Rihanna Talks Her Style & More With VOGUE: “I’d Never Want To Dress Anyone Exactly Like Me. I Just Want You To Be You With Some Rihanna Inspiration.”

Rihanna stars as cover girl for VOGUE’s March 2014 issue. The Barbadian bombshell rocks the pages of the magazine in pieces from Versace, Tom Ford, and Alexander McQueen. Inside, she talks her hair, and also dishes on her style and using Instagram to keep fans posted on what’s going on in her world… plus more.

On her hair:

It’s not my hair, but the girl who donated it, she’s the bomb. Black girls never let anyone see this. [she pulls apart the locks at the back of her head to show me the intricate workings of the false hair, which is woven into a net attached to her own.] I have two main hair people I work with. They’re always with me. I’m like, ‘I’m bored! I wanna change my hair!’ That’s the good thing about a weave. You can do whatever with it.

On her style:

I’d never want to dress anyone exactly like me. I just want you to be you with some Rihanna inspiration. Girl! You need to be sassified!!!

Boom! Oversize jacket! It’s fierce. This is dope leather. More than anything, I like a jacket. You can do anything with a great jacket, the bigger the better. You can have any silhouette underneath. It gives you an attitude. It makes a gown look cool. I love baggy things. I wear men’s clothes, men’s shoes, oxfords, creepers.

On her jewelry:

My jewelry’s all fake—from Claire’s. Or I get it from my mom’s boutique in Barbados. Her shop’s called FAB-U-LUS.

On enduring with the pain of heels to maintain her look:

I can dance in them [referring to her four-inch pointy-heeled Saint Laurent black suede booties with leather ties wrapped around her ankles]. It’s not about pain. It’s about the commitment. I say to myself, ‘I want to look like this,’ and worry about the pain later. I’ve had nights I had to tiptoe home and the balls of my feet wouldn’t even allow me to stand.

On keeping fans posted with Instagram:

Instagram is my way of communicating to the world. When I’m on tour, I keep fans in the loop. I don’t really think about it too much. Literally, I can be sitting in a car and be bored, so I do a selfie just because I’m bored. Or if my dog is running around in circles and I think that’s funny, I put it on Instagram.

Pizza Hut District Manager Fired After Peeing In Kitchen Sink [PHOTOS]

If you had a reason or three not to eat at your local Pizza Hut, the fact that their employees could be urinating where the food is prepared may give you one more reason to take your lunch money elsewhere.

A West Virginia Pizza Hut district manager was fired after security cameras caught him raining golden showers in his store's dishwashing sink. And wouldn't you know it, he didn't even wash his hands.

Reports WTRF:

The video recorded a few weeks ago shows a man walking over to the deep sink and urinating in it. The same sink used to wash kitchen utensils and supplies. The Pizza Hut Corporation has confirmed the man in the video is a Pizza Hut District Manager.

In a written statement Pizza Hut said:

"First of all, we are embarrassed by the actions of this individual. Pizza Hut has zero tolerance for violations of our operating standards, and the local owner of the restaurant took immediate action and terminated the employee involved. While the isolated incident occurred during non-business hours and did not involve any food tampering, we follow strict safety and handling procedures and the restaurant has since been closed. We apologize to our customers of Kermit, West Virginia and those in our system who have been let down by this situation."

"Made me sick out of my stomach to think that I ever ate there and that happened," Tracy Johnson of Mingo County. "But I will never go there and eat again."

And she most likely won't have to.

The Mingo County Health Department and the city's sanitarian Brett Vance gave the place a temporary yet indefinite shutdown.

If district managers are pulling these stunts (and their peckers) when no one is looking, what is the high school-aged cashier up to?

On second thought, don't answer that.

Beyonce Takes Over The BRIT Awards Stage With "XO": Watch Now!

Returning to the BRIT Awards stage for the first time in a decade, Beyonce Knowles gave a captivating performance of "XO" this evening (February 19).

