Myles Garrett Covers ESPN Magazine’s NFL Draft Issue
Potential no. 1 NFL draft pick Myles Garrett is gracing the ESPN Magazine’s NFL Draft Issue.
Ahead of the April 27 draft, Myles told the magazine, “I want to show that I’m in a league of my own.”
Here’s the scoop on Myles via NFL.com:The Dallas area Defensive Player of the Year as a high school senior and member of an athletic family (mother, sister were college track stars, father Sean played in the NBA), big things were expected from Garrett upon his arrival in College Station. He didn’t disappoint. The consensus Freshman All-American and second-team All-SEC pick had 11.5 sacks as a freshman.
Garrett then added finalist honors for the Lombardi and Hendricks Awards as the nation’s top defender as a sophomore with 19.5 tackles for loss and tying for second in the FBS with 12.5 sacks and five forced fumbles. While fighting a knee injury suffered early in 2016, Garrett was still named first-team All-American and All-SEC as a junior (15 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks) while playing in 11 games, starting just nine.

#RHoA: Details of ‘RHOA’s Sheree & Bob Whitfield’s Tumultuous Divorce Revealed
Sheree Whitfield bravely opened up about her abusive relationship with ex-husband Bob Whitfield on Real Housewives of Atlanta, but few know the details of their troubled marriage and separation.
Recently uncovered divorce documents now give us a peek into the tumultuous marriage of the reality stars.
Divorce papers obtained by RadarOnline indicate Sheree filed for divorce from Bob on March 9, 2005.
“Petitioner is entitled to a divorce from the respondent on the grounds that the marriage is irretrievably broken. There are no prospects for reconciliation on the grounds of cruel treatment.”

The mother of three asked to have legal and physical custody of son Kairo, then 8, and daughter Kaleigh, then 5, whom she shares with the former NFL star. Daughter Tierra Fuller is from a previous relationship.
The 47-year-old also asked for child support and alimony from the football star, saying she “does not have the funds sufficient to provide for her own needs” while the former Atlanta Falcon made $1M a year at the time.
The divorce was granted in 2007, with Bob asking for a reduction in his child support in 2012.
Courts agreed to lower his payments from $2,142 a month down to an even $1,000 because he was behind on payments.
In fact, he was 38 months behind, owing Sheree $75,000. He was also forced to cover her furnishing and other household items to make up the difference.
Bob spent much of Season 9 attempting to win Sheree back, a plan that crashed and burned when he made light of his abusive ways in front of Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore.
“Could you still breathe?” he asked. “I don’t remember choking her, but if I did I’m sorry. Cause maybe I didn’t choke you hard enough.”

#NEWHIPHOP: NAS – ‘ANGEL DUST’
Nas turns into an anti-drug educator on “Angel Dust,” a new single from the latest season of his popular Netflix program, “The Get Down.”
Over a soulful beat, Esco explains the impact that angel dust has on its users. “Angels with dirty faces,” he raps. “Angels with broken wings / The devil’s dust, PCP, invaded bloodstreams.”
Later, the “Get Down” executive producer and narrator reveals why it’s best to stay away from drug dealing too. “The sidewalk was my brother’s office,” he raps. “We cut our losses, I had choices / I took a pen, became a voice for the voiceless / My people walking in a zombie state / Life is short, even mine’s at stake.”
“Angel Dust” soundtracks the opening scenes of the show’s third episode in its second season. The visual follow Nas’ lyrics quite literally, with explicit depictions of drug use and its effects.
Beyond his work with the Netflix series, Esco is also crafting a pilot for “Street Dreams,” a BET program based on his life.
Last year, Nas announced that his 11th album was completed on DJ Khaled’s “Nas Album Done.” However, he has yet to reveal its release date.

The cast and creative team of ABC’s Scandal sat down for an interview with THR amid their 100th episode celebration – and a big reveal was made.
Apparently, ABC wanted Connie Britton for the role, and Shonda Rhimes and others on the team fought for a black actress to star. The role obviously went to Kerry Washington, who has played the role since day one!
“Nothing felt more important than the sense of outsiderness. I didn’t know that there hadn’t been a drama series with a leading black woman for 37 years. When the show got picked up [to pilot], I got a phone call from somebody who said, ‘This would be the perfect show for Connie Britton.’ I said, ‘It would be, except Olivia Pope is black,’” Shonda told THR.
“The network was reading us their top choices, and it was Connie and all white women. I panicked. Somebody finally piped up, ‘We’re going to have to redo this list,’” Linda Lowy, the casting director, added. “We tested Kerry, Jill Scott and Anika Noni Rose. It was Kerry from the moment I took her to meet Shonda.”
Meanwhile, Kerry added, “This would have been a great role for Connie Britton!”

United Airlines Stock Dips After Passenger Dragging Fiasco
According to recent reports, the company’s shares dropped 4 percent at one point Tuesday, amassing nearly $800 million in loses. However, the stock recovered some by late afternoon, putting its market value off by $250 million.
The dip in United Continental Holdings’ stock comes after a viral video of a passenger being dragged by his arms off an overbooked United flight at Chicago O’Hare International airport. The video disturbingly shows the passenger’s face bloodied from the forced removal.
Online backlash followed the viral video, many detesting the airline’s action as unfair and extreme. United CEO Oscar Munoz apologized “for having to re-accomodate” customers, a comment further fueling a continued a negative response on social media, even jokes from users.

