K. Michelle Covers “KONTROL” Magazine’s Sexy Issue

With her new album, Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart, due next week (Dec. 9th), K. Michelle takes over as cover girl for KONTROL magazine’s latest issue.

The “Maybe I Should Call” songstress rocks an all white number while standing between two men who are baring it all.

he came from a place of pain and hardship on her debut album, Rebellious Soul, but fans can now expect a new side of K. to be exposed on her upcoming release – “AWBAH.”

Read a couple of excerpts from the issue below, to find out what she had to say about what made her stay in a past relationship which inspired her new album, and reaching a point of being comfortable with her body:

You said this past relationship inspired your newest project, but what caused you to stay?

Chile, I was in love! I felt like this man was my soul mate. I had never experienced anything like it. It was amazing to be with someone who was equally as creative. He was a muse.

How did you reach a point of being so comfortable in your body? How long did it take you to reach that place?

I’m not sure. I think you just get to a point where you’re like, “This is who I am, take it or leave it.” I was in New York recently and someone gave me a hat that said, “I’m beautiful as f*ck” and I fell in love with it; because of how confident a person has to be to wear a hat like that. I think more [it’s] than being comfortable with my body, I’m comfortable with being myself.

Pharrell Williams Comments On Mike Brown’s ‘Bully-ish’ Behavior, Bill Cosby & President Obama

Pharrell Williams is sparking a bit of controversy for an unpopular opinion he shared with Ebony magazine about Mike Brown, the 18-year-old unarmed teenager who was shot and killed by Ferguson cop Darren Wilson. And it couldn’t have come at a worse time given how tense the atmosphere is, post Wilson’s non-indictment.

Covering the November 2014 “Men’s Issue” of the mag, the producer was asked to give his thoughts on the Ferguson case, and how it’s been affecting the country. During the interview, Pharrell was asked if he saw the footage that allegedly showed Mike Brown in an altercation with a convenient store owner moments before his death. He commented that he felt as though Mike’s behavior was “bully-ish,” and wondered why people haven’t talked about that.

He also shared his thoughts on Cosby’s critique of young black men back in the day, which he agreed with, but said he definitely doesn’t think Mike Brown should have been killed, and he does think Officer Wilson should have been punished.

Since you mentioned  Ferguson, let’s just jump right into it. What’s your take on what’s been  happening in America?

Wow. I do not want to get myself in trouble, but I felt like the president should have gone down there. I think sending Attorney General Eric Holder was a kind gesture, but the president should have gone. He didn’t have to go and take a side; all he needed to do was show his presence and everybody would have straightened up. But he didn’t go. I won’t fault him. He’s a man with a lot of weight on his shoulders, but I personally would have gone because being a “man of the people” means you’re right there with them in it. Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. led by example.

Did you see the video allegedly showing Michael Brown stealing from a convenience store minutes before his death?

It looked very bully-ish; that in itself I had a problem with. Not with the kid, but with whatever happened in his life for him to arrive at a place where that behavior is OK. Why aren’t we talking about that?

You can almost hear the gnashing of Bill Cosby’s teeth.

And I agree with him. When Cosby said it back then, I understood; I got it. Listen, we have to look at ourselves and take action for ourselves. Cosby can talk that talk because he created Fat Albert, he tried to buy NBC, he portrayed a doctor on The Cosby Show and had all of us wearing Coogi sweaters. You’ve got to respect him.

I believe that Ferguson officer should be punished and serve time. He used excessive force on a human being who was merely a child. He was a baby, man. The boy was walking in the middle of the street when the police supposedly told him to “get the f–k on the sidewalk.” If you don’t listen to that, after just having pushed a store owner, you’re asking for trouble. But you’re not asking to be killed. Some of these youth feel hunted and preyed upon, and that’s why that officer needs to be punished.

He also goes on to share his plans on raising his son Rocket now that kids of today aren’t seeing race for what it used to mean.

My son is growing up at a time when he doesn’t have the same understanding of race. Most kids today don’t understand race in that way. They do in certain parts of the country, but in general, they don’t have a grasp of race, gender and sexual orientation the way our parents did. We live in different times, so I’m going to teach him about what’s good and what’s bad. I’m also going to teach him what it means to be himself, and a huge part of who he is is being Black. His mom is part Laotian, so he’s three-quarters Black. But his spirit is Rocket.