The 32-year-old singer donned a stunning, sparkling gown as she belted out her lyrics and surrounding herself with video screens of pink fireworks inside the O2 Arena.

There's already been a number of big winners this evening including Ellie Goulding taking home British Solo Artist and Arctic Monkey scored Best British Group.

 

In addition, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars (also a winner this evening) took to the stage for awesome performances.

Ashanti’s Sister Shia Douglas LAUNCHES “Presidential Dymes”

Singer and actress Ashanti, who'll release her Braveheart album on March 4th, was spotted at the "Presidential Dymes" launch.  She walked the red carpet with recording artist Daley.

The "Presidential Dymes" clothing line is the brainchild of Ashanti's younger sister Shia (shown atop with her mom Tina). The “Dymes Only” collection is comprised of tees, sweats and a number of trendy pieces.

The event was sponsored by Beautiful Textures, Blink Cosmetics, Twenty Grand Vodka and Ciroc Vodka and curated by Mecca Moore & Meeka Claxton of Pynk Magazine and Tola Lawal of SixOne7Creative.

Maino & Juelz Santana were also there.

Generation Gap: Parents Are Demanding @MileyCyrus Cancel’s Tour!

Uh Oh! It looks like our ‘sista’ Miley Cyrus, who apparently has been grandfathered into the hip-hop realm, has gone too far. And some are demanding her tour be cancelled.

I like Miley. I dont listen to her music, but whenever a track comes off –whenever Im around when it does– Im never mad at her records. And her off the stage antics of a twenty something are reminiscent of my own once misguided youth.

But it seems some of us have forgotten their youth roots. And are insisting the Disney star get off the road with her music.

Parents are complaining to Miley’s mgmt over Cyrus’ marijuana covered body suit, riding a hot dog, pretending to give oral sex to a man in a Bill Clinton mask, basically pleasuring herself on top of a car and of course, twerking, etc.

Her management team, record label and tour staff – which includes the director, costume department and choreographers – have all been called in for an emergency meeting because of the amount of people who want to pull she show.

One parent has even contacted the boss at Miley’s label, Interscope, saying that they had to walk out of the show way before it ended. They claimed that they would “not subject their nine-year-old to a porn show.” The tour has no age limit or rating guide, the only rule is that children are only allowed to attend if a parent accompanies them.

So far Miley seems to have a ‘kick rocks’ attitude over the uproar.

Mercury News reports that Miley spoke about the tour in in a recent press teleconference saying, “I make my albums to be able to travel and to be able to go on the road. That’s really kind of what I love to do more than anything.”

She then went on to explain how she didn’t want to give away any surprises about the tour because “nothing in her life is ever a secret.” Her goal is to just keep the show really fun. “That’s what I think I’m kind of representing more than anything in the past year,” she said. “Fun and [being] carefree, and that’s what the show represents.”

If there’s ever going to be a pop star then there’s always going to be disgruntled parents. Parents need to realize that they can’t shield their kids from the ways of the world. But they can offer COMMUNICATION, which can provide a context.

Georgia Unveils Confederate Flag License Plate, Angers Activists [PHOTO]

The state of Georgia has issued a new license plate that has riled up some citizens given the use of the controversial Confederate Flag. Considering the flag's infamous history as an image of oppression and racism, civil rights activists have cried out in protest of the license plate.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the state issued the license plate has already drawn a line in the sand between supporters who say the Confederate Flag honors the state's past legacy, and Black citizens who recall the sting of segregation and Jim Crow laws. The Journal-Constitution has more.

From the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

The new specialty tag has stirred a clash between those who believe the battle flag honors Confederate heritage and those, particularly African-Americans, who view it as a racially charged symbol of oppression.

A spokesman for the Southern Christian Leadership Conference said Tuesday that the state should not have sanctioned the battle emblem to appear on a Georgia tag.

“To display this is reprehensible,” said Maynard Eaton. “We don't have license plates saying ‘Black Power.'”