Mariah Carey Comes back home to SME/Epic Records, New Album Coming This Year
Epic Records has recommitted to Mariah Carey, announcing Monday a new joint partnership between the singer’s Butterfly MC Records and the Sony Music Entertainment label as well as a long-awaited studio album due out “later this year.” Terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
The deal seemingly puts to rest rumors that Carey’s recording contract was in jeopardy. The five-time Grammy winner was signed by Epic Records chairman-CEO LA Reid in 2016, with whom she worked on 2005’s multi-platinum-selling album “The Emancipation of Mimi” (recorded and released while Reid was running Universal Music label Island Def Jam).
Carey launched her career at Sony’s Columbia Records in 1990, when she scored the first of her five consecutive Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits ( “Vision of Love,” “Love Takes Time,” “Someday,” “I Don’t Wanna Cry,” and “Emotions”).
Said Reid in a statement: “To continue working with Mariah Carey at Epic has been another rewarding chapter of my career. Mariah’s incomparable talents as a singer, with her vocal range that is nothing short of legendary, are matched by her brilliance as a songwriter, producer, and performer par excellence. Mariah’s chart records have established her enduring place in music history, a position that is cherished and supported by her loyal fans worldwide. I look forward to building upon all of Mariah’s success for years to come.”
Added Carey: “I am putting my heart and soul into making more new music. I am so thrilled for this next chapter and to continue working with, and for, everyone that I love.”
The partnership comes on the heels of several headline-grabbing months for Carey. In December, the singer launched “Mariah’s World,” a docuseries on E!; famously endured technical complications live on ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest”; broke off her engagement to Australian billionaire James Packer; and announced, then postponed, a tour with Lionel Richie. Carey is also headlining a Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, to which she’s set to return in July.

Is it true? Do the guys in the NBA, including big stars like LeBron James & Russell Westbrook, hate Stephen Curry?
Well one man says it’s true and he’s writing a book about it.
Marcus Thompson, author of “The Miraculous Rise of Steph Curry,” said in a radio interview that NBA players like LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul HATE Steph and his clean cut image. We’re not sure how much of it is true, but he says he’s releasing a new book that will detail all the hate and shade thrown at the two-time MVP.
In the interview with the Big Lead’s Jason McIntyre, Marcus spilled some alleged tea on LeBron and Steph’s current relationship saying:
“There’s a thing with he and LeBron that’s a little weird. There was a time when LeBron and Steph were big brother and little brother and LeBron was like a mentor.
“He was a big fan of Steph, went to games at Davison, and even when [Curry] got to the NBA, they had moments where LeBron was looking at him like, ‘wow’ and then Steph kind of challenged LeBron’s status. The part that’s odd for Steph – why does that mean there has to be beef between us? He loves LeBron and respects LeBron, and he’s like, ‘because the outside world is pitting us together, why do you and I have to now have this disdain between us, I thought we were cool? … that’s the question that’s in Curry’s mind and Curry’s camp. Why do you not like me when all I did was basically respect everything you did, and follow the model you carried out? … it’s not just with LeBron … Steph wants to be accepted by all these guys. this is what he worked for. For [them] to say, ‘you’re one of us.’ It seems like they don’t want to give that to him.”
When asked who else in the league has hate for Steph, he replied,
“Everybody on the Clippers … Chris Paul was one of those guys. Chris Paul was somebody [Curry] looked up to. Chris Paul used to dominate that matchup. Chris Paul was supposed to be next in line to win a championship. Then, suddenly, it was Steph … that’s another relationship where [Curry] was like, ‘oh, I look up to you,’ and suddenly there is this disdain vs Steph. There’s a lot of those …”
He went on to say OKC Thunder player Russell Westbrook simply doesn’t like Steph. But if true the question is……..WHY?
Caitlyn Jenner Undergoes Sex Reassignment Surgery
Caitlyn Jenner is walking around a little freer these days. Nearly two years after publicly announcing her transition from male to female, she has undergone sex reassignment surgery.
The reality star revealed the big news in her new memoir “The Secrets of My Life,” out April 25.
According to RadarOnline, who obtained an exclusive excerpt, the surgery went down in January of this year and was “a success.” Writes Jenner, “I feel not only wonderful but liberated.”
The 67-year-old, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, apparently gets very candid in the memoir, reportedly writing that, for her, a penis “has no special gifts or use for me other than what I have said before, the ability to take a whiz in the woods. I just want to have all the right parts. I am also tired of tucking the damn thing in all the time.”
Jenner, who publicly announced her identity as a trans woman in an explosive interview with Diane Sawyer back in 2015, says she came clean so fans will stop asking about her nether regions.
“I am telling you because I believe in candor,” she explains. “So all of you can stop staring. You want to know, so now you know. Which is why this is the first time, and the last time, I will ever speak of it.”
Jenner has already undergone surgeries for facial feminization and breast augmentation. She says this was a “complex decision” due, in large part, to the health risks associated with the operation.
“I am going to live authentically for the first time in my life,” she recalls thinking in the hours after the surgeries, following an initial freak-out. “I am going to have an enthusiasm for life that I have not had in 39 years since the Olympics, almost two thirds of my life.”
Radar reports that Jenner earned a cool $4 million advance for her hot new book.

OOOPS! Ex-Marriott Employee Hacked Hotel Chain, Slashed Room Prices in Act of Revenge
Marriott hotels got nailed by a disgruntled ex-employee who allegedly hacked into the reservation system and cut room rates to as little as $12 a night ... costing the company big money.
According to court docs ... Marriott fired Juan Rodriguez last August, and must have had a hint he wouldn't go quietly because he was ordered to stay away from the company computer system.
Several weeks later, he allegedly hacked Marriott's booking network to practically give rooms away. Prosecutors say he slashed rates on about 3,000 rooms from $159 - $499 per night ... to $12 - $59.
Rodriguez got nabbed because the IP address he used for his remote access matched an IP address used at his NYC home ... according to docs.
Tons of people made out on the Robin Hood-esque maneuver ... it ended up costing Marriott more than $50,000! Rodriguez was busted last week and hit with 3 felonies, including computer tampering and computer trespass.
