#RHOA: #TWIRL, Kenya Moore Tells BravoCon Fans to "Just Fast Forward" on Nene Leakes' on the show!
This season on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, someone has been noticeably absent thus far: That would be Nene Leakes. The same can be said of the couches at the Peach Tea Sip and See panel at BravoCon 2019, where Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, Cynthia Bailey, and Eva Marcille gathered without their costar to spill the tea on all the happenings in the ATL. When moderator Sylvia Obell acknowledged Nene's absence, for one 'Wife in particular, there was no love lost.

"We're here because we wanted to be here for the fans," Kenya said of being at BravoCon. And when Nene ultimately does appear on Season 12 of RHOA (tune in Sunday night at 8/7c to see!), the former pageant queen is going to "just fast forward through her parts."

Earlier this month, Kenya said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that Nene is "pretty much dead to me." So, is there any hope of reconciliation ever?
“I was a girl before who would never say never," Kenya told the crowd at BravoCon. "With regard to Nene… I just think that relationship is done pretty much... This season [of RHOA] is phenomenal... You will learn why I don’t have any hope in having a relationship.”

During The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 11 After Show, Nene spoke about her issues with Kenya: "I am the kind of friend that when you call me, I make the time to talk to you. Kenya is the kind of friend that when she has time, she will call you, and there's a f--king difference. Kenya is not around for [Cynthia] to talk to and yet, she acts as if she and Kenya are friends. That's the problem that bothers me."

#Empire: Taraji P. Henson Says Disgraced Actor Jussie Smollett Is ‘Still My Baby’!
*FOX’s music drama “Empire” will soon come to an end, and series star Taraji P. Henson says she’s down for a cast reunion after the series wraps, but only if Jussie Smollett is involved.
“Oh, absolutely. [But,] we have to see Jussie [Smollett],” she explained to ABC Audio. “I feel like there’s really no way to wrap this show up without him. He was…and is such an integral part.”

Smollett was indicted earlier this year on 16 counts of disorderly conduct in Chicago for filing a false police report after claiming he was the victim of a homophobic hate crime in late January. All charges were eventually dropped, a decision that is currently being reviewed by a special prosecutor.
Smollett was written out of the final episodes of Season 5 after he was arrested and charged in connection with the incident, and he has been maintaining a low profile ever since.
“Empire” creator Lee Daniels confirmed in June that Smollett would not return as Jamal Lyon for the show’s final season.

“This is not factual,” Daniels tweeted. “Jussie will NOT be returning to Empire.”
But Henson, who plays Jussie onscreen mother, Cookie Lyon, says the cast “miss[es] him dearly.”
“That character was very important to our show, especially for the LGBT community,” she says. “So, we’re trying to keep him alive without him being there.”
“I know Cookie is because that was her baby,” she continues. “Still her baby. And he my baby — still in real life.”

“Empire” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.

#HipHopNews: Tory Lanez’ Wants You To Stream His Album ‘Chixtape 5’!
After much anticipation, Tory Lanez unleashes Chixtape 5, the fifth installment in his popular throwback series. And this time he’s not playing around. Not only did he remake some of his favorite R&B hits from the early 2000s, but he also got the original artists to appear on them.
Ashanti revisits her 2002 smash “Foolish” on “A Fool’s Tale” (and also appears on the cover), Lil Wayne and Lloyd remake “You” on “Thoughts,” and Chris Brown turns up on “The Take,” a 2019 update of “Take You Down.”
“When me and Chris work, we just work mad fast,” Tory told Rap-Up. “I didn’t think he would do it honestly and he just came out the clutch and sent it one day.”

Other guests on the nostalgic 18-track set include Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Jagged Edge, Jermaine Dupri, The-Dream, Mýa, Trey Songz, Fabolous, and more.
This marks the first time Tory has released a Chixtape to streaming services. The first mixtape dropped in 2011 and quickly became a fan favorite, leading to three more in 2014, 2015, and the latest, Chixtape 4, in 2017.

