Oprah Winfrey COVERS "The Hollywood Reporter" RULE BREAKER Issue
Oprah Winfrey covers The Hollywood Reporter's "Rule Breaker" issue where the magazine covers the dramatic turnabout that OWN has done in terms of ratings. Oprah commented on her change of fortune herself saying, “I’m not doing the hula yet …but compared to a year ago, it feels like a sigh of relief."
She explains her initial lack of success with OWN saying, “Part of my own expectation was, ‘You’ve had 25 years of success; people will leverage that. But we didn’t account for people not having the channel, and not knowing how to find it, and the cable audience being different from broadcast.”
Congrats to Oprah! I’m happy people are finally tuning into OWN.
Tiny Tonight Debuts On Vh1, It Doesn't go so well!
VH1 took “ratchet” to a whole new level (literally) with Tiny’s new talk show, Tiny Tonight. The show was hosted by TI’s wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris and featured her celeb friends Trina, Tamar Braxton and Claudia Jordan. The show was an hour long which gave the ladies more than enough time to go through some of the hottest topics of the year like whether or not Beyonce faked her pregnancy, The Rihanna/Chris Brown/Karrueche love triangle and the Mariah Carey/Nicki Minaj American Idol drama.
Tamar, who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind throughout the hour, was catching it left and right on Twitter from the Beyonce stans who were pissed that she didn’t believe Beyonce carried her baby.
Judging from the reaction on twitter, there is an audience for the show and it has the potential to be successful. (It was a top trending topic throughout the night.) There were times that it was easy to forget that Tiny was the host of the show, but she was very charming and relatable. Throughout the hour, she shared personal stories on meeting Whitney Houston and getting a chance to rub Beyonce’s belly. She also revealed that Mimi, from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, used to clean her home. The other hosts all brought a different dynamic to the show as well. While Tamar was very outspoken, Trina was very reserved and politically correct as to not piss anyone off. Claudia Jordan was very poised and articulated her thoughts on each topic very well, however, there was noticeable tension between herself and Tamar Braxton.

The panel was discussing the love triangle between Joseline, MiMi and Stevie J when Tamar said she wasn't convinced Joseline was a woman and Claudia said you could tell Joesline was a man by her shoulders. Joseline was not amused....LOOK BELOW
Tiny’s hairstylist Shekinah will become a fan favorite. She took to the streets to ask random folks about their favorite reality show and if they’ve ever heard the term, “Ratchet”. She eventually joined the ladies in the studio and was super funny as she gave her commentary on various topics, including the Tanning Mom.
Overall, if you don’t mind seeing celebs giving commentary on other celebs uncensored, this show may be for you.

The star athlete created a pop up shop, where no kid left empty-handed after visting "Santa Bosh's Workshop."
In the midst of all the gift giving, Chris took some time out to play games with the kids.

New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards is being sued for child support again after fathering a second love child with yet another woman, Page Six can exclusively reveal.
Edwards, 29, is being sued in Manhattan Family Court by stunning fashion blogger Ashton Whittington after she gave birth to a son, Ashton Arthur Whittington, who is now 18 months old.
The NFL star — who joined the Jets earlier this month after tweeting “idiots calling shots” were ruining the team and makes his return in [last] night’s game — was also sued in 2010 by “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Nik Pace with whom he secretly fathered a son, Braylon Jr., now 3.
Judge Refuses To Lift Meek Mill’s Travel Ban
Meek Mill was supposed to make stops in Lagos, Nigeria and Libreville, Gabon but may not be able to because of travel restrictions from his 2008 probation.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports, the rapper was unable to convince a judge to lift the travel restriction on his probation from a 2008 conviction for assault, weapons violations and drug charges. He was sentenced to 11 to 23 months in prison and 5 years of probation. He was hoping to get the ban removed so he would not have to ask permission from the court to travel for his tour dates. His lawyers said keeping the ban in place could cost the him about $500,000 in earnings in the coming weeks.

