#MAGFAB: Maya Rudolph Covers TOWN & COUNTRY’s May 2024 Issue!
LOOT star Maya Rudolph covers the latest issue of TOWN & COUNTRY
From SNL to the silver screen to awards show stages, Maya Rudolph always brings the magic. Her latest trick? Turning an out-of-touch billionaire into TV’s most endearing character on Apple TV+’s LOOT.

On why she loves playing Loot’s Molly Wells: “Something I realized about myself fairly recently is I love magic. And that kind of infinite wealth, it’s like magic. You can do anything, go anywhere. You can buy an island. Anything can happen, which I find so fun.”

On why she doesn’t do “mean” comedy: “I have a really hard time with mean comedy. Those things that are like, ‘Oh, I’m being funny, but I’m making fun of you’? I can’t watch it. I can’t stomach it. And it doesn’t feel good coming out of me.”

On how the impressions she did on SNL felt more like tributes than mockery: “I say it all the time, but I think I’m a drag queen, really. I always wanted to be, like, this fabulous woman.”
On playing Beyonce on SNL: “I think a lot of my impressions come from watching people because I love them and I’m obsessed with them, and I want to be them somehow. So when I started getting to play Beyoncé, I felt like, I know how to do this. Because it’s the same thing I did when I was little. You’re dressing up like a princess. You put on the leotard and some weird scarf, and you’re like, ‘This is my beautiful ball gown.’”

On how she met her longtime partner, director Paul Thomas Anderson, who came to an SNL afterparty specifically to meet her: “He said he saw me in a sketch and said, ‘That’s the girl I’m going to marry.’ But I don’t know. I wasn’t there. Maybe he just told me that to be sweet.”

On moving to Los Angeles full time for her family: “I thought, This is all going great! I’d always wanted to have kids. I’d always wanted to live in New York. I’d always wanted to be on Saturday Night Live.” But Anderson, who is to the San Fernando Valley what Fellini was to Rome, was set on moving back to Los Angeles. For a while Rudolph tried commuting, flying back and forth to SNL, sometimes with her daughter in tow. “This little bald baby, listening to the musical guests warm up. I look back and I can’t believe I did that. It was crazy. I don’t think I slept for two years.”

On how she chooses her projects: “I think half the stuff I did is because a friend said, ‘Will you come and do this?’ and I’m like, ‘Oh, that sounds fun.’ I never really knew what direction I was going to go in. I still don’t want to know. I want it to be informed by what I’d like to do, as opposed to what I’m supposed to do. I think that’s when it’s the most fun and the most alive.”

On her work ethic and taking a step back from the production company Animal that she founded with her longtime friends Natasha Lyonne and Danielle Renfrew Behrens: “[M]ore and more I was starting to feel like there weren’t enough hours in the day. It takes a lot to create a show, and it’s great to be able to create it, but then to actually show up and be on the set every day, it’s, ‘All right, then I don’t have time for this, this, and this…’ I like working, but I don’t like killing myself. I used to not have a choice, and so I did it, because that’s what you did. You exhausted yourself. You ended up in bed, comatose, because you left it all on the dance floor or whatever. But when you’re taking care of children, that’s not really an option.”

On observing the lives of the ultra-rich and her thoughts on the Tesla Cybertruck: “I’ve been noticing the Tesla Cybertrucks a lot lately. It looks like a little boy designed it.”

#RHOA: Kim Zolciak & Kroy Biermann Have Less Than A Week To Keep Their Home!
The clock is ticking for Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann to save their home with a foreclosure date just days away.
According to new legal documents, the estranged couple, who have desperately tried to sell their mansion, may no longer own the property when a buyer finally appears.

The drama over Zolciak and Biermann's home has been ongoing since 2023, with their bank making its intentions clear in early January 2024. Now, Truist Bank's attorneys filed new documents showcasing their willingness to take back ownership of the duo's property.

Truist Bank, per the documents, plans to initiate a non-judicial foreclosure proceeding on or after May 3. This means the estranged couple has less than a week to respond to the notice or risk losing their Milton, Georgia mansion.
While the foreclosure date doesn't necessarily imply that Zolciak and Biermann will be out on the streets on or after May 3, it does kick-start their legal battle with the bank over their debts.

