#RHOA: Peter Thomas’s Miami Restaurant Sued For Eviction
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey’s ex-husband Peter Thomas’ Miami restaurant Bar One is being sued for eviction, RadarOnline.com has learned.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Bar One Miami Beach, which Peter has run since 2019, was hit with a lawsuit by Bentley Bay Retail LLC.
In the complaint, Bentley Bay Retail said it is the landlord of the property where Bar One is located. Per the filing, the company said it entered into a commercial lease agreement with Thomas in 2018.
The company said Thomas was previously sued for eviction over unpaid payments. However, the parties worked out a deal in 2020 where Bailey’s ex-husband agreed to pay any outstanding debts.
A copy of the settlement shows Bar One agreed to pay $270k to resolve all issues.
Per the settlement, Bentley Bay Retail said Thomas’ company agreed if any checks were returned for insufficient funds, the deal would be void and Bar One would have to leave.
However, in the suit, the company said Thomas submitted various payments that were returned for insufficient funds (July 2022, August 2022, September 2022, October 2022, and March 2023).
Bentley Bay Retail said Thomas owes them a total of $422k in rent, outstanding costs, utility charges, and sales taxes.
The suit said Thomas was notified in October 2022 that he was in default. This new lawsuit was filed the same month. However, the company said the case was delayed after Thomas began negotiation talks.
The company said the negotiations were unsuccessful and now it wants Bar One out of the location immediately.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Thomas was sued personally in another recent lawsuit over another restaurant he planned to open.
In 2022. Peter announced he was opening a new “upscale supper club” called 1 Society and planned to spend $3 million on the project.
A company called DTS DT Retail sued 1 Society over unpaid rent. Thomas argued the company had breached the lease but failing to provide him adequate access to the location. The judge ended up siding with the landlord and ordered 1 Society to hand over the keys.

#HipHopNews: Lil Uzi Vert Releases The New Album 'Pink Tape'
Three years after their previous album, Lil Uzi Vert made a triumphant return on Friday (June 30) with the release of Pink Tape.
The 26-track offering features an impressive roster of guests across several different genres. The project boasted heavyweights like Nicki Minaj, Don Toliver, and Travis Scott to an unexpected crossover with rock band Bring Me The Horizon on the record “Werewolf.”
The album also houses Uzi’s recent hit, “Just Wanna Rock.” The high-energy Jersey Club banger has been taking the charts by storm, breaking into the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last February.
In the lead-up to the full-length release, the Philadelphia native pulled back the curtain by revealing both the project’s artwork and trailer earlier this week. A striking departure from tradition, the cover art sees the rapper standing against a U.S. flag recolored in shades of pink. The artist could be seen in their signature spiked hair while donning a jacket matching the pink hues of the flag.
Produced by Gibson Hazard, the album trailer served as an animated feast for the eyes. On Tuesday (June 27) night, Uzi hosted a prom-themed listening party at New York City’s Irving Plaza, where notable guests included Lil Baby and JT from City Girls.
STREAM HERE
Pink Tape follows 2020’s Eternal Atake, a commercial triumph that dodged the notorious “second album slump.” Not only did it top the Billboard 200, but the LP also marked the musician’s second time securing this coveted position. It sold a commendable 288,000 copies in its opening week, with three tracks spearheaded by “Baby Pluto” simultaneously debuting in the Billboard Hot 100 top 10.
Uzi’s latest release arrives after a period of anticipation heightened by delays. Initially, the rapper promised fans a 2021 debut, but the artist’s pursual of perfection postponed the project to ensure the highest quality.
The wait for Pink Tape is finally over, and according to some fans, it was worth every minute. The album is available to stream now on all major platforms.
A mass shooting at a Baltimore block party left 2 people dead and 28 others wounded
BALTIMORE — Gunfire erupted at a block party in Baltimore on Sunday — killing two people, wounding 28 and leaving an extensive crime scene that marred the U.S. holiday weekend, police said. Three of the wounded were in critical condition.
Baltimore Police Department Acting Commissioner Richard Worley told reporters there were a total of 30 victims during a press conference at the scene.
The shooting took place just after 12:30 a.m. at a block party in the Brooklyn Homes area in the southern part of the city, Worley said.
The shooting comes amid gatherings around the country leading up to the July Fourth holiday. Elsewhere, a shooting in Kansas left seven people with gunshot wounds and two more victims hospitalized after being trampled as people rushed out of a nightclub early Sunday morning, police there said.
