Another PRINT MAG bites the DUST! Sister 2 Sister Magazine Files For Bankruptcy

Ever since the internet has taken over, magazines have been suffering. Many magazines have folded and decided to put their energy into their online editions and now Sister 2 Sister magazine has been forced to do the same. The women’s mag has reportedly filed for bankruptcy protection and is putting the print edition on hiatus. While the magazine is on hold, the focus will be put on their website.

Reports AllHipHop: Their money problems have seemed to affect the payroll of their writers as well. A writer took to Twitter to voice his frustrations with the publication. “Never do biz with Sister to Sister mag! I did 3 stories for them 3 months ago. Now they say they are bankrupt and can’t pay me!” journalist Manny Otiko posted on his timeline

Sister 2 Sister has been up-and-running for 25 years. The owner and publisher Jamie Foster Brown is currently preparing a statement about the status of the magazine.

THE END OF A BLACK AMERICAN ERA SO LONG JET MAG!

In case you hadn't heard, this is the last week that JET Magazine will appear in print form.  So......Feast your eyes on the last physical cover of the iconic magazine!

Hitting stores on June 9, the cover of the last issue salutes JET magazine's iconic history by featuring images of previous covers throughout the past 63 years. Inside, readers will find a retrospective of the news covered in the magazine from 1951 to the present.

JET is launching a new weekly digital magazine app to address the needs of its readers to get information quickly.  And that is scheduled to launch June 30 for all tablet devices and mobile platforms.

So...if you've always have dreams of being one of the "Beauties Of The Week", you can still nab that spot. It'll be online.....
