Tinashe Sizzles On February Complex Cover

Landing her first magazine cover of 2016, underground favorite turned R&B vixen, Tinashe, is heating up the pages of Complex for their February/March 2016 issue.

“This is definitely a racy photo shoot,” the singer told the magazine. “This is probably one of my racier ones. The only other one that could rival this shoot is my Playboy shoot but I think this one’s actually hotter.”

Tinashe, who’s readying her sophomore album Joyride, whets appetites with the eye-popping pics—she sips from a crazy straw (while showing underboob), drifts in a punch bowl, and climbs out of a glass of ice water.

“With this cover in particular, as opposed to others that I’ve done in the past, I definitely had a little bit more fun, which was cool,” she said. “We got to shoot some stuff that was really colorful and lighthearted. I had a little bit more creative control than I normally have so I had a really, really great time on this shoot.”

ON THE STATUS OF ‘JOYRIDE’: “I would’ve said 95 percent, but now I’m going back to 80 percent. Rethinking some things in the 11th hour.”

ON RECORDING THE ALBUM IN HER CHILDHOOD BEDROOM: “It’s a place for my solitude. I’m very comfortable here. I can be pure inspiration here, and not be affected by any other factor, whether that’s a producer or anyone else’s opinion. It also makes me feel like I’m the same person I was before I had any level of success, which was when I was the most inspired creatively.”

ON SONGWRITING: “I matured faster. I’ve always been able to tap into the storytelling aspect of writing. As an artist you’re allowed to create stories that aren’t so literal to your life. I’m able to take stories that my friends have gone through, things I’ve witnessed, secondhand accounts, and narrate that.”

ON NOT HAVING A PLAN B: “I have no Plan B. I’ve set this up so that my entire life is based on this, and if this fails I have nothing else. No career options. No life options. I’ve sacrificed so much for this; failure is so beyond an option. There can only be setbacks. It’ll eventually work because it can’t not work. And it’s never a fully hopeless situation, because I’ll always have some support.”

ON MIDDLE SCHOOL: “When I was in middle school and everybody didn’t like me. I’d wonder, ‘What am I doing wrong?’ Because it’s hard not to feel like it’s a reflection of what I’m doing wrong. You have to try to remember that that’s not always the case. That it’s not always a reflection on you.”

ON DATING IN HIGH SCHOOL: “As far as the guys go, nobody wanted to like me or date me. They’d talk to me in secret and then at school they’d ignore me. Literally ignore me to my face. And psychologically that messes with you. It makes you feel that you must be genuinely unattractive if this person doesn’t want anyone to know that you even talk. That’s bad.”

Peter Thomas has been 'issued with a criminal summons' after alleged bar brawl

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Peter Thomas is facing questioning after an alleged bar brawl in his sports bar.

According to TMZ, police issued a criminal summons on Monday so they could speak to him about the alleged incident which took place in Sports One in Charlotte.

Thomas has not been charged with any crime, and will be served the summons relating to the event in the next few days.

The apparent altercation happened at the end of last month, and involved a gentleman named Brandon Link. Link alleged he was chatting to Thomas about renting out the bar for an event - but claimed things turned ugly.

He claimed the RHOA star  yelled: 'You think I give a f**k about your money!' and then threw him across the room.  Link alleges he hit his head on the corner of a tabl, and then immediately called police.

However Thomas's recollection of the event is somewhat different. He told TMZ Link was 'aggressively drunk' and had to be escorted from the bar by his security team. He said any head injury was down to Link slipping on ice and then hitting his head.

However Link claims he suffered a concussion. When officers turned up they did not see any reason to make an arrest at the bar.

Thomas owns the bar with his wife Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey.

#TEAMEMPIRE: Empire Season 2: Taraji P. Henson Reveals What It’s Really Like on Set

Behind-the-scenes looks into your favorite shows are always great, especially a megahit series like Empire. Luckily for fans, two of the show’s leading stars—Taraji P. Henson and Jussie Smollet—have given us a look at what went on when the cameras stopped rolling for the second-half of Empire season 2. But you may be surprised at what the stars were doing!