NFL tried to put Colin Kaepernick in legal checkmate At his Workouts in Georgia!
The NFL’s Colin Kaepernick dog-and-pony show about nothing was about something, after all.

It was about extinguishing the second lawsuit that Kaepernick could file for ongoing collusion plus retaliation against him for his first grievance that was settled for a payment reportedly between $1 million and $10 million.
That’s the inescapable conclusion from the assertion, as made by Kaepernick’s lawyer and Kaepernick’s agent, that the NFL demanded that he sign a broad waiver, including a waiver of potential employment claims.

Let that one sink in. The league, under the guise of acting out of the goodness of its own heart and/or to assuage the guilt of 32 months of Kaepernick being wrongfully denied an opportunity, set up a workout for all teams (even though any team could work him out at any time) and then, as he showed up for it, asked him to sign a waiver that not only protected the league and the Falcons against a torn ACL or some other injury that could have happened during the workout but also exonerated the league of any and all responsibility for the violations of his rights that may have (have) occurred since he grievance was settled in February.

As a source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT, when Kaepernick’s camp suggested a standard injury waiver that didn’t sweep broadly to absolve the NFL from its ongoing violation of his rights, league representatives said that the proposed release had been drafted by NFL general counsel Jeff Pash, and that Pash wanted his release to be signed.
Pash’s name constantly has been mentioned behind the scenes as the person who was believed to have devised this entire scheme. From Kaepernick’s perspective, it wasn’t about Roger Goodell cleansing his conscience, and it wasn’t about Jay-Z repairing his reputation. It was about Pash, recognizing that the failure to buy out Kaepernick’s ongoing employment rights in February coupled with an ongoing cold shoulder created the very real possibility for a second lawsuit that would have taken far more cold hard cash from the league than the first one.

By moving the workout from the Falcons’ facility to a new location, Kaepernick has escaped checkmate, and he has escaped a potential checkmate. If any team representatives who were ready to watch him work out at the Falcons’ facility fails to attend the session at the alternate location, the end result could be legal checkmate for the NFL.

At this point, given the clumsy, awkward manner in which Pash’s scheme has played out, the only way to avoid a second lawsuit from Kaepernick could be to do what should have been done in the first place, if the league truly wanted to help Kaepernick: Pick up the phone and make whatever deal has to be made behind the scenes with one of the NFL’s teams to give the guy a job.

Netflix Responds to Mo’Nique Pay Discrimination Lawsuit: ‘Our Opening Offer to Mo’Nique Was Fair’!
Netflix has responded to actress and comedian Mo’Nique’s pay discrimination lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday.
“We care deeply about inclusion, equity, and diversity and take any accusations of discrimination very seriously. We believe our opening offer to Mo’Nique was fair — which is why we will be fighting this lawsuit,” a spokesperson for Netflix said in a statement to TheWrap.
Mo’Nique’s complaint accused Netflix of gender and race discrimination, saying that the company had given her a “low-ball” and “discriminatory” offer of $500,000 as a “talent fee” for a one-hour stand-up special, while other comedians were offered millions of dollars per special.

“When the talent was not a Black woman, Netflix offered to pay, and did pay, astronomically more than it pays to Black women like it offered to Mo’Nique,” the complaint reads. It also lists several other comedians and what they were paid by Netflix for comparison.
The filing goes on to say that “Netflix reportedly offered or paid [Chris] Rock, [Dave] Chapelle [sic], [Ellen] Degeneris [sic], and [Ricky] Gervais forty (40) times more per show than it offered Mo’Nique, and it offered [Amy] Schumer twenty-six (26) times more per show than Mo’Nique. In short, Netflix’s offer to Mo’Nique perpetuates the drastic wage gap forced upon Black women in the America’s workforce.”

Mo’Nique confirmed that she had filed a lawsuit in an Instagram post on Thursday.

“Hey My Loves — I can confirm that today I filed a pay discrimination lawsuit against Netflix,” she wrote in the post. “I had a choice to make: I could accept what I felt was pay discrimination or I could stand up for those who came before me and those who will come after me. I chose to stand up. I don’t have any further comment this time, but I appreciate all of your support and love.”

