Millie Bobby Brown And Letitia Wright Cover 'W' Magazine

W Magazine released its annual TV portfolio on Monday, covered by two of the screen's freshest faces — Millie Bobby Brown of "Stranger Things" and Letitia Wright of "Black Panther." Photographed by Alasdair McLellan, the covers were joined by a photo portfolio featuring other stars like Evan Peters, Rachel Brosnahan, Katherine Langford, Claire Danes, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Dominic Cooper, Daveed Diggs, Frankie Shaw, Aubrey Plaza, Dakota Fanning and more.

In their respective cover stories, Wright and Brown talk starting their careers (for Wright, it meant doggedly emailing every agent in town), changing their look to play characters (Brown says shaving her head to play Eleven was "a big deal") and how life has changed since they accepted their star-making roles. 

Both Brown and Wright — along with all the other actors photographed for the portfolio — were also dressed to a T for their pictures, wearing Calvin Klein (Wright) and Prada (Brown).

"One of my goals was to be on the cover of W, and you see? Dreams do come true," Brown said.

#RHoA: Shereé Whitfield ‘I was not fired from RHoA, instead I QUIT!

After months of rumors pointing to her exit, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Shereé Whitfield confirmed she is no longer a part of the cast.

The She By Shereé founder on Monday held a Q&A on her Instagram Story where she directly answered fans’ questions on the matter. According to her, she wasn’t fired but declined to accept a lesser role.

One of the first questions pointedly asked of Whitfield was if she’s returning to RHOA.

“Currently living my best life. Was not interested in entertaining the low ball offer that was sent. Know ur worth.”

Another person charged that she was fired and the former peach holder swiftly corrected them.

“Fired… no, hunni declined.”

Whitfield was also asked why she didn’t accept the “friend of the show” role, which comes after reports emerged in April that Whitfield was cut from the Bravo reality series.

“Bravo can’t film inside or even outside the jail. This is causing a problem with her storyline,” a source told Us Weekly of the former housewife’s federally imprisoned boyfriend Tyrone Gilliams.

At the time, Whitfield was said to be “very upset” about the development.

According to her now, she’s simply “worth more than a friend.”

Still, the author isn’t reflecting on just the bleak aspects of the series. While she admits some cons of being on the series include “drama, stress and negativity,” she also listed out several pros including “good opportunities, that mula and being able to help others thru sharing my truth.”

That truth was explored during RHOA’s ninth season, where Whitfield’s domestic violence issues with ex-husband Bob Whitfield were put out on the table. The next season, she sat down with her kids to discuss the matter openly for the first time.

“I just kind of kept you guys away from, didn’t let you guys know what was going on,” she told her adult children. “I just put on a happy face, but it was very toxic.”

DJ Khaled has been hinting at the release of his upcoming The Father of Ashad album for most of the year. Now, promo efforts for the project have been amped up with the announcement of the LP’s second single, “No Brainer” featuring Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Justin Bieber.

Khaled announced a Friday release date (July 27) for the single and and promised a video as well.

Last summer, Khaled’s star-studded record “I’m The One” featuring Quavo, Chance The Rapper, Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne took over the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It’s accompanying video has amassed over 1 billion views on YouTube since its debut.

Khaled originally teased The Father of Ashad with its lead single “Top Off” featuring Future, JAY-Z and Beyoncé in March. No release date for the album has been announced as of July 23.

Demi Lovato Hospitalized Over Alleged Heroin Overdose!

Demi Lovato has been rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles after suffering a medical emergency.

Sources tell us the singer was transported Tuesday morning via ambulance from her home in the Hollywood Hills.

L.A. Fire officials tell The Blast they responded, to Lovato’s home at 11:22 AM this morning and transported a 25-year-old female to the hospital.  LAPD responded shortly after, at 11:40 AM.

The exact nature of the emergency is still unclear, but sources extremely close to the star are adamant she was not abusing heroin.

Demi recently announced she had a slip in her sobriety in her new song, “Sober.” In the song, Lovato gives a detailed account of her struggle with alcohol addiction after being sober for six years.

In the past, she has been extremely open about her past addictions, including alcohol and cocaine.