Jussie Smollett, who plays Jamal Lyon on the show, took to Instagram to share a video of co-star Taraji P. Henson—except Henson wasn’t aware that she was being filmed, because she was asleep! Not that she stayed that way, because once she realized Smollett was filming her—and given Smollet’s heavy breathing, that possibility scared him—she slapped him in the arm so hard that he dropped the camera. Apparently it happens often, though: “At this point it’s just a reflex 2 slap the $heit outta me [sic],” Smollet wrote to accompany the post. “I always get nervous when she’s about to wake up so you can see my heart beating through my chest. @tarajiphenson is hella regal asleep tho [sic].”

But it didn’t stop there, because Taraji P. Henson apparently saw the post and fired back with one of her own a few hours later! This time, Jussie Smollet was the one asleep! Henson, who sticks her head in at the end of the video to laugh at her unconscious co-star, wrote “GOT’IM!!! HA! [sic]” along with the hashtags, “Empire” and, “setlife.”

Empire’s very wide awake fans appreciated both the posts and the cast members’ friendship, giving them a combined 129,000 likes! Some of the comments included, “I love those posts you both keep me laughing,” and, “I just love your sense of enjoyment for life.” Many others also noted that this isn’t the first time they’ve trolled each other, and that they hope the pair keeps it up. One fan also retweeted a friend, saying, “My hope is that when we get older we will be friends like them.” That’s a sentiment we can certainly understand!

Meanwhile, fans are eagerly anticipating the mid-season premiere of the show, with Empire season 2 episode 11 returning to Fox on March 30.

K. Michelle and Toya Wright took shots at each other on Instagram this evening…and it all started with an emoji.

TheShadeRoom shared a photo of Toya Wright’s new book cover, which prompted K. Michelle to leave a shady emoji comment. If you don’t know, K. Michelle used to date Memphitz — who later married (and divorced) Toya Wright.

Back in K.’s ‘Love and Hip-Hop’ days, she revealed that she was a victim of domestic abuse at the hands of Memphitz. Toya publicly tried to discredit her…only for the truth to come out in K.’s favor.

Now there’s bad blood between them — which is why K. decided to poke fun at Toya’s book (below).

Lady Gaga to Sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl 50  But will Rihanna and Justin Timberlake join the Halftime Show?

Lady Gaga is set to sing the national anthem at this Sunday’s Super Bowl.

via AP: The NFL told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Gaga will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, where the Carolina Panthers will take on the Denver Broncos.

Academy Award winning actress Marlee Matlin will perform in American Sign Language during the national anthem.

Super Bowl 50 will air on CBS, and halftime show performers include Coldplay and Beyonce.

Oh, and celebrity hair stylist Elgin Charles tweeted this out earlier today:

Usher, Killer Mike & Jermaine Dupri Kick Off Black History Month In ATL

R&B crooner Usher, producer Jermaine Dupri, rapper/activist Killer Mike and rapper Big Krit celebrated the first day of Black History Month in a major way.

The four entertainers made their way to Citizens Trust Bank in Atlanta to open up new personal accounts at the small, black owned financial institution. In doing that, they hope to inspire others to start banking small and “banking black.”

Killer Mike said on Instagram, “Four Entertainers Four New Accounts! #BankSmall #BankLocal #BankBlack #CitizensTrustBank #happyblackhistorymonth”

Sacramento Kings Pull Monkey Tees After DeMarcus Cousins Complains

*The Sacramento Kings nixed a T-shirt giveaway Monday night after some in the organization, including star DeMarcus Cousins, found the shirts to be racially insensitive.

The team was trying to honor the Chinese Year of the Monkey by placing black shirts featuring a purple monkey on seats at Monday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Lunar New Year celebration begins Feb. 8.

However, Monday was also the first day of Black History Month. Cousins recognized the optics immediately and took issue.

Bucks TV analyst and former player Marques Johnson described the situation on Facebook.

“I walk into the building and DeMarcus Cousins calls me over to an animated discussion he’s having with Kings operations people,” he wrote. “He ask me, ‘Olskool, what you think about this T Shirt? Told him a little insensitive on 1st day of Black History Month’. They pulled the shirts…”

Staff gathered all the shirts before fans arrived at Sleep Train Arena.

“We all need a lesson in sensitivity,” Kings president Chris Granger said, according to the Sacramento Bee. “In an effort to celebrate Chinese New Year, we had some concerns about the T-shirt giveaway, so we pulled them all before the doors opened. Certainly we don’t want to offend anybody, and we acted as soon as we heard the concern.”