Lizzo Sued For Defamation By Postmates Driver!
Lizzo is facing legal action from a Postmates driver. In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Tiffany Wells says that the “Truth Hurts” hitmaker turned her life upside down when she blasted her on Twitter and claimed she stole her food while delivering an order to Lizzo’s Boston hotel in September.
“Hey @Postmates this girl Tiffany W. stole my food she lucky I don’t fight no more,” Lizzo tweeted to her near-million followers on Sept. 15 along with a photo of Wells.
Wells reportedly tried to contact Lizzo and even went to the hotel concierge to no avail. After waiting 10 minutes, she finally left.

Lizzo deleted the original tweet and later apologized to Wells. “I apologize for putting that girl on blast,” she wrote. “I understand I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could’ve put her in danger. Imma really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door.”
Wells is now suing Lizzo for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She says she was afraid to leave her home and go to work after the incident. As a result, she no longer works for Postmates and claims she was subject to ridicule, humiliation, and stress.

Wells says Postmates sided with her, and she moved on to the next delivery like she was supposed to after she couldn’t reach Lizzo.

Billboard Releases List Of 125 Artists Of All Time; The Beatles, Elton John, And Mariah Carey Make Top Five!
In celebration of #Billboard’s 125th anniversary, the charts team has constructed a list of the top 125 artists of all time. Its No. 1 pick is #TheBeatles.
The list was released on Thursday and includes several artists of different genres like pop, rock, and r&b. The top 10 artists from one to 10 include The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, EltonJohn, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Barbara Streisand, Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder, and Chicago. Whitney Houston is the 11th artist; #CelineDion is No.33 while Aretha Franklin is No.34. Adele is in front of Beyonce as No. 26.

During an interview with Billboard, Carey commented on what it feels like to be the top-charting female solo artist in history. “Oh, my God. To see the success on all the different charts, to hear you say that is mind-blowing. I never, ever dreamt of this when I first started. I just wanted to hear my songs on the radio,” Carey said. The writer and producer who has 18 No.1 hits on the chart said that her idea of success is just a little different than it once was.
“It means the same thing that it has always meant: You have to be able to sit back and say, ‘Wow, I had some success here, and let me not bask in it but at least be aware of it.’ In the beginning of my career, it was so much about pushing forward and pushing through obstacles and adversity that I didn’t get to take in the moment that much.”

She continued, “This past year, with the whole “Obsessed” challenge when it reentered the charts — do you know what I’m referring to? I have 8-year-old twins, and they’re not allowed to watch TikTok yet, but they’re sitting there watching all these 13-, 14-year-old kids doing this little “Obsessed” [dance] challenge, which took on a life of its own. It became a thing. It had a huge.”

Cardi B May Be Willing To End Her Beef With Nicki Minaj!
Cardi B may have had a drama-filled year, but she's "ready to forgive." The "Press" rapper took to Instagram earlier this week to let the world know that before 2019 ends, she wants to squash all of her beefs.
"I don't want to end this year on bad terms with anyone," read the meme. "APOLOGIZE TO ME." Cardi additionally captioned the post, "I’m ready to forgive ya 😩😂."

While she didn't call anyone out by name, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that her funny, but somewhat serious Instagram peace offering, includes squashing her beef with her longtime nemesis, Nicki Minaj. As fans know, Nicki appeared to reignite their feud by throwing some not-so-subtle shade at Cardi during an interview with Joe Budden in August. And since Cardi is Cardi, she appeared to fire back with some not-so-subtle shade of her own.

