The Daily Buzz For May 23

Zoe Saldana on the Cover of SHAPE Magazine for June!
"I've Never Wanted Different Hair or My Body Any Other Shape"

Zoe Saldana is glowing as Shape's latest cover star. In the June issue, the actress shares her refreshing take on living a healthy life. We're inspired by her honest and realistic approach and how she balances it out against a busy shooting schedule and a full house of three adorable boys and a supportive husband.

On her fitness routine: "I can't work out regularly, so I compensate by eating a lot healthier than I might otherwise. Once you have relatively healthy eating habits, your workout can become playing with your kids, strolling around the neighbourhood, playing airplane, or just changing diapers."

On what she eats: "When I eat in a balanced way, I think less about food and more about everything else. It's not that I like to eat super light, just super clean. I like food that is fresh. I don't go for things that come in cans — and I'm losing trust in things that come in plastic."

On inspiring others to eat healthy: "I know what it's like to live on a tight budget, but my mum was one of those parents who gave us great food despite our budget. That's where I get who I am from, and I'd like to be a voice of inspiration for my Latino community, as underage diabetes and high blood pressure are on the rise."

Her thoughts on "perfection":" If we could design ourselves, we'd all be perfect. But we can't, so why be unhappy about it? I've never wanted different hair or my body any other shape. And I've never thought of a person as ugly unless they opened their mouth and their heart was full of venom."

On her support system: "When I feel overstimulated by the world, I lean on my family. I have a great partner in life, great sisters, a mom who is a friend, and some male friends I love to pieces too. If I'm suffering and in pain, it hurts more if I don't share how I feel and ask for help. It's so healing when you ask for love and are loved back."

#RHoA: Co-Stars Refused To Film With Phaedra For Season 10
Phaedra Parks’ time on The Real Housewives of Atlanta is officially over following her controversial Season 9 reunion. Parks’ lies about Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams were obviously behind the firing, but was there another reason why producers gave her the boot?
Us Magazine reports that Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen opened up about Parks’ dismissal and why producers decided to go a different direction. For starters, Cohen believes producers didn’t think it was feasible to include Parks next season if her co-stars refused to talk to her.

“The question that we look at now with Phaedra is, when the reunion ended, none of the other women wanted to have anything to do with her. So that’s what you have to look at,” Cohen explained. “How do you shoot a show about a group of friends when no one is speaking to one of the friends?”
Sheree Whitfield added that most of the RHOA ladies are not willing to forgive Parks for spreading lies last season. During the reunion, Parks admitted that she started the rumors about Burruss trying to drug and rape Williams. Drama is nothing new to Bravo’s hit reality franchise, but openly lying about your co-stars is a definite deal-breaker.

“I don’t know, it’s so hard right now. It’s hard to establish trust with someone like that because, for me, it seemed that she showed no remorse for what she did and for her actions,” Whitfield shared. “I think it will be hard for any of the women to forgive.”
Phaedra Parks may have been able to recover after her shocking admission, but she made it worse by blaming producers for her actions. According to TMZ, Parks slammed RHOA producers for giving her bad information about Burruss and Williams. She even claims that producers told her to spread the rumors in the first place just to create drama on the show.

According to E! News, Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel recently fired back and revealed that producers don’t influence the show during filming. Instead, they take a more hands-off approach and do not pressure the ladies into stirring up drama.

“The producers don’t know exactly what’s going on, so they might say, ‘Are you going to talk to Kandi about this?’ They don’t know. They would never do that,” Frankel explained. “It would be a massive problem. This isn’t The Hills, it’s real. It really is. So yeah, no, that would never happen.”

Given how Parks will not return for Season 10, it’s clear that producers didn’t appreciate her throwing them under the bus. Even worse, People reports that Parks’ friendship with Williams will likely never be the same. It’s already been a few weeks since filming for the reunion wrapped up and Parks and Williams still haven’t talked to each other.

