#MAGFAB: Lupita Nyong'o for Harper's Bazaar UK November 2024
No, beloved actor Lupita Nyong’o has not taken up painting. But today’s Harper’s Bazaar UK [IG] November 2024 cover story reminds us that not all fashion photography sets are created equal. Nyong’o covers Bazaar UK’s ‘The Art Issue: a celebration of colour, craftsmanship, pattern and print.’
Typically, the New York skyline always catches our collective attention. But Lupita playing an artist in her cover story ‘Portrait of the Artist?’ sitting high over New York City streets? Superb! Sublime! Nice set, Jack Flanagan
Photographer Alexi Lubomirski [IG] hits all the high notes in a fashion story styled by Miranda Almond for Chanel’s newest global ambassador. Gorgeous and right on the money in terms of a huge trend emerging.

RHOA: Drew Sidora said she ‘Wasn’t Impressed’ by RHOA Newbies she said ‘Bring Back the OGs’
We’re all trying our best to survive the Real Housewives of Atlanta drought, but Drew Sidora just made it sound like we don’t have much to look forward to when they inevitably return for Season 16.
The upcoming season was supposed to be a triumphant return for the once glorious franchise, with Porsha Williams making a comeback along with a few new faces. Then, everything went downhill went Kenya Moore left the show midseason under questionable circumstances.
Bravo has tried its best to put a bandaid over Season 16, but there’s still no word on when it will premiere. Meanwhile, Drew just shared that she wasn’t “impressed” with the new blood on the cast. Is it already time to reboot the reboot?
For Season 16, Bravo hired three newbies: Brittany Eady, Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley. They also finally gave Shamea Morton Mwangi a peach after years of floating around on the sidelines.
This all sounded exciting on paper, but according to Drew, none of the newbies delivered. She told Us Weekly that we’d have to tune in and judge for ourselves, but for now, her expectations are low.
“We’ve got some new energy, so we’re going to see. We’re all going to see together what they really bring,” Drew explained before giving the final verdict.
“I wasn’t impressed,” Drew declared. “I was just like, ‘At this point, bring back the OGs.'”
When asked about which OGs she’d like to see make a comeback, she specifically called out some of the legends from last season’s cast that got cut, including Shereé Whitfield and Marlo Hampton. Just like the rest of us, Drew is longing for a bygone era of RHOA.
With that said Drew promised that Season 16 wouldn’t be a total flop. She said Cynthia Bailey was a saving grace for her. If anything, she wants to see more of Cynthia in the future and less of these random newbies.
“Cynthia showed up, but I needed more of her,” Drew admitted. “Cynthia actually brought me into the group, so I was glad she was back, but we need more of her.”
Drew continued, “She needs to take her rightful place back as a peach holder.”
There’s no word on when Real Housewives of Atlanta will return for Season 16, but in the meantime, you can relive the good old days on Peacock.

Nicki Minaj Clears Up Rumor She’s Going On Hiatus Following Pink Friday 2 Tour
Nicki Minaj is seemingly denying reports of a hiatus, despite saying herself that she had plans to take a break following the conclusion of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour.
Talking on her Stationhead radio show after the final show on her second tour leg last week, Minaj told fans: “I am doing a hiatus. But I have the Vogue thing, which I’m very proud and honored to do, and a couple things and then I’ll be taking a little moment to reflect.”
But once her fan pages began reporting the break, she swiftly shut the reports down.
“Ain’t going no mthfkn where. Kiss my ass & HIATUS,” she wrote with laughing emojis. “LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. We don’t announce the hiatus Barbz. Crack is whack. We don’t do that. Dem love chat dem no run dem block! Just relax & let what will be…be *dramatic cinematic music begins*”
Elsewhere in a Stationhead stream last week, Nicki Minaj seemingly hit out at her ex-boyfriend Safaree for attending one of her recent shows.
“When you’re at peace and when you’re happy, so many things will start coming to try to steal your joy and to steal your peace,” she said. “Please don’t let it […] All we ask is to leave us alone before — well, y’all karma is about to bad if you’ve been disrespecting Nicki and the Barbz. However, it’s going to get even worse.”
Nicki then appeared to make a more overt reference to Safaree crashing her concert, saying: “Everyone knows how to go to watch anything and be incognito. I’m a fucking superstar. If I wanna go to a concert and be completely incognito, I would know how to do it, okay?
“I ain’t filming myself and all this shit, doing fucking TikToks. What the fuck?” she added, seemingly referencing her ex’s vlog about her show.
The “Anaconda” hitmaker then threatened to take a lengthy break from music if her fans don’t take action in these situations in future: “And if y’all don’t get they asses together, that hiatus is going to be a lot more next level than you ever could have planned or imagined.
“So make sure you unfollow, block, report, do everything you got to do. Anybody been on some clown shit on my muthafucking timeline, I’ll find out — even if I’m not on there.”