In addition to putting the drama behind her in 2019, Cardi is moving forward with her sophomore album. In a recent interview with Billboard, the Rhythm + Flow judge said, "it's practically all I'm focusing on."
The Bronx rapper also shared how this time around, she's found herself struggling at times with deciding to make the music she likes versus making the music she thinks her audience wants to hear. "There's certain music that I want to do, but I feel like, is people interested in that? I feel like things have changed," Cardi admitted. "It's more like a twerk sound going on right now. It's just like, 'Should I just do my music around that?' But I cannot just go with what's hot. I still gotta go with what I want to do."
The 27-year-old rapper then recalled how she found a way to deliver both the music her fans wanted to hear while also remaining true to herself when working on her highly successful debut album, Invasion of Privacy. "I was going with what I want people to hear, and what I like, so that's what I'm doing now," she said. "I'm just having fun in the studio, because if you think, 'My first album was like this, I gotta have the same recipe,' it's just not gonna work."

#POLITICS: Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards Beats Trump Pick In Louisiana!
Louisiana’s Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards has won reelection against Republican contender and Donald Trump pick Eddie Rispone.
The Associated Press declared Edwards the winner just hours after the polls closed, and Rispone conceded. “How sweet it is!” a delighted Bel Edwards declared to celebrating supporters, according to The Associated Press. “Tonight the people of Louisiana have chosen to chart their own path.”

As for Trump, who campaigned vigorously against him, the governor quipped: “God bless his heart.” It’s a phrase Southerners often use to politely knock someone.
The narrow victory was widely regarded as a referendum on Trump in a deeply red state. It was the second gubernatorial race this month that the president failed to turn for the Republicans. Bel Edwards won 51.3% of the vote to Rispone’s 48.7%, a difference of just over 40,000 votes.
As he conceded, Rispone urged his supporters to give a round of applause for Trump, saying: “That man loves America and he loves Louisiana.”

Trump campaigned hard for Rispone, a Baton Rouge businessman. The president urged Louisiana residents in a tweet Saturday to get out and vote for the Republican because he will “get your taxes and auto insurance ... way down.” At one of his three recent campaign rallies in the state, Trump called Bel Edwards a “liberal Democrat who has sold you out.” Bel Edwards, who is actually a conservative Democrat, is the only Democratic governor in the Deep South.
Trump has tried to claim credit for Louisiana’s strengthening economy. Ironically, Bel Edwards pointed to the same economy and his role in it during his campaign. He also campaigned on closing a $2 billion budget deficit he inherited from Republican predecessor Bobby Jindal.

Rispone had no political record to run on, and relied on his support for and from Trump to win. Trump won the state by 20 percentage points in 2016. Rispone’s first two election ads featured the president, and included no footage of the candidate, according to The New York Times. When Rispone opened a rally earlier this week, he began by saying he had just spoken to Trump on the phone, eliciting a chant of “Trump! Trump! Trump!”

Bel Edwards was only 2 percentage points ahead in recent polling for the state race. But 52% of respondents in a Morning Consult poll said they approved of the job he is doing.
Early voting Saturday broke a non-presidential election record for the state, and the share of the ballots cast by Black voters climbed since the primary — which both appeared to be good signs for Bel Edwards, noted CNBC. State officials expected a 51% turnout Saturday, compared with just 40% for the last gubernatorial election in 2015, according to the Times.

The GOP flooded the state with millions of dollars in ad money, as well as visits from Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Vice President Mike Pence. Republicans managed to force a runoff after Bel Edwards failed to grab more than 50 percent of the vote in the primary last month. Rispone won 27% of the vote in the primary, but that plus the votes for third-term Republican Congressman Ralph Abraham kept Bel Edwards from winning outright.

Incumbent Kentucky Republican Gov. Matt Bevin went down to defeat earlier this month against his Democratic rival Andy Beshear, even though Trump campaigned for Bevin

#RHOA: Kenya Moore Calls for New Cast Members on RHOA After Declaring She’s ‘Bored’ of Marlo Hampton!
Kenya Moore is ready for new faces in Atlanta. The Bravo star, who returns to the Real Housewives of Atlanta in the upcoming 12th season, threw shade at Marlo Hampton during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.
“I’m just kind of bored with it. Yeah. I think we need something new,” Kenya, 48, told Us at Baby Quest’s “Let’s Make More Baby’s” Fundraiser Gala on Monday, October 21. “I think we need Housewives or friends of the show that brings something new and we’ve seen her for eight or nine seasons. I’m kind of just over it.”