All of the Baltimore victims were adults. Nine victims were transported by ambulance and 20 victims walked into area hospitals with injuries from the shooting, Worley said.
An 18-year-old woman was found dead at the scene and a 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after, police said.
"I want those who are responsible to hear me, and hear me very clearly," Mayor Brandon Scott said at the scene. "We will not stop until we find you, and we will find you. Until then, I hope that every single breath you take, that you think about the lives that you took, think about the lives that you impacted here tonight."
No arrests were made immediately after the shooting. Scott asked anyone with information to come forward to assist investigators locate the "cowards" who were responsible for the shooting.
Authorities said the crime scene was extensive and that it will take some time for detectives to work it.
"Treat this as if it were your family," Scott said. "How you would want people to treat it if you were mourning, if this was your neighborhood, if this was an event in your community that this happened at. We want you to treat it that way because that's how we have to treat each other as Baltimoreans."
Hours after the shooting, a number of officers remained on the scene, working behind police tape amid densely packed two-story housing blocks. Folding tables and plastic cups were scattered around the scene, apparently left behind when people ran from the gunshots.
The violence comes as federal prosecutors in Baltimore this week touted their efforts to reduce violent crime in the city. Police have reported nearly 130 homicides and close to 300 shootings so far this year, though that's down from the same time last year. Authorities have vowed to crack down aggressively on repeat violent offenders.
Mark Zuckerberg Offered To Fight Elon Musk At Rome's Ancient Gladiator Site
Mark Zuckerberg has been offered by the Italian government to fight Elon Musk at Rome's Colosseum. After the two tech gurus agreed to face one another in a cage fight, Italy's Minister of Culture reached out to the Meta boss earlier this week to suggest they go head-to-head in the most legendary battle theatre in the world, according to TMZ Sports, and his representatives passed the message on to UFC President Dana White - who is arranging the bout - and his team have contacted the politician.
Both Mark and Tesla boss Elon would love to fight at the Colosseum, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, sources told the outlet. The two men are reportedly "all in" about the possibility of a fight and have been in daily negotiations with Dana for more than a week.
The biggest issue with a potential fight is the difference in height and weight between the two businessmen, with 39-year-old Mark standing at 5'7" and weighing 145lb, and Elon, 52, towering over him at 6'2" and weighing in at 230lbs.
The original plan had been for the bout to be staged in Las Vegas, meaning the Nevada Athletic Commission would have to sign off on it, but rules could be relaxed due to it being an exhibition fight.
Rome's Colosseum hasn't hosted large events inside for hundreds of years, and only a few hundred people would be able to be accommodated in temporary seating. In 2003, Sir Paul McCartney performed inside for 400 people who had paid up to $1,500 a ticket for a charity show, but all other concerts have been held outside.
It is unclear whether Elon and Mark would do battle inside or outside. The stage was set for the fight earlier this month when the Twitter founder declared on the microblogging side that he was "up for a cage fight" with Mark, and his rival shared a screenshot of his tweet and responded, "Send me [the] location."
A Meta spokesperson told the BBC, "The story speaks for itself." Elon then responded by suggesting the Vegas Octagon as the venue for the showdown, where the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) battles are held in Sin City.
He then quipped, "I have this great move that I call "The Walrus", where I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing." Suggesting he'll be easy to beat, he added, "I almost never work out, except for picking up my kids and throwing them in the air."
Mark has been partaking in some mixed martial arts (MMA) and has already won jiu-jitsu competitions.
Why Sarah Jessica Parker Was "Upset" Over Kim Cattrall's AJLT Cameo News Leak
Kim Cattrall's former Sex and the City co-stars, including Sarah Jessica Parker, are not thrilled that news of her upcoming cameo on And Just Like That leaked early.
Cattrall had confirmed June 1 that she would briefly reprise her role of Samantha Jones on the current second season of the sequel series, a day after Variety reported she had filmed a surprise appearance without interacting with the cast or showrunner Michael Patrick King, and has since spoken about her SATC return in the press. The news comes amid years of rumored tensions between the actress and Parker, who plays main character Carrie Bradshaw.
"Couldn't have been more upset," Parker told Andy Cohen on Sirius XM's Radio Andy June 29, regarding the cameo news leak, "It's a big bummer because it would have been so like, fireworks in the middle. Also, because we want to make sure that expectations are real."