As stated, the famous pair have been trying to sell the mansion before a foreclosure could happen and placed the property on the market last October for $6 million. However, they have repeatedly slashed the price to attract buyers, and it's currently listed at $4.5 million, per TMZ.

Three months before the official foreclosure date was unveiled, The Blast reported that Truist Bank had filed papers to obtain ownership of Zolciak and Biermann's home.
They accused the former couple of failing to pay their mortgage and claimed they needed to foreclose the property to collect the owed money.

The bank noted that Zolciak and Biermann were facing tumultuous divorce proceedings; however, their legal separation was not enough to impede their foreclosure rights. The bank initially brought up the issue in October 2023 but was stopped by the former couple.
At the time, Zolciak and Biermann implored the court to halt the bank's foreclosure, intending to sell off the Georgia mansion to pay their debts. Unfortunately, they couldn't fulfill their end of the bargain, and the bank may take the reins of the sale with their latest legal move.

Following the foreclosure drama, Biermann highlighted the duo's financial issues in court documents and stressed the significance of their home's sale.

An excerpt from the filing noted the mansion was their only equitable asset, and it needed to be sold to provide crucial funds for the family.
"The current living situation is unsustainable and is detrimental to the mental and emotional health of the minor children," Biermann stressed in his documents, adding:
"If the marital residence is sold, it will afford both parties enough income to secure their residences, thus taking the children out of the toxic environment."

Truist Bank is not the only one after the former couple's heads, as they allegedly owed other corporate bodies. One of these debts included Chase Bank, who sued Zolciak for a past-due balance of $4,624.02 and Biermann for $13,000.
Zolciak and Biermann's financial troubles made waves in March when The Blast revealed they had to pay a parent fitness evaluator. The Court questioned the estranged spouses' parenting following multiple police encounters.

Law enforcers repeatedly visited the duo's home to resolve disputes amid their tumultuous separation. However, things took a concerning turn when one of their children had to call the cops to stop a heated fight between their parents.
Considering these events, the Court ordered Zolciak and Biermann to pay $2,500 each for a parent fitness evaluator.

The one-time payment of $5,000 will cover the inspector's array of services, which are primarily focused on the pair's relationship with their children.
The court-appointed evaluator would reportedly have access to everything related to Zolciak and Biermann's minor children — Kroy Jr., Kash, and twins Kaia and Kane.

This included records from the Department of Family and Children Services, hospitals, and the children's schools.
The parent fitness evaluator would also monitor the embattled exes and their relationships with their four minor children, conduct interviews, and conduct potential school observations.

Additionally, the court-appointed rep could consult with professionals who have worked with the family and make copies of their records without Zolciak and Biermann's permission. In summary, no stone would be left unturned in the case.

#HipHopNews: Megan Thee Stallion Hints At Next Big Project With "Get Ready" Warning
Megan Thee Stallion teased a new chapter in her career. The artist declared the month “Megan May” on social media alongside symbolic images of her shedding her skin. She told the Hotties, “Get ready.”
In the comment sections, fans speculated what the rapper has up her sleeve. “Album time?” asked one person. Another said, “I know that no matter what I do, I will never be ready.” Juicy J also wrote, “Yes, sir!” with fire emojis.

Megan’s posts continued the recurring snake themes seen across her recent singles, “Cobra,” released in November 2023, and “HISS” from January of this year. In a promotional clip for the first-mentioned song, the Houston native explained, “Just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past, over and over again.”

Her “Hot Girl Summer Tour” is less than two weeks away. With GloRilla as a supporting act, concertgoers can catch the pair in major cities like New York City, Memphis, Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, and Dallas, among others. The U.K. and European leg will begin in July, followed by a return to the U.S. for 2024’s Broccoli City Festival in Washington, D.C.