'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Season 9 Reunion: Kandi Burruss Slams Porsha Williams Over Rape Allegations [Featured Image by Bravo]
Kandi exploded at Phaedra and Porsha when the truth was revealed at the ‘RHOA’ Season 9 reunion finale.
In fact, Williams recently opened up about the betrayal and admitted that it won’t be easy forgiving Parks and moving on. Parks and Williams have been friends for a long time and hardly went a day without speaking to each other on the phone. Sadly, it sounds like Parks’ lies damaged more than just her career in reality TV.

Fortunately, it looks like the drama between Parks, Williams, and Burruss might finally be at an end. Even more, fans can only hope that Parks’ firing will cut down on the number of rumors spread on the show, though that remains to be seen.

Producers have not announced an official cast list for Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which is expected to start filming in a few months.

#HIPHOPNEWS: Watch The Trailer For Diddy’s ‘Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop’ Documentary
On what would have been The Notorious B.I.G.’s 45th birthday, Sean “Diddy” Combs debuted the trailer for his upcoming documentary, Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story.
Opening with black-and-white scenes of a child on a bicycle, the clip features several people, including Mary J. Blige and Clive Davis, talking about the hip-hop mogul as a visionary.
“He was making music that was making the ground shake,” says Jimmy Iovine, while Nas adds, “Puff changed the whole thing.”
But the trailer for the Daniel Kaufman-directed movie also features a vivid recollection of Biggie’s death. “A car just rolled up,” says Lil’ Cease. “They start firing shots.”

A somber Diddy adds: “As soon as them shots went off, everything came crashing down. I died that night, in that car.”
After debuting the trailer, Puff spoke about the film on the Billboard Music Awards carpet, while standing beside Biggie’s son, Christopher Jordan “C.J.” Wallace.

“It inspired me and reset me, so I want the world to see it. It’s not what you expect,” said Diddy. “It’s gonna inspire anybody, whether you listen to hip-hop…or understand who I am or what the culture is, it’s a movie that’s still one of those inspiring, beautiful messages.”

Rihanna is ‘Over’ Drake After He Calls Nicki Minaj The ‘Love Of His Life’ At The BBMAs
The BBMAs were huge for Drake! He flirted with countless stars and he declared his love for Nicki Minaj! Did that bother his ex, Rihanna? — Hell no! HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that Rih’s never been happier without Drake. BUT, she wants Nicki to know one thing …

The Billboard Music Awards were about more than just good music on May 21. The show was all about Drake, 30 — from his record 13 BBMAs, to his squad-deep crew. But, the biggest jaw-dropper of the night was when he made his reconciliation with Nicki Minaj, 34, official.
Although Drizzy gave a nationally televised shoutout to his old flame, his ex, Rihanna, 29, wasn’t phased by the grand gesture. In fact, “Rihanna‘s so tired of seeing, hearing and discussing Drake,” a source close to the singer has claimed. “She’s over him and has been for a very long time.” Wow!

Ri Ri’s been in the game with Drake since they were first spotted hooking up in 2008, after her split from Chris Brown, 29. She and Drake may have even been involved before that, since they actually met in 2005 in Toronto. Therefore, Rih knows how Drizzy is. “The same grand gestures he did for her, he‘s now doing for Nicki,” our source said. “And he‘ll do it for the next girl and the one after that. Rih just hopes that Nicki isn’t stupid and thinks that she’s Drake’s one and only girl, because she had to learn that the hard way.” Yikes.
Rihanna’s in a much better place after her on-again, off-again relationship with Drake. “She’s at a point in her life where all she wants is to be happy and free of the bullsh-t.” And, Ri feels as free as a bird when she’s not worrying about Drake 24/7. Her past with him is “old and tired.”

