Gal Gadot and Director Patty Jenkins Are Ready for a Wonder Woman Sequel

Over the weekend, Wonder Women brought in $103 million in the box office, the highest opening for a woman director ever according to The Hollywood Reporter. And while Warner Bros has yet to confirm an official sequel to the film (as of yesterday, they declined to comment on its future plans for the franchise when Entertainment Weekly asked), there's already been some thought put into it. THR notes in its feature on the film that both director Patty Jenkins and actress Gal Gadot are contractually committed to any sequel, one that would be contemporary-set.

And Jenkins told Entertainment Weekly during an April interview where she sees a second film taking place: "The story will take place in the U.S., which I think is right," she said. "She's Wonder Woman. She's got to come to America. It's time."

On WWHL Bethenny was asked what she would have done if she was in Kandi’s position.

Bethenny admitted, “I think she contained herself, I really do. I would have needed to hire Phaedra to represent me as a lawyer. I would have beat her ass.” She continued, “That was insane. She’s a lawyer and she tried to ruin someone’s brand and career and she has a kid. It was despicable.” Completely. No matter how many Bible verses or motivational quotes Phaedra posts on social media, there’s really no coming back from that horrid behavior.

WERK TARAJI! Taraji initially debuted her short cut over Memorial Day weekend, and it looks like the style is sticking. Her badass cut may be inspired by her character in the upcoming film Proud Mary, set for a 2018 release.

We're used to seeing loose tresses with varying lengths and colors for the star, but this short cut is her most daring to date.

What makes it even more stunning is how effortlessly cool she makes it, pairing the fresh cut with bold pink shades and a colorful oversized bag.

As the iconic duo of T-Boz and Chilli gear up for the much-anticipated release of her new, self-titled album, the ‘Sexy’ and ‘Cool’ ladies premiere the video for their feel-good single, “Way Back” featuring Snoop Dogg.

Walking up to a house party with a west coast stroll, T-Boz and her girls meet Chilli inside for the opening verse. With henna on her hands and blond strips in her hair Chilli handles the smooth, throwback hook.

Outside, the duo dance in front of a lowrider, while reminiscing on the past and their everlasting bond. “James Brown and Michael J / Like them high school parties / Some things don’t ever change / Yeah, you and me, we go way back,” they sing.

Snoop doesn’t make it to the house party, but he appears with a beautiful woman in front of a green screen. Tha Doggfather raps along to the track while T-Boz and Chilli dance on the roof.

TLC’s crowd-funded final album is set to drop June 30. It marks their first album in 15 years and first without Left Eye, who tragically passed away in 2002.

Next month, the duo will celebrate the LP’s release with the “I Love the ’90s: The Party Continues Tour,” which kicks off July 7 with special guests Naughty By Nature, Biz Markie, Montell Jordan, Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, and more.

#HIPHOPNEWS: Nas Hints His New Album Will Drop This Summer

The seemingly interminable wait for Nas‘ 11th album could be coming to an end. The rap icon hinted as much in a recent interview with The New York Times.

During the interview, which NYT reports took place while the Queens-bred lyricist was choosing beats for his latest project, Nas alluded to a release date while simultaneously poking fun at his fickleness when it comes to establishing definitive dates for his albums to drop. “Two weeks,” he explained. “I always say I’m two weeks away from finishing.”

Elsewhere in the new interview, Nas said “We coming this summer, baby! It’s going to be a hot summer up here, man!” So, we think it’s sort of safe to say he’s not dropping the project within the next two weeks. It’s coming, though.

Nas famously announced his latest album—which will be his first since 2012’s Life Is Good—was finished on DJ Khaled’s appropriately titled Major Key track, “Nas Album Done.” Obviously, it’s been about a year since then and we’ve yet to hear anything from the project. He says it’s probably coming out this summer, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

One thing we don’t have to speculate about is Nas’ touring plans for the summer. He recently announced a new North American tour alongside the legendary Lauryn Hill. The forthcoming trek will hit 17 cities including the likes of Toronto, Boston, Houston, Miami, Los Angeles and several more before ending its run on Oct. 10 in Vacouver. To say this is a hip-hop purist’s version of Candyland is probably an understatement.

In any case, keep an eye out for both Nas’ new album and his upcoming joint tour. We’ve got a lot to look forward to.

Tom Cruise & 'The Mummy' Cast Premiere the Film in NYC!

Sofia Boutella, Tom Cruise, and Annabelle Wallis walk the red carpet at the premiere of their movie The Mummy on Tuesday (June 6) at AMC Loews Lincoln Square in New York City.

The actors were joined by their co-stars Jake Johnson and Courtney B. Vance, as well as director Alex Kurtzman.