Marlo, who is close with original cast member NeNe Leakes, has had a recurring role on the series since season 4 in 2011.
When asked about Phaedra Parks’ potential return, Kenya added, “I don’t think of her at all.”
Phaedra, for her part, exited the franchise in 2017 after starring on the series from seasons 3-9.

Kenya, meanwhile, is back for season 12 after taking a season off. The former Miss USA was a full-time cast member from seasons 5-10. Fans of RHOA will see Kenya’s relationship woes with her estranged husband, Marc Daly, play out on the reality series. The pair, who tied the knot in 2017, announced their split last month.
“It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband, Marc Daly,” Kenya said in a statement to Us at the time. “Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward.”

According to a source, Marc was unfaithful during their two-year marriage. “She walked away from her career for him and he had no problem with that and no problem disrespecting her,” the source said earlier this month.
The twosome share daughter Brooklyn, nearly 12 months. She told Us on Monday that it’s “difficult” to balance the reality series and motherhood.
“I’m a new mom so it’s difficult, but I do have some help. I just think that you have to take care of yourself first because if you’re no good to yourself, you’re no good to anyone else that you’re taking care of, especially a baby and a family,” she explained. “So balancing has been something that I’ve been trying to perfect, but I think that, you know, sleeping and being on a schedule, sleeping is key. Taking care of yourself in terms of exercising, eating well and then that way you can have time for your baby and your family.”

Kenya also credited her estranged husband: “I’ve had help for nearly a year. I’ve had a husband who was … he is helping me raise our child together and I’m thankful that he was in our lives, you know, consistently for a great period of time since Brooklyn was born.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns to Bravo Sunday, November 3, at 8 p.m. ET.

#Empire: Taraji P. Henson speaks on ‘Empire’ ending!
After Henson’s Empire co-star’s Jussie Smollett scandal earlier this year, FOX announced that the series sixth season would be it’s last. The network promised a jaw-dropping finale season that would be sure to leave longtime fans pleased.

All of the stars were sad that the show was coming to an end but optimistic about its future. No one has had as much notoriety from the show as Henson and she is not only thankful for the platform the show has given her, but she also credits the show for jumpstarting the second phase of her career.

In a September 2019 interview with Entertainment Weekly ahead of the show’s season six premiere, Henson spoke on her love of the show and reflected on what it’s done for her professionally. “Cookie has meant so much to me,” she confessed. “She gave me a second life in this industry and made me a pop star in my 40s. Cookie was a movement. Long after I’m gone, people will be talking about Cookie.”

#HipHopNews: Lil Nas X's “Old Town Road” Becomes Fastest Song To Reach Diamond Status!
Lil Nas X continues to dominate 2019. His mega-hit “Old Town Road (Remix)”, featuring Billy Ray Cyrus was certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on Tuesday night, becoming the fastest song in history to reach that status.
Diamond certification is dished out to albums or singles that sell a minimum of 10,000,000 units. This puts Lil Nas X in a select group of only 14 rappers to achieve the feat, including Hip Hop heavyweights like Tupac, Eminem and Outkast.

The certification makes Lil Nas X the second rapper to go diamond in 2019, after Drake received the honor for “God’s Plan” in September. This solidifies the absolute tear Nas X has been on since the release of the breakout single in December 2018.
Setting a new record for the longest-running No. 1 single on the Hot 100, gracing the cover of Time Magazine and scooping up an MTV VMA award are some of the career milestones the country crossover rapper now has under his belt.

Nas X also released the 7 EP earlier this year, which peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. In an interview with Angie Martinez on Power 105, he confirmed that his debut album is in the works.

Kanye West Donates $1 Million To Prison Reform Charities For Kim Kardashian’s Birthday!
Kanye West is making a big donation in his wife’s name.