The Georgia Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, the group that applied for the Confederate Flag plate, say they didn't mean to offend their opponents. According to a spokesperson for the group, the The Motor Vehicle Division of the state's Department of Revenue had to honor the request but doesn't see it as an endorsement from the state.

More surprisingly, governor Nathan Deal said he hadn't heard about the Confederate Flag tag beforehand. Still, the Sons of Confederate Veterans will reap some benefit should the plate sell well. For every $80 spent, the group will earn $10 back.

Wonder what Kanye West would think about all of this.

Pharrell Announces ‘G I R L’ Album, Reveals Cover and Release Date

Surprise Surprise, Pharrell Williams has announced the release of his highly anticipated sophomore album titled G I R L and it hits stores as soon as March 3rd.

It’s no secret the fact that he was crafting an album, which will serve as his first under new label Columbia/Sony Music, which is already up for pre-order on iTunes but without a track list for now.

Lupita Nyong’o Steps Out For DuJour Magazine Cover Party

Stepping out for an evening of fun, Lupita Nyong'o made a special appearance at DuJour magazine's latest issue party in New York City

The "12 Years a Slave" beauty donned a green-patterned dress with matching heels as she smiled and posed for the shutterbugs on the red carpet.

During a recent interview, Miss Nyong'o announced she was ready for some normalcy following her outstanding performance in the award-winning film.

"I have a very ostrich mentality," Lupita explained. "I feel like I have my head in the sand so no one can see me."

Also discussing the nerve-wrecking events she experienced over the past few months the 30-year-old actress stated, "The Hollywood Film Awards were really stressful. It was the biggest press line I'd ever seen."

"It was difficult to orient myself, but there are familiar faces now, so it becomes less daunting," she added.

As if he doesn’t do enough: The Tyler Perry Show Announced

Tyler Perry’s hustle continues. On Tuesday (February 18th), the 44-year-old writer/producer/actor announced his latest venture, the Tyler Perry Show. He shared the photo above, with the simple caption:

Look what I’m working on. Coming on next Tuesday after The Haves And The Have Nots, only on OWN.

No confirmation or addition details have been released, but fans are speculating their either a talk show or game show is in the works.

This fall, his new show on OWN, Single Moms Club, airs. Here’s the network’s description:

Brought together by an incident at their children’s school, a group of single mothers from different walks of life bond and create a support group that helps them find comedy in the obstacles of life, and inner strength to overcome their personal challenges. Tyler Perry’s Single Moms Club is written, produced and directed by Tyler Perry and is produced by Tyler Perry Studios.

The actual film, which the TV series will based on, hits theaters next month and stars Nia Long, Amy Smart, Cocoa Brown, Terry Crews, William Levy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ryan Eggold, Zulay Henao and Tyler Perry.

After T.I. hosted a party in New Orleans Saturday night with Miguel for the 2014 NBA All-Star weekend, he snapped a pic showing off his flossy gear.  And seemed to send a subtle shot to his wife Tameka "Tiny" Harris saying:

We hear Follies is a hole-in-the-wall ratchet type of strip club (probably Tiny's favorite).  But she was determined to show off just how much fun she could have without her husband:

IT’S OFFICIAL US Airways and American has MERGED!

American Airlines emerged from bankruptcy protection and US Airways culminated its long pursuit of a merger partner as the two completed their deal Monday to create the world's biggest airline.

It's the latest in a series of mergers that will leave four airlines controlling more than 80 percent of the U.S. air-travel market. With less competition, the airlines have successfully limited the number of seats, boosting prices and returning to profitability.

American's old parent, AMR Corp., is gone, replaced by the new American Airlines Group Inc. CEO Doug Parker remotely rang the opening bell of the Nasdaq Stock Market, flanked on stage by executives and labor leaders of both airlines and in front of a crowd of cheering employees.

"Our goal here is to go and restore American Airlines to its position as the greatest airline in the world," Parker said. The largest airline as recently as 2008, American struggled through a decade of huge losses and fell behind United and Delta in size.

