Pharrell Covers GQ's February 2015 Issue
In addition to 17 other artists, Pharrell is featured in the new issue of GQ as part of its Legacy Project -- musicians who are leaving something behind. And P dropped a few nuggets (as GQ followed him throughout his day for 13-hours) as to how his machine has gotten him umpteen Grammys and legacy status.
On why he surrounds himself with women—including his two assistants, art director, and choreographer: “I am a sensitive person, so I want to be with sensitive people. Women have a way of expressing themselves that I can relate to more honestly.”
On his discontent over a recent T.I. record: “They did that record hoping for radio play, and they got nothing out of it.… Great, you got your No. 1 hip-hop song. But what does that do for your sales?”
On not caring about appealing to the masses: “You want to be camouflage? Go ahead. Blend in. But we want to be that twinkle in the sky. And you might not be able to see that star now. But it’s daytime. Wait till it gets dark.”
Overheard while in Pharrell's presence--a new Big Sean track is on the way: “Send [Big] Sean an e-mail and tell him he’s got a missile coming,” Williams tells his assistant before calling Sean himself: “It’s not what we talked about, man. But it’s haaaaard. It’s like ghost-of-Shaka-Zulu hard!”

It appears that Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson may be a father for a fifth time. Today, Ocho’s girlfriend, Crystal, posted a photo of a sonogram (below), with the caption:

Supahead LEAKS Lil Wayne, Leakes Christina Milian text messages!
Karrine Steffans and Christina Milian have been going through a bit of back and forth lately, with Karrine seemingly throwing shade at the “Say I” singer last week, though she denied this in a recent VladTV exclusive. Milian, on the other hand, directly references Steffans in her shot back, saying no man has ever claimed her the way she and Wayne claim each other.
Reports Vlad: Steffans is responding via Instagram once more, sharing a text message presumably between herself and the man in the middle of all of this, Lil Wayne. In the text, Wayne says he can’t believe Milian would say such things about Steffans, and proceeds to apologize on Milian’s behalf, saying he thanks Karrine for being a lady while Milian didn’t behave as such.

NeNe Leakes Explains Apology to Claudia Jordan: My behavior was inappropriate.
A mature person can admit when he or she is wrong and that is exactly what NeNe Leakes is doing. In her personal blog post the Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star explains why it was essential that she apologize to cast mate, Claudia Jordan.
In short, she feels that calling Claudia a whore and downplaying her accolades may not have been the proper move:
"Apologies are needed and there are times when we act out and make mistakes, and you just have to say, “I’m sorry!” Saying you’re sorry doesn’t mean you’re weak, and it doesn’t mean you’re a bad person; but for me, it certainly meant I had a moment where I felt my behavior was inappropriate and I wanted to take full responsibility for that. With that said, I never said I lied about anything,"
"I just felt some things didn’t have to be said in that setting. This I can tell you about me: I don’t apologize honestly if I don’t feel it’s necessary. Many times people say they’re sorry just to get out of things, but that’s not me. If I said it, I meant it, and I’ll leave it like that. Honestly if I apologize, it means something and it’s coming from a sincere place."
She continues:
"Many times with this group I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t, as you saw when I tried apologizing. These girls don’t want to let it go. They want to keep it going with me for as long as possible. I wonder why?"
"My name is thrown around by these girls so much that I’m in total amazement. Seriously, I cannot believe it! Even though my apology was not fully accepted, I’m glad I was able to at least offer it, because having peace within myself was good enough for me."
"Thanks for listening. Let me go back to wiggling my toes, because people are always trying to figure me out, and I just let them!"

FOX’s “Empire” Renewed for Second Season
If you’ve been enjoying Empire since its premiere a couple of weeks ago, you’ll be excited to know that it’s already been renewed for a second season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network used its executive session to hand out early 2015-16 pickups to the series.
Empire has become Fox’s breakout hit after only two episodes. The 20th Century Fox Television drama from Lee Daniels and Danny Strong has emerged as the No. 1 new series of the season. Following its second episode, it is the only new broadcast drama this season to grow from week one to week two. In live-plus-same-day returns, it tied ABC’s How to Get Away With Murder as the No. 1 new broadcast series premiere among adults 18-49. Starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, the hip-hop Dynasty has more VOD viewing than any other Fox show this season, earning more than 1.1 million total viewers.
Congrats to the cast and crew on snagging a second season!
D’Angelo Set to Perform on “Saturday Night Live”
D’Angelo fans are in for a treat.
In less than 2 weeks, the reclusive musician and his backing band Vanguard will hit the Saturday Night Live stage to perform tracks from his new album.
The performances are set to take place January 31 and will mark D’Angelo’s first ever appearance on the Emmy Award-winning comedy show.
His SNL appearance will also mark the first time he’s performed since releasing his new album Black Messiah with short notice in December, as well as the first time he’s performed on television since rocking the stage at the 2012 BET Awards and Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana.
We’re absolutely loving Black Messiah, so words cannot begin to express our excitement to finally receive televised performances of a few of the album cuts.

