“Maleficent” American & French Promo Posters Released: Check Them Out!
The countdown is on for Disney’s forthcoming flick “Maleficent,” and there’s a pair of new posters for both American and French audiences.
Featuring star Angelina Jolie, the new artwork includes a more colorful depiction of Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning) ahead of the May 30th release date.
Per the synopsis, “Maleficent explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone.”
“Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.”
Ashanti FACETIMES WITH NELLY...During Her ATL Album Release Party!
Well isn't this interesting! We had to do a double take while checking out pics of Ashanti at her album release party at Prive in Atlanta. Because there was a reason (this time) why she was cheesing so hard. While flashing her phone toward the cameras DURING the party....her (ex?) boo Nelly was on Facetime!
Yep, that's Nelly joining Ashanti's album release party via Facetime!
At Prive, the "I Got It" singer celebrated her brand new Braveheart album. And while she and Nelly are supposedly broken up....and he has been dating actress/model Tae Heckard for a while (until recently apparently)....it didn't stop her from letting him celebrate her big night!
Nelly was the inspiration behind at least a few of her new songs, like her upcoming single "Real First Love".
'Shanti was spotted cheesin' hard while being all into her phone. And once she turned her phone toward the cameras, we learned why. Mmmhmm.
She spent the evening partying in her sexy dress and with a yummy cake.

20 Negative Reactions To Minnesota Politician's Racist NBA Tweet
Twitter and politics don't mix like the majority of things and politics and Minnesota State Rep. Pat Garofalo is learning the hard way for a stereotypical tweet aimed at a chunk of the NBA's player personnel.
During yesterday's match-ups, which featured five games from around the league, Garofalo distastefully expressed on his Twitter account with a statement that read: "Let's be honest, 70% of teams in NBA could fold tomorrow + nobody would notice a difference w/ possible exception of increase in streetcrime."
Fox Sports pointed out that the struggle tweets weren't uncharacteristic of the Republican politician's thought process who had previously said "How about a New ESPN channel that covers all sports except the NBA. Joke players. Joke teams. Joke league" in April 2013 and " NBA Draft? Ask me if I care." during the day of last year's draft.

The swift rebuttal was followed by an apology after Garofalo noticed that his mentions had an all-time activity but the damage was all but permanent.

Earlier this week the child support order for Mathew Knowles’ 3-year-old son Nixon was slashed from $12k a month down to $2,400 a month. Now, in a shocking new twist, Mathew Knowles won’t have to pay ANY child support for the next two years.
Womp, womp: Sources tell Radar Online the court ruled Mathew Knowles’ child support order reduction retro-active as of February 20 of last year, making Mathew paid in full until nearly 2016.

Fans first began noticing something was wrong when Tank and Ginuwine began touring without Tyrese back in December.
Then last month the group canceled on Arsenio Hall at the very last minute causing a very awkward live segment because it was a specially arranged female only audience just for TGT.
Witnesses claim off camera Arsenio was furious and admitted to the studio audience that TGT weren't getting along.

March 2014 Vogue Italia Features White Model In Tribal Blackface [PHOTOS]
Vogue Italia obviously likes stirring up controversy for the sake of being European and avant-garde, and their latest photo shoot which depicts white models in tribal-inspired blackface has no qualms in crossing the line.
The March 2014 issue features Dutch model Saskia de Brauw in a spread titled "Abracadabra" that blatantly mocks African culture by posing with blank stares, nestled up against taxideremed lions and goats and boars.

Back in January, the magazine stirred controversy for segregating its street style photos, and now Vogue Italia is getting major backlash for publishing a spread titled "Abracadabra" in its March 2014 issue. The photos feature Dutch model Saskia de Brauw in face paint to darken her skin posing next to taxidermied African animals.
Even if the magazine is clueless to the nuanced details of what makes this deeply offensive and wrong, clearly they can understand the basics of: white model + tribal face paint + taxidermied African animals = Not OK.
It's the year 2014, and yet obviously the fashion industry still isn't completely clear on the fact that blackface is never OK.
If you think this is the magazine's first foray with racial struggle, think again. In 2011, the magazine was forced to apologize for calling earrings on their website "slave earrings" and most recently, their Netherlands hub featured another white model in blackface for their "Heritage History" in May of 2012.

Timbaland & Wife Monique Reconciled After Messy Separation
Producer Timbaland (real name Timothy Mosley) and his wife Monique Moseley have reunited! Last October, Monique filed for divorce, after five years of marriage. According to TMZ, she requested him to pay for a long running list of expenses including life insurance, permanent alimony, private schooling, summer camp, vacations, and legal fees among other things.
One of the more controversial parts of the expenses included was that he not only pay child support for their 5-year-old daughter, Reign, but also to her 10-year-old child from a previous relationship. According to the request, Timbo claimed Reign as his own.
Fast forward to the present day and all seems to be well between Timbaland and Monique.
Over the weekend, the couple were hand-in-hand, as they attended the GREY GOOSE Vodka and the Cadillac Championship Toast Travie McCoy in Doral, Florida. They both presented a $5,000 check on behalf of their Always Giving Foundation. Last November, we also spotted them attend a NYC social event (the Frigo Pop Up store launch).
Initially, the pair met when Mosley worked as his publicist and popped the question during the baby shower for their daughter in 2007. The couple married in a star studded ceremony in Aruba, one year later. She stated about the relationship,
I knew we were going to be together forever.
Timbaland said about the relationship,
It’s probably hard to be married to me. It’s not easy. I’m a musical genius. I’m weird, I do crazy things, it’s not like the average norm. But I’m a loving guy.

Speaker Knockerz’s Mom Is Speechless Over Son’s Death
A Social media user claiming to be Speaker Knockerz mother has been left speechless and brokenhearted in the wake of her alleged son’s death on Mar.6. A person by the name of Mesha Wilson posted on her Facebook her feelings regarding her loss.
19 year old Speaker Knockerz passed away on March 6, details surrounding the young emcee’s death still remain a mystery, although he was considering “missing” at the time his lifeless body was discovered.

The public outcry of support has been staggering for Speaker. The artist wasn’t even signed to a label. His claimed to fame came from dozens of YouTube videos which received anywhere from 200,000 to 3 million views.
The rapper (real name, Derek McAllister) was found by authorities in his garage on Two Notch Road in Columbia, SC. Coroner Gary Watts does not suspect foul play, since an autopsy performed on Knockerz revealed no signs of trauma. Reports confirm that a toxicology test was distributed to determine if the rapper ingested any legal/illegal substances at the time of his death.