Johnson took to Twitter to applaud Cousins for speaking out.

There is a league-wide initiative this season for teams to commemorate the Chinese New Year, and the rest of the Kings’ Lunar New Year celebration continued as scheduled, the Bee reported.

Cousins, who recently was named to his second All-Star Game, was out Monday night with a sprained left ankle.

Oh? Justin Bieber Spotted Drinking Alone In A Gay Bar Without Entourage – Curious About Boys or Hiding From Paparazzi?

Justin Bieber was spotted drowning away his sorrows at a gay bar in West Hollywood called Club Cobra over the weekend. Apparently, Biebs was drinking alone – although he did bring along one body-guard, which is a huge difference from his normally ridiculously large entourage. It’s unclear why Justin was at the bar, and why he was drinking alone.

There really are only two explanations. Justin Bieber was stressed out and desperately needed a drink – and didn’t care what kind of bar Club Cobra was. Or, maybe all of the dating drama he has endured over the past few months has him curious about the other sex. Seriously, no one would blame him if he decided to switch teams after the never-ending Selena Gomez saga.

But, the odds of Justin Bieber questioning his sexuality are slim to none – because he wasn’t trying to hide the fact that he was partying solo at a gay bar. Biebs even took a picture with the bouncer, holding up a sign stating that he was at Club Cobra – which he had to have known was going to be posted straight to social media.

Actually, in Justin’s defense – the bouncer told TMZ that he didn’t think Justin even realized Cobra was a gay bar because the place was empty and the dancers hadn’t taken the stage yet. We can’t help but wonder what Justin would have done if a bunch of men hit the stage in front of him and started stripping.

Would he have high-tailed it out of there and then gotten accused of being a homophobic? Or would he have stuck around and spurred gay rumors? It’s really a lose-lose situation.

So, why do you think Justin was drinking alone in a gay bar? Where were his friends? If he knew it was a gay bar would he have gone inside?

SUSPECT? Beyoncé Divorce: Jay-Z Wants Post-Nup Agreement – Afraid of Cheating Allegations?

Are Beyoncé and Jay Z headed for divorce – that buzz has made the rounds for quite some time. But it is alleged that Jay is rushing to get a post-nuptial agreement in place as quickly as possible, afraid cheating allegations may surface.

Apparently Jay and Bey-Bey decided it was time to make sure all their bases were covered and called in the lawyers. An insider revealed to Radar Online that a legal team has “taken months to go through all their assets with a fine-tooth comb.” There’s no reason for alarm the source says – Beyoncé and Jay Z just want to update everything.

There’s an estimated $1 billion at stake in the event of a Queen Bey and Jazzy divorce. Sure, Sasha Fierce and Jay have a pre-nuptial agreement, but a massive joint empire has been created since the couple married in 2008. If Beyonce finds out Jay Z has been cheating do you really think the “Single Ladies” singer is going to calmly sit down and divide up the post “I Do” assets?

But is Jay Z pushing for a post-nup because the uber-successful entrepreneur can see a divorce brewing? Has he been cheating all along? Did Rihanna and Jay have an affair despite all the denials? If RiRi and Jay were together did the relationship truly ever end?

What kinds of secrets could come out about Jay in divorce court? Has Jay Z been cheating on Beyoncé all along? Yes, Queen B is a prima donna, even maybe a little cray-cray, but she’s been faithful to Jazzy. Can the same be said about Jay?

There had to be a reason Solange Knowles was beating on her brother-in-law in an elevator. Was it because little sister discovered Jay was unfaithful to Beyonce?

Previous reports have revealed that Beyonce and Jay moved into separate bedrooms at opposites of their brand new mansion. Those in the know have revealed that Bey and Jay live completely separate lives.

It could be that Beyoncé Knowles and Jay Z are just being prudent and proactive in updating their financial arrangements. It’s always a good idea, especially when you’re mega wealthy, to keep tabs on your assets.

But it could be that Jay is making certain that everything that belongs to him is spelled out in an iron-clad post-nuptial document before Beyonce gets details on Jay’s alleged extracurricular activities.

She’s always been easy on the eyes, and Naomie Harris is nothing short of stunning on the front page of the November 2015 issue of Cosmopolitan UK.