In case you missed the BBMAs, Drake and Nicki sat next to each other for most of the show. The only time they were apart were the 13 times Drizzy hit the stage to accept all of his awards. Lol. When he accepted the award for Top 200 Artist, the rapper said, “I want to say Nicki Minaj, I’m so glad we found our way back because I love you and I could never ever ever see it any other way!” Laying it on thick there, Drizzy?
Nicki and the rapper have been good friends and even a rumored hookup for years. However, their relationship hit a rough patch when she began dating Meek Mill, 30, in the beginning of 2015. Meek and Drizzy don’t get along whatsoever. The rap foes actually have diss tracks about one another. But, like Drizzy said, he and Nicki found their way back to each other. It was ironic timing since she just split with Meek in Jan. 2017.

At the end of the Billboard Awards, Drake gave Nicki another shoutout when he accepted the biggest award of the night — Top Artist. However, that time, he ended up bringing Nicki on stage with him. “I got the love of my life up here,” Drake said while he pointed at Nicki. And, you could have guessed that the female rapper felt like a princess on a pedestal all night long. Player or not, it’s got to feel damn good to be Drizzy’s girl.

Michael B. Jordan’s Home Burglarized
Michael B. Jordan has joined the laundry list of celebrities whose homes have been buglarized.

Thieves targeted the actor’s home a few weeks ago according to TMZ.
Law enforcement sources tell us someone broke into Michael’s San Fernando Valley pad a few weeks ago, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry. We’re told the burglar got in after smashing a window.

We’re told no one was home at the time and it appears to be a random hit. Sources tell us cops are waiting for Michael to give them a full list of the items taken.
The “Creed” star joins the ever growing list of celebs to fall victim — Alanis Morissette, Emmy Rossum, Nikki Minaj and Jaime Pressly had their homes jacked in recent months … and, Scott Disick was just hit early Sunday morning.

Lest we forget the fool who broke into Amber Rose‘s home and chilled for four hours.

Judge Says Prince’s Sister, Five Half-Siblings Are Heirs to Estate.
Back in May 2016, The judge overseeing the Prince estate case has authorized genetic testing on a sample of his blood in case it’s necessary to determine who’s entitled to shares of the estate.
Today,  A Minnesota judge has determined that Prince’s sister and five half-siblings are the heirs to his estate.
According to reports, A Minnesota court has determined that Prince’s six siblings are the lawful heirs to his fortune and that the Minnesota music icon left no will before his death last year.
Carver County District Judge Kevin Eide said in January he wouldn’t declare the heirs of the late rock superstar until appeals run their course for others whose claims of heirship have been rejected.

Court documents posted Friday, though, show the court has concluded Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson and five half-siblings — Omarr Baker, Alfred Jackson, Sharon Nelson, Norrine Nelson and John R. Nelson — are the heirs

Universal Sets 2019 Release Date For Jordan Peele’s Untitled Social Thriller
Universal has RSVP’ed Friday March 15, 2019 for Jordan Peele’s next movie. This is the untitled social thriller that was referred to in the news about the filmmaker’s first look deal with the studio under his Monkeypaw Productions banner. Currently, there are no other studio releases slated for that date.

Peele will write, direct and produce his next movie from an original idea. In addition per his Universal deal, Peele will also produce a wide range of titles for the studio, including several micro-budgeted projects on which he will partner with Get Out producer Jason Blum.
Get Out is the box office anomaly of the year, made for $4.5M before P&A and grossing $230M worldwide. At a time when some argue that the film industry should relegate lower and mid-budget fare to streaming for better economics, Get Out is proof that when a distributor holds out for a theatrical release, they stand to make a windfall of cash. A socially-politically arresting horror film, Get Out, was the surprise screening at the Sundance Film Festival. It follows a young African American man who visits his Caucasian girlfriend’s family for the first time, and learns that they’re an offbeat bunch of people. He has but no choice but to escape from their countryside house.

HBCU student Richard Collins III killed by White racist days before graduation
via Richard Collins III Facebook page/via University of Maryland Police Department
Richard Collins III was set to become a graduate of Bowie State University on May 23. But Collins, 23, lost his life after an encounter with a racist.

