Zachary Quinto graces the cover of the current (June-July) issue of DA MAN magazine.
DA MAN “is Indonesia’s only home-grown men’s English language magazine dedicated to offering the best in fashion and lifestyle for the growing market of high-class, fashion forward men in Indonesia and the region.”
In this issue of DA MAN, Quinto spoke about his role of host in the reboot of In Search Of, formerly hosted by Leonard Nimoy back in the 1970s. “So much has changed in the last forty years since the original series aired,” he said. “We are looking at these topics from a new perspective, with all of the advances in technology and science that have benefited our society in the last few decades.”
Quinto also explained how he approached playing roles like that of Spock. “I think focusing on aspects of these characters that resonate for me personally is the beginning of any process for me as an actor,” he said. “Identifying the ways in which I can love every character I play is an essential aspect of the experience.”
Asked about the next Star Trek movie, Quinto said, “I know that the script for a fourth Star Trek film is currently under way. There should be more information about an upcoming production later this year.”

#RHoA: Kenya Moore Cries as she views her Ultrasound!
Kenya Moore is excited to share her first pregnancy with her fans. After announcing in April that she was expecting a baby with husband Marc Daly, the 49-year-old reality star took to social media to share some sweet updates.
Over the weekend, Moore posted a photo of herself in a white stripped dress, flashing a hint of a baby bump. “Won’t He do it?” she captioned the pic, adding, “#godswill #love #hope #faith #family #God #peace.”
Then on Monday, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared a video from her ultrasound, where she listened to her baby’s heartbeat.
“My heart is overwhelmed by all the kindness and well wishes many of you have sent our family,” Moore captioned the clip. “I felt compelled to share this video of one of our early ultrasounds when I saw my baby’s heart beating for the first time. I cried like a baby myself! I couldn’t believe this miracle was growing inside me.”

In the clip, Moore breaks down in tears upon hearing her baby's heartbeat. “It’s so fast!” she exclaims to the doctor.
The Bravo star announced her pregnancy during the RHOA reunion episode, and after the show, host Andy Cohen spoke with ET’s Nischelle Turner about Moore's pregnancy.
“I’m so happy for her, but I’m worried because it’s so early!” he said of the news. “I think you’re not supposed to announce it until three months, so I know that it’s very early so I’m just wishing her very good health.”
#Empire's' Grace Byers Joins 'The Gifted'
Grace is set to play a new character called Reeva, described as a "smart, charming, authoritative, elegant, beautiful woman who is ruthless in her efforts to fight for her people," according to Fox.
"She leads an elite band of followers and has a soft spot for her new recruits, but is still capable of extreme violence in defense of her vision," read a character description from the network.
Reeva will join up with Polaris, Andy and the Frost Sisters, who split from the mutant underground at the end of Season 1, to together form the Inner Circle.
"The Gifted" is set to return to Fox for its second season this fall.

It’s a Philly reunion on the new DJ Aktive single “It Is What It Is”, which sees him collaborating with Musiq Soulchild and producer Ivan Barias.
Musiq and Aktive previously worked together over the course of their careers, notably on Musiq’s song “Soulstar”.
Previously, he released the single “90’s Love” which saw him collaborate with Marsha Ambrosius.
The world renowned musician recently wrapped up supporting Janet Jackson on her tour, and is ready to move full speed ahead with his own project. The upcoming EP is called “The Tour” and is scheduled to be released later this year and will feature various artists that Aktive and has toured and worked with over the years.

Ye is about to go No. 1 again, Unfortunately! Kanye West’s new album, ye, is headed for a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200, according to early sales forecasts. The 7-track album, which was released on June 1, is expected to sell over 175,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
It will mark Kanye’s eighth chart-topping solo effort, and ninth overall, counting 2011’s joint album with JAY-Z, Watch the Throne. All of his albums have debuted at No. 1, except for his 2004 debut The College Dropout, which peaked at No. 2.
West last topped the chart in 2016 with The Life of Pablo. If he does capture the No. 1 spot, Kanye will tie Eminem for the second-most No. 1s by a hip-hop act, following JAY-Z with a total of 14.
ye‘s success continues. According to a Def Jam press release, the album has received over 100 million streams worldwide in three days. It is No. 1 on iTunes in 63 countries and currently occupies the top 7 songs on Apple Music.

