#RHoA: NeNe Leakes criticized for lack of variety and she being the only model in clothing store

NeNe Leakes has launched her own clothing store in Atlanta based on the exposure she experienced after starring on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Like her co-star, Kandi Burruss, NeNe felt it was time to launch her clothing store in the city. She opened Swagg in Atlanta, and she’s been using her Instagram profile to promote the new items she’s getting for her customers. However, it sounds like some followers are growing tired of seeing NeNe promote the clothing.

Her strategy is to pose for photos in the clothing, so fans can see the clothing on the body. While this is a good strategy, it’s also limiting as NeNe has a certain body type. Despite getting some criticism from The Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers, it sounds like Leakes is trying to use a model to market her store.

On Twitter, NeNe Leakes told a follower to pay attention, as she’s been using a model to promote her clothing. This model is a different body type and has a different figure, so it makes sense that she’s trying to promote the clothing differently.

NeNe is probably happy busy working on her business now that the Bravo producers are gearing up for another season. She’s probably happy that Kim Zolciak isn’t returning to the show.

#HipHopNews: Pusha-T Squashes Beef With Drake: ‘It’s All Over’

Pusha-T may have promised a “surgical summer,” but it looks like his feud with Drake is already over.

In an interview with Vanity Fair this week, the G.O.O.D. Music president declared their beef dead. “I mean, you know. These conversations have been had and, to my knowledge, it’s all over,” he told the magazine. “It’s all over with. I mean, listen: I’m ready to be back to the music for real. Just feeding my base, that’s it. That’s the most important thing to me at all times.”

When asked what was gained from the rivalry, he admits that he’s unsure. “I don’t even know. I don’t know what was lost or what was gained,” explained Push.

He also acknowledged Drake’s track record as a hitmaker, but maintains they’re in different lanes. “I feel like at the end of the day, I know that I never want to make a Drake record,” he added. “I know that I never want to make a Kanye West record. Really, to be honest with you.”

Drake has reportedly recorded a response to Pusha-T’s “The Story of Adidon,” but J Prince said he intervened and told him not to release it. “I saw it going in a place that I feel would have ended his career if Drake would have put out the song that he had on him,” the Rap-A-Lot Records CEO told “Sway in the Morning.” “And definitely would have hurt families. We not in it for that. That’s not Drake’s character. We not in business to tear our brother, fellow man down to that extent.”

Goldbergs and Modern Family Actor Jackson Odell, 20, Found Dead at California Home

Jackson Odell has died at the age of 20. The musician and actor, best known for his role as Ari Caldwell on ABC’s The Goldbergs from 2013 to 2015, was found unresponsive at his Tarzana, California, residence on Friday, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office confirmed. to press His cause of death is pending an autopsy.

“The Odell family has lost our beloved son and brother, Jackson Odell, on Friday,” his family in a statement posted to his Twitter page. “He will always be a shining light and a brilliant, loving and talented soul. He had so much more to share. Our family will always carry that truth forward. Our wish is that the rest of the world who knew and loved him does as well.”

The family continued, “We are now going to try to make sense of our immeasurable loss privately. We will not be making anymore statements.”

Actress Ariel Winter mourned his loss on social media, writing about their time together on Modern Family.

“Devastated to hear about the passing of Jackson Odell,” she wrote. “I knew Jackson since we were 12 years old, and he even appeared in an episode of Modern Family. We didn’t talk much as we entered our high school years, but I’m glad I got to spend time with him before his end. Very hard for me to hear about anyone passing away, but someone so young really saddens me. Sending love to his family and friends.”

Maury Invites Drake On Show To Take Paternity Test

Pusha-T may have exposed Drake as a father, and now Maury Povich wants to get to the bottom of it.

The talk show host has invited the “God’s Plan” rapper on his show to take a paternity test and prove if he really has a secret child. “I’m praying it happens,” Maury told TMZ while at LAX. “Drake, come on. New season starts next month. We’re ready.”