This Is What Lifetime’s ‘Whitney’ Biopic Will Look Like

Although some fans have not moved on from the fail that was the Aaliyah biopic, Lifetime is now focusing on the release of Whitney. The new biopic was directed by Angela Bassett, and stars America’s Next Top Model alumni Yaya DaCosta as the icon, with singer Deborah Cox on vocals. While Aaliyah: Princess of R&B highlighted her career, Whitney will especially focus on Nippy’s relationship with Bobby Brown, including the very moment they met while at the height of their careers and their very intense union.

This week, Lifetime announced that the film will premiere on January 17, 2015. They also released a few photos from the film.

Rapper Xzbit Gets ARRESTED...After His Own Wedding Reception!

Xzibit, government name Alvin Nathaniel Joiner, copped a DUI late Saturday night near Laguna Beach, CA.  And it all went down after he and his new Mrs., Krista Joiner, partied WAY too hard.

Way into the wee hours of Sunday morning after the reception, he had supposedly left with his new bride....but some type of way got pulled over for speeding.  TMZ reports:

Xzibit tied the knot Saturday night near Laguna Beach, CA. He and his bride, Krista Joiner, partied hard at the St. Regis Monarch Beach. After getting pelted with rice early Sunday ... he left, presumably with her.

But the coitus got interrupted in Laguna, when cops pulled Xzibit over for speeding. He reeked of booze so cops cuffed him and took him to the station.

And yes, he has a post-wedding mugshot.

The twosome have been together since at least 2009 when we spotted them on a yacht vacay together.  And Xzibit poured out his rapper heart on Instagram about his wedding day:

Trey Songz & Nicki Minaj’s Steamy “Touchin, Lovin” Interactive Video

Trey Songz is allowing his fans to pick their own experience with a new interactive music video for his Nicki Minaj-assisted single, “Touchin, Lovin.”

The steamy Jason Zada-directed clip allows viewers to “explore Trey’s fantasies” by clicking on different objects throughout it — with each choice prompting the next sequence of events.

“I have a personal connection with my fans and I wanted this interactive video to be a way for them to get a glimpse into my world and my fantasies in a new way,” Trigga told BuzzFeed.

Trey will soon hit the road with Chris Brown on their “Between the Sheets” tour. The 25-city Live Nation trek kicks off in Hampton, Va., on January 28.

Ferguson Police Consider Filing Charges Against Michael Brown’s Stepfather For ‘Inciting A Riot’

Police are investigating Michael Brown’s stepfather for his actions in the hours after a grand jury determined that the officer who fatally shot Brown would not be charged, Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson said Tuesday.

CNN reports that police are trying to determine whether Brown’s stepfather, Louis Head, was attempting to incite a riot on Nov. 24 when he screamed “Burn this —- down” to a crowd of protesters after St. Louis County prosecutor Robert McCulloch announced the grand jury’s decision.

Jackson also told Fox News that charges against Head are possible. “We are pursing those comments, and there is a lot of discussion going on about that right now,” Jackson told Sean Hannity. “But I really can’t get into that right now.”

Head’s rant appeared on a video shot by The New York Times.

CNN, citing Jackson, said Ferguson police have interviewed people who were with Head when he addressed the crowd, but had not yet spoken with Head.

Brown, 18, was fatally shot Aug. 9 following a brief, controversial confrontation with officer Darren Wilson, 28. Brown, who was black, was unarmed. Wilson is white.

The shooting touched off months of protests, some of them violent.

The grand jury’s decision further fueled passions, and buildings were burned and looted in the hours after the announcement.

Jackson has said police are trying to identify the looters, who also could face charges.

On his fitness obsession

I wish I had more body parts that I could work out. If I had my way, I'd be in the gym all day. I love to lift. When I don't have basketball practice, I'll be in a gym for 2.5 hours - 30 minutes abs, 2 hours lifting.

If you put some work in, you can have this body. It's not because all basketball players have this body, no. I have this kind of body because I put a lot of work into it. I work out a lot.

On making basketball happen in the Congo as a kid

Our court was the street. We'd collect a lot of plastic bags that we'd put together and it would become like a basketball and we'd start shooting with it. It was expensive to have a basketball. We'd just hang some basket on the street -- something we could just shoot at where the ball could go in. We used a lot of things -- a tire from a bike. That's how we would play.

On choosing basketball over soccer

My father was always pushing me to become a basketball player. In Africa, when you're a kid, every kid loves to play soccer, and I loved playing soccer. But my dad didn't want me playing soccer. He would joke, "C'mon, man, you're too tall!" Then he promised me, "If you start playing basketball, I'm going to give you my jersey." That's one of my favorite things from my dad is his old jersey. He played with No. 9, too. That's where I get my number from.