The film, a reboot of the classic monster movie franchise, hits theaters on Friday and it will serve as the first film in Universal Pictures’ new monster universe.

FYI: Tom is wearing an Ermenegildo Zegna Made to Measure suit and shirt. Sofia is wearing a Rodarte gown.

George & Amal Clooney Welcome Twins - Find Out Their Names!

George Clooney and his wife, human rights lawyer Amal, have welcomed twins – a boy and a girl, his rep told the press!

The couple chose the names Ella and Alexander for their newborn babies.

“This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine,”George‘s rep told JJ in a statement about the 56-year-old actor and 39-year-old lawyer.

George‘s rep then continued, jokingly, “George is sedated and should recover in a few days.”

Congrats to the happy couple on the wonderful news!

T.I. Has Advice For Tiny Harris & Tamar Braxton

Despite their differences with Tamar Braxton, Tiny Harris took to social media to wish her Godson, Logan Herbert, a very Happy 4th Birthday.

Tiny also noted that she misses her Godson.

New Edition & Chance The Rapper To Be Honored At 2017 BET Awards

The 2017 BET Awards are going down on June 25 at 8 p.m. at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and the network has announced this year’s honorees will be New Edition and Chance The Rapper.

The pioneering R&B group, consisting of Ronnie DeVoe, Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ralph Tresvant, and Johnny Gill, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Chance The Rapper will be honored with the Humanitarian Award at the 2017 BET Awards.

The 3x Grammy Award winning rapper is well-deserving of the honor after raising over $2 million for Chicago Public Schools.

Hackers Leak Eight Episodes of Unaired ABC Show ‘Steve Harvey’s Funderdome’.

According to reports, The hacker who previously leaked almost the entire fifth season of Netflix’s “Orange Is the New Black” targeted ABC with a new leak Sunday night, apparently releasing eight episodes of the network’s still-unaired show “Steve Harvey’s Funderdome” on The Pirate Bay.

“Time to play another round,” the hacker wrote in a note accompanying the release. “We’re following through on our threats as we always do.” The Dark Overlord first threatened to target Disney-owned ABC this past Friday.

“If you prefer your meat bloody, we’re serving it bloody as can be,” the note continued. “We’re bringing another piece from the world of unaired mainstream media content.”

“Steve Harvey’s Funderdome” is scheduled to premiere on ABC on June 11.

Kerry Washington is loving life and telling it all in Glamour’s April issue. Actress, Kerry Washington says her “life is getting better” the older she gets and feels turning 40 this year is the “beginning” of a new lease of life. The ‘Scandal’ star – who has Isabelle, two, and Caleb, five months, with her husband Nnamdi Asomugha – turned 40 earlier this year and feels it has signalled the “beginning” of a new lease of life. She said: “Life is just getting better. For me, 40 feels like a beginning. I’m in the middle of so much new – with this career, the kids, and I’m still sort of a newlywed. I’m excited to be at this stage in life.” And the 40-year-old actress feels it is important to prioritize her own wellbeing and self-love. Asked what she does to promote her own self-care, she added: “Sometimes, when we’re feeling challenged in life, we feel a pull to isolate, and for me part of the joy of being a wife, a mother, and in a cast of friends is allowing myself to be in spaces of love. So being open to that love.

“Then, for me, self-love is like, Am I sleeping enough? Eating well? Not: Am I eating well to be able to fit into my skinny jeans? But: Am I eating well to be healthy and strong? And to acknowledge the good, because there is always a lot of good.” Meanwhile, Kerry hopes she can pass on some of her positivity to all those she encounters. She told the May issue of Glamour magazine: “My deepest desire is to create a world where there’s room for all of us, where no matter who you are, you get to wake up in the morning and know that you are worthwhile and deserving. If that’s the world I want to live in, I have to do the work to make that true for me. “I have to do the work of self-love and affirmation, and say, ‘I am a woman, I am a person of color, I am the granddaughter of immigrants, I am also the descendant of slaves, I am a mother, I am an entrepreneur, I am an artist, and I’m joyful.’ And maybe in seeing my joy, you can finish your sentence with, ‘And I am joyful too.'”

#RHoA: NeNe Leakes flaunts bikini body on Instagram

The former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star took to Instagram on Sunday to show off her incredible beach bod in a teeny navy bikini and beach cover up.

Her two-piece suit flaunted her signature curves and featured oversized jewels on the bikini's straps. The 49-year-old television personality looked fresh-faced with her short, windblown blonde locks showing off her diamond stud earrings. As she noted in the second photo she shared from her impromptu vacation photo shoot, Leakes' colorful cover up is from Swagg Boutique, which she owns.