Megan has ambitious goals for her forthcoming project. In April, the artist hinted that the body of work could include an A-side and B-side. She also gave fans an idea of how long the tracklist will be: “To me, it’s giving 14. Twenty? Y’all think 20? ‘Cause I got 20 songs to give, that’s the thing.”

The “Captain Hook” hitmaker’s last album, Traumazine, featured big names like Future, Key Glock, Latto, Pooh Shiesty, and Rico Nasty. Some of the standout cuts included “Sweetest Pie” with Dua Lipa, the Jhené Aiko-assisted “Consistency,” and “Plan B.” The 18-song offering also debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Tyrese Gibson has come forward with serious accusations against his ex-wife.
In a social media post, the 45-year-old detailed claims that include allegations of extortion, death threats, and more from Norma Mitchell Gibson. On Tuesday (April 30), Gibson shared an image of a court order on Instagram. He detailed the reasoning behind the legal action in a lengthy caption.

“I’ve got nothing to lose but my mind and my reputation… And neither one of these are no longer up for grabs,” detailed the Baby Boy star. “I get it, I get it… We are living in the TIMES UP and ME TOO ERA! And as soon as a man goes public about the abuse and trauma inflicted on him by a women we are shamed into silence? I’m past that…Be yourself in my comments! STFU , MAN UP! Mo'Nique Rehashes Feud With 'Raggedy B----' Oprah Winfrey, Roasts 'Simple-Minded' TV Mogul During Comedy Set
Mo'Nique rehashed her public feud with Oprah Winfrey as she roasted the TV mogul during a recent standup set.

The comedian, 56, took the mic while touring with Katt Williams and expressed her "love" for Winfrey, 70, while simultaneously hurling insults at her.
The comedian-turned-actress expressed her "love" for Winfrey while simultaneously hurling insults at her.
“I love that black raggedy b----. I love that black simple-minded motherf-----," Mo'Nique said to the audience, per a video obtained by TMZ. "I love Oprah Winfrey’s black a-- and we just need to bring her back to black.”

She also encouraged the crowd to chant "F--- you Oprah," and announced that she was "too motherf------ old to be scared of this b----."
"I'm too old to be intimidated by this b----," she continued. "I'm too old to hold the motherf------ truth."
The Parkers actress then singled out an audience member who admitted he was a fan of Winfrey's, and Mo'Nique told him, “OK, well I’m not apologizing for a motherf------ thing I say.”
She went on to say that the fan should have intercourse with Winfrey to bring her “back to black.”
Mo’Nique also suggested the media personality's close relationship with Gayle King was more than just a friendship.

Mo'Nique has accused Winfrey and Tyler Perry of career sabotage.
Their 15 years of bad blood began when Mo'Nique claimed that Oprah and Tyler Perry "blackballed" her for declining press events for their 2009 movie, Precious.
In February, Monique appeared on Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay podcast, where the Oscar-winning star went on a scathing rant about Winfrey, Perry, and others in the entertainment industry.

The Oscar-winning actress claimed that Winfrey and Perry 'blackballed' her after she declined to go to press events for their 2009 movie, 'Precious.'

During the conversation, she claimed that Winfrey and Perry sabotaged her career, insisting they contributed to her professional downfall.
She accused Winfrey of "overstepping" boundaries and regularly getting in the way of her personal affairs, claiming the talk show host and producer allowed her estranged family members to trash her on air.

"You betrayed me, sister," she declared, adding, "Family is sacred, and we don't cross the line with family."
The comedian-turned-actress also claimed to have audio evidence of Perry confessing to her career sabotage, but did not play the alleged recording on the show.

Perry has repeatedly denied her accusations.
Mo'Nique also took the opportunity to go after Oprah after Taraji P. Henson alleged "poor set conditions" during filming of the 2023 remake of the The Color Purple.

"Everything was, 'Didn't I champion for y'all?' I was like, 'Stop it. You didn't champion for those Black women, for our sisters. What [she] did was, 'We can treat them like we always treat them, who gon' check me boo? I'm Oprah Winfrey,'" Mo'Nigue told James R. Sanders from The Root in January.

"Oprah got caught. That's what happened."