On his diss track “The Story of Adidon,” Pusha claimed Drake fathered a son with former porn star Sophie Brussaux. “A baby’s involved, it’s deeper than rap,” raps Pusha. “You are hiding a child, let that boy come home / Deadbeat motherfucker playing border patrol / Adonis is your son and he deserves more than an adidas press run / Love that baby, respect that girl / Forget she’s a porn star, let her be your world.”

#POLITICS: John McCain to The G7 members: Americans Stand With You Even If Trump Doesn’t

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) stepped up on Twitter to reassure members of the Group of Seven that U.S. citizens are still their allies even if President Donald Trump no longer appears to be.

McCain tweeted on behalf of the nation after a tense G7 summit in Quebec that left Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sniping at one another. Trump even threatened to withhold endorsement of a joint G7 statement on the meeting.

While Trump initially tweeted about the “great meetings and relationships” in Quebec after he left the summit early, Trudeau later vowed at the meeting that Canadians “will not be pushed around” in a trade face-off with the United States. He said that Canada is “absolutely” ready to impose retaliatory tariffs after Trump last week initiated a 10 percent aluminum and 25 percent steel tariff on imports from Mexico, Canada and the European Union.

Trump fired back that he was surprised by the prime minister’s comments because he seemed so “meek and mild” at the summit. He also called him “very dishonest,” but failed to explain what he meant.

At the summit, Trump complained that allies were treating America “like a piggy bank” and he vowed to stick by his tariffs. But he then suddenly suggested instead that the countries consider dropping all tariffs.

The Real reason Why Budweiser Backed Out Of Jay-Z's 'Made In America' Music Fest

When Philadelphia hosts the annual Made In America music festival Labor Day weekend curated by Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj will be on hand. And so will Post Malone, Meek Mill, Diplo, Zedd and roughly five dozen other acts. But the beer brand that helped get the 7-year old annual event off the ground won't be there.

Budweiser—which used to spend millions of dollars staging and promoting the fest—opted not come back this year as it sets its sights on other music priorities, like country music-themed events held at its own breweries, and music partnerships with the NBA. Jay-Z's Roc Nation, which produces Made in America, announced the full lineup this week, along with a sponsor lineup that includes Abercrombie & Fitch, Citi, Puma and American Airlines. (Citi is the only returning sponsor.)

Sponsors enter and leave music events all the time. So what's the big deal about Bud not coming back? In this case, it's significant because the brew once dedicated a major portion of its all-important summer marketing calendar to the festival, seeing it as a way to reach younger, more diverse drinkers. Also, Bud's music moves are worth watching because Anheuser-Busch InBev spends more money than any other marketer sponsoring music tours, festivals and venues. The brewer accounted for 51 percent of the $1.54 billion shelled out last year in North America, according to according to sponsorship consultancy ESP-IEG. (Uber came in second at 21 percent.)

Budweiser VP Ricardo Marques offers this explanation for the decision to walk away from Made in America: "We are realizing that music is being consumed in many different ways today and we want to keep up with trends and how consumers are behaving today." That includes investing more in country music. According to the brewer's research, fans at country music events spend more on beer than at similarly sized events featuring other genres, Marques says.

"As Budweiser's contract expired in 2018, Roc Nation and Budweiser are proud of the countless music moments created for hundreds of thousands of fans," a Roc Nation spokeswoman said in a statement to Ad Age. "Roc Nation and Budweiser are confident the event will continue to make cultural history for many years to come."

Eddie Murphy Playing ‘Dolemite’ Star Rudy Ray Moore In Netflix Pic

Eddie Murphy is about to return to the screen for the first time in awhile. He’s starring in Dolemite Is My Name, a Netflix film which begins production June 12 about the life of Rudy Ray Moore, the star of the blaxploitation Dolemite films. Hustle and Flow‘s Craig Brewer is directing a script by Scott Alexander & Larry Karaszewski, the writing team behind such quirky biographical films as Big Eyes, Ed Wood and The People Vs. Larry Flynt. John Davis and John Fox are producing with Murphy, who has been eager to play this role for a decade.