Empire this Wednesday drew 6.9 million total viewers and a 2.4 rating (per finals), slipping 15 percent on both counts to new series lows — though still dominating the night in the demo.

Brian McKnight continues to deliver stellar material, consistently adding to his two-decade long catalog of R&B classics.

The singer/songwriter/producer has returned with the grown-and-sexy new single “Forever,” the first release off his forthcoming album Genesis, which is due out August 25.

Premiering the music video along with the song’s digital release, the R&B crooner is seen at home singing about keeping the love of his life close. McKnight then gets ready to go out for a drive, where he puts on a showcase of his sleek Audi R8.

“The sun is about to rise / There’s not stopping it / There’s no good in goodbye, not even a little bit / And even though I know your coming back, I hate to see you go,” he sings over a foot stomping production.

In addition to his new music, Brian will be featured in Marlon Wayans upcoming Netfilx comedy series Naked, which is coming soon.

#HIPHOPNEWS: Tupac-Inspired Café to Open in New York

Tupac Shakur’s legacy lives on in many ways. His music continues to make a Hall of Fame impact, his life is being turned into a feature film, and now, his dream café will open for a limited time in New York.

The late rapper’s estate has announced plans to turn Lower East Side’s Sweet Chick into Powamekka Café, a restaurant concept that Shakur came up with prior to his tragic death in 1996. It will be open to the public from April 7-9 at 178 Ludlow St. in the icon’s home state.

Tom Whalley, the estate trustee, said it will bring ‘Pac’s notebook sketches to life. “Tupac’s creative vision was limitless. He was constantly working on ideas and plans that reached far beyond music and film,” he said. “One of the things he was extremely passionate about was opening a restaurant; he even sketched out plans and a concept for a menu. We are proud to bring Tupac’s Powamekka Café to life.”

As Whalley mentioned, Shakur wrote about this concept in one of his famous notepads. Over the course of three pages, Makaveli dubbed it “a passionate paradise 4 people with power 2 play and parlay.” He also called it “the perfect hideout 4 those who wish 2 escape the worldz cold reality.”

In his sketches, ‘Pac said that his café would offer “southern and creole food from generationz of recipes and traditions.” According to Billboard, this version of the restaurant will feature some of ‘Pac’s favorite food, including meatloaf, gumbo, and his cousin Jamala’s fried chicken wings.

A one-day only Powamekka Café opened to huge crowds in Fresno back in September of 2016. It offered Brenda’s Baby-Back Rib Burger, a California Love Chicken Sandwich, Hennessy Apple Butter Wings, and Thugz Passion drinks.

Barry Manilow FINALLY COMES OUT THE CLOSET and explains why he kept sexuality a secret
After years of keeping his private life to himself, Barry Manilow has decided to open up about his sexuality and discuss his nearly 40-year romance with his manager husband Garry Kief.

Rumors first swirled about Manilow’s relationship with Kief in 2015, which he told People magazine was “a blessing and a curse.”

“I thought I would be disappointing them if they knew I was gay. So I never did anything,” Manilow, 73, revealed to People.

But Manilow’s loyal fans were very supportive, he revealed.

“When they found out that Garry and I were together, they were so happy. The reaction was so beautiful — strangers commenting, ‘Great for you!’ I’m just so grateful for it.”

He said he knew he’d met the right person when he first started dating Kief in 1978.

“I knew that this was it,” Manilow recalled. “I was one of the lucky ones. I was pretty lonely before that.”

He said he has always been a private person. He quietly married Kief in a ceremony at their home in April of 2014.

“I’m so private. I always have been.”

Manilow also spoke to People about his first marriage to Susan Deixler, his high school sweetheart whom he married right after graduation. Their union lasted just one year.

“I was in love with Susan,” Manilow said. “I just was not ready for marriage. I was out making music every night, sowing my wild oats — I was too young. I wasn’t ready to settle down.”

Of his husband Kief, Manilow gushed, “He’s the smartest person I’ve ever met in my life — and a great guy, too.”

Pepsi and Kendall Jenner Make fun of Black Lives Matter protests in new and AWFUL commercial

Protests have always served as a tool to provoke change. From the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s to the Black Lives Matter movement of this generation, marching and protests have forced the world to pay attention to injustice. So when Pepsi and Kendall Jenner attempted to use the spirit of protests to sell soda, the ad was met with backlash.

The commercial begins with Jenner wearing a blonde wig during a photo shoot. But during the photo shoot, Jenner notices a protest occurring. and takes off her wig and makeup and joins the march. She then grabs a Pepsi and hands it to a police officer as the protesters cheer.