Diddy Facing Six New Lawsuits Alleging Sexual Assault, Including Against A Minor
Diddy‘s legal problems have grown, as half a dozen new civil suits were just filed against him, the first batch of 120 against the mogul promised by Texas attorney Tony Buzbee.
Among the lawsuits, all filed on Monday (October 14) in Manhattan federal court, is one from a John Doe who says he was 16 when, he alleges, Diddy sexually assaulted him at one of the star’s famous White Parties in 1998.
The suits claims that Diddy met Doe at the party and “took an interest” in him.
“They walked to a more private area near the portable restrooms brought in for the party. There, John Doe told Combs he was a big fan of Combs and shared his dreams of becoming a star,” the complaint continues.
“Despite the pleasant conversation, which occurred, things took an unexpected turn for the worst. Combs abruptly told John Doe that he needed to drop his pants. John Doe, caught completely off guard, confusingly asked Combs to repeat himself. Combs made himself clear. He instructed John Doe to drop his pants and expose his penis so that Combs could inspect it, explaining it was a rite of passage and the route to becoming a star, and also as a way to prove himself…
“Combs remained calm and stood in front of him and stretched out his hand in a cupped position. Out of fear, anxiety and the imbalanced power dynamic between himself and Combs, John Doe then dropped his pants and exposed his penis as Combs previously instructed.
“Combs moved closer and grabbed John Doe’s penis and genitals with his hand. He firmly cupped and held onto John Doe’s genitals for an extended period of time. During this time, Combs moved his hand in such a fashion to manipulate John Doe’s genitals, squeezing and feeling them. Doe was only sixteen.”
The six allegations filed on Monday span decades and locations, from a circa 1995 promo party for the Notorious B.I.G.’s “One More Chance” video to a 2021 party in New York City. In addition to the alleged White Party assault in 1998, there is a different White Party allegation, from 2006.
All of the plaintiffs are anonymous. Four of them are men and two are women.
Diddy’s attorneys responded to the suits with a statement to HipHopDX: “The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today’s barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity. Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman.”
As mentioned, all of the suits were filed by Texas attorney Tony Buzbee. At the beginning of the month, Buzbee gave a press conference —to which Diddy’s attorneys referred in their above statement — to announce that he was filing 120 separate civil suits against the embattled mogul, along with multiple other people and entities, for a variety of alleged offenses.
Diddy, through his attorney Erica Wolff, told HipHopDX at the time that he “denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.”

Jamie Foxx Is Filled With “Pure Joy” After Taping New “Second Chance” Special
Jamie Foxx is beyond thankful for his “second chance” at life. The Oscar winner recently finished filming his new one-man special in Atlanta and penned an emotional reflection.
“God is good…. As I post these pictures, my heart and my soul is filled with nothing but pure joy,” Foxx wrote.
He recalled filming the show over three nights earlier this month and explained there was no better place to host it than in ATL. “On October 3 fourth and fifth I had an opportunity to tell my side of the story and there was no better place than Atlanta Georgia. I have to thank you Atlanta you showed up and you showed out,” said the Unpredictable crooner.
Foxx, admittedly, hasn’t been on stage in 18 years, but noted, “I needed the stage and I needed an audience that was made up of nothing but pure love and that’s what you were.”
He noted that this wasn’t necessarily a “stand up comedy show,” but instead described it as “an artistic explanation.” The father of two confessed that it was Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta that helped him through that health scare from last year and overall “enabled me to come back and be on stage and do what I love to do the most…”
The Ray star concluded the post with “#nobaddays [and] as my guy James would say #secondchance thank you ATLANTA.”
What Had Happened Was is set to stream on Netflix at a later date.