Parker did offer some info on Cattrall's cameo, which follows a text conversation between the actress's characters on the And Just Like That season one finale.
"It's a little exchange that is happy and it says everything about their relationship," Parker told Cohen. "It comes at a significant moment in the series."
Meanwhile, co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have also weighed in on the leaked news of Cattrall's cameo.
"We tried so hard to keep it quiet," Nixon, who plays Miranda Hobbs, said on the June 29 episode of Cohen's Bravo talk show Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. "We're really sorry it got out."
And Davis, who reprises her role of Charlotte York Goldenblatt on And Just Like That, said June 22 on the Australian morning talk series Today, "We didn't really want the information out. We wanted it to be a surprise."
And Just Like That season two is currently streaming weekly on Max.
Tammy Slaton Mourning The Death Of Her Estranged Husband
Tammy Slaton's estranged husband has passed away at the age of 40. The 36-year-old reality star - who is famous for appearing on TLC series "1000-Lb Sisters" - married Caleb Willingham at the end of 2022 after just two weeks of dating but in May was said to be "ready to file for divorce" and on Saturday, July 1 took to social media to announce that he had died suddenly.
"Rip sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness," she wrote on Instagram without revealing a cause of death.
Tammy - who has appeared on the diet series alongside her sister Amy Slaton-Halterman, 35, since 2020 and met her former husband in a weight loss rehabilitation clinic - also described Caleb as her "best friend" and now thinks of him as her "guardian angel" since his passing.
She told People, "I am devastated to share the news of my husband's passing. He was my best friend and I loved him dearly. When I met Caleb he became my guardian angel and now he really is watching over me. Our families appreciate everyone's sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time."
The television network also paid tribute to tragic Caleb - who had appeared on the fourth season of his wife's reality show - and sent their condolences to his family as well as Tammy. In a statement, TLC said, "We are deeply saddened to learn of Caleb Willingham's passing. Our condolences go out to Tammy, his family and friends at this difficult time."
The news comes just months after an insider claimed they had decided to call time on their short-lived marriage after having a "big fight" over Caleb's supposed lack of weight loss effort and she had her legal team "lined up" to start divorce proceedings.
The source told The US Sun, "Tammy has her legal team lined up and is ready to file for divorce. They split up because Caleb hasn't been following his diet in rehab. He has gained 30 lbs and hasn't been working his program. They got into a big fight over it and he told her he wanted a divorce, but then he tried to backtrack."
Tyler Perry pledges his support to 93-year-old woman's legal battle to retain her Hilton Head home
Tyler Perry is continuing his legacy of good deeds after lending his voice to advocate for an elderly South Carolina woman. Josephine Wright, 93, is in an ongoing legal battle with Bailey Point Investment LLC developers over her 1.8-acre land and their plans for a 147-home community.
The Hilton Head native has called the land home for 30 years, but the property has been in her family dating back to the end of the Civil War. Bailey Point is developing 27 acres right behind Wright’s. In a WSAV news report, she explained that developers claim her porch encroaches upon their land. As a result, they filed a lawsuit. She previously paid around $1,900 to move a shed but feels the suit is proof of ongoing harassment she has faced since turning down an offer to sell her property to the developers.
The entertainment mogul caught wind of her fight to retain ownership of her home. “‘I’ve pretty much been a fighter all my life,’ said 93-year-old Josephine Wright. Well, that makes two of us. Ms. Wright, please tell [me] where to show up and what you need to help you fight,” wrote Perry in a June 29 Instagram post, where he shared the news report. To date, it has received more than 7,000 comments from people, including celebrities, pledging their support.
Earlier this year, Perry committed to donating $2.57 million to help senior citizens with fixed incomes retain their homes that are located around Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. “I knew that the success of my studio would affect all the property values around it. But make no mistake: the seniors on fixed incomes around the studio will not lose their homes because of past due or rising taxes… no, sir!! We ain’t doing that to our legacy,” he wrote in a post.
Charise Graves, Wright’s granddaughter, has also launched a GoFundMe with the goal of raising $250,000 to cover attorney fees, build a fence around her property, and cover property taxes. At the time of this report, Saturday (July 1), more than $145,200 had been raised. The biggest donation was in the amount of $40,000 from Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving.
Rihanna reaches another billi with 10 songs topping a billion streams each on Spotify
Rihanna has such an undeniable influence on culture that she is breaking records without the help of new music. Like she said in “Hard,” that Rihanna reign just won’t let up, as the Bad Gal is shining bright like a diamond after becoming the first female artist with 10 songs to each reach a billion streams on Spotify.
