The Trailer For Taraji P. Henson's 'The Best Of Enemies' Draws Mixed Reactions
Some think Ms. Henson may finally earn her Oscar, while others are already over it.
Oscar-nominated actress Taraji. P. Henson stars as Ann Atwater in the forthcoming film The Best of Enemies. Atwater was a mother turned Civil Rights activist in Durham, North Carolina who took on C.P. Ellis, a leader of local Ku Klux Klan to desegregate schools in the area. As a result, the two formed an unlikely friendship with Ellis reportedly changing his views.
Directed by Robin Bissell, the trailer for the film hit the Internet Saturday (March 2) and fresh off the frustration over Green Book's Best Picture win at the 2019 Oscars, some weren't too excited about the project.
Many expressed frustration over Hollywood's obsession with a white savior complex in which a black lead, does the arduous work of fighting battles, both emotionally and physically, to bring about change only for a white man or woman to be awarded a medal of honor.

#HipHopNews: Questlove has Saved an Unreleased J Dilla Beat For The Roots' Next Album
The Roots next album is apparently going to contain an unreleased J Dilla beat. According to Okayplayer, Questlove confirmed he’d saved a beat from the late legendary producer to use on End Game during an oral history of The Roots’ Things Fall Apart album.
Quest revealed “Table of Contents” from the group’s 1999 effort was to have a fourth installment produced by Dilla.
“At one point, ‘Table of Contents’ was gonna be a four parter,” he said. “I made a third verse for Tariq [Trotter] that wound up going to The Legendary [1999 EP]. So that was part three. I’m actually saving part four for End Game right now. Dilla did the beat for part four. I’m gonna use Dilla’s music for opening the End Game album.”
Quest also talked about how Dilla’s studio presence influenced nearly every aspect of Things Fall Apart. The platinum-selling, Grammy Award-nominated album featured the Dilla-produced “Dyanamite!”
If the project does come to fruition, End Game would serve as the official follow-up to The Roots’ 2014 effort ..And Then You Shoot Your Cousin.
#RIP Luke Perry, star of 'Beverly Hills, 90210' and 'Riverdale,' Has DIED at 52
Actor Luke Perry, who gained fame as a teen heartthrob on "Beverly Hills, 90210" and became a fan-favorite TV dad with his starring role on the hit series "Riverdale," has died at age 52 after suffering a massive stroke.
"He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends," Perry's publicist Arnold Robinson told Fox News Monday. "The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning."
Robinson said no further details were being released at this time.
Last week, Perry was admitted to a hospital for "observation." At the time, his rep did not confirm reports that he had suffered a stroke. According to TMZ, paramedics responded to a call at the star's home in Sherman Oaks, Calif., at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday. The call came into the fire department for someone suffering a stroke, the gossip site reported.
The incident occurred the same day that the "Beverly Hills, 90210" reboot was announced.
Perry, 52, was not attached to the new project, though former co-stars Ian Ziering, Jason Priestley, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth and Gabrielle Carteris will reprise new versions of their prior roles on the series.
Though best known for his "90210" role, Perry had steady acting work ever since the series ended.
His most recent role was on the hit high school-based series "Riverdale" as Archie's father, Fred Andrews, for three seasons of the CW series. A fourth season has been announced but it remains unclear how the series will handle Perry's death.
"Riverdale" executive producers and The CW told Fox News in a statement they were "deeply saddened" to learn of Perry's death.
"A beloved member of the Riverdale, Warner Bros. and CW family, Luke was everything you would hope he would be: an incredibly caring, consummate professional with a giant heart, and a true friend to all. A father figure and mentor to the show’s young cast, Luke was incredibly generous, and he infused the set with love and kindness. Our thoughts are with Luke’s family during this most difficult time."
Perry had roles in many films including "The Fifth Element," "8 Seconds" and "American Strays." He also appeared in HBO's hit "Oz" and lent his voice to cartoons like "The Incredible Hulk" and "Mortal Kombat."
Perry is slated to appear as Scott Lancer in the upcoming Quentin Tarantino-directed Manson murder film "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."

SURPRISE! Tamron Hall is pregnant after secretly marrying music executive
Surprise! Former “Today” show co-host Tamron Hall is married to a music executive and pregnant with their first child.
The 48-year-old journalist made the dual announcement on social media Monday. In a video set to the tune of viral sensation “Baby Shark,” Hall said of her pregnancy, “Surprise, guys! Can you believe it? I’m about to be a mommy shark very soon.”
Hall said she is 32 weeks along, with roughly two months left to go in her pregnancy.
She also surprised fans by revealing that she’s married to a man named Steven, who Page Six has confirmed is music executive Steven Greener.
“I’ve wanted to share this news for many months and now finally my doctor has said I am in a safe place, at 32 weeks, to share my joy with y’all,” she wrote in a separate post on social media. “There have been many tears, but today I embrace the smiles. My husband Steven and I are beyond excited! We’re in constant prayer, so if you pray, add us to your list; if you meditate, send calmness our way; and if you believe in luck, we’ll happily take that too.”