Katy Perry Disregards Fans During 'American Idol' Taping

Katy Perry seemingly wanted to leave "American Idol" as soon as possible. If a new report is to be believed, the judge "coldly ignored" the audience members behind-the-scenes as she was more interested in her phone.

A source told Radar Online that the "Fireworks" singer stayed "glued to her phone" and "coldly ignored" the audience during commercial breaks. "It was off-putting to see how she was so into her phone and ignored fans who were shouting her name."
"Fans shouted, 'Katy! Katy!' and, 'We love you Katy!' and if anything, she would quickly turn around to glance at them, but then went back to texting," the insider continued saying of the mom of one. It was also said that the fiancee of Orlando Bloom "acted very cold toward the audience and would not sign any autographs or take any photos with them."

Katy's cold behavior towards fans was the exact opposite of Lionel Richie's and Luke Bryan's. The other judges were allegedly "very engaging" and didn't hesitate to take the time to interact with fans coming to the taping.

The report further noted that while focused on her phone during commercial breaks, Lionel and Luke approached the fans. They would take selfies with fans and sign autographs for them.

The source, however, noted that "during one break, [Katy] was going through her box of goodies that was underneath the judge's table and she took some treats and threw them into the audience." The informant added, "It looked like she threw a bag of popcorn, and then a bag of Sour Patch Kids, and then a chocolate bar."

At the end of the filming, Katy allegedly "finally caved in and walked to three different groups in the audience to take selfies."
Katy revealed that she would depart from "American Idol" after season 22 back in February. During her appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", "The One That Got Away" hitmaker said, "This fall, in September, I'm going to be doing this huge music festival in Brazil called Rock in Rio... so I think this will probably be my last season for 'Idol'."

She went on to say, "I mean, I love 'Idol' so much. It's connected me with the heart of America, but I need to feel that pulse of my own beat." When asked about how fellow judges reacted to her departure, Katy simply said, "Well, they'll find out tonight!"

Beyonce Takes Public Transportation For Dinner Date With Jay-Z In Japan
Beyonce Knowles has continued showing glimpses of her activities in Japan. While staying in the Asian country, the "Texas Hold 'Em" hitmaker appeared to have taken public transportation for a dinner date with Jay-Z.

On Wednesday, May 1, the 42-year-old superstar offered social media users a look at her fun outing with her husband in Japan. Taking to Instagram, she uploaded a series of photos from their romantic night out.
In one of the photos, it could be seen that Queen Bey was striking a pose inside a bus. While showing a stern facial expression, she looked straight at the camera as she held her purse in one of her hands. She was holding onto a yellow pole, seemingly to prevent herself from falling down.

Some of the pictures, meanwhile, captured the "Break My Soul" hitmaker posing with Jay-Z, who is also famous as Hov. While the hip-hop artist pouted his lips and showed a "V" sing with his hand, the country star held his arm and played with her hair.
Other snaps, on the other hand, saw Beyonce having a good time at a Japanese restaurant. She was photographed holding a tiny bowl in her hand as she flashed her smile. Next to her was an unidentified woman, who rocked a traditional Japanese dress.

Earlier that day, Beyonce let out a video from the dinner date. In the short footage, Bey and Hov were standing in a room while seemingly being separated from one another by a huge standing board. Each one of the artists was guided by one employee to move their bodies, making it look like they were sweeping the floor

For the night out, Bey looked stunning in a light-colored skin-tight top, a pair of long blue denim pants and a matching outer, which featured fur on its sleeves. As for her husband, he went with a semi-formal ensemble, including a black suit, a pair of matching tailored trousers, matching sunglasses and a beanie.

Missy Elliott Lands Acting Role In Pharrell's Upcoming Film

Last year, Missy Elliott cemented her legacy by becoming the first female rapper inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Now, the multi-talented artist is set to showcase her acting skills in Pharrell Williams' upcoming coming-of-age musical film.
Elliott joins a star-studded cast that includes Halle Bailey, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Brian Tyree Henry and Kelvin Harrison Jr. Set in Pharrell's hometown of Virginia Beach during the summer of 1977, the film draws inspiration from the musician's childhood. Elliott, who grew up nearby in Portsmouth, has a personal connection to the setting.