And rightfully so, she has chosen not to be humble about the effortless career flex. “Bad Gal billi … with no new album… lemme talk my s**t,” she wrote in an Instagram post on Friday (June 30). Fans applauded the singer for her continued success, with comments congratulating her on the feat. But others would be remiss if they did not take a moment to acknowledge that it has been more than a minute since the nine-time Grammy Award winner released a new project.
“Not you reminding us about the missing album,” playfully wrote one person. A second individual joked, “She being petty now with no new album.” And a third commented, “Everyone saying no rush, BUT RUSHHHH. I’ve been waiting [seven] years now.” Rihanna’s last album, Anti, dropped in 2016 and boasts hit tracks like “Work” featuring Drake, “Needed Me,” and “Love On The Brain.” According to Insider, since then, she has been a featured artist on nine records and has contributed three records for films (“Lift Me Up” and “Born Again” for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack and “Sledgehammer” to promote Star Trek Beyond).
On the topic of new music, ahead of her 2023 Super Bowl halftime show performance, Rihanna said, “Musically, I’m feeling open,” in a pre-game Apple Music interview. She continued, “I’m feeling open to exploring, discovering, creating, things that are new, things that are different, things that are off, weird, [that] might not ever make sense to my fans. You know, the people that know the music that I put out.”
A new album, song, visual, snippet, or whatever could be imminent. But what fans know for sure is that her previous releases are still worth listening to.
Twitter Introduces ‘Temporary Limit’ on Number of Posts Users Can Read, Unverified Accounts Get 800 per Day
Twitter owner Elon Musk made an abrupt announcement Saturday morning: the social media service has instituted a “temporary limit” on the amount of posts that users can read. Verified accounts that have paid for a Twitter Blue subscription can view 8000 posts per day, while unverified accounts — the vast majority of Twitter users — may only view 800 posts per day.
Newly registered unverified accounts get even less at 400 per day, though Musk did not specify how old an account must be to qualify for that tier.
When the update was first announced, post viewing was limited to 6000, 600 and 300, respectively across those same categories of users.
Musk explains that the guardrails have been created “to address extreme levels of data scraping and system manipulation.” The announcement come a day after Twitter’s Friday action to block access to the website for anyone who isn’t signed in as a registered user.
“Temporary emergency measure. We were getting data pillaged so much that it was degrading service for normal users!” Musk wrote on Friday afternoon. He also claimed that “several hundred organizations” were scraping Twitter data more aggressively, impacting user experience.
“What should we do to stop that? I’m open to ideas,” Musk posited. This new daily limit to readable posts seems to be one of those ideas.
It remains unclear how long these “temporary” limitations will be enforced.
These recent announcements are the latest tumultuous developments in the multi-billionaire’s venture with the social media site, after announcing his bid to purchase Twitter in April 2022 before officially acquiring it in Oct. 2022.
ESPN Cuts About 20 On-Air Personalities, Including Jeff Van Gundy, Suzy Kolber, Jalen Rose, Max Kellerman & Keyshawn Johnson
ESPN is letting go of about 20 on-air personalities, including two familiar names to NBA viewers: game analyst Jeff Van Gundy and studio co-host Jalen Rose.
Keyshawn Johnson, a former NFL player who had co-hosted ESPN Radio’s national morning show in one of many chapters in a 16-year run on ESPN, is also among those leaving. Also out is Max Kellerman, Johnson’s radio co-host as well as host of This Just In and formerly Stephen A. Smith’s longtime sparring partner on daily morning TV staple First Take. Suzy Kolber, a 27-year veteran of ESPN who most recently hosted Monday Night Countdown, also confirmed her exit. While she described the end of her run as “heartbreaking” in a tweet, she also said she was “grateful,” noting that “longevity for a woman in this business is something I am especially proud of.”
A person familiar with the cutbacks told Deadline they are unrelated to the multi-round Disney layoffs implemented in recent months. Those reductions saw a number of senior-level execs leave ESPN but spared on-air talent. The source indicated that many of those affected by the new cuts have contracts beyond June 30 and will be paid out accordingly, but parting ways will enable ESPN to avoid wider layoffs. The sports operation is now its own division of Disney, making its financials more visible.
Also part of the new wave of departures are NHL analyst Chris Chelios, NFL analyst Rob Ninkovich and 23-year SportsCenter anchor Neil Everett. Those individual exits had been reported in recent weeks.