Beyoncé Has Another Sibling? Mathew Knowles Fathers Another Child, Hit With A Second Paternity Test

This is becoming a bit embarrassing, according to BUZZFEED a Houston-area woman claims Mathew Knowles is the father of her daughter, who was born in 2010, the same time when his ex- wife Tina Knowles divorced him for fathering another son with his then mistress.  Matthew Knowles remarried, but not to either women whom he has created life with during or while he was married to Miss Tina! 

According to court documents filed against Mathew Knowles on May 30 by a 30-year-old Houston-area woman.

In the petition, Taqoya Branscomb alleges Beyoncé’s 63-year-old father is also the dad of a female child born in 2010 in Harris County, Texas. Branscomb is attempting to make Knowles take a DNA test, and is also requesting child support and money for her attorney’s fees.

This is the second time Knowles has been hit with a paternity suit. In 2010, Knowles acknowledged that he was father of actress Alexsandra Wright’s son. News of the affair with Wright led to his divorce from former wife Tina after nearly 30 years of marriage.

In February 2013, Knowles was ordered to pay Wright $12,000 a month, but that figure was reduced to $2,485 a month by a judge after Knowles claimed his income had dwindled in recent years.

Bringing an end to a fabulous weekend, Michael Douglas showed up at the premiere of his new movie “And So It Goes” at Guild Hall in East Hampton, New York

The “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” star was joined by his supportive wife Catherine Zeta Jones as he schmoozed with Diane Keaton and Rob Reiner ahead of the screening.

Slated to hit theaters July 25th, “And So It Goes” also stars Sterling Jerins, Annie Parisse, Austin Lysy and Michael Terra.

Per the synopsis, “A self-centered realtor enlists the help of his neighbor when he's suddenly left in charge of the granddaughter he never knew existed until his estranged son drops her off at his home.”

Before the vid begins, the following message is displayed on the screen:

Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Refuse To Pay $20K Honeymoon

It is just like a Kardashian to be wanting something for free, isn’t it?

Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West tied the knot in Italy and honeymooned in Ireland, but according to reports, they didn’t pay the $20,000 for the cost of their honeymoon festivities. Reportedly, the duo checked into Castle Oliver in Limerick, Ireland, but didn’t like the place so they packed up, complained about the cell phone reception and left for the Ballyfin House in Co Laois instead.

Despite them leaving, the castle had already ordered a bunch of stuff for their honeymoon demands and the couple ended up reversing the deposit they put forward for the place on their American Express card.

An insider close to the situation said, “Everyone is shocked to say the least. The castle is out a fortune on their honeymoon. It is absolutely awful. They made all these requests ahead of their visit, for certain foods, champagnes, thousands in flowers, candelabras everywhere. The hotel brought in everything they requested, and there were dozens of items. But then they took back all the money they had paid for them!”

The source said that “everyone involved in making their honeymoon perfect at Castle Oliver has been completely burned. We’re not just talking about the hotel, but providers from all around the local area who gave their services and time in good faith that Kim and Kanye would pay them. But they won’t get their money back.”

Another source said, “A member of staff based in the United States was fired for booking them into the venue. It’s insane! We’re talking about one of the richest couples in the entertainment business refusing to pay the bill for their honeymoon. It would have been a dream honeymoon for anyone else in the world, and they should just have the decency to pay their bill.”

Absolutely no one should ever use the words “decency” and “Kim Kardashian” in the same sentence EVER.

The celebration continues for Khloe Kardashian. The Keeping Up With the Kardashian star is in celebratory mood, celebrating her 30th birthday. Six Flags rollercoaster DERAILS in terrifying crash

Four people were injured and around 21 others were left hanging 30ft in the air when a roller coaster at Six Flags in Los Angeles derailed.

Los Angeles County Fire Department first responders were called to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Santa Clarita just before 6 p.m. after ride operators said the attraction that hits 55 mph had smashed into a tree.

Rescue crews discovered the terrified passengers clinging to the amusement park ride, according to KTLA. They were using heavy equipment to extract the thrillseekers.

The Ninja coaster struck a tree branch shortly before 6 p.m. and stopped, said Michael Pittman, a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatch supervisor.

Televised news reports showed at least one of the cars that normally are suspended beneath a track dangling at an angle, derailed at the front.

Pittman said four people on the ride received minor injuries, but they and other riders remained on the stalled coaster, stranded 20 to 30 feet in the air, more than an hour after the accident.

Firefighters had ladders available to rescue them if necessary, he added.

It was earlier reported that two people suffered serious injuries but this was later found to be untrue.

According to the Six Flags website, the ride - called the 'Ninja' - takes riders on a winding track at speeds of 55 mph.