On May 20, Collins visited two friends who attended the University of Maryland. According to the Baltimore Sun, Collins and his two friends were waiting for an Uber around 3 a.m. when they were approached by Sean Urbanski, 22. Before Urbanski walked by the group, he allegedly yelled, “Step left, step left if you know what’s best for you!” Collins told Urbanski, “no.” Apparently frustrated that a Black person would not comply with his order, Urbanski turned violent. Urbanski stabbed Collins in the chest.

Collins was rushed to a local hospital, but he was later pronounced dead.
Initially, Urbanski was charged with murder, but charges may be upgraded to a hate crime because of his affiliation with a racist organization. Urbanski is a member of the racist Facebook group ALT Reich Nation. The group promotes racism and hate through memes and other forms of online content.

Urbanski is also being investigated by the FBI.
Hate crimes across the nation continue to soar. Over the past few months following the election of President Donald Trump, America has witnessed a surge in hate crimes.
In Houston on May 2, James Scott Lee, 32, began yelling racial slurs at a Black man while holding a knife. Lee yelled, “I hate n—s, and I’m going to kill me one today!” Lee chased his Black victim with the knife and brass knuckles. The Black man eventually escaped by jumping into a car and locking the door.
On March 20, James Harris Jackson traveled to New York for the purpose of killing Black people. He approached Timothy Caughman, 66,  around 11 p.m. and stabbed him several times. Caughman was able to walk to a police precinct, but he eventually died from the stab wounds. One day following the attack, Jackson walked into a police precinct near Times Square and told authorities that he committed the murder.

Collins was an upstanding student at Bowie State and a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Urbanski is currently being held in jail without bond.

Why NAACP dismissed president Cornell Brooks; he says he was caught by surprise
Roland Martin recently interviewed NAACP Board of Directors chair Leon Russell and former president of NAACP–Minneapolis Nekima Levy-Pounds about the organization’s decision to not renew the contract of current president Cornell W. Brooks. Brooks, who has been in office for three years, claims that he was surprised by the decision – though contacts in the organization say he has known about this for some time. The organization claims that this decision is part of a larger change in direction focused on finding more ways to stay engaged in fighting today’s political and civic issues.

Russell said, “There were places where Cornell brought great leadership. The question is, what do you do after you have raised the issue? How do you bring some solution to bear on the problems that are identified? If you [hold a] sit-in in the chairman of the judiciary committee’s office, then across the nation shouldn’t there have been other sit-ins in other members of the committee’s offices to emphasize that you needed them to look at the policy that was being debated? What we recognize is that we have leaders across the country that are going to propel the movement. We have our leadership – it’s in place and we think we can continue this fight. But we want to look forwards and not backwards.”

Levy-Pounds adds, “I always felt that working with him and seeing his leadership style, that he was caught in between two worlds – the old guard and the old way of doing things versus what we’re seeing from new-school leadership…and I don’t know if he was able to make the transition fast enough. I see the adversity that the organization is encountering as an opportunity. You want a leader that can move you towards action at the national level, down to the local chapters.”

The Daily Buzz For May 10

John Legend Discuss Speaking Out as a Celebrity for Town and Country Magazine May/June 2017
Cate Blanchett, John Legend and former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg take the cover of Town & Country‘s June/July 2017 Philanthropy issue.

Here’s what John had to share with the mag:

John, on racism in modern day society: “People feel defensive around the subject of racism, and they shut down, because they feel like they may say the wrong thing and you’ll think less of them. But we have to deal with the fact that these issues have a real impact on people’s lives. There’s a real impact when they’re not getting called back after they’ve applied for a job because they have the wrong name. And there’s a real impact when a police officer assume a person to be more of a threat because of the color of the person’s skin. We are dealing with these things every day, and the only way we are going to fix them is if we confront them, listen to one another, and empathize with one another’s concerns. We can’t worry more about being accused of being racist than we do about actually fixing the racism problem.”
John, on speaking out as a celeb: “Obviously, when you step out on anything that’s controversial, someone disagrees with you. And some people take that disagreement in stride and say, You know, I don’t agree with you, but I like your music, so I’ll still buy it, or, I’ll still come to your shows. Some people can’t separate the two and say, If I disagree with you politically, you’re not going to make money off of me. And that’s just the price that we have to be willing to pay… some of the greatest artists we’ve ever known have been willing to risk some social capital to try to improve the lives of other people.”