Moore worked in a Hollywood record store in 1970 when he began hearing obscene stories of pimp and hustler named Dolemite. He started a club act where he became Dolemite. He then began generating records that mixed humor and a ghetto fantasy character, burnishing the legend. While too racy to be put on display in record stores, the records became a big inner city underground hit. The proceeds allowed Moore to finance the 1975 film Dolemite, which he starred in as a kung fu-capable pimp ghetto hero who stuck it to The Man. Moore followed with three sequels. He continues to be an influence for the likes of hip hop entrepreneur Snoop Dogg, and he had something of a comeback starring alongside the hip hop group Insane Clown Posse in Big Money Hustlas in 2000.

Ashley Jacobs Allegedly Outed As Escort On Southern Charm Season Finale

We all saw a sneak peek of Southern Charm's season five finale in the premiere episode where Kathryn Dennis was fighting with Ashley Jacobs outside an event but now we have some tea on why it happened.

In the trailer you can also see Jennifer ask Austen “did you just call her a hooker?” which is a reference to someone asking Thomas Ravenel if his new girlfriend is an escort during the finale party.

Here's some background to those claims. On this week's Juicy Scoop podcast, Heather McDonald said she heard through the grape vine that Thomas and Ashley allegedly met through Landon Clements because she too was a call girl which is how she met Ashley and her first husband. After she introduced the pair, T-Rav then (allegedly) hired her to be his girlfriend on the upcoming season.

Doesn't that explain why he barely likes her and why she's thirsty to be on the show?

Ashley apparently has a history of dating wealthy older men in Santa Barbara and is a professional gold digger. Just look at her Instagram or Facebook and you'll see old photos of her on private jets and yachts, that a nurse definitely couldn't have paid for. Apparently she actually is a registered hospice nurse which is probably how she met her clients.

It gets juicier. After they began the show, Thomas apparently wanted to quit during filming but his new girlfriend threatened to expose their situation which is why he continued shooting and looked so fucking miserable all season.

This also supports Luzanne Otte's tea who claimed that Thomas broke up with Ashley to date her but after she dumped him for verbally abusing her, he then took the alleged escort back.

That's the tea about Ashley's past and it looks like it comes out in the finale and probably will be discussed at length at the reunion. Thomas isn't attending because of his sexual assault allegations but his girlfriend will apparently still go without him.

Dwayne Johnson for Rolling Stone! He Says He "Harbors No Ill Will" Against Vin Diesel Then Takes It Back!

Dwayne Johnson had one hell of a 2017, and if you thought he had any plans of slowing down this year, think again. The 45-year-old actor is Rolling Stone magazine's April issue cover star, and in the accompanying interview, Dwayne opened up about everything from his family to his feud with Vin Diesel to his potential run for the presidency. The magazine hits stands on April 6, but if you don't want to wait until then, read Dwayne's full interview here.

On his decades-long battle with depression: "I've had a few bouts of depression, [which] happens to a lot of us. Around 2008, 2009, I was going through a lot of personal sh*t that was really f*cking me up. I was just struggling, man; struggling to figure out what kind of dad am I gonna be, realizing I'd done a piss-poor job of cultivating relationships, and a lot of my friends had fallen by the wayside. I was just scared. Personally, everything was in a very bad and challenging place, and then professionally, I couldn't bet on myself; I wasn't used to that. I'd always felt like I could put in the work and fix the scenario with my own two hands. No one's going to see me play a borderline psychopath suffering from depression. I have friends I admire, Oscar winners, who approach our craft with the idea of 'Sometimes it comes out a little darker and nobody will see it, but it's for me.' Great, but I have other things I can do for me. I'm gonna take care of you, the audience. You pay your hard-earned money — I don't need to bring my dark sh*t to you. Maybe a little, but if it's in there, we're gonna overcome it."

