system.

On Thursday, West thanked fans on Twitter for their support on DAYTONA, tweeting, “Daytona is the first project out of Wyoming. I’m really proud of what we put together.”

“We’ve spent a year and a half digging for samples and writing,” he continued. “I really appreciate the overwhelmingly positive response that we’ve been receiving. 🙏🙏🙏.”

I’m sorry this has got to be the lowest of the lows and Kanye obviously has lost all respect from me. I don’t care about any ‘artistic’ anything. Good luck Pusha T I don’t see a platinum disc in your future from this project!

Get Your Coins Ready … Whitney Houston’s Wedding Dress, Passport, Awards & More Going Up For Auction!

Some of the late Whitney Houston’s most treasured items will be going up for auction later this month, including her “one-of-a-kind Marc Bouwer-designed wedding dress. So we advise you get your moneys in order.

On June 24 and 25, Heritage Auctions will be auctioning off some of Houston’s personal items most never dreamed of getting their hands on.

According to the website, not only will they auction off the dress the late singer wore when exchanging vows with Bobby Brown, but they will be selling a number of awards, jewelry, old debit cards and even her 1985 passport and 1989 Japanese work visa.

How much would you pay for some of the legendary singer’s items? All we can say is that’s going to be one hell of an auction.

Houston died on February 1. I feel some kind of way of auctioning her awards. Is this  money issue? What say Ye?

Mariah Carey REVEALS Next Single "You're Mine (Eternal)"

Just in time for Valentine's Day....

Mariah Carey is gearing up for a new album and we have deets about the first single. 

Mariah Carey plans to release her next single in two days. The announcement came via Instagram where Mimi posted the V-Day candy themed artwork for the single “You’re Mine (Eternal),” which will premiere on Wednesday, February 12. She debuted the song over the weekend at the taping of the BET Honors.

The track will appear on her follow-up to 2009′s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, which will hit stores on May 6.  Wale, Nas, Rick Ross, Hit-Boy, Mike WiLL Made-It, and Jermaine Dupri (also the executive producer) will all appear on the album.

In other Mariah news, she and Nick Cannon have put their Bel Air mansion on the market for $12.99 million. The 11,750-square-foot home has seven bathrooms and nine bathrooms.  Looks like they're making a move either back to NYC fully...or an even bigger mansion in Cali.

Dr. Dre Sues Death Row Records For $3 Million In Back Royalties

Dr. Dre helped make Death Row Records a household name in the early 1990s, but left the label amid some controversy to form his own. Now, the producer and business mogul is suing his former recording home for $3 million.

Radar Online got an exclusive peek at the court records filed early last December by Dr. Dre, born Andrew Young, against Marion “Suge” Knight's label. In total, the good doctor is seeking just a shade over $3 million in unpaid royalties and digital sales. Radar Online has more.

The “Nuthin' but a ‘G' Thang” singer said the number comes from unpaid amounts of $676,444.44 for unpaid mechanical royalties; $1,200,386.57 in unpaid artist-producer royalties; and $1,179,913 in digital sales he has yet to collect on. (The third total stems from a judge's suggestion to the artist after he lost a 2010 trademark infringement suit.)

In legal docs, the Compton native, 48, also alludes to a discrepancy in the payments he received from the company, as he said they have yet to honor a bonus that would jump his revenues from Death Row Album sales from 18 percent to 20.

Knigh, who lost the rap label in 2006 due to bankruptcy, is currently embroiled in other legal struggle, this after he allegedly threatened an employee at a medical marijuana dispensary in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Model Tyson Beckford Is Not A Fan of Pharrell’s Hat, Throws Slight Shade

Pharrell is truly winning this year with his Grammys and now being nominated for an Oscar for the Despicable Me 2 Soundtrack, so  you would expect people to be happy for him right? Well, Pharrell Williams and G-Star Raw celebrated a partnership in which the denim company will manufacture clothing with Bionic Yarn, a textile that includes recycled plastic bottles, in a project meant to help clean up the world’s oceans.

Tyson Beckford was also in attendance for the cause stating “For somebody like me that eats primarily just fish, it’s very important that we keep the ocean clean,” he said. “Future generations are going to need it.”

The model/actor felt like showing support and throwing shade. Beckford also says he wasn’t “a fan” of Pharrell’s now-iconic Grammy hat during the launch for Williams’ and Bionic Yarn’s latest collaboration with G-Star Raw, “Raw for the Oceans.”

“Me and my boy, we were having a discussion in the Jeep on the way up here and we were saying, ‘I hope he ain’t got on that hat,’” Beckford told New York Magazine. “It’s not conducive to fashion. I don’t know where he got that. Someone told me it’s, like, [from] back in the eighties, Neneh Cherry. Buffalo Girl, or whatever. But, no.”

The actor then went on to say that he himself has tried a few bold looks in the recent past.

“I just started wearing these crazy floral pants by Alexander Nash,” he stated. “I like taking chances, but not with hats. I’m not a big hat person. Now, if I had a hat like that, would you date me? No, you wouldn’t. You walk into a bar and I got that on? That’s definitely gonna cause a bar fight. And you better be able to protect me”

I really can’t stand when people give backhanded comments, but Tyson has always rubbed me the wrong way and to the throw shade on a man who is winning shows alot about him. Yes alot of people are not fans of Pharrell’s hat, but see he doesn’t give a damn… Period… Pharrell beats to his own tune so what! I guarantee you he probably wouldn’t even mention the fact of not liking his hat…  But whatever…

Carey wants to help Bobbi Kristina Brown follow in her mother Whitney Houston's footsteps

Two years since Whitney Houston's death, her friends are rallying together to help her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown continue the singer's legacy.

Reports emerged on Tuesday that the 20-year-old was being taken under the wing of her late mother's famous friends Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson.

Both the Hero star and the former American idol judge were close with the singer - who died February 2012 - and are keen to help her only daughter realise her dreams of being a singer.

The 20-year-old is, of course, blessed with musical genes - she is also the daughter of RNB star Bobby Brown - and has been singing since a young age.

A source told Radar Online: 'Mariah and Randy were close friends of Whitney's and were heartbroken after she died suddenly in 2012. They kept in touch.'

Randy, the source said, is leading the charge to get Bobbi Kristina into the music industry: 'Now Randy has decided he wants to make a full court press to help Bobbi Kristina become a star - and Mariah told him she wanted in, too.

'Mariah would love to step in and provide mentoring to [Bobbi Kristina]  because she and Randy have been so close and even worked together on last season's American Idol'.'

Of course Bobbi - who recently married Whitney's ward Nick Gordan, who many believed to be her brother until recently - will have some of music's top brains at her disposal if she wants to move forward.

'They have years of music experience between them and will share all their knowledge with Bobbi Kristina.

'Randy wants to move quickly and is presenting a plan for the potential star that gets her on the pop charts in under 12 months.'

The young woman is, quite rightly so, nervous about moving forward.

While her mother's talent brought her fame and money, it also brought a lot of tragedy into their lives.

Whitney - who was 48 when she died - had a notoriously rocky marriage, allegedly marred with violence, with Bobbi Kristina's father and the couple struggled with drug dependency throughout their careers.

The pop star sold 200 million albums world-wide prior to her drowning death at the Beverly Hilton on February 11.

The source added to Radar Online: 'For her part, Bobbi Kristina is being extremely careful about her first steps into the pop singing world.

'She wants to be a singing star just like her mom, but she wants to be really careful about how she does it. Bobbi Kristina understands how important first impressions are when you release music.'