Jason Lee called out Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles in his social media rant. The TV personality had a fiery response after people started to bombard him with calls amid claims regarding the power couple and their connection to Sean "P. Diddy" Combs.
"Jay-Z, I know you're watching because you got people calling me," Jason said of the hip-hop mogul. "Stop having people call me. You can call me yourself, you know how to get my number. You got people calling me. Call me yourself because this right here is gonna go viral."
He then said that if something happens to him, Jay-Z would be responsible for it. "I will tell you, to the audience, if I do come up missing, all the calls I've been getting have been about him," he noted, though he clarified that he hasn't actually received any threatening calls.
Jason apparently wasn't the only celebrity who faced repercussions for dragging in Jay-Z and Beyonce to the legal drama involving Diddy. Piers Morgan recently revealed that the legendary artists' lawyer, Alex Spiro, contacted him after he leveled serious accusations at the Carters in an interview with Jaguar Wright.
"Jaguar, unexpectedly, made several serious allegations about Jay-Z and Beyonce during that interview. As I said in the moment, they were not present to respond or defend themselves, but now they have," the British host said in the October 8 episode of his show, "Uncensored". "Their lawyers contacted us to say that those claims were 'totally false' and have no basis in fact, and we've therefore complied with a legal request to cut them from the original interview."
He continued, "Editing interviews is not something we do lightly at a show called Uncensored but like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theater, there are legal limits on us, too. And we apologize to Jay-Z and Beyonce."
Alex, meanwhile, confirmed to TMZ that he did contact Piers over the baseless claims made by Jaguar. Speaking on "TMZ Live" on Wednesday, October 9, the lawyer said, "There's rumors and then there's nonsense and this is one step further," he said. "This is a pointed and formal accusation of something. I felt it needed to be responded to."
He then clarified that he gave Piers an ultimatum, saying, "I think somebody reported it was a cease-and-desist. It wasn't that. It was quite bluntly an ultimatum, which is to remove that false accusation that's demonstrably false or a court's gonna order you to. So, I think he made the wise choice and acted accordingly."
In the interview, Jaguar asserted that "Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, Robert Kelly, Sean Combs have one person in common professionally and privately." The "I Can't Wait" singer then named Jay-Z as that person.

In an exciting announcement for animation lovers, DreamWorks Animation has confirmed that a sequel to "The Wild Robot" is in development after the film surpassed $100 million in global box office earnings last weekend. The news was confirmed by the film's director, Chris Sanders, during a session at Deadline Contenders in London.
"The Wild Robot", based on Peter Brown's award-winning bestseller, follows the story of ROZZUM unit 7134, also known as "Roz," a robot who is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island. Voiced by Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o, Roz must adapt to her harsh surroundings, build relationships with the island's animals, and become the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.
Sanders, no stranger to animated success with credits including "How to Train Your Dragon" and "Lilo & Stitch", directed and wrote the screenplay for the film. He revealed that the core inspiration behind centering the theme of kindness came from a discussion with author Peter Brown.
"The thing that was on Brown's mind, the guiding principle, was the idea that kindness could be a survival skill," Sanders said. "I immediately jotted that down and thought, 'Okay, we need to get that up on screen, for sure.' "
Lupita Nyong'o, whose vocal performance captures the essence of Roz, shared her unique inspiration for the role. "I was inspired by AI voices like Alexa and Siri," Nyong'o explained. "Alexa, Siri, and, you know, those voices on TikTok and Instagram that are so positive and nothing's ever wrong. That sort of can-do attitude. That was the starting point for Roz and her journey to self-actualization and evolution of self-expression."
The film's composer, Kris Bowers, also reflected on his enriching experience working alongside Sanders. "It was amazing to get really detailed with orchestration and all those things so that the music continued to evolve in every moment," Bowers said. He described the collaboration as akin to watching esteemed composer John Williams work directly with Steven Spielberg, which has always been a dream scenario for him.
With a stellar voice cast including Pedro Pascal, Catherine O'Hara, Stephanie Hsu, and Bill Nighy, and strong storytelling, it's no wonder that "The Wild Robot" has captured hearts and box office dollars. The confirmation of a sequel promises more adventures and heartwarming lessons for Roz and her newfound family. Universal/DreamWorks Animation launched the film earlier this month, and fans eagerly await more details on the continuing saga.