Five members of Delta Sigma Theta have been permanently expelled for appearing on the VH1 reality show Sorority Sisters…
According to reports Adrene Ashford, Lydia Mitchell, MeToya Monroe, Pryanka Banks and Shanna McCormick had their pearls repossessed January 13, 2015 Delta Sigma Theta's Founders Day.
Alpha Kappa Alpha also took action against its two members suspending April McRae and Joy Hammond for 18 months.
VH1 quietly aired the final three episodes of Sorority Sisters last Friday night, with no-repeats, and have since scrubbed their website clean of references to the show.
‘With This Ring’ Cast Regina Hall, Eve Cooper & Jill Scott Get FAB For “TODAY” Show
We are days away from the premiere of the LIFETIME original movie With This Ring, starring Regina Hall, Eve Cooper & Jill Scott. And we already know it's going to be good.
Directed by "The Game"'s Nzingha Stewart, With This Ring is a tv adaptation based on the fabulous book "The Vow" by Mitzi Miller, Angela Burt Murray and Denene Millner. And it tells the story of three career driven women who are bestfriends that make a promise, after attending their friend's NYE wedding, to get married within 1 year. The telefilm was executive produced by “Being Mary Jane” star Gabrielle Union and “EXTRA” co-host Tracey Edmonds.
This morning, the leading ladies made an appearance on the “TODAY” show looking absolutely stunning as they posed in front of a wedding backdrop in honor of their new film. The ladies dished to the morning show hosts about the cultural pressure to get married and how it has affected their personal lives.
Regina, who recently starred in Think Like A Man 2, explained how her personal life was parallel with her character. She revealed she actually made a pact with her girlfriends once, in real life, vowing to be married by a certain age or they would have to marry “that guy” who was always into them but they weren’t really that much into him. She said she never made it down the aisle, so she’s currently still living the single life.
Get On Up actress Jill Scott chimed in on a time she gave a guy an ultimatum to marry her. And he had to propose before the new year (similar to the movie). She said he ended up proposing to her on Dec. 30th, but realized it was a terrible decision. So, she too, is living the unmarried life.
BUT…one cast mate IS actually married in real life. Eve married British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper in June 2014 with a lavish ceremony in Ibiza, Spain. She gushed about her new title as Mrs. saying, “It’s honestly really good. It’s different but I love it. I’m really happy”. Sweet.

According to rumors, Beyoncé and Jay Z had been fervently house hunting in L.A., quieting touring their most expensive neighborhoods in hopes of settling down.
Well, according to brand spanking new reports, moving to L.A. is on hold after the power couple missed out on the $70 million mansion they had been considering.
New Couple Alert: Steve Jobs' billionaire widow Laurene Powell and new love former-DC mayor Adrian Fenty?
With more than a $10 billion to her name, it's little surprise that Steve Jobs' businesswoman widow likes to treat herself.
Laurene Powell, 51, was spotted grinning after a shopping trip with her new beau, ex-Washington D.C. mayor Adrian Fenty, during their Caribbean vacation on Tuesday evening.
Fenty, 44, carried shopping bags as he followed his girlfriend to a boat at the dock, presumably to return to their yacht, where they were seen sunning themselves earlier this week.
The happy duo looked at ease as they walked together along the dock before being helped into the small boat, where they sat close to each other.
The couple was first rumored to be dating in the summer of 2013 but these are among the first photos of their budding romance.
Powell was left widowed after Apple founder Steve Jobs passed away, aged 56, from complications from pancreatic cancer in October 2011. They had three children together and Powell is also step-mother to Jobs' daughter, Lisa Brennan-Jobs.
Fenty, mayor of Washington D.C. between 2007 and 2011, formally announced his separation from his wife of 15 years, Michelle, in January 2013. They also have three children together.
Sources told the Washington Post that summer that Fenty and Powell started seeing each other around the same time, but there is no suggestion that Powell had anything to do with the separation.
It is believed the two met at a Houston education conference in 2011 and bonded over school reform; Powell is the founder of Emerson Collective, which advocates for education reform, among others, while Fenty's focus during his mayorship with education. HMMMMMM!

You'll recall, reports alleged the "Born Sinner" rapper popped the question to his longtime girlfriend (supposedly of 10 years) with a stunning four-carat diamond ring. It was also alleged the twosome have chosen a date and location. Well, after seeing her all smiles posing it up in front of a collection of bridal gowns, maybe it's closer than we think.