Lance Gross graces the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Out. Throughout the past year, the 31-year-old actress has been transitioning to life behind the lens as a photographer; turning his camera on a number of his celebrity friends – including Teyana Taylor, in a shoot in which she paid homage to Janet Jackson.
As he sat down with the magazine for the vintage-inspired shoot, he chats about his latest film, The Last Fall, why being a role model to kids is important to him and if he thinks about becoming a father; he also shares that the reactions he gets from women, is still a trip to him.
On The Last Fall: The Last Fall is an independent [film] that I did with director Matthew Cherry, starring myself, Nicole Beharie, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Keith David and Harry Lennix. You know, there is just a lot of great talent in this film. I actually starred in it, and was a producer as well. It was the first project I produced, so this was a step in the right direction of me increasing the number of things under my belt.
On if being a role model to children so important to him: I grew up in Oakland, [Calif.], and I just remember how it was growing up there. I had my father, and he was an amazing man and an amazing role model, so I always wanted to mirror that … So when I got into this business, I told myself that I wanted to be somebody that little kids aspired to be like … I just think it’s real important — especially for young black males — because I look at the guidance that my father gave me. I had friends who didn’t have that growing up, and I see how they turned out compared to how I turned out, and it’s a big difference. So I think that I owe that to my father, because he played his part, he did what he was supposed to do, and he set a great example … I just want to keep continuing to set the example that my father set for me.
On if he thinks about to becoming a father so he can pass down all of the things that his father taught him: Oh yeah, of course! … I definitely want children. That’s important to me, so I just want to make sure that I’m completely prepared for it when that day comes.
On if he’s used to the amount of attention he gets from women: No, it’s still a trip to me. It always feels new, and I can never get used to that. I mean, I’m humble … to me, I’m just a regular cat from Oakland, California. The attention is nice, though, and I really appreciate it. I appreciate every compliment, and never let any of it go to my head.

Keyshia Cole Refuses To Open For The Weeknd
Is The Weeknd hotter than Keyshia Cole? I like them BUT NO…..Keyshia has paid her dues.
For some reason or another, her hometown radio station in Oakland obviously thinks so. Keyshia Cole was recently scheduled to perform at KMEL’s House of Soul concert in Oakland, however, fans were left disappointed when she pulled out last minute. This morning, Keyshia took to her twitter to explain why she was a no-show, which she said had everything to do with the station wanting her to open for The Weeknd.