For passengers, the merger won't mean many immediate changes. Whether the deal leads to higher ticket prices, the issue at the heart of legal challenges from the government and consumer groups, remains to be seen.

Parker dismissed the notion that fewer airlines will lead to higher airfares because, he said, the new American plans to keep all the service currently offered by American and US Airways.

"Airline prices are like prices in other businesses -- they track with supply and demand, and we're not reducing any of the supply," he said in an interview with The Associated Press.

Elite members of the two frequent-flier programs will get reciprocal benefits in early January, with other changes being phased in, executives said. The airlines expect to soon be able to book passengers on each other's flights, increasing the destinations available to customers of both.

It will take about two years to combine American's fleet and workforce with those of US Airways, Parker said. US Airways will join Continental, Northwest and other airlines that now exist only in the memories of employees and longtime travelers.

Airline mergers are notoriously troublesome. United has been plagued by computer-network problems since combining with Continental, leading to outages and flight delays. Airlines' technology systems handle everything from passenger information to weight and balance calculations on every flight. Then there is the difficulty in merging two sets of employees who, in this case, are represented by different unions. US Airways has been down that path before -- it still hasn't fully integrated pilot crews since its merger with America West, and that deal closed in 2005.

Unions at American received Parker like a conquering hero. Their support for a merger led by US Airways executives was a turning point when AMR CEO Tom Horton still hoped to keep his airline independent. For their efforts, the unions won stock in the new company.

On Monday, Parker made symbolic moves to extend a hand to labor -- painting over parking spaces once reserved for executives, and asking Nasdaq to inscribe a commemorative opening bell to the employees instead of to him. Still, the honeymoon could be a short one.

"His greatest challenge is keeping positive sentiment on his side," said Vicki Bryan, an analyst with bond-research firm Gimme Credit. "He's at the peak of 'happy' right now. He's got to keep the unions happy; he's got to keep the computers running; he's got to keep the balloon in the air."

In morning trading, new shares of American Airlines Group -- traded under ticker symbol AAL -- were up 45 cents to $24.55.

Michelle Obama dazzled in an emerald green custom Marchesa gown as the ‘Piano Man,’ Billy Joel, was awarded the nation’s highest honor in Washington Sunday for influencing American culture through the arts. Joel, one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time with such hits as ‘Just the Way You Are,’ ‘Uptown Girl’ and ‘Allentown’ joined Carlos Santana, Herbie Hancock, opera star Martina Arroyo and actress Shirley MacLaine in receiving the Kennedy Center Honors in a star-studded event at the White House.

All of them have been playing music, dancing or singing since they were children and Joel said the honor stands apart from his six Grammys.

AFI Announces Top 10 Films And TV Shows

Honoring the best and brightest on screen this year, the American Film Institute announced its movie and television winners for the annual awards.

Determined by a jury of AFI members, scholars, film and television artists, critics, and AFI trustees, the ten film honorees are "American Hustle," "Captain Phillips," "Fruitvale Station," "Gravity," "Her," "Inside Llewyn Davis," "Nebraska," "Saving Mr. Banks," "12 Years a Slave," and "The Wolf of Wall Street."

According to the organization, the AFI awards feature films and shows "which best advance the art of the moving image, enhance the rich cultural heritage of America's art form, inspire audiences and artists alike and/or make a mark on American society."

Nicki Minaj Celebrates 31st Birthday With Pink Lamborghini & Boob Cake

Nicki Minaj is not one to short her audience when it comes to theatrics so it comes as no surprise that her birthday party was a pure spectacle.

In a good way.

The Pink Friday starlet never squanders an opportunity to put her favorite color on display and she arrived to her 31st birthday party (which tripled as a promotional event) in a pink Lamborghini Aventador, driven by her struggle sidepiece, Scaff Breezy.