Tinashe moves on from Ben Simmons to Blake Griffin!
Following her breakup with Ben Simmons, the R&B songstress has been linked to Kendall Jenner’s ex, Pistons star Blake Griffin. The couple was recently spotted hanging out in Las Vegas, according to Page Six.
Tinashe and Simmons, who reportedly left her for Jenner, were at Hyde Sunset in Los Angeles on Friday (June 1) for a mutual friend’s birthday, and they stayed away from each other. On Saturday (June 2), Tinashe was at Apex Social Club at Palms Casino Resort with Griffin to celebrate the birthday of APEX Social Club owner Ryan Labbe.

Kelly Sadler, Aide Who Mocked John McCain's Cancer, 'No Longer Employed' by the White House
Three weeks after mocking Sen. John McCain‘s brain cancer diagnosis, special assistant and communications aide Kelly Sadler is out at the White House.
“Kelly Sadler is no longer employed within the Executive Office of the President,” White House spokesman Raj Shah confirms in a statement released on Tuesday.
It is unclear if Sadler resigned or was terminated or will be taking on a different role within the administration.
During a closed-door meeting in May, Sadler disregarded McCain’s opposition of President Donald Trump‘s nominee for CIA director, Gina Haspel, saying, “It doesn’t matter, he’s dying anyway.” (Haspel was confirmed to head the CIA a week later.)
McCain, 81, was diagnosed with brain cancer in July 2017 after undergoing a surgery to remove a blood clot above his eye last summer. He was hospitalized in December to treat side effects related to his cancer therapy.
Then in April, McCain underwent surgery and was hospitalized at Arizona’s Mayo Clinic for an intestinal infection.
The White House had been strategizing an exit for Sadler for the last two weeks, according to CNN, which was the first to report news of Sadler’s departure.
Instead of condemning Sadler’s comments during those two weeks, the White House released a statement saying, “We respect Senator McCain’s Service to our nation and he and his family are in our prayers during this difficult time.”
The six-term Arizona Republican senator’s daughter Meghan McCain said she had yet to receive an apology from Sadler.
“I was promised an apology by Kelly Sadler, publicly, to my family,” Meghan, 33, said on The View on May 31. “I did not receive that.”
Meanwhile, McCain’s wife, Cindy, 63, tweeted at Sadler, “@kellysadler45 May I remind you my husband has a family, 7 children and 5 grandchildren.”

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Doe filed a motion asking the judge to order the singer to turn over the documents/information. Doe is after Usher’s confidential medical history and possible settlements in the past.
Doe says Usher has not only refused to turn over documents but tried to invoke attorney-client privilege and physician-patient privilege in his effort to not hand over the records.
The singer has accused Doe of trying to harass him with the demands and has refused to answer his numerous questions.
Mariah Carey, Mistaken as White Growing Up, Admits She Wished She Were Darker
Mariah Carey earlier this year, opened up about her bout with bipolar disorder. And in a recent sit-down, she opened up about the roots of the condition and revealed a stunning secret.
According to the singer, who is prepping for a Christmas tour in Great Britain, an identity crisis during childhood played a part in the development of the disorder.
“It was a combination of being biracial and experiencing the darker side of life,” she told The Guardian Friday, June 1. “My mom experienced a lot of racism as an opera singer because she was married to a Black man. Again, it’s impossible to encapsulate that in this setting.”
The singer once told a story of how she had a friend visit her home as a child and upon seeing her father, the pal shrieked.
“She burst into tears because she had never seen a Black person. I just remember how that impacted on me,” said Carey, who was mistaken for being white as a kid.
When asked if she wished she had darker skin, the star responds candidly.
“Of course! But what can I do? I can’t go in the sun,” she said. “I had to go through so much in my childhood just to feel accepted and feel worthy of existing on Earth because I felt so different from everybody else growing up, because I was biracial, because I was so ambiguous-looking and because we didn’t have the money to escape whatever the everyday realities of life were.”
“I have very low self-esteem,” she admits before adding there was a time when she unambiguously liked herself. “I like myself when I record a song and listen back to a bit and feel good about everything about it. There’s a sense of accomplishment in the work.”
Andra Day Eyed to Play Billie Holiday in Upcoming Biopic!
Andra Day may be starring as the late singer Billie Holiday in an upcoming biopic to be directed by Lee Daniels!
Nothing has yet been finalized yet, but Andra is the top choice to play the role with Get Out‘s Lakeith Stanfield in talks for the male lead.
A studio is not yet attached to the film, but production will hopefully begin by the end of the year. Daniels will work on the project while on a hiatus from Fox’s Empire, according to Variety.