On whether he's actually running for president: "Look, people are very excited, and it's so flattering that they're excited. I think it's also a function of being very unsatisfied with our current president, but this is a skill set that requires years and years of experience on a local level, on a state level, and then on a national level. I have the utmost respect for our country and that position, and I'm not delusioned in any way to think, 'Oh, absolutely, if [Donald] Trump can do it, I can do it, and I'll see you in 20-whatever, get ready.' Not at all. In a lot of people's minds, what Trump has proved is that anybody can run for president, and in a lot of people's minds, what he's also proved is that not everybody should run for president. What I'm sensing now is that we have to pivot back to people who have a deep-rooted knowledge of American history and politics and experience in policy and how laws get made. I think that pivot has to happen."

On what he and girlfriend Lauren Hashian plan on naming their new baby: "We're thinking about Tia. It's simple, it's Polynesian-ish, and I feel like she might come out looking like a Tia," Lauren said. "I mean, she could come out any which way, because we're complete opposites."

"It was funny — we were having dinner with Emily Blunt, who I'm getting ready to work with [on Disney's Jungle Cruise], and I said, 'What do you think of Tia?'" Dwayne added. "She went, 'No one's gonna f*ck with a Tia Johnson.'"

On his feud with Fast and Furious costar Vin Diesel: "We were not in any scenes together [in The Fate of the Furious]. Vin and I had a few discussions including an important face-to-face in my trailer. What I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach movie-making and collaborating. It took me some time, but I'm grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not. Right now, I'm concentrating on making the [Hobbs and Shaw] spinoff as good as it can be, but I wish him all the best and I harbor no ill will there just because of the clarity we have. Actually, you can erase that last part about no ill will. We'll just keep it with the clarity."

RHoA: Sheree Whitfield answers your questions about Her Prison Man!

For the first time, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Sheree Whitfield is finally answering random fan’s questions about her racy relationship with her infamously imprisoned beau, Tyrone Gilliams, a man she’s been seeing for several years.

According to Whitfield, the bond between them is as deep and unbreakable as ever.

Whitfield is so secure in this relationship with a federal prison inmate — who tried to defraud the U.S. Department of the Treasury and got smacked with a 10-year bid — that she gave inside access to the Bravo cameras to film her private phone conversations with the man.

The 48-year-old Cleveland native was invited by Andy Cohen to stop by “Watch What Happens Live,” where fans expressed curiousity about Gilliam’s financial stability and his means to provide Whitfield an upscale life upon his release from confinement.

“I saw that you got a call from your honey, Tyrone,” a caller inquired.

“He was telling you all these things that he was going to do for you when he gets out of jail, and I was curious, financially, how is he gonna be able to do these things? Does he still have money that he’s kept from his embezzling days?”

“Ohhh, his embezzling days?” a stunned Whitfield retorted. “He’s definitely OK, so if I’m not worried about it, you probably shouldn’t be either.”

She has not been shy at all about how serious her feelings for him have become lately.

“I see myself getting married again in the future. I love the institution of marriage a lot. I feel like Tyrone may be the one,” a bubbly Whitfield confided to “The Daily Dish” recently.

“I know this man. I trust this man. I can talk to him about anything. He respects me and loves me unconditionally … I feel like he’s my best friend. I feel like he’s my soulmate and what we have, these feelings weren’t just based on a physical relationship. We’ve gotten to know each other on a more emotional and mental level,” Whitfield concluded.

#Empire: Recap: Andre’s Confession Pushes Cookie To Her Breaking Point

Andre’s huge confession to Lucious sent the Lyon family reeling on the April 4 episode of ‘Empire.’ Will the Lyon family be able to survive this betrayal?

Lucious has a dream and remembers what Andre said to him while he was drugged. The next day, Lucious wants Thirsty to find out everything about the night his car blew up. He’s starting to suspect something’s up with Andre. His eldest son better be scared because the old Lucious is back and ready to reclaim his throne and Cookie. He’s ready to go all-in with Cookie, but after what they said to each other at the cabin, she’s not so sure. “You’re my one,” Lucious says. “I’m your one.” Cookie’s going to let him roar a little bit, but she wants everyone to know: “I still run this b*tch.”