In honor of her 39th birthday on Monday, the rapper gifted his wife with designer bags, but that wasn’t all. He also donated a whopping $1 million to charities that focus on prison reform.
“I got amazing gifts from my whole family and Kanye for me the most amazing bags. But he also donated $1 million to my favorite charities that work so hard on prison reform on my behalf from him and the kids,” tweeted Kim. “This makes my heart so happy!”

Her sister Kourtney also applauded Kanye for his generous donation. “Kanye has the most generous heart, it is inspiring,” she said.
She showed off the certificate announcing that a $1 million donation had been made in her name by Kanye and the couple’s four children—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West—to charities including Cut 50, Buried Alive Project, Equal Justice Initiative, and the Anti-Recidivism Coalition.

Kim has been an advocate for criminal justice reform and has successfully lobbied for the release of prisoners including Alice Marie Johnson prisoners and Momolu Stewart.
Thank you so much for all of the birthday love! I had the best most relaxing birthday ever! Spent the weekend w my amazing friends in Palm Springs and then had a family dinner at my house tonight thrown by my mom and Kanye.
It was a big birthday weekend for Mrs. West, who celebrated with friends in Palm Springs and with a dinner hosted by Kanye and her mother Kris Jenner, which was catered by her “favorite Armenian restaurant Carousel.”

On Friday, Kanye will release his long-awaited ninth solo album Jesus Is King along with his IMAX film of the same name. He will premiere both on Wednesday at a special listening and screening at the Forum in Los Angeles.

Nicki Minaj is planning a second wedding!
Nicki Minaj is reportedly planning a "huge second wedding".
The 36-year-old rapper tied the knot with Kenneth 'Zoo' Petty this week in a private ceremony at her home, and she's now said to be discussing the idea of hosting a second, much larger wedding to celebrate with all her family and friends.

According to TMZ, Nicki and Kenneth rushed their wedding - which took place on Monday (21.10.19) - because their marriage license was due to expire at the end of this month, and decided it would be better to complete their nuptials rather than reapply for a new license.
However, the publication also reports the 'Anaconda' hitmaker is keen to have another wedding in the future, complete with a "huge party" for all her guests.
Meanwhile, Nicki was recently said to be "very happy" with her "low-key" celebration.

A source said: "Nicki wanted to keep her wedding low-key. She's become much more private over the last year, but she is very happy."
Nicki confirmed she had married Kenneth, 41, on Instagram this week, when she posted a short video of bride and groom baseball caps, and Mr and Mrs mugs.
Captioning the clip with a bride and groom emoji, Nicki - who was born Onika Tanya Maraj - wrote: "Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty 10-21-19 (sic)"

The happy couple obtained their marriage license in July but have been waiting for a particular pastor to be free to officiate the ceremony - and Nicki revealed last Thursday (17.10.19) that the pair could marry "in the next seven days".
She said: "We've gotten our marriage license, but there's a particular pastor who I want to officiate and so she was just made available as of today.

"She told me she's available within the next week, so we could be married in the next seven days."

Marie Osmond Says She Thought She Was Gay After Being Sexually Abused!
Marie Osmond made a shocking confession during her recent co-hosting appearance on The Talk, admitting that she thought she was gay as a child because she had been sexually abused.

During conversation about Miley Cyrus' recent remarks about being gay and her relationships with men, Osmond, 60, became candid with the roundtable. "When I was about 8 or 9 I actually thought I was gay. And the reason is because I had been sexually abused to the point that men made me sick. I didn’t trust them. I didn’t like them," she declared. "I had so many body issues. I was looking at women, and I thought, 'Why am I looking at women? I must be gay.'
Osmond went on to confess that she learned that she was just someone that tends to think a lot. "Why did God give me these great brothers and why did he give me this amazing father?" she recalled, adding, "And, truly, they changed my opinion of men, which made me feel that it was something I was going through."

Cyrus was recently at the center of some attention when some interpreted her recent Instagram Live session as insensitive. "There are good men out there, guys. Don't give up. You don't have to be gay," she told viewers. "There are good people with dicks out there. You just gotta find them. You gotta find a dick that's not a dick, you know what I mean?...I always thought I had to be gay because I just thought, like, all guys were evil, but it's not true. There are good people out there that just happen to have dicks. I've only ever met one."