The film, directed by Michel Gondry of "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" fame, is written by Martin Hynes and Steven Levenson. Elliott's role has yet to be disclosed, but her presence adds excitement to the project.

This marks a significant acting role for Elliott, who is primarily known for her musical accomplishments, including four Grammy Awards. She has previously appeared in cameos in films like "Pootie Tang" and "Shark Tale", as well as a few television episodes.
In addition to her upcoming film debut, Elliott is embarking on her first-ever headlining tour later this year, featuring special guests Ciara, Busta Rhymes and Timbaland. Fans are eagerly anticipating the chance to witness her dynamic performance live.

Rosie O’Donnell joins the cast of ‘And Just Like That’ for Season 3
Rosie O’Donnell is heading back to the Big Apple as the newest cast member to join Max’s “And Just Like That” series.
Announcing the news on her Instagram page on Wednesday, O’Donnell posted a photo of a script for the Season 3 premiere episode, titled “Outlook Good.”

“Here comes mary,” O’Donnell captioned the post, presumably referring to her character’s name. She also posted a photo of herself wearing a dark green jacket, showing off her gray shoulder-length hair.
O’Donnell is best known for hosting her New York City-based talk show “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” between 1996 and 2002, and acting in films including “A League of Their Own” and “Sleepless in Seattle.” She recently appeared in the 2022 Showtime drama “American Gigolo.”

“And Just Like That” stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon also posted photos of their scripts on Wednesday, signifying that the series has kicked off production for Season 3. Mario Cantone, Nicole Ari Parker and Sarita Choudhury are all set to return.

O’Donnell’s casting news comes after reports that Sara Ramírez – who appeared in Seasons 1 and 2 as Che Diaz, a nonbinary podcast host and Miranda’s (Nixon) love interest – would not be returning for Season 3. Karen Pittman, who played Nya, will also reportedly not be returning for the upcoming season.

“And Just Like That” is a continuation of the iconic HBO series “Sex and the City,” which followed the friendship between Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte (Davis) and Samantha (Kim Cattrall).
Cattrall notoriously did not sign on to costar in “And Just Like That” when it first debuted in 2021, but she made a hotly anticipated cameo in the Season 2 finale.

“And Just Like That” returns to Max in 2025. (HBO and Max, like CNN, is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery.)

Lenny Kravitz Explains Why He Works Out in Leather Pants
Lenny Kravitz is addressing his viral TikTok. In early April, the 59-year-old rocker went viral after he shared a video of himself working out while wearing black leather pants, boots, and sunglasses.

In a new interview, Lenny explained why he wears leather pants while working out.
I’m always working out in leather pants or jeans and boots and whatever — if I’m not doing cardio,” Lenny told Variety. “If I’m doing cardio, obviously I’m going to wear sweats because I’m going to be sweating all over the place. But if I’m lifting weights, I don’t sweat so much.”

“So, a lot of times I’m coming from somewhere or I’m going somewhere. And I just don’t care,” Lenny explained. “I’m gonna pop in, I’ve got 45 minutes, we’re gonna hit it and I’m gonna go run to where I’m going. So I don’t do it for effect. I didn’t do that to be like, ‘Oh, let me be just so different and wear leather pants and glasses.’ No, it’s just me walking in off the street.”

Lenny went on to defend his exercises from the video, insisting that he and his trainer take his workouts seriously.
“I know what I’m doing. And my trainer knows what he’s doing. And I know my body and what my body does and what it can do and how it feels and it’s all good,” Lenny said. “I trained with elite athletes, I trained with football players, NFL and NBA stars. I trained with MLB stars, wrestlers, boxers. I’ve played with them all. I won’t mention names, but they’re all people you would know. And they’ll tell you I train very seriously.”