Demi had just performed at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles over the weekend alongside Iggy Azalea.

Stevie J Gets Faith Evans-Inspired Face Tattoo

Stevie J has immortalized his love for his new bride with some fresh ink. On Tuesday (July 24), the noted producer shared a photo of Faith Evans’ initials tattooed just outside his ear.

Stevie wrote the following as his caption: “All I desire to hear in my world. #FaithReneeJordan”

To the surprise of many, Evans and Stevie were married on July 17 inside a Las Vegas hotel room. They filed for a marriage license in Clark County that same day.

Maxine Waters Got A Package Labeled "Anthrax" & Her Office Was Evacuated Immediately! 

On Tuesday, authorities in South Los Angeles evacuated Maxine Waters' office after an "anthrax" package was reportedly sent to the Californian representative. According to Mike Lopez, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department’s Major Crimes Division, the department is currently looking into the matter.

The department responded just before 3 p.m. local time. It reported no patients required evaluation. The fire department began leaving the scene about 4:38 p.m. local time, according to a statement from the department.

CBS News' Los Angeles affiliate reported that there had been no injuries at the representative's office.

The news comes only a week after right-wing group, Oath Keepers, had planned a protest outside Waters' Los Angeles office, though the group ultimately did not show up. The Democratic representative came under intense fire after she criticized Donald Trump for his "zero-tolerance" immigration policy, which has resulted in more than 2,000 children separated from their parents, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

In June, Waters called on her supporters to confront Trump administration figures over the presidency's position on immigration. "Let's make sure we show up wherever we have to show up," Waters said. "And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere."

While speaking of the undocumented children, Waters said, "They're in prisons. They're in jails. I don't care what they call it, that's where they are and Mr. President, we will see you every day, every hour of the day, everywhere that we are to let you know you cannot get away with this." Later on, Waters said that she had received death threats from her critics.

Charges filed against MacArthur BART station stabbing suspect

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- John Cowell now knows what charges he will face in connection with the stabbing death of Nia Wilson at the MacArthur BART station Sunday night. The 27-year-old man was booked on assault with a deadly weapon, violating parole and first degree murder.

John Cowell is accused of killing 18-year-old Nia Wilson and injuring her sister Letifah Wilson at MacArthur BART. He was arrested Monday afternoon at a different BART station in Pleasant Hill.

His first court date has been set for Thursday morning.

Cowell was arrested last night at the Pleasant Hill BART station. Police say he was not armed when they arrested him, and that an anonymous tip led to the arrest.

They still don't know the motive behind the violent attack that killed 18-year-old Nia Wilson. Police say she and her sister were attacked from behind Sunday night at the MacArthur station in Oakland. They were both stabbed. Nia died from her injuries.

A motive remains unclear.

No bail has been set. Cowell will be arraigned Thursday morning.

Maxwell Announces his 50 Intimate Nights Live Tour

Singer/ Songwriter Maxwell has announced his 50 Intimate Nights Live Tour, which will have him visiting some of North America’s most legendary theaters.

The Grammy-winning artist recently released his first piece of new music since 2016, “We Never Saw it Coming.” The song is accompanied by the chilling short film, The Glass House, written and directed by JAY-Z collaborators Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz starring Maxwell and activist/actress/model Yomi Abiola.

Tickets will go on sale for the tour on July 27. A limited number of VIP Packages will be available beginning July 25.

Lena Waithe Inks First-Look Deal With Showtime

Lena Waithe made history as first black woman to win an Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series for Netflix’s “Master of None” and her reign ain’t letting up no time soon!

I am super excited to tell you Lena, who blessed us with “The Chi,” has inked a first look deal with Showtime to write and produce more original content for the network including comedy and drama projects.

Via Deadline: “We fell in love with Lena’s voice when we ordered her pilot for The Chi three years ago, and we have watched in awe at her powerful impact on our industry and our culture,” said Gary Levine, President of Programming, Showtime Networks. “Lena is a creative force of nature and we are delighted that the force will be with us as she makes Showtime her creative home.”