Later on, she clarified her remarks, admitting she was simply "talking sh*t about sucky guys." "Let me be clear, YOU don't CHOOSE your sexuality," she wrote in a follow-up message. "You are born as you are. It has always been my priority to protect the LGBTQ community I am a part of."

Popeyes' viral chicken sandwich is reportedly returning to nearly 150 locations in early November!
It's back. Sort of. After selling out just two weeks after it was introduced, Popeyes' highly popular chicken sandwich is coming back to about 150 franchise-owned stores in early November, Bloomberg's Leslie Patton reported Wednesday.
About 150 Popeyes locations operated by Sun Holdings Inc. will offer the sandwich starting in early November, the company's CEO, Guillermo Perales, told Bloomberg. He added that the restaurants were hiring an additional 400 employees to manage the hype and could designate up to two people per store to make the coveted menu item.

"We have been working diligently to bring the sandwich back to our restaurants soon, as we know our guests are anxiously anticipating its return," Popeyes said in a statement via email. "As soon as we're ready to announce a date, we will let the world know!"
Popeyes added that franchisees across the system had increased staffing to prepare for the relaunch of the chicken sandwich.
Popeyes launched its chicken sandwich on August 12, igniting a Twitter feud between Popeyes and Chick-fil-A over which chain had the better sandwich. The tweets went viral, fueling a massive demand for the sandwich that outweighed the supply and forced employees to work hours of grueling shifts, sometimes without breaks.

The menu item sold out after just two weeks. Popeyes announced a "Bring Your Own Bun" program for customers to get a substitute for the sandwich shortly after — though some employees across the US were apparently left out of the loop.
An employee in a franchised California Popeyes told Business Insider that his distribution center was preparing for the hype of the chicken sandwich relaunch as far back as September. He mentioned that his location got a shipment of bread for the sandwich on Tuesday and that he heard the sandwich would be back in early November.

Sun Holdings Inc. did not immediately return a request for comment.

Cardi B Says She Opened Doors For Female Rappers: 'I Gave Women Hope'!
Cardi B believes she's a big reason female rappers are leading the music industry right now.
During a recent interview to promote her new Netflix series, Rhythm + Flow, Cardi explained how her career has influenced other female MCs and how her ambition opened doors for other female rappers in the music industry.

"I feel like, after me, I'll say that it's kinda easier for a lot of these female artists... like before me, there was no female rapper that was signed to a label - well, you know the ones that had already been established," the "YES" rapper explained. "Nobody was signing them. And now, everybody's just signing them if you could rap and you got a couple of followers because nobody want to miss the opportunity. Like, a lot of labels missed the opportunity with me because I went to a couple of motherf**kers and they said no, no, no, no."

It didn't take long for Cardi-haters to call her out for her comments, which led to the "Writing On The Wall" rapper to take to Twitter on Wednesday (October 23) to clarify her previous statement. "I didn’t say I pave the way for female rappers but I deff gave the hood and women hope,” she wrote. “Ni**as wasn’t collabing with females rappers.Labels where signing female rappers and putting them in a shelf and not focusing on them. Not giving them proper attention.”
“It seem like it was impossible for it to be more then one female rapper,” Card continued. “These male rappers where not even takin Money from female rappers for a feature cause it seem far fetch for another woman to make it.I see so many male artists collabing wit females now even ..”
The 27-year-old rapper added, "Some that are not mainstream because I know they don't want to miss out on the opportunity in case they make it cause trust and believe slot of Ni**as I asked for features from when they see me they tell me 'I shoulda believe' Deum I should have did the feature."

To conclude her explanation, Cardi made it clear that she doesn't care if people believe her not, either way she stands by her truth. "And ya can deny it as much as ya want and say I'm crazy or stfu but how many female rappers before me where getting chances or getting pushed? They wasn't believing and now they are !" she wrote. "And for the slow ones again NO ain't made females want to rap cause b*tches been have talent but the music industry wasn't believing and sh*tting on female rappers and that's Big Bentley."