He continued, “It’s funny because I remember once pulling my tour bus up to the gym after getting off a leg of a tour, going to see my trainer Dodd Romero who is the guy in the video who I’ve been working with for 25-plus years, and these big athletes saw me walking in and my trainer said ‘He’s gonna work out with us.’ And they all started laughing. Because I was wearing jeans and a belt and boots and whatever shirt I was wearing, and they were like, ‘We’re gonna work out with this little rock star dude?’ Like they were making fun of me. And I destroyed them. And they didn’t see it coming.”

Dan Schneider Sues ‘Quiet on Set’ Producers and WBD for Defamation, Says Show Falsely implied he was complicit in sexual crimes on the set.

Former Nickelodeon executive and writer Dan Schneider has filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros. Discovery and the producers of “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” accusing them of defamation.

“After seeing ‘Quiet on Set’ and its trailer, and the reactions to them, I sadly have no choice but to take legal action against the people behind it. In their successful attempt to mislead viewers and increase ratings, they went beyond reporting the truth and falsely implied that I was involved in or facilitated horrific crimes for which actual child predators have been prosecuted and convicted,” Schneider said in a statement obtained by TheWrap.

WBD did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment. The series has become Max’s most-watched title ever since its March debut.
The four-part Investigation Discovery documentary series — and its fifth installment “Breaking the Silence” — “investigates the abuses experienced by children from the adults they expected to trust,” per ID’s description of the series. It also features accounts from former child stars who worked on Schneider’s Nickelodeon series during the ’90s and early 2000s.

Schneider’s attorneys Jana Moser and Richard McKie filed the lawsuit, which lists Warner Brothers Discovery Inc., Maxine Productions, Sony Pictures Television and individual producers Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz as defendants.
In the paperwork, Schneider’s team called the program’s portrayal of Schneider a “hit job.”

“While it is indisputable that two bona fide child sexual abusers worked on Nickelodeon shows, it is likewise indisputable that Schneider had no knowledge of their abuse, was not complicit in the abuse, condemned the abuse once it was discovered and, critically, was not a child sexual abuser himself,” Schneider’s legal team wrote. “But for the sake of clickbait, ratings and views — or put differently, money — defendants have destroyed Schneider’s reputation and legacy through the false statements and implications that Schneider is exactly that.”

The lawsuit goes on to outline what they claim are examples of the defendants defaming Schneider in the series, highlighting images, scenes, cautionary messages and more from the show. In one section of the suit, his attorneys said ID’s logo “True Crime Event,” implies that Schneider committed a “true crime,” as he is the main subject of “Quiet on Set.” It also pointed out “Quiet on Set’s” opening graphic, which reads, “This series investigates the abuses experienced by children from the adults they were expected to trust.” From their view, the message is implying that Schneider is a “criminal and child abuser.”

As for the sexually suggestive scenes from his sitcoms, Schneider’s attorneys stated they were taken “out of context.”
“While defendants take certain scenes out of context from hundreds of hours of television in an attempt to support their defamation of Schneider, the television scenes referenced were not intended to be inappropriate in any way. It is telling that these clips remain on television today. Further, at least some of several child actors’ references to feeling ‘unsafe’ relate to some of the jokes or stunts performed on the shows, and not child sexual abuse,” they wrote. “Defendants intentionally and purposefully take these statements out of context and combine them with a reference to falsely state or imply that Schneider sexually abused children, and that is why they felt unsafe.”

As a result of Schneider’s suit, he is demanding a trial by jury “on all causes of action.” In addition, he is seeking a judgement in an amount to be determined at trial.

The former TV executive wants “compensatory damages relating to past and future loss, past and future economic loss, damage to reputation, damages to business, lost revenues, other economic injury and emotional damages.” He’s also seeking to have “Quiet on Set” edited, taken down and a portion or all of the trailer removed.

Read Dan Schneider’s full statement, below:
Schneider began his career at the children’s TV channel in 1993, helping write and develop the kids sketch comedy show “All That.” Over the span of 25 years, he created, wrote and produced a slew of other successful shows, including “Kenan and Kel,” “Sam & Cat,” “Drake & Josh,” “Zoey 101,” “iCarly” and more. Nickelodeon ended their deal with Schneider in 2018 after the allegations surfaced.