Silicon Valley tech guru Kelly Patel is stopping by Empire to make a deal. At the meeting, Lucious takes over, leaving Cookie in the corner. But Cookie’s not going to stay quiet. She knows he wants to make a deal, so she wants to cut out all the BS. But there’s something Kelly’s not telling the Lyons. He’s secretly working with Eddie!

Tiana’s got a new song with Jamal and Hakeem. She’s getting the full makeover treatment with Eddie’s wife. Eddie is super focused on making Tiana a huge star, so that she makes Eddie a whole lot of money. There’s one thing that’s standing in the way: Hakeem! Tiana and Hakeem are back on.

Cleaning Up Messes

Cookie and Lucious have a big problem on their hands. One of Empire’s former girl groups, TBD (Three Black Divas), are pissed they were left out of the 20 for 20. In a leaked interview, they trash Cookie and Empire. They say their new album is going to spill all the tea on Empire. Cookie vows to fix it. Cookie, Becky, and Porsha show up to a mall to find the girls of TBD performing. Cookie hands them a contract for a reunion album. They’re all good with this contract if they get an apology from Lucious. The girls come and meet with Lucious, who comes bearing lavish gifts. He apologizes, but they call it a faux-pology. They’re pissed Cookie left them out of the 20 for 20. They’re jealous of Cookie, too! They kept Lucious “busy” while Cookie was in jail. The meeting just goes south from there. He’s glad to see them go. Needless to say, Cookie is furious. Lucious doesn’t want anyone to tell him how to do business. While Cookie says she’ll clean up his mess, Lucious promises to get it down the old-fashioned Empire way.

Together, Lucious and Cookie do fix the situation. They acquire the label the girls had signed with to release their diss track. They’re officially owned by Empire. BOOM. Before the meeting’s over, Lucious makes the girls apologize to his “queen.” They do and really make a comeback at the showcase.

During a recording session, Eddie has a heart-to-heart with Tiana. If she’s going to make it big, she has to be all in. No distractions. To Eddie, Hakeem is one of those. He needs to be the only man in Tiana’s life for now. Dude needs to chill.

With Angelo’s death still so fresh, Jamal drops out of the showcase. Becky tells him that she’s pregnant and hasn’t told J Poppa. Later at the showcase, Becky breaks things off with him. Tiana and Hakeem’s relationship is in a really good place until Hakeem proposes to her! She takes Eddie’s advice and tells Hakeem that she has to think about it. She can’t have any distractions right now.

These Are My Confessions…

Andre goes to church and knows he needs to confess his big sin. He promises Shine that he’ll keep his name out of the conversation. The Lyon family convenes for dinner after the showcase. They tell Andre that they still want him to take over Empire, but Lucious is shooting daggers at his son. The family dinner just gets even more awkward from there. Jamal’s mad that he’s been benched, while Hakeem is upset about Tiana. Finally, Andre asks to see his father privately.

The episode ends with Andre finally coming clean about how he almost killed Lucious. After confessing, he grabs a gun and hands it to his father. “Do what you have to do,” Andre says. Lucious attacks his son in a blind rage and trashes his office. He yells over and over, “It was him!” He breaks down in Cookie’s arms. Jamal is furious with Andre. Hakeem is a little bit more sympathetic, but he’s extremely disappointed.

Cookie and Lucious talk in the wake of the shocking news. Cookie begs Lucious to not hurt Andre. The stress of everything finally breaks Cookie. She starts to faint and can’t catch her breath. Lucious calls for help. Is Cookie having a heart attack just like her father did?! Start a prayer group for Cookie, please!

Luke James Staying busy and consistent with acting lately, the R&B Singer has found the ability to do both with his role on the hit FOX show, ‘STAR.’