New Birth’s Bishop Stephen A. Davis has resigned and is Leaving the DeKalb Megachurch
Last year it was reported, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia, shot down online rumors Monday that Bishop Stephen A. Davis, the church’s senior pastor and successor to the late Bishop Eddie Long, had resigned after just a year on the job.
“Bishop Stephen Allen Davis has not resigned and is currently the bishop and senior pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in both Birmingham, Alabama and Stonecrest, Georgia. He along with his family are committed to continuing the legacy of Bishop Eddie L. Long in further advancing the Kingdom,” Davis’ executive administrator, Michelle Porter, said in a statement to The Christian Post Monday.”
Today, AJC announces Bishop Stephen A. Davis, who stepped in as interim senior pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in DeKalb County after the death of Bishop Eddie Long, has resigned.
The news was confirmed by board chairman Thomas W. Dortch Jr. , who said that the “strain on Bishop Davis from having to come back and forth from Birmingham to Atlanta weekly while maintaining his other churches – one in Birmingham and one in Tuscaloosa – became a major challenge for him.”
New Birth in Stonecrest later issued a statement which appears to be Davis’ public first comments since resigning. The statement said Davis considered leaving to be “bittersweet.”
“I love my New Birth Family both in Birmingham and Stonecrest,” Davis said in the statement . “ However, at this time my wife, my children and the New Birth Birmingham family need my full attention. We will remain a New Birth Church in Birmingham and maintain a relationship with the New Birth Stonecrest Congregation.”
Elder Vanessa Long, the widow of Bishop Eddie Long, said she is “grateful that Bishop Davis honored the wishes of my late husband by serving New Birth at a time of need. We pray God’s Blessings over him, his wife, First Lady Darlene, and the Birmingham church family.”
Michael B. Jordan Will Only Accept Roles Originally Written For White Males – Here’s Why!
Michael B. Jordan is very serious about his acting career as well as the impact he can have on society depending on his roles, which is why he won’t just take on anything in Hollywood! During a chat with Insecure star Issa Rae that was part of Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’ segment, the Black Panther star opened up about one decision he made after he was part of Fruitvale Station.
According to Jordan, after the movie was released, he told his agents that he had no intention to audition for any roles created for black men.
‘I said, I don’t want it. I want to only go for, like, white males. That’s it. Me playing that role’s going to make it what it is. I do not want any pre-bias on the character,’ Michael told Issa.
Sure enough, the role earned him a lot of critical praise and got him more successful roles in projects like Fantastic Four and Creed.
Issa also talked about the fact that she has noticed a positive change in the way actresses are expected to look like.
She recalled how her agents would send her offers for roles she did not think were possible to land based on her race, but ever since Black Panther, things seem to have changed for the better.
‘If it were a leading woman of a certain type, I just knew the type they would go for, so I am just not going to even bother. People have been receptive. Even just the confidence that a movie like [Black Panther] and other films by filmmakers of color that have come out have just changed what people perceive as a leading lady, as the beautiful person, the daring or the bold action-adventure type. That just feels so dope to me,’ Issa told Michael.
J. Cole’s Childhood Home In North Carolina Vandalized
Rapper J. Cole’s childhood home was vandalized last weekend. A photo surfaced of the incident on social media. By Monday, the message had been painted over. Someone scrawled a message across the front of the split level house in the Forest Hills neighborhood in Fayetteville. The “J.Cole…Do you even care about the ville?”, the spray-painted graffiti said.
According to the police they received no report of vandalism at the house. His team would not confirm when the vandalism occurred.