#RHoA: Kandi Burruss is deciding if she should sue Phaedra and Porsha over those LIES!
Kandi Burruss is working out whether or not she will sue Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams after the disastrous Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion special.
During the reunion, Williams revealed that she had been told by Parks that Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, planned to drug and rape her. The scandal predictably erupted as soon as it aired, and Burruss has found herself being called “Bill Cosby” on social media because of the allegations.

But Burruss absolutely believes that Parks was calculated in her accusations, saying of her co-star, saying:
Basically y’all got together the day before you know you [Porsha] were going to have to face me and she told you that ‘oh I tried to drug you,’ so that you could say this on national TV. Because they know we were supposed to be having this conversation on camera. So she told you that so that she would try to come at me with this fake info on camera, intentionally.

As for possible legal action, Burruss pointed out that Parks was the one to start the rumor with Williams, and admitted as much during the reunion changes things. She added that her lawyers are still looking into it.
“They [My Attorneys] had told me that I should sue Porsha, at first. And when it came out to the reunion that you know Porsha got the information from Phaedra, I was like, ‘You know what, let’s just hold up until you guys get to see this whole thing and I will get their opinion on how they think I should handle it and go forward from there.’ The only thing is lawsuits are stressful, I am already dealing with Johnny,” she said.

#EMPIRE: Where Is Baby Bella On 'Empire'? She's Stuck In The Middle Of A Family Feud
(Bustle) There have been some weird storylines on Empire, but the ending of the May 3 episode really takes the cake. Things seemed nice and even by the final moments, and that’s when you should know that something bad is about to happen. The Lyon family (even Anika and Mama) are having a nice lunch, everyone is happy, and then Child Protective Services shows up at the door with a S.W.A.T. team (which seems excessive) and a notice to take the baby. Where is Bella on Empire? This kiddo is missing in action.

First things first — who is behind Bella’s disappearance? Well, that could go a few ways. It could be the DuBois family using their influence to ruin the Lyon’s lives. Angelo and Mama DuBois are unhappy that Cookie turned down his proposal (and, uh, made him admit some illegal activity that a hot mic picked up, which ruined his chances of becoming mayor), and they’re out for blood. The DuBois family is political, and they know everyone in the city. They even shut down Lucious’ club! What would stop them from getting the baby taken away, too, even after Jamal gave their scholarship fund an anonymous $5 million from the family as a mea culpa. No mea, no culpa here.

Of course, there is another person who wants to bring the Lyon family (well, okay, just Lucious) down — Andre. With Shine by his side, Andre wants Lucious dead. He already hacked into Empire Enterprise’s computer system once and no one knew that he did it, so maybe he orchestrated this whole Child Protective Services thing in order to play a better hand. In the preview for the May 10 episode, everyone is all, “Where is that baby?” so I think something more malicious is at place here. Andre is smarter and more calculating than he lets on, and he could be behind Bella’s disappearance.

#NEWMUSIC from New Music: Goapele – ‘Secret’
Goapele returned last week with the feel-good, love-based single “Power,” and today (May 5) the angelic vocalist follows up right away with the sultry new song, “Secret.”
The Bay Area songstress borrows from Aaliyah with an interpolation of “Are You That Somebody,” on the melodic slow jam, which is the second release off her forthcoming EP, Dreamseeker, due out May 19.  Over chilling keys and a thumping 808, Goapele sings about an intoxicating, intimate relationship.

“Cause I can’t let you know / I got a secret / I hope you’re responsible / I got a secret / You bring the freak right out of me / I got a secret, can’t keep it / Say yes or say no,” she sings.

Following 2014’s Strong As Glass album, the Dreamseeker EP is said to see Goapele confidently embrace a boundless musical palette, while lyrically exploring sensuality, social consciousness, and motherhood.