Riders hang from the track and are swung 90 degrees each way in the 'suspended swinging roller coaster' that is described as a 'stealth assassin.'

The Ninja coaster can hold up to 28 riders.

'As you shoot down the snake-like steel track you'll grip the hillsides and blast through the trees swiftly, slicing through the landscape. Ninja pivots with precision as you narrowly miss tagging land and water, whipping around at 55 miles per hour,' according to the amusement park's website.

Six Flags Magic Mountain is in the Valencia area of Santa Clarita, about 25 miles north of Los Angeles.

The Associated Press was unable to reach Magic Mountain representatives after-hours.

Fan Approaches Mya About Jay Z in Real Life

Ryan Leslie: I Will NOT Pay 1 Million Judgement For Missing Laptop, Demands Debt Be Wiped Clean

According to theJasmineBRAND producer/singer/rapper Ryan Leslie is firing back at the man who won a 1 million dollar judgement against him, claiming that 1) he does not deserve the cash reward and 2) wants the bankruptcy court to wipe it clear.

In 2012, the 35-year-old Harvard-educated artist was ordered to pay 1 million dollars back by a federal court jury — after he failed to pay a $1 million reward for a missing laptop to a man named Armin Augstein.

Leslie claimed the laptop didn’t have the unreleased music on it when it was given back to him and for that reason, he didn’t have to pay. Leslie has been fighting payment on the judgement and even had his Cadillac Escalade seized and sold off at auction for 17k back in September (2013). Last year, he filed for bankruptcy claiming he didn’t have the cash to pay the judgement. The judge will determine if Leslie will have to pay the 1 million or whether or not it will be cleared in his case.

Augstein filed a lawsuit as part of Leslie’s bankruptcy demanding that the million dollar judgement not be discharged and asking the court to order Leslie to pay him despite being broke.

On June 29th, Leslie fired back at Augstein’s request and asked the court to discharge the 1 mill along with the rest of his debts. He claimed that Augstein accidentally found his laptop in a German park and he (Augstein) was not defrauded, nor will he be negatively affected financially without the 1 million.

He claims that Augstein simply returned a missing item and he returned it to the local police NOT him–thus he isn’t entitled to the reward money. It all started when Miami stripper Innocent_MIA left a comment on Waka Flocka’s wife Tammy Rivera’s Instagram page warning her to check Waka before she releases a sex tape of him eating her back door.

Columbus Short denies any wrongdoing after arrest for public intoxication in Dallas

Columbus Short denied any wrongdoing during a television interview on Monday following his weekend arrest in Texas for public intoxication.

The 31-year-old actor was arrested about 2am on Saturday at the Katy Trail Ice House, a popular beer garden and restaurant in Dallas.

His arrest was the latest trouble for the actor who pleaded not guilty in May to felony battery for a fight that seriously injured a man at a restaurant in West Hollywood, California.

The former Scandal star also was arrested on February 18 for alleged domestic violence assault against his wife Tanee McCall.

'I think there's a time when your personal life gets magnified by who we are as celebrities,' Short said when asked about his legal woes during a remote interview with Access Hollywood from Dallas.

A report by TMZ claimed that Short had been drinking at the Dallas bar for four hours straight and attempted to leave without paying his tab.

Show host Billy Bush grilled Short about his arrest and other legal troubles

A security guard intercepted him and a shouting match turned into a fight when Short allegedly levied accusations of racism at the guard who was also African-American, according to TMZ.

A pair of off-duty Dallas police officers tried to break up the scuffle but Short allegedly started fighting with them, TMZ reported.

'I was involved in no fight,' Short told Access Hollywood host Billy Bush in the interview airing on Monday and Tuesday.

The actor said he went to the bathroom and there was a fight underway when he returned and police believed he was involved.

Short said 'something visceral' occurred while he was handcuffed on the ground 'for no justifiable reason at all.'

'I wasn’t acting intoxicated, I had had a couple of drinks, but whatever, I was angry and I used my vocabulary to kind of fight that,' he added.

Short announced in April that he would be stepping down from the hit ABC political thriller Scandal after three seasons following his arrest for domestic violence.

He said during his interview on Monday that the show 'did not throw me to the curb like trash - that's my family.

'We're a family and I think at a certain point when you're getting a barrage of stories after stories, ABC justifiably would want to distance themselves,' Short said.

He also confirmed that his marriage to McCall was over.

'This chapter is closed. There's a new chapter, and I'm not the author of this, God is... But I know that chapter is closed and I'm excited for the next one,' he said.
