R&B songstress Mya got all glammed up for a few flicks gracing the pages of SHEEN magazine’s July/August 2016 Music Soundcheck Issue.
The 36-year-old singer served up a fab spread of flicks that continue to prove she’s still got it. In an array of photos, Mya oozes effortless class in a white jumpsuit, a gorgeous gold cut-out gown and a burgundy embroidered high slit gown that hugged her curves in all the right places.

Mashable just launched a new miniseries titled “The Real Housekids” and some folks are up in arms about it. The series features little girls reenacting some of the most unforgettable scenes from the BRAVO series. And for their first episode, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” got the parody treatment. Some folks on social media are NOT happy about the clip, saying children need to not be privy to the the Housewives' behavior and that it’s simply not funny. Folks are mad that young girls are reenacting the piss poor behavior of adults.

Mariah Carey to Guest Star on ‘Empire’ Season 3
Mariah Carey will guest star and perform on the upcoming third season of “Empire.”
The announcement was made Monday at the Television Critics Association press tour at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Carey will play Kitty, a mega-superstar who comes to Empire to collaborate with Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) on an explosive new song. When the duet encounters obstacles, Kitty helps Jamal dig deep to overcome personal difficulties and reach a musical breakthrough. Her episode airs Wednesday, Oct. 5.
Other guest stars for Season 3 are the previously announced Taye Diggs, Sierra McClain, French Montana and Birdman.
Carey has been long rumored to appear on “Empire.” Last season, her name repeatedly popped up, though at the time, insiders told Variety no actual plans were in place, due to her busy schedule. At the beginning of Season 2, “Empire” showrunner Ilene Chaiken told us that Carey guest starring is a “really exciting proposition.”
“Empire” returns with its third season on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 9 p.m.
LISTEN to Angie Stone's ‘Covered In Soul’
With a career that has lasted four decades, Angie Stone has undeniable longevity. She is synonymous with soul, thus the title of her latest album, Covered in Soul, is apropos. Released by Cleopatra records, Covered in Soul is a collection of ballads from the 60s and 70s spanning several genres. Stone uses the universal language of music to translate them into soulful renditions.
Standouts on the album are the opening track, “These Eyes” (The Guess Who); “Smiling Faces” (The Undisputed Truth); “Everyone’s A Winner” (Hot Chocolate); “Is This Love” (Bob Marley) and “It’s Too Late” (Carole King). Stone’s vocals are stellar on these tracks, showcasing her signature style.
Less favorable tracks on Covered in Soul are her versions of “In the Air Tonight” (Phil Collins), “I Believe” (Stevie Wonder); Red Red Wine (Neil Diamond, though her version is similar to UB40‘s) and “Ooh Child” (The Five Stairsteps). Stone’s energy falls flat on these, making you desire the originals.
Reminding us why we dig her, Stone re-recorded three of her original songs: “Wish I Didn’t Miss You,” “Baby” and “Brotha.” Each one is slightly stripped down compared to its namesake with variations to the ad-libs.

New Music: T.I. – ‘We Will Not’
T.I. takes a stand. After protesting in Atlanta following the fatal police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, Tip releases a Mars and Mike & Keys-produced song very much inspired by those cases.
“We sick of the garbage you kickin’ and teachin’,” he raps. “And lynchin’ us / Lockin’ us up for no reason, they killin’ us / No consequences, convictions, you serious?”
Elsewhere on the track, Tip takes on mainstream media and the drug trade. “Lyin’ about what you show in the media,” he raps. “Assassinate all the leaders who leadin’ us / Leave us with ones who misleadin’ us / Then go reward all the ones who mistreat us / And leave us in projects and give us these poisonous products / On top of narcotics to push to our sisters and brothers.”
There’s more where this came from. Tip also revealed that he’s working on an EP. “Just some words I had on my heart to share,” he said. “Entire EP soon to come!!! #USorELSE #WeWillNot.”