“I’m a woman, but I’m also a whole person who won’t be confined to any one box,” she explained about the project. “Nobody is just one thing. Within any race, within any genre, and within any neighborhood, there’s so much diversity. As artists and especially as women of color, we have to be proud of that. I’m coming from an honest place and expressing the different parts of myself that make me whole.”

#HIPHOPNEWS: Logic’s ‘Everybody’ Set to Be His First No. 1 Album
(XXL) It looks like Logic‘s about to take home a big W this week. According to the folks at Billboard, the DMV rapper’s latest project, titled Everybody, is all set to move around 210,000 album equivalent units in its first week, giving him his first ever No. 1 album.
Logic’s last album, titled The Incredible True Story, came pretty close to taking home the No. 1 spot, landing at No. 3 after moving 135,000 album equivalent units in its first week. His first album, Under Pressure, moved under 100,000 album equivalent units in its first seven days on shelves.
It’s clear Logic’s on the come up. That’s good to know, since, you know, Everybody is all set to be his second to last album. In a recent interview with Genius, Logic explained that his next album will be his last.
“That’s going to be the last one. Everything with my life has been so fucking serious and it’s been a fucking message,” Logic explained. “And that’s not to say there won’t be a message and whatever, but I just want to end everything with a really big bang and get the fuck out of here. Better to go out on top like Jerry Seinfeld, nine seasons, No. 1 fucking show in the world, over a billion dollars. I’d rather do that.”
Although Logic insisted he wouldn’t actually be retiring, we should still cherish Everybody and its eventual follow-up as much as possible. You can do some appreciating of Everybody by copping it on iTunes.

Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller Sentenced to Prison
Abby Lee Miler, the former Dance Moms star, has officially be sentenced to prison in her bankruptcy fraud case.

The 50-year-old reality star will have to serve 1 year and 1 day in federal prison followed by 2 years supervised release, EW reports. This all dates back to the October 2015 charges of purposely trying to hide $775,000 of money made off of the Lifetime series and her spin-off, Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition. She was also accused of divvying up $120,000 of Australian currency into plastic bags and having her friends carry the money in luggage. She’s also reportedly been ordered to pay a $40,000 fine.

Awwww, Morris Chestnut's 'Rosewood' Cancelled at Fox
Morris Chestnut has announced that his Fox show Rosewood has been officially cancelled after two seasons.
“I am very grateful about the part that everyone took in Rosewood’s journey, because everyone was truly an integral part; the writers who crafted great story-lines, the actors who brought these stories to life, the production crew who sustained the show’s infrastructure, and the terrific fans who embraced this phenomenon and became just as much a part of Rosewood as anyone else,” the 48-year-old actor wrote on his Instagram.
“FOX provided a platform for a show that made strides in diversity and the images it projected, as all-inclusive. We were able to peer into the lives of characters who displayed their hopes, dreams, courage and fears. Rosewood also helped reinforce a newer definition of Family, as a group of people who most care for and support one another.
The Rosewood family, itself was an Extremely Special group of people who’ll be friends forever,” he added. “This is not only a part of the industry, it’s a part of life. When one door closes, two more can open… Thank you all for your continued #onelove and support. See you back on the screen soon. Big and Small. #PEACE – MC”

OOOPS! Diddy Sued by Former Chef for Sexual Harassment (Showing his Peen)
It looks like Diddy‘s headed to court. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a former chef at the Bad Boy Entertainment boss’ estate is suing him for “sexual harassment, retaliation, defamation, failure to pay overtime and intentional infliction of emotional distress.” The alleged victim, Cindy Rueda, claims the events that led her to sue started when she began working for Diddy back in 2015.
In the suit, Rueda claims she was regularly on the clock from 9 a.m. to 12 midnight without being paid overtime. On top of that, she reported that Diddy would also request her to serve him food directly following his sexual activities, and that once, he even asked her if she liked his body. In another instance, one of Diddy’s friends asked her to “look at and admire his genitals.”