The ad failed because it served as a mockery of Black Lives Matter protests. The commercial appears to suggest that a soda can begin to heal the rift between police and protesters. However, the killings of unarmed Blacks such as Mike Brown, Tamir Rice, Alton Sterling and Philando Castile can’t be undone by a soft drink. The racism and police corruption in cities such as Ferguson, Missouri, and Chicago will never end if some believe that a soda could be the remedy. And now that Trump and Jeff Sessions are looking to turn a blind eye on police misconduct, it’s important to create a true narrative.

Jenner and those who worked on the Pepsi campaign failed to identify with the people they were attempting to reach. But when the decision makers are out of touch, it reflects on the brand. It’s highly unlikely that Jenner or the marketing reps for the campaign have ever taken the time to march in Ferguson, Baltimore, or Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Moreover, they probably never had a conversation with a person who participated in a Black Lives Matter protest.

At press time, Jenner and Pepsi are both standing by the message and tone of the ad. Which they’re both IDIOTS!!!!

TLC’s New Album Drops Final Kick Starter Album On June 30th.

In a new note sent to the backers on Monday (April 3rd), the group’s longtime manager Bill Diggins revealed that the album will hit stores June 30th.

Tionne and Chilli have been working night and day to hit this date. The video and a photo shoot on April 18th, 19th, 20th.

I hope that you all read the article in The Guardian last week on why TLC’s comeback is so important, it is a great read on the group that you love and you should be proud that you made this album happen.

Sage Steele has been Dropped by ESPN.

Karma is a biotch….Veteran basketball analyst Sage Steele, who has courted controversy with her conservative comments on social media, will be replaced by Michelle Beadle as host of “NBA Countdown” on both ESPN and ABC, the networks announced Tuesday.

Steele will continue to appear on ESPN’s “SportsCenter on the Road” and she will have an “expanded on-site presence at events such as the Masters, World Series, Super Bowl, the College Football Playoff, and College Football National Championship,” according to a statement.

Mike Epps Apologizes For Offensive Kangaroo Stunt    

Mike Epps came under fire over the weekend after bringing a live kangaroo on stage during his Festival of Laughs tour in Michigan. Now, after being berated and accused of animal cruelty, the comedian is apologizing.

“Look I wanna sincerely apologize to everybody,” Epps wrote on Instagram. “I don’t own the kangaroo and did not mean any harm to the animal it got outta hand and Iam sorry!”

Mike also explained in the lengthy apology that he will be donating money to the Save The Kangaroos Foundation. “Sorry if I offedend anybody I love animals sense I was a kid I had dogs my whole life !!#imadeabadmistake I keep taking down my post because of the back lash Iam getting!! thank you for forgiveness,” he wrote.

During the show in Detroit, the kangaroo and its handler made their way on stage for what appeared to be a mini dance party. The animal, however, was not having it. While Epps attempted to get crunk alongside the large species, the kangaroo swung its paw at Mike as if it intended to hurt.

Several took to social media to blast the comedian for exploiting animals for entertainment, including PETA, which released the following statement:

“Traumatic situations can be fatal to kangaroos — who are not hardy animals — and this individual was subjected to a great deal of stress by being dragged in front of a boisterous crowd and forced to ‘dance. PETA hopes the U.S. Department of Agriculture will conduct an immediate investigation and that the backlash over this stunt will remind all comedians that there’s nothing funny about cruelty to animals.”

Uh Oh? Puma Slaps Forever 21 With A Lawsuit For Fenty by Rihanna x Puma Knockoffs

Forever 21 is back in the news for ripping off someone else’s design but this time they’re going against Rihanna’s forces.

It has been reported that Puma filed a design patent, trade dress and copyright infringement lawsuit against the retail store after accusing them of trying to “trade on the substantial goodwill of Puma, Rihanna, and the Fenty shoes.”  The German company claims that Forever 21 infringed upon their Fenty by Rihanna x Puma Creepers, Bow Slides and Fur Slides …items that they say,” routinely sells out within minutes of the launch of each new version due to overwhelming demand.”

via SoleCollector.com: “The complaint continues by addressing infringement on its “Bow Slides” and “Fur Slides.” Forever 21’s are undeniably similar in design and color.

Puma claims: “In an attempt to ride the coattails of Puma’s substantial investment in and success with the Fenty Shoes, [Forever 21] is using the Fenty Trade Dress to offer for sale, distribute, market, and/or sell competing shoes that are confusingly similar to the Fenty Shoes. As reflected in side-by-side comparisons, [Forever 21’s] infringing shoes are confusingly similar to the Fenty Trade Dress.”

In addition to the strong accusations of copyright and trademark infringement, Puma is also claiming rights to the pale pink and olive green colors used on the “Bow Slides.” As of now, this doesn’t seem like a lawsuit that will go in Forever 21’s favor at all.