Bryshere continues to shock his fans after linking up with Sidney Starr...
WOW!
Dr. Dre's Former Psychiatrist Granted Temporary Restraining Order Against Him
Dr Dre's former psychiatrist, Dr. Charles Sophy, does not want anything to do with the rapper anymore and is backing up his words with actions!
The medical practitioner has just been granted a temporary restraining order for protection over alleged threats from the rapper.
Dr. Charles Sophy was the therapist and counselor for Dr. Dre during his marriage and divorce from his ex-wife, Nicole Young.
The counselor approached the court to force the rapper to stay 100 yards away from him and his 22-year-old son. The doctor claimed it became necessary for him to seek legal protection after the rapper threatened him in text messages over the past 18 months.
Sophy noted in his filing that he wants the producer to stop contacting him via any communication outlet, including phone, text, or email. He claimed the music mogul is well aware of where he lives and has been a visitor at his home in the past.
According to TMZ, Sophy also stressed that he cannot guarantee his dogs' safety from Dr. Dre's wrath and thus must stay away from them too. With his fear well spelled out, the judge granted the temporary restraining order.
The Rapper Accused Sophy Of Turning His Son Against Him
The bitter relationship between the dapper and his former psychiatrist began when he served as the mediator between Dr. Dre and Nicole during their divorce.
The rapper, in a legal letter filed by his attorney Howard King, accused Sophy of breaching his duty of trust and unleashing malpractice.
Dr. Dre claimed the therapist took his wife's side in the case and attempted to get her an unfair advantage in the case. He also accused Sophy of "slandering" him maliciously as part of an effort to turn his son against him.
The producer explained that Sophy's actions eventually affected his relationship with his son, as things have now gotten sour.
Sophy Dragged The Producer To Court For $10 Million In A Harassment Suit
The psychiatrist previously filed a lawsuit against the rapper, citing threats to his safety over services offered to the rapper in the past. He noted that he worked as the mediator between him and his wife, but things took a drastic turn after the rapper accused him of being unprofessional.
Sophy added that the harassment with calls, insults, and threats began 14 months after his divorce was settled. The counsel claimed Dre falsely accused him of getting a third party to spread untrue stories about the producer during the divorce hearing.
He also accused the rapper of sending associates and unknown men to trail his movements. He noted that the men disguised as law enforcement officers to know his location in his gated community.
The therapist stated that he became so paranoid about Dr. Dre's schemes that he had to bolster security on his property and around him.
The Psychiatrist Claimed Dr. Dre Verbally Abused Him Over Texts
Sophy declared that the producer's plan was for the disguised FBI agents to gain access to his home and threaten his physical safety. The medical practitioner provided messages containing threats of physical violence from his former client to support the allegations.
He also accused the rapper of calling him degrading names like "b—-h" and "a piece of s—-t" starting from February 2023 up until recently. The experience has reportedly left Sophie in a state of emotional distress and concern for his safety.
Sophy noted that the sighting of the fake FBI agents trailing him forced him to purchase a bulletproof vest and cap in order to leave his house.
In his response to his former therapist's lawsuit, the rapper claimed Sophy's suit was a weak attempt to stop him from pursuing his complaints about his conduct with him and his son.
"Dr. Sophy filed his suit only after he failed to pressure Mr. Young into dropping efforts to get Dr. Sophy punished for dereliction of duties and incredible incompetence," the rapper noted.
He continued that his claims of Sophy's unprofessional attitudes were detailed in a complaint he filed with the Osteopathic Medical Board of California.
The actor also sought for "revocation of Dr. Sophy's license to provide mental health counseling to needy patients," claiming that she was fired from her position after forcing his son against him for financial gains.
Now that Dr. Charles Sophy's wish has been granted by the court, what is Dr. Dre's next step in this epic exchange?

T.I. de-escalates situation after Young Dro gets in argument with comedian on “The Breakfast Club”
On Monday (Oct. 14), “The Breakfast Club” shared a new interview with T.I. and Young Dro. During the conversation, the artists were candid about a variety of topics, including the highly publicized OMG Girlz lawsuit, upcoming projects, and much more.
As he'd done in recent years, Dro was open about past issues with addiction and how sobriety changed his life for the better. “I got tired of the same things,” the Atlanta emcee admitted regarding his decision to check into rehab. During his testimony, a member of their entourage, later identified as comedian KDubb, cracked jokes and laughed throughout. While Dro was initially humored, things became heated while speaking about his daughter's own battle with drugs.
“Aye, you finna get slapped,” the “Shoulder Lean” talent told KDubb after one too many interruptions. “I mean, we cool, but I’ll slap the s**t out you [for] laughing at that.” The situation escalated after KDubb took offense to Dro's warning before T.I. moved in to calm the situation. “Aye, look! Everybody that came in this motherf**ker wit' me, remember who you came in with! Remember what we’re doing here, man. Come on, man. Let's get this s**t together, bruh. Aight?” he stated to his group while the cameras continued rolling.
Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed, and Dro expressed regret for the outburst later in the interview. “I wanna apologize to my friend. I got beside myself,” he said. “I shouldn’t have taken feelings to that. You know what I'm saying? That’s my dude right there. I ain’t finna be slapping no-godd**n-body.”
T.I. added, “We're all here together, we came here together, we're gonna leave here together, we're gonna grow together... We're gonna have good times, we're gonna have bad times. The one thing we ain't gonna have are broke times. I'll tell you that!” Responding to a comment on social media, KDubb explained that he wasn’t laughing at Dro’s daughter. “I was still laughing at something that was said earlier,” he wrote.