Rueda goes on to report that she’d told Diddy’s estate director, Stacy Friend, about her poor working conditions and that she was eventually “lured into a situation where she could be accused of theft and ultimately terminated.”
The situation Rueda speaks of was seemingly facilitated by someone by the name of Iris, who worked as Diddy’s executive housekeeper at his estate. Apparently, Iris frequently held onto belongings Diddy had discarded—like say, watches for instance—and allegedly offered Rueda one of them.
According to Rueda’s attorney, James Blancarte, “In the days following, Plaintiff was accused of theft and told that she would not be prosecuted if she returned the watch and signed a waiver of all rights and claims against Defendants.”
Blancarte went on to note that Rueda had returned the watch—which she’d apparently been led to believe Diddy no longer wanted—but refused to sign the waivers.
Now, Rueda is looking for “damages for unpaid wages and overtime,” as well as “punitive damages and an injunction to prevent future employees from being inaccurately classified as exempt.”

We have reached out to Diddy’s reps for comment. “This is a frivolous lawsuit by a disgruntled ex-employee who was fired for cause,” reads the statement.

Is There a 3LW Reunion On The Way? Adrienne Bailon-Haughton gives her verdict!
In recent years, many groups have reunited to make new music, tour or even drop a biopic. So, in keeping with New Edition, TLC and most recently Xscape, could girl group 3LW be next?
Well, the folks over at Hip Hollywood asked Adrienne Bailon and she said, “Never say never.”

Made up of group members Bailon, Naturi Naughton and Kiely Williams, 3LW was uber popular in the early 2000s for their hits “No More (Baby I’ma Do Right)” and “Playas Gon’ Play”. Their self-titled debut album went platinum, but things hit a snag just before they dropped their sophomore album — Naughton left the group amid rumors that management was unhappy with her darker skin tone.

Well, fast-forward to now. The girls are grown and on different paths. Adrienne is a co-host on The Real, Naturi is killing it on Power and Kiely attempted a solo music career but it didn’t exactly pan out.

While at the Daytime Emmy Awards, where The Real was nominated, Bailon opened up about a 3LW reunion. She talked to Hip Hollywood and you can check that out HERE!

BREAKING NEWS: Aaron Hernandez's murder conviction vacated
Aaron Hernandez was granted an abatement on his 2015 conviction for the murder of Odin Lloyd, meaning the former New England Patriot is considered not guilty in the eyes of the court.

Bristol County (Mass.) Judge Susan Garsh, who presided over the original trial, ruled in favor of Hernandez’s estate, agreeing that an ancient Massachusetts law should be applied here. It states that if a defendant dies while a conviction is still in the process of appeal then the verdict is vacated. Hernandez, 27, committed suicide late last month while serving a sentence of life without the possibility of parole for the 2013 murder of Lloyd.
“Abatement is the law in this Commonwealth and this court is required to follow that precedent,” Garsh said citing case law. “… the Court has no other choice.”
The Commonwealth is expected to appeal the decision, which will almost certainly wind up in the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. No matter which way Garsh ruled, this was almost assuredly going to be step one in a long legal process.
Hernandez’s attorney, John Thompson, argued in briefs and during a 40-minute hearing Tuesday morning that neither the cause of death nor any assumed motives applied to the law. He noted there was no precedent in any other ruling on the issue that called for abatement not to be granted.

“[The original Lloyd ruling] is not a final conviction,” Thompson said. “And that’s what matters.”
Prosecutor Patrick Bomberg argued otherwise, saying that Hernandez chose to die, thus making a conscious decision to forfeit his appeal process as a way to be cleared, which wasn’t the intent of the law.
“The defendant should not be able to accomplish in death what he could not accomplish in life,” Bomberg argued.
He also noted that Hernandez, according to a state police report, mentioned to an unnamed fellow inmate that he was aware of the abatement law and in a suicide note mentioned to his fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, wrote, “YOURE RICH.”