The home at 2014 Forest Hills Drive in Fayetteville is where the Grammy Award nominated rapper and his brother moved to with their mother after his parents divorced and she remarried. During an interview with New York’s Combat Jack internet radio show, he stated that his childhood home,
Felt like a mansion, where he had his own room and space to dream big.
The rapper used the address as a title for his third album, “2014 Forest Hills Drive” which was released in 2014 and went platinum. The album cover showed J. Cole sitting on the roof of the house. He remains connected to his hometown including creating his nonprofit organization, “The Dreamville Foundation,” which was established in October 2011, according to the the organization’s website. In June 2014, the home was purchased by the foundation for $121,000.
Back in 2015, J. Cole announced that he was planning on using the 1,600 square-foot home as a rent-free home for single-mother families.
My goal is to have that be a haven for a family. So every two years, a new family will come in and live rent-free. The idea is that it’s a single mother with multiple kids. I want her kids to feel how I felt when we got the house.
The popularity of his 2014 album has drawn crowds of people to the famous address. Neighbors stated that people have tried getting on the roof to copy the album cover. A security fence was installed to keep people off the property.
Trump commutes Alice Johnson’s sentence after Kim Kardashian visit
President Donald Trump has commuted the sentence of Alice Johnson, the 63-year-old Tennessee woman who was sentenced to life in prison in 1996 on non-violent drug charges, the White House announced Wednesday.
“BEST NEWS EVER!!!!” tweeted Kim Kardashian West, who met in the Oval Office last week with the president and his senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner to lobby the commander-in-chief to give Johnson a break.
“So grateful to @realDonaldTrump, Jared Kushner & to everyone who has showed compassion & contributed countless hours to this important moment for Ms. Alice Marie Johnson. Her commutation is inspirational & gives hope to so many others who are also deserving of a second chance,” she added later on Twitter.
The White House later issued a statement on the commutation.
“Ms. Johnson has accepted responsibility for her past behavior and has been a model prisoner over the past two decades. Despite receiving a life sentence, Alice worked hard to rehabilitate herself in prison, and act as a mentor to her fellow inmates,” the statement read.
The statement also quoted the warden at the prison where she had been locked up Arcala Washington-Adduci.
“Since [Johnson’s] arrival at this institution, she has exhibited outstanding and exemplary work ethic. She is considered to be a model inmate who is willing to go above and beyond in all work tasks,” the warden said.
“While this Administration will always be very tough on crime, it believes that those who have paid their debt to society and worked hard to better themselves while in prison deserve a second chance,” the statement concluded.
Johnson told the website Mic that she got involved in drug trafficking because she was broke and had suffered through a series of tragedies.
She had lost her job at FedEx because of a gambling addiction, her son was killed in a motorcycle accident and her marriage had ended in divorce.
CNN reported earlier Wednesday that Trump was preparing to pardon as many as 30 convicted felons.

Ramona Singer is closing a major chapter of her life. After living in her New York City apartment for the past 20 years, the Real Housewives of New York City is preparing to say goodbye to her 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom home after putting it on the market for $4.9 million.
On June 4, People magazine shared details of theUpper East Side listing, revealing that the 61-year-old’s home will be sold with the help of realtors Tom Postilio and Mickey Conlon of Douglas Elliman.
“I’m an empty nester,” Ramona told the magazine, adding that her 23-year-old daughter Avery recently moved out. “It’s time for something new.”
Ramona purchased the Big Apple home over two decades ago when she was married to now-ex-husband Mario Singer.
In addition to the many great features of Ramona’s apartment, potential residents will also have access to a number of building amenities, including a 24-hour doorman and concierge, a live-in resident manager, and a landscaped roof deck overlooking the city.