She also made a third reveal on Monday — that her nationally syndicated daytime talk show, “Tamron Hall,” will premiere on Sept. 9.

Miley Cyrus Pens Lengthy Tribute to Late ‘Voice’ Contestant Janice Freeman: ‘I Miss You So Much It Hurts’
Mourning the loss of her friend. Miley Cyrus wrote an emotional tribute to the late Janice Freeman, who competed on the former Hannah Montana star’s team on The Voice season 13.
“I miss you so much it hurts. Everywhere ….. but so did you. So often. So much pain and no one would ever notice because of the smile and joy you constantly radiated,” Cyrus, 26, wrote via Instagram on Monday, March 4. “I am trying my best today to celebrate your existence but I can’t help but just deeply mourn over your absence.”
Cyrus continued: “Today we lost a legend … Everyone got it so wrong on our season together of The Voice because no matter what has been recorded or remembered YOU won my angel . You are not only the best singer that show has ever had the honor of having on that stage but the best f—king singer in the world … Janice you’re my star! I will never give up on you. Ever.”
The “Wrecking Ball” singer also revealed that she “was going to create a label” just so she could sign Freeman. The Disney Channel alum emotionally concluded: “I am no longer your coach , I never was ….. YOU constantly taught me. You’ve been my coach on how to love , on how to persevere , on how to fight for what I want and never let even my own body get in the way. Anything is possible if it’s being done with faith. You are my world . I will never forget you or stop loving you. I am forever yours , Miley.”
Freeman died from an apparent blood clot on Saturday, March 2, after she was rushed to the hospital with complaints that she couldn’t breathe. TMZ reported that the late singer’s husband, Dion, called 911 and performed CPR, but she was later pronounced dead. She was 33 years old.
Upon hearing the news of Freeman’s death, the “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” songstress posted a photo of a rainbow on her Instagram story and wrote, “Thank you @janicefreeman … for everything. This represents you perfectly.”
Diddy Expresses Regret Over Not Marrying Kim Porter
Diddy is still dealing with the loss of his ex-girlfriend Kim Porter.
Nearly four months after the the 47-year-old model/actress' passing, the business mogul shared a throwback picture of Kim embracing him, which he captioned with a broken heart emoji. Shortly after Diddy shared the heartbreaking photo, a "fan" commented, "When she was alive you didn't wanna marry her. Confused ne*ro. GTFOH." Seemingly filled with guilt about their lack of commitment, Diddy responded, "I know. Played myself smh."
As previously reported, Kim, who shares three biological children with Diddy (he was also hands-on in raising her son Quincy from a previous relationship), was found dead at her Los Angeles area home on November 15. Sources told TMZ at the time that she was experiencing "flu-like symptoms" several weeks prior to death, and had been complaining that she wasn't feeling well the night before she was pronounced dead at her home. In January, the Los Angeles County Coroner's office revealed that she died from lobar pneumonia, which is the "inflammation of an entire lobe of the lungs."
Diddy released a statement days after her passing, captioning an old video of the two, filmed when Kim was pregnant: "For the last three daysI’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare. But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much [...] Today I’m going to pay tribute to you, I’m going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship. We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER SH*T!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love 🖤."
Kim and Diddy's love story spanned 13 years, with the two finally calling it quits on the romantic relationship in 2007. Following news of Kim's passing a source told People: "Diddy is devastated and shocked. He and Kim were still very close friends and co-parents even though their romantic relationship didn’t work." The insider added, "They were still a family."
U.K Prodigy Singer Keith Flint Dead At Age 49
The Prodigy singer Keith Flint has died at age 49. The rocker was found dead at his home in England on Monday morning. In a statement, police explained that they were called over "concerns for the welfare of a man" and when they arrived at the home, they found Flint, who "was pronounced dead at the scene." Authorities added that "the death is not being treated as suspicious."
Keith had just returned to his home in the UK following an Australian tour. He was scheduled to tour in America starting in May.
His best known songs with The Prodigy include the 1997 songs "Breathe," "Firestarter" and "Smack My Bitch Up." The band had six number one albums in Britain and one in the US. Their latest album, No Tourists, came out in November.
As yet, a cause of death has not been revealed.
Britney Spears’ Father Has been Left as Sole Conservator After her Lawyer Resigns
The lawyer largely responsible for re-making Britney Spears‘ career is resigning his position as co-conservator of her estate, leaving just her father Jamie in charge.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Andrew Wallet filed his notice of resignation on Monday and is hoping the court will approve it ASAP.
Wallet states, “The conservatorship is engaged in numerous ongoing business activities requiring immediate attention and it therefore is in the best interest of the conservatee that the acceptance of Wallet’s resignation and the issuance of amended letters of conservatorship of the estate occur immediately and without delay.”
He adds, “Substantial detriment, irreparable harm and immediate danger will result to the conservatee and her estate if the relief requested herein in not granted on an ex parte basis.”