Months ago, K. Michelle was involved in a similar situation when she was booked to perform a show with Musiq and Lyfe Jennings. She refused to go on before Lyfe and pulled out of the show. Granted, Keyshia Cole has way more years in the industry under her belt than the Weeknd.
Jovan Belcher had a SECRET GIRLFIREND and wanted to Kill the actual GIRLFRIEND OVER HER?
Kansas City Chief's linebacker Jovan Belcher who shot his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins 15 times before taking his own life earlier this month, apparently told his secret girlfriend that he would shoot Perkins 'if she didn't leave him alone.'
Belcher, 25, was having an intimate relationship with the other woman who is believed to be called Britnni Glass and told her in a text message around early November that if Perkins didn't leave him alone he would take her life, the report said. The woman thought the text was a joke.
Furthermore, it is alleged that Jovan Belcher is reported to have had drinks and dinner with Glass before he arrived home, shot his girlfriend after a blazing row, and then ended his own life.
Belcher shot Perkins, 22, at least ten times after an argument in their house and then turned a gun on himself about 15 minutes later outside the Chief's practice facility as head coach Romeo Crennel, General Manager Scott Pioli and other staff looked on.
The other woman: Brittni Glass spent the night with Belcher before he murdered his girlfriend but has since denied the two had a sexual relationship prosecutor, who has ruled the event a murder-suicide. They include dozens of interviews with witnesses.
He and Perkins, parents of a three-month-old girl, had a stormy relationship, according to interviews police conducted with Belcher's other girlfriend, also 22. She told police that Belcher complained about Perkins threatening to take all his money and the baby if they broke up.
He said Perkins 'knew exactly how to press his buttons and make him angry,' according to a summary of the woman's interview with police.
Belcher had been with the woman and some of her friends at a downtown Kansas City entertainment district the night before the shooting, the woman said. He spent part of the night in her apartment and part of it sleeping in his car before going home early in the morning, the report said.
He and Perkins were arguing before he shot her, his mother, Cheryl Shepherd, told police. Shepherd had moved in with the couple two weeks earlier to help care for the baby. Shepherd heard Belcher say 'You won't talk to me that way' and then she heard a thump and gunshots.
Shepherd rushed into the bedroom and found Perkins laying on the bathroom floor, she told police. Before fleeing the house, Belcher knelt next to Perkins, apologized and repeatedly kissed her, his daughter and his mother, Shepherd said.
Belcher drove off in his Bentley to the practice facility at Arrowhead several miles away, where he pulled into the parking lot and saw Pioli, the report said. Pioli quoted Belcher as saying, 'I did it, I killed her.' Belcher held a handgun to his own head. 'I got to go, can't be here, and take care of my daughter,' Pioli recalled Belcher saying.
He had asked to speak with Crennel and linebacker coach Gary Gibbs, the report said. Crennel told police he pleaded with Belcher to put down the gun. One witness said she heard Crennel say, 'you're taking the easy way out.'
Belcher lowered the gun, but only to load a round into the chamber, Crennel told police. Seeing a police officer in the distance and hearing sirens, Belcher knelt behind a mini-van, blessed himself and fired the gun into his temple, the report said.
Kansas City Chief's player Jovan Belcher shot his girlfriend dead before shooting himself because she told him he was not the father of their baby daughter, it was revealed today.
The Long Island mother of the player Cheryl Shepherd said the couple argued over the paternity of their three-month-old daughter right before the murder suicide at her son's home in Missouri.
Mrs Shepherd was in the home when her son shot Kasandra Perkins, 22, nine times before fleeing. He is believed to have kissed her dying body and their baby daughter goodbye before he left.
A source told the New York Post: 'The mother believed that there was an issue over whether [Belcher] was the father. She said he believed he wasn’t necessarily the father of the child.'
A Kansas City law-enforcement source confirmed: 'She told police there was a question about the paternity.'
It is unclear if the paternity issue was the reason why the rocky relationship ended in such a violent and tragic way.
The source added: 'The implication was that paternity was what the two of them were fighting about — that the baby might not have been his.'
The couple had been receiving counseling for relationship and financial problems, police said.
A spokeswoman said she would not comment on the doubts raised over baby Zoey's paternity.
According to the New York Post, she is set to receive more than $1million over the years until she reaches 18. It is not clear if this was based on the results of a pregnancy test.
Belcher’s beneficiary will also get $600,000 in life insurance, a $100,000 retirement account and $200,000 for each of the four seasons played.
A Kansas City police spokeswoman said the baby's paternity wouldn’t be part of the department’s murder-suicide probe.
'That would not be something they’re going to investigate,' said Sgt Marisa Barnes. 'It’s a "he-said, she-said" so there’s no way to investigate. It would be nothing more than a civil matter.'
Odd Future Says Accuser Swung First
The members of Odd Future claim they did not throw the first punch in an altercation that took place at their concert in San Antonio, Texas on December 8th. Seventeen-year-old Chassan Rasagi is accusing the rap collective of beating him for jumping on stage. Rasagi reportedly received lacerations on his head and scratches and burns to his body as a result of the incident. Reps from the rap collective tell Pitchfork.com that Rasagi swung first.
They also revealed screenshots from Rasasgi’s Twitter account, which they say demonstrate he was the aggressor. The images show Rasagi retweeted a message that says he was the first person to throw a punch during the incident. In the Twitter posts he also brags about his plans to sue the rap group. He writes that he will post a picture of the check once he gets it.
The dust up was caught on tape by members of the audience. The grainy footage shows someone from the crowd on stage before the fight, but it is unclear who attacked first. Odd Future formed in 2007 with Tyler, the Creator; Left Brain; Hodgy Beats; Matt Martians; Jasper Dolphin and Casey Veggies. The group later added six other members, including Frank Ocean who was recently nominated for six Grammy Awards.