The 39-year-old Moneypenny actress is gearing up for the release of “Spectre,” and she's convinced that a Bond girl can indeed also be a feminist.

Naomie explains, “I think you absolutely can now. Sam [Mendes, director] loves strong, multidimensional women; that’s incredibly important to him. Barbara Broccoli [daughter of original Bond producer Albert] is at the helm of the franchise too, and she’s a strong woman who as a big say in how the characters are developed.”

Remember when we told you that Wendy Williams BLASTED Terrence Howard and suggested that he be fired from “Empire” for his previous domestic abuse cases?

“Between him allegedly being abusive to women in his personal life, him giving an 18-page nutty interview to Rolling Stone magazine, where he talked about all kinds of nuttiness… And, again, going back to how he allegedly treats women in his life.”

“It [has] usurped his entire situation at ‘Empire,’ and the show could do without Terrence Howard,” Williams said to applause. “I’m sorry. It’s the way I feel.”

Well Terrence is responding to the drama and giving a surprising response to the talk show host.

Caitlyn Jenner complains about having to wear makeup

Watching Caitlyn Jenner transition to a woman and learning about being openly trans has been at times like watching a child learn to take its first steps as many of the new things Jenner learned seemed totally new and wondrous for her. And in a new video clip of Jenner and her daughter, Kim Kardashian, fans watch as Jenner has to deal with the daily expectation as a woman to wear makeup.

During a recent livestream for her new website/app, Kim Kardashian shared the camera with Jenner and explained to her fans that she’d be sharing makeup tips, like how to remove your makeup every night before bed.

“I would be very into that, because I do that every night and I don’t think I do it right … now that I am forced into wearing makeup every day,” said Jenner.

However, the video turned awkward when Kardashian replied, “You’re not forced. This … was a choice.”

“Um, I am forced because Kim Kardashian told me I gotta ‘rock it every day.’  If I go out the door and don’t at least look good and presentable, they’re going to use that shot forever,” Jenner responded.

Well, this is definitely one of those times where fans are getting to see that Jenner’s decision to transition was the right choice for her, life as a woman also has its trappings because now Jenner is subject to all of the beauty standards that other women are subject to. In fact, she even points out, she has it even harder than a lot of women because she’s surrounded by a family of women whose careers have been built on their looks.

Yankees' CC Sabathia enters alcohol rehab center, to MISS PLAYOFFS!

CC Sabathia announced on Monday he is entering an alcohol rehabilitation center "to receive the professional care and assistance I need to treat my disease," a surprising development on the eve of the New York Yankees' playoff opener.

Sabathia, 35, was a likely candidate to start an American League Division Series game if the Yankees prevail in their wild card game against Houston on Monday.

Instead, he will attack a personal problem that he only now is revealing to the public.

“I love baseball and I love my teammates like brothers, and I am also fully aware that I am leaving at a time when we should all be coming together for one last push toward the World Series," Sabathia said in a statement released by the Yankees shortly before their workout began Monday.

"It hurts me deeply to do this now, but I owe it to myself and to my family to get myself right. I want to take control of my disease, and I want to be a better man, father and player."

Sabathia's departure leaves Ivan Nova as the lone Yankee starter with playoff experience - Nova started one game in the 2011 Division Series against Detroit. While 2015 was not Sabathia's finest season - he finished 6-10 with a 4.73 ERA - he did pitch 167 innings after injuries limited him to just eight starts and 46 innings in 2014.

"What CC is dealing with is a life issue," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said Monday. "It's bigger than the game tomorrow. (Getting help) is the most important thing right now."

Sabathia etched himself into Yankees lore with his gutsy performance in the 2009 playoffs, winning three of his four starts - all on three days' rest - and earning AL Championship Series MVP honors. The Yankees won the World Series in the first year of his seven-year, $161 million contract.

Diddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment is attempting to get back into the Music Industry by Partnering With Epic Records.

Sony Music company announced that Sean “Diddy” Combs’ 22-year-old music house Bad Boy Entertainment has teamed with Epic Records, according to Billboard. Reportedly, the partnership will include distribution of two forthcoming Diddy albums. The deal will also provide a home for Bad Boy artists covering customary label services including promotion, marketing, sales and distribution. According to the site, to celebrate the signing, Diddy will perform new music at the upcoming BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta.

Offensive or NOT! Who you think is AMERICA’S FIRST FAMILY?