At stake is not just Hernandez’s record, but potential payouts from the New England Patriots, who could, perhaps, no longer be able to withhold money owed due to a conviction for murder.

“We are arguing there is a motive to [commit suicide],” Bomberg said, noting the financial benefits.

Garsh dismissed that point.
“This court cannot know why Hernandez ended his life,” Garsh said. She cited other possible motives, including Hernandez’s increased spirituality and writings that suggested he was following what he believed was God’s plan, as well as comments that he was seeking redemption on religious grounds. She also noted the fact other inmates heard via a Boston radio show that Hernandez might be bisexual.

If the Hernandez estate does receive financial payments, the family of Odin Lloyd still has a wrongful death civil suit pending. They may be able to gain access to any or all money the Hernandez estate receives, if it receives any. (The Patriots are expected to fight this also if it gets to that). Then there are the families of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado. Hernandez was acquitted of their 2012 murders in a Boston drive-by shooting. However, a civil suit would require a lower standard of proof. There are other creditors also lined up against the Hernandez estate, which is currently valued at $0.00.

Lloyd’s mother and sister led a large group at the hearing of supporters for Lloyd, a former semi-pro football player and landscaper in Boston. That included Shaneah Jenkins, his then girlfriend and the sister of Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, who was not present.
The Lloyd supporters wept at the ruling. Ursula Ward, Lloyd’s mother, left court quickly.

“In our book, he’s guilty and he will always be guilty,” Ward told reporters outside the courthouse. “But I know one day, I will see my son again.”

La La Opens Up About Carmelo Split: “My Family And God Is My Strength”
La La Anthony has been staying pretty mum about her separation from husband Carmelo Anthony.  In recent weeks, the actress/host has been photographed without her wedding ring, but has not commented on the split — until now.
While on the red carpet for VH1’s Dear Mama: An Event To Honor Moms, Anthony told reporters that her family and her faith has helped her get through this tough time. “My family is my strength,” she said. “My family and God is my strength. That’s where I’ve always found my strength my entire life, so now would be no different.”

Anthony, who was co-hosting the event with Anthony Anderson, walked the carpet with her mom and 10-year-old son, Kiyan, whom she says she’ll be spending Mother’s Day with, sans her NBA star husband.
“I just want to be with my mom and my son, and just kind of keep it low key: watch movies, eat good food, listen to music,” she shared. “It’s all about just being around family for us.”
Carmelo, meanwhile, has been making attempts to get his estranged wife back. As previously reported, the New York Knicks player has been asking Anthony out on dates and even requested that the couple go on a vacation to work out their marital issues.

La La, it seems, isn’t interested. Instead, the 37-year-old is focused on being the best mother she can be, a lesson she learned from her own mom.
“My mom just always taught me to let people live, let people be who they are without restrictions, without limitations,” La La said. “I think that’s why I was able to go so far in my life and career — because my mom always supported me, even when I had the craziest ideas ever. So I definitely would do the same with him,and just support him in whatever he wants to do.”

Caitlyn Jenner Knows She Could Beat Donald Trump At Golf
“Well I went back to the inauguration and when I was talking to him all he kept saying is, ‘you gotta come play golf, you gotta come play golf, you gotta come play golf…’,” the 67-year-old reality star told James Corden on The Late Late Show on Monday (May 8).

“But there was this title nine legislation that Obama had passed as far as some guidelines, federal guidelines on some LGBT issues, especially trans issue,” Caitlyn continued. “And he turned that down. That was it for me, I was very upset about that, we do need some federal guidelines when it comes to equality for the LGBT community, especially my side. That really upset me so I thought I can’t go down there and play golf with him now.”

“I would get destroyed by the community,” Caitlyn concluded. “And plus I don’t think that he wants to get beat by a 67-year-old trans woman.”

‘Good Night’
Sometimes I’m amazed at the efforts people will make to take a nap. Ask them to check in the back for something and that’s too much to do, but figuring out a place to catch a few zzz’s on the job is no problem.

HAVE A GREAT DAY ALL!!!