Jamie Spears, Britney’s dad, will be her sole conservator once the paperwork is approved. Our sources say Wallet is retiring and Spears has been handling most of the affairs anyway.
The Spears patriarch had a recent health scare forcing Britney to cancel several dates of her Las Vegas residency.
Wallet was appointed co-conservator of Britney Spears’ estate back in 2008, following a period of erratic behavior by the singer. He is credited with reinventing her career and getting her affairs back on track.
Roseanne Barr Says Women Who Came Forward As Part Of #MeToo Are “Nothing But Ho*s”
During the inaugural episode of ‘The Candace Owens Show,’ guest Roseanne Barr slammed the #MeToo movement, California Senator Kamala Harris, Christine Ford Blasey and more in an unapologetic interview this weekend.
While discussing the #MeToo movement, which Owens called “the believe women thing,” Barr shared that she recently spoke with someone who suggested, “[The women] were there in the room because they thought they were getting a job 15 years ago,” which she said she disagreed with. Barr said, “Well, it’s because they’re hoes. Like if you don’t run out of the room and go, ‘Excuse me, you don’t do that to me,’ and leave, but you stayed around because you’re like, ‘Well, I thought maybe he was going to give me a writing job,’ well, you aren’t nothing but a hoe.” She continued by stating women who find themselves in men’s hotel rooms at 3 a.m. and later come forward with accusations are “pretending that they didn’t go to trade sexual favors for money.”
Barr then brought Senator #KamalaHarris into the conversation, calling the presidential hopeful “Kama Sutra Harris.” Barr said, “We all know what she did…she slept her way to the bottom,” in reference to the senator’s previous relationship with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown. “There was a time as a feminist where we don’t do that, we have respect for ourselves and we stick together, but that all went to hell, too,” she continued.
Owens explained, “I think feminism ultimately needs to be about truth-telling. I’m not into garnering power against men, that’s not feminism. Stop calling it feminism. That’s some radicalized white women’s movement, as I say, it’s the ‘white women’s march,'” to which Barr agreed, “That’s what I say, too.” She added, “Women are pissed because they weren’t attracted to the guy that did it.” Owens followed up with, “Or they didn’t get the career, so then 30 years later they go, ‘You know what, my career never really did take off, so I’m going to hop on this bandwagon and say that something horrible happened to me,'”. “And the reason why I think what we’re talking about here is real feminism, is because what we’re protecting are real victims because there are women who actually get raped, there are men who are actually predators.”
Roseanne wasn’t done though! Barr also said that Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault in the 1980s, “should be in prison.” Owens said, “She’s not required to file a police report or anything and she collected millions of dollars,” referring to the numerous GoFundMe accounts in support of Ford. Barr agreed with Owens, and added that Ford was an example of “white woman privilege.”

Kanye West Is Reportedly Okay With Never Speaking To Tristan Thompson Or Jordyn Woods Ever Again
Khloe Kardashian’s brother in law, Kanye West, has finally broken his silence about the Tristan Thompson / Jordyn Woods scandal, and sources say he is completely okay with never speak with Tristan and Jordyn again.
A source close to West told People, “Kanye thinks of himself as the godfather in this family, and he has the mindset that if anyone messes with one of them, they mess with them all. So right now, Tristan and Jordyn are on his list. If he never talks to them again, it’s fine by him. He wasn’t close to them in the first place.”
The source continued, “He’s protective of the Kardashian women, all of them, and if anyone hurts them, he will always be their biggest advocate.”
In the meantime, Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, has already publicly defended her sister Khloé against critics amid her baby daddy’s cheating allegations. In fact, sources say “she’s livid” over the entire ordeal, blaming it all on Thompson.
“Kim is the one who is really upset about this. She’s livid. She’s so angry, and she’s 100 percent on Khloé’s side,” the source said. “She’s there for Khloé, letting her vent and talk about it. They’ve been in constant contact, and Kim is totally supportive. Guys may come and go, but the bond between the girls is never going away, and they’re committed to supporting each other.”
“Kim is putting the blame squarely where it belongs, on Tristan,” the source added, contradicting Khloe’s initial claim that Jordyn ruined their family. “She is telling Khloé to move on and to focus on being the best mother she can be to True. Kim isn’t going to talk about this much publicly. This isn’t her battle to tight in the public eye. But behind the scenes, she’s definitely making her opinion known.”
Ultimately, what the entire family is most concerned with, is their public image. The public humiliation and embarrassment is what hit the nail on the head.
“Really the issue is the fact that Tristan publicly embarrassed Khloé, and if there’s anything the Kardashians won’t tolerate, it’s being embarrassed by someone else’s bad behavior,” the insider said. “So the family is circling the wagons around Khloé and everyone is there for her. She’s texting and talking to them constantly, and all of them are 100 percent there for her.”
But at the end of the day, the situation could be what Khloe needed to “finally be able to move on” from Tristan and his cheating habits. “She deserves so much better. In the end, now that they are 100 percent over, Khloé feels like she did everything she could to be in a relationship with Tristan,” the source said. “Clearly, he doesn’t care about his relationship with her.”