Decked out in Chanel, Alexander McQueen and most likely ripe with her own personal fragrance, Minajesty, Nicki flaunted her curvaceous figure for cameras as guests sipped on Myx Moscato, with whom she's currently a brand ambassador for.

Of course it's not a birthday without a cake and Nicki's club went extra sweet on her, supplying three delicacies for her born day dedication. The first one came in the form of a designer box with "Nicki & Co." scribed in chocolate icing. The second was layered in pink icing and shaped as microphone with "Happy Birthday to the most talented woman on the planet" beautifully written in cursive.

As for the third, Nicki loves her boobs and that's what partygoers at that night, as a completely NSFW image was plastered on the top. No doubt it was...tasty. Just saying.

Her gift was the real treat, however. Nicki took to The 'Gram to show off her new stripper pole, regrettably saying "That awkward moment when u get a stripper pole for your birthday."

GIVING BACK: Ne-Yo WELCOMES you To The Compound & The Boys And Girls Club HOLIDAY Giveaway

Ne-Yo (posing above with Monyetta Shaw and their kids Madilyn Grace Smith and Mason Evan Smith) was a Do Gooder along with the Boys & Girls Club of America.  He and his celeb friends had an evening of giving that touched the lives of nearly 500 underprivileged children.

During the event, Ne-Yo, whose Compound Foundation has been a longtime partner with Boys & Girls Club, was presented with an award from Toys For Tots by the US Marines.

Ne-Yo's mom, Loraine Smith, oversees the Compound Foundation. 

He recently spoke about his mom, revealing how she inspired his sense of giving.

"She is the person who taught me if you are given blessings you can be a blessing to someone else, and if you can help – you help. It’s not about cameras flashing or someone patting you on the back, it’s not about what you get in return, it’s simply about helping because it’s the right thing to do."

Awww.

Atlanta celebs came out to support, including Bobby V and RHOA star Kandi Burruss.

Keshia Knight Pulliam was also on hand to sign autographs and spread holiday cheer.

During a recent interview, Ne-Yo was asked about his rewarding work with the organization, "Just the looks on the kids’ faces and knowing that I have given a kid who didn’t have a reason to smile, a reason to smile."

Author and former reality tv star Toya Wright was also a part of the event.   She had her daughter Reginae Carter there too.

Toya joined Monyetta to help pass out gifts.

Eva Marcille, Kevin McCall & Friends Throw Baby Shower, Reveals Baby’s Name

Over the week, mommy-to-be and America’s Next Top Model alum Eva Marcille and  boyfriend singer/songwriter Kevin McCall had a baby shower for their bundle of joy. Back in August,  we reported the two were expecting and now the baby is almost here. Kevin and Eva celebrated the pink themed shower with family and friends, and they also revealed the baby girl’s name is Marley. Throughout the night, the couple took pictures, shared some laughs, and Kevin wore Eva’s belly cast which displayed Marley’s name. Eva’s cousin, makeup artist (and Tamar Braxton’s Creative Director) Terrell Mullins was in attendance, along with model Natasha Ellie, and friend Leslie Rosales. The two have been dating since the beginning of this year, and this will be their first child together. Kevin has a child from a previous relationship. Peep pics below.

Naughty Rita Ora Sits On Santa's Lap To Promote Her Material Girl Holiday Collection

Hoping for big holiday sales, Rita Ora helped launch the Material Girl Holiday Collection at Macy's in New York City on Monday (December 9).

Dressed in all black, the "Hot Right Now" singer wore a studded leather jacket and heels as she posed for photos on Santa's lap.

Sharing some snapshots of her own on Twitter, the 23-year-old star tweeted, "The moment he realised I'm being Naughty. But he liked it!! Haaaa," and "Don't tell Mrs Claus."

As for her music career, Rita recently told The Sun that she'll be collaborating with Prince on her upcoming album, sharing, "We messed around with some music together and you know, I can't believe he can play so many instruments. All I can say is we've definitely done some music together.”