Lindsay Lohan Threatens to Fire Her Nightclub Servers Over Their Shoes 

Lindsay Lohan took to Instagram to threaten to fire two of the servers at her nightclub, Lohan Beach House Rhodes in Greece – and it’s all because of footwear.

The official Lohan Beach House Instagram account posted a photo of the two female servers in matching dresses but they were both wearing different pairs of high heels.

In the comments, Lindsay wrote, “Wear the same shoes please,” and added, “Or you’re fired.”

Then, a fan questioned if she was actually serious.

“@lindsaylohan pls tell me you’re not joking need this to be real,” the fan wrote, to which Lindsay replied, “Totally serious!”

Sherri Shepherd Says Son Likes White Girls Because Black Girls Are ‘Mean With Him’

We don’t know what to think, here. Sherri Shepherd recently spoke with The Breakfast Club about her son Jeffrey’s interaction with African-American girls at school, and we’re not sure how to feel.

“I am going through this thing, he likes these girls,” Sherri told the show’s hosts. “He came in and he said, ‘Mommy, I like white girls.'” Sherri was sure to tell the radio show hosts that “the little Black girls get mean with him.”

According to Shepherd, Jeffrey has a hard time connecting with African-American girls because they refuse to speak to him and, when they do acknowledge him, cannot hold a conversation without the epic neck roll. “Sometimes they act crazy,” Shepherd revealed.

So what makes the White girls so nice? “The other girls see him and they go, ‘Hey, Jeffrey’ and they wanna feel his hair.”

Gabrielle Union had a similar experience with her stepsons who gravitated more towards light-skinned rather than dark-skinned girls at their school. The actress did not place blame on the overlooked girls but instead pointed to the reality of colorism in which individuals with features more closely aligned to the European way are often viewed as more valuable.

Sherri Shepherd, however, ignored the notion colorism and instead suggested that the problem is with the girls at young Jeffrey’s school. “I keep trying to tell the little girls to be nicer so he can come towards you,” she told The Breakfast Club.

Hillary Clinton To Play Herself On ‘Madam Secretary’

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is returning to politics — on-screen, at least.

The 2016 Democratic presidential nominee is set to play herself on the political drama “Madam Secretary,” CBS announced on Tuesday.

Joining her are fellow former secretaries of state Madeleine Albright and Colin Powell.

Clinton, Albright and Powell will guest-star in the fifth season premiere, airing Oct. 7. In the episode, Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord (played by Téa Leoni) asks the three former secretaries of state for their advice on how to handle a fragile situation.

“Having three powerhouses of diplomacy agree to come on our show is awe-inspiring and humbling,” Executive Producer Lori McCreary said in the press release. 

Clinton has graced the small screen before, playing herself on the Comedy Central sitcom “Broad City” in 2016. She’s also been a guest on “The Ellen Degeneres Show,” “Late Night With Seth Meyers” and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

Clinton served as President Barack Obama’s secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.

In 1997, Albright became the first woman to hold the U.S. secretary of state title when she was in the role under President Bill Clinton. Powell served as President George W. Bush’s secretary of state from 2001 until 2005.

Mel B has been diagnosed with Dyslexia

Singer/actress Melanie Brown, aka Mel B, was recently diagnosed with dyslexic after struggling to read for decades.

Last year, the former Spice Girls star was diagnosed with the reading disorder, which is normally diagnosed in children. She told U.K. chat show ‘Loose Women’ that she initially thought her brain was “wired different”, and that she’s relieved to know it is only dyslexia.

“I sort of hid it but I didn’t know what I was hiding; I’d see words written backwards and I’d have to memorize lyrics over and over again, or it would take me five months to read one chapter of a book,” she said on Tuesday. “To get diagnosed with dyslexia made me feel really relieved.”

“Now I know why I struggled so much for all these years, especially at school where I was just considered the naughty one, when actually I didn’t understand what they were writing on the blackboard,” she added. “I felt very dumb, or thick, because everyone else could understand everything except for me. School was very tough for me because I didn’t understand very much at all.”

Jay Ellis Will Not Return To ‘Insecure’ Season 3

Jay Ellis will not return as Lawrence for the third season of HBO’s Insecure. Let me repeat that for the loyal, card-carrying members of the #LawrenceHive.