To note, T.I. backed his fellow co-host during their interview, saying Cardi did. in fact. "[kick] the doors down of being personable." He added, "Most women when they came out were extremely mysterious, you hardly heard them talk."

Monica And Shannon Brown Are Officially Divorced!
Monica can officially reclaim her maiden name now that her divorce from Shannon Brown has been finalized.
The singer appeared in a Fayetteville, Georgia courthouse this week for a hearing in which the judge swiftly signed off on the divorce. According to TMZ, the former Mrs. Brown was in and out of the building in less than 10 minutes, and Shannon was not physically present for the proceedings.

Back in August, the “So Gone” singer stopped by ESSENCE’s Webby-nominated “Yes, Girl!” podcast and spoke about maintaining a peaceful co-parenting with her estranged husband. Though she has never gone on record to describe exactly why she filed for divorce back in March, it appears the two have the utmost respect for one another.
“Because I still have such a love and respect, even for Shannon, there are certain things that are just not up for discussion,” she said. “We don’t have to be together to respect one another. We don’t have to be together to uplift one another and make sure that my kids always see that mom is looking forward to you having a relationship [with dad] forever and ever. Anything I can do to really assist in making sure it continues to be everything that it’s always been, that’s what I’m going to do.”

Monica and Shannon Brown originally tied the knot in 2010 and had two weddings – one private ceremony in November 2010 and a more lavish Atlanta ceremony in July 2011. Together they share a daughter, Laiyah Shannon Brown, 6. Brown also has a great bond with Monica’s sons Rocko and Romelo.

We wish both parties the best in this new chapter.

T-Pain Cancels Tour Due To Low Ticket Sales, Says He “Was Advised To Lie About This”!
T-Pain has canceled his upcoming 1UP DLC Tour due to low ticket sales.
The rapper took to his Instagram this past Sunday to post a candid video in which he revealed the real reason why he was pulling the plug on his upcoming tour.

“I was advised to lie about this and say that I needed some time, or I needed some alone time or me time or some shit like that,” he admitted. “We f**ked up. I’mma keep it real with y’all. Most artists lie. Whenever concerts or tours get cancelled, it’s for low ticket sales.”
T-Pain explained to fans that he and his team had hoped to coast on the momentum generated by the first 1UP Tour and that producing the follow up while cutting corners would be a breeze, but it wasn’t in the cards.

“I just thought since the first 1UP tour went well and sold out in every city, this should be good as well,” he explained. “Having said that, I’m gonna take it upon myself to cancel the tour. It would have just been a bad look for me, and it wouldn’t have been entertaining for y’all.” In the post’s caption, T-Pain expressed his heartfelt apologies once again and informed fans, “all tickets will be fully refunded.”

Fans were understanding of the decision and appreciative of the rapper’s honesty.

Former Dallas officer Amber Guyger’s defense files notice to appeal murder conviction!
An attorney for a former Dallas police officer convicted of murder in the shooting of her neighbor has filed a notice of appeal of her conviction and sentence to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
Michael Mowla filed the notice on Oct. 16 on behalf of Amber Guyger, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The notice is the first step that’s required if the defense decides to pursue an appeal in the case, but it doesn’t specify the grounds for an appeal.
To appeal the judgment in a criminal case, Texas rules of appellate procedure require that the defendant file notice of appeal “within 30 days after the day sentence is imposed or suspended in open court, or after the day the trial court enters an appealable order; or within 90 days after the day sentence is imposed or suspended in open court if the defendant timely files a motion for new trial,” according to txcourts.gov.
Guyger was found guilty on Oct. 1 of murder in the death of Botham Jean, her unarmed black neighbor, whom she shot in his apartment.

On Sept. 6, 2018, Guyger, who is white, entered Jean’s apartment, mistaking it for her own, and believed he was an intruder, she testified.
She had just finished working an extended shift of about 14 hours for the Dallas Police Department and was still in uniform when she shot Jean. The department fired her.