Comso needs their ass kicked for this. Cosmopolitan Magazine stirred up a hornets nest on social media when it called the Kardashians “America’s First Family.” The cover photo of Cosmopolitan’s November 50th Anniversary edition features a “sprawl” of all the Kardashian and Jenner women with a headline, “America’s First Family.” Kris, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian, along with Kendall and Kylie Jenner, wear white button-up shirts and “sultry glares and lavish smiles” in the photo, while the subtitle promises “16 Pages! Like You’ve Never Seen Them Before” about the Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars.

The First Family headline might have been meant as a “teasing” description of the “huge cultural phenomenon” the Kardashian-Jenner clan have become, but plenty of people took the claim very seriously. The headline was taken by some people to be a “deliberate belittling” of the actual First Family, President Obama, First Lady Michelle, and their two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

“Black-oriented media and websites,” in particular, were outspoken in their disapproval of the tag, but outrage spread well beyond media. Twitter has erupted with hundreds of tweets expressing the dismay of people from many cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Twitter user Kenzie isn’t a fan of the Obamas, but she still says “Shame on Cosmopolitan” for their use of the First Family title for the Kardashian clan.

Twitter user Maria Lia Calvo told Cosmopolitan to delete their magazine.

Eric Wolfson said there’s only one First Family of America, and posted a photo of the Obamas just in case his message wasn’t clear that it’s not the Keeping Up With the Kardashians family.

But USA Today reports that Cosmo suggests it’s not so far fetched to imagine the Kardashians as the real First Family, as well as the pop culture one. An emailed statement quoted by USA Today points out that Kim Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, is still aiming for the White House as President of the United States. The statement, written by Cosmopolitan spokeswoman Lauren Demitry, assures the reader that Cosmo is “teasing,” before going on to defend the editorial choice.

“We are teasing! Though who knows, if Kanye runs for president then we may be soothsayers. The Kardashians and Jenners have more digital followers than any other family, more than 350 million and counting. They are a huge cultural phenomenon. What we do know is there is nothing like the cover of a magazine to provoke a national conversation.”

That’s something to think about!

New Video: D∆WN's "Billie Jean x Dance

Prolific artist and trendsetter D∆WN is back at it with another eye-popping visual. This time, she's linked up with director/producer Monty Marsh and the Guerilla Filmworx team for the stunning double featurette “Billie Jean x Dance.”

Much like “Titans x James Dean” (her previous effort) it's two videos for the price of one...and we're here for it.

The experience all starts with “Billie Jean” which places Dawn in front of a red backdrop while wearing a "barely" there thong, showing off her ample bottom.

Next up......“Dance” showcases tons of colored smoke and some interesting camera moves. Like like most of Dawn's work....the choreography is the centerpiece. Folks really sleep on her as a dancer....but she's really good.

Speaking about the clip, directer Monty said, “True to form, Dawn always comes ready to work which makes collaborating effortless." Dawn added,  “It’s always exciting to bring the art to the next level and stimulate the viewers visual palette.”

Here's another tidbit.....this is Dawn's 9th video and she's STILL independent. The sista is doing it for herself!

Both songs appear on The Red Era, the third disc in Dawn's trilogy. So far.....she has not revealed a release date.

Plenty of Tupac Shakur handwritten memorabilia has been surfacing this year and the latest piece of poetry has the biggest price tag yet.

Circa 1995, the late legendary rap icon wrote a Death Row employee a passionate letter detailing how jail is for the birds and pondering whether or not “Thug Life is dead.”

Tupac Shakur’s declared “Thug Life” was dead to him in an emotional letter that included a road map for his “homiez” to make it out of the hood — and that letter is now up for sale.

Tupac’s 5 page correspondence to a Death Row employee was written in 1995 while he was in jail for rape. The letter includes some deep thoughts about being ready to let someone else rep the thug life — which he famously tatted on his torso.

He wrote, “U must play the game, not let the game play u. A regular Playa plays women, a Boss Playa plays life. A Boss Playa is a thinker, a leader, a builder, a moneymaker, a souljah, a teacher and most of all, a Man! ”

Tupac also said, “I want all my homiez to know there is another level.”

The letter is being sold by a memorabilia site called Moments in Time, and we’re told the $225,000 price is fixed. First come, first serve!