Jay Ellis will not return as Lawrence for the third season of HBO’s Insecure. Rumors began to swirl about Ellis’ appearance in the show when the South Carolina native said he hadn’t filmed any scenes as filming was well underway. Once the trailer for the show was released, fans noticed there was no Lawrence in sight.

Show creator, actress, and writer Issa Rae confirmed the news over the weekend at the HBO Insecure Fest in Los Angeles and revealed she isn’t concerned with the opinions of fans.

“No, I don’t care!” Rae said “We want to stay as true to life as possible. They had a great conversation at the end of season two and it was just about like, hey, she’s moving on to Daniel, sometimes we have those conversations. You never see the exes again, and it’s okay! You gotta explore life without Lawrence.”

Insecure showrunner Prentice Penny echoed Rae’s sentiments.

“At the end of the day, we’re always trying to tell stories that are true and authentic. We were in the writers’ room and we were initially talking about, ‘Okay, well what is he doing? Well, he’s not in her life right now.’ It was hard to make stories around that. It seems closure is closure for these two … at least for now,” Penny said. “We just said, well, if he’s not around, he’s not around. Let’s just deal with the reality of what her life is now. Let’s be true to that when you break up and you have closure.”

And there you have it, folks. Insecure Season 3 returns to HBO on Sunday, Aug. 12.

Stormy Daniels says truth "will come out" after husband seeks divorce, alleges adultery

KAUFMAN, Texas -- The husband of adult film performer Stormy Daniels has filed for divorce in Texas. Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has said that she had sex with Donald Trump before he became president, something Mr. Trump has denied.

Glendon Crain filed the petition for divorce on July 18 in state district court in Kaufman County, located just southeast of Dallas. In his 13-page divorce petition, Crain alleged adultery as grounds for the divorce and seeks sole custody of the couple's 7-year-old daughter and child support from Clifford, as well as a financial award and disproportionate share of the couple's community property.

Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti said in a tweet that Daniels and Crain decided mutually to end their marriage and that the "accuracy" of the divorce petition is "vehemently disputed."

A woman answering the phone in the Terrell, Texas, office of Crain's attorney, Rothwell Pool, said he had no comment since the case is currently in litigation.

Crain and Daniels married in 2015 and were living together until about two weeks ago, according to the petition.

Mahershala Ali Opens on many issues in The Hollywood Reporter!

If you didn't know who Mahershala Ali is, surely you know him now. The Oscar nominated star lands this week's cover of The Hollywood Reporter and he opens up about dealing with depression.

Inside, the Moonlight star reveals he went into depression after his father left him and his mother. He shares,

“After that, my uncle has told me, and even my grandmother, I went into a depression. I was borderline depressed for years. There was a sadness over me, a melancholy. That's always been a part of me — those are some of the things that lead you to the arts. It's something I still think about, not that it brings me sadness at this point; it's a void or fracture that happened so early that now I have to address it in the healthiest way. We're affected by things, but 20 or 30 years later we can choose to feel different about them. I understand: My mom and dad were kids. And I know that they loved me and did the best they could do.”

The “Luke Cage” star also dishes on how he started opening up to different religions and beliefs outside of Christianity – the religion he was taught to believe growing up – and how his mother reacted his life change. He says his journey started when he went with his wife Amatus and her mom to a mosque in Philadelphia back when they were in college.

He shares,

"I was around 23 or 24 years old when I couldn't ignore it anymore. I was going back in time and trying to find out why I believed what I believed, and it always ended with my mother, and with what I was told — not my own epiphany or studies."