“Given the current environment, ESPN has determined it necessary to identify some additional cost savings in the area of public-facing commentator salaries, and that process has begun,” ESPN said in a statement. “This exercise will include a small group of job cuts in the short-term and an ongoing focus on managing costs when we negotiate individual contract renewals in the months ahead. This is an extremely challenging process, involving individuals who have had tremendous impact on our company. These difficult decisions, based more on overall efficiency than merit, will help us meet our financial targets and ensure future growth.”
ESPN has been navigating a dramatic shift in its economic foundation due to ongoing cord-cutting. After peaking at about 100 million households a decade ago, the network reported reaching 74 million homes in 2022, depriving it of significant distribution revenue. Apart from events like college football, the NFL and the NBA, which have seen robust ratings, linear tune-in has been declining for all traditional networks as more viewers turn to streaming.
Disney has confirmed it is actively planning to offer a more complete version of ESPN as a stand-alone streaming option, but migrating it is a fraught process given the network’s agreements with pay-TV operators, leagues and other stakeholders. ESPN+, which launched in 2018, reached 25.3 million subscribers earlier this year but does not carry a full complement of news or live event programming.
At the same time it is facing disruptions to its long-reliable revenue streams, ESPN is also confronting steep escalations in sports rights fees. Disney has recently opted to re-up with the NFL, expand its SEC college football footprint and reclaim the NHL, but it faces a multi-billion-dollar question about whether to re-up with the NBA when that deal expires after the 2024-25 season.
Van Gundy, the former head coach of the New York Knicks, has been part of a longtime trio calling NBA games for ESPN, alongside Mike Breen and Mark Jackson. Rose, in addition to his NBA studio duties, previously hosted daytime talk show Jalen & Jacoby.
Halle Berry Reportedly In No Hurry to Get Married Again
*While Halle Berry and her boyfriend Van Hunt continue to be a happy couple, sources say the actress is reportedly not ready to marry the musician.
RadarOnline.com quotes sources who say the 56-year-old actress has made it clear to her boyfriend of three and a half years that she is not looking for a proposal.
After unions with David Justice, Eric Benét and Oliver Martinez didn’t work out, “Halle doesn’t want to make another mistake and end up in divorce court,” the unnamed witness told Radar. “Van’s so easygoing and great with her two kids [Nahla, 15, and Maceo-Robert, 9], but the idea of saying ‘I do,’ only to have the marriage crash and burn scares her.”
The insider added that Halle is happy to sidestep any discussion about a prenuptial agreement.
“That always complicates things. She’s happier than she’s been in a long time. Why rock the boat?,” said the source, noting the actress is worth an estimated $50 million compared to Hunt’s $10 million.
Berry hasn’t been shy about expressing the joy she’s found with Hunt, telling AARP The Magazine last year: “For the first time in my life, everything is firing on all cylinders” in all aspects of her life.
She added, “I really believe I’ve found my person. My son Maceo on his own did this little commitment ceremony for us in the back seat of the car. I think he finally sees me happy, and it’s infectious. It was his way of saying, ‘This is good. This makes me happy,’”
At 53, Naomi Campbell Announces Birth of Her Son
*Naomi Campbell announced on social media Thursday that she is the proud mother of two children.
The 53-year-old supermodel welcomed a baby boy on June 29. On Instagram, she shared a photo of her holding her little one while her 2-year-old daughter joins in.
“My little darling, know that you are cherished beyond measure and surrounded by love from the moment you graced us with your presence,” Campbell captioned the post. “A True Gift from God … blessed ! Welcome Babyboy.”
The supermodel added, “It’s never too late to become a mother.”
Campbell welcomed her daughter in May 2021, presumably via a surrogate
“She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child,” Campbell told British Vogue in 2022.
“I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her,” she told the publication. “But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”
“I always knew that one day I would be a mother, but it’s the biggest joy I could ever imagine. I’m lucky to have her and I know that,” she added.
The little girl’s full face is not shown in any of the images. Campbell captioned the post “Blessing” followed by three heart emojis and the hashtags “#mothersday #UK.”
When Campbell announced in 2021 that she welcomed her first child, she wrote in a heartwarming Instagram post: “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love.”

In honor of Mother’s Day in the U.K. in March, Campbell shared a series of photos of herself with her daughter, including a throwback picture of their trip to Abu Dhabi.