With the series returning last week, they have released new singles off Season 2 and they include some new gems from Wolf James. First is a super fly remake of Donell Jones classic single “Where I Wanna Be,” off his 1999 album of the same title. Luke gives the R&B fan favorite a modern update with his smooth cover that should greatly please fans old and new.

#HIPHOPNEWS: Cardi B Promises “Surprises” As She Releases “Invasion Of Privacy” Tracklist

Cardi B is evidently doing most of the heavy lifting on her upcoming debut album, Invasion Of Privacy. 

The Atlantic Records signee took to Instagram on Wednesday (April 4) to share the tracklist, which only features two guest spots — Migos and 21 Savage.  The album boasts 13 tracks, including her smash hit “Bodak Yellow.”

CDC scientist Dr Timothy Cunningham has been found dead in Atlanta after mysterious disappearance likely drowned, police claim!

A Centers for Disease and Control employee who mysteriously vanished two months ago was found dead in an Atlanta river and likely drowned, police said Thursday.

Timothy Cunningham, a promising official who aided the CDC in responses to Ebola and Zika outbreaks, went missing in February after leaving work early at his office in Chamblee, Ga.

Cunningham told co-workers he felt sick and planned to finish working at home. But in the hours and days before his disappearance, Cunningham, 35, made a number of odd comments.

Atlanta police confirmed Thursday that his body was found in the Chattahoochee River in the northwest area of the city. Authorities say he likely drowned and there were no signs of any marks or injuries that would lead to indications of foul play. He also had no signs of any other ailments that could have contributed to his death.

Several men fishing along the river discovered Cunningham's remains on the riverbank on Tuesday. Rough currents made it hard for fire officials to recover his body, which took several days to identify because it was in the water for nearly two months, Fulton County chief medical examiner Jan Gorniak said.

Fire officials had previously searched the river after Cunningham's disappearance but did not find anything.

Authorities said Tuesday that a 35-year-old doctor, who has been missing for two weeks, told co-workers he was expecting a promotion and was disappointed when he was passed over for it

Gorniak is waiting for a toxicology test, which would say whether any drugs were in his system, before making a final ruling on his death.

Atlanta Police Major Michael O'Connor said Cunningham was found in his favorite jogging suit and had crystals in his pockets, adding it was a hobby of his to collect stones and gems.

O'Connor said the one thing he still doesn't understand is how Cunningham ended up in the river.

"We may never be able to tell you," he said, noting there wasn't any surveillance footage in the area that would help piece together his final movements.

O'Connor said he anticipates closing the case within a month but that could change if new tips come in that point the investigation in another direction.

From the start, Cunningham's disappearance was mysterious and spurred conspiracy theories. But he did not have access to classified material, and the CDC says it does not believe that his employment would be the cause of any foul play.

A day before he went missing, Cunningham allegedly told his neighbor "to erase his cellphone number from my cellphone," the neighbor, Viviana Tory, told CBS.

The day of his disappearance, police say Cunningham called his sister, who said he sounded different that day, and his mother, who didn't answer.

When his family did try to reconnect, they couldn't get a hold of him and asked another family member to check on him at his house. The relative couldn't find Cunningham and noticed his cellphone and car keys were still in the house.

His dog, Mr. Bojangles, was left unattended and his car sat parked in the garage.

"None of this makes sense," his brother, Anterio Cunningham, told Atlanta's Fox 5.  "He wouldn't just evaporate like this and leave his dog alone and have our mother wondering and worrying like this. He wouldn't."

Authorities had offered a $10,000 reward for information in the case. Our condolences amd prayers to his Family!

Joan Collins in Final Talks to Star on ‘American Horror Story’ Season 8

Actress would join leads Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters in next installment of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series

Jessica Lange who? Ryan Murphy is working on snagging a new legend for “American Horror Story”: Joan Collins.

Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter in a story published Wednesday that he’s “throwing in Joan Collins” for the upcoming eighth season of the FX anthology series. But TheWrap has learned that announcement was premature, as the actress is currently in “final talks” to move into a leading role in Murphy land.

“The fact of the matter is right now they are still in negotiations and I don’t know what more I could say to that,” Collins’ rep Jeffrey Lane told TheWrap Wednesday. Lane said that he can’t speak to why Murphy revealed the unconfirmed casting news in the interview.

If Collins signs on, she will be in good company for Season 8.

Last month, news broke that Kathy Bates would be returning for the upcoming season as a lead alongside Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters.

Both Paulson and Peters starred in the last installment, “Cult,” but Bates took a year off after “Roanoke,” the franchise’s sixth season.

Murphy also mentioned to THR he is “interested” in Anjelica Huston. A representative for Huston did not immediately respond to press requesting comment on her possible involvement in Season 8.

New York Police Fatally Shoot Unarmed Black Man On Brooklyn Street

Police fatally shot an unarmed black man walking down the street in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, on Wednesday.

Officers responded to three 911 calls reporting that a man at an intersection was pointing what callers believed to be a gun at residents, New York Police Department Chief Terence A. Monahan said in a news briefing.

“Today at 4:40 p.m., the NYPD received several 911 calls of a man described as a male black, wearing a brown jacket, pointing what is described as a silver firearm to people on the street,” Monahan said. When officers arrived, they saw a man matching that description.

“The suspect then took a two-handed shooting stance and pointed an object at the approaching officers,” the police chief said.

Four officers, three in plainclothes and one in uniform, fired 10 rounds among them, striking the man. The officers then called for an ambulance, Monahan said, and the man was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police did not immediately provide details about the man’s identity, but an unnamed law enforcement official told The New York Times the man was Saheed Vassell. Family members also confirmed his identify to the New York Daily News.

The victim’s father, Eric Vassell, told NY1 on Wednesday that his son had bipolar disorder and had been “sick for a long time.” But he described his son as “polite” and said he wasn’t a danger to anyone.

“He’s polite, nice, he’s kind. He just comes and he goes,” Vassell told NY1. He noted that his son had a teenage child.

Local residents described the victim as a well-known member of the neighborhood. “He don’t bother nobody at all,” a woman named Sandy told WNYC, saying he helped her carry her groceries at one point.

“Every cop in this neighborhood knows him,” another community member, John Fuller, told The New York Times.

Despite reports that the victim was carrying a firearm, officers later determined the object he had pointed at them was “a pipe with some sort of knob on the end of it.”

NYPD provided a photo of the pipe the man was holding when officers shot him.

None of the officers was wearing a body camera, Monahan said. But during the news briefing, the police chief held up printouts of security footage that showed the man pointing an object at a civilian and another one of him pointing at the police officers right before the shooting.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio’s office said on Twitter that the mayor had “received a preliminary briefing on the officer-involved shooting.”

Dozens of local residents gathered at the scene of the shooting Wednesday evening, many of them expressing their anger over the lethality of the officers’ response.

The shooting comes just two weeks after police fatally shot Stephon Clark in Sacramento, California, after receiving calls that someone in the neighborhood was breaking car windows. The African-American man, who was unarmed, was standing outside the home where he lived with his grandparents and two young children when the officers shot him eight times. It was later determined that he was holding a cellphone. The shooting escalated a national outcry over police brutality involving black victims.

Paris Jackson kicked off her birthday with some major rock legends!

NBC’s Jennifer Lopez Drama ‘Shades of Blue’ To End After Season 3

Bad news for the fans of NBC’s ‘Shades Of Blue’…..

Jennifer Lopez’s NBC police drama will exit the airwaves for good following its third season, the network announced on Wednesday.

Back in March 2017, Shades Of Blue’ renewed for third season and THE LAST!

Jennifer Lopez releases a statement.