Omarosa Manigault Newman, Former Trump Staffer, Endorses Kamala Harris for President
Omarosa Manigault Newman is throwing her support behind Vice President Kamala Harris.
The former director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison under Donald Trump, as well as a staffer in the Bill Clinton administration, spoke out in an interview with Variety about her political leanings.
After her time on Trump‘s reality TV show in 2004, she returned for two different installments of The Celebrity Apprentice. She later worked for Trump in the White House, but then came after the former President in her 2018 book Unhinged, and described him as a racist and cognitively impaired. The Trump presidential campaign alleged she had violated an NDA, but she won the arbitration in 2022.
“I was very reflective about that when I was writing Unhinged, about how Donald Trump squandered the greatest opportunity he had in his life to be a consequential leader, to shape the direction of our nation and bend it toward something positive. He opted to go to the dark side. That’s why I have no reservation in — I guess I’m saying this for the first time — completely, 100 percent endorsing Kamala Harris for President,” she said.
She also spoke to what it would mean if Kamala Harris wins.
“I hope that Kamala Harris will usher in a new generation of young political leaders. When she wins — if she wins — I hope she’ll usher in fresh energy. Young women should have an opportunity to serve at the highest levels of government. I had a chance to do it twice, which I think is more than enough in anybody’s lifetime. I went into the White House in my 20s — that was when I started with [Al] Gore, and I ended up working in Presidential personnel with Bill Clinton, and then to be able to return back with Donald — I think 20-plus years in Washington is sufficient.”
As far as Trump questioning Kamala‘s race, Omarosa said: “I thought it was beyond the pale — particularly since Donald has, in the past, not been honest and straightforward about his lineage. He was ashamed of his German heritage, and so he made up a story in The Art of the Deal that his family was from Sweden.”

T.J. Holmes Suffers Injury Running Chicago Marathon With Amy Robach
T.J. Holmes suffered a setback while running the Chicago Marathon.
The 47-year-old shared that he ended up not finishing the Oct. 13 race, posting photos of himself from inside an ambulance.
“So, this happened,” the Amy & T.J. podcast cohost captioned the photos of himself on a stretcher, “Full story to come."
Throughout the race, Holmes had been updating fans on his Instagram Story, with his final mid-race snapshot revealing he made it to the 15-mile mark of the 26.2-mile marathon before. But his girlfriend was by his side when he had to call it a day.
In fact, Robach, 51, revealed the reason behind Holmes’ early finish to the race and that he was several miles further along when injury struck. Alongside a photo from inside the ambulance with Holmes, she wrote, “Mile 21 and the Achilles gave out.”
Holmes previously opened up about some health struggles he’d been going through while preparing for the marathon.
“One of the two of us might not be running it,” he said of the Chicago Marathon on the Sept. 30 episode of his and girlfriend Amy Robach’s podcast. “And that one was almost in tears this morning after going on what was supposed to be an eight-mile run and I only made it 1.6 miles.”
Robach further noted at the time that Holmes had been struggling with pain in his Achilles tendon.
“I have to say, you have been so on top of it,” she shared of Holmes. “Every day you’re icing, you’re heating. You’ve gone to a foot specialist who’s done some laser heat therapy. You’ve done everything you can. You’re on a steady dose of Aleve and Advil and it hasn’t gotten better.”
In September, Holmes shared he’d been suffering from the pain for two months, which was described as “inflammation on the back of my heel.”
Robach shared that Holmes was grappling with the decision of whether or not to compete in the race, noting, “You don’t want to rupture your Achilles, obviously, and that’s the fear.”

NYC Mayor Eric Adams Faces Backlash for Wearing Both Mets and Yankees Logos on Baseball Cap
In a seemingly desperate attempt to please baseball fans all over the city, New York City Mayor Eric Adams found himself in hot water over a hat.
The 64-year-old politician was seen wearing a baseball cap displaying both Mets and Yankees logos on Monday while marching with the NYPD for the 80th annual NYC Columbus Day Parade.
Any true New Yorker who bleeds Mets orange and blue or has an affinity for the Yankee pinstripe pattern knows the rivalry between the city’s two baseball teams is nothing to play with. So, once fans caught a glimpse of the awkward headwear being worn by Adams—whose approval ratings are reportedly dwindling amid his indictment in an ongoing federal corruption investigation—he became fair game for a good, old-fashioned social media roasting.