Tyler Perry Offers to Pay for Funeral of Twins Who Died in a Hot Car
Tyler Perry is offering some hope to a mother whose twins died in a hot car in Carrollton, GA earlier this week.
The media mogul has offered to pay the funeral costs.
via AJC: The Atlanta-based film director called the Channel 2 Action News newsroom and said he would pay for the funeral after watching an interview reporter Dave Huddleston did with their mother, Breal Ellis.
Ellis’ daughters, 15-month-olds Ariel Roxanne North and Alaynah Maryanne North, were found dead in a hot car Thursday. The father, Asa North, 24, was arrested and faces two involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct charges.
Ellis, who was checking on another family member who was injured in a car crash at the time of the girls’ death, told Channel 2 she didn’t know how she was going to pay for the twins’ funeral. She lost another child a few years ago.
What a tragic story. Prayers go out to Breal and the Ellis family.
Nicki Minaj Sues Las Vegas Promoter
Nicki Minaj has headed back to court in the $230k+ legal battle over a Las Vegas club appearance – in which she is accused of being a diva and costing the nightclub a ton of $$$ for performing only 2 songs and only staying for 34 minutes. The rapper/singer has counter-sued a promoter demanding he pay any judgement won in the case NOT her.
Here’s the latest: On July 22nd, Minaj went to court and filed a counter-suit against Jam House. She explains that while negotiating the deal for the club appearance, her team dealt with a middle man named Anthony Botter (aka Blitz) who owns and operates The Epitome Group.
She says that she signed the contract and sent it back to Epitome Group. However, she has learned there were two contracts drafted by the company and the second one she didn’t see, provided for more compensation to be paid to her. She never signed the second agreement.
Minaj accuses either Jam House or Epitome of keeping the extra money beyond the $150k. She filed suit demanding the judge not hold her liable for any judgement the club is awarded in their lawsuit, saying she didn’t do anything wrong and fulfilled all her duties on the contract. She is also seeking to have her attorney fees paid by the other parties.
Here’s the backstory: A Nevada company named Fantastic Entertainment Enterprises (FEE) filed suit against Nicki Minaj’s company Pink Personality for ruining a Las Vegas club appearance.
The suit explained that an appearance agreement was signed by Nicki to show up and perform at Chateau Night Club in the Paris Hotel on May 2, 2015, directly following Floyd Mayweather’s fight with Pacquiao.
Per the deal, Nicki was to arrive at the club at midnight and remain at the club for at least an hour and perform two songs. The company agreed to pay the rap queen a total of $236k for her appearance and also cover her transportation and accommodation costs.
However, they said Nicki failed to follow the terms of the deal she signed. They claim she didn’t show up until 1:19am, stayed only for 34 minutes and refused to perform two songs at the club. They also accused her security guard of arriving to the club and disconnecting their equipment that was set up to film the event (not only Nicki’s appearance) and as a result they lost even more money.
Further, the company stated they had 5 VIP tables around Nicki’s and people were willing to pay 25k for a table, but since she didn’t stay or perform those tables went unsold.
The company sent Nicki’s team a letter last May, demanding a refund of the money they paid her — but they have refused for months to pay.
F.E.E. demanded the return of the 236k paid to Nicki along with damages for the money she caused them to lose. Nicki responded, explaining she never signed any contract with Fantastic Entertainment Enterprises, but rather with another company named Jam House Inc.
The pop star said she performed all the contractual obligations the night of the appearance. She admits she was paid 150k to show up for an hour and perform 2 songs, which she claims she did.
The singer accused the company of filing a copy of an altered contract with their lawsuit. Nicki explained that the agreement filed includes terms that she never approved or had knowledge of previously.
She added all terms of the contract were completed fully the night of her appearance and if there was anything she didn’t do it was due to unreasonable expectations, unforeseeable events or fraud. Nicki demanded the entire lawsuit be thrown out and the company be awarded nothing.
‘Project Runway’ Season 15 Sets Premiere Date; Meet New Cast
*Lifetime’s “Project Runway” returns next month with 16 new designer hopefuls set to compete for that all important runway show at New York’s Fashion Week.
The show’s 15th season will premiere on Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. ET, the network revealed Monday.
“Season 15 is going to be a historic season,” judge Zac Posen tells EW. “Get ready — get ready for great talent, get ready for a wild ride on that sewing machine.”

Gymnast Simone Biles, 19, has found more than gold medal dreams while competing in Rio as she’s also picked herself up a brand new sweetie, Brazilian gymnast Arthur Nory Mariano, 23. The pint-sized phenom first posted a photo of the pair embracing back on July 29 and she captioned it, “My Brazilian Boyfriend,”along with a heart emoji, the Brazilian flag and a smiley emoji blowing a kiss, which he happily retweeted. They’re wearing their respective country’s national track suits while hanging outside in the bright Rio sunshine.
Arthur was also quick with the praise when Simone absolutely crushed it in the women’s gymnastics All-Around prelims Aug 7, especially with her breathtaking performance in the floor exercise. “YOU DID AMAZING TODAY! Queen Biles! #MyLove,” he tweeted, along with a giant heart emoji. In return, she thanked her “babe” and wished him luck in the Men’s gymnastic events the following day. How adorable!
When Arthur failed to make the podium after the Brazilian team finished in sixth place in the Men’s All-Around, he had Simone right there to console him over dinner in the Olympic Village. She showed off a Snapchat pic of her smiling man sitting across the table from her with the caption, “Eating dinner with champ,” so clearly he’s still a winner in her heart! It’s unclear if the pair were already a couple before Simone headed south for the Rio games, but they sure aren’t afraid to flaunt their adoration now!

Michael Jordan has donated $5 million to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, museum officials announced Monday.
The gift, the largest from a sports figure to the 19th Smithsonian museum, pushes private donations to the museum to $278 million. Including federal aid, the museum, which President Obama will open Sept. 24, has raised more than $548 million.
Tinashe Addresses Calvin Harris Dating Rumors: ‘I’m Still Definitely Single’
Tinashe addressed rumors that she and Calvin Harris are dating, while talking with E! News prior to her performance at Intrigue nightclub in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
A source revealed to PageSix last month, that the pair was “casually” seeing each other – and an insider said “they were super close” when spotted on a date in Malibu.
When asked about the talks surrounding the two of them, Tinashe shut down speculation of a relationship, saying: “I mean, I’m still definitely single, so that’s all that we’re at right now.”
Though they’re not a couple, Tinashe and Calvin – who have collaborated professionally – talk often. He offered her some advice ahead of her show in Vegas.