K. Michelle has confirmed her Second Butt Injections Removal Surgery On ‘Steve TV’

‘So, this will be my second one but I’ve learned my lesson….’Back in February, K. Michelle told Dr. Oz in an interview that will air Tuesday about why she decided to remove her injections. The singer’s doctor, Dr. Michael Niccole, said he was only able to remove 40 percent of the injections, as it would be impossible to remove them all.

Jillian Michaels Attacks ‘A**Hole’ Andy Cohen – ‘The Guy Hates Women!’

During a brand new interview, the fitness guru slammed Andy Cohen! Jillian Michaels mainly focused on the Watch What Happens Live host’s involvement with all of the Real Housewives shows that the man is the executive producer of.

It looks like Jillian thinks Andy Cohen is nothing more but a women hater.

She was pretty aggravated while talking about it which means her experience interacting with Cohen was definitely not good.

‘It is like it was created by somebody who hates women! I mean the guy hates them. He is an a**hole. I hate that s**t! I never watch it. I hate watching women tear each other apart. Anyone who watches it, shame on you,’ Michaels said.

We understand why she would not be a big fan of seeing women mindlessly feud on a show for seasons on end, but saying Cohen hates women may not really be the case. That is kind of a stretch.

But her hate towards Cohen is not unexplained!

The WWHL host had stated before that she was the worst guest he has ever had on the show and that she most likely will not get invited again.

According to him, she simply ‘freaked out’ after making an appearance on the Bravo show.

‘She was so mean to the staff. She was screaming at them like they were on The Biggest Loser.’

So it looks like the hate is mutual and the war between Cohen and Michaels is just getting more explosive!

Tyrese And Wife Samantha Are Expecting A Baby Girl

This is not a drill folks! Just in, Tyrese and wife, Samantha Gibson are expecting their first child together.

The singer confirmed the news via Instagram on Wednesday afternoon, writing, “It’s not a rumor……. So proud to share the news!”

He continued, “I will never forget when my wife told me these words ….. ‘Take my hand and never let go, I will love you and stand with you through thick and thin from my heart, our love will inspire others to lovers to love deeper… Take my hand and where ever you lead me I will follow you around the world’ .. -Samantha Gibson.”

Samantha also wrote on Instagram, “Not a rumor. We are having a baby! **1 Samuel 1:27-28.”

The news comes just months after Tyrese lied about his wife being pregnant. You might remember, last year, during what appeared to be a string of emotional and public breakdowns, the Fast and Furious star suggested he and his wife were going to be parents.

He, however, later admitted (in Muary’s voice) THAT WAS A LIE.

This will be the first child for Samantha and second for Tyrese, who shares a daughter with his ex, Norma Mitchell.

Naomi Campbell Gets Pushback After Calling on Vogue to Launch Africa Edition

Former supermodel and British Vogue contributor Naomi Campbell suggested that Vogue expand its reach. Campbell called on the fashion magazine to launch an African edition to account for the contributions the continent has given to fashion.

Campbell was at Arise Fashion Week in Lagos, Nigeria, that featured 45 designers from 14 different African countries. She told Reuters, “There should be a Vogue Africa.” Adding that Middle East Vogue was just launched last year. “We just had Vogue Arabia — it is the next progression. It has to be. Africa has never had the opportunity to be out there and their fabrics and their materials and their designs be accepted on the global platform … It shouldn’t be that way,” she continued.

Condé Nast, Vogue’s publisher, told The Independent via a spokesperson, “Talent is so important not only to create our magazines but also to ensure that the market has a good landscape to write about and work with, [for example] a strong fashion community in the case of Vogue.” They continued, “We have considered Africa as a possible market for Vogue. It is something that we are looking at, but we don’t want to rush or make any quick decisions.”

Despite Campbell’s push for an African edition of Vogue, not everyone was in favor.

Instead of launching a vogue Africa edition, why not support and amplify already existing publications that are African-centered and have been trying to fill the void, even when vogue saw no potential in us?

Those in favor of a Vogue Africa became excited at the prospect of the magazine representing the diverse African countries.