Jamie Foxx Says Hollywood Influences Gun Violence
Only days after the Sandy Hook Elementary school tragedy and debates have already began about issues addressing the bigger picture–like gun control, the right to bare arms and influences of gun violence in schools. Regular folk like you and I, along with politicians and celebs have weighed in on who or what is ultimately responsible. Actor Jamie Foxx, one of the industry’s biggest stars, gave his two cents on the travesty. During a promo run for Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film, “Django Unchained,” the actor explained:
“We cannot turn our back and say that violence in films or anything that we do doesn’t have a sort of influence. It does.”
Kerry Washington, Jamie’s ‘Django’ co-star, also chimed in:
“I do think that it’s important when we have the opportunity to talk about violence and not just kind of have it as entertainment, but connect it to the wrongs, the injustices, the social ills.”
Meanwhile, Tom Cruise’s new action movie, “Jack Reacher,” in Pittsburgh and the family comedy “Parental Guidance” in Los Angeles were postponed. Also, Fox pulled new episodes of “Family Guy” and “American Dad” that were to air Sunday to avoid potentially sensitive content
Woman Says Trey Songz Blackened Her Eye With A Wad Of Cash
It looks like throwing cash is the new throwing bows. And you might just get arrested for it.
While watching some ladies drop it like it’s hot at Club Perfection in Queens back in September, Trey Songz apparently found himself behind bars after he allegedly assaulted a woman at the club. Contrary to reports that he threw money at a stripper employed at the night spot, it has now been revealed that the real victim is a 36-year-old nurse from Staten Island named Donna McIntosh-Inoe who was there for Trey’s Chapter V album release party.
According to Donna’s husband, he dropped $700 for tickets to sit in the VIP section with Trey and his crew. Shortly afterward, things went downhill when Donna tried to take a photo of Trey with her cellphone. She didn’t think it was a big deal because the strippers were doing the same thing, but she says that Trey was not happy when he saw her snap the shot. Donna told the Daily News he went off and threw a knotted up wad of cash at her, which hit her in her face and blackened her eye.
“He chucked a wad of cash at me. A wad of cash. I didn’t even know I had a bruise on my face until after I left the club. I had to walk around a whole week with a black eye.”
“Everyone else was taking a picture,” she said. “The difference for me and the other girls is that they were naked and I had clothes on. He tried to delete the picture, but he didn’t know how to use my phone,” she said. McIntosh-Inoe said she couldn’t bring herself to pick up the discarded greenbacks.
“It was insulting that he just threw something. He was verbally disrespectful as well. . . . He embarrassed me in front of everyone in the club.”
Afterward, Donna went to the police station near her house and reported the assault. She currently has an order of protection out against Trey and they are expected back in court in February.
Meanwhile, Trey nor his reps haven’t said anything about the assault since it happened. How in the world did this fly under the radar if it happened back in September?

She said she can’t believe her luck after buying a palatial $12million home and wakes up at dawn every morning just to watch the sun rise over her pool.
Now, new pictures show the sprawling vistas Rihanna has been gushing about on Twitter.
The 24-year-old singer's new home in Los Angeles' posh Pacific Palisades neighbourhood boasts seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and 20 parking spaces, according to real estate website Trulia.

'I literally wake up every morning at 5:30ish and stare at my pool til the sun comes up! Just waiting! Is this my life,' she recently wrote on Twitter.
The home is decorated in neutral cream and white tones and is quintessential California living with several indoor-outdoor spaces, including what appears to be the singer's bedroom she tweeted about, with a perfect view of the pool.

Fans cry at your presence these days. How does that feel?
It’s nuts [laughs]. I feel, honestly, that you have to constantly remind yourself that you are just like everyone else because everyone is treating you like you’re not. People are making you their savior, their role model, their idol. People actually love you, and it’s crazy. They’re like, ‘Don’t change’ [laughs] but you have to in a way. There’s no way not to. But you still want to keep the part of you that is pure.
How do you see yourself changing?
Being a little bit more serious. That’s something I’m starting to embrace a little bit more. When I am serious, I get so much accomplished. There’s so much room for me to grow as an artist. Maybe some of my sounds are R&B, maybe some of my songs are folk, maybe they’re just songs and there is no name for what it is. I embrace it because I think there is a new wave of R&B that, in a way, is not even R&B; there’s just nothing else to really call it. But you have artists like Frank Ocean, Miguel, myself—it’s not mainstream R&B.
What experiences do you definitely want to talk about?
For me, dating is like a really different thing. I have to look at everybody and say, ‘Why are you here?’ It’s kind of messed up, but it’s true. I know what it’s like on the other side. I’m literally meeting people that just completely overlooked me and now they think that they’re just meeting me for the first time.