Recently the docuseries “Quiet on Set” highlighted mistakes I made and poor judgment I exhibited during my time at Nickelodeon, most of which happened decades ago during my early career as a producer, working on shows for Tollin/Robbins Productions. There is no doubt that I was sometimes a bad leader. I am sincerely apologetic and regretful for that behavior, and I will continue to take accountability for it.

However, after seeing “Quiet on Set” and its trailer, and the reactions to them, I sadly have no choice but to take legal action against the people behind it. In their successful attempt to mislead viewers and increase ratings, they went beyond reporting the truth and falsely implied that I was involved in or facilitated horrific crimes for which actual child predators have been prosecuted and convicted.
I have no objection to anyone highlighting my failures as a boss, but it is wrong to mislead millions of people to the false conclusion that I was in any way involved in heinous acts like those committed by child predators. I owe it to myself, my family and the many wonderful people involved in making these shows to set the record straight.

Nick Cannon, Twins Morocco and Monroe Wear T-Shirts Printed with Their Faces for 13th Birthday: 'Blessed'
The 'Masked Singer' host shares his twins with ex Mariah Carey
On Tuesday, April 30, the Masked Singer host, 43, shared a photo on his Instagram celebrating his twins Morocco and Monroe's 13th birthday. The proud dad donned matching T-shirts with his children, which read "Roc + Roe" and featured their faces instead of the "Os" in their names.

In a second picture, Morocco and Monroe, whom Cannon shares with ex Mariah Carey, 55, throw up peace signs as they pose in front of a backdrop that reads, "Happy 13th birthday Roc & Roe."

"Can’t believe 13 years ago I was blessed with the greatest gift of becoming a father!! God has truly had his hand on the lives of two of the most loving, kind, intelligent and well-balanced humans I have ever witnessed!" Cannon wrote in his caption.
"Thank you for teaching how to love everyday and thank you for letting me be your dad! I’m going to eventually get it right, I promise!! Now let’s get back to partying! I love you Roc and Roe!! Happy Birthday!!!" He continued.

Alongside his twins, Cannon is dad to 10 other children, including sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah Cannon and daughter Powerful Queen whom he shares with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; son Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; and daughter Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole.
He is also father to two children with Alyssa Scott — son Zen, who died at five months old in December 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer, and daughter Halo Marie Cannon, who was born in December 2022.

In January, Cannon spoke with PEOPLE about his commercial for Buffalo Wild Wings, sharing what the most rewarding part of being a dad to so many kids is, "Just hearing your kids say, 'I love you, Daddy.' You know what I mean?" Cannon said.
"The first time they say it, whether they're one year old or 18 months, to hearing it from your kids that are on the brink of being teenagers, there's nothing better than that," he continued.
When asked if he has any plans to expand his family, Cannon laughed, telling PEOPLE, "I'm chilling right now. There's [sic] no plans on the horizon as of yet."

"It's so funny, everybody's always trying to get me to have more kids," he continued. "It's like, 12 ain't enough?"

Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote To Bring Voter Registration To Roots Picnic
Live Nation Urban and When We All Vote have joined forces to bring voter registration to this year’s Roots Picnic, amplifying the cultural and musical experience curated by GRAMMY® Award-winning hip-hop luminaries, The Roots. The partnership also introduces a sweepstakes offering two free VIP tickets to witness the powerhouse lineup of the Roots Picnic.

When We All Vote will register voters on-site during the two-day festival at The Mann in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, on June 1-2, 2024. This collaboration follows their successful partnership in 2020, which saw over 35,000 individuals start or complete the voter registration process.

“Bringing voting to the culture is one of When We All Vote’s superpowers. If you’re showing up at Roots Picnic, we want to ensure you’re showing up at the ballot box,” said Beth Lynk, Executive Director of When We All Vote. “When We All Vote has big goals for 2024 to close the race and age voting gaps and we are proud to call The Roots and Live Nation Urban our partners in this work.”
The initiative targets eligible Black voters between 21 and 35 and aims to engage underrepresented communities in the political process. Michelle Obama, Founder and Co-Chair of When We All Vote, previously co-hosted the virtual Roots Picnic, aligning with the shared goal of educating and inspiring communities to exercise their right to vote.