"A week later, it was Christmas break for school, and I just happened to stay in New York. It was Dec. 31, 1999. I woke up and thought, 'I have to go to the mosque,' and I go to this mosque in Brooklyn, and it's packed. It's multiple stories, and I'm all the way in the back, and they do this sermon in English and in Arabic, and they go to make the prayer — 'In the name of God the gracious and the merciful. All praise is due to God alone' — and the same thing happens to me, and I just start crying. I couldn't wrap my head around it. It was beyond explanation. There was this connection that pierced through it all for me. And I felt like I was in the right place. And this guy touches me on the shoulder and says, 'Are you Muslim?' And I say, 'No.' And he goes, 'Do you want to be?' And I said, 'Yes.' So he took me up to the imam, and I made my pledge"

"When I told my mother, it was a little bit clumsy. I got on the phone and she wasn't excited about that, in large part because at that time she believed there's only one route to heaven, through Christianity. It probably took 10 or 12 years until she really embraced it. My mother is as spiritual as she is religious. She likes to have a good time, but she has an extraordinarily serious quality about her. She lives with the awareness that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience, that everything is about the next life. She basically told me she accepted that was my path, and she's been really supportive of that choice. We are in an extraordinarily positive place today."

That's great he and his mother could put their religious beliefs aside for the sake of their relationship.

NeNe Leakes Says She Hasn’t Been Asked To Return To RHOA, But She’s Interested!

The current season of Real Housewives of Atlanta has been pretty wild, but I will always miss the golden era of RHOA. The show hasn’t been the same since we saw NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak, and Sheree Whitfield arguing with each other, shifting sides, and pulling wigs. That’s why I’m pretty pumped and hopeful that these rumors about NeNe and Kim coming back to the show may be true.

I never expected either of them to return to the show full time. I just figured – if anything – Kim and NeNe would make a few cameo appearances, stir stuff up, avoid the fray, and then collect their paychecks.

In all honesty, it seems like both Kim and NeNe think that they are way too good for this Housewife life. NeNe has basically said so a million times and has bragged about how she “created” the show and how she’s “too busy” being an actual celebrity. Kim has her own spin-off with her family that allows her to be a reality star without dealing with the clique drama.

So what do Kim and NeNe have to say about the prospect of returning to the show that made them famous? NeNe discussed the possibility in an E! News interview. NeNe did her best to pretend that she is actually a humble person who isn’t actually building up this buzz for herself. NeNe bashfully remarked, “I don’t know what’s wrong with these people and these rumors. They are so ridiculous” as she pretended to be overwhelmed and threw her hands up in the air trying to feign being clueless.

She snapped into being the fiscally-aware and attention-seeking NeNe that we have all come to know when she admitted, “Here’s the deal: I have not been asked back for Season 10 yet. I mean, I don’t know. It’s a little early.” Well, yeah. Season 9 is still airing and they didn’t even tape the reunion yet. So unfortunately it looks like NeNe someone started these rumors a little too soon.

NeNe admitted, “If they need me to come back for Season 10, I’m there.”

Well, yes of course. I don’t see this big acting career that NeNe has been bragging about for years. I love watching her on Fashion Police, but it seems like all the promises of big career moves from NeNe’s ego when she left the show did not really come to fruition. Yes, I know she is a “comedian” now, and she has a store and a website. But she is not an actress – that’s all I’m saying. And there’s no better way to promote her many products and businesses than by playing herself and talking about her stuff on Real Housewives of Atlanta.

During the interview, Jason Kennedy called Kim via Factime and asked her if she’d be willing to become a housewife again. Kim kept it real, admitting, “I’m definitely motivated by money.” She said something else that I couldn’t hear because Jason and NeNe were laughing hysterically, but she added, “Money talks.”

Music News: Trey Songz Announces Release Date For ‘Tremaine’ Album

Shortly after premiering the first episode of his VH1 dating show Tremaine the Playboy, R&B heartthrob Trey Songz has revealed the cover art and release date for his new album, Tremaine.

The seventh studio album from the singer is due out March 24, and is already available for pre-order on iTunes.  The LP includes 15-tracks, including the song “Nobody Else But You,” however the titles of the rest have not yet been revealed.

Leading up to the release of the album Trey plans to drop a new song every Thursday/Friday. He also announced “Tremaine The Tour” will be following the album.

In January, Trey surprised fans with the mixtape, Anticipation III, which followed his collaborative project with Fabolous – Trappy New Years.