The Roots Picnic lineup features an array of generational voices, including headliners Lil Wayne, Jill Scott, and André 3000, alongside Nas, Tyla, Smino, and more. This collaboration underscores the importance of nonpartisan efforts like When We All Vote, especially as fewer young people identify with political parties. Through voter registration, mobilization, and cultural engagement, When We All Vote strives to close the race and age voting gap, ensuring every voice is heard in shaping the future of democracy.

Brittney Griner Says She Contemplated Taking Her Own Life After Being Imprisoned In Russia

In the interview, which aired on ABC News on Wednesday night, Griner said “I wanted to take my life more than once in the first weeks,” adding she felt like leaving the place “so badly.”
The WNBA star eventually decided against it, because she feared Russian authorities would not release her body to her family if it happened.

Griner also spoke about the conditions of her prison cell, which had a mattress with “a huge blood stain on it…no soap, no toilet paper,” all of which made her feel “less than human.”
In a separate interview with the New York Times, she also talked about contemplating suicide while in prison and mentioned her poor living conditions in Russia, which made her feel “horrible” and prison guards “snickered” and looked at her through a peephole in her cell.

Griner said she also faced a psychiatric evaluation after her arrest and was worried about getting institutionalized because Russian authorities consider homosexuality a mental illness.
The basketball star said her bunkmate warned her against getting medical exams in prison due to the prevalence of HIV and herpes, and later heard the person who treated her for a severe eye infection later was a veterinarian.

Griner told ABC about being forced to write a letter to Vladimir Putin before her release. “They made me write this letter. It was in Russian. I had to ask for forgiveness and thanks from their so-called great leader. I didn’t want to do it, but at the same time I wanted to come home.”
Griner said when she got on the plane to fly back home she was hoping to see Paul Whelan, the former U.S. Marine who was detained in Russia in December 2018, on board. “When I walked on and I didn’t see him, I thought okay maybe I’m early, maybe he’s next,” she said. “But when they closed the door I was like, are you serious? You’re not going to let this man come home right now?”

If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) or text the Crisis Text Line at 741-741.

Gary Owen Set to Address Divorce on ‘Club Shay Shay,’ Ex-Wife Unpleased
*During a new episode of “Get Some” on YouTube, comedian Gary Owen revealed that his ex-wife, Kenya Duke, asked him not to speak about their divorce during his upcoming appearance on Club Shay Shay.

“You must be crazy,” he allegedly told her in response, ENSTARZ reports. “The biggest podcast on earth you don’t want me to do?”
According to Gary, Duke responded, “It’s not going to help with [his] relationship with the kids.”

Owen has previously revealed that his relationship with his kids, Emilio, 33, Austin, 23, and Kennedy, 21, remains strained following his separation from their mother.
Duke confirmed last year that the kids hadn’t spoken to their father in almost three years due to turmoil from the couple’s divorce.

“As a lot of people know I haven’t seen my kids in almost 3 years, or spoken to them, since the divorce…I understand they’re just, I guess healing…I try to reach out, I try to see them, but it just hasn’t worked out yet,” Owen said during a 2023 episode of his podcast, according to The Jasmine Brand.

Duke reacted to his remarks in an online post, claiming Gary is only telling part of the truth to gain public sympathy.
“All kids want their parents to be happy. When you come to the internet and tell only half the story for sympathy…So what did you do??? How did y’all get here?” she wrote
“If you wanted healing, you would have reached out to a family therapist, call, text, or sent this video directly to them,” Duke added.

“You don’t seem to have any empathy for their feelings. You have done some foul things, but I still greet you with a smile. In conversation, I try to keep us focus and on track, so we don’t resort to blame and finger pointing,” she continued

Duke previously said her ex-husband left her in financial ruin following their divorce.
The ex-couple married in 2003, and Kenya filed to divorce Owen in 2021 amid reports of his infidelity