Back in 2015 when Trey initially announced the Tremaine album, he shared some details about his direction for the music. “It’s just another layer of myself,” he said. “The ‘Tremaine’ album will kind of be like the base of what my career started as. In music now, in R&B and hip hop, I feel like it’s easy to make women feel sexy and be a bad bitch, but I feel like the ‘Tremaine’ album will kind of put women on the pedestal again, and show that it’s cool to love, it’s cool to want to be romantic, it’s cool to want to be in a relationship.”

Raekwon takes a trip down the “Purple Brick Road” with G-Eazy on a new J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League-produced banger off his forthcoming LP The Wild.

‘Greenleaf’ Cast Holds Press Preview In Atlanta (Photos)

On Friday the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) hosted a press preview of the highly-anticipated second season of “Greenleaf” during the annual aTVfest in Atlanta.

Attendees arrived at the Four Seasons Atlanta and were treated to a buffet lunch followed by a sizzle reel screening and a Q&A with cast members Lynn Whitfield, Keith David, Merle Dandridge, Deborah Joy Winans, Tye White, GregAlan Williams, Kim Hawthorne, series writer Erica Anderson and creator/executive producer Craig Wright.

The new season of #Greenleaf premieres Wed, March 15 at 10pm ET/PT on OWN.

Hampton University President SLAMS ‘The Quad’ in a Letter to BET President Debra Lee [Photos]

BET’s new drama series ‘The Quad’ has been a topic of intense discussion since it premiered a few weeks ago.

Many from HBCUs (historically black colleges and universities) have been vocal about what they feel is a negative representation of their college culture and values.

Hampton University President William R. Harvey took his criticism of the show straight to BET President Debra Lee in the form of a three-page letter. In the letter, Harvey slams ‘The Quad’ for misrepresenting HBCU leadership and student culture.

It reads:Devoid of any reference to academics, The Quad is about a president who is promiscuous, trustees who are unwilling to deal with a rogue band director, and a band director who condones criminal activity on the part of his drum major. The Quad will lead many to believe that HBCUs exist because of their marching bands; that our presidents are unethical; that our boards are dysfunctional and have misplaced priorities; that our faculty, students and administrators are driven by sex, alcohol, marijuana, low self-esteem, parties and a preoccupation with music; that it is acceptable to disrespect women; that university policy can be set by a band director; and that there are no standards of conduct or penalties for bad behavior. This depiction seems more analogous to a disgruntled, adolescent and unrealistic point of view that some may have. It also feeds a false narrative about the irrelevance of HBCUs.

We cannot afford this kind of storytelling. It amounts to the type of ‘fake news’ that is prevalent today. You see, all that most people know about HBCUs is what they see on television. What I saw on BET February 1st was not accurate; rather, it was a bogus representation of very important and historic institutions.

None of us have actually seen the show, so we can’t quite comment on whether or not ‘The Quad’ is ‘damaging’ to HBCUs. However, we do question if a fictional TV show has a responsibility to be 100% accurate in its storytelling.

Mariah Carey Finally Confirms Relationship With Bryan Tanaka

Mariah Carey has finally confirmed her relationship with boyfriend Bryan Tanaka.

While everyone was fairly certain the pop diva was dating her backup dancer, she had yet to make things official.

During an interview with the Associated Press on Wednesday (February 15), Mariah finally referred to Bryan as her boyfriend when asked about her dating life.

“I’m just going to be like ‘I really don’t talk about my personal life.’ Because that’s what I used to do and it really worked for a minute, back, a while ago. I just don’t feel comfortable talking about my personal life….Me and my boyfriend don’t want to do that,” she explained.

Hillary Clinton Meets Up With 'SNL' Star Kate McKinnon in NYC

In a moment of life immitating art, Hillary Clinton met up with the Saturday Night Live star who portrays her, Kate McKinnon!

The duo were spotted dining at Orso restaurant along with SNL writer Sarah Schneider on Wednesday evening (February 15) in New York City.

According to Page Six, the two women “seemed very nice and friendly and had a quiet dinner.”

It’s not known exactly why Hillary and Kate met up but people are speculating that it means Hillary will be appearing on SNL soon.

While it looks like Kate is on great terms with Hillary, the same can’t be said for Alec Baldwin who portrays Donald Trump!
